At Aquatic Ruins Zone
Soundtrack Play: Sonic Frontiers - Fishing Vibes
The heroes were trekking along through Aquatic Ruins Zone. Most of what they saw were the wild Chao life, playing and singing along.
"Woah. Who are these little fellas?"
"Chao. They're most commonly found in clean environments. Especially in gardens named after them. Our friend Cream has one just like them. Even her mom owns a farm ranch back in Floural Forest Village."
"They're so cuuuutte!"
"So this is what it's like to be out of the village huh?"
"Mm hmm! There's a lot more we can explore of as we go along. Memories are starting to flow in the more we continue. It's kinda neat having to show you guys more of what we're familiar with honestly." Tails said. A chao curiously approached Jaune to see if he was safe.
"Uhh? This Chao approached me. What does that mean?"
"Oh? That just means they likes you. If anything, they want to be friends with you."
"They? Do you mean-"
"Chaos are ambiguous. You call them any pronoun you want. She. He. They. It's your choice really."
"Huh. Interesting."
"Y'know? If the Chao really wants to stay with us. Should we call him ChaoNPR?"
"It sounds like something you shouldn't say in public. What about JNPao?"
"JAONPR? Out of everything I can think of. I think it's the better sounding name. What you think Amy?"
"I think it's a wonderful name Pyrrha. Just remember that it's diet consists of fruits."
"Noted."
"So? How's it been with you guys? Where did you all 8 come from?"
"We're from Remnant. Either you have someone like me and my sis, Yang, who were born around in Vale or you have someone like our friends that were transferred to Beacon Academy. Since what happened in South Island and after what me, my team, Sonic, Tails and Amy went through back in Little Planet, only to discover what's happening right now. All of us thought we should get help from everyone else."
"Oh. I've heard legends about it. How was it?"
"We managed to free and save the planet that the Death Egg mk.2 made it's prisoner in. We even trashed Metal and the robot versions of Team RWBY as well. It was a blast!" Sonic casually said (AN: I was not expecting Sonic 2 to take place after CD when they announced it with Origin's reveal. Please understand this as I'm working this and eventually start working [REDACTED]).
"Metal?! Robot versions of our friends?! Wow. That sounds awesome! I wish i could break their metal pipe legs..."
"So Rubes? Any chance what you meant you saw those people back in Emerald Hill?"
"Classmates from beacon. I thought they were nice but now, I don't know what to make of it. It feels weird."
"Weird huh? That Haruka chick looks a bit familiar."
"Why's that Kat?"
"I don't know but I felt like as if we've met her before."
"Maybe in another universe. Trust us on that one. It's hard to believe but trust us. Hey Knucklehead? How are you doing?" No response came from Knuckles.
"Uh? Knuckles? Sonic asked you a question. Is everything alright?" Ren asked. A bunch of Chaos were struggling to get a fruit above the tree up until the red echidna punched it. Leaving a hole and causing the fruit to fall down.
"Uhhhh?"
"Hey bud? Is it what happened after everyone left Chemical Plant?" Knuckles remained quiet.
"Just let him take his time. I'd rather not say anything to make him more upset." Tails' Miles Electric beeped
"Uh Tails? What's with all the beeping?"
"My machine is sensing something! Perhaps a friend in need of freeing? Maybe the Emerald even?" The beeping went faster and faster until until they heard jets slowly descending to the ground with smoke covering the air.

"Salutations!"
"Penny!"
"Long time no see Penny. Did you find any information on where the Chaos Emeralds are at?"
"I assume you've gotten them? There's at least 6 out of the 7 required to destroy the Death Egg."
"We have none. The emerald wasn't at Chemical Plant and Eggman's partners have already taken one back in Emerald Hill."
"Oh. That's quite unfortunate."
"We don't know where the Emerald is and we're at least 6 zones away from reaching the station of the Death Egg."
"6 Zones?!" Everyone but Sonic, Tails, Knuckles (who temporarily departed from the group) and Amy yelled
"Are we gonna get them in time?"
