welp here it goes people starting the new year off right, you guys should be able to tell by the title change what path was selected for your site and readjusting things and formulating what I want to happen became fairly interesting for both sides, the good path will have an interesting take on the surface fight for the MA raid, I'll try to have a moment for all the teens to get a somewhat shinning moment but it's unlikely to happen someone's inevitably gonna be left behind. the bad path well ..were just gonna follow the manga as close as possible their will be some obvious deviations and certain redraws that I personally favor may get chosen over the official way(looking at you child emp vs phoenix man)
for the curios it was a very close call, the deciding vote came three days before Christmas(closing).br /

Another two days go by as Bakugo and todoroki were once again just squatting in saitama's house as they are accustomed to at this point but that didn't make it any less irritating to bakugo who just sat on the side alongside todoroki although the hot and cold teen wasn't as hyper to go out and fight monster as his friend he did have to admit that he was fairly bored just being cooped up in some small apartment watching some tv shows most of which he found fairly uninteresting like how the current show was apparently a TV vehicle variety show that he can only assume is was meant for kids given the set up that was to introduce them to different types of vehicles the current vehicle under inspection was an emergency vehicle of some kind although he's never heard of it back in their world something called a "comfort van" but going off the name he wondered why they considered it an emergency vehicle which unironically draw his attention to the show. Genos on the other hand was busy washing dishes. He was fairly content in wearing his pink apron while he did so but looking up from his seat and seeing that his master was struggling with something he went over to investigate.
"Is something the matter, master?" genos said as he left the kitchen and approached but bakugo answered before saitama could.
"How can't you manage a bag of chips with all that strength you got!" bakugo yelled from the corner, irritated.
"It's not that I can't manage it. It's that if I use too much strength it'll burst open." saitama responded casually
"Of course master, your wisdom and tactics are simply too smart for others to understand." genos said.
"What was that rust bucket!" bakugo yelled, grinding his teeth together but he was ignored as Genos noticed the type of chips his master had.
"Hero chips? Could you be checking to see if they made a trading card of you?" genos remarked
"Wait, that's possible?" Saitama said before redoubling his efforts to open the bag of chips not caring if it burst open.
"In that case I will call the store and buy out their entire stock." Genos said before getting ready to use his flip phone to call.
"That's not the point…you so…how did explodo dude say it? Slow on the uptake? Or naïve." Saitama remarked, stopping genos in his tracks as he bent down to see what toy would Saitama get.
"For the last time the name is bakugo not explodo dude or bakugan." bakugo growled out even more irritated, todoroki just sighed knowing that this conversation will just be repeated ad nauseum for however long they stayed here, but suddenly through his struggling as saitama predicted the bag bursted and chips started to fly out all over the place but saitama was prepared.

Saitama squinted his eyes and quickly took notice of all the chips flying in the air as they moved in slow motion before he began his assault taking all of the chips that were furthest from him and returning it to the bag and repeating the process until every last chip was in the bag, the last chip had flown around towards genos who was behind him and he caught it before slowly pulling this one down to his mouth where he finally took a bite. Unaware as the cyborg was suddenly accelerated into the wall until the sound caught up with the movement. Both of the teens were suddenly shocked at what just transpired and immediately stood up from their seats one moment everything was fine and the very next, the cyborg was just laid out on the ground in front of them.
"Yo baldy what…what did you do…what just happened!" bakugo said with more surprise than anger in his voice. But the hero was undisturbed by the remark only looking down at genos.
"Oh? Genos what happened, oh I did feel my hand bump something just now.`` Saitama remarked casually.
"Bump?" Todoroki questioned as genos was a strong hero in his own regard and a mere "bump" of this man's hand was able to completely knock him unconscious.
"Yeah my chips started going everywhere and I had to fish them all out of the sky. Guess I accidentally tapped genos in the process. Hey genos are you alright.`` Saitama remarked casually as he went to shake the cyborg's leg, the teens only shared a disbelieving look as he continued to shake the cyborg until the cyborg finally started to show motion, sitting up and looking over to saitama.
"You ok genos?" saitama asked
"Who the hell are you?" genos responded immediately
"What? Eh? Huh?" saitama, todoroki , and bakugo all responded immediately.
"You're joking right? You don't even recognize me or know who you are?" saitama remarked
"Yup the only things I do know is that my name is Genos and that I'm a cyborg." genos remarked in a child voice.
"Did you factory reset him or something?" bakugo asked examining him
'Why are you talking like that?" Saitama remarked before turning to the TV and seeing the kid ask a question to the professor, Todoroki followed his gaze but unlike the bald man summarized that genos may be imitating the behaviors he sees.
"Bakugo, I'd advise you not to make any sudden outbursts." todoroki said calmly
"What! Why's that! And don't go giving me orders!" bakugo immediately shouted back but luckily the cyborg's attention was drawn elsewhere as he explained his hypothesis to bakugo.
"Hey big bro, is it ok, if I read this?" genos remarked suddenly after seeing the manga left on the table
"So why am I here?" genos questioned as he continued reading
"Well you came insisting that I make you my disciple." saitama remarked casually. todoroki seeing this out of the corner of his eye, was going to try to interrupt knowing full well what was contained in those manga panels.
"Wait saitama I don't think that is a very wise to-"
"You're shitting me! I'm your disciple!? Hell no! There is no way I'll become the disciple of someone whose face I could draw in 20 seconds or less! " genos yelled, his voice transforming into that of a common street thug. Actually Todoroki thought it reminded him of metal bat. Bakugo bursted out with laughter.
"How about you let your shiny head do the talking dipshit! And you what are you laughing about…I'll clobber you as well porcupine hair!" genos said then twirled on bakugo who seethe with anger.
"Oh yeah I'd like to see you try you overgrown tool box!" bakugo yelled back with equal energy and an explosion erupting from his hands.
"Oh yeah you wanna take this outside little man!" genos barked getting closer to bakugo and bakugo marched to meet the challenge.
"I'm ready whenever you are scrap metal." bakugo said with wicked grin, todoroki's warning seemingly just went in one ear and out the other apparently and he would try and deescalate the situation but with bakugo how he was and genos being the stereotypical thug that wouldn't work but luckily for him and saitama who didn't feel like having to clean up his house from those two fighting, a sudden doorbell ring sucking the mood right out of the two angry individuals as genos turned around to look at saitama.
"Yo, hurry up and answer the door." genos said to saitama.
"Ugh , sure I guess. Why now of all times.`` Saitama remarked, rubbing the back of his neck, but stopped as the sudden woosh sound of genos arm cannons sprung to life and he turned around.
"Umm…what are you doing?" Saitama asked the cyborg.
"Huh? Hell if I know but I got a feeling that something funs gonna happen if I start to do this." genos remarked as his arm cannon started to charge up with glowing orange energy.
"Wait! You don't realize how destructive that blast could be ." Todoroki finally decides to cut into the conversation to placate the cyborg.
"Yeah cyborg you should at least take that outside." bakugo stated even he was starting to worry.
"That just makes me want to do it more." the cyborg said with a wicked grin as the charging increased and all three right minded heroes reacted at once.
"You in there saitama? Is everything alright? I'm coming in." fubuki said as she opened the door to the room. She had heard a miniature thumb as she opened the door and was shocked to see that the room was covered in fractured ice scattered over the place along with saitama in front of the demon cyborg, his shirt being singed as what appeared to be the demon cyborg cannon having just fired. The group cleaned up as much as they could while explaining the situation to the new arrival. Todoroki was a bit hesitant about having the cyborg continue reading the manga but he guessed anything would be better than his current personality traits.
"So he has amnesia does he?"
"Yeah , it's like he's a bit unstable." saitama casually remarked
"I have a theory that he's simply copying traits that he reeds from that book." Todoroki said as well and just as he said that Genos' personality changed again, this time to one of the romantic types as he tried to woo the psycho sister.
"woah there , pretty girl you live around here? Have we met before because you look alot like my next girlfriend." genos asked as he got closer to the girl.
"Kill me." bakugo commented
"So he doesn't even remember that he is an S-class hero?" Fubuki questioned saitama.
"Probably not." saitama said simply
"I see." fubuki said as she put on a sly smile but was momentarily interrupted by genos again.
"Hey, are you free? Wanna grab a bite?" genos asked
"Sorry but I just remembered somewhere I gotta be." fubuki said as she left back out the door almost as quickly as she came, making Saitama wonder what she even came over for. Genos after getting denied mostly just moped around on the floor as Saitama went to get his hero costume on, telling them that he had a video game plan to go to with king, which would have shocked the teens with the neglect that master showed his disciple but they expected it at this point. Genos was currently flipping through a number of personalities until one of them stuck as he sharply turned his head to look in a specific direction before looking back towards saitama.
"Hey baldy, the hell does"high level energy detected" mean?" genos asked back in his tough guy voice.
"How am I supposed to know?" Saitama simply responded.
"It means that some person or monster is close by that is strong." bakugo responded roughly that he was actually excited, finally some action he thought and the raving cyborg who started to flip through personalities again still moved along like he imagined.
"Something coming, something coming." Genos remarked as he made his way to the door, bakugo close behind.
"Take care of genos alright, make sure he doesn't get into too much trouble…we're starting to run low on all that extra money we got from taking you guys in and we can't be paying for the damages he creates while he's like that.." saitama told to todoroki who simply nodded in return, the half-half teen may have been looking to much into the heroes words but he guessed it was his way of saying to protect his friend. The two of them exited out of the apartment as Todoroki followed the sounds of the explosions before they got to faint and Saitama simply began his walk to the restaurant king wanted to meet him at.
Z-city abandoned warehouses
Genos was following the direction that his eyes led him , he didn't know how he was doing it to his body was moving on its own leading him to whatever the elevated energy signature was, maybe whatever it was could remind of who he was. He stopped in front of the only open warehouse. He didn't know what or who was in there but maybe they could fix him, he thought, so he swallowed the hypothetical lump in his throat and persisted into the warehouse. As he entered he was surprised as someone, a woman yelled hellstorm and suddenly a hurricane suddenly formed barreling right towards him, his body again as if on instinct made him dodge out of the way of the strong wind just as the two teens behind him entered into the warehouse striking them coldly in the chest.
"Come out, genos." he heard a man say and he poked his head around the crate he hid behind.
"Who are you people?" genos questioned
"You may have forgotten your memories but your bodies remembered how to fight, that's good. You sought even greater heights even after you achieved class S, which led you to come knocking on my door of the blizzard group. Our star rookie gunshot genos !" the mysterious female in the center said, but something in her voice didn't make sense to him along with his regular name, he also remembered that his hero name was demon cyborg which meant that these guys don't have the right person! He thought as he stepped out with both of his hands up to placate the large group.
"Wait! Please! But you have gotten me mistaken for someone else, that's not who I am…I'm sorry." genos said in a melodramatic tone as he stormed out of the warehouse.
"Huh? Wait just a minute." the woman said but the cyborg was already out and away, the group quickly following just in time to see him rocket away at insane speeds.
"He ran off way too fast." eyelashes remarked but before anything else could be said mountain screamed.
"Miss Fubuki duck!" He said as he and a number of other members got in front of an attack aimed at the girl and were blown away revealing none other than dynamite, he sucked his teeth.
"That's for the cheap shot you wanna be dominatrix. Trying to take advantage of a disabled person, your pathetic." bakugo said and the women power flared as she gathered rocks around herself and bakugo was about to fight but was interrupted by todoroki calling to him.
"Bakugo we need to leave before we lose him." Todoroki said simply tapping the boy on the shoulder before rocketing away with his flames and ice. Bakugo instantly snapped back at him.
"Don't tell me what to do!" he yelled as he turned around to leave not before casting one last glance at the girl and using his explosive speed turbo: cluster completely throwing the remainder of the women posse back as he did so to catch up to the cyborg well..to catch up to todoroki that was, the two of them even going their fastest couldn't keep pace with the cyborg, even with his memories repressed he was much faster than he was usually with them which meant to bakugo he was holding back his speed the entire time which partially ticked him off but they followed the small dot just on their horizon which they classified as genos…the cyborg made a sudden stop as he lowered down to a city center and just started to walk around bakugo and todoroki only tailed after him to worried that actually confronting the cyborg would make him run away again, the cyborg suddenly stopped as it seemed to be sat in concentration going over what the two teen could not know but soon afterwards panic started to space around as a monster suddenly appeared but not just any monster the two teens recognized it was the same cat monster from that time in the snow but for bakugo that was irrelevant as that also meant.
Klump, Klump, Klump, Klump
The heard of hooves marching down suddenly behind him drew the two teens attention as suddenly both of them were suddenly clotheslined by the minotaur creature from before but bakugo remembered his name it was asterius . Recovering enough to unleashed a few of his C4 bombs that immediate exploded as they hit the ground freeing them from the beast clutches and tossing them clear as todoroki and bakugo recovered enough to stand up asterius was there watching them both with it's glowing red eyes in the next instance their eyes were skywards as genos and the other monster flew off in the direction they just came from.
"You go ahead follow them..I don't know how much that robot actually remembers about fighting but it can't be too much." bakugo argued
"Are you sure you can handle this by yourself?" Todoroki questioned.
"I don't need your help half and half…I've been waiting for this rematch. Get out of here!" bakugo said with a grin as he turned back to the monster and Todoroki did one double take before leaving and following after the cat monster and genos. Bakugo saw half and half leave before turning and cracking his knuckles, he looked around and seeing the surrounding people and shops decided to take a gamble on moving locations if what that tiger said was true than the monster should oblige.
"Before we start, let's get a change of location so I can really cut loose." bakugo said and the bull nodded and off the two went away from the prying eyes, the two moved over to a more secluded place under an overpass the road was incomplete so no one was around and the workers were seemingly gone so bakugo assumed they were on break, as he stopped flying and took up his place and the monster did the same a couple of feet away.
"So this is the spot you chose to die a warrior's death." asterius said
"Oh so you can speak huh? You know that tiger and that cub are still with us right? If you come along quietly you might be able to even join them." bakugo taunted but asterius merely shook his head.
"That is their decision not mine…if you are able to beat me however I will be at your mercy." asterius responded simply and bakugo laughed at that.
"Good that's what I wanted to hear because I sure a shit couldn't let what happened that day slide, I was gonna kick your ass one way or another. I'm stronger than I was the other day so you better not hold back." bakugo said with a sharp grin.
"I'll be the judge of that." asterius replied simply before charging forwards bakguo used his explosions and did the same the two met in the center of the abandoned construction site and clashed, bakugo dodged the large blow before returning a physical one of his own his explosive punch fueled by his explosion directly landed on the side of the monster face slightly damaging it but not enough to delay it's next strike on bakugo which he blocked with his gauntlet, his first opened up into a sizeable explosion knocking the monster off balance and forcing him to roll as he got back to a standing position.
"You see that, that's just a taste of what I have to offer…you don't have the benefit of cold weather either…don't hold back." bakugo said again as he pointed to the sword on the monster's back..the monster waited for a moment before standing completely straight and nodding before pulling out the large blade.
"Very well, what you say is true, your improvement is apparent. Before we begin, what is your name warrior?" asterius asked and bakugo smiled before transitioning his pointing finger to himself.
