Loneliness,that was only in my mind. After the snow blight incident,I couldn't remember what had happened to the family. But that child what she said still made my heart ache. I didn't tell Puck about this incident. Puck who was the only one I had properly talked. The first person I met after I woke up from the ice. What had happened before that I still couldn't remember no matter how hard I tried.
"It's the witch! Witch! Witch! Don't come near! Go away!Witch! " The girl screamed with all her might and scream go louder and louder.
I woke up from my nightmare my eyes groggy as I recalled the nightmare my heart ached. The girl's scream echoed in my my mind. As I got out of my bed which is just a stnr on which some cloth are put to make it comfortable for sleep. As I got out of my tree house which is surely no mine as Puck helped me to find the house when I woke up. It is a well built as it was curved in a giant tree. My bed is also curved in the wood.I opened the door and it was still night.
"It's still night huh" I muttered and then
Booom!
I heard a noise it wasn't a mabeast screech or a scream. I sounded like an explosion. I thought that I should go investigate but Puck had said not to leave at night. I decided not to go,but curiosity got me and I started walking there. I am least scared as I can protect my self my using magic as Puck taught me. After few steps and I passed the elves that are frozen. I still think about why I only got out of ice. I walked the only sound now I can hear is just snow crunching below my feet I can see the mist , no mist is an understatement I think it is...yes smoke?
Well anyway I walked in the smoke I saw a big hole in the snow ground I charged up my mana as I prepared to fight a mabeast. What is saw in the hole is a boy whose clothes way too little for him and they are torn too. His legs are short a bit not too much his were well I can't tell as his eyes are closed. But the most eye-catching feature of him is his elf-ears and silver hair. I think that his eyes colour may also be amethyst then we would be same looking! That aside,he is injured because of ice ,he has bruised I quickly without thinking went in or jumped in I took the boy and carried him in a bridal carry and using magic melt the ice enough that I can climb the slope easily.
I started walking toward my house. After I reached there I laid him on my bed and started healing him. I checked if there are any severe wounds but thankfully there aren't. I sat beside him as i waited for him to wake and thinking that finally I can have a conservation with someone as only people I have talked with is Puck and the village whom I trade with for food. What should I say? Maybe ask him about the weather well the weather is always cloudy and snowing but I can try that
I woke up from what I can only say a long sleep. I still hadn't opened my eyes. I can feel a that is pretty chilly but there is also a blanket on me and I can hear a cracking sound maybe its fire? I can feel my body is aching a bit. I think that I should lay here a bit but I can't for some reason as I opened my eyes i can see a ceiling a wooden perhaps. As I tried to get up what I saw made me freeze. An Angel!? The first thing I see after a wake up , no maybe second , whatever the first person I see after I wake up is a beautiful girl!? She has silver hair from the angle I can see she has amethyst eyes.I think she hasn't noticed me yet and she is adorably drinking a soup maybe?Ahh she is so cute!A blush formed on my face.
"Huh,are you awake?" I guessed she noticed me.
"Yeah" I replied.
"are you okay?does it hurt somewhere?oh I forgot will you eat something?"the girl talked fastly and as she took another bowl to put some stew or soup whatever it is and offered me.
I took it and "that's too many questions and yeah I am okay."
"That's good and drink it patiently it hot,so it may burn your tongue"
"Thanks"
"Oh I forgot it , sorry it was rude of me I should introduce myself. My name is Emilia just Emilia and yours?"she asked I mean Emilia.
"my name,huh?" I subconsciously put my hand on my forehead to think and said "My name is Subaru just Subaru, nice to meet you" I said.
"Nice to meet you too."
"So where am actually?" I asked her.
"Oh you are in my house in the elior forest."
"Elior forest?" I muttered.
"Yes ..it's a forest where everything is frozen."
Well that explains why is it so cold even though there is thick blanket and a fire near me. Judging by her clothes,how can she be living like that?doesn't she get cold!?
"Can I ask why?" I asked. I don't want to cause her any problems just by asking.
