FAZBEAR'S FRIGHTS
11:55 AM

Heavy breathing filled Freddy's Fortress, the resident mirror maze of Fazbear's Fright. Evan had been searching for Dreadbonnie for a while, but there was no evidence of his whereabouts, and the mirrors were starting to make him feel dizzy.

"Um... Bonnie? T-this... This isn't funny! I get you're meant to be a horror attraction and all but this is a little bit overboard, don't you think?"

...

Nothing responded except for the loud arcade machines that sat beside him.

Evan was really starting to worry, what if he couldn't find him in time? He would get fired for sure, and it took everything he had to get a job at the Pizzaplex.

He couldn't let that happen, he had to find him.

"You got this, Evan. He's a giant metal bunny with a voice like thunder. There's no way he's already figured out how to hide well. There's no way-"

CLINK CLANG

Evan froze solid as a copper pipe fell from one of the overhead tubes, rattling at his heels. He only moved after the pipe hit his feet, causing him to slide himself a good 12 inches away from it.

"Okay. Random falling objects. Thats suppose to happen, totally supposed to happen."

Reassuring himself seemed to do him no favours, the mirrors themselves looked like they were playing tricks on him, and he could have sworn he had seen shadows in the distance watching him.

Despite that, however, Evan pressed on. After all, he really had no choice.

"D-Dreadbonnie! Is that you over there?" He called into the darkness, with nothing answering except the swirling fog around his flashlight.

"D-D-Damn it, I h-hate this Horror stuff. It always makes me feel like I'm going insane with the swirling colours and strange-"

BANG

"-noises. Okay, I'm serious Dreadbonnie if that's you I'm gonna lose it!" Evan began to back up towards the way he came, he could make out two dim lights near the floor but nothing else.

But, then he could hear the rolling of wheels, a smallish robot then emerged from the fog, sporting some soft gloves and a yellow teethed grin.

"O-Oh! You must be the caretaker of this place."

The robot twisted its head and stared at Evan, while he was happy to see another face besides his own he couldn't shake the unnerving aura the robot was emitting.

"Hello, I am HAPPS. Are you lost?"

Evan knelt down and got down at the machine's level, to make things a little less awkward. The security badge on his side dangled like a key chain, it was only a few inches lower from getting trapped in the wheels.

"Uhhh, no? Kinda? I'm looking for a big greenish rabbit with stitch marks all over. Have you seen that anywhere?"

HAPPS simply cocked his head its head to the side again before pointing at Evan.

"What? No, no, no! I meant I was looking for a big giant rabbit. Not that I was one!"

The robot shook his head and once again the robot pointed at him. Evan sighed in confusion before looking at his body where HAPPS had pointed, trying desperately to find what HAPPS could have been drawing attention to.

"What are you pointing at?! Is there something wrong with my uniform or something?" Evan yelled, frustrated with the bot's lack of speech.

HAPPS lowered its head and proceeded to roll away, seemingly giving up on trying to help the lost guard. However, before he left he made one last point towards his direction.

Evan stood up, scratched his head and turned around with his eyes closed.

"What a strange bot... How am I gonna find Dreadbonnie now-"

"Hey." A gruff voice said abruptly.

"AAAAAAAAAGH! Getawaygetawaygetaway!"

"Pffft, calm down mechanic! It's me-"

Evan scrambled to the floor in terror before shining his flashlight in the face of the voice.

"Gah! Son of a... Turn off the light will ya? It's bright enough in here!"

Upon hearing that voice, Evan immediately recognised who it was. Flicking the light off, Dreadbonnie stood over him, holding his hand in front of his face to block the light.

"Wha- Bonnie! Why did you wander off? And why are you in the Mirror Maze?!"

"I got bored, went off on my way and sat down for a few seconds, looked at some posters and other stuff because it was pretty interesting and before I knew it you and your boss were already hunting me down before I had any chance to explore."

"W-Well you can't just walk off, Dreadbonnie! I was gonna get fired because you decided to go on an adventure!"

