Deathtouched - Chapter 16
Nick slowly became semi-aware of himself as sunlight leaked around the edges of the curtains. He felt uncommonly warm even though the ceiling fan was going full blast. Cracking open one bleary eye, he could see Judy nestled into the crook of his right arm with her arm laying over his chest. Zoe was asleep while laying on top of him, her head on his chest.
Opening his other eye, he could see the chocolate colored fur of Gloria who was also nestled in the crook of his left arm, but was facing away and hugging his arm to her, his paw trapped between her thighs. Nick could see Candace's arm draped over Gloria. Lifting his head, he could see Abby spooning Judy.
Last night came flooding back to him and he lay his head back down, still wore out from his exertions. Yeah, five at one time was too much. If they were spaced out on the other hand, take it a bit slower... Maybe he could recommend them entertaining each other more which, he had to admit, was really hot. Multiple combinations sped through his mind. He could feel himself stirring, but it was still too soon. So, he just let his eyes close again and fell back to sleep.
Judy and Abby woke first and decided to let their lovers sleep. They knew from experience that their sisters wouldn't be getting out of bed today, except for going to the bathroom and even then they'd need help. Even they were walking a little funny this morning due to soreness. Poor Nick had exhausted himself for their sakes, even though he tried to get out of making love to Judy last night, begging to wait until this morning. But she'd been so turned on that she wanted her fox right then and there.
Abby fixed breakfast while Judy grabbed the aspirin and ran a bath for the others to soak poor, tired, and sore muscles. Zoe, Gloria, Candace, and Nick were treated to breakfast in bed. Judy apologized profusely for being so needy and ignoring Nicks wishes, that it wasn't something a potential wife should have done.
Nick waved the apology off, admitting that part of him was proud of being able to make love to 5 does in one night. He just didn't want to have to do it again, at least until he'd built up some more endurance. Candace and Gloria were effusive in their praise of Nick and talked between them to see if Gideon would be amicable to entering into a more intimate relationship.
This had Nick asking who Gideon was, Judy and Zoe took turns giving him the explanation, from where Zoe first met the ghost of Gideon's grandmother to Greg's trial and Marge's finally going through the veil. Nick looked at Zoe in a new light. He knew she was a kind, sweet, and loving bunny, but he now had a better idea how huge her heart really was.
Judy, with her determination was much the same. Even Abby, gentler and more reserved, had gone into nursing to be able to help mammals. These three does, drawn together by Fate, wanted him to be with them as their husband.
Nick helped Zoe, Candace, and Gloria to the table for lunch. Judy and Abby had to leave for work, but they'd left sandwiches in the refrigerator for them. As he sat down, he felt how tender he, himself, was. Candace and Gloria planned to spend the night again, not believing themselves ready to drive home just yet.
Zoe groaned, mentioning that she had classes tomorrow. Even with the looks of sympathy and suggestions to just skip the day, Zoe refused. Nick admitted that he had to leave in the morning to finish his last week of academy training. He then ran another bath for them all, the tub being big enough that they all fit. This pleased Nick since it meant that the tub would fit him and his future wives with not problem. As the thought entered his mind, he realized what his answer would be, but he'd wait until tonight to inform his doe's of his answer.
After their bath, they all climbed into bed together, still naked, and cuddled with Nick. Zoe melded herself against her fox's side, her paw tracing small circles on his chest and stomach fur. Candace was the one against his other side this time, Gloria tight against her. They were in the same position, asleep, when Abby and Judy came home from their shifts. Both doe's wrapped their arms around each others waist and pulled each other close, the sight on their bed filling them with joy.
Abby went to Good Eats to grab dinner for everyone, including a couple of chicken ranch sandwiches for Nick. The smells from the food woke the tired mammals from their rest and limped their way to the table. Zoe was still very sore and needed help. She hoped that she'd be in much better shape in the morning.
As they ate, Nick cleared his throat to get the other's attention. "I had originally planned to move in tonight, but since other things came up..."
"In more ways than one!" Candace interjected with a wide grin, causing the other doe's to snicker.
Nick gave her a small grin. Candace had been the most aggressive out of all the doe's, not that he was complaining.
"I'll have to do it next Friday after graduation."
Abby, Zoe, and Judy all complained about the delay, but they had to admit that he was right.
"But, on a more positive note, I officially accept Judy's proposal to be your husband."
Nick had to cover his ears from the sheer volume of the squeals his fiance's gave at the news. His eyes squeezed shut, he was totally unprepared to be tackled by the three and all of them falling to the floor, the chair clattering to the side. All three peppered his face, neck, shoulders, and chest with kisses. I could get used to this Nick thought.
