Chapter 17
Bye Bye Butterfree.
Once again, we join our hero, Ash, on his continuing quest to become a Pokémon master. With his friends, Ami Mizuno, The new companion ChibiUsa Tsukino, Makoto, Kino, Rei Hino, Naru Osaka, and Usagi Tsukino, Ash's next adventure is on the horizon as they are walking down Route 9 and on their way to Celadon City for the 4th gym match, last time they encountered Gasly while during the Summer festival and now the gang as well as Pikachu, Artemis, Raichu and Luna looked at the horizon to see the waves crashing into the rocks below making our heroes worry.
"Woah, Such intensity." Ash feared
"Once you fell from here, there's no coming back." Chibiusa said
"And it won't be a soft landing at the bottom." Usagi said with a Sweatdrop on her
"Chaa..."
Then Ami sees a path that leads to the Rock cave
"If we continue along this path we'll beable to reach the Rock tunnel and to Route 10." Ami said
"And that will lead to Route 8." Minako said
"And we'll reach Celadon City." Rei said
"And that is where Celadon Gym is at." Ash said
Then before the gang are about to carry on they spot something over yonder which is a group of Butterfree the others were amazed.
"Wow, look at all the Butterfree!" Usagi said
"They're all so cute!" Chibiusa awed
"The Butterfree are preparing for the season of love." Ami said "in other words, mating season. The Butterfree look for partners like that, and then cross the ocean to lay their eggs."
"So, what about my Butterfree?" Ash asked
"Ash, if you don't let it cross the ocean, it can leave any offspring." Ami said "We should find a Hot Air Balloon available to rent."
"Great Idea!" Minako said
Ash quickly gets out his Pokéball containing Butterfree in disbelief then Makoto looked In disbelief and gets out her PokéBall containing her own Butterfree and looked at Ash sadly.
"Mako, are you ok?" Ash asked
"Ash, I got a confession to make." Makoto said "I have a butterfree as well."
"You...do?" Ash said
After Ash and Makoto got done talking our heores find a hot air balloon available to rent and decide to take to the air to let Ash's Butterfree and Makoto's Butterfree find a mate.
"But we sure are lucky there was a place for hot air balloon rentals." Usagi said
"Even more surprising is that there's room for all of us." Naru said
"It just proves that many people use them during this season." Ami said "Ok, everyone let's take..."
They then see Makoto getting frightened about flying and everyone looked at her in disbelief as she cried in fearfully tears as she hung on to a tree.
"You guys go on without me!" Makoto screamed "I'm scared of flying!"
But Ash got off and walked over to Makoto in kindnesses and took her hand. As he looked back at Gasly turning into an air plane which scared her.
"Mako, don't worry it's a hot air balloon, there's nothing to be scared about." Ash said sweetly "and you'll be ok."
"But...But...What if we'd crash into something?" Makoto said while tearing up while looking at Ash with her sad eyes. "And what if we..."
Ami then looked at Ash and looked back when he helped her get over her fear of wearing a bikini on the beach which made her smile.
"Mako, listen." Ash said "I'll hold your hand to make it easier for you and when you get scared you can grasp my hand lightly or hug me if you want."
Makoto then let go of the tree and held Ash's hand putted her fears aside for now and they both walked over to the Hot Air Balloon with the gang as she held Ash in her arms then Rei pulls a lever and the balloon begins to lift off the ground and gain altitude and the others save Makoto who is covering her eyes and breathing heavily as she is trying to face her fears of flying are amazed by the view.
"Mako, it's ok." Ash said while hugging her "it's just the sea from below."
Makoto then uncovered her eyes "A..Are you sure?"
Ash nodded and she held his hand and is surprisingly amazed by the view as much as the group are.
"This...This is amazing!" Makoto cried in happy tears. "Thank you so much Ash!"
"See?" Ash asked "There's nothing to worry about!"
As everyone looks at the view, Pikachu spots sees a whole swarm of Butterfree as their trainers letted out everyone turned. To see all of them pairing up into couples.
"There they are." Minako said
"Raichu.."
"Wow." Ami said "There's so many of them."
"And All the Butterfree are pairing up into couples!" Rei said
"Ash, why don't you have your Butterfree find it's mate?" Usagi asked
"Ash has a Butterfree?" Naru and Chibiusa asked
"Meow?" Luna meowed
"Yes, ChibiUsa and Naru." Ami said "Ash got a Butterfree before he met us and it's so precious."
"Not as precious as you, Lovely Bookworm." Ash said which made Ami blush "I'll call Butterfree if Mako keeps hugging me."
