I am sorry this chapter took so long it just kept on going and going. I hope you people like it.

Chapter 54

The Archangel and her crew was still trying their very best to stop the enormous mobile suit and save what was left of Berlin.

Unfortunately as much as they tried, they had yet succeeded in doing any serious damage to the huge machine.

"Arnold, make sure that you evade all of those missiles it just fired after us. We can't expect Kira to destroy all of them!" Murrue ordered loudly, then watched as Kira fired all of the Freedom's weapons down at the Destroy, obviously trying his best to push the insanely large, Earth Forces machine back.

But it pretty much seemed like the guy inside the Destroy couldn't care less about all of Kira's attacks on him.

The only thing he did, was use the shield to defend himself. Then fire some of it's many weapons back after the Freedom. And even though Murrue was worried about her little brother figure. She was relieved to see the Freedom steadily wave in and out between the many beams, only to end up side down where Kira immediately fired both plasma cannons at the Destroy.

Not that it had much effect on the Destroy. It just continued onwards on it's extremely destructive rampage through the city. "Once the Freedom is clear from our line of fire! Try using the Gottfrieds at it one more time, sooner or later that shield has to run out of power! So lets keep up the pressure guys!" Murrue order loudly with an angry glimmer in both of her eyes.

The longer this battle continued the more determined the Captain felt about stopping that damn thing. No matter how she looked at all of this, there was simply no way the woman could understand how the Earth Forces was willing to do all of this.

Who in their right state of mind, would order the complete destruction of two major cities full of innocent civilians, that frankly had next to nothing at all to do with the war.

And now that she gave it some thought, it was pretty obvious that the Earth Alliance was a bit short on support at the current moments in time. But even they couldn't seriously expect that this was going to help them in anyway.

The way she saw it, it would most likely turn a very big part of the world against them. "This whole thing is just insane and doesn't make any sense! Why in God's name would they do something like this?!" The woman questioned out loud.

Not getting a reply from any of the people up there. Seeing as they where all quite busy doing their jobs, and did not have the time to try and figure out what the logic and purpose in what was happening outside.

So after watching Kira fight a short while longer, Murrue turned in her seat and took a look back at Miriallia. "How are Dearka, and the other Murasame pilots doing out there?" She asked generally worried that the pilots might be in some kind of trouble. And if that was the case they definitely needed to do something to help them out.

Working hard on figuring out the answer to the Captain's question, it only took a few brief seconds before the younger brunette was ready to tell her what information she had just gather.

"The three Murasames we send out last is presently fighting with the Chaos and from what I'm able to tell they are doing a pretty good job. Dearka however seems to be having some trouble with that purple Windam. It actually looks quite a bit like, he is holding back against that machine for some bizarre reason" the girl explained in a worried tone.

Then hurried made the images of the two unique coloured machines appear up on one of the smaller monitors.

Where a few moments of watching their comrade fight, was enough for all of them to tell, that for some unknown reason Dearka was only trying to disable the enemy mobile suit.

And after looking at the two fast moving mobile suits doing battle a bit longer. Murrue slowly reached up and rubbed her chin in a thoughtful manner. "I wonder what exactly this is all about? But as much as I would like to ask him about it, I do think it's best that we don't distract him unnecessarily right now. So just keep an eye on him, Miriallia" the woman ordered.

Realizing that the girl was most likely more than a little worried about her boyfriend right now. Seeing as it was pretty obvious that the guy piloting the Windam wasn't really holding back, in the same manner as Dearka was.

Nodding a single time in understanding to that, Miriallia immediately turned her attention back towards the small monitor located on her control panel, where the very first thing she saw, was the two mobile suit flying full speed towards one another.

And once they had shorten the distance between each other they instantly slammed their sabers out after the other. And even though Miriallia was on the edge of her seat right now, worrying that her boyfriend was going to get hit.

Yet thanks to the shield placed on the Murasame's left arm nothing overly bad happened to the blue mobile suit as Dearka continued struggling hard to push away his opponent's shield.

So while still watching the two fight so hard against each other.

"If that moron gets hurt out there, he'll be sleeping out in the halls the next two or three weeks" the brunette muttered in a voice, that made it completely obvious to all of them, that it wasn't very likely she was going to go through with that little threat.

And even though all the men present up there, was tempted to give a few comments to that remark. They all wisely kept their mouth shut seeing as now wasn't really the best of time, to be teasing their fellow crew member.

Especially not since the Captain yelled out a few orders at exactly the same time. Which immediately forced them to forget about the whole Dearka sleeping out in the hall, and concentrate fully on what was requited of them.

Yet as Miriallia sat there softly complaining about how childish and foolish her boyfriend could be at times, she suddenly noticed something else approaching the area with great haste.

"Captain the Impulse and a single GOUF is coming in from the northeast direction, with the Minerva following closely behind them!" The brunette loudly informed the Captain and the rest of the crew up there.

Making all three Zaft crafts appear on the main monitor just as the Strike look alike was equipped with the Force Silhouette pack. Then without even bothering to take the time to wait for Nicol to catch-up, the Impulse gundam took off full speed towards the enormous mobile suit.

Seeing that Murrue immediately knew that the Zaft forces was no threat to them in this battle.

"Please be careful that you don't hit Nicol, or the Impulse when shooting at the Destroy. If they really don't have any hostile intention towards us right now, there is no reason to give them any" Murrue said in a serious tone.

Then watched as the grey spaceship and her forces joined the highly dangerous battle against the enormous mobile suit.

000000

Seeing Shinn rush off in his same usual manner. Nicol rolled his eyes a single time as he called out after the Impulse pilot. "All right then Shinn you take care of the monster, I'll stay back and cover you." He told the other boy in a serious tone.

Just as he heard Shinn call back to him, that he was already on it. And that he was going to show the Freedom, exactly how a real pilot fought.

"Yeah, yeah you do that Shinn. Just don't do anything completely reckless that would end up getting you kill while you are busy showing off. It would be kinda nice if both of us could return to the Minerva undamaged" Nicol snapped out after the red eyed teen in the Impulse.