"It's bakugo…bakugo katsuki." he said before getting into a fighting stance.
"Very well bakugo katsuki… I assume you already know my name but I'll will state it anyways my name is asterius, I will remember you." asterius remarked as he hefted his sword in his hands. And the two warriors stared at each other for a moment before charging at each other again this time bakugo used his explosions to fly through the air as he went asterius ran with his sword forwards in a thrusting maneuver bakugo dodged out of the way with a roll at the same time bringing one of his hands up to launch more of his C4 explosions, asterius quickly let one hand go of the sword before smacking away the balls of nitroglycerin before they could detonate before swing his sword horizontally hopping to bisect bakugo but bakugo was quick enough in his spin to block the attack with his gauntlets but the creatures other hand came back quickly to grab him by the hair and slam him into the ground just as his C4 exploded some distance away, bakguo saw the shine of the light glance off the sword as the monster was about to plunge it down but bakugo hurriedly used his legs to kick the sword off mark and make it stab into the ground right next to him instead of through his head. The monster still had control of his hair however as he picked him up and attempted to stab him again but bakugo countered with using his stun grenade this allowed bakugo to weasel free from the monster grasp as he kicked off it's chest and used his explosion to climb high into the air.
Asterius recovered just in time to see one of bakugo's AP-shots coming his way raising his sword he completely deflected the blow away from him but bakugo wasn't done their he continued his barrage with his AP-machinegun the large shots rained down all around the monster who at first attempted to deflect them all but soon got overwhelmed by the barrage and disappeared as the smoke from the attack built up, bakugo dived back down towards the monster it's large frame creating a easy to find shadow but as he launched a direct explosion at it that cleared the smoke around it he was surprised to only find the creatures sword and in the next moment bakugo was taken off his feet as a massive fist rocked him in the face sending him deep into the side of the road carving out a trail as he went until he slid to a stop, bakugo opened his eyes enough to see that large behemoth was flying through the air hopping to stab him while he was on the ground.
bakugo raised up and quickly pulled up his arm and fired out his time bomb attack the nitrogylcine stream getting into his opponents eyes making him falter and not stick the landing as it fell and slid down bakugo didn't give it time to recover as he used his land mind blast to completely upheave the creature as the secondary explosion from his sweat took effect sending the monster into the air but it wasn't beaten just yet as bakugo charged the behemoth he still took a swipe at him while in mid-air but bakugo dodged it and countered with an explosion to it's abdomen, another swing of it's sword was blocked by bakugo's bracers but the monster used the opportunity to ensnare both of his wrist with it's other hand and throw him towards the ground.
Bakugo hit the ground with a hard thud but still maintained consciousness enough to avoid the downward stab again but didn't move far enough away to dodge the monster's back swing of its second fist hitting him directly in the gut. The monster freed it's massive sword and was attempting to come down on him with it , bakugo responded in kind launching a massive explosion to counter the blade the explosion launched the blade from the monster grip as bakugo came back for another large explosion but he was caught off guard from a knee strike that sent him spiraling but not without using his time bomb move again this time ignting the stream in mid transit as a line of explosion traveled towards the monster direction it avoided the attack in the direction bakugo assumed it would go straight for it's sword again which he had launched multiple of his C4 grenades at simultaneously. The monster landed just as the bomb went of 10 of them creating a sizable explosion as the dust settle the beast was still standing however through smoke piled off it's frame and it was noticeably winded as was bakugo he had been sure he had a few broken bones but he wouldn't back down as he charged preparing to unleashe his explosive cannon shot times three , one of the monsters hands were wounded forcing it to pick up the sword with it's other just in time to block the large column of flames heading towards it at first it looked like it was going to hold but eventually it folded backwards as the blast carried it off striking the overpass and completely demolishing what was left of the incomplete overpass and dropping it over top of the creature bakugo struggled up on top of all the rubble to see the monster trapped and point his hand near it's face.
"I….win." bakugo said heavily winded asterius wasn't shocked or surprised and he didn't even seems scared of what would happen next he seemed to just accept his fate that was until a sudden rumble happened that shook the ground beneath the two of them, bakugo saw something shift in the corner of his eye as he raised his guard to block whatever it was. The blue claw sliced across his gauntlets and sliced across his head causing him to be flung back and bleeding on one side, he could raise his head just in time to see some type of centipede creature slowly go back down and asterius was nowhere to be found.
Z-city abandoned warehouse
Genos was running away back to that warehouse he couldn't possibly take on his creature that was following him he needed help from an actual hero that women form before she seemed to be strong. Maybe she could take off this monster but he was shocked as he got back to the warehouse no one was there. He was suddenly cornered by the monster.
"So this is the place you chose to die." the monster said before howling out great mountain howl genos was shocked as the very ground beneath his feet shifted and became unstable and lively flinging him up into the air as the cat monster charged one it's paws becoming engulfed in flames volcano shot the creature screamed as it charged towards genos swiping with it's one flaming claw over and over again genos body reacted on it's own again and again dodging each of the attacks without him even noticing he was moving but that wasn't good enough as one of the strikes struck true and launched into the walls of one of the crates fracturing his shoulder a bit. The monster noticed that he was a machine and berated the cursed man-made contraptions about how it couldn't understand its rage or anger..why it needed to seek revenge for the territory it took from them.
Genos was indeed saved from the monster's grasp as it was suddenly frozen completely in ice,allowing him to escape its grasp and land a large kick of the top of its head as he used it as a spring to jump over and out of the warehouse just as the monster escaped its icy prison.
"Thank you for the save sir, are you a hero?" genos asked
"Yes I am but I need your help to take care of this monster so don't go anywhere." todoroki replied back
"Oh, you again …I'll kill you this time." the monster creature remarked
Todoroki used his phosphorus red form and charged up a torrent of flames before sending it out the creature howled and summoned a tornado to protect itself and sending it outwards again forcing both of them to doge out of the way and separate the monster charged at todoroki through his flames as it's claws were covered in flames of its own todoroki concentrated his flames into that of a flame sword and blocked the strike before switching to his phosphorus white state and summoning a large column of ice that made the monster retreat, genos didn't know what to do or how to support …he wasn't a hero was he? The monster screamed a ghastly yell weather change: whirlwind suddenly two tornadoes surrounded todoroki and genos weather change: hailstorm it yelled next as hard snow began to rain down as well, todoroki summarized that the whirlwind was to keep them in place while the hailstorm was to reduce their mobility but that wasn't all suddenly the ground under todoroki feet came up and trapped him as the monster screamed again great mountain howl.
Todoroki could only watch on as the monster claws were imbued with electricity as he charged genos lighting strike hitting the cyborg in the head and completely sending him flying into an upper container. The whirlwind faded as it turned its sight back to todoroki trapped beneath the earth but switching back to his phosphorus red form he used his hell spiders to cut himself free just as the monster charged slamming it's claws down from where he laid just prior, he shot out his hell's claws towards the creature which narrowly avoided the attack but it's hind paws getting nicked in its attempts angering it even more as it charged up a blast of wind from its mouth, todoroki flew over the attack an used both of his hands to shoot out fire that the monster avoided by flying as well. The two took the battle to the air, todoroki enshrouded in flames as the monster enshrouded itself in wind the resulting clash blew hot air everywhere and todoroki was starting to overheat and switched closely to phosphorus white to cool himself down again this time unleashing his heavens bifrost attack which launched a large amount of ice towards his target the monster was engulfed by the attack sending it falling towards the ground completely encased in ice but it broke out in time before hitting the ground but before it could properly climb back up into the skies the monster found it's movement halted by something grabbing its tail that something was genos as he held it from moving the monster launched a paw strike at the robot but the hero caught the blow with ease while thanking the monster for allowing him to regain his memories. Before lifting his other hand and yelling incinerate the cat monster was almost completely incinerated by the blast as the hero tossed the corpse aside as genos rushed home to apologize to his master for his behavior and todoroki rushed over to check on bakugo and see if he was ok.
B-city
What is he doing? Typing an email or doing research perhaps? Well it doesn't matter, it won't change the plan. People believe that the S-class hero king is so strong that his very existence deters crime and because of that, many criminals harbor Ill will towards him. Which includes their client and the pay is astounding. We're an elite team of assassins who surround and strike our target even if he's a professional hero. We already blocked the entrance. Now is our chance! A man in a trench coat with stitches going across his right eye thought as he glanced to his five other compatriots in the hell house restaurants each glance returned a subtle nod back indication that the mission was a go, their target was king while normally hard to locate and figure out a pattern for the introduction of the little hero he was training allowed them to better figure out his plans following the little grape hero to this hell house restaurant completely paid off that unique scar was too unique to be anyone else.
"It appears you all have gathered …..fools no matter how many of you there are…..no matter how many times you try the results will always be the same. " king said suddenly all five members just became on guard, were they compromised? ran through each assassin's head. As they focused on the conversation the hero was saying
"Does that sound right to say about people that's been constantly challenging you?" king asked mineta the small hero swallowed down the food he was eating as he pondered for a moment.
"Yeah that sounds good, oh! Maybe you should add something to truly scare them as well, so that they would never bother you again.`` Mineta added and king nodded.
"Yes….yes…something like my Strength will teach you despair and you will cower before it but I will show no mercy..you will act as an example of all that comes after you." king remarked sipping his drink and looking up and the trench coat man didn't know if he was just being paranoid but king looked up from his laptop and due to the angle it was clearly not towards the teen but almost like it was directly towards him, he quickly pulled up the newspaper he was holding to avoid suspicion. Have they noticed us? That wasn't a normal conversation between two people, is he challenging us to a fight? But he appears to hesitate, unaware of our numbers or positions. He can't possibly believe that everyone present is an assassin so it works to our advantage if he fears involving bystanders. The lead assassin thought as he checked with his cohorts once more the one sitting next to king began to obviously sweat in his seat but king seemed to have not noticed or he did and seemingly bidding his time before he struck either case they probably couldn't rely on him.
"I'll handle this, you stay here, keep watch." king said before suddenly standing up the assassin all were even more on guard than before as the man boldly made his move. King was just moving around, he was personally checking out every person there. Trying to identify each possible threat. Ah he turned his back! Now is the perfect time, I'll slit his throat from behind! The lead assassin thought
" not coming out eh?" king remarked
Making the assassin stop in his tracks. Was it a trap!? Phew I almost fell for it , his compatriot behind him also mentioned that the purpled haired kid was also looking out for him, which was further proof of the trap they were setting up, if he went to strike the kid would have called out he was getting sloppy he needed to remind himself that his target had a companion the newspaper was obscuring him was that another part of his plan having such a small accomplice that was also apart of the C-class could have people overlook him much to easily.
"King, can you get me another order of nuggets?" mineta asked
"How many?" king asked
"12 would be fine." Mineta said simply sitting back into his seat.
"Hmm ….so half that of last time." king remarked as he approached the cashier and made the order along with getting refills for both of their drinks. The assassin panicked again at his comment they were again luring them out or more precisely they were making them aware that they had deduced their numbers. It was the only possible explanation for his comment, did he sense his bloodlust while his back was turned? If they deciphered that the man sitting next to him was one of them going by his sweating and slight twitches while catching him in his set up and the person sitting behind him whispering to him that led up to the conclusion of at least three, if he found the tall man outside that would be at least four of the members but what about the other two how was he able to deduce them? If he was able to deduce their numbers that must have also meant he deduced who they were, he sent the cashier away on purpose to keep her from harm! King, he is ready to fight! The lead assassin thought as he hesisted back into his seat.
The other members were too scared to act and king seemed to have finished his preparation to fight. Well, we are prepared as well…I wanted to see if I could take the shrimp as hostage but will I be able to make it there in time before king could react? as he looked over to the shrimp in the seat he was on his phone but that could have been a ploy. Regardless, we need to make our move. I'll create an opening and the other should follow suit. Killing the king will make us notorious assassins! An assassin with dirty blond hair thought as he looked at mineta before turning his sights back to king but by then it was too late the large man was suddenly upon him as if he manifested out of thin air…he said nothing but he didn't have to when he heard it….the king's engine.
King wanted to head to the restroom but found his path blocked by a large gentleman that wouldn't move out of his way. Was he a fan of his? And just to confirm his thoughts the older gentlemen started to reach into his jacket probably to pull some souvenir he wanted him to sign but king didn't feel like dealing with it so he quickly shot out his hand to stop the man that seemed to be fumbling with whatever it was stopping his motion completely.
"Pretend you never saw me. I understand how you feel but you need to learn how to contain it, don't let it control you. This is my private time so let me make this clear(king said taking off his shades) my job is defeating monsters. I don't want to deal with you. Got it? King said as his king's engine got even louder.
"One time I got surrounded by a dozen of you and no matter how fast I acted. There is just no end to them. This is a warning , so that neither of us has a bad time." king remarked menacingly. The man froze with doubt and fear as he took a step back along with another person behind him and quickly started to leave.
"On second thought. Someday I'll retire in maybe five or 20 years..if you still feel the same way then…come to this shop and I will face you." king ended his monologue and with that the five men slowly left all proud and astonished by king's heroism and stature winning a fight without even fighting and letting them go despite them trying to kill him. 6 thumps could be heard later as saitama suddenly entered the store and sat down in the booth with king and mineta.
"What are you typing?" saitaam asked king
"Writing my own video game script." king remarked simply
"You have as much free time as I do." Saitama said simply.
"King only goes out for big threats." mineta defended
"What the grape said." king confirmed, and Saitama rolled his eyes at that.
"Right , Some weirdos were trying to block the way for some reason but I'm here now let's have the rematch!" Saitama said getting out his psp and king followed suit but even with a handicap he couldn't beat the all powerful hero.
"Tch, I hate the portable version I've been practicing on the console so come back to my place and we'll play there." saitama said angry
"Haha! Anytime! Let's go." king said before the three of them started heading back home.
Z-city
The day started out normal enough for ojiro and midoriya the group did their run and climbed up the mountain side then proceeding to their exercises, the group did some light sparring before separating again and doing their own separate things midoriya and bang would again work more on his danger sense midoriya now being able to fully use the ability to listen farther than he could ever before and almost exactly pinpoint the location of the conflict just like all might used to be able to do back in his prime days. Ojiro was progressing as well he was able to entered into his awakened state at will now, toru would jokingly to call it his "monkey mode " to give it some flare and go with his name but he was adamant on just keeping it simplistic and normal to get the point across, he has also been progressing with the the water stream bang mentioned that the water stream was highly adaptable and can be used by every part of your body from your smallest finger to your smallest pinki obviously such tactics wasn't advised but the point being that he could even use the water steam with his tails and in fact if he was able to master it to such an extent he would be likely nearly untouchable and perhaps may be able to overcome the styles weakness against non-humanoid enemies, although he was sure bang was just trying to hype him up.
