Right. I think there's something that needs to happen here. Thanks for reviewing, SuperKitty4789.
I spent the whole of the time in First Class chilling. I got a facial, which was nice. Then, once I took the avocado and cucumbers off, Owen immediately took the cucumber in a flash. Actually, he ate his own, too.
"It's a facial, not a fruit plate." Noah told him.
Owen just laughed. "Oh, Noah, don't you see? It's both!"
Of course, that was when I got mail from anyone who'd sent any. This time, it was just emails. I had one which Lisa had written, but none from my friends.
Dear Stephanie
I can't believe you're gone, again! There's Aftermath episodes again, and the last episode we saw is the Germany one. Tonight we're going to see the next one – TV Guide said it's in the Amazon jungle? Anyway, I've got a few warnings.
Number one: Alejandro. You were talking about hooking up with 'someone' at the end of the Germany episode. Don't even go there. I know, I know, you're on the same team, but just don't. Bridgette and Leshawna both had a crush on him. Hence, both of them were voted off. And in the first Aftermath episode, Bridgette spent the whole of her time onstage trying to apologize to Geoff after she'd kissed Alejandro in the Yukon. I'm serious. But he forgave her, in the end.
The episode on New York was...good, I guess. Dad wouldn't watch – you know how much he hates New York – but I liked it. Even the song was okay. Speaking of which, my favourite song so far is the one Bridgette sang in the Aftermath when she was apologizing. I wish I could send you the sound file but I don't have it. It was best at the ending: "Geoff, you're the one for me, and I'm so incredibly, wildly, madly, crazily, oh so completely, infinitely, beyond sorry."
In Germany, remember what Alejandro said – he was working at an angle to get the team further? That's why he was flirting with Leshawna. When she was standing on the edge of the plane door, he was there, and he blew her a mocking kiss and then pushed her off. Don't let him get to you – he'll kick you off the second the merge happens!
We all miss you here. Maggie drew a picture of you from preschool. I'll send it next week. I know you only get emails when your team wins a challenge, but I think you get them regularly after the merge. Anyway, no excuses this season. Hang in there.
Love Lisa
Just like Tasha's email, Lisa warned me against Alejandro. But this time, I wanted to ignore it. Right now, anyway. I could worry about it once I got to the merge. For now, I could just be friends with him – with all of my teammates.
I went to the confessional for a few minutes. "I've decided, it was definitely a good idea to go on this season. I've actually had fun so far, apart from all the travelling in Economy. Poor Team Amazon." I chuckled. "NOT! Okay, I feel a bit sorry for Gwen and Cody, but Sierra's so creepy, I'm not sorry for Courtney, and Heather deserves it."
When I came back, Chris was in First Class, and Alejandro was saying something to him, proposing something. "What if DJ chooses to swap teams," he was saying, "Like Sierra and Izzy did in Egypt?"
"No more swaps, and that's final." Chris said firmly. Oh. Right. Alejandro was asking Chris to let DJ join our team.
DJ spoke up. "It's okay. The teams are probably gonna merge soon anyway."
"Wrong!" Chris added. "Combo over, Chris out!" He left.
"It's okay." DJ repeated. "I'll survive. My curse is gone, thanks to Irene. I even won the last challenge!"
"Tied!" Tyler reminded him.
"Exactly. If I keep this up, we might even make it all the way to the finale together."
Alejandro smiled. "I would love to see that."
"Me too." I put my word in. But only because DJ was a pretty soft opponent as of late. He was stronger as a person back when we were on the island, but now? I wouldn't be in the least afraid if it was him and me in the final two. The only advantage he truly had over me was raw strength. Well, I wouldn't be too ashamed of losing to him – at least the mil would go to someone nice.
The plane started to jerk around a little bit, and Chris' voice came over the intercom. "Attention, passengers... AAHHHHHH!"
The plane was starting to go down.
"WE'RE GONNA DIE!" wailed Owen.
"Tell Momma I love her!" cried DJ.
Izzy was already wearing a parachute, and she jumped out of the plane after Owen tried to tell her something. He was sucked out of the plane after her...and then it crashed.