"We can get them right before the final zone back then, we can get them here."
"Putting stress on yourself like that?"
"Nah. If anything, it's a fun challenge. Even more fun since it's now a race to get them before Eggman's lackeys can get to them first."
"That is quite odd but considering our mission in freeing Little Planet went successful, the ratio of us winning seems possible."
"Now's that's what I'm talking about!" Sonic and Penny high fives each other before seeing the two people in their group.
"Oh? Who these two people that have joined you?"
"We're from Emerald Hill village. You call me Kat for short!"
"I'm Ikaruga, you must be Penny i assume?"
"Yep! It's nice to meet new people! Especially if they're friends with RWBY. Just letting you know that I'm an Android. Anything that is deemed evil such as the Grimm or Badniks shall be eliminated."
"Oh. Looks like we'll get along just well."
"Hey Penny? I hate to interrupt your greetings and all but what's the status of the other zones?"
"Oh! Let me pull out the map Tails gave me." She said before pulling out the map of Westside Island. Showing off the pictures of the 6 other zones. "You've already passed through Emerald Hill and Chemical Plant and we're in Aquatic Ruins. So far, it's still safe. Hill Top, Oil Ocean, Mystic Cave and especially Metropolis Zone are extremely dangerous with the former being the tallest zone and the others now have Eggman in control once more."
"That seems like fun. Now what about our friends. Have you seen them as well? We've already Arle and the flower squad of imperial japan."
"Nope."
"That figures." A loud whistle was heard far away from the group.
"Huh? Where did Knuckles go."
"I think he found something. Let's head to where he went." The group were looking which direction their friend went.
"Um? Did anyone saw where Knuckles went?" Weiss asked.
"Nope/nah ah/no." Weiss sighed.
"Should we start splitting up?"
"Well, it's the best we got."
"Alrighty, we'll take whatever path that takes us."
"Whoever's last is an giant talking rotten egg." Sonic said before leaving everyone behind as he raced towards wherever Knuckles was.
"H-Hey! No fair!" Ruby said before she started revving up for a SpinDash. Nora followed suit as the rest sighed before following them.
Soundtrack Play: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - Aquatic Ruins Zone
Team RWBY
Ruby wall run and wall jumped from platform to platform before running down a hill and destroyed a badnik on the way there. Her friends and sister managed to catch up with to the young huntress.
"Rubes, you almost left us behind."
"Sorry but I can't turn down a good race."
"Look at this way sis. If we stick together, we'll be the first ones to reach Knuckles." Yang said as she jumped and punched a tree that's tough enough to make a bridge out of.
"I need to ask why Sonic makes a competition out of almost everything."
"C'mon Ice queen. Regardless if the world is in danger or not, we all know Sonic wants to have fun and so do we when it comes to missions and such. Let's have fun while we're at it. Aight?" Yang said as drillbot badniks have popped out of the ground for a surprise attack. Blake sliced off their drill noses before grabbing and destroying them with her weapon. Flickies and other types of animals were set free.
"Hmm?"
"What's up Blake?"
"I spot a... is that a lightpost?" Blake said as the rest of the team stopped to see a starpost in the field. "Why is that doing here? Shouldn't be in an area far less rural than here?"
"What in the?" The team stopped to see why a star post was here. Yang touched it as it gave her a huge surge of energy.
"HOOO BABY! I FEEL PUMPED UP!"
"Yang? Are you feeling good?"
"GOOD?! I'VE NEVER FELT THIS BETTER IN MY LIFE!" She yelled in excitement before performing a super peelout and ran off.
"Just as she gave out that speech..."
"To be fair, she did said we'll have fun while saving the world."
"You got a point there. Let's just get to Knuckles and her before she does something absolutely stupid." Weiss said before RWB went off to follow Yang.
Katsuragi, Ikaruga and Penny
The trio went up and down through many loops before jumping onto the waterslide. Katsuragi having the best time of her life as the three jumped out and continued running.
