Opening my eyes, I saw an ethereal fog surrounding me. sitting up I realized that I was sitting atop of liquid like substance.
I tapped the substance which caused ripples to spread.
Looking around I saw that the silver water was endless, I focused my eyes in every direction but the only thing I saw was the silver water and fog.
It felt as if I were standing atop a lifeless ocean.
I looked up and saw that the sky was shrouded by the fog. But 5 stars shone through the fog and reached me.
The different colors of the stars captivated me, they also gave me a strange feeling.
The Blood-red star, the Golden-yellow star, the Alice-blue star, the Dark-blue star and the Cornflower blue star started shining brighter as if acknowledging me.
Though for some reason I felt a sense of familiarity and longing towards the stars.
Looking around I realized that I had no clue where I was.
Thus, I randomly chose a direction and started walking. maybe ill find the owner of this place, and they could send me back. Maybe they'll even reward me with a wish.
My footsteps caused ripples, though I made sure not to look down. I watched way too many horror movies and recently which made me afraid to look down.
So, I kept walking for what like hours, the surroundings got less hazy the more I walked.
After countless hours which felt like years of walking, I finally came across something new.
A huge stone tablet, in which in the center were written something.
I walked closer to it and started analyzing it.
The stone tablet was 15 feet tall and 10 feet wide. The stone was black in color.
Written on the stone with silver letters. It said, "Touch the tablet and you gain your answers".
Reading the writing I was more confused Than ever but I still did as instructed.
I went forward and touched it.
Information entered my mind, ingraining itself on my brain. I felt as if someone wrote something on my brain with a scalpel. I gritted my teeth in pain.
After 10 seconds, the feeling of being stabbed in the brain disappeared.
Huff…huff…huff. I panted in exhaustion. Supporting my knees using my hands so that I would not fall.
The knowledge forcefully shoved into my brain enlightened me.
I was both delighted and fearful about it.
For if the information was right, it meant that someone intentionally brought me here.
I was afraid.
Due to the knowledge that I was given, I know where I am. I am inside a sefirot. Though it didn't tell me which one.
I look at the sky and gazed at the 5 different stars.
I now know what they were. I remembered once reading about them, and wishing that I too could be like Klein. But now that I gained the opportunity, I felt afraid. I do not know why someone brought me here. I was just a normal introverted teenager.
I took a deep breath. I kept it for a few seconds and then I let it out. I repeated this many times until I finally felt myself being calmer.
The knowledge already told me where I am. It also told me what I needed to do.
I stared at stars which seemed to be shining in anticipation.
I knew what they were, the five stars belonging to the God Almighty group.
The hanged man, the tyrant, the visionary, the sun and the white tower, each of the stars represented the five pathways of omniscience and omnipotence.
I cannot learn why I was summoned here if I stay as a normal human. If want answers I need to ascend. I need to become something more than just a powerless ignorant human.
The only thing better than being all-powerful is to be all-knowing.
"I choose the whit-" I stopped myself from completing my sentence.
The true power of white tower can only be shown in sequence 06: polymath and above. Sure, white tower grants omniscience at sequence 01: omniscient eye. But that's it.
White tower is lacking in combat capabilities. And the polymath ability probably only works on beyonders.
Sun is out, their abilities are too eye catching. Hanged man is…not good for my sanity. Tyrant, I would need to be on the sea. So, the only pathway I can choose is visionary.
Visionary grants physical enhancements at sequence 07: psychiatrist and grants not one, but 5 unique abilities.
And sequence 06 grants battle hypnosis, psychological invisibility and a layer of dragon scales.
But the real benefit would come from the fact that the acting method for visionary pathway is not too complicated.
"I choose visionary." My voice resounded through the realm. The Alice-blue star shone brighter as if it was happy to be picked and the other four stars dimmed as if they were sad that they were not picked.
The Alice-blue star descended. Its light gradually brightened while descending.
The star entered me, bringing with its hundreds of potion formulas. And also, I inherited a beyonder characteristic.
If previously I was a sequence 10, now I am a sequence 9.4, which is great. Due to that I felt my eyesight improve greatly.
I started thinking of all the things I gained from the stone tablet.
I learned that this mysterious ocean is actually a sefirot. Don't know which one, but I am inclined to believe it being the chaos sea.
I learned the ritual that would bring me here.
I learned of three "places" in the sefirot. The treasure vault, library of doors and a place called Neo Eden.
The treasure vault contains artifacts, items and exotic ingredients.
The library of doors contains hundreds of doors connected to hundreds of Universes.
Neo Eden? No clue. To use it I must become a sequence 09.
Then the knowledge I learned from the star, which is technically a pseudo-beyonder characteristic.
One, there multiple ways to create a potion, the higher the sequence the lesser the number of ways to create it.
For example, sequence 09: spectator has 234 alternate formulas while sequence 05: Dream walker has 34 alternate formulas and sequence 01: Author has 03, and as expected sequence 0: visionary only has a singular potion formula.
Sadly, I'll never be able to reach sequence 0, since according to the stone tablet, there is no door that can reach LoTM.
Subconsciously I started walking in the direction of the vault.
To advance to sequence 00, one must have the uniqueness of the visionary pathway. And since all the uniqueness are in LoTM I won't be able to become a Visionary much less being a Great Old One. The only way I could reach those levels was if someone somehow created a uniqueness and sealed it in a world that is accessible from the library of doors. But such things are not possible.
In the end, it doesn't matter. While yes, it is sad that I won't become a sequence 0, but sequence 01: Author is already broken anyways, so I have no need for it.
I stopped thinking about the potions for now.
My every footstep caused ripples to appear.
while walking my memory started getting less hazy.
Funny thing was that I didn't even notice that I had forgotten my memories. I ignored the implications of that.
I remembered more and more with every step I took.
Little by little my memories started being accessible to me.
I also remembered my name.
My name is…
.
Finally, after unknown time of walking. I came across another new thing.
Seeing it I drew a sharp breath.
The 30 feet tall door. it was ginormous. I felt as if I was an ant seeing the work of a god.
I knew that behind this door lied the treasury.
The door was massive, it seemed to made from purely from gold.
I stared at the door that seems to be made for giants or maybe it was made by someone who simply like to boast about their wealth.
I ignored the latter conclusion; this place has been nothing short of mystical. There is no way someone who could create such a thing would be the type to show off to someone like me, an extremely ordinary teen with no qualities other than the fact that I like to read.
Though that did illicit a question from me.
"Why did anyone want to give me something this special. I'm just an ordinary teen." I thought out loud.
"Maybe I'm a reincarnation of someone special." I joked to myself.