Right on top of them.
As it turned out, Chris had overspent earlier on to decorate his personal quarters. The show was broke, and we were out of gas for the plane. Owen (awake but with a concussion) and Izzy (still unconscious) were taken off to the infirmary, while Chris set everything up to do the challenge of the episode.
"Where are we?" Tyler finally asked.
"Jamaica, mon!" Chris answered. That wasn't where we were supposed to be, but we'd have to make do. We had to go and get our swimming costumes and then go to the nearby waterfall.
Noah laughed at Chris' attire. "Pretty blouse!" That was the most expression I'd ever seen him have on his face, except for the time Duncan threatened him.
"It's a dashiki, mon." Chris told him.
"Yeah, a woman's dashiki." DJ laughed. I knew that DJ was actually from Jamaica, due to his accent (and I'd at one point found out that he'd lived there for the first four years of his life), so I took his word for it.
Speaking of attire, I had a hard time taking my eyes off Alejandro. Noah, Tyler and Cody were all wearing regular board shorts. Not Alejandro, though – of all things, he was wearing a red Speedo. I was trying really hard not to look at that part (not that it was anywhere near see-through, but I didn't want to be caught looking there) – no, the part I couldn't take my eyes off was his six-pack. I liked muscles, and now I could pretty much say it – yes, Alejandro's appearance was perfect in every way.
Okay, that's enough girly gushing for one challenge.
Our challenge was to dive into the lagoon below, that was infested with electric eels and sharks. Somewhere in the water was the golden chains Chef wore on karaoke night, according to Chris. We'd tag whoever went next. As usual, we were playing this one for an advantage, and the next one would be for immunity and First Class.
And Chris even wished us luck – wow. Especially my team, since we were missing two of our teammates.
"No problem." Noah spoke up. "Tyler, it's your lucky day. You get to do all the dives!"
"Yeah!" Tyler cheered. Then he frowned. "Wait..."
I burst out laughing, but spoke once I'd calmed down. "Noah's right, Tyler." I said. "Who else here is as sporty as you? Swimming's a sport, right?" I knew that would make him happy.
DJ and Cody were set up to dive for their team. Of course, DJ would have to do it all the time, but Team Amazon alternated.
As the boys dived, I heard Sierra yelling "Go, Cody! You show that shark who's boss!" Yeaaahhh...that skinny little shrimp probably wouldn't be able to take out Lisa, who's way weaker than me. A shark – no way.
But Tyler was still the worst swimmer. Well, okay, not the worst, but he didn't find the chains. He did find some other junk, though, including a grandfather clock. Before he got back to land, though, Cody tagged Heather. She positioned herself perfectly to dive.
"You have beautiful form." Alejandro told her. Heather looked up, and ended up tumbling into the water without grace.
"Nothing personal!" Alejandro called after her.
I giggled. "Nothing personal, huh? If it had been me, I wouldn't have bothered to note that it was nothing personal. But then, Heather knows that I can't stand her."
As a matter of fact, it was Gwen who found the chains, but then she got shocked by electric eels, practically paralyzed. Just as Tyler was about to make another jump, Alejandro quickly made Tyler tag him, and jumped in. When he surfaced, he was carrying Gwen (who was still getting electric shocks in spite of the eels being gone), with the gold chains around his neck.
Unluckily, Heather saw that, and snatched the chains off him. "Thanks for the delivery!"
"Hey!"
"Nothing personal!" Heather called over her shoulder.
"I suppose I earned that." Alejandro smirked.
"We didn't!" Noah yelled from beside me.
Gwen had to go to the infirmary, but before that, Chris did the "cut to commercial" outro. "Will Owen, Izzy and Gwen recover? Will Chef fix the plane so we can leave here while I'm still young?"
"I don't know, did we land in the Seventies?" Noah quipped. Chris shoved him off the cliff.
"Find out after the break, right here on Total! Drama! World Tour!"
I looked over at Sierra. "What does 'still young' count as for Chris? I mean, you know all about him, right?"
