A/N: Guardian Sage– Thanks for the feedback. I've gone back over both chapters and I think I got it covered. Also... Yeah, I like that idea and I think I'm going to go ahead and include it in my story. Maybe one or two more as well, we'll see.

Chapter 15

"You lied!"

"Billy?!" Zoe called out, causing Judy to stiffen. Zoe let go of Judy and walked over to where the spirit stood.

"Billy, I thought you'd moved on?"

The poor little buck was in tears "I tried! I really did! But I couldn't leave! I went home and there were strangers living in my house! I couldn't find my mom or dad anywhere!"

Zoe knelt down in front of Billy "I'm sorry little one. You should have been able to move on. Unless..." Zoe sank back on her haunches as a possibility occured to her. "Unless there's something keeping you here. When you left the playground, where did you go?"

"Back to the river where I woke up after dying. When I went home and tried again after seeing all those strangers the same thing happened."

Zoe sighed. She thought she knew the reason Billy couldn't leave. "It's okay Billy. I didn't lie to you, I think I know what's keeping you tied to this reality. Just be patient with me okay?"

"Okay" his tears stopping.

Zoe turned to her surprised girlfriend "Looks like our night isn't over yet. We need to head down to the police station, I need to talk to Edgar and Walter."

Shaken, Judy agreed and she drove them to the Bunnyburrow Police Station. When they arrived Zoe entered first. Edgar and Walter were sitting down once more discussing some sports team or other but stopped when Zoe and Judy walked in.

"Judy! Zoe! Nice to see you! Judy, you still planning on joining the ZPD?" Walter asked.

"As soon as I turn 18 Walter."

"So, what can we do for you two lovely doe's?" Asked Edgar.

Zoe responded "Well, I need both of you to have an open mind for what I'm about to tell you."

The two rams nodded and Walter said "Go on."

"Remember when I told you both that sometimes I know things?" They nodded. "Well, that does happen to me, but sometimes I see spirits, ghosts."

"It's true!" Judy interjected when Ed and Walter looked at each other. Judy stood closer to Zoe and grabbed her paw, squeezing it to show her support.

"And I can more than see them. I can talk to them as well. Right now I'm trying to help a lost spirit named Billy Hopps."

Edgar leaned forward placing his elbows on his desk. "Okay, how are we supposed to believe you? You have to admit, it's a pretty outrageous claim."

"Check your records. Billy Hopps, year 554. The river was at flood stage."

"That would be in Records. I'll check." Walter said as he got up and walked into the back.

Edgar grabbed a pen and a note pad from on his desk and said "Okay, tell us what Billy lookes like."

"About a foot high, brown fur with green eyes. He had a white stripe running from the tip of his nose going up to his forehead."

Edgar wrote the information down "So, if he's here, and I'm not saying he isn't, why has he suddenly shown up now and why is he hanging around."

"He hasn't suddenly shown up here Ed. It's just that no one could see him before."

"And you can." Ed interjected.

"Ever since I was little in my other reality, I would talk to spirits and wonder why no one else could see them."

"So why is he still here?"

"Spirits usually linger when they have unfinished business, or they're attached to something on this side of the veil. I don't think Billy's body has been found and that's why he's still here. I think that, even though I've explained to him that he's dead, there's still a little bit of him that's denying it. I think that if we find his body, and he sees it, then he'll be able to move on."

Edgar looked at the two doe's holding hands and asked "So, you two..."

Judy smiled and said, "She's my girlfriend!"

"Well, that was fast!"

Zoe blushed as Judy explained "We just felt drawn to each other."

"Then I wish you the best!" Ed looked over at Zoe and said, "Seems you've had a pretty busy day."

Zoe sighed "Tell me about it! So many things happening so fast that it's making my head spin!"

Judy pretended to whisper, "That's just me Beautiful!" making Zoe blush again and Edgar to start laughing.

Walter came walking out of the back holding some stapled paper in his hoof. "Okay, I have a missing mammal report for one William Aaron Hopps AKA 'Billy', rabbit, reported missing March the 27th 554. Last seen with a one Kevin Brian Grey, red fox, also reported missing."

Edgar was staring at Zoe in shock as his jaw hung down. With effort, he was able to ask his partner "Description?"

"Eleven and a half inches in height, brown fur, green eyes, distinguishing mark - a white stripe running up the center of his face."

Edgar handed the note pad he had written on to his partner while he still continued to stare at Zoe. Walter did the same after reading the description. With visible effort, they were able to pull themselves together.