Seriously hoping that Shinn wasn't viewing this whole fight, as away for him to compete with Kira about who of them where the best pilot.

Yet once saw Shinn fire a couple of beams at the Destroy then yell out something along the lines of you going down bastard.

The green haired teenage immediately came to the conclusion, that the short tempered gundam pilot wasn't just going to show of his skills to Kira and everybody else out there.

And that he was more than ready to beat the crap out of the huge mobile suit.

So after making sure that he was still in radio contact with the Impulse, he took a look around the battlefield to see if there was anywhere he could help out. Yet from what he was able to gather the three Murasames fighting with the Chaos was actually handling them self pretty well.

Dearka however seemed to be having a difficult time with the purple Windam. To be completely honest it was actually a bit odd seeing the former Buster pilot having so much trouble with his intended target.

Especially since long distance combat was kinda like Dearka's specialty. Yet it was pretty obvious that the guy inside the Earth Forces machine was very far from an amateur in that fighting style.

"Well I don't want to get in Shinn's way so I might as well go give my old friend a hand. Beside as far as I remember all of us on the Minerva, does own that Windam a little payback" he mumbled softly to himself.

Then without giving it anymore thought he hastily took off full speed in the direction of the Murasame and the Windam completely and utterly determined to assistance Dearka, free the world from that purple mobile suit and it's pilot.

Yet once he got in range of the other two unique colored machines and was just about to join the fight.

He was more than a little taken aback when Dearka suddenly turned around and fired two shots in his direction. Which instantaneously forced him to evade sharply to the left, just before his old comrade could disconnect the right arm on his GOUF.

"What the heck are you doing, Dearka?! I'm trying to help you out here!" Nicol shouted loudly. Seriously not able to grasp why exactly the very person he was trying help was suddenly attacking him like this.

It was not like he had shown any hostile intentions towards his former team mate or the Archangel. So in his eyes, Dearka honestly have no real reason to be shooting at him like this.

He was most definitely not the enemy Dearka should be fighting in this battle. So he sincerely hoped, that the former Buster pilot had a real good reason to be treating him as an enemy.

Yet as he sat there wondering just what could be going through the blond man's head right now. His thoughts was brought to an end by Dearka's response. "I know that you where just trying to help Nicol. And believe me when I say that I really do appreciate it Nicol. But the thing is we really need this fellow alive, we have a few very important questions we need to talk with him about!" Dearka explained.

Only to have a single thought raced through his mind immediately after.

'Mainly about where he has been the last two years' That one thing truly was the biggest mystery of all to him, at this very moment in time. And he knew for sure that Kira most likely felt exactly the same way.

They both wanted to know what had been going on with the blond man since he was shoot down by the Dominion's Lohengrin.

Yet even while thinking about that, he hurried aimed the rifle at the Earth Forces machine and fired a few more shots after it.

Trying his very best to make it more than a little difficult for the Hawk of Endymion to get anywhere near him, while he was busy chatting with Nicol, that however did not mean he let his guard down at all.

Mu La Flaga was after all known as the guy who could make the impossible possible. So it was without a doubt best not to underestimate him and keep an eye on him the entire time, incase he had learnt any new tricks since he disappearance at the end of the last war.

But as all of those thoughts where flying rapidly through his head.

His old team mate didn't really give him a whole lot of time to think about it all, before he started speaking to him in a low serious tone. "So what kinda of information does this guy have, that you are actually willing to attack an old friend to get you hands on it?" Nicol asked, more then just a little displeased with his old buddy in the Murasame.

Considering briefly if he should tell Nicol who was inside the purple Windam.

Yet after thinking it over a small numbers of seconds he quickly came to the decision that it was properly best, that Zaft didn't get the knowledge that the Hawk of Endymion was still alive.

Mu had after all destroyed a lot of Zaft mobile suits through the last Bloody Valentine War.

Which meant that there might still be some Zaft soldiers around, who was still carrying a grudge against blond man, and would try to avenge their old comrades if they heard, he was still among the living.

And with that in mind he took a short glance over at the yellow mobile suit, then said a few simply things to his friend. "I'm sorry Nicol. But this doesn't really concern you or Zaft, so butt out and go help somewhere else" Dearka demand loudly.

Then without giving Nicol the chance to get his open mouth and say anything back. Dearka zoomed hastily up over two beams, from the purple machine. Then charged full speed at it while pulling out the beam saber in the process, clearly determined to once more engage the Windam in close range combat.

Seeing Dearka rush off like that, Nicol frankly was more then a little uncertain about what exactly he suppose to do now, this whole thing was just so damn confusing and he found himself cursing Dearka for not telling him anymore about this guy.

So in the end he came to the decision that it was probably best that the Archangel's crew didn't capture this guy. There was after all the small possibility that this Earth Forces soldier had some kind of information that could in someway be used against Zaft.

And even though Nicol honestly hated the thought of going up against a former comrade. There was just no denying, that his responsibility to the Plants and the Chairman came before friendship with Dearka.

"Guess I'll help you out old friend even if you don't want it!" Nicol mumbled to himself.

Then reached over and pull out the beam sword, which he looked over for a couple of seconds, before activating it. And without anymore hesitation the green haired pilot, began heading straight towards the two fighting mobile suit.

Sincerely hoping that it would not become necessary for him to actually hurt Dearka.

Yet those thoughts where quickly washed down the drain, when the Murasame fired two more shots after him. Which was a pretty obvious sign, that if he insisted on interfering in this battle, Dearka was going to fight him.

And that was definitely not something Nicol was happy about.

He wasn't really overly excited with the idea, of having to fight somebody he actually cared about, like Kira and Athrun had done in the previous war. But it seriously didn't seem like Dearka was going to give him much choice in the matter.

000000

Meanwhile over in the Destroy.