Ojiro worked with Charanko to improve his style along with his tail, wanting to work with one before going with both of them. Charanko had improved as well both him and ojiro have been steadily practicing together and as a result he to was starting to be able to see the blue lines that siginifed bang's martial art and togather they have been working on attempting to see that faint and flickering blue wave to highlight over ojiro's tail when he swung it around..it proved fairly tricker than charanko thought but ojiro understood that trying to combine his extra appendage with a martial arts that didn't take it in mind, back in their world such things were common originally as well but martial art master soon adapted and made special programs that would benefit people with mutation quirks like his. The two continued to practice for about an hour and half before midoriya and bang returned and the next phase of their practice began, this time was full on matches between the four of them, the matches were mostly so bang could visually see and test their improvement as they came but something about the old man was different the air around him was somewhat darker and going by midoriya's fairly similar energy in that regard something wa definitely up but why? What did they talk about? Ojiro questioned as the matches began and the mismatches were over fairly quick enough both his and charanko matches against bang were over in a split second neither could really even put up much of a defense against the man but he still offered his more than harsh usual criticism against either.
The next match was against midoriya and while they were a bit more fair it was mostly due to midoriya having held back the percentage of one for all he was using although even ojiro noticed in his fight with charanko that he went a bit further than he would normally if he reckoned a guess it would have been 15% instead of the normal 10% that they were normally train at which lead to the disciples quick loss against the mossy haired teen. When it came time for ojiro time he immediately went into his awakened state and charged midoriya in their practice with his new state he was able to tie midoriya at about 25% full cowling which roughly translated to a 16 times increase to his ability which is the main reason he said it was a state of being instead of a simple another tail but he was curious how much was his quirk at work or bang's awakening breath at that either way he would make use of the boost to fight more evenly with midoriya than before but just like charanko he went a little harder than he was really prepared to combat likely 30%. the battle wasn't as one sided as his friend was however he had to admit he was better at deflecting and avoiding midoriya's attacks with the water stream then he was but midoriya began using his other abilities as well such as his air cannons and blackwhips along with the smokescreen to throw him of his guard and led to his quick defeat. Leaving only the last two to battle, it was always a spectacle to watch but this time around there was an air to it, a tension that ojiro couldn't quite place.
Then the match began and this tension he was feeling was almost immediately warranted as the first clash knocked both him and charanko off their feet and sent them flying backwards nearly off the mountain entirely ojiro managed to hold on with his tail and he places the two of them on the near the edge of the steps, neatheir student could actually see what was happening as the two were simply moving to fast even in his awakened state, he couldn't follow them but the reaction of wind from their blows were still evident, charanko was noticeably freaking out from the interaction both of them have never gone this far before and it seemed to them like a lot more than sparring, the very mountain they were standing on was noticeably shaking and vibrating violently, too violently for either of their liking, charanko was so worried that he believed that the mountain may just collapse in on itself from the strain of these two fighting and he intranelly echoed the sentiment but how were they to reach them? Even if they could get closer that would be like purposely throwing themselves in front of a charging train to stop it. But after the fighting intensified again, they needed to do something to stop whatever was happening with them. That's when ojiro had an idea, both of them couldn't or wouldn't listen to them yelling for them to stop but midoriya would surely listen to someone else he thought as he got his phone out to call someone.
Midoriya wasn't in a very positive mood when he came to the dojo today, the confirmation that Eri was the one that horn on all might head belonged to was horrendously devastating to him while he didn't want to have hope that it wasn't her exactly but a clones or maybe copy like that doctor was able to do for the nomu but he couldn't help it he wanted eri to live peacefully especially give her past but now…she's likely just went through another traumatic experience maybe even worse. Uraraka may have been right, the other day maybe he needed to take a break because his emotions could have compromised him but he decided that he needed to go with…now more than ever he had to get stronger with bang and given the steps he's already take in that regard he felt that it was only right for him to still go today he couldn't afford to take breaks when every day mattered, but upon arriving to the dojo he could already tell he would have wished he hadn't as soons as the mountain that bang dojo sat atop of came into view he could already sense the danger that lied on top it…he would have at first believed it was a villain or monster but due to how much he's been training with him he could immediately knew it was bang and that was only confirmed as they started their training. Bang was good at suppressing his aura and intent almost perfectly but today he seemed to be having difficulty in that regard. It steadily leaked out of him like a faucet that he would steadily pick up.
Midoriya didn't decide to actually mention it until they were separated but the man didn't give him much information to go off of but he knew undoubtedly it had to do with garou as when he mentioned it his danger sense flared and he dodged just in time to avoid a rock thrown incredibly hard the rock skated off the water and out over the city where it kept going until it was out of sight. Bang merely said not to mention his former pupil again and that if he ever has another encounter with him that he should inform him immediately. Midoriya just nodded along and tried to focus on his training but given bangs current temperament it was simply easy to tell where the rocks were going to come from but now the problem was simply speed he couldn't catch them with just his arms so he surrounded himself with black whip tentacles that he used as octopus arms to catch the multitude of rocks sent his way but they still came through striking him occasionally all over his body one stroke him in the nose before he decided enough was enough and ended the exercise their. Just because he's mad due to his former disciple doesn't mean he can take it out on him, he wasn't going let something like this happen a second time.
The two went up the mountain and Midoriya was surprised that he wanted just traditional combat matches with everyone. Was he really just going to force conflict? His danger sense was flaring as midoirya watched the matches with bang and how he immediately defeated both of his fellow disciples but he held off their match until midoriya did the same, midoriya wasn't that much better he could argued as he didn't hold back quite enough against his matches with ojiro and charanko either but his already negative mindset combined with the constant pang of his danger sense from bang's own negative emotions kinda compounded with each other inside of him until it was their time to fight. And this was a true fight just like his time with bakugo but this time midoriya doesn't have to hold back, he didn't know if this would help him at all but if bakugo was any indication this could be helpful and with that thought the two began….midoriya charged first and bang met him equally the two clashed in the center before flashing out and around the dojo, midoriya had a better time reading bang attacks as the old man fully let his anger out….but that didn't really help as much as he would have liked the man was still just way to fast for him all of his attacks were countered , parried or redirected and all of bang's attacks were right on target forcing him back.
Midoriya used all his tricks up his sleeves to help land just one punch on the old man, just one and he would have been at least somewhat satisfied but nothing seemed to be working his smoke screen was easily seen through by the man his black whip were easily dodged and his air blast were completely slapped aside even when using fajin the man was able to evade while returning an attack of his own. He could feel his body creek and swell with the injures but he kept going despite them he just wanted one…just one and he could be done he could be satisfied and he went for one last burst with his fajin using all of his skills in a incoherent jumble to throw the man off and just when it looked like he was finally able to hit the man a voice rang through everything he was currently thinking about and completely broke through the trance he was in making him stop his punch cold just in time as the smoke cleared, midoriya saw that a fist was also about to strike him in the face at that exact moment as well and going off of arm length bang fist would have connected first anyways.
"Midoriya!" midoriya heard her voice again it was playing through ojiro phone, he looked up to the phone and using his black whip snatched it out of ojiro's hands before drawing it closer to him.
"Uraraka….what city are you in?" Midoriya asked, in a monotone voice, utterly serious.
"I'm in C-city." the girl replied instantly.
With that midoriya walked back over and handed ojiro back his phone before stepping a bit further down the steps of the mountain and launching off and away. Ojiro didn't know what to think of the encounter but he guessed to tell uraraka that he was on his way to which replied that she already could see him and the last thing he heard from the call was that tatsumaki should put presumably midoriya down. After hanging up the phone and looking over to his fellow disciple the two of them slowly approached bang who remained in his position gazing at his hands before he cuffed them behind himself as he looked down towards the ground.
"Master wha…what was wrong?" charanko asked hesitantly as he approached but bang said nothing as he turned around and started walking to his dojo. Luckily it was still in one piece but that couldn't be said about the surrounding area but as they moved to follow the old man he finally spoke.
"No." he said simply halting their progress as he continued towards the door
"Bang what do you mean? What's happened? ``Ojiro and Charanko both asked worriedly.
"Nothing. But as of today none of you are my students. I'm casting you all out. Never come here again." bang said ominously still with his back turned to them as he slammed shut the dojo door behind him. The two disciples looked at each other for a moment, their gazes each asking the same question of what they should do next, but it was charanko that was the one to figure something out and asked for ojiro to follow him as he led the way away from bang's dojo.
Bomb's dojo
Things started out normal enough for toru as the day began her class would start the day with their morning run, stretches and exercise before starting on their bone strength training however Jackie noted that bomb seemed a bit down today and when she actualy started to focus on the man she could see it, something was bothering him he was not as..well she didn't want to say energetic as the old man was far from it but he was more downcaasted than he usual was when giving instruction or criticism on certain things and it wasn't long until they figured out why…as they all got down with their original exercise and headed inside to do their normal dose of studying and sparring during the next break he told his students that this will likely be the last training session for them for the foreseeable future…he didn't want to tell them that this will be the last training session but he doesn't know what the future holds for him and doesn't know when he will return or if he will return at all that is but he wasn't going to just leae them their all hung out to dry.
He implored them to continue with their training giving each of his students scrolls that held his the basics and advanced styles for his martial arts but that wasn't all…he actually also implored them…especially those that were struggling to use the opportunity to go and explore other martial arts he understood that a good many of his students chose him to train under just to capitalize off his and his brothers fame of being the best martial artist in the world but he believed that to be untrue although most of the class believed that he was just trying to be humble, however bomb was adamant that those that did train under him for such a reason should not put so much faith in titles like that and instead focus on compatibility as it would do them more good if they are truly serious about martial arts.
To that end bomb had gone through the task of actually making recommendations for everyone in the class for a specific martial arts and he distributed that out as well, obviously the classes were already set and mixing martial arts never truly worked despnding on the philopshes so some of them may have to choose one or the other to fully learn and commit to which was probably why he prefrenced this by talking about not being blinded by his title to obviously choose his style over others he suggested toru speculated. Toru and jackie both received their dojo recommendations the two girls had hoped that they would be offered the same recommendation but alas it was not to be, toru was curious about what Jackie would have gotten given she would have laughed if she got the same style that mina was currently learning under but that wasn't it she although she still got a chuckle out of the name of the fist she was to learn under it was the head first rushing style and it was as it sounded a very simplistic martial arts from a glance but it's something that shouldn't be underestimated and would suit jackie straight forwards character fairly well.
Toru was something she already predicted it was going to be it was pressure point killer fist , bomb said that she had a good point previously about working under this martial arts and given her ability it would work out as a good asset for her hero work and offer an alternative to his style…the two styles mixxed well enough so it is unlikely that she would need to choose one or the other and that she should continue to pratice to get a better handle on the whirlwind before she does so however. Fred on the other hand was giving the fist of sudden truth but no words were spoken between the two as he did so, suggesting that it was something only they should be aware of. After finishing handing out the rest of the recommendations the class quickly got back to training given that this was their last day bomb worked them extra hard going five times their normal load as a twisted joke of his. As the class was ending Jackie lamented the fact that they won't be able to see each other again but toru had the bright idea that she could just come and train with her at the hero association instead but Jackie thought that only heroes could enter that place but toru assured the girl that she could work something out but also that she has more chances of seeing sero and with that the dark skinned girl was right on board with her plan.
Toru was also a bit curious about something as well, was the same thing happening to ojiro as well, she had to admit that she was a bit nervous when they started to hearing micro thumbs in B-city…that was undoubtedly coming from Z-city as well and having texted ojiro he confirmed her suspicions that it was midoriya and bang fighting and was fairly shocked even if they practically on the border of Z and B cities to be able to feel anything from all the way out here would seem nearly impossible but she guessed that was just how strong midoriya was, bomb having overheard their conversation and apologized for his brother actions and if had hurt her friend. But she told him that midoriya was doing ok. Although she question why bang would react in such a way and bomb simply told her that it was do to garou and the two of them were going to officially start their search for the lost disciple and stop him before he could hurt anyone else.
Saitama's apartment
Ojiro was partially nervous on where his friend was taking him, it was further into Z-city but as they went the place started to become more and more deserted and it gave off very sketchy vibes if he was being honest but as they went up the stairwell and knocked on one of the apartment doors, he was surprised however when who opened the door, it was todoroki..which meant that this place that he took them was presumably saitama's home but why were there so many people inside? Not only were bakugo and todoroki here but also mineta and king as well..along with miss fubuki.
"something 's happening with bang." charanko opened up the discussion
"Bang's acting strangely? What do you mean?" genos asked
"Bang and Midoriya had a fight...while he's usually kind and thoughtful. He was completely vicious this time around, even midoriya was pretty banged up after they were done." ojiro added
"Is midoriya ok?" Todoroki questioned, earning both mineta and bakugo's attention.
"He's ok, he's with uraraka in C-city right now, she was the only way we could get them to stop fighting before the whole mountain was destroyed." ojiro responded with worry.
"The nerd seemed off in the morning, I'm not surprised by that." bakugo commented simply.
"Back to bang, you guys are the next closest to him so it thought that you might know." charanko asked
"I do not know." genos said simply
"According to my connections that is highly irregular for the man." fubuki commented
"I don't know much about him, mineta come on let's continue the game." king remarked turning to mineta but the kid was glued to the situation at hand.
"But I have a feeling that garou the human monster is somehow involved." genos replied
"GAROU! He was the person that rampaged at the dojo a year ago and bang cast him out. What would he have to do with this?" Charanko remarked, ojiro felt a knot form in his stomach and he would go to change the situation if he could but that would draw suspicion towards him and if genos knew about him then something must have changed as bang wanted to keep garou under wraps for now.
"You are his pupil, yet he did not tell you? The hero association has added garou to the hero bounty board as a S-class bounty and bang has personally volunteered to capture him." genos responded simply.
"The hero hunter has even targeted some of my members, beating up 5 of my group already. So what can you tell us about this garou?" fubuki remarked angered
"Wait but Garou was a human? Did he become a monster?!" Charanako asked, astonished by that fact and shivering just imagining what someone like that could do as a monster. But Genos shook his head.
"No he has the moniker of human monster due to his actions and statements so far, there was an incident at the association headquarters but the hero association covered it up. During this incident he made known that he admires monsters and hopes to become some into the association to believe that there may be a connection between him and the non-killing army who also holds monsters in some higher regard than normal." genos finished turning his gaze towards the now glaring bakugo.
"That loser has nothing to do with us." Bakugo said through ground teeth.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that, their have been some interesting comments online of the hero hunter encounters with the non-killing army recently and him changing his approach an encounter with tape weaver and a personal statement given by a martial artist who personally saw an encounter between him and green savior deku." fubuki remarked simply but bakugo merely scoffed at that..but said nothing else, they all knew garou was treating them differently and why but revealing that and having the women potentially leak it could lead to even more dangerous rumors spreading.
"In either case the situation could grow to harm civilians, I assume bang's intentions were to keep you out of harm's way" genos remarked, charanko was internally panicking is garou really that dangerous now? Was he really holding bang back? Charako thought as he looked over to his friend and fellow disciple for answers but froze when he looked at ojiro's face, the teen didn't seem the least bit surprised by the news or react in any way he would have expected his face was just full of what he could only describe as regret? Why?
"Wha…what's with that face?" Charanko questioned, causing the boy to look up at him before turning his head away.
"You….you didn't know about this did you?" Charanko asked but Ojiro's silence was all that he needed to know as he went to get up and leave but he was halted as Ojiro grabbed his wrist.