Walter spoke to his partner "I remember my folks and grandparents talking about a flood that happened back then. The river burst its banks and flooded a huge area."

"Yeah, a lot of the old timers talk about it."

Edgar agreed. "Okay, well, there's nothing we can do right now, it's too late. Let's meet here tomorrow, say eight, and we'll see what we can do."

Zoe felt lighter immediately "Thank you Edgar, Walter. I appreciate you believing me!"

Walter chuckled "Well, I didn't at first, but you made a very convincing case." Edgar nodded in consensus.

The doe's left the station and Zoe was a little surprised at how dark it had gotten. "Oh crap! I hope mom and dad aren't going to kill me for getting home so late!"

"Don't worry Love, they'll understand."

Zoe felt all warm inside when Judy called her 'love'. She leaned into her girlfriend as they walked out to their truck. Judy held Zoe's paw most of the way home.

oooOOOooo

As they approached the front doors, Judy stopped and pulled Zoe around to face her. Amethyst eyes met white as she said "I want you to know that I'm proud of you. You showed strength in opening up to what you can do and possibly being mocked for it. Especially in front of officials such as Edgar and Walter." Judy then leaned forward and gave Zoe a chaste kiss. The kiss lasted longer than either had planned, but they didn't mind.

They opened the door and walking inside, still holding paws. Several members of their family were moving around in the huge entrance way, barely giving the couple a glance. Judy put the key's away while Zoe watched one couple making out. She felt she must be getting used to her new self when she realized that she didn't find it all that unusual. Instead, she began to wonder what it would be like if Judy did that to her. She found that she rather liked the idea.

As Judy took her by the paw again Judy said, "Dinner's almost over, Mom and Dad will be there."

Zoe followed Judy into the Dining Hall and saw Bonnie and Stu at the same table they were at this morning. They saw their two daughters strolling up, holding hands and looked at each other. Judy and Zoe sat at their parents table and Judy said "Mom, Dad, we need to talk to you about something."

Stu groaned and leaned his head back saying, "I'm not good with these kinds of conversations."

Judy shook her head "No Dad, it's not about Zoe and me being together. It's about something else. Something with Zoe."

Their parents looked at Zoe. Normally, she'd be scared of what she was about to tell them, afraid that they'd decide they didn't want her to live with them anymore. But Zoe felt the same calmness that seemed to permeate through her.

"Mom, Dad. You know I'm an Entry. It seems that certain things I could do in my previous reality has carried over."

Stu looked nervous while Bonnie was more curious than anything else. So Zoe continued. "For as long as I can remember, I would get these... feelings, kinda like nudges. Sometimes it would be like I need to be somewhere. I would also tend to just know things like where my dad had left his car keys. Or when my mom's car broke down and that she'd be late. I can hold something and just know things about it. But the biggest thing would be that I can see, and talk to, spirits... ghosts."

Both Bonnie and Stu were taken aback at this confession of Zoe's.

"It's true! I saw it!" Judy exclaimed "Not the ghost, but I saw the swing move when there was nothing there to make it move! Then it stopped and started moving again! Then I saw it twitch. Zoe was talking to someone I couldn't see!"

Zoe picked the narrative back up "It was a little buck named Billy. I talked to him and tried to get him to move on but he wasn't able to. So Judy drove me down to the police station and I talked to Edgar and Walter. They were able to confirm I was telling the truth. The little bucks name was Billy Aaron Hopps. He had light brown fur, green eyes, and a white stripe from his nose up to his forehead. He drowned back in March of 554."

When Zoe had finished Stu started making incoherent noises before his eyes rolled up in his head and he fainted. Bonnie was still wearing a shocked expression.

"Dad?" Judy and Zoe called out.

Bonnie just waved at them and mumbled, "He'll be okay, he just fainted."

Zoe grasped Bonnie's paw and asked "Mom?"

Bonnie shook her head "I'm okay. Shocked, but okay."

"Why did Dad faint? I didn't mean to scare him."

"No Zoe, it's okay. Your dad tends to do that. He's a little high strung, even for a rabbit. It's just that you described his Uncle William that went missing about seventy years ago."

Zoe's shoulders sagged at the news. She'd inadvertently caused pain to her new dad, and she hadn't wanted to do that. Judy put her paw on Zoe's shoulders and rubbed them, trying to comfort her.

"I'm sorry." Zoe said sadly.

"Don't be. You must be frazzled! So many things going on in such a short period of time! We didn't even get to go shopping for underwear for you."

