Chapter 5
After breakfast and cleanup, Diana was given a proper tour of the lair and was amazed at how large it actually was. Of course, she already figured that it was large, considering the size of its residents. At the moment, she was meditating in the dojo with Splinter while the brothers busied themselves with training or recreational activities.
Having realized that Diana would likely be staying with them for quite some time, Donatello noted that she'd need a proper space to sleep in as the sick bay wasn't meant for long-term occupancy. Sitting down at his workbench, the genius turtle pulled out a grid notebook and began sketching a room design for her. Of course, he made a mental note to run his ideas by her first as he wanted her input, since it was going to be her room. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by an incoming call from Miss O'Neil:
"Hey April, what's up?"
*:Hey Dee, I just got a text from Mikey and he told me that you guys brought home a girl last night.:*
"We did. She's actually a fellow mutant."
*:Wait, wait, wait, is she the mystery creature that escaped ML Genetics?!:*
"Yea. Didn't Mikey tell you that in his text?"
*:No, he failed to mention that crucial little detail.:*
"Why am I not surprised to hear that," he joked while continuing to sketch in his notebook. "Regardless, I think you'll like her."
*:Well, if she's anything like you guys, I'm sure I will. By the way, what does she look like? Mikey only said that she resembles a goddess.:*
He smiled upon hearing that. "Well, he's not wrong. I mean, yea, she's aesthetically pleasing, what with her smooth, pearl-like scales and pale gray eyes that vividly express her various emotions_"
*:_Donnie? Do you have a crush on your new guest,:* O'Neil asked with a knowing smile in her tone, to which the purple-clad turtle lightly cleared his throat as he focused back on his sketch.
*ahem* "N-No, I just so happen to enjoy her presence and find her scientifically fascinating and easy to talk to. That's all."
*:You're a terrible liar, Dee.:*
'Sewer apples,' he mentally grumbled, knowing she was right. "_Can we change the topic, please," he asked in a flustered tone, feeling his cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
*:Alright. By the way, I was thinking of stopping by later for a visit. Would that be alright with you guys?:*
"Sure thing. I'll be sure to let the others know."
*:Thanks, Dee. By the way, I'd like to bring over some supplies for your new roommate.:*
"Oh, that's really thoughtful of you. I know she'll appreciate it. Also, while we're on that topic: do you, by chance, have any clothes she could borrow? She's currently wearing my sweater as it's the only thing I could find in my wardrobe that would comfortably fit her. I mean, I know Mikey has more clothes in his room_"
*:Ew, no! Don't let Mikey dress her up. I'll bring her some clothes to wear. I know I've got a few extra garments lying around in my closet. I just wish I knew what size she is.:*
"Well, if I had to guess, I'd say you both are roughly the same size. Although, she is a bit taller than you and some of her features are a bit larger than yours," he stated with a blush.
*:Are you saying she has bigger boobs than me?:*
"Uh, well, um_Yes_."
*:Nice. I'll be sure to include some sports bras for her then. In the meantime, I better write a list of supplies to pick up before I forget. I'll see you all in a few hours.:*
"Alright. See you later, April." With that, he ended the call and focused back on his sketch with a small smile lining his face.

-Later-
"Thanks for helping me carry the bags down here, guys."
"No problem, O'Neil. You know we're always ready to lend some extra muscle," Raph smirked as he and Mikey set the bags down on the kitchen table, to which the orange-clad turtle then began to rummage through a few of 'em:
"Yo, Angelcakes, what's with all the ladies clothes and accessories? Wait, are you moving in with us?!"
At his questions, she shook her head, "No. These are for your new roommate. I figured she could use some supplies."
"I'm sure she'll appreciate it," Raph exclaimed as they began putting away the groceries.
"Well, I certainly would if I was in her position. By the way, what's her name?"
"Wait, I didn't tell you in my texts," Mikey asked as he pulled out his T-phone and scrolled through their last conversation. "Oops. Sorry, April."
"It's fine," she waved it off with a smile as she handed Raph some cold items to be placed in the fridge/freezer. "To be fair, Donnie also forgot to tell me when I talked with him, and I completely forgot to ask."
"Meh, shit happens," Raph shrugged as they finished restocking the refrigerator, to which he then grabbed a can of Orange Crush soda and cracked it open. "But to answer your question: her name's Diana."
"Diana? That's a beautiful name."
"Yea, it suits her," Mikey agreed with a lovesick expression before Leonardo appeared:
"Hey, April. Long time no see."
"Hey, Leo. Your brothers here were just telling me about your guest."
"Oh really? Did they tell you that she came from ML Genetics?"
"Donnie told me," she answered with a smile just as the purple-clad turtle entered the vicinity:
"I told you what now," he asked with a smidge of confusion as he only caught the tail end of their conversation.
"That Diana came from ML Genetics," Mikey answered as he cleared the table and placed the bags of clothes and supplies in the living room, on top of the couch.
"Ah, yes, I did mention that," he noted and pushed his glasses up his nose while April emptied the two large paper bags of their contents and placed them atop the table. As she did that, Master Splinter entered the vicinity with a tall reptilian humanoid following beside him (with the assistance of crutches).
'Holy shit, she's gorgeous,' O'Neil mentally stated while taking in her appearance. Sure, the hoodie mostly covered her torso, but she could still make out her pale gray eyes and long ebony hair, as well as her pearl, ivory, and black scales, long tail, and clawed feet.
"Hello, April. It's good to see you again," Splinter greeted her with a warm smile as he stepped into the kitchen.
"Likewise. I hope you don't mind me stopping by at this short notice."
"Not at all, my dear. You are always welcome into our home."
"Thank you," she politely bowed her head before turning her attention to the female beside him, "Hello, you must be Diana," she offered her hand, to which the young mutant timidly shook it:
"And you must be April O'Neil. Forgive me if I seem a little wary."
"It's fine," she waved it off with a smile. "I don't blame you for being somewhat standoffish, seeing as how we just met. By the way, I brought you some supplies and an assortment of clothes to try on later; however, I wasn't sure what size you were. Also, there's Chinese takeout for everyone as well as groceries that have been put away in the fridge and pantry."
"Your generosity is much appreciated, April. Thank you," Splinter replied with a smile.
"Yea, well, you guys have done so much for this city: the least I can do is make sure you're stocked up for a couple days." Glancing over at the mutant female, April couldn't help but stare. Of course, she tried not to make it too obvious, but Diana noticed and emitted a sigh as she carefully sat herself down at the table and set the crutches aside:
"I can tell you have some questions for me."
"_Sorry. It's just that aside from Splinter and the guys, I've never had a one-on-one conversation with another mutant. Let alone, a female mutant. I'm just curious to know how you came to be."
"Then I recommend you take a seat and get comfortable because it's a long story."
