(Back in Petalburger, everyone was having a wonderful evening celebrating the defeat of Hooktail with music playing. However, Mario, Goombella, Koops, and Frankly were just sitting somewhere and relaxing. Mario was still examining the Chaos Emerald that he got from Koops's father)
GOOMBELLA:
So, Mario, what makes you so desperate for these diamonds?
MARIO:
You mean the Chaos Emeralds? Well, some red echidna told me a prediction that I was to find all seven of these things.
GOOMBELLA:
Well, look at the good news; you already got one in your hands.
KOOPS:
If there are seven of them, and you already got one, that means you got six more to go.
MARIO:
Yeah, I don't even know which place to pick.
GOOMBELLA:
Let's head back to Rogueport, okay?
(Goombella's friends came up to her)
GOOMBRIEL:
Yo Goombella, Mr. Bobbery wants us to have, like, an interview with him.
GOOMBELLA:
Okay homies, let's go?
MARIO:
Who's Mr. Bobbery?
GOOMBELLA:
He's my geometry teacher.
KOOPS:
Aren't you gonna come with us?
GOOMBELLA:
Not right now, but I may possibly consider joining your crew later. I've gotta now, bye Mario, please take care of Koops for me, okay?
MARIO:
Will do.
(The Goombas all left in a hurry)
MARIO:
C'mon Koops, our big Chaos Emerald adventure awaits for us.
KOOPS:
Alright, just let me say bye to those residents.
MARIO:
Sure thing, no rush, just take it-a easy.
KOOPS:
Bye Dad, I'm gonna continue traveling with Mario.
KOOPS'S DAD:
Okay son, just listen to Mario and do what he says, okay?
KROOP:
I can't believe you're going with Nintendo's mascot!
KOOPIE KOO:
And Koops, I wanna bid you farewell, because you don't need me anymore, and I'm sorry about what happened between us earlier, you were a very brave turtle.
KOOPS:
Thanks guys. Well, I'm off.
(He was waving goodbye to Petalburger)
KOOPS:
Goodbye, Petalburger!
RESIDENTS:
Goodbye!
FRANKLY:
Finally, this chapter's over!
MARIO:
I know, right?
KOOPS:
So, which place can we find the next Chaos Emerald?
MARIO:
Like I said, I don't know.
(His phone chimed)
MARIO:
Oh, please Dad, I'm on my way!
(He picked up his phone and saw that Peach had texted him)
MARIO:
Princess Peach, what the mama-mia!
KOOPS:
Wait, Princess Peach texted you?
MARIO:
My Dearest Mario, I send this letter in the hope that it reaches you safely. I am being held against my will in some strange place. Though I do not know where I am, I remain unharmed and in relative comfort. Those who have captured me seem to be after those objects they call the "Chaos Emeralds". I do not know what they are planning, but I have a feeling it is not anything positive. Mario, please collect these Chaos Emeralds before they do. You must! They are already aware that you're after the emeralds, so please be very careful. And please… don't worry about me. Princess Peach.
KOOPS:
Wow… she really means it, we've gotta get those emeralds before those guys do! They look like they could be sold at a very high price!
MARIO:
Yeah, but I'm not doing this for Peach.
KOOPS:
I understand. But we've gotta take that to Professor Frankly's office and let him look at it.
FRANKLY:
Yeah, let's go!
(Next scene shifts to Frankly's office. Mario and Koops were showing the Chaos Emerald to Frankly, however they could hear Frankly's voice in the background even though he's literally in the office, confirming that there are two Franklys now)
FRANKLY:
Hrmm… that is a pretty interesting diamond!
KOOPS:
Any suggestions on how to find the second Chaos Emerald?
FRANKLY:
You'll have to figure that out.
KOOPS:
sighs* Fine, we'll do it, right Mario?
MARIO:
I guess, I need to get the contact lens anyway, I almost forgot about that.
(The Frankly that's currently following Mario and Koops around fell through the ceiling)
FRANKLY #1:
Ooh, that's gotta leave a mark… hey there, Professor Frankly!
FRANKLY #2:
Hey, Frankly, what's up?
MARIO:
What the…?
KOOPS:
Why are there two Franklys?
(Next scene shifts to Mario, Koops, and Frankly #1 already at the same store that Mario tried to get the contact lenses)
MANAGER:
Hey, Mayro! You made it just in time! The contact lenses are here!
MARIO:
Alright!
(Mario payed for the contact lenses and took off)
MANAGER:
Have a good night, Mayro!
MARIO:
You too, sir!
(Next scene shifts to the motel where Zess T. was having a really hard time with her job because her contact lens are dead. Mario, Koops, and Frankly approached her)
MARIO:
E-Excuse me…?
ZESS T.:
Did you bring me my contact lens, Mr. Squishy?
MARIO:
Yes! Yes I got you those contact lens so you won't call the cops on me for no reason. Now, here you go.
(Mario hands Zess T. her new contact lens)
ZESS T.:
A contact lens! Oh, sweet relief! Thank you! Finally, the world is crisp and clear again! I can see! Oh! I'm so happy!
KOOPS:
I'm glad you're happy, ma'am.
ZESS T.:
Be careful from now on. People don't generally like having their stuff stomped on.
MARIO:
Look, it was just an accident, now let's let bygones be bygones, okey dokey?
(At the Marios room)
JUMPMAN:
Where the heck is Mario?
(Mario knocked on the door)
PAULINE:
I'll get that!