All of the sisters reluctantly agreed that no sex could occur that night. Candace and Gloria had to leave to get back to the farm, Abby and Judy had work, Nick had academy training, and Zoe had classes in the morning and training with Aaron in the afternoon.
oooOOOooo
Zoe was more mobile the next morning, but she still moved slowly and with a slightly splayed gait.
"Oh my gods Zoe! Are you okay?" Came the voice of her friend, Linda.
The coyote had befriended Zoe from the first day that Zoe had started college. While Zoe was studying Criminology and Law Enforcement, Linda was studying Education, wanting to be a teacher.
"Just sore Linda."
"And why, pray tell, would be the reason you're walking so funny? Or could I guess?" Linda asked, grinning slightly.
She had a pretty good guess as to why her friend wasn't moving at her normal pace, but she wanted to hear it from Zoe. One of her classes touched on rabbits and how they tended to be more open about relationships and sex and how to watch out for said comments in the classroom.
"You know how I've been dating Nick? Well..." Zoe left off without implicitly stating that she and Nick had sex.
Linda gasped loudly, eyes opened wide, and her jaw dropped before she exclaimed "Oh my gods! Oh my GODS! You had sex with Nick?! How was it? No wonder you're walking funny! Did he knot you? I bet it had to hurt! You have to tell me everything!"
Zoe glanced around, hoping that no other mammals were close enough to overhear Linda's rather exuberant speech.
"Not now Linda, I have to get to class and if I don't hurry I'm going to be late."
"How about lunch? My treat!"
"Deal!"
oooOOOooo
The main lesson with Aaron that afternoon consisted of a meeting with Mayor Lionheart, who had been reinstated after his trial had cleared him of any involvement with the Night Howler incident. The same jury stated that the illegal incarceration of the mammals that had turned savage had been in both the public's best interest and safety. The fact that Dr. Badger took the stand to explain how Lionheart had pushed to get a cure for the afflicted mammals went a long way to clearing his name.
Zoe found the mayor to be extremely likable. When he found out that Zoe was married to Judy he was overjoyed, offering whatever assistance she would need in the future. After they left, Aaron remarked that the meeting couldn't have gone better, although Zoe admitted to him that she would have preferred the assistance came due to respect for the order and not who she was married to. Aaron made it a lesson when he stated that, sometimes, you had to play the game. That not every mammal was as religious as others, politicians especially.
oooOOOooo
Zoe arrived home later than normal, thanks to her slower than normal walk. While she was able to move better, she still wasn't up to her usual speed. She was glad that Aaron hadn't mentioned her walk, and Mayor Lionheart hadn't even noticed. She'd given Linda a full rundown of her and Nick's lovemaking. Linda then confessed that she wanted to know how it worked between them because she had her eye on a grey wolf named Brandon.
Zoe walked into her apartment and had the wonderful smell of Abby's spaghetti sauce and garlic bread hit her nostrils. She moaned, already salivating in anticipation. Zoe sat her backpack on the floor next to the couch, grumpy because she had a paper to work on for her Ethics class and all she wanted was food, a hot bath, and a warm bed cuddled up next to her wives. Her mood, already lightening due to the smell of Abby's cooking, was further heightened when Judy came over to give her a tight hug and a fierce kiss.
As they ate, they shared the stories of their day. Abby had an armadillo come in that had been very aggressive due to some drug he'd taken. It had taken 3 orderlies to hold him down to place the restraints on him. Judy's day had gone rather quietly. She'd had to write Flash another ticket for going 120 mph in a 35 mph zone. She'd also warned him that the next one could cost him his license due to the number of points he'd already lost. Zoe explained about telling Linda what had happened between her and Nick and why she was so interested in it. Each doe was happy that more and more interspecies relationships were occuring. She also informed them of the meeting with Mayor Lionheart.
Afterwards, they sat down with some bridal magazines that Judy had bought earlier in the day. After looking over several dress styles, they finally found one they all agreed on. The venue was still up in the air since Aaron wanted to come and the farm was too far away for him to travel. They made a list and decided to table the discussion until Nick moved in, Judy stating how knowledgeable his was about the city.