"I didn't know it would have gotten to this point but bang just wanted to make sure you stayed safe. He cares about you…he entrusted me to look after you because he didn't want you to do anything foolish." ojiro said charanko said nothing as he ripped his hands away from his friend and continued out the door.
"Master, what are your thoughts on the matter?" genos said as they watched charako walk out.
"I'm not that close to the geezer but…one thing does puzzle me, who was that just now?" saitama said as he thought about how unfair his name was in comparison to bang's
"Master that was bangs original tap pupil before they came along, charanko we met the weakling before." genos said simply.
"Don't call him weak. Especially when you don't even need to work for your strength." ojiro said angered by the remark and bakugo laughed but turned into a cough as he push up against his injuries
"You tell him tail, that does piss me off as well. Looking down on others when all he gotta do is change his parts. Bakugo announced.
"Why you pissants, I'll-"
"Calm down genos, they bring up a fair point…besides you insulted someone he cares about…think about it as if someone insulted me." Saitama mentioned.
"Yes master… I apologized for telling the truth so disrespectfully." genos said, which everyone just sighed at thinking it was the best they could get from the cyborg at this point.
B-city to Z-city inhabited zone
Tokoyami and zombieman had forgone their usual training area this time around when tokoyami had informed the hero of the recent events that happened the other day, asking the teen to take him to where the battle had been and tokoyami obliged flying the two of them over to the area while he didn't know exactly where it was, going by the description koda gave about the area the other day the two of them should be able to spot it from a distance. With shining light back out in the morning tokoyami and her are still testing out their new abilities and while she was essentially the opposite of dark shadow in most ways there were still similarities the two of them shared such as their abilities he was still able to clad himself in his familiars form this time around he would call it the golden fleece.
shining light body would disperse in a flash of light leaving only her armor behind which would come to him and combine with him. cladding him a slim golden armor that increased all of his capabilities to a level slightly above hers alone when separated although he wasn't as skilled as she was in using her powers yet which he was getting used to. The first thing he ensured to learn again was how to fly again and shining light naturally could glide and levitate in the air but he didn't have that luck, so instead he rethought about his training with hawks and tried to visualize something how that would entail and the ultimate conclusion to this training was similar to his fallen angel but instead he called it his Icarus wings , the wings weren't actually like normal bird wings for him to fly where he needed to flap them, it was just a way for him to better contextualize his flight as he simply glided through the air, he was much faster than when he was with dark shadow and it seemed that the higher he went the faster he could go. He guessed the reason was that the higher they went the closer they were to the sun which was also compounded by the time of day…as the evening approached where the sun was highest in the sky he became overcharged similar to dark shadows ragnarok he called this state prometheus aptly named after taken the fire from titan that stole the secrets of fire from the gods and gave it to the humans in that once that clock hit noon shining light engulfed itself in flames that poured out of its body becoming more of an elemental being instead of a physical one, this mode lasted for around an hour before it simply petered out and left her in a weakened state for the remainder of her time continuing weakening until the moon rises where she would be replaced by dark shadow.
Speaking of the shadow monster, under the influence of the golden fleece he could actually feel the shadows presence again like shining light had told him prior instead of residing inside of him he resided inside of her, it was essentially the only time he could actually hear the shadow creature during the day but it would sound incredibly tired most of the time and couldn't really manifest itself but it still had the energy to remind him about their deal with tsu…he had instructed shining light to snoop around if possible and she's heard some interesting developments begin to happen so he better not "raven" out. Tokoyami merely smirked at this but he did get nervous but he decided to hold it off for now as the two of them entered into the inhabited zone in Z-city and once they entered into the place it didn't take very long for them to actually find the place where the battle had originally took place multiple cleared out creators littered the landscape all of them of notable size as zombieman whistled as the two landed in the largest one being about could of kilometers in size.
"Your friends were the one that fought this monster?" zombieman asked
"Not exactly they only came in at the tail end of the conflict the main portion of the encounter was fought between the monster and a S-class level convict that goes by speed o' sound sonic" Tokoyami replied, shaking his head.
"interesting ." zombieman said simply as he started to investigate the two searched around the area for a couple of hours trying to find any clues on the whereabouts of where the monster could have went but nothing seemed to be available that would offer them any, the monster were clearly organized in some way and their little group must have been growing. Zombieman informed tokoyami of the random disappearances of a couple of monsters from right under the heroes noses like they were taken somewhere for some purpose which caused him to worry. Tokoyami commented about what are the hero association doing to look into the matter but he was surprised by zombieman's answer of likely nothing…the association aren't a vary proactive force and they likely believe if monsters are "leaving" and "going away" together that it is a good thing if anything they likely fear this hero hunter garou than the disappearing monsters, tokoyami was surprised that he knew of the person name but the hero explained that the man recently showed up on the bounty boards, but he did note that he hasn't been attacking heroes for the last couple of days recently which was peculiar for the hunter as he made a point to at least hunt a couple heroes daily but tokoyami told the hero that it was likely due to him being wounded from his encounter with midoriya and with that out of the way they returned to the topic at hand.
Having no luck with finding anything the two of them instead opted to simply bounce ideas off of each other, zombieman noting that tokoyami was a fairly inquisitive person and his insight could be helpful despite what the teen may think about himself. The two speculated about how everything came together they ultimately concluded that the monster on the mountain tops must have been prototypes of some kind perhaps testing the mosterfication abilities and pack capabilities of the monsters, the large mammoth may have been an experiment of this as well like lion's pride needing a male leader to organize them or so that other creature would be subservient to them which proved to be a successes so maybe the person, monster, or being was trying to take it to the next level? The two speculated but that drew more concern from the individuals as tokoyami pointed out that a dragon level monster being subservient to something could spell the appearance of a god level threat having been born or created sitch had remarked to them of a prophecy that spelled the earth's doom and this could be the reason he speculated but zombieman wasn't going to take things that far he wasn't one to believe in conspiracy theories like that but he still took the threat seriously it did definitely meant that whoever was in charge was at least a very strong dragon level threat with the potential increase in higher and if that were the case they needed to find it before it struck first but that just led them back to their first problem.
Zomebieman digress that he wished someone was actually living in this area as they would likely possess the most information about it, this being a meeting point could be a great discovery if they just had more ideas. Tokoyami remarked that a hero does live close by and said if he recalled correctly that being Genos and his master Saitama and with no other clues the two slowly made their way into the apartment. The two were mostly surprised that king was just leaving the apartment, the man giving an awkward greeting before taking his leave with mineta in toe, ojiro had also made his way out before heading over to bomb's dojo offering a greeting before the two finally made it inside where only saitama stayed as genos and the other two left to patrol and it became quickly apparent that saitama had no clue of what was happening despite living in the place so the two decided to wait and see if genos had anymore information which when the time finally arrived he didn't however bakugo did chime in that a monster he was fighting was also taken earlier on in the day and todoroki remarked that it's partners corpse was missing when they went to check on it, with no more options zombieman just advised the group of them to keep watch over the area for anything weird before tokoyami flew zombeiman off to a drop off point and the two parted ways
C-city
"I'm sorry…for you know, causing trouble for you." Midoriya murmured as he played with his food on his tray, once arriving in C-city he had hoped to speed past tatsumaki and just get his girlfriend and leave but the small woman was just extremely capable.
" Did you really attempt to use my ability for that?" he heard the second user ask him.
"Well I'll need to learn how to use it eventually, I won't just master it on the first try and your stalling for whatever reason." midoriya countered
"Ooo he's talking back." he heard the fifth user say
" In any case things are different now than when I had it, it's had the longest time to stockpile and grow stronger from the years I don't even recognize it anymore. So I only want you to use it in a do or die situation, if you killed that girlfriend of your on accident you wouldn't forgive yourself." the second countered.
"That's taking things too far." nana's voice came through
"Let's just let him enjoy his time" the first users remarked before all the voices stopped and midoriya tuned back into what uraraka was saying.
"Wh-what? Sorry I…I was distracted by my inner voices." midoriya said
"It's fine…I know you must be going through alot right now, I said that it was alright a little harder training won't be that bad…I hope." uraraka said with a laugh, midoriya smiled for a moment before it dropped again into a frown as he looked back down at his food. But Uraraka lifted his face to look at her again.
"What's happened?, is this still about eri?" Uraraka asked and Midoriya shook his head.
``Well kind of yes and no… it was about bang too…he was a bit rougher around the edges today and it just stirred up some bad emotions in me.`` Midoirya said as he took a bite of his food.
"And these emotions were about how you couldn't save eri?" Uraraka asked midoriya slightly nod his head.
"Kind of….but there was someone else as well. Do you know of a hero that goes by stars and stripes?" midoriya asked
"No but going by her name I guess she's from the states?" Uraraka guessed and midoriya nodded his head.
"All might had a brief stay in America when he first got the quirk handed down to him to escape from all for one. There he mentored her and she became the number 1 hero over there. " Midoriya said. So that was the reason some people originally thought that he was a foreigner in the beginning of his reign, she still remembered the debates about how a foreigner should never be the number 1 hero of the country forcing all might to reveal his birth certificate to the world to prove he was a native born japanese hero to squash that argument.
"Ok and what about her?" Uraraka asked.
"All might….well his vestige inside of me…it's… weeping for her.'' Midoriya said, his own tears were building off the edge of his eyes and uraraka already knew what he was getting at. Something must have happened to her back in their world….the foreign heroes were coming to help Japan in their time of crisis so it made sense that there would be conflict and potentially more casualties from the fighting.
"It's not that she was just all might apprentice that has me worried; however, stars and stripes quirk was strong. No one truly knows all the details but from what I could gather you could almost never disobey her orders or bad things will happen to you. She was hailed as the all might of the west.`` Midoriya remarked before taking a long silence as he turned to look at uraraka and a single tear going down his face.
"If all for one got his hands on a quirk like that….than how could we…how could I ever hope to stop him?...it just seems like the longer and longer we stay here the worse and worse it gets over there and by the time we do…..it might just be too late and…it's all my fau-" before he could finish that word uraraka had covered his mouth with her hand.
"It's not your fault midoriya you didn't force them to do anything ..the heroes gave their lives because they believed in the cause to oppose all for one and I'm sure they would do it all over again even if they knew the result and….and as for star…while she may be gone I doubt she would go down without a fight. If all might trained her just as well as he trained you then I'm sure that she would have done some major damage before she went down…..besides …all might is captured right? That means he is getting this information from all for one…of course that villain will make it seem like he has all the cards and in complete control, why would he tell him something that would bring him hope? Maybe he even knows about your connection and is purposely feeding him information to get to you." Uraraka explained and for a moment in time Midoriya didn't know what to think. All she said was true, extremely true…he didn't know if he was just latching on again to false hope but maybe she was right? Maybe it was all just a game all for one was playing with the two of them. He wants him to despair and give up so that taking one for all could be easier for him.
Midoriya snapped out of his thoughts as uraraka hugged him once again he returned the embrace this time another tear falling from his face as he pulled back and smiled…uraraka smiled in returned but that turned into surprise when he kissed her…she hesitated to return it as this was the first one that they shared in public but after seeing his face for a moment she decided to screw it and fully returned it, they made out for about two minutes before they pulled back and midoriya rested his forehead on hers as the two caught their breath.
"You're so perfect for me." Midoriya said suddenly, making uraraka blush heavily.
"And You're perfect for me. But we should eat before our food gets cold. We don't want to waste money now do we? `` Uraraka said and she was happy to hear the boy laugh like he usually did, her heart and body noticeably relaxed and started fluttering just upon hearing it as the two of them finally started to actually enjoy their meal.
Growth process: Flash, Iida
Iida has finally "graduated" to be able to walk on his two feet again, flash has noted that his arms should be roughly equivalent to his legs at this moment and that from now on his training will include keeping that equilibrium and that he should be able to rely on his punching techniques more often although he understood that he would likely still rely on his kicks for the moment and he would allow for a time but he would be required to still implement punches into his fighting style especially after he went through the effort of teaching some punching techniques and Iida understood where the man point he actually feared that if he didn't do what the man expected of him that he would permanently tie his feet together and this was basically confirmed when in training he didn't punch enough and the man roped his legs together for the remainder of the session and he had no doubt that he would be willing to put him out into field like that and he definitely didn't want to fight monsters that way.
It wasn't that Iida didn't value punching as a whole in fighting either, he was actually more than ever open to different attack pathways with his new awakening however overcoming years of already ingrained muscle memory would take work to do and if he were being honest flash also played apart in it as he literally couldn't use his hands in conflict do to him using them to walk around but he wouldn't state out the hypocrisy to the ninja less he decides to do something else. Currently the two were off in F-city, flash had gone off somewhere to leaving him to just wandering around in the park given that it was a semi-hot day he decided that it was best to get something to drink and stay hydrated just in case of a monster attack but he was momentarily surprised by someone quickly running out of the door seeing the man was wielding a knife and looked to be trying to escape, he reacted quickly with a quick right roundhouse kick to the man's face that dropped part of him was still disappointed in himself for just falling back into the same routine but he caught the criminal before he could get anywhere his unconscious form falling back towards the automatic doors which opened to make sure he fell to the ground unceremoniously or he would have if Iida didn't catch him before his head hit, didn't want to stack on even more damage if it wasn't needed he thought.
"Thanks for the assist." Iida heard some person say as he looked up to a man in a green jumpsuit who was currently apprehending another criminal which he put in a headlock which seemed to prove successful going by his passed out appearance but what really got Iida was how similar he looked to himself almost like he was looking at an older him abet his jawline was more pointy in comparison to his and the glasses he wore was a lot thicker than his was. Iida just said he was happy to help and the both of them waited for the police arrive to take the two would be robbers away, to fully thanks for his help the strangers decided to buy Iida a drink, while Iida initially refused saying that helping fellow heroes was its own reward the stranger was adamant about the gesture and he relented and turns out for the betters as well, as upon looking at the selection he didn't really know of any of the brands they had so glasses gave him a recommendations of his. As the two of them sat on a nearby park bench, as Iida disengaged his helmet to drink the beverage even the stranger who said his hero name was glasses said that they looked pretty similar and when shared the fact that he to wears glasses the both of them laughed at the uncanny of the situation.
"That kick you did…..it reminded me of an old teammate of mine. eyelashes `` glasses remarked slowly as he palmed his drink, Iida swore he heard the name before and instantly remembered from bakugo rambling about fodder and the picnic.
"You were once a part of the fubuki group?" Iida questioned
"Yeah, I had just entered into B-class and they approached me with a proposition..at the time I thought it would be helpful. " glasses remarked.
"Was the group toxic? " Iida questioned
"Nah nothing like that, they were a bit rougher on me being the new member and all but they still looked after me." glasses said.
"So what caused you to leave?" Iida asked, curiosity getting the better of him.
"Another hero actually…I started to get delusion with being a hero after our group failed to beat a demonic fan monster believing that I simply didn't have what it took to compete against those that were more talented than myself …but…he showed me the error of my ways a bald hero I never did get his name but he completely destroyed the fan in one punch…he told me that their was only one person that decides your limits and that's yourself…so that day onwards I decided that I would have no limit and continuously trained myself to work hard and match the burning spirit that he inspired in me that day." glasses remarked remembering the hero in question he never did get his name but he knew that person was still out there somewhere.