Where did that come from? Zoe thought. Judy looked at her with an amused expression. It was at this point when Zoe realized that it was unusually quiet. Looking around, she could see dozens of eyes on her. She'd forgotten about how good rabbit hearing was. Fortunately, she was in her zone, and it failed to bother her. Either they'd accept her or they wouldn't. She had her new mom and dad as well as her girlfriend. She'd survive. Judy saw Zoe turn to look around and saw the same thing Zoe had. However, her reaction was a little different. She began glaring at them until they started their normal routines again, ignoring what was happening at the main table.

"I am Mom. I just hope that after I'm able to help Billy move on that things will slow down. I have to meet Edgar and Walter tomorrow at eight to see if I can get it done."

Bonnie's eyes teared up. The idea of such a young child dying, just like her newest daughter had, tugged hard at her heartstrings. She reached across the table and took the paw that Judy didn't have a death grip on.

"You do what you need to do. Stu will stay here and take care of the farm as usual. I'll head in and get you signed up for school. If you're free in the afternoon, we'll go get you some underwear."

Zoe's heart melted. Her mom accepted her, even with all the weird supernatural stuff that she came with. Zoe stood up, pulling her paw out of Judy's, and walked around to the side of the table Bonnie was on and gave her a big, heartfelt hug.

"It's okay Mom, but I'm actually okay without underwear. Thank you for adopting me."

Bonnie's heart melted. After the hug, Judy walked Zoe to her room. Stopping outside Zoe's door Judy asked Zoe if she was sure she didn't want to move in with her. Zoe told Judy that, yes, she did, but not just yet.

oooOOOooo

Zoe wasn't having an easy time falling asleep. Between everything with Judy, and did that happen fast! And what was going on with Billy, Zoe just felt overwhelmed. She tossed and turned for hours until, frustrated and exhausted, she grabbed her blanket and pillow and went outside. She found a little grassy area not far from the house where she lay down with her blanked and pillow and, with a cool, gentle breeze blowing over her, was able to relax enough that she was able to finally fall asleep.

oooOOOooo

Zoe awoke with the early morning sunlight showing through her closed eyelids. She felt Judy spooning her from behind, her paw on her upper stomach and her breath tickling the fur behind her right ear. She reached down and started stroking the fur on Judy's arm, a small smile on her face thinking about how Judy had found her out here.

"So, you can talk to ghosts. Just when I thought you couldn't get any cooler!"

Zoe's eyes snapped open, and she froze. That wasn't Judy's voice! Zoe grabbed Candace's arm and flung it off of her. Then she rolled to her feet so fast she almost made herself dizzy. Candace was still laying on the blanket and looking up at Zoe with a smile on her face.

"What do you think you were doing?" Zoe demanded.

"Well, I saw you and thought you might be a little cold, so I started cuddling with you. You looked so adorable that I couldn't resist."

"I'm with someone now Candace."

Candace smirked "I know, Judy. I could smell her on you. Doesn't mean you have to be exclusive, just ask Judy."

Zoe stood there trying to think of a proper answer but realized that she couldn't.

"Judy warned me about you. She said you didn't know the meaning of the word 'no' sometimes."

"Hey! That was one time! Okay, twice. I just got a little overexcited."

"So, what was it that you did?"

"I think that you should ask Judy that. She was the only one to complain about it. All the others didn't seem to have a problem with it. You might like it as well if you'd just come to my room. You can't tell me you didn't enjoy it when I licked your ear." Candace's voice dropped at the last sentence and she let her tongue lick her upper lip.

Zoe was both appalled and tempted by Candace's offer. What's wrong with me?! Judy's my girlfriend! I shouldn't be wanting to accept Candace's proposal! But Zoe did want to take her up on it and it made Zoe feel awful. She turned and started walking quickly back to the burrow.

"Hey! Zoe! Wait!"

Zoe chose to ignore her, walking as fast as she could to the entrance. She'd almost made it when the door opened and she saw Judy standing there. Zoe ran and threw herself into Judy's arms. "We didn't do anything, I swear! I thought she was you!" Zoe said, her voice shaking. Zoe quickly explained what had happened and Judy hugged her even tighter. Judy glared up at Candace who was now approaching at a more sedate pace.

When she got close enough, Candace stopped and addressed Judy. "Jude's, you need to have a talk with your girlfriend. Entry's don't appear with a complete knowledge of their new life here so she's... lacking... in some information. You need to fill her in."

"Whatever information she needs I'll provide it, don't worry. As for now, we have someplace to be."