"So Penny? Any chance you know where Knuckles went?"
"Yep! I'm already getting signals of life as we speak."
"Neat!"
"That said. I do want to ask you a question."
"What is it?"
"Why are you two so big." The two friends were confused what Penny said before realizing what she meant. They started to blush.
"Uh? What do you say that?"
"Y-y-yeah! There's several meanings of what that term actually means! I was wondering if you were asking our hair, our outfits, our-"
"By any chance you grew them?" The blushing started to become more redder.
"WHY ARE YOU ASKING THESE QUESTIONS!?"
"Just wondering. I want to know more about human life and i thought it be interesting to ask-"
"NO MORE QUESTIONS! OH LOOK! THERE'S SOME BAD GUYS! LET'S TRASH THEM ALREADY!" Katsuragi said as she jumped and kicked the Drillbot towards Ikaruga where she then sliced it off with her Katana. Penny struck the Egg pawns with the swords coming out of her back. "WOAH! YOU COULD DO THAT!"
"Remember what I told you earlier about me being an Android."
"Oh right. Duh." The blonde girl said before doing a multi-kick sweep, launching and sending the Egg Pawn off. Penny activated the thrusters from her feet and performed an afterburner peel out. Flying circles around Eggman's robots before grabbing Ikaruga as she and her destroyed them. The trio then ran off to where Knuckles was.
Nora
Nora screamed in excitement as she rode one of Eggman's badniks before eventually jumping off, pulling out magnhild and slamming it forward, making it crash into a wall as she ran passed by it. A flicky came out of it as Nora waved at the small creature as her way to say "your welcome". She then saw a huge wave of the badniks she rode.
"Time to do this now!" The huntress shot out a grenade and then switched to the hammer mode. Slamming the grenade as she was launched into the air. The shockwave of the grenade caused the robots to explode. She let out the biggest smile as she performed air tricks as she grinded on the vines. A ivory wisp followed her. "Hey buddy! How are you doing this fine day?" She asked as she spotted a trail of rings that led to another path. The Ivory wisp entered Nora's body, making her feel an energy she hasn't felt.
LIGHTNING!
Nora zapped and light speed dashed towards the rings that lead her to another path. The huntress found herself in a ruin looking area before spotting something bright and colorful that caught her eye. She walked to where the light was. The light revealed itself to be one of the Chaos Emeralds.

Soundtrack Play: Sonic Frontiers - Quest (Melody - completed)
"OOOH!" She took the Emerald and did a little victory dance before showing the Emerald off. "With the jewel in my hand, I truly am the Queen of the Castle." She giggled as she put the Emerald away and went outside to where Knuckles went.

Team JPR, Tails and Amy
Tails carried Amy above the water. Jaune, Pyrrha and Ren were in shock by the fox's strength to carried his friend without even breaking a sweat. Tails and Amy casually waved at them before landing on dry ground and went running. Unknown to them was that they passed through one of the doctor's security sensors that were hidden in the pillars. It shot out arrows and was about to hit the heroes but both Jaune and Pyrrha blocked them with their shields.
"Thanks!" The two groups took different paths with Tails and Amy taking upper path filled loops and floating platforms while JPR took the lower path that had slopes. The latter of which passed through a giant hollow log. A new badnik type were flying around before spotting the hunters and huntress. It resembled that of a Fly.
Much like the last badnik. It's the one based of the pest no one likes - Whisps
A small group of Whisps followed and swarmed the team. Ren and Pyrrha quickly shot them down one by one with the last whisps left as Jaune sliced it. A smaller whisp arrived and started bothering the hunter. Annoyed by the badnik, he clapped and destroyed it. A small flicky flew out of it's prison and saw the hunter stepping it out for good measure.