Sting couldn't help but get a huge highly pleased grin on his face, when he saw the Impulse gundam heading straight for him. "Ohh This is just great now I can destroy both of you!" The green haired psychopath shouted determinedly. Then immediately after fired four highly destructive red beams after the Freedom and Impulse.

Yet thanks to their extremely high mobility and speed not even one of the red beams came anywhere near the two fast moving gundams. As they each swiftly evaded up over the attacks, then started shooting back with their beam rifles.

"Damn you bastards stop moving around so much so I can kill you!" He demanded loudly, while trying to prevent both mobile suits from moving around so much.

Yet not really all that surprising but still to his big irritation, neither the Freedom or the Impulse did what he told them to do. Which of course served to piss the totally ruthless pilot of even more.

There was simply noway that he could even begin to describe just how much he hated these two machine. "If you don't stop moving around I'm going to destroy and kill everybody in this damn city!" He yelled to the two enemy pilots, before he began making his way towards the still somewhat intact part of the city.

000000

At the same time over in the Freedom.

Kira was quick to realize what they guy in the Destroy was up to now. And knowing that there was probably still a lot of civilians in that part of the town he knew he had to come up with an idea to stop or at least slow down the enormous mobile suit.

So while continuously firing the beam rifle down at the Destroy gundam he took a brief glance over at the Strike look-alike which was presently flying around not that far away from him.

"Hey Impulse pilot, can you do some damage to the left leg while I take care of the right one?" He asked, while using all of the Freedom's long range weapons to take care of yet another round of missiles that was fired from the Earth Forces machine.

Yet while he was somewhat distracted doing that, he did not realize that the pilot inside the copy of his first mobile suit was now looking directly at him. And it was only once he was done getting rid off the many warheads that the Zaft pilot gave him a response.

"I'll never help you bastard, you where the one who kill Henie and there is noway in hell I will ever forgive you for that. So you just make sure that you stay out of my way, while I take care of this thing!" The obviously quite stubborn pilot in the Impulse said.

Just before he once more started attacking the Destroy straight on in a extremely violent fashion.

Which frankly in Kira's eyes seemed more than just a little reckless. It was kinda like this brat had yet to grasp just how utterly dangerous this mobile suit truly was, and that the only thing he cared about doing this battle was getting the so called honor taking it out right in front of him.

Not that Kira really cared all that much about that. He just wanted the Destroy gundam stopped, before it could kill even more innocent people. "I'm really starting to understand why your machine was call Impulse, it suits you pretty well. But if you are so overly confident in you abilities to stop this thing then please hurry up and do so before it can get any further!" Kira said. Then started attacking the right leg on the big mobile suit.

Not paying any kind of attention to what else, the brat over in the Impulse gundam had to say to him. Pretty much the only thing he cared about right now was saving what was left of the German capital.

And if that meant that he actually had to go through the bad copy of the Strike gundam then he was more than ready for it. He truly didn't want to see anymore death and destruction today, especially not if there was anyway he could prevent it.

So if that stubborn brat couldn't accept his presence and help, then it wasn't really his problem. He was simply absolutely determined to stop this thing no matter what it took.

Even if it meant that he had to fight the entire Zaft army in the process. And with that in mind he swiftly rolled sideways to avoid the next massive rain of green beams the huge war machine fired in his direction.

And once he ended up facing the monstrosity again, he instantly fired both rail cannons straight down at the large mobile suit.

Then immediately after got the Freedom upside down where the young pilot fired both plasma beams cannons directly at the Destroy's face, seriously hoping that this little trick would briefly blind the psychopath inside the enormous mobile suit.

Yet as luck would have it the Destroy's beam shield made sure that his attacks didn't have the effect he had originally wished for. And it was only a few brief seconds later when he was once more waving in and out between the many beams from the Destroy.

But even though he hadn't succeeded in blinding the bastard.

He was somewhat satisfied with the result. Seeing as the lunatic was now so pissed off and distracted by him that he had apparently forgotten all about the terrible things he had wanted to do.

And knowing that he again had the bastard's attention. Kira made absolutely sure to keep the pressure up on the enemy mobile suit, so he remained it's main target no matter what, there was just no way this guy was going to reach what was left of Berlin while he was around.

Yet while the brown haired man was so caught up in fighting the Destroy. He didn't realized that the smug boy over in the Impulse gundam was currently glaring more than a little hatefully at him.

"Damn that annoying bastard! Why the hell didn't he just get lost like I told him to do?! I can't concentrate properly on fighting the Destroy when he is buzzing around all over the place!" Shinn growled angrily.

Not realizing that if his overly big ego hadn't gotten in the way not long ago. He would not be having any of these problems now. "Damn it all! I'm really starting to hate that guy!" He muttered out through his teeth.

But as tempted as he was to try and get rid of the highly annoying white and blue mobile suit here and now. He decide to use the Freedom gundam's massive attack on the Destroy to his advantage instead.

So while still keeping a close eye on the two enemy machines, he began making his way around the enormous mobile suit.

Honestly hoping that by attacking this thing from behind, he would be able to accomplish what the bastard inside the Freedom could not.

He did however not get very far before a large bunch of beams and missiles was fired at him from the Destroy. And instantly realizing, that it was highly doubtful that the Impulse's Phase Shift armor would be able to withstand an attack of that calibre.

Shinn swiftly throw himself backwards while using the rifle and the machine guns to take care of the many warheads. Yet even as the teen was doing that he suddenly heard a deeply displeased voice come out of the radio.

"You shouldn't try and sneak up on people like that. It could be quite dangerous for you health!" The stupid bastard inside the monstrosity told him. Then took aim and began using him as target practise instead of the Freedom.

But even when he was so occupied avoiding the many beams he took an angry glance over at the Freedom. Frankly blaming that machine and it's pilot for not keeping the bastard busy while he took out the huge monster.

And while swiftly evading up over four deadly beams, he kindly asked the guy in the Freedom what he was doing. "Why the hell didn't you keep him busy so I could attack him from behind?!" He asked, obviously more than a little displeased with his plan failing like it had.