"I mean... it's not like I just vanished into thin air, You two were perfectly capable of seeing me walk away."

"Ugh... wait so you were in here the entire time?"

Dreadbonnie sighed and shook his head, obviously annoyed by the notion of telling a story, but Evan's determined stare was too powerful to deny.

"Well... not really. I was just kinda following you for a while and throwing things to spook you, I don't really know why but it was kinda fun."

"Oh, then your Showtime mode must have activated automatically when you heard me walking around, Dang it..."

"Your reaction was worth it though, even if it ended with you shining a giant flashlight in my face." Dreadbonnie lowered his eyelids at the human, pointing towards the flashlight he had in hand.

"Oh, whatever. Let's just get you to Mr Cross before he fires me."

Evan was done questioning him by that point, it wasn't his job to yell at him anyways.

"Alright, but can we pick up one of those magazines on the way there? There was a pretty cool-looking cat on one of the covers holding a microphone."

Okay, that was something he was going to question.

"Cat?... What magazine were you reading?!"

"It's one of those Faz Life magazines, I got bored of stalking ya, so I just read it in here until you found me."

"Well, you have that experimental automatic scanner built into your system. That should've scanned that 'Cat's' face immediately."

"Probably only works on humans, not a huge problem. It just looked kinda cool, with the weird lightning bolt on the chest and fangs."

The realisation of what or rather who Bonnie was talking about hit Evan like a truck, making him feel stupid for not realising sooner. The Faz-life mention should have been a dead giveaway. Evan looked at Dreadbonnie to see if he was joking, but he just stared back awkwardly, giving the mechanic the confirmation he needed.

Lesley was gonna get a huge laugh out of this, so much so that both Evan and Freddy might

"...Are you talking about Freddy? Because he's a bear."

"THAT'S WHAT BEARS LOOK LIKE?"

A few minutes later...

"Do we really have to do this?... We just performed a show and I haven't even had a chance to recharge yet!"

"Ya know don't like going against the boss's wishes but I've got to agree with Rox on this one, Freddy. I'm exhausted..." Monty walked sluggishly beside him, bass slung over his shoulder.

"I know, I know, but Mr Cross told us he had something really important to show us! If it was important enough for him to want to see us before a show starts, then the surprise must be a priority."

"Oh right, I forgot about the surprise!" Chica responded, despite being just as tired as the others, the proposition of a surprise managed to restore the pep in her step. "What do you guys think it'll be? A new Pizza parlour? A new Bowling Alley? Or maybe a- OOF!"

Chica had just slammed head-first into a stack of crates, Freddy ran to her aid, while Roxy observed the stack before them.

"Owww..."

"Chica? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I think so. But who put these boxes here?"

"Cross might've put 'em here to help wit' the renovations. Speaking of which..."

Monty drew attention to the mass of construction workers and staff bots alike, all pooling around what was once Bonnie Bowl. Most of them were carrying normal construction tools, Hammers, Wrenches and other useful implements. But there was a couple that didn't make sense, such as Fog machines, huge funhouse mirrors, and hanging star ornaments.

"Jeez, they're really overhauling that place, aren't they? I mean, didn't the Bowling Alley have enough stuff to do already?"

"He did say major renovations when he first told us about it, but I did not think it would be on this scale..."

Freddy looked down and sighed, Bonnie Bowl was one of the only remaining pieces of evidence that Bonnie existed before his disappearance. But by the looks of things, the entire attraction was being remodelled.

"... Let's not dawdle any further."

Freddy walked forward, the others following suit. Roxy stared awkwardly at the stack of boxes from before, but shook her head and walked with the animatronics.

While most of the construction staff stopped to look at the group of animatronics pooling into the elevator, the robots paid no mind and pressed the button, closing the doors.

"F-Freddy?" Chica asked, her voice having begun to stutter.

"Is your battery truly that low? Hmm... when the ride ends, there should be a charging station nearby. I will explain the situation to Cross while you're gone."