"That's great to hear. It's always great when hero's inspire one another to do better but why did you leave the group then? It seems that together you could have done some good deeds." Iida questioned but glasses shook his head.
"Nah the fubuki group are more just concerned about keeping the status quo insteading of actually going up the rankings, they were the complete opposite of what I now strive for …to keep moving forwards but more than that …sticking to a group would just make me to reliant on it, I don't mind teaming up once a while but to truly get stronger I decided that I needed to do it by myself." glasses confirmed before downing the rest of his drink in a single gulp.
"You're in a group too aren't you? The non-killing army?" glasses questioned.
"Yes, although it's mostly in name only we are rarely seen in more than a group of two or three." Iida remarked.
"Well I think that's a good thing and don't worry about the whole non-killing thing. I ain't one of those heroes that judges as long as the monster isn't hurting anyone anymore. Killing or capture works fine with me." glasses said
"Thank you , I understand that our group is a bit divisive for alot of heroes." Iida remarked offering a bow of respect but glasses brushed it off and offered a handshake instead as they shook hands Iida noted the scars that ran up the length of his hand up into his sleeves and maybe the entire showcasing just how serious this man was to what he was saying, he could be an inspiration to someone else someday as well Iida said aloud but glasses modestly wrote the compliment off, but before the conversation could continue an explosion was suddenly set off in the distance as dark smoke rose into the air over the city the two heroes took a glance at each other and nodded both heading towards the area, not before putting their trash in the designated bin however.
The two rushed off to go meet the inevitable threat, Iida had initially offered the man a chance to ride on his back believing that it would be easier for him to arrive at the scene faster that way but he was a man of his principles deciding to run with his own power and to his credit he wasn't that slower than he was arriving if he had to compare him to someone it was likely he was just as fast as kaminari or bakugo give or take, they arrived at the scene of the fire just in time for Iida to go in and catch another hero that was on the scene, the hero recognized himself as the B-rank hero jet nice guy, he was the only hero on the scene for the moment and said that the monster disaster level was likely that of a tiger. He described it as a bat type monster it has the unique ability to not only to send out an explosive beam with it's chest but also it had the capability to fly with its wings and send out smaller explosions with its wings and they take the form of small miniature black orbs mechanical in nature that glowed bright white before detonating. It was hard to tell if the creature was a natural monster or was created but it was definitely modified as the monster came swimming back around to finish off its prey.
Iida, glasses, and jet all dodged out of the way of the incoming bombs as the creature flew over head like a makeshift bomber given the creature relative height neither him or jet nice could actually reach the monster until it would try to swoop down and attack them with it's claws, it would mix in these closed range attacks with it's explosions to separate them before doing so but each hero was skilled and was able to give as good as they get dodging the attack and returning with one of their own although it seemed like their attacks wasn't that effective in actually hurting the creature as the monster continued this assault for at least three passes on each of them before changing tactics. its chest blast must have taken more energy than the others as it just was able to use it again in a surprise attack against glasses, could the creature recognize that among the three that were facing him that he was the least armored Iida thought? As he rushed in to move the man out of the way using his accelerate to instantly go to his max speed to intercept the attack taking it full force that sent him spiraling into a building before the explosion commenced, the explosion rocked the building's foundation and made the structure collapse on top of him both of two remaining heroes panicked and instantly tried to go see if he was ok.
Iida recovered from the attack well enough thanks to his armor and also likely due to his weighted clothing he was wearing but he didn't get out from the attack completely unscavethed he had a slight stinging pain in his chest but he could ignore it for now and continue fighting, but the action did draw his mind elsewhere for just a moment, there were no civilians in the building he just crashed into which he was very much thankful for but it begged the question where were they? He hasn't seen a single person ever since he arrived on the scene even as the battle took place over the entire block the place felt eerily empty and silent other than the fire dust and explosions launched by the creature, while he found the evac capabilities of the association fairly staggering with the numerous amount of shelters and evac points located this was something different the alarm wasn't going off until after him and glasses arrived fighting and more than that they didn't encounter any on their way here so either the attack was known in advanced which would make it strange as monster attacks were usually completely random or something else was at work here.
While he was thinking about this Iida had inadvertently left himself open for an attack but luckily for him his suit had already screamed a warning to him before the bat creature could get close to attack and their plan had worked splendidly as the bat monster came down to swipe at a seemingly distracted Iida. glasses had gather a couple of rocks from the rubble of the building to strike the creature in the face completely throwing off it's momentum and allowing Iida to land an solid kick against the creatures abdomen, stunning it with enough force to allow jet to land a solid blow as well before it was able to recover and fly back into the air. They knew the creature wouldn't let a moment like that happen again and began to play more cautiously but as it waited for it's larger explosion to recharge the crew danced around the explosions as it did so before it finally launched it out the tell tale sign of the glowing indicated it was about to use the attack and glasses quickly capitalized throwing a rock to intercept the projectile making it explode in the creatures face hurting it massively for it to begin to fall out of the sky and jet nice guy and Iida were quick to take advantage of the situation both charging at the creature and delving a thrust assisted punch the ultimate jet straight and engine boost punch.
Iida's punch had landed in the creature side damaging it's wing going straight into it's gut while jet's straight punch landed directly on the creatures face due to the angles of the attack the creature spiraled down in a rapid horizontal spin motion but was stopped as it reached the ground towards it's next target. glasses hit the creature with a strong upper, the blow landing on the monster chin and flipping it end over and until it landed on the ground unconscious. The heroes celebrated their victory as they called the association to come pick it up. And almost at perfect timing flash returned well if more than likely simply made himself none, Iida questioned if he was the one that moved the civilians out of the way of the conflict only replying with a non descript answer of "what do you think." which to Iida confirmed that yes he did, part of him was dissatisfied since if flash did that he just could have killed the monster and be done with it, it surely would have save some of the property damage caused during their fight but he at least liked that the man concerned himself enough to bother with the civilians at all, so he just thanked the hero for his contribution as the two of them continued off together, waving goodbye to glasses and jet nice guy as he went.
Shell Shock: one shotter, Momo
Momo was currently undergoing some intense sniper training exercises, one shotter had dragged her off into…well she really didn't know where but deserted area with a ton of shrubbery and places to hide which proved fairly helpful at least to one of them as momo constantly began to run and find a hiding location. The point of this exercise was for her to locate and hit oneshotter anywhere on the body which was a lot easier said than done the apparently one shooters jacket had a stealth function that would allow him to better blend in with the environment combined with the fact that unlike normal rifles which would offer an glare or glint if you found the right angle or looked in their direction with his eye monocle the hero used didn't have that issue, so she was essentially trying to find a needle in a haystack but this needle also had the capability to a hit back at her which he did consistently and methodically she was sure if he truly wanted to he could had "light her up like a Christmas tree." as he would say but he decided to play it safe striking her in the back or the arm. They were using tactical training rounds that could actively simulate bullets at least to a certain degree of accuracy.
They were essentially paintball rounds but that didn't mean it didn't hurt..a lot , hitting her dead center was almost a guaranteed K.O for at least five minutes but he forbade her from actually wearing armor sighting the necessity of feeling that pain and experiencing death for just a moment and how quickly and easily her life could be taken in an exchange to truly get her in the mindset of snipping. Another problem with the rounds was that whatever they were made of seemingly had a mild paralysis affect on the hit bod part her arms would become essentially numb making it twice as difficult to use which when trying to actually aim a rifle made matters massively more difficult even if she could spot where the hero had shot her from, the hero once he successfully shot her, he would immediately relocate which ironically enough would be momo's best chance at actually locating the man as he would be on the move, but that involved stowing the pain and shock of just being shot and completely turning towards the area and trying to spot her targets moving off in the distance. Compartmentalizing the pain is what he called it an anti-tortue technique that could help ignore the pain you have been inflicted with for brief stints of time. It was a hard skill to learn let alone master but she soon simply got numb to the pain after multiple hits. the assignment was even harder when she would be force to actually defend her weapon as well just like before she would have to lug around the admittedly cumbersome weapon as she practiced and if one shotter was able to actually land a shot on any part of the weapon it would prevent her from using it for the next five minutes and she would have to discard it after the fact and create a new one.
She had successfully managed to track him one time but that was technically was a fluke as he would call it do to her using motion alarms she would plant along as she moved around but that completely supplemented the training exercise they were doing and explained that she shouldn't completely rely on technology to save her which she would find ironic given his augmented eye attachment but she didn't want to tell the hero that mostly out of respect for him, he had told her originally he was a sniper for hire but due to circumstances that he was injured in his right eye causing him to be honorably discharged from service, not knowing much else to do in his life and him still wanting to protect people so through his connections he was able to get this device installed and continue his service through the hero association.
Momo was a bit hesitant with training under a previous mercenary but he "comforted" her with the fact that everyone that likely would want him dead were probably already dead themselves which she guessed was somewhat comforting. The two continue to practice until momo simply couldn't move any more from being shot so much all over her body and simply collapsed but she wasn't one to give up so easily she managed to angle her weapon just enough to in her collapsed state to fire it off at the hero coming up from behind her scoring a hit against his boot due to the unexpected attacked he laughed at the guts of the girl for such a play but advised that in a normal scenario using normal bullets that likely wouldn't have been possible but he wasn't a sore loser saying that she technically did past the exercise as he helped her up and get her to the showers to wash up.
Rope a dope: tank tops, ropper shell, Shoji, Sero
Sero was out again with monster ropper shell this time the hero was out on loan to K-city which coincidentally enough the same situation happened with shoji and his tank top squad. However he was only with half of his usual squad that being tank top girl and the other one being tank top tiger which made for a pretty large group to be on patrol so while offering initial greetings the two groups which split up into three went their separate ways while traveling in the City. It was essentially a natural preserve of a city that had many forests for the tourist and visitor which meant that there was also no down time of jobs the heroes could take in protecting said tourists as they ventured into the wilderness. Sero and ropper shell made a pit stop to where the lord great white was initially captured mostly because sero was still feeling a bit sorry for what he did not only to the people but also to the wild life he visited great white one more time and he had indirectly told him that after his battle with the navy he started to just cost along in J-ity killing as many fish and people as he could do to his size.
which basically is morphable depending on how much water he was in which explained the hero associations caging procedures for the creature he thought. The second place he went to was a large memorial or place of people that had gone missing for a time following the 1st month he's been here . Most of them likely weren't his fault not even indirectly but at least for some of them he knew it had to be his fault. The only thing that pulled him away from the board of people was actually saren.. that simply controlled his body to move onwards, the appearance of which scared ropper shell for a moment but saren had no interest in him and just moved sero away from the board and further into the city with the other hero chasing after him to ensure that he didn't do anything out of the ordinary but he didn't do much of anything but move a couple of blocks away from the makeshift memorial and relinquish it's control of the teens body simply stating that his grief was becoming "annoying" but sero thanked the spirit nonetheless.
The two of of them continued on their patrol for a moment before coming across a couple of low level monsters now K-city was bit interesting in the fact that monsters were a somewhat natural part of certain forests and ecosystems well at least ones that are threat level wolf and or somewhat lower they offer the association a chance to test study monsters in the wild and compare them to their more normal counterparts. So it was impartial for these low level monster to be captured and brought back alive which was fairly odd for this world he considered but he wouldn't be one to look a gift horse in the mouth the monsters weren't much of anything special two wolf level threats one in the image of a squirrel but about 4 times the normal size with two tails and two mouths with 3 eyes…both mouths contained sharp nearly serrated teeth and the second monster was more so just a large weird deer it's legs protruded sharp horns from all sides and the antlers were considerably rounder almost like a goats although it was dangerously close into piercing into its own eye.
The two quickly got to work in restraining both monsters, monster ropper shell made the joke of taking on the smaller squirrel monster and leaving the larger dear creature to him and while monster ropper was able to take down the small animal relatively ok with not much trouble the same couldn't be said about sero and the deer the issue really revolve around keeping it constantly wrapped up, he would dodge around it's charges wrapping it with his tape but the thing could actually sprout even more horns from its body to cut it off, after failing for around minute however saren actually gave him a hand in this regard lambasting him for struggling with such a "pitiful" opponent his body seemingly moving on it's own while he was still in control and he watched as his new tape that he produced completely restrained the creature before sero got full control of his body back. He asked saren what brought that on for him to help but the ghost simply ignored the question wanting sero to focus more on the feeling he just gained from using his quirk and he partially understood more, thinking of the tape more like an extension of himself like he was reaching out through it and tensing it to harden it but he still couldn't do so himself just yet, which saren said he would need to work on.
Elsewhere in K-city
The tank tops were actually called to K-city for a specific task: to stop illegal poachers of animals and monsters. The rangers had actually originally sought out forest lord do to his ability with animals but they would settle for forest general and some support from the tank tops..there had apparently been a group of poachers that had been going around and collecting a selling the protected wildlife of K-city and selling them off to buyers and their group was in charge of putting a stop to it, the rangers were tipped off by an anonymous source that their was going to be a hit during the day time which surprised the group which would have assumed doing an operation like this in the night time would have likely been a more wise strategy but they explained that the tactic used by these poacher were to cause a distraction by freeing a load of likely already pre-captured monsters before they make a dash for the monster or animal they truly wanted in the first place so with forest general they had hoped to just straight up circumvent that strategy with having him control the monsters while they captured the criminals and for a moment shoji breathed a sigh of relief that koda wasn't here as he wouldn't know how people would react with them predicating their plan on something koda simply couldn't do.
With forest general however who explained that, his ability wasn't something like his teachers and that he could only talk to animals they had to revise there plan the tank tops were mostly their to provide muscle to tackle and suppress either other criminals or monsters which could attack in the ensuing chaos. The alternate plan was now to get forest general into position where he could use his powers to at least get a majority of the animals out of the picture at the very least it would allow for him to separate the animals and monsters to really getting an idea what the targets would be when the chaos actually starts and potentially if it's possible to convince the monster that is being kidnapped to not fight with them. The rangers already had an idea of which monsters and animals would likely be the ones for capture and would assign the tank top squad around the designated areas. They didn't want to let the poachers know that they were on to them so they didn't want heroes to be seen until the action actually started.
Forest general powers were different from koda's in a number of ways but for the current mission the most important was the actual range of his ability. He could mentally control and manipulate animals but he could only do it from a set distance of about 100 meters for now and the more animal or monster he tried to tap into the more it would drain him would have made him somewhat of a liability shoji believed but luckily for him he had a pet with him an extremely large one it appeared to be a large hawk like creature, it just had came to him one day and after having it talk to koda about it he realized that it was actually one of his birds that he had controlled form so long ago when he first met his friends a month ago, he was saved by them again and he came to me some time after the bird while not to much larger than normal being about 5x bigger than a gyrfalcon was strong enough to lift him up by the shoulder and carry him away to safety which would be the plan after he safely separated the monsters and animals from each other.
