It has been years since I have written a fanfiction story. Before my obsession was with Twilight. Now I have found a new one. I love this show and the characters inspired me to write a non cannon series about them. I hope you enjoy and if anyone would like to beta this story along with the others in this series, please let me know. I could use the help. Thanks.

Scott:
I knew the moment she walked into the school. The tread of her steps, the beat of her heart, even the slow relaxed breaths she takes all register to my senses. Her first, over every other person in the hall. It doesn't matter I was in the midst of listening to my best friend's latest freak out over something we can't control because we don't even know if there is a threat or where it would be coming from. As soon as I caught her tinkling little laugh, my head turned.
Her smile as bright as her fiery red hair. She nodded along at whatever Allison was saying to her as they walked towards us. As beautiful as always in her green leggings, and slinky black t-shirt with a gold belt around her waist. Her high heeled green suede boots clicked against the tiled floor. Her hair, usually in a singular braid, was up in a curly updo with whisps framing her face highlighting her green eyes and just a touch of gloss on her lips. Even a year later, I can still feel the ghost of them pressed against mine. If only I could feel them again now.
"Scott. Yo, Scotty? You there?" Stiles called waving a hand in front of my face. I blinked and looked back at him as he quirked an eyebrow at me.
"Sorry. Yeah, what were you saying?" I asked. He gave me an amused smile as he looked past me to see the girls approach us.
"Never mind buddy. I see your thoughts are somewhere else or on someone else I guess." He chuckled before going to his locker to open it.
Sighing, I turned to my own, shaking my head to clear it.
"Hey guys." Allison greeted smiling. Allison, Lydia's best friend and my ex. I'm sure that's who Stiles thought my focus was on and I am happy to let him continue thinking that. He can never know who I was really focused on. "Lydia and I were just talking about taking a road trip to Texas and checking out Texas A & M campus, like around Christmas break?"
"Texas? Why?" Stiles asked trading his books out and shutting the locker with a loud clang.
"Because… we should probably start checking out colleges. You know since we graduate next year." Lydia pointed out in a 'duh' tone.
"Well yeah, but I thought we all agreed to go to a school closer to here so we could all stay together." Stiles pointed out.
He's been hyper fixed on us all staying close to each other and close to our hometown, which just happened to be supernatural central. I get it since at least half of us are supernatural and we have been kind of the unofficial protecters of our town. But it seems to have become an obsession to him. We have tried to explain to him that no matter where in the world we go we will always be friends, family, and a pack. But he hears none of it.
"Sorry, but I already got early acceptance to MIT, so that's where I am going. But I'm happy to go along on the trip. You know… for moral support." Lydia admitted.
"You mean you are happy to get some space between you and your mom for a few days." Allison smirked, bumping her shoulder.
"Potato, potahto. So, are we going or not?" Lydia asked, as Allison laughed heartly by her side.
"Wait, hold the phone. When did you decide to go to MIT? That's not anywhere near here. It's like… the span of the country." Stiles stuttered out, working himself up.
"I see that globe you have in your room has paid off." She responded before turning to me. She quirked a perfectly arched brow at me in question. Her eyes sparkled in her heart shaped face.
"Uh, yeah, I'll go. Could be cool." I answered closing my own locker even though I still had my backpack on.
"No, wait. This is not the plan. We have a plan. We all go to school close to home. When did you all change the plan and why was I not informed?" Stiles asked.
"Stiles, relax. We are just going to look and see what it's like. No one has made any final decisions on this. We still have a year to decide."
"Lydia has." He pointed out petulantly. "We had a plan?"
"Plans change." Lydia shrugged. "Either way I'm in, but we'll talk deets at lunch." She gave a small wave and walked off.
"Plans don't change unless you change them." Stiles called out as he followed her.
My eyes followed her only frowning slightly when Stiles put an arm around her shoulders. She shrugged it off though shaking her head at him. I felt a poke in my side and turned to see Allison smiling at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Could you be any more obvious?" She chuckled.
"What do you mean? Obvious about what?"
"Seriously, Scott." She rolled her eyes. "We may not be together anymore, but I still know you better than almost anyone."
"I don't know what you are talking about." I said avoiding her piercing gaze and heading for my first class, which she happens to also be in and sits right in front of me. As soon as I sat and pulled my book out of my bag, she turned in her seat and poked me again.
"Scott, it's okay. I can see it, but I doubt Stiles does and I know Lydia doesn't. As smart as she is, she's oblivious to this."
"I don't know what you are talking about." I repeated.
"Okay Scott, sure." She turned back in her seat pulling her own book out along with a notebook and pen.