"Oh!" Makoto said "I'll send out my Butterfree too."
"Butterfree! Go!" Ash and Makoto said
Then Ash's Butterfree materializes from it's PokéBall and when Makoto's Butterfree materializes it's a Pink Female shiny Butterfree and sparkles came out everyone was Suprised
"Mako, you had a shiny Butterfree?" Ash asked
"Yes, before I met you I managed to catch and rescue a Shiny Butterfree from a Fearow once." Makoto said
When the two Butterfrees see eachother Makoto's butterfree falls madly in love and Ash's Butterfree was blushing madly and starts to fall in love.
"Mako, I think your Butterfree is falling in love with Ash's." Chibiusa said
"I hope they make a great couple." Naru said
"Butterfree don't be shy Mako's Butterfree really likes you." Ash said
"Butterfree, do your stuff!" Makoto said "Show Ash's what your made of!"
Soon, everyone hears Pokéballs opening, indicating that there are trainers nearby releasing their Butterfree Raichu sees it which gets the Gang's as well as the two Butterfrees
"Rai, Rai!"
"Pika? Pika!"
"Wow, More Balloons!" Rei said "They're all Butterfree trainers! They must come at this time every year to release their Butterfree."
The two Butterfrees looked at them and Makoto's Pink Butterfree rather stick with Ash's Butterfree and The Pink Butterfree flittered round and round Ash's Butterfree which causes it to blush even more.
"Guys, I don't think Mako's and Ash's Butterfrees want to got to the others to find their lovers." Ami said "Makoto's Butterfree wants to be with Ash's instead."
"Butterfree, show Mako's Butterfree how you could be her Butterfree." Ash said
"Uh Ash, What's Mako's Butterfree doing?" Minako asked
"She's Doing a Unique courtship dance." Ash said "She's expressing 'I love you more than any other Butterfree in the entire world!' With one's body."
"That's so romantic!" Chibiusa said
Unfortunately Ash's Butterfree gets akward and flew away down to the forest which leaves everyone including the Pink Butterfree confused and worried.
"Butterfree, Come back!" Ash called
"Oh No!" Ami said "It gotten very shy it flew away in the forest, we got to find him!"
"Aww..." Makoto moaned
Makoto's Pink Butterfree becomes worried and sad and Ami slowly lowers the Hot Air balloon and Makoto's heart begins to race a little and hugs Ash then soon The balloon lands everyone got out and everyone starts looking for Butterfree.
"Butterfree!" Ash called
"Where are you?" Ami called
"Pikachu!"
"Hey Butterfree!" Chibiusa called
"Where did you go?" Naru called
"Hey Guys, I think I found him!" Makoto said "He's hiding behind that tree!"
Everyone rushes over to Butterfree, who is hiding behind a tree that Makoto is pointed out and Ash's Butterfree's face is all bright red of embarrassment.
"Hey, Butterfree." Ash said "Are you ok?"
Butterfree lowers his head in embarrassment
"Butterfree there's nothing to be afraid of." Ash said "It's your first time seeing a girl you like and it may be embarrassing at first but once you get to know her you and her would make a great couple."
"Wow, Ash those are wise words." Chibiusa said
"I really know how it feels." Makoto said "When we first met Ash I was daydreaming of him and once we got to know him we've made a great team and I'm a great coach to him and he did the same to us. And I still daydream of him."
"Yeah, we do feel the same way." Minako said then turned teasingly to Ami. "Especially a certain intelligent girl with short blue hair who does it after studying in the hotel room with me..."
"Ooohh..." Usagi, Rei, Makoto, Chibiusa and Naru said
"Raiiichu."
"Girls.." Luna thought "Can we not make fun of Ami this is serious! We need to help Ash's Butterfree get competent enough to fall in love with Mako's Butterfree!"
The girls are staring at Ami teasingly which made her cheeks go as red as a cherry and her heartbeat started racing and she covered her face of embarrassment.
"G-G-Girls, Ashy!" Ami stuttered "It's not what you think, really! And let's j-j-just focus on helping B-B-Butterfree!"
While Ash shook his head of embarrassment that the girls are making fun of Ami Pikachu walks over to Butterfree and have a conversation about him helping Butterfree gain bravery on wanting to fall in love with Makoto's Butterfree and when their done he walks back to the group.
"Pika Pika Pika Pikachu."
"You're saying that..." Ash asked then thought an idea "Hey Butterfree, you should show your strong points in front of your partner since Makoto's Butterfree did and you should do the same."