The traps was sprung soon after and went off without much of a hitch there was an incident where an armored truck that slammed through the gates of the park and rushed in to the park and as it tipped over releasing a number of monsters causing a wide panic as civilians and park goers attempted to flee the area. Just as the rangers expected a large group of men had detoured and moved through the crowd with an extreme and uncanny focus, that instantly caught the group attention their target was a monster it was a small fox creature that furry tail was made out of pure authentic diamond and could shed that tail come winter, it wasn't very shocking discovery but one that they were prepared for as the tank topper emerged to combat the criminal before they could get to the foxes den. The fighting lasted just a couple of minutes as the criminals were quickly apprehended forest general didn't take part in the fighting but was mostly trying his best to keep the monsters and other animal away from them as the fighting commenced as expected the delicate ecosystem was completely left in ruins and the somewhat social wolf level and below level monster were whipped up into a frenzy essentially striking out against anything that moved their way. But just as the battle neared their conclusion a sudden rumble stopped all of the monsters cold as they stood their and shivered in place shoji at first thought it was forest general that did so but as he looked up at the man in the tree, he saw that he was mostly just unconscious …the last of the criminals just went down when another large rumble shook seemingly the entire park but that was just the start a large, what could only be described as sinkhole opened up and a haunting screeched filled the air and all of the monster that were moments ago rampaging stopped and moved towards the whole jumping down into and disappearing even forest general's pet was nearly effected but it returned to the man some time later only flying over the large whole to peer inside. In just under five minutes when the rumble began and the screech had laid to bare the hole in the ground was completely caved in leaving everyone wondering what just happened.
Just a leap away: Child emperor, Forte, asui, mina, Jiro
Tsu was a bit surprised when she got the letter that she was on loan to Y-city which meant that she was going to be in the same city that jiro and mina would be in so she would at least have friends their to back her up although she was a bit nervous as she realized she wouldn't have the constant protections of watchdog man, although child emperor was in the area he didn't necessarily mostly being content to just work on his machines which she would have slighted the child prodigy for but she guessed that his machines and equipment was the way he fought monsters so he's technically still helping out in his own ways and going by mina's and Jiro experience he would still offer his help from time to time if they simply radioed him in and he would send one of his robots on the way to help them so they still did have a bit of a safety net but she still doubted it being the same feeling as having watchdog man and his insane speed their watching over her.
Jiro recommended having the child hero look over her gear to check and see if there isn't anything she would like upgraded. Tsu momentarily thought that she didn't really think she needed much in the way of tech like the other two and her costume seemed to fit her fairly well. Mina suggested that maybe she should do something about the large binoculars she had on her head and that maybe she could turned them into something smaller and more compact and she did have a point with that it would be less of a target and not likely be needed to be held onto very often and jiro also added that child emperor would probably hook it up with so many different vision options for even extra special care which she would also benefit from although she did have her biased towards the large binoculars as it was supposed to complete her semblance to her frogself but she guessed under the current circumstances she could forgo it just for now although she would like to keep it the yellow color if possible. Another potential upgrade she could make suggested by jiro was to have something similar to mina's acid throwers and that also was a possibility she was maybe a little to concerned about mimicking frogs with the way she did things and forget that that could as well be a solution so she decided to take both of their suggestions and ask child emperor if he could do anything about them. Her mucus slinger however too not step to much in Mina's toes as the pink girl would say, it would not be on her hands but on top of the padding on her wrist it would make the most sense for placement given it was mostly utilized as a vacant padding for hands. She also thought about an advancement herself similar to midoriya steel toe boots, something like that which could improve the effectiveness of her kicks would likely be helpful as well she thought as the three of them made it into Y-city.
Thinking about suits asui was also happy that she was finally get break with her training suit now that she was in another city, watchdog man likely couldn't really give it to her but that was soon dashed as child emperor told her about something that dahlia had dropped off for her and sure enough it was the training suit again and the likely outcome happened which she feared mina was struck with laughing fever as she bared witnesses to the suit when she put it on. jiro was more sympathetic to her cause and didn't laugh and even offered her the option of not wearing the suit in its entirety given that watchdog man wasn't there to supervise her but asui persisted the cat was mostly out of the bag now and she didn't want to skimp out on her training, so while mina and her teacher were practicing and getting warmed up and asui was talking with child emperor about a few equipment upgrade, jiro had the time to herself so she mostly used to get warmed up herself for the patrol and text her boy-….to text the electric idiot and see what he was doing but given that his response was just an incoherent mess of an answer she realized that he must have been in his brain fired mode..she did smirk at that fact that even despite being in that state he was still able to at least partially reply to her and from what he's told her at least she was the only person he was able to actually perform that for which shouldn't have had the effect on her that it did but it always made her smile and swoon…the idiot.
With the final preparation out of the way the group of four left out of the lab and started on their patrol and they weren't stalled for time either. Almost immediately stepping foot outside the alarm had gone of a tiger level threat terrorizing a nearby area once the crew had actually gotten their they realized the monster was a short golem type creature that could spit lava from it's mouth, the fighting between the group and the monster was more of one of keep away, Jiro would use her sound walls defensively to block the lava the monster would spit out allowing for mina and asui to restric it's movements with maximum viscosity acid and her sticky mucus to at least slow the monster down el forte was more along the lines bashing the monster from up close despite the golem rocky nature he was still able to hurt and stagger the monster with his blows ultimately leading to their succumb to the assault without much problems, the next thing the group had put a top to was flash robbery, this was fairly simple given asui latsest ability she was able to use her paralysing spray to essentially stop of falter a good majority of the robbers cold those that proved more resilient due to clothing their clothing was easily stopped by mina and jiro. The last monster they faced before going on break for a moment was a group of them…these monsters were humanoid in nature and called themselves the superiors.
They were humans that were actually part snake in different ways or forms. Some were snake-like from the legs down were like snakes technically making them lamia's others simply only had snake eyes and mouths, while one in particular had just a snake head entirely. The person really brought asui back to her friend and because of which almost got her poisoned if it wasn't for forte to kick the man off her. Mina and forte danced among the half a dozen monsters with grace as they dodged out of the way of attacks and countered with flashy ones of their own, jiro mostly opted to stay back and fire from range if the opportunity arises or if any of them tried to flee, asui getting her head back on straight reengaged the monsters and they were swept up and carted off in no time. The group decided to catch a break there and get a bite to eat, asui explained what had happened to her during the last fight and why she zoned out. Both girls sympathized with her, mina wanting to change the mood of the discussion once again asked the girl about posting a picture of her in the group chat with her training suit on, she had been asking for some time on their patrol but asui denied almost every time except this one where she finally relented.

"Was there really a point to that mina, ribbit?" asui asked
" Well …shining light did admit that you look good in it soo, I guess that's a win." Mina said mostly to herself with a cheeky smile.
"Still surprises me that you can be all about someone else's love life when you're still a mess." Jiro commented, making the girl frown for a moment.
'Well not everything could be as simple as yours and uraraka's.'' Mina replied back.
"Pretty sure they could be if you just talk to him." asui said.
"I'm not as good with being blunt as you are." Mina remarked, simply causing the other two girls to just share a glance before rolling their eyes.
"But I am curious, do you like tokoyami?" Mina asked
"As I told Jiro sometime back. I think he's cute but I don't really need to be in a relationship with him. If he asks me then I'll give him a shot. It's not really a big deal for me." asui remarked simply with a shrug.
"I see." Mina said absently in thought.
"I'm curious though the whole three personalities wouldn't be like a pass?" Jiro asked next
"I guess it could be something to get used to but I like how dark shadows act and I'm sure given time I'll like shining light as well, she seems like a swell lady..eh quirk it's not like I would literally be going out with three different people. Ribbit." asui said with another shrug.
" Well, what about in some of the more intimate moments that you two could share? It'll be like multiple people are watching you. " Mina said with a teasing tone and while a slight blush was drawn to the girl's face her tone never faltered or heightened from it's usual tone.
" I guess you raise a point there..but I'm sure that they won't physically be present themselves during such acts." asui mentioned with another shrug.
"Besides in benefit it would be like your own guardian angel constantly watching over you." Jiro pointed out which both girls nodded at, asui thought about it some more and was sort of surprised that neither girl mentioned kissing the boy given his bird head and beak but thinking about her talk with shoji the other day both of them may have found such a question disrespectful or hurtful to the guy which she silently praised the two for but it still was a valid question that she would need to think about in the advent that he does actually ask her out or something like that. The girls continued with their meal before meeting back up with forte at child emperor's lab to continue out on their patrol.
Fast as lighting: lighting genji, kaminari
Just like his mentor told him previously unlike before where he go and train in voltens dojo, this time around before he got on the train to X-city he was intercepted in his efforts in the subways of the association by Genji , once meeting up with his fellow disciple he altered their course to go towards D-city apparently the hero had been made in charge of D-city some time after they had arrived kaminari not knowing what that actually entailed the hero explained to him the system. Heroes were distributed throughout the continent on a case by case basis something that he already knew of but what he didn't know was that each hero applied to the city by the association had a leader these leader or supervisor were to answer essentially straight to the association about the going ons in the city proper but kaminari was confused wasn't that the job of the cities committees he questioned and the answer was yes and no. while each cities committees would be in communication with the association to grade the cities safety or hold events and competitions, it was the leader or supervisors job to monitor the hero's themselves and report damages from major monsters attacks from demon or above threats.
However being a leader/supervisor essentially meant that the hero in question was confined to that city in particular unless the association personally gave them a request to head out which made sense to kaminari, they wouldn't want their main leader to be out and away even when they had back up or replacement available. This stagnant hero work was also a reason that most supervisors were never S-class heroes, at least officially speaking. Genji theorized that most if not all of the S-class would probably make poor city supervisors as they don't really engage in much with the city and any time they actually do a good majority of the conflict ends with a good level of property damage that the association would have to clean up and the relationship between the S-class and association seemed to be a tenuous one at best if he were to guess and kaminari could echo the sentiment somewhat being around drive knight for a lot he almost never seen the hero actually go out on patrol for himself and mostly just working on his projects and experimenting with monsters.
As the two finally entered into D-city, Kaminari was completely shocked to see the level of damage that was present; it seemed like a wave of buildings and structures were just gone a little bit farther into the distance of the shelter, genji explained that it was some ginormous monster that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, no hero in the city could do anything against it but save and preserve as many civilians as they possibly could before it struck out again. Kaminari remembered momo talking about a similar monster over B-city and genji acknowledged that they were indeed the same creature it started here before going over to that city and getting taken out but he guessed the hero whoever it was that took it out forgot or more likely didn't take into consideration of where the monster would have fell and it crushed a good portion of B-city damaging it even worse than what kaminari was seeing their. Kaminari assumed that was probably one of the reasons for his main theory behind his S-class analysis from before.
The two started their patrol mostly heading over to the disaster area first and foremost just to monitor the progress of reconstruction as genji wouldn't know when the association would call for an update and after that was concluded the two started their patrol..the hero's stationed in D-city weren't that plentiful being one of the smaller regions on the continent there were only two A-class heroes station in the city along the other being crescent eyebroll, they also had four B-class heroes along with 10 C-class heroes as well. But referring to the other A-class hero and other heroes brought up another interesting case that the hero had to check up on which were the rated heroes the crescent was watching over. He still wasn't totally comfortable with having criminals roam free disguised as heroes but he couldn't deny the recent monster attacks which likely forced the hero associations hand along with the supposed hero hunter lurking around and hospitalizing heroes made the situation even worse so he tolerated their presence and always ensuring their watch by either himself or crescent to ensure that they stay in line which for the most part they did.
They did a quick check up with the other hero before taking their leave however, Lady death didn't squander the opportunity to talk to Kaminari about where Iida was but he honestly didn't know either but after some coaxing he did text the president that she said hi. After completing most of his surveys and checkups the two of them were finally able to get started on patrolling the city there had been a number of smaller scale alarms going around but mostly of wolves and tigers that Genji assured that the other heroes could take part of. Now it was finally time for both of them to cut loose as kaminari called it, he popped a lighting capsule activated his lighting god form and the two of them raced around the city looking for the next monster to popped up or criminal that needed to be taken care of the two of them zoomed across the streets in a billow of smoke and lighting. Genji in part wanted to patrol this way to get kaminari in a better understanding of how to use his power in the field avoiding not only structures but people as well, this one somewhat easier for kaminari as he somewhat of a buffer thanks to his electric sense that would tell him of people that would have been in his way. The two of them stopped a couple of would-be criminals as they passed certain spots. The two lighting duos worked together finishing a group of escaping convicts with a two hit combo before quickly moving on not even stopping to pick it up the convicts as he assured him that others would do it for them.
The two of them flew around the city fighting crime to together for some time the only time they actually had to stop was when genji would ask for a recharge on his, skates he explained that they were powered by electricity but it was a double edged sword in that the same source that he draws on to move quickly is the same one that he uses for his two batons which meant his time in the field was always limited by how much charge he had and he would admit that a part of his decisions to take him on over max was that he could constantly recharge him while in the field as well although a larger part was also due to the fact that he wanted his fellow disciple to continue with his training as the super tournament was closing in, kaminari asked the hero who was did he think would win between their former master and max, he was undecided while he respected their master strength a lot but ever since the J-city incident he's been redoubling his efforts chasing after an invisible target, likely the fishman that beat him if he had to guess which kaminari could respect. The two raced around the city some more until kaminari was down to his last lighting god capsule that was when the two fogone training and instead did some sparring for a moment it was then that kaminari asked the fellow hero about how he came up with his own style of fighting and how he could do the same.
Working hard and smart: darkshine, Pig god, Bone, Kirishima, Sato
Sato and kirishima was back in the gym with darkshine and bone, this time around the two of them were actually joined by pig god and food batter futoshi although it became fairly apparent that working definitely wasn't in the other heroes' wheelhouse, everytime the hero would try to resolve himself to lifting his fat stores would immediately go away and completely leave the man exacerbated and anorexic which initially made both kirishima and sato a bit apprehensive about wanting the man to continue weight lifting in such a state but darkshine seemingly had different plans seeing a little bit of himself in the C-class hero and wanting him to improve just like he did all that time ago and due to such an occasion he broke some special weights which were only a few kilograms weight surprising bone at least given that he would imagine that the association would only stockpile weights as low as the bare minimum requirement for entering into the association which was at least a couple hundreds of kilograms.
Darkshine had confirmed that assumption but him training kirishima and his friends made him reconsider some of those assumptions especially going off of the experience he had with uravity the other day, while she was strong for a girl her size he considered she did also fall below the association requirement for weightlifting and only got by using her ability and darkshine speculated that this likely applied to a number of espers as well. His experience with tatsumaki also proved this fact given that while he would no doubt say the girl was powerful he just couldn't help but imagine if her body was just a strong as her espers powers were with that green glow of hers and his darken shine no monster could ever hope to stand in their way.