Shaking my head at her I gave my attention to the teacher. History, one of my favorite subjects, but my mind was stuck in the present, all class, on a certain pretty redhead.
JAKJAKJAK
"How did you know?" I asked Allison as we exited the class an hour later.
"You mean besides the love-struck look you give her every time she so much as inhales." She nonchalantly said. "Like I said Scott, I know you. You practically light up whenever she is within arm's reach. And I bet you hear her first and foremost over any and everything else if she's even in the same building as you. Probably pick her heartbeat out of anyone else's no matter where you are, also."
"Oh." I could feel my face warm in embarrassment and a bit of guilt. This is Allison, my ex-girlfriend and Lydia's best friend and Lydia is my best friend's dream girl. "Sorry."
"Why are you sorry?" she tilted her head at me.
"Well, I mean… she's… and you're-."
"Stop." She grabbed my arm and stopped us from moving forward.
"Scott, you, and Lydia are two of my best friends. We broke up, I'll always have feelings in some way for you, but we have both moved past this, moved on. If being with Lydia would make you both happy then I am all for it. I would never stand in the way of that just because of the past. If you want to go after her then do it." She gave my arm a squeeze in reassurance.
I studied her for a minute, paying attention to any sign that she's not being completely honest. There was none. She was being as sincere as always. She was right, we had both moved on and we still managed to be friends.
"Thanks. That means a lot." I started to smile but it faded as quickly as it appeared. "It's not that simple though." I sighed.
"Stiles?" She inquired.
"Stiles." I agreed.
"You guys call my name?" he appeared out of thin air. "What's up?"
"Uh… just talking about the trip and how to get you to go along." I lied.
"Oh, well don't bother. I already agreed to go, even though I veto this new plan." He pouted.
"There is no new plan, or old plan. There's no plan at all. Besides, we are just going to look, that's all. And it gets us away from parents and whatever other threat is out there trying to kill us now, for a few days." Allison sighed turning towards her class.
"There was too a plan. And it's ruined thanks to 'she who shall not be named'." Stiles called after her.
"She's not Voldemort." I told him, leading him in the opposite direction.
"Might as well be." He mumbled trudging along.
Lydia:
"Stiles, calm down. It's just a road trip. That's all. Just to get away. Just think of it as a vacation." Scott's raspy deep voice pulled me from my review of the notes in front of me. I forced my head to not shoot up as his tread got closer to the back of the room where I sat. The smell of his aftershave made me inhale deeply as he took the seat right next to me. I looked over and smiled at him as he attempted to calm his overly excited friend.
He's filled out a lot since just last year. I know a lot of it is the whole werewolf thing but some of it is due to his dedication to keeping fit for lacrosse as well. It was working whatever he was doing. The printed tee he wore strained against the muscles in his arms and a peek of his tattoo shown from beneath it. I never asked what it stood for. But I admit it's hot, especially as it stands out against his tanned skin. His earnest dark brown eyes trained on Stiles and a dimple threatened to break through as he tried not to smile.
"Yeah, but…" Stiles whine sitting in front of me and turning to face us.
"But nothing. It's just a road trip, that's all. Just live in the present man, let the rest sort itself out." Scott told him.
"Fine. Fine. But I still veto this decision. What school are we checking out anyway?" Stiles asked.
Scott turned to look at me and I blinked out of the memory I was reliving. Strong hot hands gripping my ass backing me up against the desk. The same hands that placed me on the desk and then tugged me roughly into him as we kissed. Lips trailing down my jaw, my neck, my ear. His body forced me backwards until I was lying flat, my legs wrapping around him. Feeling him pressing…
"What?" I asked.
"What school are we visiting?" Stiles asked again.
"Oh, I think Allison mentioned something about Texas A&M. Apparently it's her dad's alma mater and she wanted to check it out."
"So not only are you going to Massachusetts, but she's going to Texas. That's just great. The plan is shot all to hell." Stiles threw his hand up and turned away from us. I could only roll my eyes at him.
"He'll get over it. Just give him time." Scott leaned over to whisper to me. He was just inches from me now, I could practically feel his breath caress my skin. I fought the shiver that threatened to take over and nodded at him.
"Right." I whispered and almost sighed in relief as the teacher called the class to attention. One more second of being that close and I was bound to do something stupid.
"Alright class, I want you to look at the person on your left. These will be your partners for the next 2 weeks. Its group project time." Mr. Reese said.
I didn't need to look to my left, I was sitting in the last seat of the last row on the right.
"I guess we are partners." Scott said smiling at me with perfectly straight teeth.
"I guess we are. Let's try not to ruin my average, shall we?" I told him.
"I promise not to let you down." He chuckled.
He never has.