"That's right." Rei said "In any case you have to push yourself forward!"
"Love is about striking first, one way or another." Usagi said "Do the fluttering to Mako's butterfree since she did it as well."
Ami then had an idea she went over to butterfree and puts a yellow scarf around Butterfree's neck dressing him up a bit and Butterfree liked it.
"There you go Butterfree." Ami said "You look so precious."
Before they can take off again Makoto's Pink butterfree called for help as the gang rushed over to see what's going on and they are shocked that she is being attacked by a Fearow. Ash's Butterfree went to her rescue and tackled the Fearow and Makoto's Butterfree joined Ash's Butterfree and scared it off by flying away Makoto asked her Butterfree if she's ok and she nodded yes
"Thank goodness that you're ok, Butterfree." Makoto said
"Great Job Butterfree, you saved Mako's Butterfree." Ash said
"Pikachu."
After that our heroes went back on the Hot Air balloon and Makoto held on to Ash to not be afraid of flying and Rei then pulls a lever and the balloon begins to lift off the ground and gain altitude Ash's and Makoto's Butterfree are dancing in the skies and Ash is very proud of Butterfree.
"Wow, Butterfree you grew up so fast." Ash said
"Ashy, thank you for helping me face my fears of flying on a Hot Air Balloon." Makoto thanked "I would ask you to dance with me just like our Butterfrees if we weren't so high up."
"Don't worry Mako we'll all dance with him sometime down the line." Rei said
"Right now, let's watch Both of your Butterfrees dance and snuggle." Chibiusa said
"Pikachu."
Suddenly Ami hears something coming close by. "Guys do you hear a helicopter?"
"I sense an evil aura." Rei said
"I do too, Rei." Ash said "Oh crap, it's Team Rocket."
The gang as well as Pikachu, Raichu, Luna, Artemis and the two Butterfrees looked in the distance a helicopter bearing the Team Rocket logo flies in, and it's piloted by Team Rocket themselves everyone was annoyed.
"That's right little boy and his bratty girls!" Jessie said as she as well as James and Meowth are about to start their motto. "Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!" James said
"To protect the world from devastation."
"To unite all peoples within our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie."
"James."
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth!" Meowth finished "That's right!"
"All those Butterfree are ours for the taking!" James said
As Team Rocket says their motto, they lower a Team Rocket colored Pokéball from the bottom of the chopper. Then The Pokéball is soon revealed to be a giant butterfly net specifically made to capture the Butterfree. All the Butterfree panicked and tried to fly away from it but it was no use. Team Rocket starts snatching up the Butterfree with their giant net leaving Ash's and Makoto's butterfrees as well as the Gang horrified.
"Oh No!" Ami cried "They're stealing the Butterfree!"
"Hey, What the hell are you doing?!" Rei said
"Ha, they're ours and you can't have them back." James mocked
"They'll be of no help." Jessie said "Fill her up, fill her up!"
"At this rate, they're gonna steal the whole flock!" Naru said
"Hey, knock it off, Damn it!" Makoto shouted "Butterfree don't fly into that net!"
"Stop it!" Ami cired
"Pika!"
"Raichu!"
"They're preparing for their important mating season!" Minako shouted
"The Butterfree are falling in love!" Chibiusa shouted
Jessie laughed snootingly "If they're gonna mate, then all the eggs will be ours too."
"We'll be taking family sets." James said
"Damn you!" Ash growled
"Bastards!" Makoto shouted
More Butterfree were netted up, the heroes including Naru and Chibiusa were yelling and ordering Team Rocket to end their capturing plot as they pursue them as Ash's and Makoto's Butterfree tried to break them free but it was no use.
"You damn bastards! Makoto snapped "GIVE BACK THE BUTTERFREE!!"
"Leave the Butterfree alone!" Ami shouted
"Pika!!"
"Raichu!!"
"We'll get all we can take!" Jessie laughed
"A treasure load of Butterfree." Meowth said
"This season is totally nice." James said
"Hey Rei, can't we catch up?" Usagi said
"I'm trying," Rei said "But there's a difference between a Balloon and a helicopter!"
Soon, Ash's Butterfree is flying side by side with Team Rocket's chopper and The chopper flies ahead and captures Makoto's Pink Butterfree which causes Makoto to get Livid with rage and leaves Ash's Butterfree behind until he zooms on in and promises to Makoto's pink Butterfree that he'll save her. Butterfree then attacks Team Rocket's chopper.