Hearing him ask that. Kira took a small yet highly skeptical glance over at the Impulse. Seriously wondering just what exactly the instructors back at the Zaft academy had been thinking, when they had permited this stubborn kid to leave and become a pilot of a mobile suit.

"With his immature behavior. It would probably have been best if they had let a five-year-old pilot the Impulse" the pilot of the Freedom quietly said to himself.

Seriously having a little trouble getting just how exactly this Zaft pilot's mind worked. First he had declined Kira's proposal to work together against the enormous Earth Forces mobile suit.

And now he was actually complaining about Kira not backing him up. It just didn't make a whole lot of sense to the young Yamato. "If you honestly do want to work together, that's fine by me. But it works both ways, I expect you to cover my back too, otherwise I think it's best that we just continue fighting on our own" Kira said, while evading in between a couple of beams.

Then instantly took aim and fired two quick shots from the beam rifle.

Yet unlike all of his previous attacks on the Destroy's main body. This time he actually succeeded in doing a little damage on the machine, as the first beam flew in and hit the upper side on the left shoulder. Just before it's completely insane pilot could get the beam shield up and running again.

And the sight of how easy this guy had been able to damage the Destroy even while talking with him. Shinn felt the deep displeased vein on his forehead grew slightly bigger.

"I will never work together with you. The only thing you are good at is getting in other people's way!" He yelled loudly, then started attacking the Destroy in the same highly risky manner as before.

Absolutely determined to show this stupid fool just who of them was the better pilot. The idea that some damn thief, that was flying around in a stolen Zaft mobile suit, thought he could actually match the skills of a Zaft red, really served to piss Shinn Asuka off.

Which meant that it was of the upmost important that he was the one who took out the Destroy, before the guy piloting the Freedom could do so.

And with the large amount of adrenaline presently rushing through his body Shinn got over into seed mode. Then swiftly ducked down underneath the Destroy's next attack on him.

The stubborn young teen did however only get a few short minutes to play the overly prideful knight that just had to take down the huge dragon on his own. When he suddenly heard a very familiar voice yell out a few curses.

"Damn you! I hate you guys so freaking much! I'm going to kill each and everyone of you!" The voice of a certain blond haired girl said, in a tone which made it pretty obvious to everybody that was listening in, that she was having a difficult time right now.

And even through Shinn was still in the middle of fighting with the Destroy, he did not hesitate even a second, in trying to find the source of that angry voice.

"Stella, just where the heck are you?" The boy asked softly, while fanatically looking around after his crush.

Yet it was only when he saw one of the red and white Orb Murasames give the Chaos gundam an extremely hard kick in it's stomach area. And afterwards he heard her scream loudly, that he finally realized that she was inside the green mobile suit.

"Those damn machines are tearing her apart! I have to help her!" He shouted determinedly, then took off full speed towards the four battling mobile suit.

But as he was doing that, he did not realize that Kira was currently watching his every move. He too had of course heard the woman's loud scream and what the guy in the Impulse had said afterwards.

"Is he actually going after the Murasames? If that's the case I have to stop him, there is just noway those guys will be able to handle both the Impulse and the Chaos at the same time" Kira growled softly to himself.

While seriously wondering for what reason a Zaft mobile suit pilot was so eager to help out an Earth Forces soldier.

But even with his slightly limited knowledge about the whole thing. There was one thing the male Yamato knew for sure, and that was that he simply couldn't allow the guy piloting the Impulse, to interfere in the battle between the Chaos and his three comrades.

In his eyes the pilot of the Zaft version of the Strike, had already kill more than enough Orb soldiers just by sinking the Takemikazuchi. So if this pig-headed brat was actually planing on killing these guys too, then Kira was most definitely going to stop him.

And with that decision made, he quickly aimed the rifle at the Impulse's right arm. Frankly hoping that by removing that, he could prevent the Zaft pilot from attacking the three Murasames.

But just as he pressed down on the trigger and the one single beam left the rifle. He suddenly heard Nicol's voice shout out a warning to the guy inside the Impulse. "Shinn watch out behind you!" The green haired man which Kira had fought along side with, so many times in the last war said.

And much to Kira's minor irritation the Impulse gundam was somehow able to avoid getting any damage thanks to Nicol's warning. "Damn it. This really isn't the best time for me to be fighting with this brat" he growled unhappily to himself while taking a small glance down at the Destroy, that by now was once more making it's way towards the still standing part of Berlin.

He did however only get a few short moments to watch the large mobile suit before a loud completely piss off voice started yelling at him. "What the heck did you do that for!? Don't you realize who is inside that machine!? Don't you realize that I need to help her!?" The Shinn character inside the Impulse said loudly. Just as he pulled out the right beam saber and charge full speed straight towards him.

Seeing him do that, Kira narrowed both of his eyes slightly as he reached down and grab on to his own close combat weapon. Which meant that it took less then a second, before the two highly powerful mobile suit slammed their weapons together.

But even as the two of them fought with all of their strength to overpower each other. Kira heard the pilot of the other gundam repeat all of those questions one more time.

Yet as utterly confusing as all of this honestly was to Kira. He made absolutely certain not to let his guard down at all. Even when the two gundams broke away from each other again, and the Impulse started firing it's two machine cannons after him.

And immediately realizing that this was just a small attempt from this Shinn guy to try and slow him down while he made his way to the Murasames.

Kira made all ten wings on the Freedom's back jump out. Then swiftly flew full speed upwards, over the large amount of bullets. Only to once more end up slamming the saber out after the Strike look-alike that just barely had enough time to get it's shield up to defend itself.

Yet as the two mobile suits was again locked together in their highly dangerous duel, each of them trying their very best to push the other's weapon.

The Archangel crew member made the decision that he had a few things to say to the guy over in the Impulse.

"I really don't know anything about the individual over in the Chaos or why you are so eager to help her out. And if it had been under any other circumstances I would not have interfered. Yet seeing as you are obviously going for the Murasames, then you just have to deal with me first. I'm not going to let you kill anymore Orb soldiers, then you have already" Kira said.