In either case Futoshi really did appreciate the smaller weights, nothing but small 20kg kid dumbbells but in his dilapidated state it was mostly enough to still give the man a workout even more if his heavy breathing and shaking was anything to go by. Sato and Kirishima compartly were working with almost 500 times the weight bench pressing the weight for a good couple of reps before all of them moved along to the next exercise which was the treadmill food battler took it nice and slow while kirishima, sato , and bone all competed to see who had the best cartio between them while it was clear as day that bone was faster than both of them even without his bone enhancement from the milk but speed wasn't much of anything special he instructed them as long as they could keep the stamina going long enough to wear the faster opponent down..they likened it to the toritus and the hare both older heroes were fairly surprised that they know of that story it was fairly rare in their world as folktales like that was mostly discarded some time ago. Bone reference a particular story that was similar lurking around the web that went similar but was involved with fighting , no one knew if it was real or not but their was a rumor going around between a battle between darkshine and flash that was said to be essentially never ending flash was simply to fast for darkshine to catch but darkshine was simply to durable leaving he battle to end in a draw but people would add that in the scenario where flash and darkshine had to continuously fight each to the death than darkshine would win but flash fans remained unconvinced.
Bone asked darkshine if there were any truth to these online stories but the man seemed to just stop and stared off into the distance with nothing but a blank expression on his face, like he was recalling a vivid memory for just a moment before he suddenly dropping the large weight he was holding in his hands and the loud clang as they hit the floor was the only thing that seemed to snap him out of that trance and the only thing that prevented a number of the people in the gym from seeing a noticeable shiver run up his spine before the large man focused back into reality but completely ignored the question as he had just asked everyone to leave out towards the cafeteria to get a bite to eat as he called it for the day…most of the group found the interaction weird even pig god didn't know much mearley shrugging his shoulders at the incident but he was never one to turn down a good meal and food battler definitely looked like he could use a meal from his training.
So after getting a good meal out of the way and having nothing much else to do the group of five all left out to patrol they didn't know what city they were going go to so after some brief discussions, the group ultimately decided to patrol W-city, given the large entourage they had already pig god decided to venture out by himself for this patrol session leaving the others in the hands of bone instead and with bone in charge things didn't really lighten up for the protegees the group immediately started their patrol with a jog working from block to block just to see if they could find anything of interest of course monsters alarms would pop up every now and again to turn their jog into a sprint to see if they can get to the scene in time and for the most part they did.
the group of them were able to successfully beat three monsters, two of class wolf and one tiger along with stopping a few criminals who attempted to take advantage of the monster attacks all day. It was fairly bog standard for the group even without pig god to watch over them. Kirishima and Sato even got a decent reward for capturing a B-rank criminal before calling it for the day. The group mostly found pig god by locating restaurant challenges and joined him from their this time however the entire group also joined in the fun, although even comparing the sizes of the same challenge to pig god's version of the challenge was still seemed small, pig god explained that a lot of restaurants have actually started creating separate challenge menus for him just in the hope of stumping him but none have succeeded so far as he simple sucked down the ultra large100 pounds burger along with 2 barrels of fries with no difficulty.
The other burgers were also fairly large even though small compared to pig gods each burger was bigger than there very heads and had all sorts of collectibles on them making it even larger this along with two sides of fries had to be eaten within the hour to complete the challenge and while the group tried their best valiantly none of them other than futoshi was actually able to win…futoshi using his unique body to his advantage doing physical exercise to decrease his weight rapidly before restoring it with his next bite of his food. The group had a nice laugh as they paid their bill and made their way back to the association or in the case of futoshi and bone said their goodbyes right there and then as they parted ways.
A star versus A punk: sweet mask, metal bat, aoyama, koda
Koda was a bit nervous the past couple days, when suddenly in the middle of his boxing practice sweet mask and aoyama showed up with a properistion for him. It was simple enough of a request for him to essentially be an animal "trainer" for his next play. The trainer part was mostly just for show when it came to him he wanted him to command a flock of birds to do things while he sang his song. At first he was pretty excited about the prospect. He never really thought of using his powers like that for more entertainment services but he was happy to help bring smiles to people's faces. But that didn't mean everything was going smoothly the first of the problems was definitely between sweet mask and his interactions with aki and torax but more specifically torax while he could semi tolerate aki presence and treat her somewhat like any other regular animal torax was a whole different ball game especially every time he spoke which would remind him of that fact and it wasn't like the tiger was trying to be challenging but it didn't like the dismissive and demeaning tone that the star would take with him and he wouldn't call it by his name only by the title of monster at least for the first day and while koda could take a couple of those things himself, he wouldn't stand for that when it came to them so he required the star to call torax and aki by their names if he wanted him to cooperate for his concert which the star reluctantly agreed to.
Aoyama had told him plenty that the star's attitude towards the monster wasn't likely to change no matter what he did so didn't ask to treat them with more respect or anything of that nature just to avoid an argument. This was spurred on again with the revelation that torax was a demon level threat which he would have thought would put the star even more on edge around the cat but really just ended up with more chastising from the star as he started to probe the cat for motive and what was stopping it from just killing koda and escaping somewhere off again, the tiger simply answered the query saying he simply had nowhere to go and anywhere he may go would eventually be inhabited by humans and cause conflict where he would eventually have to fight heroes and of course he admitted that he would indeed kill a few but going off what he's seen someone would just kill him eventually so he concluded that he might as well stay around he could venture around the city, taste human food and don't have to worry about fighting unless some else starts it of course. The star accepted the answer for a moment before countering with a theory of his based on a number of monster disappearances that's been happening lately. If they discover a cove or village of monsters would he just up and leave to join them? Koda himself wasn't sure about the answer to this question as the answer was rather simple as torax replied that he likely already declined such an invitation.
Which immediately garnered the stars interest and Koda explained to him what happened yesterday and some of their theories on what's been happening, but the fact that a dragon level monster had also left wherever these monsters were going did put the star somewhat on edge and curious about what was really happening or what was potentially coming. He then asked torax and this time including aki in the conversation as well that in the advent that this collision of monsters were preparing to launch an attack on humanity on which side would they choose, going on his prior answer he explained that the leading reason he doesn't do anything now was for self preservation purposes but if that no longer applied if this monster group had enough strength to completely topple the current society what would they do then? Aki's answer was almost immediate; she said she wouldn't join them, torax on the other hand took a little bit longer to answer and when he finally did he didn't answer the question directly, only saying that he wouldn't betray the ones who have helped him so far. Everyone knew it was a cop out of an answer and not one that the star wanted to hear but the conversation was derailed and from thor when metal bat had entered into the situation and it died there as well although it wasn't forgotten.
Having all that done and squared away, things had gotten somewhat better between the two Koda likened the two's interaction like two apex predators fighting for territory while they may bark, threaten, posture but they would not result to violence unless extremely provoked which thankfully never actually happened. The second problem not shockingly to koda became bad, while he could tell that bad didn't like the star very much whether that was due to their essentially different and clashing personalities or the fact that star was basically his little sisters favorite person in the world other than him and he probably didn't like the competition. If koda had to speculate it was likely due to both but he struggled to guess which was actually the greater anger. Usually anything involving their sister would be his best bet but he truly didn't know. The first thing sweet mask and bad did on their first day was basically sweet mask ridiculing bad in every shape imaginable whether that be from how he dressed, acts, and fights it was a part of his supposed "evaluation" that he wanted to do with all of the S-class heroes going forward but bad care little for the "girly man's" words as he continued to do things his own way.
After that supposed evaluation was out of the way and he learned of the star wanting koda's involvements with the his newest concerts the slightly older teen smelled the perfect opportunity to get even more in his little sisters gracious by forcing koda to attempt to strong arm the star in giving him and his sister some VIP tickets to the event which the star promptly saw through to the real mastermind behind him asking and after some arguing a fight quickly broke out between the two it was a fairly drawn out battle that lasted 30 minutes aoyama was a bit surprised to actually see the star hurt in all his time working with the hero he was never hurt not once so when 10 minutes past and the bat swinging hero was finally able to land a blow against him and it noticeably took his breath away aoyama was shocked of course the star responded with an even harder attack himself but the bat swinging man remained standing and the two kept at it for some time when the 20 minute mark hit koda was starting to get worried for the environment, everything was starting to get smashed up by bad and the fight had taken on a fevers pitch as both combatants drew some blood from the other but no one wanted to get in between the two monster that were battling at that moment when 30 mins finally hit..the only thing that stopped them was that bad had gotten a call form his sister which he boldly claimed that the star would happily give him her tickets and surprisingly the star agreed.
The star made clear he didn't care about the call in general but he would grant the hero tickets due to his strength. The star left soon after that day but not before saying another clause for the tickets were that the tiger would also have to be apart of the play, he left no room for debate or argument from the tiger as he left soon after and aoyama noticed how despite the injuries he must have sustain from getting hit by that metal bat the star did not go to an infirmary or loose stride if anything he seemed to have been getting better and better as the day went along leading aoyama to believe that he may have had regeneration perhaps? But the hero didn't confirm or deny his hypothesis. Yesterday was mostly just about getting everything together torax was admittedly less than pleased with the star forcing him to be a part of the show but apparently the tiger had been scheming with metal bat about something which completely shocked koda given their own ruff relationship but he guessed that the two had a common enemy and were willing to let their own grudge settle between them for the moment. Aoyama was nervous about what the two could be planning as he feared the repercussions of such an action with sweet mask especially when it came to his work but Koda assured that it was likely to be harmless at least he hoped neither would actually tell them what they were planning.
The day of the concert finally came and the showed kicked off just as was expected koda's roles in the procedure were to have the a large flock of doves fly around the coliseum, at first they would simply circle around below the lights but than the lights would cut off and the birds would go and pick up a number of of glow sticks and fly around the arena making the cloud ooh and aww at the spectacle, before dropping them down into the crowd for the audience. The lights came back on with a large roar as torax slowly entered into the stage from behind the hero some of the audience was nervous especially as torax grew to his full height of 40ft but sweet mask continued singing and easeed the crowd slowly back into it especially when the singer comfortably places himself on top of the creatures large head, koda had the birds circle around the large tiger as the hero continued to sing but a surprise web shot out from the tiger tail and lifted zenko into the air and that's when bad only message about what was happening clicked for him he that better "catch" the target with an intimidating amount of seriousness. So koda definitely didn't want to mess this up he called forth 7 doves to come and lift the child that was hurling through the air and flew her safely on to torax besides sweet mask, sweet mask for his credit only slip up for half a second from the unexpected display but rolled with the scene as the crowd went wild again, even playing along and lifting the small girl so she sat on his shoulder while he sung. The rest of the performance went off pretty much the same as planned torax would shrink back down and sweet mask got off but he had to go to the extra effort of setting zenko back down in her sweet before returning back to the stage to finish the song and closing out the show, he even brought koda on to thank for the use of his monsters and to show people that he really could control them.
After the closing ceremony the group all began to scatter to the back aoyama could tell that sweet mask was fairly livid about the impromptu display but he didn't attack either of them whether this was do to the fact that both of them were looking to fight this time around or that zenko was present for it koda and aoyama could not tell. The star simply left with a warning that if such an event like this happens again he should be informed prior, he didn't want to look like he was favoring a fellow hero sibling over the other people in the VIP section for such a display and quickly made his leave, koda and torax breathed a sigh of relief as bad was still to overcome with joy with the large hug his sister was giving him for the special day to respond to the star although he sucked his teeth thinking about how he would ever top this moment for her in the future but for now he basked in his sisters glow as the group made their leave for the day after the after party.
Deliberations: Class 1A
Everyone was came back and met in the living room as they usually would do, the conversation this time around was around was mostly around the weird disturbances that's been happening lately revolving around the monsters the teens actually had a surprised guest this time around as well Chemonille had come to visit with his bird farukuro and while aki wanted to play with the large bird there was bit more important topic at hand to be discussed for the bird as koda interpreted.
{" there was something in the park today it called all of the monster in the vicinity with a large roar that simply told them to come, the monsters all flocked to the voice and jumped down the hole into the waiting maw of a giant purple centipede type creature it mandibles and glowing yellow eyes were the only thing I could see with a simple fly over."} the bird said ominously still shivering as if just from the thought of seeing the thing. It was Iida that surprisingly immediately reacted standing up sharply with extreme worry laced in his tone.
"Are you sure it was a centipede?" Iida asked and after koda interpreted the bird slowly nodded its head. Iida pinched the bridge of his nose as he looked distraught.
"What's wrong? Why is that so important?" Shoji asked.
"I have looked into and been reading up on the history of the association and there is a record of such a creature, a giant purple centipede that went by the name of elder centipede it was a dragon level threat and a strong one at that." Iida said with more worry. " Iida remarked, making everyone slightly gasp in shock.
"If it's a part of that group as well, this marks the second dragon level threat that we know of to join their ranks." Tokoyami remarked this earned some surprise but it was Midoriya's very own shivering that drew everyone's attention next even as Uraraka tried to comfort him.
"What's wrong midoriya? Is it something to do with our world again?" Uraraka questioned but surprisingly he shook his head.
"That monster elder centipede, I've heard about him before….I did some research into the S-class heroes of this world mostly blast and I found that he was the one that defeated it." Midoriya said but people were confused about where he was coming from but his childhood friend immediately understood.
"Defeated? Not killed?" he questioned in an agitated tone.
"Yes… even with my connections to bang and being an S-class myself I couldn't find out much but elder centipede was able to get away somehow." Midoira said with a hesitant nod as he looked at everyone but leave it to someone to point out the very obvious implication.
"Wait, the same guy that was able to stop your strongest attack with just a finger wasn't able to kill this thing!?" Mineta screeched out suddenly before getting his mouth taped shut by sero.
"Look we don't know…how strong blast was back then..right he could have gotten stronger since that initial incident happened.' Sero tried and failed to turn the atmosphere around but it stayed because that line of reasoning could have also applied to the monster as well. Another unmistakable truth also began to run through their heads as well that this creature and maybe the one from the other day were likely at least as strong as all might and all for one in their primes so them coming together just seemed like some horrible doomsday scenario. Not to mention them amassing monsters to come to their aid. Elder centipede would also be the reason why the two monster that both momo and bakugo seen were both centipede types.
"Well….I…if I Had to put some benefit to this, we could potentially know the boss of the group of monsters we were speculating about…" Tokoyami offered and the group still remained silent.
"We don't know that for sure though." Shoji countered.
"Well if what Midoriya said is true, then… maybe…this elder centipede wants revenge but against blast and he's building an army to do that. Ribbit?" Asui defended and the teens sat in thought once more each pondering that fact, the mood was dreadful and intense as they thought about what other monstrosities could potentially await them and if there were any other dangerous members of this group.
"In any case we need to find their hideout before they have the opportunity to strike, if any of you find any other information please inform me so I can tell zombieman and hopefully the association as well." tokoyami said.
"And their is always blast himself right? He beat this guy before. What's to say he can't do it again?" kaminari offered as well and this did lift the spirits slightly.
"And the other S-class aren't anything to scoff at either, tatsumaki and bang are also incredibly strong." Uraraka said and she could noticeably feel Midoriya relax at the mention, he first hand saw what tatsumaki was like and how strong she was time and time again.
"yeah , yeah and darkshine plenty strong himself… no monster has ever been able to hurt him from what he's told me." Kirishima said, raising a fist in the air as all their spirits started to rise. Midoriya had stopped shaking and his worries noticeably subsided as he thought about his friends and the upcoming ensuing conflict..that's right he realized they were all around the very top of the hero association members all strong members of themselves his friends should be ok in the upcoming inevitable conflict, soon after the atmosphere slowly raised as things went back to some semblance of normal although it was still on everyone mind Chemonille and farukuro took their leave.
