Chapter 6 Romantic night and another attempt
Ash enjoyed herself watching Johnny play the piano and thought the new song he learned was great. "I have to say Johnny, your piano playing is getting better. Miss Crawly is a good teacher" Ash stated. "Thanks Ash I might play this song for the next show" said Johnny. After rehearsal Johnny and Ash went out for the evening. They took a stroll through the park and saw fireflies flying around. "They look like little stars dancing for us" exclaimed Ash. "The most beautiful star is the one right next to me" Johnny said as he and Ash looked into each other's eyes and began to share a romantic and passionate kiss.
Johnny held Ash in his arms and never wanted to let go. All of a sudden both Johnny and Ash's stomach started growling. They started laughing and decided to go get dinner. "Wanna have dinner at my place? I did the grocery shopping yesterday and I can make something for us" Johnny offered. "That sounds great thank you" replied Ash as the two of them went back to Johnny's place. Johnny and Ash enjoyed their dinner together and each other's company. Since Johnny didn't want Ash walking home at night he escorted her home. "Thank you Johnny for taking me home" Ash said as she and Johnny arrived at Ash's place. "You're welcome, my beautiful rock star" said Johnny as they kissed goodnight. Ash went inside her place and Johnny went home promising Ash he would text her as soon as arrived home.
While Ash was home she took a shower and got herself ready for bed. Before Ash went to bed Johnny kept his promise to Ash to let her know he got home safely by texting her. Ash went to bed that night with a smile on her face and heart thinking about Johnny. The next morning around 7AM There was somebody ringing her doorbell. "Who could it be so early in the morning?" Ash thought to herself. When she opened the door it was her parents. "Mom and Dad, what are you both doing here so early?!" Ash asked in a grumpy tone. "Well good morning to you too sweetheart. Your Dad texted you last night asking if we can have breakfast together but you never replied back" answered Robin. "That's because I fell asleep and didn't hear my phone. Breakfast sounds fine but I would appreciate it next time you or Dad call me" said Ash.
Ash's parents promised to do that before they went into the kitchen to make pancakes. When breakfast was ready the three of them sat down to eat and Ash's parents were going to attempt to talk to their daughter. "I have to say Dad, you always did know how to make really good pancakes. I have missed your cooking a little bit" Ash pointed out as she was eating. "Sweetie, we didn't come over just to have breakfast with you. We wanted to talk to you about something" Robin told her daughter. "What do you and Dad want to talk about? Is everything ok with you two?" Ash questioned. "We're fine Ash, no worries. We wanted to talk about….." Frank began to say when all of a sudden somebody began ringing Ash's doorbell nonstop. Ash went to answer the door and it was Johnny. "Baby you ok? Why do you look like you just ran a marathon?" Ash asked as she brought Johnny inside her home. Johnny saw Ash's parents and wished them a good morning. "I'm fine Babe I just have something really exciting to tell you. My Dad and the guys have been given an early parole for good behavior. They have to do some community service for a while but they're fine with it" Johnny told Ash.
Ash was so happy for Johnny and invited her boyfriend to join her and her family for breakfast. "You gotta try my Dad's pancakes, they're really good," Ash offered as Johnny sat down at the table. Johnny agreed with Ash that the pancakes her father made were delicious. "So Mom and Dad, what is it that you wanted to talk about?" Ash asked her parents. "It can wait your father and I have some stuff we plan on doing, please excuse us," Robin said as she and Frank left Ash's place. "Are your parents ok? They looked and sounded a bit annoyed" Johnny pointed out. "You're right they did seem like it and I don't like that one bit. I'm going to get to the botton of it" Ash promised as she began to get very curious to know what has been on her parents mind that they want to talk about.