"I don't know myself either. I also like you woke up from the ice a one or two months ago" she said.
"Hm,I was frozen in ice?!" I exclaimed , I didn't know that I was frozen in ice , I wonder how long has it been. How am I even alive.
"So, how long have I been frozen?" I asked.
"Well I don't even know , I don't even remember anything before I woke up from-"before she could finish her sentence another voice popped in.
"Hey!Lia how has it been!?" A kitten said ,wait is it even a kitten a cat maybe how even is it flying and talking like it's a normal thing! Ahh! This is so confusing!
"Lia who is he ?"it asked while looking at Emilia and when it looked at me it was a face of pure disgust ,fury,hatred and confusion?
"Oh Puck , this is Subaru and he got out of ice a a few hours earlier and when I suddenly heard a Loud sound , I went to investigate it and found him full asleep how I found he is a elf was because of his ears you see." Emilia explained to Puck.
Oh I see now this explains it that I am a elf that was frozen in ice and I somehow got out it and this flying cat is named or called Puck.
"And Subaru this is Puck a spirit ,let me explain Spirits are-"
"Are magical beings that use atmospheric mana to for use" I completed her sentence.
"Wow Subaru I didn't thought you would know that!" Emilia exclaimed.
"Yeah I didn't thought I knew that either" I shyly accept the fact.
"Emilia didn't I told you to no go alone at night and specially bring a stranger along?" Puck fatherly scolded her.
"I know that but curiosity got over me and I couldn't leave a fellow elf like in the woods filled with Mabeast" Emilia sheepishly said.
"Emilia if I got out ice then are there other elves who have also gotten out?" I asked. Man this is getting a bit complicated as many questions are popping in my mind and if Emilia knows some answers maybe I can assess my situation and see what I can do now.
"No,the only elf is you and me that have gotten out of ice." She said sadly.
"Oh,so we're you like me when you got out ice?" I asked .
"No,I didn't got out like that it was Puck that helped me and Puck helped me to get out of ice like that." she said.
"Oh ,wait a minute if you are only one that got out of ice then are you living alone and how are you even able to live with food?!" I surprisedly asked like a little child.
"The source of food is the nearby village whom I trade pyroxin crystals for food and yes, I live alone but Puck is with me so I am totally!"She hurried said so I don't feel sad for her
"So why don't you live with the villagers then?" I asked.
"Well..."
"If you don't wanna say you shouldn't you know I am not forcing you" Now I hurriedly said so I don't hurt her by my question.
"It's because they are scared of me" she sadly said.
"Why?" I wonder why someone would get scared of a girl that is so cute.
"It's because I look like the witch of envy" she said.
"Subaru are you scared of me too?" she asked.
"Huh,why would I get scared by you who is so cute like an angel and specially who helped me "I told her.
A blush formed on her face
"Subaru,You dunderhead!"she shyly told
"Huh,guess i am a dunderhead" I said.
"Well enough with the flirting you two and Subaru I am impressed how you were able convert your thoughts into words and where were you exactly when I went with Emilia to clean the statues I didn't see a single face like yours especially your eyes" Puck said to me.
"I found him in a hole iIwas also surprised that I never saw a statue of you" Emilia added.
I replied "how would I know that I was frozen in the first place and when I got out I was unconsious"
"Wait a minute you can read my mind!?" I asked to Puck
"Yes , for your information I am a great spirit so I can easily read your mind." Puck said grinningly.
"Hey that's a breach of my privacy , my violation of my rights!" I exclaimed. I don't know why but I feel like I said a line a person I know says a lot.
"Heh what's done is done. I can't do anything about it" Puck smirked and said.
"Subaru do you know who froze the forest or something before the whole forest got frozen?" Emilia asked.
