-Kara-
What is happening?
I can't move..
Reiner puts me down with.. Sasha
Why is she with him?
This isn't making sense
"Kara!" She shouts
Her voice sounded muffled as if there was a thick glass separating the two of us
"Where is it?!" Sasha shouts desperately as she sat down on my lap
Wait.. my vision.. it's finally
Gone
I couldn't see a thing
"J-just stay with me for a little longer Kara!" She reaches inside my chest
And I could feel her squeezing my heart forcing it to pump blood through my body
Wait…
My heart?
I thought Eren.. took it
"N-no, no, no, no, no!" Sasha shouts "why is it closing?!" She scratches at my chest where I could've sworn I had a hole from earlier
Her nails dug deeply into my skin not knowing what else to do
But it wasn't like I could feel them anyways
The only thing I could feel was the ground shaking as the Titans clashed
At this point I could neither see nor hear a thing
I couldn't do anything, I was just.. here
I just laid here as my consciousness got hazier and hazier drifting in..

Pov.
-Colt-
-Hours prior-
"Yeah yeah I love you too" I sigh
"See? That wasn't so hard now was it?" Pieck giggles as she bent over to scrub her legs
"Yeah.." I scrub my back with the wired brush she handed me
"Mgh* y'know" she grunts "you don't have to inherit the Beast" she stands back up
"What?" I ask as she turned to face me, though she had her eyes shut because of the soap on her face
"I mean how long have we been together?" She asks as I rub her face getting rid of the soap
"Well.. uhh.. ten years?" I say
"Exactly we're already 18. don't you think it's about time we started something for ourselves?" She asks finally able to open her eyes
"I'm 18 you're still 17" I correct her
"Yeah but I'm turning 18 soon" "she argues
"Yeah after I turn 19" I tap her nose with my soapy finger
"Look the point is we're both getting old" she slaps my hand aside
"You're old I don't know what we're talking about" I grumble
But I guess she was right, back on paradise I would be 25 and she'd be 24
"Ugh" she rolls her eyes "forget it"
"I'm kidding, what is it?" I ask
"No you play too much" she pouts
"Tell me" I set my hands on her hips
"No!" She insists "c'mon let's get out now" she says
"Fine whatever" I grumble
"Should've told me you just wanted to get dicked down y'know" I say having to put on the clothes I had on before
"What?!" She blushes "just get ready, the ceremony is starting soon" she rolls her eyes
Wait.. the ceremony I almost forgot
I need to keep her away from there for as long as I can
But she's the cart Titan if anything's she's required to be there
"So what?" I ask
"So, we have to get going soon" she says
"What? You're out your mind if you think I'm going dressed like this" I pat my clothes
"What? You look fine, c'mon" she grabs my wrist
"No" I throw my arm over her shoulders "come let's stop by my house real quick" I say
"What?!"
"C'mon I won't take long" I lead her out
"Whatever" she sighs "you're just going to change kay?" She says
"Yeah I know, I know" I chuckle
It took us about fifteen minutes to walk back to my house
I opened the door for Pieck when we were greeted by a heavy breeze of dead fish
I'm not sure what it was but something had to have gone bad
"Oh damn" Pieck pinches her nose
"What the hell?" I look around trying to find the source the the stench when I heard someone pound the wall inside Falcos room
"Ah-Ah-Ahh-agh- c-carful F-F-Falco-ohh" we hear Gabi
My jaw dropped
This son of a-
I look at Pieck who looked just as shocked
"Wow, uhh.. he certainly is your brother heh" she says awkwardly
"Yeah, go wait outside" I chuckle
"Okayy" she heads out
I take my time changing into uniform to kill time,
Unfortunately I was forced to listen to my little brother railing his girlfriend in the room over
A few minutes went by and I laid in bed trying to think of how I could distract Pieck..
"Man how annoying" I sigh

I close my eyes

"Yeahh" Sasha sighs
"It's hard to tell people I'm 'married' without a ring, so I made your father buy me this since he never really 'proposed' " she shows off her 1ct diamond ring
"But hey" she pulls it off "your free to have it, I know one day you'll need it for Pieck" she hands it to me
"What? Are you sure?" I ask examining the ring
"Sure, I'm sure your father won't mind" she smiles