"T-Thanks Freddy..."

"Now that I think about it, How is everyone else on power?"

"I can last a little bit longer, don't worry." Monty assured Freddy with a big grin on his face.

"Same here, plus there's something I wanna figure out before I charge anyway."

"And what's that gonna be, Rox? How to do yer nails better or whether or not you should take more than a full hour to prep for a show?" Monty laughed out loud until he realised Roxanne had been glaring at him before opening her mouth.

"One, my nails are already perfect. Two, it was not a full hour. Plus, who's the one who got Cross to yell at us?"

"Alright, Alright sheesh. I surrender!" He threw his hands in the air, laughing a small bit.

"I-I-I'm just happy you guys aren't at each other's throats anymore." Chica explained, her stuttering voice becoming much more apparent.

"Eh, guess performing a show for all the kiddies lifted my mood a bit."

Finally, the Elevator music stopped and as soon as the doors opened, Chica rushed out as fast as she could to the charging station.
"I'll be right back!" She called out, disappearing into the fog.

Freddy nodded before fixing his bowtie. He motioned for the group to follow him as they exited. When they finally walked through the corridor, they were baffled by what they saw. So much stuff had changed that he didn't even know where to go.

"Ah! Freddy, Montgomery, and Roxanne. I'm glad you could make it."

Mr Cross approached with a smile but frowned upon looking at the group.

"Where is Chica?"

"She is going to charge. After today's show, a lot of kids swarmed us."

"...Does she already know her way around then? I don't know if you have noticed, Fazbear, but this place isn't the same." Cross asked, making Freddy look down in realisation, Cross was right. If the rest of the attraction was as different as the entrance, then Chica would inevitably get lost.

"P-Perhaps that wasn't the best idea..."

"Ehhh, she'll be fiiiine!" Monty slurred whilst placing his hand on Freddy's shoulder.

Somehow... Freddy doubted that.

Elsewhere...

"Uhhh... H-Hello?"

Chica's voice remained unanswered, being bounced off the walls ever so slightly. She didn't know how long it had been since she ran off to find a recharge station, but she did know that she was lost and running out of time.

Whatever this attraction was, it was way bigger than the original Bonnie Bowl. Everywhere she looked, there was more to explore, new places to walk through. However, the wonder was constantly being undermined by the 'low power' sign that flashed red in the corner of her vision.

"S-Shoot...C'mon it has to be around here somewhere- Aha!"

Chica ran as fast as she could to the charging station, her metallic footsteps ringing out through the room. The power percentage dropped lower and lower the faster she ran, but in the end, she managed to make it, practically shoving the door open.

Except, instead of a warm feeling of power rushing through her body, she was met with cold dead silence.

Chica stood there confused, Why wasn't the Charging Station online?

"G-G-Great. The one c-c-c-charging station I find and it isn't even o-on! This definitely c-c-complicates things... Maybe I should head back?"

"Um, hey uh... " A deep rumbling voice said behind her, heavy footsteps following suit.
"GAH!"

Chica turned around, seeing pairs of multicoloured eyes staring back at her. One a dull Green, another a vibrant blue.

eyes staring back at her. She immediately flinched, causing her to stumble back in surprise. However, before she could fall, something grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to her feet.

"W-Wha-What the?"

Chica looked up, seeing the towering figure in front of her with two very distinct bunny ears. Her eyes froze and her mouth was left slightly open.

"B-B-B..."

"Are you okay? If you're wondering, none of the charging stations are online yet. I think it's to do with the attraction not being open or whatever."

"B-Bonnie?" She finally asked, unsure of what to say. Bonnie raised an eyebrow in surprise before leaning forward, backing Chica into the charging station.

"How the hell do you know my name? I thought this place was closed."

"B-B-Bonnie, It's M-Me! Chica!"

Chica took another look at the bunny in front of her, and the more she paid attention, the less it looked like Bonnie. The pale yellow shell, the stitches...