"Oh yeah I remember about Aunt-"and then a suddenly my head started aching real hard and I fell from the bed screaming in pain.I clutched my head like it was splitting
"SUBARU YOU OKAY! , PUCK CHECK HIM!" Emilia exclamed. I can hear Emilia's scream as she crouched down to check on me. But as I looked at Puck he had a face like seeing the animal suffering helpless, his looking at me unempathaticaly. "Don't worry, he's just having a headache"
"DON'T JOKE AROUND PUCK! CAN YOU HEAR HIS SCREAM.!"
"Emilia more or less you should calm down and think rationally."
"You are right about that." As Emilia had realised what she was doing.

"Are you okay" Emilia softly asked.
"Yeah, thanks for that" I said.
"I am sorry that I made you hurt like this." Emilia said as she helped me to get up I can her tears welling up in her eyes.
"Nah,it's okay it was just a headache" I calmly replied.
"I surely can say it wasn't a headache have you heard your it made my heart stop you know" Emilia said.
"Ah, sorry for that" I apologized.
For some reason few minutes passed in silence as i just stared at the cause I made,it's great that I ate the soup or stew before that or it would have been fallen over. And more minutes passed.
"Well, I will be going to clean the statues so you Subaru you should rest now and Puck you can do whatever you want but let Subaru rest for now, okay?" Emilia said as she decided to break the silence and as she got up from the bed.
"Can I help?" I asked.
"Absolutely not it's been a while since you have woken but also got injured so you should rest now" Emilia explained like a mother.
"I am completed fine see" As i got up from the bed and started doing some movements.
"But..." Emilia muttered.
"Well if I don't help then it will hurt my manly Pride that I am just resting here and you are there doing work" I explained plus I cannot rest just here for free.
"Um ...ok but don't do anything reckless" Emilia said with a small smile.
"Yes lets go to work!" as i started heading out for door.
As Emilia opened the door I can see white well it is snow so it will be white. Outside of the house there are stairs that are well built. and there is also a plain ground which is covered with as all the trees are covered in snow in every direction there is white. I am amazed by such a scenery after climbing down the stairs a black orb appeared I don't know why but I can feel a bit familiarity with it just like Emilia but it also felt like a bond between us.
"A spirit?" Emilia said.
"Yeah also a shadow spirit that's rare"Puck added.
"So that's a spirit looks like." I don't know why I said that even though I have a seen a spirit that is Puck.
It started revolving around me I became a bit careful but I can hear a voice saying out my name? As i started looking around to know who calling me.
"Who's there?" I asked.
"Subaru the voice who you are listening to is the spirit's voice ,it's seem that you have an affinity for spirits." Puck explained.
Now I can hear the voice clearly. "Subaru can you hear me its me remember" the spirit said.
"Oh yeah Kuro? hey guys can you hear him?" I said.
"Yes I can hear him" Emilia said. "I can also hear him since I am spirit too and I think Emilia also has a spirit affinity.
"Oh thats why.." " hey you remember i am your contract spirit Kuro remember before the forest froze?" Kuro said.
"No I don't remember you much nor before the forest froze but I can feel the familiarity you know" I said as i didn't want to make more people or in this case my spirit friend sad.
"Oh,well i think you will have your memories after some time , and the fact i am friend I will help in any way I can ok?" Kuro happily said.
"Wow you sure recovered from you sadness fast."
"Well even though I am bit sad that you don't remember me i am happy that I was able to found you really happy."
"What do you mean by that" I asked. "Well nothing what we're doing with Emilia.?"He asked.
"You know me!? Emilia asked being a bit surprised.
"Yeah I know you but now I can't tell you much." Kuro said , the way he was saying I can surely say that if he had a face he would had sad smile.
[Subaru, you are surprising me more and more having the warlock's scent and same appearance as him and even has a spirit contacted spirit especially a shadow one. I know this spirit when I was patrolling the forest I had seen him roaming around trying to found something I had thought of teaching Emilia spirit arts so I had thought it will be helpful but when I ask him he flatly rejected me. Subaru I have to keep an eye on you try to do something to Emilia and I will burn you to ashes. ]
Ahh Puck is making that face again this is the third time i think i have to be beware of Puck, He can be.a threat to me i have a git feeling about this.