Judy and Abby had gone to bed a few hours before as Zoe worked on her Ethics paper. It took her longer than it should have because she kept getting distracted by the noises coming from the bedroom. Zoe wanted to join her wives so badly, but she had to work on her paper. When she finally finished, she took a quick shower and crawled into bed. She kissed Abby goodnight and got a pleased expression and a smile from her. Zoe tried for a quick, chaste, kiss for Judy as well, but Judy's paw snapped out and clutched Zoe by the back of her neck, pushing their lips together. Judy snaked her tongue into Zoe's muzzle, making Zoe moan. When Judy began gently stroking the fur on her thigh up and down, Zoe decided that she wasn't that sore.
oooOOOooo
Nick's graduation day came and all three of the wives were there in support of their fiance. Judy was due to give the graduation speech, so she was dressed in her uniform. Zoe had decided to wear her priestess garb, and Abby was wearing a pretty green dress. Zoe wished that they could sit with Nick, but all the graduates were together in one area across the aisle from them. Zoe snickered when she saw that Nick was wearing his trademark sunglasses and acting like nothing special was going on, playing it cool. Judy had told them that Nick was the Honor Graduate, having the highest scores in the class.
After several mammals approached the podium and gave their speeches, it was Judy's turn.
"When I was a kid, I thought that Zootopia was this perfect place where everyone got a long and anyone could be anything. Turns out, real life is a little bit more complicated than a slogan on a bumper sticker. Real life is messy. We all have limitations. We all make mistakes. Which means - hey, glass half full! - we all have a lot in common. And the more we try to understand one another, the more exceptional each of us will be. But we have to try. So no matter what type of person you are, from the biggest elephant to our first fox, I implore you: Try. Try to make the world a better place. Look inside yourself and recognize that change starts with you. It starts with me. It starts with all of us."
There was thunderous applause from that speech and the graduating class threw their caps in the air. Zoe couln't have been more proud of both Judy and Nick. Zoe caused quite a stir when she walked up to Nick, who was talking to a bobcat, and said, "Excuse me." She grabbed his tie and pulled his head down, giving him a full, open muzzle, kiss in front of everyone.
After the ceremony, they all went to the 10-7 Club for the after party. Zoe changed out of her priestess garb into more appropriate clothing for a party. She decided on a pair of blue jean shorts that, in her old reality, would be called 'daisy dukes' and a forest green t-shirt that had three female and one male symbol attached to each other in a circle in white.
The party wasn't wild, given that it was a hang out for off duty cops. Nick introduced her to Evan, the bobcat whose conversation she'd interrupted.
"Evan, this is my fiancé, Zoe. Zoe, this is my friend Evan."
"I'm pleased to meet you Priestess." Evan said, shaking her hand. He then turned to Nick and said "I thought that Judy was your fiancé. I was thinking you were cheating on her with that kiss earlier."
"Oh no Evan," Zoe said. "Judy's my wife. We're both married to Abby, that white furred doe over there talking to the brown bear. And any friend of Nick's can call me Zoe."
Looking back at Zoe, Evan grinned.
"Then it's a true pleasure Zoe. So, Nick? You're marrying three does? Think you can handle it?"
Zoe barked a short laugh. "He was able to handle five of us last week."
Evan looked shocked, looking at Nick, who now wore a smug expression, and mouthed 'five?!'
"In one night." Zoe added.
Evan looked highly impressed. Nick himself looked inordinately pleased with himself. Zoe was just happy that she was able to cause Nick's stock with his friend to increase. Now, as long as his ego didn't stay that inflated, she wouldn't have to deflate it.
oooOOOooo
Nick moved in that night. Not that he had much. Everything he had fit into two suitcases. The wives resolved to correct that in the next week by taking him shopping. As much as Nick and his fiancé's wanted to be intimate again, Nick had consumed too much alcohol and had to be poured into bed. His reactions the next morning were understandable, if not funny.
They decided that all at one time should be reserved for weekends where they could all enjoy the time together without worrying about work or school. Judy slept with him that night while Abby and Zoe assisted like they had Zoe's first time. The next night was Abby's turn.
oooOOOooo
Zoe finished her last class of the day. Her ethics professor had sang her praises on her paper, comparing it to Judy's, so she was feeling pretty good about herself. She had just climbed into her car when her phone rang. Looking at the caller ID, it was Judy.
"Hey Love!"
"Where are you right now?" Judy asked, her voice very serious and clipped.
"I just got in my car about ready to head home, why?"
"Can you come to 1242 Willoughby Drive? Just tell the officers your name."
"What's going on Judy?" Zoe asked, worried now.
"I'll explain when you get here." Judy hung up before Zoe could ask anymore questions.
