"Did her parents catch you guys in the act as well?" Huelene asked as Huey shook his head.
"No, my Grandad went and told them what happened," Huey answered.
"Oh, so he snitched!" Huelene said laughing.
"Yeah, he snitched, but he told me if I had stopped, he most likely wouldn't have told her parents. He said I was acting like an animal during mating season," Huey smirked.
"I mean you did keep going while he was in the room asking you to stop," Huelene said.
"Yeah, but when her parents found out it was awkward," Huey said shivering at the memory of it.
It was the same day that Jazmine and I were caught by my Grandad. He forced Jazmine and me to go over to the DuBois residence as soon as we woke up and put on our clothes. Tom had just returned home after a long day of dealing with thugs at work. So all he wanted to do was sleep and not be disturbed. My Grandad, on the other hand, was furious when he told him what had happened between Jazmine and me. This was probably the first time I've ever seen Tom mad.
He tried to beat me up but Sarah and my Grandad had to hold him back.
I was just standing there looking at him unphased because I didn't see Tom as a threat.
I know I should have been scared, but I wasn't because I knew deep down I could hurt Tom if I wanted to. But since he was a lawyer, my girlfriend's dad, and also a friend of my Grandad's I decided to just walk away.
I went and sat at the dining table as I could hear him calling me the worst names in the book. I wasn't offended because I knew he was upset that I had sex with his daughter. I knew for a fact if I found out my underage daughter was having sex, I would be mad too.
Once Tom was able to calm down they all came into the dining room where I was at.
They all sat down at the table and Jazmine sat right next to me while our parents were in front of us. Tom and my Grandad were glaring at me while Sarah didn't look surprised.
The tension was so thick you could cut it in half.
"So is anybody going to say anything?" Sarah asked. She was the calmest out of everybody.
"Yes, I will like to start by saying you owe me a new pair of shoes and pants Huey," my Grandad said still glaring at me.
Right, my cum shot out on his shoes and pants.
"Okay!" I said not having a problem buying him any shoes or pants. I should get paid this weekend so that wasn't going to be a problem for me.
"Would any of you like to talk about Jazmine and Huey having sex?" Sarah asked as Tom cringed at the word sex.
"We don't have to talk about it," I assured.
"Shush Huey!" Sarah said getting me to be quiet. It probably was best since Tom and my Grandad were mad at me.
"Okay," I simply said.
"I will like to ask, did you use protection?" Tom asked trying to stay calm.
"Yeah, we used protection," I answered as both my Grandad and Sarah sighed in relief.
"Thank God!" Sarah said smiling.
"Sarah that's still not good. They shouldn't have been having sex in the first place," Tom angrily spoke.
"You're not wrong, but you have to understand they're teenagers and teenagers do things like have sex," Sarah said making Tom cringe once again.
"Yeah but with Huey?" Tom said as I cocked my eyebrow.
Wait, was he mad that Jazmine was having sex with me?
"You could have had it with anybody, but you picked Huey?" Tom said once again.
"Well it's not like Huey is a bad option," Sarah tried to defend me until she thought about what she just said.
Unlike my Grandad and Tom, Sarah knew what I did when I came home after school. She knew about all the girls I did it with and she knew that I smoked. She was always at home, so of course, she knew about all the girls that came to my house and had seen the smoke leaving my room a couple of times.
I wouldn't blame her if she didn't want me to date, Jazmine.
Hell, I wouldn't even want a guy like me to date someone's daughter.
"I guess since you're a good kid," Tom said loosening up as Sarah looked at him funny.
I guess she was really regretting what she had said before.
"Yeah and he doesn't do anything wrong," my Grandad added.
"At least it's not someone like Riley," my Grandad said as Tom definitely couldn't disagree. Sarah looked at me funny and shook her head.
I think she thinks, I'm worse than Riley! But as long as she keeps agreeing with them we should be good.
"Oh wow, so Sarah basically covered for you?" Huelene asked as Huey nodded.
"I think she had regretted covering for me when she came to the realization with what I had did before I dated Jazmine," Huey said.
"I would regret it too if I was her," Huelene said.
"Don't worry, I know you wouldn't agree," Huey said already knowing Huelene.
"Yeah, but, did they not mind you guys doing it afterward?" she asked as Huey looked at her as if she was crazy.
"Yes, they did mind! Whenever Jazmine and I were in the same room with each other they would make us leave the door open, so Jazmine and I would do it in my car before we came back home," Huey answered.
"Seems like you guys were sneaking around," Huelene smirked.
"Yeah, but I don't think you came in at that part," Huey reminded.
"Okay, when do you think I came in?" Huelene questioned.