"So let's start our work shall we, Emilia-Tan!?" I asked.
"Tan what does tan mean?" Emilia asked while tilting her head cutely.
"Oh since we are friends i think it would be nice to give nickname to each other right?" I said.
"Oh ok as long as it doesn't mean a bad thing. Right,..Baru" Emilia-tan said there was also a blush on her face.
"Ye-yeah" A blush had also been on my face as i heard my nickname.
"Le-lets start cleaning sha-shall we?" Emilia-tan said.
Time passed as Emilia-tan and i cleaned the statues. We also talked about many things like Mabeast etc. Puck had gone to bring some spirits to teach Emilia. After cleaning the statues Puck returned. After Puck taught Emilia and me about ice magic and other things. He also told me that I have shadow magic but it only does debuffs.
"Hey no need to be sad you can use shadow magic offensively too you know." Kuro said as he tried to cheer me up.
"How so?" As my excitement for magic rose up again. "Close your eyes and do what I say ok?"
"Ok" " okay so now closed your eyes and now try to create a black crystal and say minya" He said . I imagined it I don't now why but I think i have already done this and for casting "Minya" I can feel the mana in the air and as I opened my eyes I could see a black arrow or crystal hovering ahead of my hand. It was shining.
"You see since you have contract with me I was able to give you mana of atmosphere."
"Oh interesting"
"Now try to shoot it" as i relaxed my palm the crystal flew from my hand hit the rock.
"Amazing!"
After practicing magic and trying to better our I mean my Emilia-Tan's aim as Kuro was like a expert aiming and shooting.
"Well since we have done our magic practice and cleaned the statues, its time to explore the forest." Emilia said as she brought a paper with her from the house.
"What's that?" I asked. "Oh this is a map on which I know the places like see yesterday this is the place where I found you and this is a place where I get pryoxene crystals." Emilia explained me all of that and showed all the places she has found by locating them on the map and the places had quite funny names.
"So let's explore!" I also got excited. When I and Emilia started walking, well.. we starting walking in opposite directions.
"Subaru where are you going we are going there."Emilia said like a mother saying to a child that it is going on a wrong direction. "Can't we go this side?" I also asked like a child.
"I don't want to go there that's why I will explore there tomorrow." She said. "Hey! Can't we just go at different directions in this way we can explore more places in less time and I think Kuro is with me so I will be safe from Mabeast. How about that?"
"But I only have one map. "Emilia sadly said. "hey no worries I will memorize the landmarks and help you draw on the map let's meet again at the house to discuss and mark the map okay?
"Yeah be safe" Emilia smiled and said "You too."
And then we set off to explore new places. As I walked the only sound I can hear is Emilia-Tan's shoes crunching on the snow which I got from Emilia or else I would get frostbite.
"Hey Kuro, if I have forgotten many things then how do I know how to talk? And other things like spirit and magic mana?" I asked Kuro a question that has in my mind for sometime. "I don't know either the fact the Emilia and your condition is same they things like talking and other things but don't have any memories of the people who you knew."
"Hey! If you know about who froze the forest and other things why don't you tell me?" I asked. "When a right time will come I will tell you okay?" He said. "Can't you just te-" "No"
"At least let me complete my sentence, so if you aren't telling me this then can you say how many have I and Emilia been frozen and thing you telling about 'finally I found you' ?
"Oh that, ok I will explain it I think you have been frozen for 100 years " "100 years! Thats too much why didn't I die so!?" I exclaimed.
"Are you happy or sad that you haven't died yet? And let me explain since you are elf and the there is a chance that you have been frozen like Emilia since before the permafrost of Elior you and Emilia were still I think 8-9 years old but I don't know how you and She grew like 15 years. And you see I was trying to find everywhere in the forest but I couldn't found you , our contract wasn't broken which meant you were still alive. But I couldn't find you there were no trace of yours. But I didn't lose hope and today I finally found you ,the fact that you and Emilia don't remember anything it sure hurts me. I tried communicating with other spirits but nothing got out of that but I am happy that I finally found you."