Zoe drove to the address Judy gave her to find herself in a nice, middle class neighborhood and could see police cruisers down the street, lights flashing. She parked in the first available space and walked to where a crowd had gathered in front of the yellow police line tape. Zoe approached where one of the officers, a tiger, was standing.
"Hello. My name is Zoe Hopps. My wife called and said to come her."
The lion looked at her with interest. He'd heard of her from both Judy and Nick. But even being forewarned, her eyes still sent chills down his back. Not that he'd ever admit to it.
"Yes Priestess. Officer Hopps and Chief Bogo said you could go in."
"Thank you Officer Fangmeyer." Zoe said appreciatively, reading his name off of his name tag.
She didn't need to have him raise the tape since it was high enough for her to just duck under it, but Fangmeyer did it anyway. She smiled her thanks and saw him smile back at her. There were several more cops on the lawn, but Zoe didn't see Judy, so she just walked in through the open front door. Inside she saw and heard several more mammals and followed the sounds to the bedroom where she saw Judy, Nick, Chief Bogo, and a couple of wolves in white coveralls taking various samples.
There was a huge blood stain on the blanket atop the bed, with small bits of viscera, as well as splatters over the walls and even on the ceiling. Standing at the head of the bed on the opposite side of her was the spirit of a young billy goat, staring at the blood stain with a horrified expression on his face.
"Zoe!" Judy uttered.
"Thank the gods you're here! We need your help."
"Priestess." Bogo's deep voice broke in. "I've reviewed the files detailing the aid you gave Officer's Hornsby and Baaker in Bunnyburrow. I want to see if you can help us with this case."
"I'll be glad to help in any way I can Chief. First, I could talk to him." Zoe said, pointing where the spirt stood, his eyes still locked onto the bed. The other mammals turned but couldn't see what she was pointing at.
Bogo nodded and began giving her the details of what they knew so far.
"At approximately 1300 hours a cougar by the name of Alice came to visit and noticed the front door had been left ajar. According to the initial officer reports, she entered, calling out the tenet's name, one Zeke Danvers, billy goat. When she saw the bedroom, she ran outside and dialed 811. We have the crime scene, but we haven't located the body yet."
Zoe nodded and, avoiding the crime techs, approached the spirit.
"Be at ease spirit, my name is Zoe and I'm a Priestess of Melinoe. Are you the spirit of Zeke Danvers?"
The spirit turned to look at Zoe, his eyes leaving the blood stain almost reluctantly. A few seconds after seeing her, he nodded.
"What happened here Zeke? How did you die?"
The spirit opened and closed his muzzle several times as if he were trying to talk, but was unable to. Zoe reached out her hand and laid it on Zeke's shoulder. She wasn't actually able to touch him physically, but she expanded her aura and let a little of her goddesses power flow into him.
Cl... claws. T... teeth
"He says it was a mammal with claws. Zeke, what kind of mammal was it?"
L...li...lion
"It was a lion."
"Does he know where his body is? If we can find it, we can find clues." Chief Bogo asked.
"Zeke, where's your body? If we have it we can find out who killed you and get you justice."
Zeke's muzzle worked a few time before he started crying and said He ate me.
Zoe gasped and cried out "Oh GODS!" as she felt her gorge rise and placed a paw over her muzzle to try and keep from vomiting all over the crime scene.
"What? What is it?" Chief Bogo asked, concerned.
Zoe held up her paw that wasn't in the process of trying to control her nausea in a 'wait' gesture. It took a minute, but she was able to control her stomach. With an expression that matched Zeke's, she told Bogo "He... he said... the lion... ate him."
"Sweet cheese and crackers!" Judy whispered in reaction. With that statement, everyone in earshot took on the same expression that Zoe and Zeke had. One, a rookie hyena, rushed into the bathroom where they could hear him noisily emptying the contents of his stomach.
"Was there any distinguishing marks or coloration?" Bogo asked in a hollow whisper.
"Zeke." Zoe swallowed, trying to get her voice back. "Zeke, did the lion have any unusual marking or coloration?"
B... black mane. Green eyes. So wild, green eyes.
"Black mane and green eyes. He said the eyes were 'wild'. Chief, this spirit is in shock and, as a Priestess of Melinoe, it's my remit to send this spirit through the veil."
Bogo just nodded. This case had taken a rather macabre turn.
Zoe straightened, cloaking herself in the essence of her goddess and spoke to Zeke.
"Zeke Danvers, in the name of Melinoe, the goddess I serve, I bless you and bid you to enter the veil and go to your well deserved rest. We will find justice for you. Be at peace."