(She opened the door)
PAULINE:
Mario! What a surprise to see you… and your friends, I guess.
MARIO:
These are Koops and Frankly, they accompanied me on my quest.
LADY:
What quest?
MARIO:
Well…
FRANKLY:
He's on this quest to collect seven Chaos Emeralds! He found one from a freaking dragon called Hooktail!
JUMPMAN:
What?
MARIO:
Yeah, the truth is, I'm on some quest to collect these seven diamonds called the Chaos Emeralds, and like Professor Frankly said, I kinda slayed a dragon and got this baby!
(He shows the Chaos Emerald to his dad, mom, and sister)
PAULINE:
Oh my gosh, can it be!?
MARIO:
Yeah, pretty crazy, right? I'm just sleeping in for the night and continuing the quest tomorrow.
KOOPS:
First, we gotta figure out which emerald to find next.
MARIO:
You're right, I still haven't figured it out yet.
KOOPS:
Maybe tomorrow we'll choose a random location.
MARIO:
Okay.
PAULINE:
Well, where are Koops and Professor Frankly gonna sleep? This rooms only for five people.
MARIO:
I'll just talk with the clerk and book ourselves a new room.
JUMPMAN:
Okay.
(Mario, Koops, and Frankly went up to the clerk)
MARIO:
Hey, I would like to book a new room for me and my colleagues.
CLERK:
Oh, isn't that so? You're on a big quest and will eventually find more colleagues? Alright, if that's the case, then, give me a moment if you please.
(He grabbed a random key and gave it to Mario)
CLERK:
Here you go, I hope your quest turns out good.
MARIO:
Thanks!
(Later at the room)
KOOPS:
Aah, this is the life.
FRANKLY:
It feels like paradise!
MARIO:
Yeah, I'm just gonna watch some TV, maybe like SpongeBob or Fairly OddParents?
KOOPS:
Okay, I am getting tired, it's been a super long day for me.
(Koops gets himself positioned and slowly falls asleep. Mario then turns on the TV and the first thing that he saw was the news)
NEWS REPORTER:
We have breaking news! The famous superstar Madame Flurrie is officially getting married tomorrow, and she has invited her fans, her future husband's family, and her favorite creatures called Punies over to her wedding in Hawaii!
RITA:
Hi, I'm Rita Loud, and I'm a huge fan of Madame Flurrie, so once I heard the news that she's getting married, the news guys gave me a chance to interview the one and only Flurrie! So Madame Flurrie, what's it like to get married?
(Rita holds the microphone over to Flurrie)
FLURRIE:
Hey, thanks for being my fan! Also, that marriage is gonna be exciting!
RITA:
You heard her, folks! She's just dying to get married!
LYNN:
This is Lynn Loud, and I'm here to interview Madame Flurrie's soon to be husband, Sir Randall! So Sir Randall, you gonna take good care of Flurrie?
RANDALL:
Oh, you know it, bro! This is gonna be the best day of my life!
MARIO:
Ugh, that Shadow Siren! This poor lady needs help, if only I went there… wait… isn't the giant tree somewhere in Hawaii?
(Mario checks his gadget and looks at the emerald that's shown in the giant tree. Tomorrow morning, Mario was in the kitchen eating pancakes while Koops and Frankly were eating bacon)
KOOPS:
So Mario, have you figured out where our next emerald should be?
MARIO:
Yes! It's In Hawaii!
ZESS T.:
Wait… isn't that place where Madame Flurrie's getting married?
MARIO:
Yeah! She's marrying a Shadow Siren, those creatures who work for Elmo!
ZESS T.:
You're crazy, Sir Stomps-a-Lot! How can they work for a Sesame Street character?
(Mario finished his pancakes)
MARIO:
Okay, I'm-a finished.
(Koops finished his bacon)
KOOPS:
So am I, let's go, Mario!
(Mario got up and was shocked when he saw a Puni. The Puni ran away as Mario chased after him)
KOOPS:
Mario, where are you going!? Wait for us!
(Koops and Frankly chased after Mario. Mario kept chasing the Puni all the way to the pipe into the sewers. However the Puni slipped through the cage gap. Mario barely made the gap wider for him to squeeze through. He finally caught up to the scared Puni and cornered him)
PUNI:
Stay away from me! Please!
MARIO:
I'm-a sorry that I scared you, but I saw a lot of these creatures called Punies, and I'm assuming you're related to them.
PUNI:
How do you know about me and my relatives!? No! You must be working for Lord Elmo! It's the end of the world!
MARIO:
Finally, someone knows that Lord Elmo exists as a bad guy! Anyway…
(Koops and Frankly finally caught up to Mario)
KOOPS:
There you are, what were you doing chasing that poor creature?
MARIO:
I wanted to gather information from this poor Puni because I watched the news last night about Madame Flurrie getting married to a Shadow Siren!
KOOPS:
Oh, so that's why you wanna go to Hawaii! But what's that gotta do with the Chaos Emerald?
PUNI:
Hmm, now that you mentioned it, we do have a Chaos Emerald somewhere in the Great Tree. My name's Punio! Pleasure meeting you!
MARIO:
The pleasure's all mine! I'm-a Mario, and this is Koops and Frankly.
PUNIO:
Follow me, I know just how to get to Hawaii without taking a plane. I just gotta find a switch that the elder told me about, here it is!
(Punio pushed the switch and a secret entrance has been revealed)
MARIO:
Aah!
PUNIO:
I'll be waiting for you at the Great Tree!
FRANKLY:
Let's go, gang!