"Wow that sure touched my heart you know." I joked. "Hey here I am saying something important and you are joking with me." " And didn't you found Emilia frozen if you searched the entire forest?"
"Oh Yeah I found her but I wasn't able to do anything to unfreeze her." Kuro said.
"Oh " "and Subaru I forgot to tell but you minya carefully if you use it in yourself it won't hurt but if you use it on a living being it crystalize the whole body and shatter it."
"Thanks for advice." "So I will be going out for now I will meet you afterwards be careful okay?"
"Yeah and you too" I replied with a pretty useless thing to say to spirit well anyway.
Walking after some minutes we reached a cliff where the height below is 3-4 trees long and instead of trying to climb down and I started returning home. It's been 15 minutes of walking I think I have walked far enough and I think I can say to Emilia that after walking a bit small trees we will find a cliff.
"You are going back?" I heard a familiar voice. "You returned?" I replied "yeah my work was done so I came and don't you wanna explore further?" This voice was of my spirit friend Kuro. "Yeah I have walked far enough." I replied.
"But you walked pretty less" He said. " I know I just don't want to walk further." "That's pretty slothful you know." I replied with " yeah probably." And that's how our exploration was over.
When I returned there was no one there it seems that Emilia-Tan has come yet let's wait inside and I went in the house and I sat on the bed and started waiting for Emilia and after 10 minutes she came.
" I am back!" A silver bell like voice came. " Welcome back." I said. " It seems that i have come late?" She asked. I replied "no I just came early after seeing a cliff on my way."
"Well Emilia-Tan do you have any food I am a bit hungry." I asked. "Yes I think we have some nuts to eat let me see." As Emilia opened the jar and her face become a bit "Subaru I think we have to bring the nuts from the village and mine some pyroxene too. " Emilia said as she pick up her jacket.
"Let's go then and why are you wearing that jacket?" I asked. "Oh thats because they are scared of me" she sadly said. "Sorry , I forgot , so let me buy those nuts for you and also let's buy some clothes for me too."
"Yes we have to buy that too let's go."
And then we took off for mining the crystals which how to mine them Emilia taught me and then we set off for the village. As the children playing with the snow saw us they started saying something softly and started returning to their homes because of my elven ears I was able to hear what they had said it think it is "hey it's the witch lets go back". I think Emilia-Tan was also able to hear it as well. Just after few steps everyone had started returning to their respective houses. It just some seconds the whole village looked deserted. Not a single person nearby. And then Emilia led the way to the shop.
The shop wasn't much big but not very small either it was like Size of Emilia's house area, I mean the room and it's half if I include the counter and a space to enter in which 10 people could easily stand comfortably. The shopkeeper was a middle aged man with beard.
"Please give us the usual." Emilia said which keeping the pouch of pryoxene crystals on the counter.
"Also please give us some clothes too for my size and a coat like her." I added.
"Ok" the shopkeeper said while passing me a glance once in a while putting the nuts,things for cooking and a clothes, he also added the jacket which is said.
"Can you give us some cloth piece and a needle and thread too here's the crystals for that. " I said. "Yes of course."
And in some minutes he gave all items we needed and we thanked him in unison. As we left. Emilia was right the village surely was not friendly it's not like they attacked us or anything but mutters I heard still made my blood boil. Saying things like "It's the witch again." "It seems she has bought someone." "Maybe his disciple or a slave." "When will she leave the village alone?" "What a poor thing".
My blood was boiling as I was about to open my mouth to say something my hand was grabbed by someone. As I looked at the owner of the hand , Emilia she had look clearly saying "please don't do anything." I obeyed that I walked without saying anything.
After we leaved the forest Emilia broke the silence " I am sorry that you and to hear that, next time I will alone by myself to bring the food you don't have to come." "Are you kidding me didn't you heard what they were saying, didn't you?" "Yes but if they hate you just because you are associated with me, I won't feel good about that.