Zoe felt her goddess's power flow over Zeke and his face reflected joy instead of horror. He looked Zoe in the eye and smiled as he faded away. Zoe's ears and shoulders drooped and she found her body shaking slightly in reaction to the environment.
"Are you okay Z?" Judy asked, her face still a little green. Nick wasn't much better, his eyes shifting around the room.
"Not really. I'm sorry about my reaction, it's just the extreme nature of it. I can't believe it, in this day and age, in Zootopia."
"Yeah, I know. You need a ride home or do you think you're in good enough shape to drive?"
"I'll drive. I'll see you at home Love."
As Zoe left, she was accosted by reporters wanting to know what was going on. They quickly left her alone as she resorted to the simple expedient of glaring at them. She had to sit for a few minutes behind the wheel before she felt ready enough to drive home. While she waited, she prayed to Melinoe for Zeke's spirit to be at peace until it could take it's place on the Great Wheel.
Zoe understood that, as a cop, she would witness the horrifying things that one mammal could do to another. But one mammal eating another... that was a throwback to the savage days before Zootopia was founded. Zoe felt her resolve harden and swore to become the best cop she could be to help protect the people of Zootopia.
oooOOOooo
Abby arrived home to find Zoe nose deep into her school books. But where her ears would normally be erect when studying the interesting, to her and, possibly Judy, material, Zoe's ears were flat against her shoulders and hanging over the back of the chair. Something was wrong.
"Zoe? You okay love?" Abby asked in a worried tone.
She loved her wife with everything she had and to see Zoe like this was almost physically painful. Zoe didn't answer so she asked again, with the same results. It wasn't until Abby touched Zoe's shoulder that she got a response, just not the one she was expecting. Zoe reflexively jerked out of her chair away from Abby, falling to the floor, while squealing in panic, her heart suddenly racing. Abby gave out a small squeal of her own and taking a step back.
"I'm sorry Z, I didn't mean to scare you!" Abby said, her own paw over her chest as her heart started slowing down.
Zoe lay on the floor catching her breath and waiting for her own heart rate to slow down to normal.
"No Love, I'm sorry. It was my fault, I wasn't paying attention and didn't hear you come in." Zoe said apologetically.
"It's okay. What's wrong? You're not normally like this."
"Judy called me in on a case and it's really bothering me."
"What happened?"
"They couldn't find the body of a young billy goat, but there was blood everywhere. I talked to the spirit and found out that he'd been eaten."
Abby gasped and covered her muzzle with both paws, her ears going back and a frightened look appearing on her face.
"Oh gods! That must have been horrible to see!"
Zoe got back to her feet, her ears still droopy, and nodded. Knowing her wife was feeling a bit distressed, Abby threw her arms around Zoe and hugged her tightly. Zoe wrapped her arms around Abby's waist and nuzzled into her neck, inhaling her scent. Zoe felt immensely better with Abby close to her.
"Would you like to go to bed and cuddle?" Abby asked her quietly.
"I would love to go to bed with you and cuddle Beautiful." Zoe said with a sigh.
Abby pulled Zoe into the bedroom, leaving the door open, and both of them stripped before climbing into bed and holding each other close.
Nick and Judy came home later than normal having had to canvas the area for any witnesses. They had been understandably quiet during the rest of their shift, both still processing what Zoe had found out from questioning the spirit. Nick, especially, seemed worried, his being a carnivore after all. It made him wonder if he could turn savage because, when Zoe had him bite her, he had enjoyed it. Including the taste of her blood.
They took off their duty belts and placed them on the small table against the wall. Nick turned to Judy and, in a soft, fretful, voice asked her. "Judy, do you think that it's possible I could turn savage? I mean, when Zoe had me bite her I had been wanting to do it. I liked it, as well as when I tasted her blood. My teeth locked on her as I came and I couldn't open my jaws until after I recovered. I wanted to do it to you and Abby when we made love, I just fought myself not to."
Judy didn't get a chance to answer, both mammals heard Zoe's voice from the doorway to the bedroom. They both turned as she began to speak.
"Nick, my Love." She said as she walked up to him, Abby exiting the bedroom as well. "You could never do something like that. Both Judy and Abby had to tell you to bite me as well before you did it."
Zoe reached up and placed her paw against the side of Nick's muzzle before continuing.