Only to pretend that the Impulse's face, was a broken vending machine a half second later by slamming the left fist straight down in to it.

Sending the other mobile suit backwards away from him. And the minor break he got from that was something Kira immediately used to his advantage by getting the other beam saber out from it's usual location on the Freedom.

Yet as he was doing that, Shinn quickly shook away the few spots in front of his eyes then glared over at the Freedom with as much hate in his eyes as it was humanly possible.

He was seriously getting tired of this guy, why the hell couldn't he just mind his own business and let him kill these Orb bastards. The whole world would definitely be a much better place, if that country cease to exist.

It was after all those damn Athhas fault, that both of his parents and his little sister, had gotten kill doing the previous war. So it really served to make the teen's blood boil, when he thought about how the pilots of those three Murasames was trying to take away another person he cared about.

And with those thoughts in mind, he tighten his grip on the beam saber, as he once more got ready to attack the Freedom. "Damn you! If you really are going to get in my way, then I'll just have to go through you! Orb and those Athhas has already taken more than enough people from, me and I'm going to make sure that they do not take anybody else even if I have to burn down the entire country and kill those bastards!" Shinn said with a deep anger in his voice, not even close to realizing that he was stepping on thin ice right now.

Not at all happy about hearing this crazy brat threaten to kill his sister and everybody else in Orb. Kira tighten his grip on the Freedom's controls while trying his best to remain calm.

He knew that getting angry now wouldn't really get him anywhere. He needed to hurry up and finish his battle with this crazy brat, so he could once more concentrate fully on taking out the Destroy.

And with that in mind, he moved slightly forward as he got ready to strike with the two sabers sincerely hoping that it would not take long to remove a few body parts from the Impulse gundam.

"You really are quite insane, you are talking like burning down an entire country, like it is the most natural thing in the world" the male Yamato said seriously, while at the same time trying his best to determined if he should go for the head or the right arm on the Strike look-alike.

Hearing this guy lecture him like that Shinn got even more cranky and pissed off if that was even possible. "Shut up you bastard, I didn't ask for your opinion! I just know that Orb deserves to be destroyed more than anything else in this world!" Shinn yelled.

Which served as the sign for the two gundams to charge full speed at each other again. Both of them with their close combat weapons out and ready to strike.

000000

Meanwhile on the Minerva.

The ship's three remaining pilots, was each having their own reaction to the battle between the two powerful mobile suits. "What the heck are those two idiots fighting for? Don't they have something more important to do?" Luna asked generally more than just a little confused about why their comrade had suddenly changed his target from the Destroy, and over to the Freedom.

Yet even though both Athrun and Rey had heard her question.

Neither one of them gave her a response, as they stood there watching the Freedom and Impulse, trying to rip each other apart. Yet if Lunamaria had actually bother to take a really good look at Rey's face she would have been able to see a hint of a smile there.

Seeing as Rey actually found Shinn's battle with the Freedom, quite interesting and informative. It really show just how much Shinn's skills had evolved since the Theft at Armory One.

And perhaps if fate was truly on their side in all of this, Shinn would might just be able to take out the Freedom gundam right here and now, without using the strategy he had made to take out the Ultimate Coordinator.

Yet after watching his fellow pilot and friend do battle with the person he despised most in this world. He slowly turned and took a small glance over at Athrun to see what his reaction, was to all of this.

But that slightly far away expression he had on his face at the moment, did make it kinda hard to figure out just what exactly he was thinking about. Which frankly did make the blond haired man wonder what Athrun would be doing, if he had been out there in this battle too.

Would he do what he was suppose to and remain loyal to Zaft and the Chairman, or would he betray them all. And start fighting alongside the Freedom and his other old friends on the Archangel.

Yet when thinking back to how anti-social the blue haired pilot had been these last couple of weeks. Rey Za Burrel was almost completely certain, that he already knew the response to all of this.

'I better talk with Gil about getting rid of Athrun Zala, before he can become a threat to our plans. It has actually been quite a while now since that guy stopped being useful' the blond man thought. Seriously hoping that it wouldn't be that hard to put a stop to Athrun Zala's habit of breathing and staying alive.

Of course not even close to realizing that the blond man standing only a few steps away from him was currently trying to come up with the best method to put an end to his life.

The blue haired teen was simply to caught up in watching as his best friend's mobile suit and the Impulse meet in midair. Where they struggle hard against one another the next couple of seconds until they broke away again.

Where Shinn didn't waste anytime in trying to get past the Freedom again and over to the three normal colored Orb Murasames. It hadn't really been overly difficult to figure out why the two of them had suddenly started fighting with each other instead of the Destroy.

And as Kira got in the midway between the Impulse and the Murasames. Athrun could not help but wonder why exactly Shinn had decided that the Orb mobile suits was his main target in all of this.

It seriously didn't make a whole lot of sense to the former Justice pilot, why Shinn suddenly felt so determined about helping whoever was piloting the green colored gundam.

Yet after thinking about it for a few moments longer a certain thought just happened to enter his mind.

"It's the Gaia's pilot again. That woman is probably the one who is piloting the Chaos now, that's why he is so fixated in getting to her. He has already shown that he doesn't care about anything else when she is involved" Athrun said in a low tone, as he watched one of the Orb machine give the stolen gundam a pretty hard kick in it's stomach area.

Hearing her blue haired team mate say that, the redhead immediately turned her deeply shocked gaze away from the monitor, and over at him. "You can't be serious, Athrun. Please don't tell me that he is actually willing to ignore all of those people down on the streets, just to save that dumb girl" Lunamaria said. Doing very little to hide how much Shinn's current action surprised her.

She quite frankly didn't get what was so great about that blond woman. From what little she knew about her, she had seemed mostly like some small child that would constantly scream and yell for her parents.

The parent being that Neo fellow she had been shouting for almost the entire time, since she had gotten out of her coma.

And what sane person wouldn't get tired of listening to that after a little while. Lunamaria might only have been by the med-bay a few times, while that whining girl had been on board the Minerva.