"Don't worry about that I don't care who hates me or not , the main thing that really ticks me off is the fact they are scared because of your looks and what they said to me, I mean they could have called me a cool name like a Warlock or something who would like witch's disciple or a slave" I tried to joke.
"Subaru that's definitely not funny you know." Emilia said as she puffed her cheeks.
"I guess it's not."
"Subaru you know you can just go to the village and say that you have escaped from the witch I am sure they will give you shelter and food.
"Emilia-tan, you've got something wrong let me correct you and I am not staying with you just because of you gave me food and shelter , you are the first person to help me especially when anyone may have just leaved me there and the fact that you are keeping care of the statues even though you did nothing to them and staying here is pretty kind you know."
"How can you asked that I may haven't done anything to forest , I was the only to wake up."
"Well that right but I also have gotten out of ice even its possible that I may have done something but even though remember I won't ever abandon you and just like today if we help each other , there is a chance we will find a way to thaw the elves out of ice."
"Promise?" Emilia asked with her hand ahead.
"Yeah its a promise." I grabbed the hand with a smile.
"Thank you very much Subaru." Emilia said with a bright smile.
A blush had naturally formed on my face but I didn't tried to hide and smiled myself bright and this was the first time I have seen her smile so brightly today I will always keep that smile locked in my memory.
The rest of the walk was pretty much silent while talking a bit about pyroxene crystals and other things. After 2 hours of walking we had finally reached the home.
"Hah I am tired!" I said as I slept on the bed. "You sure look like that." Emilia said with a smile.
Now..let's see the clothes we have bought I checked the clothes I had bought they were a bit big for but it was okay for that, a fit cloth can be problem too. The clothes I had bought were pair of shirts with full sleeve and a pair of pants. A coat like Emilia was also there. For the bed we had bought a blanket and matress like cloth that would enough for the hard ground.
"Oh so you have came back from shopping,huh?" Puck who has been disappeared for a while said that.
"Where have you been?" I asked.
"Some work i had just completed it." Puck said with a shrug.
"Oh I think it time to make a new bed now Subaru can you bring those wood that we bought." Kuro who had also been inactive for a while came back.
"Subaru why do you need a bed we can sleep together right?" Emilia-tan asked.
"Well Emilia as a friend of yours I can't allow you to sleep with Subaru." Kuro said.
"As a father I agree with him Lia I can't allow you sleep with Subaru." Puck added
"But why?" Emilia asked with her cheeks puffed.
"Emilia if Puck and Kuro both are saying they are probably correct." I said a I put a finger on Emilia cheeks to puff out the air. Man she sure is pretty cute.
"What do you mean probably." Both the spirits asked in unison.
"Nah ju-just ignore my word." I added.
"Let's start the bed making then I have bought my friend ground spirit here to help us." My contract spirit said.
And then we started making my bed in which the wood as a support and with the help of Puck and the ground spirit we were able to make a good stone bed it was kept on the perspective from Emilia's bed it was in right direction. After that we made it plain and then after cutting the rock we cleaned it. After that I put the bedsheet on the stone and finally making a bed was finally over.
"Okay Lia I have stayed up too long because of Subaru I am a bit sleepy now I am going to sleep. If Subaru does anything weird don't be afraid to call me okay?" Puck said while yawning.
"What do you mean by weird?" I asked with my one eyebrow up.
"Well anyway don't do anything Subaru, okay?" Puck said.
And then suddenly his body started wiggling and he putted his hand on his neck as if he's suffocating.
"PUCK ARE YOU OKAY!?" I screamed and then he dissipated.
"Hey Emilia is he okay!?" I asked.
"Don't worry about that he's just like that." Emilia said with a small smile.
"Man he just made my heart stop." I said.
"Now you know how I felt today right?" Emilia said with a grin.
"Yeah sorry I worried you." I apologized.
"It's pleasant to a hear a single thank you than a thousand sorries you know." Emilia said with sad face.
"Oh sorr- thank you."
"Okay now lets start cooking it's getting late." Emilia said.