"Nick, you are the most compassionate and loving mammal I've ever met. We love you. You weren't the only one that enjoyed you bitting me. That sensation of your teeth breaking my skin? It sent me over the edge and I had the strongest orgasm of my life. The fact that you liked the taste of my blood actually makes me happy. And, in the future, I'm going to want you to bite me again. I'm pretty sure that Judy and Abby would like you to do the same to them."
"Oh, most definitely! That was so hot!" Judy confirmed as she nodded.
"Me too!" Abby agreed.
"Besides Nick," Judy said as she wrapped her arm around her fiancé, "we got through the Night Howler case, we'll get through this one."
"Besides, what Zeke said about 'wild eyes' makes me think that the lion was crazy." Zoe stated.
"Or on drugs." Abby added.
Nick felt much relieved, but he would still worry, even if it was just a little bit. None of them felt much like cooking, so they ordered out. It was a slightly strained dinner, all of them except for Abby affected by what they'd heard and saw. But even Abby was affected since she was worried about her loved ones and did her best to take care of them.
They all bathed together, sitting as close together as possible, Zoe actually sitting cuddled in Nick's lap, her head laying on his chest. They each exchanged soft, reassuring, touches and caresses interspersed with random kisses. Drying off was the same. By unspoken agreement, they went to bed and cuddled close together.
oooOOOooo
The next day, the story was all over the news, including a photo of Zoe as she left the house. Speculation as to what had happened ran rampant through the city and Mayor Lionheart had to make a public speech urging calm. Zoe skipped classes to be able to go and talk to Aaron about what happened and what she had done.
"He had to have been crazy Aaron! Well, crazy or on drugs! I can't think of any other reason why that lion would have done such a thing."
Aaron's brow was furled as he answered. "I'm sorry that you had to go through that so soon daughter. I remember something similar happening to me. I encountered a spirit that had been burned alive by one of his enemies. I could tell from the impression of heat and pain I was getting from him. I knew the feeling having burned myself several times as a young wolf before learning to deal with my blindness."
"But," he continued, "you did the proper thing and the billy goat is now at peace. I'm very proud of you."
Zoe's mood improved when he called her 'daughter'. He first called her that after their second training session after she had impulsively hugged him, him being like a father to her in many ways. Telling her how proud he was of her was just icing on the cake. Aaron opened his arms and Zoe crawled into his lap where Aaron held her and told her some lighthearted stories of spirit's he'd met, some of which made her laugh. The day passed in that manner and Zoe was feeling almost normal as she kissed the elderly wolf on his cheek, telling him she loved him and calling him 'father'. He smiled and kissed her on the cheek in farewell.
oooOOOooo
Zoe had gotten home early from college, her last class cancelled for the day. She decided to cook supper and decided on stuffed mushrooms with a side of baked asparagus with feta cheese for her wives and her, and a chicken marsala dish for Nick. Nick was greatly pleased when he found out that they not only tolerated him eating meat in front of them, but were willing to learn how to cook it for him as well. He was amazed all over again at his tremendous luck to have three such wonderful ladies wanting him to be their husband.
The discussion around the table during dinner that night revolved around their upcoming wedding, the venue, and of particular interest to them all, where to have the honeymoon. They reached a consensus with The Courtyard, an all inclusive wedding, reception, and honeymoon spot. It was located near Wooly Rocks in the northern section of The Meadowlands and included swimming and water skiing, trail hiking, tennis courts, a golf course, as well as deep sea fishing excursions. They had a jacuzzi in the suite, and the in house restaurant was rated at four and a half stars.
The wives had decided to alternate days being with Nick, with a day between for him to recover. Tonight was Abby's night, both Judy and Zoe helping her as they had helped Zoe. At their urging, Nick bit Abby and Zoe gaped at how hot it looked when he did, ready to have him bite her again. Abby cried out her orgasm, later swearing that Zoe had the truth of it, as she'd had the most intense orgasm ever.
Abby and Nick watched as they lay there, still connected until Nick's knot shrank down far enough for him to pull out, as Judy and Zoe made love to each other. It took almost an extra 15 minutes for Nick to ease himself out of Abby. The lovers slept soundly that night, each of them filled with the warmth of being near their loved ones.
oooOOOooo
(I would like to dedicate the following to Guardian Sage. This is the suggestion he tendered that I decided to run with, and what made me imagine the earlier scene with Nick.)
Zoe was dreaming of a beautiful house on the top of a hill in the Meadowlands. It was a new construction, but the design had an old fashioned look to it. She was there with her wives and Nick on the front veranda with children playing in the fenced yard. Every child was a rabbit, but most had at least a reddish tint to their fur.
