~Playing His Cards Right~

"Do you have any sevens?"

"Go fish."

Amu frowned to herself as she picked up a card from the pile between her and Ikuto. "Your turn. What are you going to ask me for?"

Ikuto looked down at the cards in his hands before looking up at the girl in front of him. "Your heart."

Feeling the heat rush to her cheeks, Amu kept her eyes on her cards. She wanted to ask what he meant but her mouth was suddenly too dry for her to speak.

Noticing the effect he was having on the pinkette, Ikuto couldn't help but smirk. "The ace, to be exact."

Scowling at his joke, Amu pulled the ace from her hand and flicked it at him. She huffed as she fixed the cards she held but didn't say anything as Ikuto collected his card and put his pair down to the side.

"And the one in your chest. It only seems fair, seeing as I have already given you mine."

Eyes widening, Amu looked up in time to see the tender look in Ikuto's eyes "What?"

"I know this date didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but I can't seem to mind. I get to spend time with you. That's the best sort of date. I want to go on more with you if you'll let me."

Her face had to be as red as the cards in her hands but Amu couldn't find it in herself to care. "Only if you let me plan the next one."

Ikuto dropped his cards to his lap before leaning over the small puddle of them between them. He searched Amu's eyes as he brought his hand up to her cheek. Slowly, so that she'd have time to move away if she wanted, he leaned in and kissed her. "I would love nothing more than to go on a date that you planned."

Still flushed, Amu sat back and cleared her throat. She ignored the way her lips were tingling and her heart was racing. "Right. It's still your turn."

Smirking again, Ikuto looked back down at his cards. "Any sixes?"

"Go fish."