"Yes I am hungry too, Emilia can you teach me to cook please , you know I wouldn't like much if I depend on you for everything , right?"
" I will be going now so if something happens call me okay?" Kuro said.
"Yeah okay bye and good night." "Good night Kuro" Emilia said.
"Yeah good night" Kuro said as he also dissipated like Puck. But he didn't do something like he was dying.
"Let's start shall we?"
" Okay I will instruct and you do the work okay."
" Yes! Let's do this!"
And thus our cooking began it took a while but it was built pretty good.
"Wow Subaru you made it so good" while taking another sip.
" Hmm I am surprised myself that I made it so good." I said while taking another sip myself.
Didn't knew I would be able to make this good, it's not like it is five star but it was good.
"I think you should always make the food from now on , I would gather the food and the thing myself."
" I don't know how to feel about that." I said with a wryly grin.
After our food we went to sleep afterwards.
"Good night Subaru , thanks to you I had a wonderful day." Emilia said even though we were in different bed I can surely day she was brightly smiling.
"Yeah good night Emilia. Thanks too."
I quickly fell asleep while thinking about how my day went.
I opened my eyes I can feel a bit warm and a really good fragrance even though I was half asleep I could feel something soft on my back and someone breath? I quickly opened my eyes and what I could see was someone's hand I quickly realized whose is was then I felt a pressure one me it seems that Emilia has held me like teddy bear and she holding me very tightly. I was still sleepy and since it was cold I was enjoying the warmth myself and then the grip tighten.
"Emilia-tan you are go-going to br-break my bones!" I said in medium voice enough wake her up.
"baru? ...I am really sorry!" Emilia said which was practically a scream as she knew what had happened.
And that's how our new day and story of Two elves began in the Elior forest.
It is a normal day in the capital of Lugunica a country in which we are in. As one can see two silver haired elves walking on the street which mean means I and Emilia. It wasn't like it was our first date Its been a long time since that day. Capital was bustling with people buying goods and people selling their goods.
"Emilia-tan don't you think you eating too much?" I asked to Emilia who cutely eating a sweet we had bought from a store. Man I don't know how many times today I have called her cute but she is too cute. And that sweets was not only the thing we have bought in the market, we have done plenty of shopping today. There were bags on both of my hands. From which I can count it is total of 8 bags each hand carrying four bags. Bags contained a some books and lots of clothes some were of Emilia and some were for me which Emilia had bought since I didn't bought much and if you are wondering how we are in capital and shopping I will tell you that later.
"But don't you think it's pretty tasty it's not the food we always get at the mansion. You wanna try?" Emilia said while offering me some sweets. It's true that Emilia has a sweet tooth so I cant deny she won't resist any sweets. But I don't like them much so I refused..
"Nah I am fine I already ate our lunch. But don't you think we have bought too much look my hands full now and I am sure if you eat too much you will get fat."
"Don't worry about that and let's go to the inn after we eat this to do more shopping"
"How won't you get fat?"
"Well thats a secret." Emilia said with a wink.
"Well it's fine if you're shopping but why most of the clothes are for me?"
"But I already have many clothes since you have like 4-5 clothes , I would like to see in different colours right? Like you get to see me in different clothes." Emilia was not the girl who like fashion. Yes Emilia was right about my clothing , I didn't care about them much , it's not like Emilia cares about clothes too much but she had a specific choices and clothes but most of the clothes were chosen by Puck. But still I had some specific choices.
For instance today I am wearing a robe built for noble which's colour schemes is black and bits of red,orange and purple. Purple because Emilia insisted for some reason. And Emilia also insisted wear this today for some reason. While Emilia on the other hand was wearing a robe built carefully which's colour schemes are white and purple. We sure are wearing polar opposite colour of clothes but we'll who cares?
"But don't you think we are spends too much I only have like 15 gold coins and 10 silver."
"Don't you think if Roswaal is sponsoring us so we make full use of it." Sure that clown is sponsoring us but cutting that from my pocket money which I shouldn't be getting but I take some Roswaal to buy things from Arlam but mostly times I save it. I still remember that conservation.