"I think you came in when Jazmine and I had moved into our house in Washington, and we were working," Huey said, thinking about it.
"Why were you guys working? Didn't you guys go to college as soon as you graduated high school?" Huelene asked.
"No, we didn't go straight to college. We took a year off from college so that way we could adjust to our house and save up for college," Huey answered.
"How did your parents feel about you guys trying to move?" Huelene asked.
"Our parents didn't mind us moving to Washington, they had a problem with us living together, especially Sarah," Huey implied.
"Sarah? I thought she would be the one to encourage it," Huelene said, surprised.
"No, Sarah was the main one who was against Jazmine and me living together. The reason why is because Sarah didn't believe I could provide for Jazmine just as Tom has provided for her over the years," Huey said as Huelene was confused.
"But you had just got out of high school, how could she expect for you to provide for Jazmine if you haven't got y'all's lives together?" Huelene asked trying to make sense.
"You'd be very surprised!" Huey stated.
"Sarah was basically a golddigger and was trying to find a way to be taken care of instead of doing anything when she was young. She started dating Tom when he became rich and popular around the area," Huey inferred.
"Oh!" Huelene said out of relization.
"And she basically didn't want Jazmine to date me because I wasn't rich, popular, and she wanted our relationship to fail so desperately, just to prove a point! Before Jazmine and I had left for Washington, she strictly informed us not to ask for money to help pay for bills or college tuition," Huey spoke in disappointment.
Jazmine and I had said our goodbyes to our families and we were on the way to Washington. It was going to take us about an hour to drive over there so it wasn't as far as you think it might be.
But as we were driving I looked over at Jazmine to see she was nervous. I could tell she was scared about the changes that were about to happen. This was going to be her first time leaving home.
I knew how she left because I had felt the same way when leaving Chicago. I had to get to know new people and adjust to my surroundings.
The thing was, as soon as Jazmine and I arrived in Washington, we were going to start working. She was going to be a full-time nurse, and I was going to be a panel beater. You might be thinking, "How can Jazmine work as a nurse without a license?" or "How can I work as a panel beater without a license?" It turns out that our school had us take classes for careers that we might wish to do after high school.
I didn't have panel beater as my first option because I wanted to be a lawyer, but when I signed up for the class, the school board denied my first option, and my second option was business management, which they also denied, and then they put me in panel beater as a joke as a third option.
I was furious when I discovered that students were submitting late papers to get into the lawyer and business classes, and they were accepted, despite the fact that I was not. When I went to look at the classes, I saw why they had rejected my application: they wanted all white people in there.
I wanted to go against the school board with all of this, but I realized it wouldn't mean anything. This was Woodcrest, and almost everybody in Woodcrest was racist. The student body would most likely overrule me and deny my submission.
But one of my teachers let me know I would still make good money as a panel beater. There were a lot of people that needed their cars fixed.
It's not initially what I wanted to do, but beggars can't be choosers.
I already knew how to fix up cars, but they had taught me more about how to do it.
It was beneficial to me and my family since we never had to go pay to get our cars fixed. And the place I was working at was nice enough to hire me.
They were lacking a few workers there so they didn't really ask much when I applied for the job. They said I could start working as soon as I got settled at my new place. It was going to take me roughly 15 minutes to drive to my job.
Then there was Jazmine, who was going to work in a hospital. She was going to assist some of the doctors in providing care to youngsters and adults.
Her job was also going to take 15 minutes to transport to, but our jobs were in different directions, so it would take 30 minutes to drive to her job.
But she said she could take the bus to get to work. I didn't say anything, but I was secretly against it. I wanted to drive her to the hospital because I didn't know how people really were. This was a new area we were living in and I didn't trust people.
"Hey, it's going to be okay!" I assured her, I grabbed her hand and gently squeezed it.
"I know, it's just everything is going to be different now," she said squeezing my hand back.
"I know, but we'll adjust!" I said as she smiled at me.
"You promise!" she said holding out her pinky finger.
I thought it was still childish to do pinky promises but I could understand where she was coming from and I always had done a pinky promise with Jazmine.
I crossed my pinky with her pinky and said: "I pinky promise!"
We pulled up in front of our new house after a couple of miles, and Jazmine was taken aback. Even if she had seen it before, the prospect of it being our first was enough for her. It was plenty for me. It wasn't much of a home, but it'll be enough!
"Oh wow, that's heartwarming that you both adored your new home," Huelene gleamed.
"Yeah, it was something! At first, I didn't like it, but since she was there it made it better," Huey said smiling at the memory.
"That's so sweet! But have you ever thought about looking back?" Huelene asked as Huey shook his head.