"Dreadbonnie?! What the hell are you doing?" A human voice yelled from behind the now-named Dreadbonnie. Dreadbonnie flinched upon hearing the voice before turning around slowly, seeing a frustrated Evan with his clipboard in hand.

"Wait, is that Chica? I thought you were in the middle of a show."

"T-T-The show finished a little while ago, Mr C-Cross told the entire group to come here after the s-s-show and..."

Chica fell to her knees, unable to stand. Dreadbonnie looked at her in confusion, while Evan grew more concerned as time went on.

"Shoot! She's running out of charge, Bonnie get her in that Charging Station."

"Oh, so that's what happened to her... Huh." Dreadbonnie picked Chica up and laid her down in the charging station, making sure to sit her down in a somewhat comfortable position before leaving. Meanwhile, Evan was hard at work by the back of the station, attempting to power it on.

"Come on, turn on damn it! These things never work like they're supposed to..."

The blue light of the power tube suddenly blasted in Evan's face. The door in the charging station shutting slowly with Chica inside.

"Mind explaining who that is now? I know that Magazine mentioned someone named Chica but-"

"She's a part of the Glamrock Line-up. Although, I don't know why...Wait, Because your experimental scanner only scans human faces, it didn't automatically recognise her! That makes so much more sense and...explains why Lesley said it was a prototype, among a lot of other things in your system."

"...Those sure are words that you just said. Whatever, can I go now?"

"No! You are going to stay right there until Chica finishes charging. If you're that bored, go find some loose tokens in that couch next to me. You might be able to play a few rounds of Street Skate Superstar if you're lucky."

"Okay Okay! I get it, you're angry. Don't need to spell it out for me..." Dreadbonnie muttered, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

Dreadbonnie watched as Evan made the final finishing touches on the Charging Station, he had to admit that the kid was good with electronics, just not giant horror bunnies. To be fair would be a lot to ask of anyone. However, he soon grew bored and closed his eyes.

"Um...Is he asleep?" Chica asked while stretching, it had been 5 minutes and Chica was now fully charged.

"Who knows at this point, he's been all over the place since we powered him on." Evan said with his fingers on the bridge of his nose.

"Literally or figuratively?"

"Both. Ugh...More problems."

"Wow, now that I get a look at him..."

Chica approached closer, examining the Bonnie look-alike. The resemblance was uncanny, yet they didn't match each other at all, both in colour scheme and personality.

"I know right? The dude is horrifying looking."

"...Well, I mean...I guess he does look pretty weird but I kind of like it. There's a charm to it." Chica said happily, getting a perturbed glance from Evan.

"Always trust Chica to find something in someone nobody else will."

Dreadbonnie's eyes opened slightly, he could make out something white and pink but his eyelids refused to raise further. He let out a long yawn and fully opened his eyes, only to see Chica right in his face, staring at him. He flinched back, yet her face didn't move.

"U-Uhhhh... Can I help you?"

"O-Oh! I'm sorry, you just... remind me of someone else."
Chica looked down at the floor, her expression seemingly saddened.

"Riiiiight. Sorry for getting confrontational earlier, by the way. You knowing my name already kind of threw me off."

"That's absolutely fine! But, you do owe me a Pizza now!"

"Wait what?"

Before he can question her, Chica skips off. Dreadbonnie shook his head and tapped Evan on the shoulder.

"Hey, assuming we don't want to waste any more time. Can we go to Cross now?"

"Yes, Dreadbonnie. We can go to Cross now."
"Sweet."

"Wait... Oh my god!" Chica yelped in surprise before rushing back and grabbing Bonnie by the hand.
"Wha-Hey!"

"You're going to meet Roxy, Monty and Freddy! We have to go right now, Come on!"

"Wait what? I didn't sign up for this! I was gonna-"

"It can wait! We have to go now!"

Dreadbonnie, without any warning, was yanked forward by Chica's surprisingly strong grip, essentially dragging him away. Evan looked on as they disappeared into the fog and sighed heavily.