Yet it had been more then enough for the older one of the two Hawke sisters to decide, that she found the Gaia pilot's loud extremely childish attitude more then just a little annoying to be around.

It could drive just about everybody insane, except Shinn Asuka apparently, who had actually seemed to like all of the woman's crying and yelling out for that Neo guy or whatever he was call.

The redhead did however not get a whole lot of time, to try and figure out what in God's name Shinn saw in that girl. Before Athrun interrupted her thoughts by giving her a response to what she had talked about only a few seconds ago.

"I can't really say that I approve of what he is doing out there. If it had been anybody else, other than an enemy mobile suit pilot. Then it would have been a lot easier to understand why he is doing this. Yet the fact still remains that woman has done a lot of awful things, like killing Heine and a bunch of other Zaft soldiers. And that's not something that can be denied no matter how much Shinn wants to do so" Athrun said in a highly serious tone. While trying hard to ignore the images of the Gaia gundam shooting down Heine's orange GOUF.

Not really sure what to say to that at first the redhead used the next couple of seconds to go through everything Athrun had just said.

Until she finally let out a deep sigh, while rolling her blue eyes a single time. "Yeah he does seem kinda willing to forgive that girl for everything she has done. But I just don't get how, he can so easily forget about Heine and act like she is the most innocent and sweet girl in existence" Lunamaria said softly.

While thinking about the highly humorous FAITH pilot that had been a part of them a little while back. She might not have told anybody about it. But there was a few times, where she actually found herself missing the somewhat strange goofball.

Yet before she could give it all that much thought, Rey decided to give his two cents about the matter. "Well you know what they say Luna, love can be blinding" the blond haired man said in a small tone.

Not once moving his deeply serious gazes away from the battle between the person he saw as his arch-nemesis, and his teammate and best friend.

000000

At the same time outside or to be more exact inside the Destroy.

Sting couldn't keep the smirk from his face as he watched the two gundams he had developed quite the grudge against having fun up in the air. "I honestly don't know why exactly those two morons suddenly have decide to start fighting with each other. But perhaps if I'm a bit lucky they can kill each other in the process" the green haired man said, with a great deal of amusement in his voice.

Yet after enjoying the sight of their highly deadly battle a little while longer. The mass murderer started feeling somewhat frustrated and annoyed, that those two idiots couldn't hurry the hell up and kill one another.

"To hell with it! Why can't one of them just pierce the other's cockpit and be done with it! Do I actually have to help them kill each other?!" The pissed off psychopath asked himself.

Just before he took aim at the two battling gundams, and got ready to use them as target practice one more time. "Ok fools smile for the birdy!" He muttered still with that wicked smirk on his face.

And once he saw the two extremely fast moving mobile suits, hammer their sabers together again. He instantly fired off all of the Destroy's weapons, directly towards the two soon to be dead morons.

000000

Meanwhile up in the air.

Shinn was practically growling with hatred for the Freedom as he charge forward right at the white mobile suit. "Get out of my way you damn bastard!" The dark haired teen yell out after his highly annoying opponent.

Only to thrust the short range weapon out after the Freedom immediately after. Yet just when it seemed like the beam saber, was actually going to make contact with the other machine.

The Freedom moved slightly backwards, and used it's left saber to defend itself from his attack.

Which not surprisingly bothered Shinn to no end. The mere fact that the guy inside the Freedom seemed capable of handling everything he throw at him was seriously starting to get on Shinn's nerves.

There just had to be a weakness in this guy's fighting style somewhere. He just had to find someway to get either past this guy or kill him. It was necessary that he got over to Stella as quickly as possible.

So that he could help her out against those three Orb Murasames. Thereby making absolutely certain that there wasn't anybody around who could in anyway hurt the sweet and innocent girl, he cared so much about.

He did however not get a whole lot of time to think about what he truly wanted to do right now, when his thoughts was brought to an abrupt end by a whole bunch of beams and missiles from the Destroy.

Which instantly made the short tempered teenager let out a loud displeased sound. While he tried his best to decide just what the hell would be the best course of action.

Should he just ignore the Destroy for now, and continue chasing after the Freedom. Or should he try to find away, to keep the enormous mobile suit from interfering any further, in his battle with the mostly white and blue gundam.

Yet before he could actually make up his mind about what to do now, the decision was pretty much made for him as the Freedom practically leaped away from him where it immediately started using most of it's long range weapons to take care of the many missiles heading their way.

And with the guy in the Freedom being momentarily distracted by all of those warheads. Shinn hurried got the beam rifle out, and was just about to attack the bastard from behind.

When another round of beams from the enormous machine down on the ground pretty much ruined that idea. There was simply no way in hell he could get anywhere near the Freedom now.

And even though that bothered him greatly the only thing the red eyed teenager could do at the moment, was to swiftly evade in and out between the large amount of red and green beams the Destroy fired after him and the Freedom.

Yet even as he was doing that he still fired a few shots after the Freedom every time the opportunity present itself.

But with the Freedom moving around that much faster then Impulse. It seemed almost impossible to hit the other machine, with him buzzing around all over the damn place.

"Damn it, I really hate that guy!" Shinn cursed loudly. Just before he was yet again forced in to a minor bunch of highly dangerous evasive maneuvres. As the Destroy start continuously firing it's many beam weapons up towards him.

So while Shinn was doing everything he could think of to come out of this whole mess uninjured.

The brown haired slightly older teenager piloting the Freedom gundam, was also busy evading the large assault from the huge mobile suit. And even though being cannon fodder for this psychopath was far from what Kira would consider entertaining.

There was actually a tiny part of him that felt somewhat relieved, that his opponent down in the Destroy was now again seeing him and the brat over in the Impulse as his main target in all of this.

That could after all only mean that whoever was inside the Destroy was no longer heading for the still populated area of the city.

