(The Arena)

Soon, all of the combatants, including the Mystery Fighters, had arrived at the hotel two days earlier than usual. For the most part, they kept only to their respective nodal companions and any friends they made before coming to the tournament.

When tournament day finally came, the stands were packed with people from all over. Video games, cartoons, anime, even live-action people.

Just like at the Tournament of Kikai, the ring was a simple wrestling/boxing ring floating in midair and there was a barrier to protect the crowd from stray enemy attacks.

HOWEVER, those who went to the Tournament of Kikai would notice that instead of a bunch of green swirling portals underneath the ring, there was a singular big one that looked like the Milky Way for some reason. Drake and Ashley both sat in their Announcer's Booth.

"Alright. One more time." Drake grinned. "Mics?"

Ashley flipped on a switch. "On!"

"Sound Booth?" Drake asked.

Ashley looked up a different booth to see Shadow, Astaroth and Aila. Shadow gave a thumbs-up.

"Accounted for." Ashley said before frowning. "And looking a little TOO eager."

"First thirty fighters?" Drake asked.

"All of them and they are more than happy to lead things off, even if they arguably have the worst chances of winning!" Ashley smiled.

"Lights?" Drake asked.

Ashley just smirked before putting a phone to his mouth. "Mr. MacGrath?"

"I heard the boss!" A voice reassured.

Then, electricity started to surge around the lights and monitors surrounding the TV. At first, everyone was worried and scared, but then all of the lights and monitors turned on automatically. While they were confused, they all cheered at the display.

"And THAT'S what I want to see!" Drake grinned. He then spoke into his mic. "Hello and welcome to the third Battle of the Luminaries!"

Everyone cheered at this.

"I am Drake and this is my best bud, Ashley and we will be your hosts for this night!" Drake grinned.

"Normally, Tinyhammer, who used to be called Tinyrocket, would host things, but we decided to let us hold the reins just like Orange-Ratchet did with Xero and Maurice!" Ashley said.

"First off, I want to thank all of you for coming here. I understand that things got crazy at the last tournament and NOT in a good way." Drake frowned.

Everyone winced at the memories. Especially those who were there at the time.

"That is why Tinyhammer swore off the Battle of the Luminaries for a while, just like SSBFreak at the third Megamix Tournament." Drake lamented. He then brightened up. "But then, GreyRaine and Orange-Ratchet has brought back the spark in the UVR genre with the Okron Tournament and Tournament of Kikai!"

Everyone cheered.

"Now it hasn't been too long since the Tournament of Kikai ended, but we will start with the basics." Ashley said. "Basically the Ultimate Video Rumble is a royal rumble where twenty, not thirty fighters enter the section at a time. And the aim of the game is to knock each other out of the ring and into the portal underneath us."

"There, they will be forced to last ten minutes in a random before ending up in the Recovery Room where our medical team will nurse them back to health!" Drake smirked. "But don't think it is as simple as that. Oh no!"

(Hotel; Bison's Room)

M. Bison grinned, darkly as he sat at his desk with a bunch of blueprints in his hands.

"That vacation as the Tournament of Kikai really paid off!" Bison noted. "This may be my best piece of work yet!"

He then heard a knocking at the door.

"Forgive me, Master Bison, but Ganondorf is at the door like you asked." F.A.N.G.'s voice said.

Bison's pupil-less eyes lit up at this. "Ah, let him in!"

The door opened to reveal that it was indeed the King of Evil himself, Ganondorf. He walked in with his arms crossed and a stern look on his face.

"Ah, Ganondorf! I must admit that I had my worries that you be hesitant about wanting to team-up with me again after what happened at the Okron Tournament." Bison smiled.

"I could assure you that your worries are NOT unfounded!" The Gerudo spat. "I only came here because Vega said I didn't have to join, just to let you humour me."

"Well, I admit that you are 100% entitled to that. But I have two reasons why you should join in." Bison said. "I have no intention to go after the Triforce. I did not need to!"

Ganondorf raised an eyebrow. "And the second one?"

"Just take a quick read of these." Bison offered, holding out his blueprints.

Ganondorf looked sceptical before reading the blueprints. However, after a few seconds, his eyes widened in awe as he continued to read on. Finally, he looked up at Bison who proudly crossed his arms with a smug grin.

"...Alright, I admit it." Ganondorf said. "I am more than a little jealous…"

"Thank you." Bison said before quickly taking the blueprints back. "Now you are free to not join me. My only condition is that you DON'T attempt to join us halfway through the plan when it looks like we are about to succeed."

Ganondorf paused for a moment. He then let out a deep sigh.

"Very well, Bison. I will give you another chance." He said before holding out a hand.

The red-clad man grinned before accepting the handshake. "Thank you. I promise that if we play our cards right, nothing could stop us.

BAM!

Bison and Ganondorf jumped before the door just crashed down and two familiar figures laid beaten on the ground. Vega and F.A.N.G.

"What the!?" Bison started.

"Forgive me, Master Bison…" F.A.N.G. said, weakly. "They found us…"

Bison's eyes bugged out at this.

"We tried to stop them because… They are worse than you described." Vega groaned.

Bison stepped back with a rare look of fear on his face. "No… No, it can't be…"

Ganondorf looked at Bison, confused. "W-What!? What is going on!?"

"The one consistent thing for me with the first two Battle of the Luminaries!" The dictator said, backing up against the wall.

Ganondorf's eyes widened. "Wait, you don't mean…?"

With that, he turned towards the doorway to see two figures entering.

"That's right…" Bison gulped. "THEM."

(The Arena)

"And that covers everything!" Ashley beamed.

"Well, almost everything." Drake said. "One more thing. You know how the third Megamix Tournament, the Okron Tournament and the Tournament of Kikai had their own gimmick.

Everyone paused at this.

"Well, this tournament will have its own gimmick! But I won't reveal it right now!" Drake said before smirking. "I WILL say though that the fighters must fight to prove themselves to YOU guys!"

Everyone in the audience and the Ready Room looked confused at this.

"Don't worry, it will make sense when the first section ends." Drake reassured. "Now… Are you ready to rock!?"

Everyone cheered wildly at this.

"Um, it seems my vampiric hearing is not what it used to be." Drake frowned, pointing to his ear. "I said… ARE YOU READY TO ROCK!?"

Everyone's cheers got loudly.

"Good. Now let's get this party underway!"

And thus the Battle of the Luminaries… Is Back.