"I gotta ask Lesley and Macie about how they've dealt with this for so long, I'd have probably gone insane by now."

He then looked down at his clipboard, there was still work to be done. Evan sighed once more before heading back towards Mr Cross, only to realise the two animatronics had gone the completely wrong way.

"...I better get a raise for this."

"And that led to the renovations of Bonnie Bowl. Now, I know that this place is important to you all, especially you Freddy."

Freddy and the gang nodded, Monty and Roxy looked away slightly when they saw Freddy's slightly depressed face. Freddy understood perfectly why things had to change, but it didn't stop the feelings from rising to the surface.

In truth, nobody knew what had happened to Bonnie. Staff bot memory banks indicated he was in Gator Golf last before his disappearance, but Monty told everyone that he never saw Bonnie enter. In fact, with a thorough investigation, Lesley realised that Monty's memory from that night was missing, as if it had been wiped clean from his servers entirely.

Vanessa had also told everyone that she also saw Bonnie enter Gator Golf, but never saw him after that. Thus leaving his whereabouts a mystery.

"I also know you wouldn't have liked it if I had changed everything. Which is why I have preserved a bit of the bowling alley."

"Wait, Really?!" Freddy said with excitement, shocking the others before resuming his calm demeanour.
"S-Sorry! I was just...very excited by that statement."

"Wait. Bossman, you're telling me that because ya knew we all missed Bonnie, ya made sure to preserve a little bit of him in the attraction?"

"Well, that's one of the things I've done. I would mention the other thing but It's the main reason I called you all here, so I'd prefer to leave it as a surprise. Anyways..."

Cross pointed towards the corner, next to a small lounge was a smaller Bowling Alley, with a similar yet darker colour scheme to the original.
"There it is, we had an overabundance of Bowling Balls anyways so might as well put them to use."

Freddy smiled happily, Roxy gave a small grin, but Monty grinned madly before leaning in to give Cross a giant bear hug, crushing the life out of him.

"Awww, Ya shouldn't have Boss!"
"Monty...Can't...Breath."

"Monty! You're suffocating him." Roxy said with a deadpan stare. Monty looked down at the now blue human and immediately placed it on the ground.

"Shoot. Sorry..."

"GUUUUUUYS!"

Everyone turned in the direction of Chica's voice, they could hear her footsteps as she approached swiftly, skidding to a stop in front of them. Freddy smiled once Chica came into view.

"Ah! Chica, I'm glad you were able to find a recharge station in time!"

"Yeah, And I made a new friend too!"

"Really, where is he?"

Chica turned around and pointed into the fog, now that they were looking, they could make out a figure in the distance, slowly approaching.

"Oh, So you've met him already, Chica?"

Chica nodded happily, confusing the others even further.

"Ahem... Alright, Everyone! Meet the newest addition to the Pizzaplex..." Mr Cross announced as Dreadbonnie finally emerged from the fog with his arms folded.

...

Freddy, Monty and Roxanne all stood there in shock, the mist flowed between their feet, yet the air remained stagnant. Mr Cross looked at all of their faces, it was clear that some explaining was necessary. Monty opened his mouth to speak, but Cross stopped him.

"I know what you three are thinking, but this isn't the Bonnie you know. The higher-ups had been receiving complaints about where Bonnie was for a while, and they decided enough was enough."

Freddy's face went from shock to sadness, for a split second, he thought his friend had returned to him, but despite the emotions he was feeling, he nodded.
"I...I understand Mr Cross."

"Yeah... It's just a bit awkward." Monty commented.

"Hey... Uhhh..."

Dreadbonnie tapped Cross on the shoulder, gaining his attention.

"Ah, Sorry Dreadbonnie. I'm glad you're back. I'm sorry if the mood isn't exactly what you expected it to be but-"

"No, No, no! It's fine I guess, I just kinda feel out of the loop. Was there another Bonnie before me or something?"

"Y-Yes. There was but... He was put out of commission a while back." Freddy answered, Dreadbonnie looked down for a second.