"There!" JPR went on their to find Knuckles. Tails and Amy, meanwhile, were going through the platforms of the watery treaches. While the yellow fox had an easier time going through this, he had to protect his friend from the dangers lurked beneath it. Chompers were there obviously but another variation of them started to pop up from below.
Biting harder - Chop Chops
These variations of the chomper badniks were much more durable than their original counterparts. Amy swung her hammer against them to avoid being a snack for these robots, even combo-ing one as it got close to her. One chop chops launched itself into the air and almost went into the kill, hadn't Tails warned her about it. She struck it as it went flying off to a pillar in the ceiling. The amount of force the pink Hedgehog dealt to it caused to crumble before falling down. Her friend came to the rescue and saved her from being crushed.
"Thanks."
"No problem." The duo spotted JPR running and followed them from there.
Sonic
Soundtrack Ended
Sonic blazed through Aquatic Zone as if it was nothing. Despite this being the least favorite zone out of Westside because of his fear of water, he manages to brave the zone enough for him to be here. Jumping, homing attacking, wall running and SpinDashing through various obstacles.
"Where did that knucklehead went..." He said before looking at a slope that went up. He ran to that and boosted. Being sent up to the air, he spotted his friend from above. The hedgehog let out a confident smirk and airboosted to where Knuckles was. He landed stylishly and walked to his friend's direction. "Hey bud. Finally got over that anger of yours?"
"I managed to find one of the capsules here."
"Sweet! Did anyone else arrived?"
"No. You're the first person to get here."
"Huh. Looks like I've beaten them to here. Can you tell where that Capsule is?"
"Of course." Knuckles led Sonic to where what friend of their was. "Here you go. I'm not sure who it is that's inside this thing but what I do know there's plenty of them to go around."
"Did you managed to go on the slide?"
"Er..."
"C'mon Knuckles. We all know you wanted to go that slide once that Egghead's war was done. Trust me, I won't tell anyone that you had fun finding our friend with that slide."
"...Yes..."
"That's what I'm talking about." They suddenly heard footsteps and thrusters heading their way.
"We have arrived to our destination!"
"J-j-jeez... Does this Android have to question everything about us?" Katsuragi said. Her and Ikaruga felt so embarrassed and fluttered of what questions Penny had for them.
"Oh? What happened?"
"Well, I've asked them various questions such as how they could grow so big and-" Sonic bursted out laughing. The girls were embarrassed even more flustered. Knuckles, however, didn't understand what his friend was laughing about.
"I don't get it. What are you laughing about?"
"O-o-oh nothing. Sorry for that girls, I didn't mean to offend you two. I just find it funny that my friend here just asked you those questions."
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable with those questions. I'm still curious about the world and i do want to know more of it."
"(She reminds me of Chip in a way.)"
"Noted..." A massive boom was heard, along with yelling. Group then looked up to see Nora was skydiving to where they were at before hitting the button of the capsule.
"That was fun... I'm just gonna rest here for a bit..." She said.
Soundtrack Play: Shinobi (PS2) - Fate
Within the capsule that finally released was Joe Musashi himself. A legendary Ninja from the Oboro clan, hailing from Oboro village in Japan and is one of the top favorites from AGES. Due to what Eggman and his new allies have caused, He meditated to pass the time. He opened his eyes to see Sonic, Knuckles, Katsuragi, Ikaruga and Penny in front of him. He stood up and got out of the prison Eggman had set up for him.
"Sonic."
"Joe. How's it been my guy? Mad that Eggman took you and everyone else?"
"All I know is that what the doctor did was unacceptable and dishonorable."
"Yeah. We know. Me and bunch of our friends are currently rescuing everyone else from AGES."
"No way..."
"JOE MUSASHI?! WE'VE HEARD MANY STORIES OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY BUT WE DIDN'T EXPECT TO MEET YOU IN PERSON!?"
"Mmm?"
"Oh. They've recently joined us. They're from Emerald Hill Village."
"I see." Joe said as the Katsuragi was a blown out fangirl. Ikaruga, while not displaying anything type emotion to remain cool, was also geeking out. Tails, Amy and JPR arrived to the scene to see what what's happening right now.