Sierra shrugged. "In my opinion, he IS still young. Ish." She glanced over at Heather, who gave her a "no" signal. "I shouldn't say anything else." the superfan whispered, her eyes sliding over to Chris for a moment. "I already told everyone else his year of birth, and he totally freaked."
The next challenge saw Team Amazon getting helmets. We had to go on this crazy bobsledding course, riding longboards bobsled style in teams of two, three runs for each team. The team with the shortest time won.
First up was Sierra and Cody for Team Amazon, Tyler and Alejandro for our team, and just DJ and his cod for Team Victory.
As they got prepared, we heard a familiar voice call. "Hey, wait up! Doc says I'm okay to compete!" Owen, wearing his swimming trunks, was running across.
"Owen's back!" Chris called through a loudspeaker. It was time for the first run.
Our team took the longest time, with DJ taking the shortest. While they did their run, Owen told Noah and I about how a military guy took Izzy home for medical treatment. "Maybe it's cause she's so smart now. She said she'd figured out time travel."
I raised an eyebrow. "That just sounds like a crazy story Izzy would tell. Are you sure that's not it?"
"Positive." Owen said firmly. "She dumped me." He gave a sigh. "My Izzy wouldn't have done that, especially not the way she did it. I know, I wanted to break up with her, but now I've realized that I never wanted to break up with her."
He and Noah went up for the next run, against Courtney and Heather for Team Amazon, and of course, DJ. Again, he was he quickest. This time, Team Amazon was slower than us, but by less than two seconds. They'd been more than ten seconds quicker than us on the first run. We were in serious danger of losing someone other than Izzy.
Finally, it was the third run, and my turn. Alejandro offered to partner up with me for the last one. Sierra and Cody were back up, and of course, DJ.
"So..." I muttered to Alejandro. "Any ace in the hole to win this?"
Alejandro had a tiny smirk on this face. "Okay, Stephanie. I know I can trust you to understand that everything that happens in this game is no reflection on real life, so it's okay to break the rules of morality once in a while." he said in a low voice. I nodded. I mean, this wasn't a regular occurrence, right? "Then you'll understand if I ask you to play along." Finally, he spoke at a more normal volume. "You asked me earlier why I was nice to DJ." I nodded, pretending that I had. "Well, I hated to see him suffer. But you've seen how happy he is now. That's because I painted that symbol on Irene, to fool him into thinking his curse was over."
I gave him a suspicious look. "Wait a second...but has he hurt any animals since?"
It didn't matter what I said. DJ's face became horrified, and he looked at the fishbowl. "Irene...no!" he cried.
"DJ, you weren't supposed to hear that!" Alejandro said quickly. "Sorry, my friend. I was only trying to help."
We both knew what was going to happen. DJ would continue thinking he was cursed, and that would make him go all depressed again. Worse, after Team Amazon and we had gone (with our time being quicker), somehow one of the boards on the course got broken and DJ was sent flying, consequently losing with an incompleted run. He was out of the game – and that meant that Team Victory was completely gone. Sad.
While DJ went to the elimination room, I hesitantly asked Alejandro a question. "What you said up on the course today about breaking the rules..."
Alejandro guessed what I wanted to ask. "I only do that when it's completely necessary to the challenge. We couldn't afford to lose, because then we'd be down another man besides Izzy. I don't like having to hurt people and I do feel guilty about it, but if it helps, I apologized to DJ and told him that he was only cursed because he thought he was. I don't know if he believed me, though." He sighed. "I do really feel sorry for him. He was the last person I wanted to leave the game at this stage."
I believed what he said. Sure, I hadn't really done anything sneaky to win the game myself, but if I was in sure danger of leaving the game unless I pushed someone else into the line of fire...yeah, I'd do it. Still, I felt sorry for DJ too. He didn't deserve to leave this early. Then again, maybe going home would be good for him.
As for the rest of us, we were stranded in Jamaica until we got the money to move on.
So Stephanie doesn't condone that kind of behaviour regularly, but she felt it was necessary here. Yes, Alejandro didn't tell her the exact truth – he does that way more than he really needs to and seems to have no guilt for it. What do you think?