"She'll need to get dressed then." Candace said as she looked Zoe up and down.

Zoe's face flamed. She'd forgotten that she had fallen asleep naked, she hadn't thought about clothes when she'd come outside last night. She couldn't decide whether she should act normal or be mortified. "Why can't I just have one normal day?" Zoe whined.

Candace just snickered and walked into the burrow.

"It's okay Zoe" Judy said "you know that nudity inside the burrow is common, no one is going to care."

Zoe nodded and stood up straight, Judy releasing her but snatching Zoe's paw to hold on to. This made Zoe smile. So, she took a deep breath and with her head held high, started walking into the burrow with Judy.

"Although, I have to admit, you are one sexy bunny!"

oooOOOooo

Judy was once again driving one of the Hopps vehicles toward the police station. Zoe used this opportunity of privacy with her girlfriend to explain further what had happened earlier and to try and find out what Candace had been talking about.

"What did Candace mean when she said you and I didn't need to be exclusive? I thought that's what being girlfriends meant."

Judy was quiet for a few seconds to gather her thoughts "For a few mammals, not many mind you, and you may have been one of those where you came from, they have only one partner, one mate. Most mammals, and rabbits are on the extreme end of this group, tend to be more... free... with their affections. Not to say that all rabbits are like that. Mom and Dad haven't even looked at other rabbits in that way since they got together. It's just rare that it happens. As for being girlfriends, it's like you can spend the night with someone else, as long as I agree to it. Remember me telling you about how intimate rabbits tend to be? And how that the only thing that is frowned upon is having a relationship with someone in the same litter?"

Zoe nodded. "Yeah, back where I'm from if you're with someone and they see someone else it was considered cheating unless both agreed it was okay. Being exclusive was considered normal."

Judy's ears twitched "Do you want to be exclusive? We can be if you want to, but I think that it would help you if we weren't. Rabbits aren't really meant to be exclusive."

"Can I think about it?"

"Sure." "

Candace keeps hitting on me." Zoe admitted.

"I know. And if you want to spend the night with her it's okay with me. Just remember to be careful. Although I'd prefer it if you spent the night with me first."

Zoe reached over and patted Judy's thigh. "I promise. The first person I spend the night with will be you, and I do mean 'in that way'."

That made Judy grin.

Zoe's next question caused it to disappear. "What did Candace do to make you stop seeing her?"

Judy's lips formed into a thin line. She gripped the steering wheel a bit harder than necessary before taking a deep breath and answering. "Candace and I were together for a while and we both got interested in a certain... lifestyle... where we liked to do things like tie each other up during sex."

"BDSM" Zoe cut in.

Judy glanced over at her in surprise before turning her attention back to the road. "Yeah, BDSM. You know about that?"

"I'm 13, I wasn't raised under a rock. The internet was full of stuff like that."

"The what?"

"The Internet."

"Never heard of it."

That surprised Zoe. They didn't have the internet here? She did have things to learn.

"Anyway," Judy continued "Candace and I really enjoyed that part of our relationship. The thing is, it requires a lot of trust between the participants. One night, Candace had me tied down to the bed with a hood over my head that only left my ears exposed. It had breathing holes, but I was basically gagged. That's when I found out that Candace had gone into Zootopia to a certain shop there and bought certain items.

I want you to understand that, at that point, I wasn't a virgin. I'd already slept with a couple of bucks and really enjoyed my time with them. So, when I found out that Candace had gotten a harness thing that could hold a dildo shaped like a bucks penis, A very large bucks penis, I was actually a little excited. She'd tied me up where my paws to my ankles and then tied my ankles so that my legs were spread. My tail was high in the air, and I couldn't move. That's when I felt Candace rub something very slippery onto my rear end. She knew that I was curious about trying something like that, but I wasn't quite ready yet. Especially with something that large. I started crying out 'NO', jerking around in the ropes trying to get away, all the while giving her the 'STOP' signal. She ignored them all. Afterwards, she said she wanted something of me that no one else had gotten."

"She raped you in the rear end?!" Zoe gasped.

"Technically, I guess she did. But even though I ended up enjoying it I couldn't be with her any longer. I couldn't trust her anymore."

"I'm sorry that happened to you. Didn't she get punished or anything?"

"We talked about it. She apologized profusely and I told her that she had better not do something like that again. As far as I know she hasn't."

Zoe was curious "Didn't it hurt though?"

"Yeah, I couldn't sit down for two days!"