"You heartless, bastard..." Makoto growled "GIVE ME BACK MY BUTERFREE!!!"
"Yeah, Tackle it Buttefree!" Ash commanded
"RAICHU USE THUNDERBOLT!!" Makoto commanded
Raichu's cheeks filled up with electricity as it prepares to attack Team Rocket.
"Raaaiiii."
"Mako, wait!" Ami cried "If Raichu uses thunderbolt while we are on a hot air balloon, we'll all get electrocuted!"
"Damnit!" Makoto cursed as Raichu stops
Butterfree continues to Tackle the chopper, but to no avail, Jessie laughed.
"Ha! That doesn't hurt," Jessie said "Doesn't even itch."
"Damnit!" Ash thought "I can't use stun spore because if I do, it will get blown away by their chopper's rotor blades! What the hell are we going to do?!"
Butterfree still tackles the chopper regardless and it doesn't want to give up on Makoto's Pink Butterfree and the gang Ash's Butterfree went from a shy lad to a knight in shining armor just like it's trainer Ash. The gang then came to a canyon then Makoto then hugs Ash again while waning not to crash.
"Ash, call out your Pidgeotto!" Minako said
"I can't!" Ash said "Just think how Butterfree would feel! It's trying it's hardest our there. Besides it wouldn't be fair to Butterfree."
The gang looks at Butterfree trying its heart out to stop Team Rocket, and relents Minako then understands as Makoto's Pink Butterfree is smiling at him for trying it's best to rescue all the Butterfree including her. Then The chopper leaves the way it came from.
"Thank you all for watching Team Rocket's Efforts." Jessie annouced "Well then, until our next performance look forward to it!"
"They're making a break for it!" Naru shouted
"Hey! Come back here!" Usagi shouted
"Butterfree! After it!" Ash commanded
"Full speed ahead, Rei!" Makoto snapped
"Right!" Rei said
As Ash's Butterfree zooms after them Our heroes follow Butterfree and the chopper to a rocky canyon area Butterfree, Usagi looked around for Ash's Butterfree as it was too far way to follow and Ami informed the gang that Ash's Butterfree was flying as fast as it could, most likely to save Makoto's pink Butterfree it likes. The gang was calling Butterfree's name and after some searching, they finally hear and find Butterfree.
"Oh, Butterfree!" Ash said "Are you alright?"
"What happened?" Makoto asked
Butterfree tells the group that he found the Team Rocket's hideout.
"Chu! Chu!"
"Is my Butterfree over there?" Makoto asked
"Ok, Lead us there, Butterfree." Ash said
"Everyone, I got an idea! Just to see how it's felt and done, how about we try.." Ami said then The Group gathers to hear Ami's plan and whispers something to everyone as the gang to huddle up.
Meanwhile, at a warehouse further in the canyon, Team Rocket is busy counting the Butterfree they stole since they are pleased of what they did.
"88, 89, 90!" Meowth counted
"It's such a big catch." Jessie said
"But isn't this the first time our plan ended in such a big success?" James asked
"We get it done when it's time to do so." Jessie said "That's our true strength."
"Something like that." Meowth said "When we report this to the bosses."
Meowth then fantasizes Giovanni sending his Persian away in exchange for Meowth and Queen Beryl pets Meowth and meows and as Meowth laughs he suddenly hear the windows break Ash, Naru Pikachu, Raichu, Luna and Artemis as well as the Sailor Guardians came in since they transformed before coming in and start copying Team Rocket's motto to see how they like it.
"What's going on?!" Jessie, James, Meowth said
"Prepare for trouble.." Ash said
"And you can make that quintuple!" Sailor Moon said
"To protect the world from devastation!" Sailor Mercury said
"To unite all people's within our nation!" Sailor Mars and Jupiter said "Unlike three loser villains who like to be annoying."
"To defend the beauty of truth and love!" Sailor Venus said
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" Naru said
"Together we blast off at the speed of light!" Sailor Chibi Moon said
"Surrender now, or in the name of the Moon we'll punish you!" Ash, Naru and the Sailor Guardians said
"Pi Pikachu!"
"Rai Raichu!"
Jessie, James and Meowth were deadpan and humiliated that our heroes mocked their motto "That was just too good to last."
"Let the Butterfree Go!" Sailor Moon shouted "It's their mating season. We won't let you get away with this!"
"Alright, Operation: Butterfree Romance Rescue, engage!" Sailor Jupiter said
"Shut the hell up!" Meowth shouted
Team Rocket sends out Koffing and Ekans to deal with the group.