"Speaking of bang…midoriya, he kicked us all out today." ojiro said and midoriya immediately looked up to him with a questioning gaze.
"Woah why?" toru questioned
"It was about garou…the association has officially put his name up on the bounty boards; he's an S-class level criminal." ojiro announced to the class. An midoriya finally made the connection with what bang had told him during the festival nearly a week ago, the days they had left he said meaning he knew when the association would do this and likely work something out while he was unconscious.
"Oh I see…well the same thing happened with me as well. Bomb said classes are suspended for the foreseeable future as the two looked for garou." toru announced and Midoriya's nerves flared a little again.
"What are you three going to do now then?" Momo asked.
"Well for me, bomb said I should train with another dojo for the moment but me and Jackie are planning to train together most of the time here now." toru explained
"Well bang didn't give us another dojo to train under but me and charanko were planning something similar to practice here in headquarters. You can join us if you want midoriya." ojiro said and midoriya merely nodded his head. Well at least he could keep an eye on those two for now, he thought. The class were beginning to separate again but as bakugo went passed aki to get to the door the bear cub quickly leaped up and latched onto his hip, and continued to smell him more closely, ah bakugo was swept up in the events and forgot to tell the who he was fighting when the centipede came to snatch it.
"Me and Todoroki ran into the other two from the mountain, the cat and minotaur. To keep a long story short the cat is dead but the minotaur was captured alive." bakugo replied simply and as koda relayed that to aki the cub finally let bakugo go and take his leave. Koda turned to see what torax reaction was like, the tiger didn't say anything as it went to go into their secondary home but Koda was sure that he heard them and he still wanted a real answer to sweet mask questions so with aki in toe he followed the tiger into the room.
{Wh-what are your thoughts on the situation?} Koda asked with a degree of nerves. Speaking with his anivoice so aki would be fully privy to the conversation
{If you're asking the same question as the blonde did before then my answer remains the same.} torax remarked simply
{And if I said that wasn't good enough?} Koda remarked. And the tiger stopped walking and turned to look at him as he let out a sigh.
{what do you care more for your life or your race?} torax asked simply, koda was momentarily stumped by the question.
{wh…what do you mean?} Koda asked, the tiger chuckled for a moment. Before turning and heading deeper into the forest area.
{As I said I will protect those that haven't wronged me…in whatever form that may take.} the tiger remarked simply as he slinked off into the forest, his fur blending into the environment, leaving koda to digest those words.
{see he said he will protect us no matter what!} aki yipped happily and koda merely nodded his head as he rubbed the girls face…he didn't decide to correct her however as that's not what he said, going off his two questions he asked him he was still following his main reason for joining them self preservation and if that took the form of joining the group of monsters he would take it if it involved saving them in the process. As Koda left he was undecided on the answer on one hand he would indeed protect them but if things were going south for the humans he wouldn't hesitate to betray them and join the side of the monsters and take them along with them. It was just the logical approach so he didn't hate him for it but he still didn't sit completely well with it but only time will tell if that will truly be necessary to actually enact.
"Did you seriously just try and use my room as a place to hide?" Jiro asked Kaminari with a deadpan expression, the boy smirked as he laid on her bed.
"It worked didn't it? Bakugo knows how to hold a grudge so he definitely would be looking out for me." kaminari remarked
"Well I doubt that given what we just talked about for one and two this would probably be the second place he checks if not the first given that it's closer than your own room." Jiro commented
" but then my super special girlfriend that I love so much would cover for me won't she?" Kaminari said with puppy dog eyes, Jiro blushed but rolled her eyes at the claim and shook her head.
"I ain't not about to have you guys messing around in here if anything I'll throw you to the wolves." Jiro replied, causing Kaminari to mop a bit.
" Do you like seeing me in pain that badly? " kaminari quipped
"Maybe I do." Jiro said with a grin as she held her earphone jacks up for a moment making the boy flinch before laughing.
"Sadist.'' Kaminari murmured under his breath, forgetting who he was in the presence of and getting a jab in the side of the head.
"I could definitely show you one." Jiro remarked with a glare and kaminari quickly quieted down.
"So is anyone coming yet?" he questioned and using her spy ears jiro did one quick listen in for anyone footsteps that might be approaching and found none and she was about to give the all clear until she heard it. It was very soft and she would guess tentative which meant it definitely couldn't have been bakugo but the steps drew closer and closer and to officially confirm past by her door, she held off on giving the kaminari the all clear as she waited to see where the footsteps were going, going off where they were they came from it must have been one of the girls but where was this mysterious girl going she wondered as the footsteps came to a stop and knocked on another door and judging by who answered it, she could already guest who the knocker was.
"Mina! ugh …never expected you to come knocking on my door this late, what's up?" Kirishima said as he looked at the girl she was actually in her hero outfit.
"Yo kirishima, I was just wondering if you wanted to get some training in you know, just the two of us." Mina said with her voice low but Kirishima assumed that was mostly because she was trying not to disturb anyone else.
"ugh …yeah sure that sounds great let me go get ready. You can come in and wait." kirishima said as he gestured for the girl to come inside but mina faced blushed a bright crimson as she shook her head
"No that's fine, I….I'll wait out here..wouldn't want anyone catching me coming out of your rooms and rumors start to fly around." Mina said with a chuckle and Kirishima returned it.
"Well given you are here and your other half is with ojiro I doubt that many rumors would happen." Kirishima said as he closed the door but his smile completely fell flat as he turned his back on the door and let out a sigh.
"Yeah…who would want rumors about us to spread." Kirishima muttered under his breath before slapping himself on both cheeks and getting his mind straight and getting dressed. mina heart was pounding as the door closed, it took a bit of nerves to work up the courage to even go to his door at night so going inside his room felt like to intimate of an interaction for her following some of Jiro's advice and not trying to get to close to the teen as she still figures herself out.
Kirishima took around five minutes to get prepared and off the two went out towards the gym.
"Soo what's brought this on?" Kirishima asked to make some small talk on their journey.
"Well I guess the stuff we talked about earlier really got to me and my teacher did tell me that I needed to start building up some muscle so I came to you..you're pretty strong and muscular." mina said with a slight blush on her face, it wasn't the entire truth while she did get a little freaked out by context of their earlier conversation what really drove her to this was just trying to get to know the red head a little better and experiencing the things that he likes to do like weightlifting although she didn't mean to add that last part but she was happy when she saw kirishima noticeably blush from the praise.
"Thank you…I owe it to darkshine…. And you" he added on in a mumbled tone
"What was that?" mina asked not hearing the last bit
"Well…..I said ….that I….also owe my strength in part to you as well.." kirishima remarked simply turning away to not look at her in the face, he turned back around when she playfully slapped him in the shoulder.
"Are you still going on about that? I-"
"It's not just about middle school…..it's more than that… everyday you spur me on to do better with your enthusiasm and confidence…when you're around me I feel like I could do just about anything." Kirishima admitted cutting her off, making their girl's mouth slightly agape for a moment before she finally spoke.. But her tone of voice was in complete opposite from just before as she rubbed a hand across her arm.
"I'm not as brave as you think I am." mina said simply thinking back to the war again and her slip up she was suddenly pulled out of her thoughts when she felt someone hands on hers, Kirishima had taken both of her hands with his own and the sudden contact pulled her eyes directly to his.
"That's not true! So what you slipped up once, everyone has some sort of breaking point even me..we all get afraid sometimes. But it was still thanks to your vial that we were able to win that day. Your bravery for going in first inspired me to run right after you.. And it is with that…that I hope that I can inspire the same type of bravery in you or anyone else when the time calls for it." Kirishima said earnestly. Mina didn't reply and attempted to push down the tears that threatened to fall from one of her eyes as she didn't find the words to reply. She merely nodded her head and tried to offer a large happy smile. Kirshima's hands were rough but they were also comforting, almost like they were relaxing her.
"And another thing…in the event that some attack does happen and you find yourself in trouble just …contact me ok? I'll promise I'll be there to protect you. us horn buddies have to stick together " kirishima said this time around started out timid but got louder as he went and his confidence grew. Mina stifled a sniffle and nodded.
"Yeah …that's what horn buddies are all about right." Mina replied back, as she glanced down to their still conjoined hands, Kirishima must have noticed as he suddenly dropped them and for some reason Mina was slightly disappointed that he did so but that soon turned to surprise as Kirishima instead opted to grab her by the wrist and started to run.
"Come on now… darkshine said we should always get a good 6-8 hours of sleep per day to let your muscles rest which means we have about 3 hours before we need to head back and I'm also curious about that dance fighting of yours." kirishima said with a sharp grin as he dragged her along, mina smiled and secretly used her acid to slip kirishima's hand back down towards her where she grabbed a firm hold and started to equally run herself, kirishima turned his head to look at her but said nothing and she offered him a grin in return.
"Oh I'll show you alright when I beat you up." mina said excitedly
"Oh you're on! loser buys the winner a soda." kirishima replied
"Deal!" mina remarked as the two of them made their way further into association HQ
Ojiro and toru were both sparring against each other again, this time ojiro and her were still working on practicing on toru's awakening she could partially activate it but it would take her some degree of effort to sustain the area of influence only being able to go about ⅓ the distance she was capable of before but it still was something, ojiro would always being momentarily taken back by actually being able to see the girl just staring at her for several seconds or until toru noticed and called him a pervert jogging him out of his thoughts. The two continued to practice with her awakening for some time, first getting her comfortable enough to move around with it manually activated and seeing what other applications she could get inside of it. The first thing they noticed right away was that the bubble was semi-malleable just like the light itself she could shape it to her choosing, this was a fairly lame discovery though as the application of that wasn't much of anything she thought but ojiro thought that maybe they weren't really just thinking to creatively with the aspect but for now that was as far as she got.
Ojiro was also working with his awakening and found out that he could actually lengthen both of his tails to a distance of about 16 feet and just because toru and him were curious what would happen they tested out the fact of what would happen if he retracted both of his tails at the same time and the results shocked them…ojiro noticeably blocked up even more even growing slightly taller reaching 6ft tall and the hair on the end of his tails were spread across his body going across his shoulders and lower waist in a direction that drew emphasis to his chest. It felt weird to experience but one thing that's for sure was he was definitely stronger than before he accidentally jumped and banged his head on the roof of the ceiling that was 30 ft high. There also came the problem with his clothes being slightly stretched out and with the absence of his tail he had a weird hole just through the back showing off some of his lower spine which toru laughed at.
The two of them today were just finishing up another round of offense, defense when toru got a text from kaminari it told them to meet them in a certain room and after a glance the two of them went over and ojiro was unsurprised to find Jiro there waiting with him. They were in a waiting room outside of the gym kirishima would mostly use so he could harken a guest to what this all is about as he sat down with them.
"Let me guess, mina and kirishma are in there?" ojiro said jutting a dumb in the direction of the gym. Jiro simply nodded.
"I knew I shouldn't have told him about it." Jiro remarked dryly even as Kaminari cuddle up to her.
" but you did it because you like me so much." he said in a baby tone attempting to peck her on the cheek but he was stopped as she pressed her palm on his lips and pushed him away.
"No, I just let it slip and he just overheard." jiro remarked
"So why did you come?" ojiro questioned
"Because I didn't want these two doing anything stupid, I'm fairly sure they would have used toru new awakening to spy on them openly right in front of them and convince you by saying that it was part of her training. It was the lesser of two evils'' Jiro said as Kaminari looked away bashfully and let out a chuckle.
"She knows me so well." he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders but she didn't push it away or poke him just resigned herself to it and got comfortable
"Well never mind that, what are they saying, what have they said!" Toru asked in murmured excitement.
"Listen for yourself." jiro said with a yawn before, going switching back on her Spy ears .. child emperor had actually included a speaker that would play out what she was hearing if she wanted it to, it saved her the time of having to do it herself and he said in the case of having to prove something people couldn't say that she was being biased or misheard anything. They all listened in for about 10 minutes now and nothing spectacular was really being said between either of the two. The only thing that was really juicy was that they would compliment each other from time to time given what they were doing but it became clear that mina was just trying to match compliment for complement for some reason even when it truly wasn't necessary which made things sometimes awkward between the two as silence would pass.
"This is getting pretty boring." kaminair said
"Good, can we go now?" Jiro asked
"It also would be better to leave before they start to leave themselves you know so we don't have to rush to get out of here." ojiro also added.
"Yeah but before we go maybe …we should plan something like mineta did for us." Toru said.
"You have my attention ." kaminari said, causing both jiro and ojiro to shake their heads.
"What about if we have them all go on a secret date of sorts?" toru asked
" and who is them?" jiro questioned
"The other potential couples obviously. Todoroki and Momo, asui and tokoyami, and kirishima and mina.`` Toru finished off.
"Yeah but what activity would they all really stay around for? I doubt karaoke would be their thing.`` Kaminari questioned.
" It wasn't mine either." both ojiro and jiro said simultaneously but the two ignored them as they continued to speculate.
"Oh! What about a poetry meeting or something. Momo is a high class girl she'll probably like it and tokoyami being the guy that he is probably will as well." kaminari said
"I like it but neither kirishima or mina would like that." Toru said as the two began to ruminate again, Kaminari was looking down the hall just as shadow ring was carrying an unconscious bakugo down and away and that's when an idea popped into his head.
"Wait I think you're forgetting about another potential pairing being bakugo and the ninja chick." kaminari said causing ojiro and jiro to scrunch their faces.
"You do know that she has absolutely no reason to like him right?" jiro said for her own sanity.
"Yeah but that's only because they only meet here and now and remember what bakugo said about the girls he likes? He's probably extremely happy to spend this much time with her." kaminari said
"Have you met bakugo? Do you really think he's even capable of feeling such emotions?" ojiro questioned
"Even he was affected by her at the beach nearly a week ago, which means that there's got to be some type of thing there. I don't think he's asexual" kaminari suggested.
"Well in my opinion he only really loves himself." Jiro said, earning a few chuckles form ojiro and toru
"But back to the main subject, how does that solve our problem?" toru asked
"Well I found out that silver chain is an adviser over O-city so that means there is an 80% chance that she will always be their, so if we plan things right around that city we could have everyone meet up their then maybe some activity could present itself..worst comes to worst mina and kirishima, could come along with bakugo and silver chain on a patrol or something which probably be better than any plans we have for them if we can't find anything. '' Kaminari proposed and Toru sat in thought about it and slowly came to terms with it.
"You two are really something else." Jiro said.
"Diabolical is the word I would use." ojiro added
"But you love us!" Both of them replied as they kissed their significant other on the cheek.
The group was so caught up in their own little schemes that they didn't realize that the other two inside were just finishing up on their training and they all had to quickly scamper to the corned to avoid being spotted by them utilizing toru's quirk once the cost was clear the four of them all made their way back home and where everyone slept peacefully for the night besides two which were getting a group together to think about and put their plan into action.
Whelp hope everyone liked the first chapter of the year, from now on where mostly sticking with the main plot as the story continues on from here with barely any intermissions from now on so some people may be pleased to hear /