"Now Barusu I am going to do Roswaal-sama's work so you can explore the capital and buy whatever you want." A maid with pink hair said.
"Yes!"
"But the money will be cut from your pocket money"
"Hey that's too cruel.!" I retorted.
"Well than I will be going take care of Emilia-sama , Barusu."
" Yeah, don't worry about that."
"Take care of yourself Ram." Emilia who had been silent for a while spoke up.

Man cutting money from my monthly money is way too cruel
"Guess you are right but let's eat somewhere and eat okay."
"Yeah"
And then we picked a bench to set on behind there was fountain. I sat there as I kept my bag at my side. As Emilia continued her eating I drifted to my thoughts.
It's been a one and a half year since I have thawed from ice and met Emilia-tan. Many events happened battle with the great spirit Melakuera. Encountering Roswaal a guy with really weird accent and appearance the only word anyone can describe him is eccentric and now we are participating as royal candidates to become 42nd King of Lugunica. It happened after a year and some months I met Emilia that Roswaal the so called greatest mage of Lugunica came and offered us to participate I mean it was just Emilia but then it was revealed I was also a candidate. His face was pretty shocked when he saw that like he hadn't anticipated that while when Emilia was revealed it was like he had anticipated that. From that day we have been living in his giant mansion. It's been six months i think. And the reason why we are in capital today is to get our own royal insignia which shows our royal candidacy. We have already got that today morning and now we are just exploring and buying things. Man I hope life goes peaceful as it's going neither worries about royal selection nor its studies.
"Okay Baru I am done eating shall we go now?" Emilia asked.
"Yeah why not."
And then we set off to our inn we reached there in 15 minutes, kept our bags and started our exploration again after a while, now we are in tourist spot we were walking there and suddenly I fell on the floor and consciousness suddenly faded the last thing I heard was a scream from a silver bell like voice.
"SUBARU! WHAT HAPPENED!? ARE YOU OKAY?!"
I blacked out.
"Everything's my fault because I leaved the princess room!"
"Run straight ahead in the direction of those white flowers."
"Isn't this too much violence for such a small child."
" I have to reach Emilia fast!"
I can hear those voices memories started emerging which I couldn't remember. It's like seeing that life again those years without any memory of my present self and then those memories started connecting. The truths I didn't want to remember started emerging. The people I don't want to see started emerging.
"Hah so this is where they suck you in. "
A couple passed by in school uniforms remembering myself that I haven't still went to school. Looking at them I let out a sigh. Not wanting to think about it more. I went to the food counter to pick the food I had come to buy in this convenience store. I picked the noodles and the chips after thinking carefully like my life depends on it which flavour would be better. I gave money to counter after conserving a rare coin. I leaved the convenience store with a bag in my hand.
I checked road to cross left and right, can't afford to get isekaid you know by dying a painful death no maybe it would be great , well whatever. My eyes stated itching. I rubbed them guess this is because of gaming all night in my room and then just after a blink. As I opened my eyes I saw a girl in white and black and a bit of orange amd purple. The most eye-catching catching feature is her hair and eyes , silver hair long hair and beautiful amethyst eyes.
I subconsciously said "Emilia?" I don't even know how I know that name and just as she saw me her eyes a bit teary a light black light and then everyone thing went black.
I opened my eyes. I could feel something soft on my head.
"Baru you awake?" A silver bell like voice chimed.
"Yes" I replied still groggy from blacking out.
I sat up from where I was sleeping apparently i was sleeping in Emilia-tan's lap the whole time.
"If you are still tired you can rest."
"Thanks I am fine." With a small smile.
But as I saw Emilia a sudden realisation hit me as I looked at Emilia's hair clip a clip which was always there. I remember what I saw when I fainted, I remembered the the past that was forgotten until now and my other life in a modern society.
Nobody knows a great king , a sage or a Warlock had awakened.
But one thing was certain,