"Finally, Today we won't let you interfere!" Jessie and James shouted
"Go Butterfree!" Ash cried
Then the Sailor Guardians as well as Naru sends out their Pokémon.
"Eevee!" Sailor Venus and Naru cried
"Oddish!" Sailor Mars cried
"Jolteon!" Sailor Jupiter called
"Jigglypuff!" Sailor Moon cried
"Staryu!" Sailor Mercury called
"Come on out!" All of them said
Then Oddish, The Eevee, Shiny Eevee, Jolteon, Jigglypuff and Staryu all materializes and immediately distracts Team Rocket as Ash's Butterfree zooms on past them.
"Pink Sugar Heart Attack!" Sailor Chibi Moon said
Her wand shoots hearts out at Meowth causing him to run away and then Sailor Mercury's Staryu's Tackle causes Team Rocket to run away as Butterfree tries to break the net open and save his beloved, causing her to admire his bravery and determination, until finally he charges up a powerful tackle, and just like That the net breaks and the all Butterfree escape including Makoto's Pink Butterfree. Then Sailor Mercury notices the other Butterfree escaping.
"Nice work!" Sailor Mercury congratulated
"Freedom! FREEDOM!" Sailor Venus Cheered
"Somehow or other, you guys do something!" Meowth said
"You don't have to tell me twice!" Jessie said "Ekans use bite!"
Ekans then lunged at Sailor Mercury's Staryu almost knocking it out but Staryu was able to counter it with a rapid spin, Then Ekans was knocked into Jessie
"Eevee! Quick attack!" Naru commanded
Naru's Eevee charged up for a quick attack and it attacked James' Koffing and it was knocked onto James then Sailor Jupiter sees that Team Rocket is distracted so she can open the warehouse door.
"Ok, everyone!" Sailor Jupiter said "Make a break for it!"
All the Butterfree fly out to freedom as Makoto's Pink Buttefree hugs Sailor Jupiter as she hugs her back then Team Rocket frantically tries to catch them including Ash's Butterfree.
"Oh no! They're getting away!" Jessie, James and Meowth cried
James tires to catch Ash's Butterfree only for Butterfree to tackle James and knocks him back, causing Makoto's pink Butterfree to blush over the act of bravery. Soon, Team Rocket takes to their chopper to try to capture the Butterfree again.
"Damn it, We're definitely not letting them get away!" Meowth cursed
James then gets in as the chopper takes off as our heroes arrive too late.
"Damn it!" Sailor Mars cursed "Don't these dumbasses ever give up?!"
"Damn!" Ash cursed
"Nope we don't!" Meowth said as he and Team Rocket's chopper races after the Butterfree "We'll make sure to recapture them!"
"Quick everyone!" Sailor Jupiter said "Onto the Balloon and after them!"
"Right!" Everyone said
"Meow!" Luna and Artemis said
"Pika!"
"Rai!"
Our heroes and Makoto's pink Butterfree take off in their hot air balloon in pursuit of Team Rocket then Sure enough, Team Rocket is seen pursuing the Butterfree flock, Meowth presses the green button to which activates their giant net again.
"Crap, They're doing it again!" Ash snapped
"Not if we have anything to say about it!" Sailor Jupiter said
"Pikachu!"
"Raichu!"
"What are you guys trying to do?" Ash asked
"I think they want to finish off Team Rocket." Sailor Jupiter said
Pikachu got on Ash's Butterfree and Raichu got on Makoto's Pink Butterfree and the 4 Pokémon charges at the chopper the two Butterfrees, Pikachu and Raichu fly closer to Team Rocket's confusion.
"What the hell are they trying to do now!?" Meowth snapped
"I think we better brace ourselves." James said
"Why?" Jessie asked
"Pika!"
"Rai!"
Pikachu and Raichu jumps at the chopper, landing on the windshield to the bewilderment of Team Rocket, then they both gives a smug look and give them a wink, and charges up an electric attack, to Team Rocket's horror.
"Pika..."
"Rai..."
"They're gonna zap us!" Team Rocket shrieked
Team Rocket's words get faster and faster as Pikachu and Raichu charges their attacks and releases it, the pressure was so much it caused the chopper to explode and sending Pikachu and Raichu flying until they're caught by the two Butterfrees while Team Rocket gets sent flying up in the sky.
"And I thought we succeeded this time!" Meowth said
"Crap, Crap, Crap!" James cired
"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" The three said as they lasted off
"We did it!" Ash cheered
"That's what you'll get for interfering with the Butterfree's love!" Sailor Moon said
"The operation was a success!" Sailor Mercury said
"That's right!" Naru said
Pikachu, Raichu and the two Butterfrees return to the group triumphant and the two mouse PokéBall into their trainers' Arms.