Zoe winced at that, and she could feel her sphincter clench in sympathy.

"But, since then, I've done it a couple of other times with some other bucks."

Zoe was shocked. And yet more things she hadn't had time to process. They pulled up in front of the police station while Zoe was still thinking about what Judy had told her. She wasn't sure what to make of all the information she'd received on the ride over and decided that she was going to have to do some heavy thinking later on.

The two doe's, once again paw in paw, walked into the police station where Edgar and Walter were waiting for them. There were a couple of shovels and a large, plastic storage tub with trowels, a large sifter that looked recently made, and large paint brushes inside.

"Okay," Walter said "How do we do this?"

Zoe took a deep breath. "Okay, Billy keeps going back to one place by the river where he says he woke up. I think that's where his body is. I'm going to call him and have him lead us to that spot."

"What if he doesn't come?" asked Edgar.

Zoe shrugged, "I don't know. I may have to go back to the playground where I first saw him. Spirits tend to stay in places they've been before or places that seem familiar."

"Alright then," Edgar said as he grabbed the shovels and Walter picked up the large tub. While the two cops loaded the trunk of their car with the tools, Zoe stood to the side of the driveway.

"Billy" she called out "Billy, we need your help now. Billy." Zoe kept repeating herself while the others just watched her. She was starting to feel desperate after several minutes. Finally, taking a deep breath and trying to fall into that zen state that she had been feeling for the most of her time here, she began again.

"Billy, I need you to help us. You need to show us where you keep finding yourself by the river, okay? Please Billy. I'm trying to help you see your mom and dad again." About the third time she said it she could feel him nearby. Turning to her left, she saw him standing by a bush.

"Billy!" Zoe said in relief, "We need you to show us where by the river you keep showing up at, okay?"

Billy looked at Judy and the cops. "Are they going to help me too?" he asked.

"Edgar and Walter are. Judy is here to help me." Zoe said with a smile.

"Okay. What do you want me to do?"

"Well, we're going to drive, and you guide us, okay?" Zoe looked at the others and said, "Let's go."

They all clambered into their vehicles. Ed and Walter were going to follow Judy with Zoe relaying directions. They would slowly drive down the road until Zoe saw Billy standing at the intersection pointing in the direction they should go. At one such intersection Zoe started to feel that nudge again. "We're getting close!"

It was just a minute longer and they were passing a large grassy area when Zoe yelled out "Stop the truck!" Judy slammed on the breaks and Zoe jumped out. Zoe could see the river about a mile away, but she ran to a spot only about a hundred yards away on the right. As she approached, she could see Billy standing there waiting.

"This is where I find myself sometimes." He said. Zoe waited until the rest of the group could catch up, Edgar and Walter lugging the tools. When they got to where she was, she pointed to the spot Billy was standing on "There. Dig there. But please, be careful."

Billy moved to stand next to Zoe, a soulful expression on his young face. Zoe's heart went out to him, wishing she could hold him to comfort him. Judy put her arm around Zoe's shoulders in an effort to comfort her. It took about ten minutes and they'd dug down about eight inches before Edgar exclaimed "I found something!"

Zoe's heart started breaking when the cops started pulling up tiny bones and laying them on a piece of cloth nearby. She started crying and when they pulled up a tiny rabbit skull, Zoe dug her face into Judy's chest as Judy wrapped her arms around her and started rubbing Zoe's back.

Why can't I stay calm all the time? Why be calm one minute then and emotional wreck the next?

"Zoe?" Billy's soft voice caught Zoe's attention.

Zoe turned to Billy. Her tears had soaked her fur. "Why are you sad Zoe?"

"Because you died so young Billy. It hurts me when that happens."

"But you already knew I was dead. Why cry now?"

"Because it seems so real now that we found where your body is. I've never had to do this before."

"It's okay Zoe. Maybe I'll get another chance like you did."

"I hope so Billy."

"I think I'm ready now. I wish I could hug you."

"I wish you could too little one." Zoe watched as, with a smile, Billy waved bye as he faded away. Zoe dug her face into Judy's chest again and said quietly "He's moved on."

Stroking Zoe's back Judy said, "At least he's at peace now."

A/N: Yep, a lot has happened to our young heroine in the short time she's been in Zootopia. I can't say that things will slow down. I know what I want to happen, but you know that when I start writing the story tends to take on a life of its own.

Yes, Judy will get with Nick, as will Zoe eventually. I'm not sure where it will end. Nick aquiring a harem perhaps? Keep reading and find out!