"Tails? Who's that?"
"That's Joe Musashi. Our friend back in AGES. Looks like Eggman got him too."
"How many are there from AGES exactly?"
"It's about almost the same as it is with Smash. I said almost because Master and Crazy Hand do things that I'm shocked that they could get. Although we do have this certain level of coolness and variety that Smash lacks, so that checks out. Don't tell anyone that I said that, alright?" Amy playfully teased. Ren and Pyrrha spotted Nora rising up from the ground
"Nora? Where were you?"
"Oh. Just some Badnik smashing, running through loops, grabs some rings and then... this" She pulled up a Chaos Emerald she found. "One of those creatures zapped me to some random location and ended up finding this!".
Soundtrack Ended
"Oh wow! That's great Nora! We managed to find that before Eggman did!"
"By any chance those "creatures" you come across were the wisps?"
"Is that what that was?"
"Yep. They help you with whatever situation you're in."
"Even in fights?! Oh how i wanted to electrocute those robots so bad..."
"NOOOOOO! THE L NEVER FELT SO REAL!" Yang shouted and fell to her knees. She was the first to arrive but her team was the last one to be here before the rest of them catched up. Ruby comforted her older sister who had to experience her first time taking an L in a race.
"There there Yang. We gotta take those sometimes... Is that energy from the checkpoints making you feel weird?"
"So what's the situation?" Weiss asked.
"Saved Joe Musashi and Nora founded a Chaos Emerald."
"So we just have to take the one Eggman has and we'll have 5 left. The only problem is I'm sure he's having it placed somewhere secured..." Blake took a fascination with the legendary Ninja himself. Seeing what the length of the scarf was, the weapons he was carrying and wondered if his outfit could blend well into the environment.
"Okay. Now that we've freed our friend and got one of the Emerald. We just need to head to-"
GROW! The pillars became more wood-like, the waters stopped pouring out, Chaos and Animals left out of fear and the forest life surrounded overgrew. Now becoming Jibberish Wood Zone.
"Oh. It doesn't matter. What else can it go wron-"
"DON'T-" Everyone except Joe said to Sonic before the whole area was shaking. It split apart and a bunch of new enemies rose up from the ground. They weren't Grimm but they're were still dangerous... and way more goofier than any of the other enemies they had faced before
"Oooh..."
"Finally. Something new for once."
"We may have lost but I'm sure we'll definitely win this round." Yang stood up and cocking her gauntlets.
"Not if I beat you again."
"That's not gonna happen." Yang looked at Sonic before looking at the enemies in front of them. Her eyes were now on fire because of how pump she is to have a friendly competition with him.
"Now that's the sis I like to see."
"Hoo boy. I'm not sure where this is going."
"Does it matter really?"
"Ayo? Let me join in as well!
"Me too!"
"Something tells me we're gonna be in for a ride Katsuragi."
"Like Ren said, does it matter? Let me be part of this as well!"
"If this is what helps you get back at the doctor for what he did to us, so it will be.
"Seems like the party is already starting. Let's rock!" The heroes blasted off at high speed. Blowing their enemies away to what the next destination will be.
Joe Musashi has been freed and both him and Penny Polendina have temporarily joined up! Onto the Next act. Jibberish Wood Zone!

Hey! Happy New Years everyone. So uh? Originally, i was supposed to come back to this once I'm on vacation and i did. However, i was relaxing a liiittle bit hard and i just wrote this on the side whatever i can. What doesn't help was that a few weeks back, i was utterly sick and that prevented me from writing more of this.
I have fully recovered and I've been slowly but surely getting this done. In fact, i was supposed to upload this yesterday but it was getting late and i wanted to sleep early so i don't have to wake late and head to work without breakfast.
That's all i have to say for now. I hope you guys had a great new years day and i hope this year starts off better than it was in 2022. See ya then.