"Pikachu, You did it!" Ash congratulated
"Raichu, that was incredible!" Sailor Jupiter congratulated
"Pi Pikachu!"
"Rai Raichu!"
"Very nice job up there, both of you!" Sailor Venus cheered
Then Makoto's pink Butterfree approaches Ash's Butterfree then the two Butterfrees doing the courtship dance as Everyone watches in amazement and Ash and Sailor Jupiter then hugged one another and everyone celebrated their victory.
Later the sun begins to set, Ami, Chibiusa, Luna, Artemis, Ash, Makoto, Pikachu, Raichu, Rei, Naru and Usagi are on land once more then Ash's Butterfree and Makoto's Pink Butterfree dances again as they watch the heard of Butterfree fly to the sunset and cross the sea to go back to their own kind as Chibiusa tries so hard to hold in her emotions as her eyes start to tear up.
"Wow, looks like all the Butterfree are crossing the sea to go back to his own kind." Ash said
"Yeah..." Makoto smiled as her voice begins to break as she holds Ash's hand
"It's so beautiful." Rei said as her eyes are leaking with tears
"Ashy, Mako," Ami said quietly "If they both cross the ocean and have offspring to their own kind... that means goodbye to Butterfree."
"But... I really don't want it to be forever." Ash said
"Yeah, I really don't want to say goodbye!" Minako bawled as she starts to cry "Wah!!"
"Pikaa.."
"Rai.."
Ash then gets flashbacks of when he first caught Butterfree when it was a Caterpie, the day it evolved into a Metapod, the day it evolved into Butterfree then rasing it ever since, and Makoto remembered the day that she caught and Rescued the Pink Butterfree from a Fearow and rasing it ever since then back Makoto starts to tear up more as she hugged Ash more.
"Butterfree..." Usagi and Chibiusa said then they start to cry "Wah!"
"Butterfree, This is a great Butterfree, so take care of it for Ash and for me." Makoto sobbed as she is getting ready to cry.
"You're babies are gonna be beautiful..." Ami said while she covered her mouth and starts tearing up
"I know," Ash said while tearing up "I'll explain it properly to the others that you ventured out with a cute girlfriend and Mabye you both will come back someday. Goodbye Butterfree."
Ash's Butterfree begins tearing up as pink Butterfree calls for Ash's Butterfree Rei, Ami, Naru, Pikachu and Raichu are ready to cry along with Usagi, ChibiUsa and Makoto Butterfree takes off and joins his mate as they flew to the group laving our crying heroes saying goodbye to the couple.
"Goodbye, Butterfree!" Rei bawled "take care of each other! "
"You take good care of yourselves!" Ami cried as she begins to cry as she covers her mouth.
"Now you two be careful out there!" Naru bawled
Ash is unable to hold in his tears any further as Makoto starts crying and held Ash to lay on her chest.
"Butterfree!!" Ash cried while tearing up "I'll always remember you! Thank you for everything! Goodbye!"
"Pikachu! Pika!"
"Butterfree!" Makoto bawled "Take care of yourself!"
"Raichu! Rai!"
Butterfree looks back with tears in its eyes as he and its mate fly on they made promise to Both trainers that they will come back the girls and Ash are unable to hold in their emotions anymore so the girls ran towards Ash and Makoto while she pulled him closer and one by one they all hugged Ash while they start bawling and Pikachu hugged Raichu as they both started crying Butterfree and his mate fly off and vanish into the sunset with the rest of the flock until Finally, the flock is out of sight and the sun is close to set.
"They're...Gone." Ami sobbed as she wipped her tears and she hugged Ash once more
"You know, Ashy." Makoto said while tears in her eyes as she whipped them. "You and I raised both of our Butterfrees to have a lot of courage, and I think, you just proved you have a lot of courage, too. And you shown that throughout our journey."
"Letting a Pokémon go is hard for any trainer, but it just shows how much you care for it." Rei said while nuzzling on Ash "I'm proud of you."
"Thank you, everyone." Ash said
"Pikachu."
Good friendships last forever, even though friends don't always stay together. Helping Butterfree to grow, Ash just might have grown more and more himself. And continues to do so as well as Ami, Naru, Rei, Chibiusa, Minako, Makoto and Usagi then our heroes continue onto entering Route 10 and on the the Rock Tunnel as the Journey continues!