But even with the many utmost destructive beams flying around the Freedom. The young husband still tried to come up with away to put a quick and abrupt end to this whole battle, before the crazy idiot down on the ground would get in a lucky hit that would turn Lacus in to a widow.

And not wanting to put his pink haired Goddess through what had happened when Athrun had seemingly killed him. Kira felt all the more determined to put a stop to all of this.

"The legs! If I can break just one of them, I might be able to trip the machine over and prevent it from going any further" the male Yamato mutter with more than just a little determination in his voice.

Then agilely roll in between yet another couple of green beams from the Destroy. Then swiftly fired both rail cannons, directly at the right leg on the insanely huge war machine.

Making a few minor explosion occur as the two yellow shots hit what they where suppose to.

But that was not nearly enough to actually knock the Earth Forces mobile suit over. That however didn't mean it didn't have some effect, it obviously bother whoever was in there quite a bit.

Which was made completely clear to him by the many missiles that left the Destroy immediately afterwards.

And the sight of all of those warheads heading in his direction.

The already serious look in Kira's deep purple eyes grew slightly larger, as he activated the multi target lock system and got ready to shoot down the large amount of missiles, before they could get close enough to do any kind of damage to the Freedom.

Yet as Kira used the Freedom's many weapons to rapidly take out one missiles after another. The young man soon got something else to think about when the stupid brat piloting the more advanced model of his first mobile suit, started attacking him from the left side.

Which instantly made Kira throw himself and the Freedom downwards to get away from the attacks. "Damn it. Even with the Destroy on our tails that brat still wants to fight" Kira mumbled unhappily.

Then raised the beam rifle, and fired two more shots in the direction of the Destroy gundam. Sincerely hoping that his attacks, would cause even more damage on the enormous mobile suit's right leg.

But unlike before this time around the bastard actually succeeded in getting the beam shield up to defend himself. Yet as bothersome as that was he didn't really get a whole lot of time to sulk about it.

Before the Impulse gundam started attacking him again.

"Ahhh crap this is getting annoying. I'm seriously starting to miss my shield right about now!" Kira shouted highly displeased, while swiftly evading down beneath both the brat's and the psychopath's attacks.

Unfortunately with those two chasing after him it was pretty much impossible for him to search for it now. He simply had to concentrate fully on dodging and avoiding all of their attacks.

That however surely didn't mean, that Kira stayed completely on the defenses. He made absolutely certain, to counterattack every single time he saw the opportunity to do so.

And as he flew up over yet another round of beams from the Destroy. He just could not help but feeling somewhat grateful, towards whoever, had designed his trusty old friend to travel with such great speed.

It was pretty obvious that if the Freedom had been just a little slower in this highly messy situation, he would surely have been shoot down a long time ago.

Yet while Kira was buzzing around all over the place. He had no idea about how much Shinn was enjoying the sight of him squirm around like an eel on a hot plate.

"This is just great soon or later he wouldn't be able to avoid all of these attacks" Shinn muttered in a small wicked tone. As he kept on continuously firing the beam rifle downwards in the direction of the Freedom.

But as he was deeply caught up in trying to blast a few holds through the back of the Freedom. It was only when he once more heard Stella's panicky scream, that he realized that this was definitely not what he was suppose to be doing right now.

And knowing that, he quickly turned around and looked up at the Chaos where he instantly noticed that the green transformable gundam was now missing both of it's weapons pods, and it's left arm.

"To hell with it! I just have to get over there, I need to protect her!" He shouted as loud as humanly possible.

Just before he hurried turned the Impulse around and rush off full speed towards the damage mobile suit his crush was piloting and the three Orb machines responsible for all the damage.

Yet as he was heading off to help the blond woman he cared so indescribably much about.

He did not realize that Sting down in the enormous mobile suit was now glaring quite angrily after him.

"Hmmf guess he wouldn't be of much help any longer, so I might as well shoot him down now that his back is turned" the green haired mass murderer said to himself in a soft tone.

More than just a little annoyed that this guy had suddenly stopped shooting at the Freedom. But knowing that he honestly wished to see this guy die in a mass load of pain too, he aimed just about all of the Destroy's weapons upwards at the back of the Zaft gundam.

It was just about the same time that Shinn reached Stella and the Murasames. "Leave her alone, you damn Orb bastard!" He yelled loudly. Before firing a beam at the closed one of the Orb mobile suit blowing the right leg off in the process. Which immediately made it transform over into mobile armor mode and fly full speed away from him.

And once he was absolutely sure that the two other Murasames kept their distances too.

He slowly turned, and looked directly at the green half beaten up mobile suit. "Stella! Stella, are you ok in there?!" The red eyed boy asked, in a loud deeply worried tone.

Sincerely hoping that the sweet blond girl wasn't injured in anyway. If those stupid Orb soldiers had done any harm to her. They could be absolutely certain that they would be begging him to end their lives once he was done with them.

Yet much to his deep relief it did not take many seconds before he heard a familiar voice over the radio.

"Shinn, is that really you? Are you here to protect Stella?" The truly lovely woman asked in a tone that sounded both scared, but also slightly relieved over knowing that he was there to keep her safe.

Taking one more quick look around after the Orb mobile suits he immediately noticed that they where all keeping their distance right now, which meant that it did not take long before he once more turned his attention back towards the Chaos.

"Of course I'm here to keep you safe, Stella! Nobody is going to hurt you while I'm here!" He promised her determinedly.

Unfortunately the boy had just barely finished that sentence, when the alarms inside the Impulse started ringing loudly.

And even though he at first didn't have the slightest idea about where the attacks was coming from. He was quick to take another look around to try and find the source of the threat.

Yet it was only once he saw a whole bunch of beams and missiles, being fired at them from the Destroy that he knew what the hell this was about. "STELLA, MOVE IT NOW!" The male Asuka shouted as loud as he could, while he flew full speed straight upwards to avoid the heavy assault.

And he only stopped once he was absolutely certain that he was out of harm's way, where he immediately located the Chaos gundam that was trying it's hardest to get away from the large amount of beams fired from her comrade's machine.