Zoe was heavily pregnant and it was difficult to move around. In her dream, she knew that Judy was pregnant as well, she just hadn't started showing yet. She heard another voice from inside, "Hey Love? Where'd you put the marina sauce? I can't make the spaghetti without it."
The voice was male and very deep, much like Finnick's. Zoe turned to the sound of the voice to see a very handsome coyote with silver grey fur and the bluest eyes. Those eyes were looking at her filled with love. Smiling, the coyote leaned down and kissed her, his paw rubbing her swollen abdomen.
"Our cubs are asleep, so please don't wake them, they like to kick." She told her husband.
Zoe woke when a wave of nausea swept through her. With another, stronger, wave following immediately after the previous one. She jumped up and ran into the bathroom where she barely made it to the toilet before violently emptying her stomach. As if that were a signal, she saw a white blur enter the bathroom, start to head for the toilet where she was, and then turn and empty her stomach into the bathtub with a loud 'Bleurgh!'
The sound, combined with the smell of her previous expulsion, caused Zoe to throw up again, making the same sound as Abby. Zoe realized Judy had joined the regurgitation club when she heard Judy echoing her and Abby, throwing up into the bathtub as well. Judy must have come in during her latest bout of vomiting. Spitting out the foul taste, Zoe flushed the toilet as Nick stumbled in, bleary eyed and looking concerned.
"Ladies? What's wrong?" He asked as he tried to hold back three sets of ears to keep them from getting any vomit on them. He didn't succeed. He wasn't sick, so he wondered if there was any meat in any of the dishes last night they were unaware of.
"Ugh. Sick." Abby answered, both Judy and Zoe picking that time to throw up again.
Zoe flushed the toilet and sagged, her body shaking in reaction, on to the floor next to it. The cool tiles seemed to help as her nausea began to subside. Judy and Abby soon followed, their bodies shaking as well. Nick came to the rescue by turning on the ventilator fan and cleaned their muzzles from any remaining vomitus. Then he got them each a bottle of water so they could clean their muzzles out, followed by rinsing out the tub as they lay there on the floor.
Soon the bathroom started smelling much better, especially when Nick used cleanser to clean the tub and then ran them a hot bubble bath. The doe's were thankful that they were going to have such a kind and considerate husband. He helped them to their feet one at a time, handing them a toothbrush with toothpaste already on it. He turned the water off and then placed them in the tub, bathing them to ensure no remainder of their encounters with the toilet and bathtub remained. They were very effusive in their thanks to Nick and let him know how much they loved and appreciated him.
"I don't get it. I ate some of those delicious mushrooms last night, how come I'm not sick?" He asked his ladies. "Maybe it was the asparagus and feta cheese?"
Abby and Judy mumbled that they had no idea, but Zoe's eyes widened and her jaw dropped, a shocked expression on her face as she suddenly knew.
"Oh goddess." She whispered.
"What?" Judy questioned.
"Baby?" Asked Abby.
"What's going on?" Nick chimed in.
Zoe turned to Nick and asked, "Baby, can you bring me my phone?"
When Nick handed her phone to her, Zoe texted Candace, not wanting to say anything until she was sure.
Hey, can you guys come here ASAP?
It was a few minutes before Candace responded.
Not a good idea Z. Gloria and I think we have the flu. Just finished hugging the toilet.
I don't think it's the flu Love.
! We'll be there in a few hours. You better have an explanation!
Zoe gave her phone back to Nick and lay her head back against the rim of the tub.
"What's going on Zoe?" Judy asked insistently.
"Candace and Gloria are on their way. I'll explain then."
Judy was a cop and trained to be observant and make deductions. Abby was a nurse. So both of them came to the same conclusion at the same time.
"No!" They echoed each other, shocked at the possibility.
"Yes." Zoe answered simply.
"Will someone please explain to me what's going on?" Nick asked in exasperation.
"Remember the night when we first made love?" Zoe asked him in return.
"Yeah?"
"And remember how we shared you with Candace and Gloria?"
"Yeah."
"Well, they woke up this morning throwing up too."
Nick didn't have as an analytical mind that Judy had, being more of a mammal person, but he'd been trained the same as Judy. The wives watched as he stiffened, looking at each of them, before his eyes rolled back in his head and he did a passable imitation of their father and fainted. The three doe's sighed as they got out of the tub and helped their fiancé into bed.