"Well, I suppose we shouldn't dwell on this. This is Dreadbonnie, he's going to be the new mascot of this place when it's fully furnished."

"That's cool and but..." Roxanne approached Dreadbonnie before stopping a good 12 inches away from him. "Did they have to make him look so damn Freaky?"

"Roxy!" Freddy scolded, causing her to throw up her hands in defence.

"What?! I'm not wrong! Plus, someone had to say it." She said while folding her arms.

Dreadbonnie simply released a hearty chuckle, before walking towards the wolf. Roxanne leaned backwards as he approached, her face contorting with discomfort as he showed off his sharp and shiny teeth.

"What's wrong, little Roxy? Scared of the big giant rabbit?" He teased, purposefully looming over her.

"N-N-No! I'm the best, I don't get scared! Could you back off?" Roxanne yelled, trying her darndest to sound confident. Dreadbonnie simply giggled at her attempt to fight off the surprised fear before walking away, walking towards the entrance.

"Wha-Dreadbonnie! Where are you going?!" Cross yelled, getting him to stop.

"It's already past midnight, I figured since everyone should've left for the day I could go exploring instead of being stuck in here."

"Not without someone to keep an eye on you!" Evan yelled, having finally caught up. He huffed in exhaustion before pushing his glasses back onto his face. "You went missing twice today!"

"That is a good point, Evan, I'm glad you're back! Can you watch him for the night?" Cross asked, to which Evan's face froze only to fill with exhaustion.

He only needed one look at the young mechanics' face to tell that he looked tired, really tired.

"Yeah... Sorry Boss, but I think I've had enough for today honestly. I'm just... I'm just gonna go." He muttered, walking past Bonnie.

Mr Cross looked towards Bonnie with suspicion, he simply raises his hands in defence and Cross facepalms. Who was gonna watch him now? He had to file paperwork in his office, The only night guard still around by this time was Vanessa and she'd be too busy to babysit...

"Heya Boss? One of us could watch him if ya don't have any options." Monty pointed out, causing Chica to squeal with glee.

"Oooooooh! That's a good idea! Can I do that, Mr Cross?"

Cross thought for a good while, what Dreadbonnie said was true and it would be a decent way to get Dreadbonnie familiar with the other areas, but he still wasn't sure.
"I-I don't know. Shouldn't you and the rest be going back to your green rooms to charge?"

"Aww Come on! Pretty please? It won't take long, promise! And the others can join later once they've charged too!" She begged, Freddy lowered his eyelids and decided to help out.

"I think Chica is the best option for this, sir. Her battery life has much more power than ours and making him and Chica wait for everyone to finish completing the recharge cycle.." Freddy pointed out. Chica was always a bit excitable, especially around new people. But, he figured he'd lend her a helping hand in convincing Cross.

Mr Cross finally gave in, shaking his head before sighing.
"Alright fine. But, if I find anything wrong when I come back, I'm going to you two first."

"Yes sir! You won't regret this!" Chica saluted before running over to Bonnie, who was leaning on the wall, tapping his foot with a mass amount of impatience.

As Freddy watched the two of them speak, Monty tapped him on the shoulder and whispered.
"You sure about this, Fred? Ya know Chica can be a bit...Rowdy."

"I know, but she won't be on her own for long. She seemed really enthusiastic today, so denying her some fun seemed wrong."

"Alright, yer the boss. I trust ya. But let me know if those two start making trouble and I'll bring 'em over to ya."

Freddy nodded, smiling at Monty for offering to help. However, a seed of doubt began to form in the back of Freddy's mind. Was that the right call? He didn't know.

He didn't know how to feel about Dreadbonnie either, he and Bonnie were clearly two separate people, even the way they talked was different. But, seeing another Bunny animatronic walking around in what was once Bonnie Bowl... It made him feel incredibly uneasy.

Either way, he was happy to make a new friend and remained hopeful for the future. If he wanted to be able to interact with the new face properly then he'd have to let go of the past at some point...

If only it were that simple.