At least that's what she thought
I remember how badly he beat her after she told him she lost it
To this day I've always been too weak to protect her
I've always been too afraid to even stand up to him
He's a different type of breed his mere presence is enough to shaken anyone..
"Hey," I sit up "that's right, the ring!" I turn around
I rummage through my drawers trying to find the envelope I put the ring inside of
"Fuck man how'd I forget I was saving it just for today" I throw my drawer onto the bed
"Hey wait.." I stop
"I took it out of the envelope, didn't I?"
Then I put it…
The shoe!
I open the closet
I grab my old shoe
It was one I was wearing when I first stepped foot into Marley
Don't know why I had it for so long but I ended up hiding it in there
"Haha alright" I giggle as the little box the ring was stashed inside of falls out
I open the box and sure enough the ring was right there
After I give it a quick little rinse I slip it into my pocket before I decided to join Pieck outside
"You complain when I take long" she grumbles
"Be quiet" I smile
"Cause of you the ceremony started without us" she says
"Yeah but the best part isn't till later, I'm sure everyone won't arrive till then" I say
"So what? As a warrior I should've been there already" she says
"C'mon do we really have to go?" I ask
"What? Yeah.. c'mon Colt don't start," she sighs "I already told you we're going as soon as you got changed" she says
"Yeah but how about I take you out?" I ask "I'll take you to your favorite restaurant, what do you say?" I throw my arm around her neck
"What? No we can't" she says
"Don't be like that, c'mon I got a surprise for you" I pull her back
"What?! Ugh Collltt" she whines as I lead her away
After struggling to free herself from my grip she finally gave up and went along with me
"Fine, but there's no way we're missing the end" she says as she takes her seat at the table for two
"I told you it's fine even if we miss out on the whole thing nothing will happen"
"Colt!" She puts her foot down "I already told you we are going so don't make any excuses, okay?!"
I smile "yeah whatever" I chuckle
"Here you go sir" the waiter sets our food down
"Thanks" Pieck smiles as they handed her food
"You know you always order the same thing" she says
"What? Don't blame me the chicken here is good" I chow down on my plate

"ahhh" I sigh in relief after I ask for the check "so how about it huh?"
"How about what?" She asks wiping her mouth with the napkins"
"Falco and Gabi finally got it on" I say
"Gosh, yeah that sounded painful" she says
"I wonder if that's what your parents hear.." I say set a finger on my chin
"What?" Her eyes widen "hey.. wait your right.. oh god how embarrassing" she sets her hands on her face
"Hehe" I giggle "remember our first time?" I ask
She blushes "yeah.. kinda" she says
"It was Falco's sixth birthday, my dad thought it'd be a good idea to let us drink" I say
"Yeahh.. but we were dating long before that" she adds
"Heh.. yeah Falco just jumped right in there" I giggle happy my little bro finally had the girl he wanted
"We've come a long way since.." she says
"Yeah.. still can't believe you were chosen for the Cart Titan over me" I say
"Heh, yeah guess I'm lucky they found that women are better at maneuvering the Cart Titan than men" she says
"Yeah.." I sigh
"Alright" the waiter says handing me the check
It read.. Total: 105.7
I put 110 inside the envelope they handed me with the check
I lead Pieck over to the indoor garden where we began slow dancing to the violinist that was playing
"Thanks a lot Colt, I really needed this" she sighs "after being on the field for so long it feels nice to finally have a little break" she says
"Yeah, it's why I'm not really feeling the ceremony right now, we just got back from war and you're telling me they want to start another one?" I say
"Well that's our reality" she says
"Sadly" I agree
"So what's up with your dad, he looks so.. I don't know.. intimidating? He's always so covered up so I've never had the chance to see his face" she says
"Oh.. yeah.. he was captured once.. back when he served his time in the military.. and well.. they did horrors to him if you see him even without sleeves you'll wonder if whoever captured him was really human" I say
"Oh.. wow that's horrible" she says
"Yeah" I agree "after he managed to get back.. he told my mom how he wanted to spend his life with her, he said he wanted to start up a family before anything else we're to happen to him" I add
It's the story I remember Sasha telling me when I was younger, when he met my mother back in paradise..
"That's so sweet" she smiles
I smile "I think about that story all the time, even a strong man like my father was.. terrified that he'd never be with the woman he loved" I say "and like him, so am I.." I stop for a sec
"What?" She asks pulling her head back
"Pieck, I love you more than anything, and like my father I am terrified that one day this evil world separate the two of us before we'd get the chance to build something" I ease myself down on one knee
Her eyes widened as I held on to her hand "thirteen years ago as children we met, ten years ago we gave each other our hearts, now will you promise me you'll be beside me for the rest of our time on this world? Pieck will you.. marry.. me?" I finally say
"C-Colt" she sets a hand over her mouth not knowing what else to say
Her eyes filled up with tears as she covered her face with her hand
She nods "yes" she finally says
I felt shivers down my spine as she said it
"Yes?" I ask
"Yes Colt" she throws herself onto me, pushing me on my back "yesh-yesh-yesh-yesh-yesh" she shoves her tongue into my mouth
"Mgh-haha" I laugh as she couldn't stop expressing her love in kisses "alright, alright" I chuckle
"God I love you so much Colt" she sits up on my lap
"Here" I hold the ring
She holds her hand out letting me slide the ring onto her ring finger
"Beautiful" she smiles
"So how about we ditch that ceremony and we go find us a hotel room, huh?" I ask after helping her on her her feet
"Wh-what? Oh… alright" she smiles widely "only because of this" she holds her hand out showing off her ring
"Hehe yess" I giggle to myself
We're ready to get going when we heard someone clapping
Probably someone that had been watching
Though it was a slow and steady clap with a few seconds in between every.. clap
It almost made me uncomfortable
"Thanks I uhh.." I turn to thank whoever it was
"No problem can't believe I made it in time to see this" he smiles
"Nghk" I step back making sure Pieck was behind me
Eren..
What the hell is he doing here?
"What is it?" Pieck asks
"Hey Colt c'mon man, it's been a minute" he opens his arms "why don't you come give your uncle a hug?" He smiles