They kept trying to get an explanation from Zoe as to how it was possible for all of them to be pregnant, all at the same time. She explained that she only knew and that it wouldn't hurt to get some pregnancy tests. Zoe told them that she wanted to wait until Candace and Gloria arrived so that she didn't have to repeat herself.
Judy ran down to the corner DWT and bought ten pregnancy tests, two for each of them. All six of their tests came back with a red '+' sign, indicating that they were, in all likelihood, pregnant. A hospital trip would remove all doubt and they set up appointments for next Thursday.
When Candace and Gloria arrived, Candace was unhappy to say the least.
"Explain!" Candace demanded, pointing at Zoe. Zoe had them all sit at the table while she stood facing them.
"This is on me ladies, Nick. When I received the nudge letting me know that Nick was going to be our husband, the only concern I had was about having children. In a conversation with Marge, she raised the idea of Gideon dating a doe."
"Which we are." Gloria chipped in, Candace nodding.
Zoe grinned at that little tidbit, but then continued her explanation.
"However, Darla raised the question of having kits. All of our research we conducted showed that it could happen, but rarely. And only between similar species such as canine with canine, or feline with feline. No record of a predator/prey child being born existed that we could find."
"So how did we all get pregnant? At the same time!" Candace asked forcibly.
"Like I said, this is on me. When Nick and I made love for the first time, I had him bite me. While I was riding the blissful result, I had a vision that I didn't remember until just a little while ago. I saw my goddess smiling at me, and I heard Aaron's voice say something from a conversation we had dealing with me being an Entry. He said "Sometimes, the gods require a sacrifice."
"So what's that got to do with us being pregnant?" Abby asked.
Zoe sighed. "Guys, my goddess isn't just the Goddess of Ghosts, She's lesser known as the Goddess of Fertility. I'm sure that she felt my desire for children of my own and... well..."
The other's looked at her like they couldn't believe it.
"So when Nick bit you..." Gloria implied.
"I sacrificed my blood and Melinoe helped us to get pregnant." Zoe admitted.
Zoe had readily come to terms with being pregnant. It would make college a little difficult but she happily accepted being a mother and thanked Melinoe for her blessing.
Judy didn't mind it, happy that she was carrying Nick's kits as opposed to some random bucks. She just wasn't looking forward to desk duty that would result.
Abby couldn't be happier. She had wives that loved each other and a soon-to-be husband that loved them as well. Children had been a dream she'd given up on after the two bucks ghosted her before she met Zoe.
Gloria was happy as well. Having another child was beyond any expectations she'd had since her husband had left her because of Abby. Then she married Candace and was happy again, but had wondered about having more kits and was hesitant about approaching Candace about adopting.
Nick was stunned. He'd never thought about being a father, always being careful to use protection when he was with a vixen. He had believed that being with rabbit's wouldn't be an issue. A belief that his fiancé's had clearly shared. Now he was going to be the father of five kits. A slight smile graced his muzzle as he thought about being a father.
Candace was just a bit unhappy. She'd lived her life indulging her libido and had always considered having kits a detriment to that life. But, she'd never considered being married either until she met Gloria. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad since they'd have the entire family to help out. And she hadn't missed the longing looks that Gloria would give the kits when I was her turn in the nursery.
"Well," Nick said, sitting back into his chair with a sigh, "I guess being the father of five kits won't be so bad. We'll probably need to hire a live-in nanny though to help out given our jobs and the hours we work."
He caught the incredulous looks the were giving him. "What?"
"Um, Nick. Rabbits usually have between two to four kits per pregnancy." Judy informed him.
Nick did the math. That would make it ten to twenty kits. For the second time that day, Nick's eyes rolled back in his head and he fainted, sliding bonelessly to the floor.
A/N: Again, thanks to Guardian Sage for the idea. I just decided to get them all pregnant at the same time. And yes, it will complicate their lives.
That Melinoe is the Goddess of Fertility is true. At least, according to my sources.
I had originally intended Nick's biting Zoe to just be something kinky, but it seemed to work it's way into the pregnancy thing so...
The part about Mayor Lionheart being re-instated and Judy's speech are canon.
Zoe will become more involved with the Mammal-eater Murders in the following chapters. This is sort of her getting her feet wet dealing with homicides. Well, given the rather macabre nature of the crime, cannibalism, you could say she's actually been thrown into the deep end.
My muse has been all over the place lately. This story, my Glee fanfic, my Young Justice fanfic, my next Zootopia fanfic which ties in with The Unplanned Detour, all coupled with my desire to start outlining my Harry Potter fanfic. So far, Glee seems to be the frontrunner.
Til next time,