Yet when the head was blown off by one of those insanely powerful red beams. Shinn Asuka could do nothing else, but then watch with eyes widen in horror as the green gundam was just hanging there unable to see where it was going.

And even before the horrified teenager, had time to get the Impulse moving again to try and help her.

Three more green beams and a single missile slammed full speed into, the now, almost completely wreaked-up mobile suit. Destroying what was left of it and making the deeply frightened girl in there, scream loudly in terror as the sad remains of the green gundam, started falling towards the ground so far below them.

Seeing that Shinn instantly did the only things he could think of doing in this situation. "STELLA!" He cried out after the girl. Just before he rushed off full speed after the falling mobile suit desperately hoping that he could catch her before she hit the ground.

Yet his somewhat desperate attempt to reach the innocent girl was caught off, when her so call comrade in the Destroy gundam launch yet another furious attack on him, which prevented him from going any further.

"NO, STELLA!" He screamed loudly.

Just as a couple of tears left both of his panicking red eyes and slowly made their way down his cheeks, while he was forced to watch helplessly as the Chaos crashed with great speed into what remain of an already destroyed building.

But that didn't really slow the truly gruesome crash down a whole lot.

What little that remain of the now grey mobile suit rolled around a few times only to finally end of landing with great force on it's back. Where the very last thing to hit the ground was it's right arm, that was amazingly enough still attached to the rest of the machine.

And not having any idea about if it was even possible for somebody to survive something like that. The crying boy cried out the name of his crush one more time.

000000

Meanwhile further downwards.

Kira too had of course seen what had happened to the Chaos. And even though he had next to no knowledge about, what kind of friendship the brat in the Impulse had with whoever was piloting the Chaos.

He did feel somewhat sorry for the Earth Forces pilot, that crash had looked more than just a little nasty. "Damn! That psychopath apparently only cares about killing as many people as possible, even his own friends doesn't matter to him" Kira growled softly to himself. While keeping a close eye on the Destroy's movement down on the ground.

And once he saw the large gundam fire of yet another attack, in the direction of the Impulse. Kira instantly decided to use the unintentional distraction the Zaft pilot was giving him to his advantage.

So without hesitating even a second he pull out both beam sabers and took off full speed downwards towards the Destroy. Frankly hoping that the highly crazy Earth Forces soldier would keep on finding it entertaining to use the Impulse as target practice.

At the very least until he was close enough to do some serious damage to the right leg.

000000

At the same time over in the purple Windam.

There was no way, Neo could deny how highly shocked he was over what he had just seen. Of all the things he had expected to happen in this battle, seeing Stella being shoot down by Sting had not been one of them.

"What the hell do you think you are doing, you damn fool?!" He asked loudly. Almost completely oblivious to the battle he was currently in with the blue colored Murasame and the yellow GOUF.

Not that he cared about any of them right now, pretty much the only thing on his mind at the moment was to get a response from the green haired fool.

And when the crazy idiot didn't answered him immediately, Neo Roanoke instantly felt the deeply angry vein on his forehead grew even bigger. But just as he was about to actually order Sting to give him a reply.

He heard the green haired teenager let out a deep breath that made it pretty clear, that he found this whole matter kinda annoying. "Ahhhh get over it Neo! It's not like I actually shoot the whiny bitch down on purpose. But if you ask for my opinion, she was much more annoying than useful" he said in a tone that made it completely obvious to Neo, that Sting didn't really believe that he had done anything wrong here.

But just as the mask man was about to say something back to him. He noticed that the Freedom was now making it's way towards the Destroy.

And even though he should probably warn the bastard about that. Neo was quick to decide, that he honestly couldn't care less about what the white and blue gundam was planing on doing to Sting, and the Destroy.

So he just kept his mouth firmly shut.

Unfortunately as much as Neo would truly have liked to see Sting getting what he deserved. He did not get the opportunity to do so, when the right arm was suddenly without warning blown of his Windam.

And once that happened he instantly turned in attempt to try and defend himself from the next attack. But just as he found himself reaching for a kunai the blue mobile suit responsible for the last attack fired two more beams at him.

The first one destroying the head, while the next one removed the left wing on the Jet pack. So it was completely impossible for the purple mobile suit to stay airborne any longer, which meant that now he too was falling towards the ground.

Yet unlike the Chaos gundam there was actually a few of the thrusters on the Windam that still function. So if he was just a bit lucky he should at least be able to soften the fall just a bit.

So he would not end up crashing in the same highly gruesome manner as Stella. Yet that certainly did not mean that this wasn't going to hurt like hell. But as he mutter out a few minor curses about the guy in the Murasame.

He heard the very person that had been responsible for all of this damage on his machine begin talking loudly out over the radio. "Miss Murrue, come and pick up this pilot! We are taking him with us once we leave Berlin!" The pilot of the Murasame said loudly.

And even though Neo Roanoke knew that he would under normal circumstances have seriously disliked the idea of being capture by an enemy ship. He much to his own shock and surprise, found himself thinking that ending up on the Archangel was something he was suppose to do.

"What the heck is the matter with me these days?!" He muttered loudly, while mentally preparing himself for a rough landing.

Yet as he was doing that, he did not realize that the two other mass-produced mobile suits was fighting not very far above him. "I'm really sorry old buddy! But if you insist on attacking that Windam, you just have to go through me first!" Dearka yelled. While firing the beam rifle after the GOUF seriously hoping that he could remove the right arm without hurting Nicol.

Yet not all that surprisingly, Nicol was quick to get out of the way, before any of those beams could hit him. "I'm sorry too, Dearka. But if that guy has any information about the Plants or Zaft in general, then I have to make certain that you guys don't get your hands on him" Nicol said determinedly.

Just before he throw the heat rod out after the Murasame, hoping to entangle the beam rifle, before Dearka could get anymore shots off. Yet just when it seemed like he was going to accomplish that small task.

The Murasame moved slightly backwards where it immediately got over into it's mobile armor mode, then flew full speed up over the whip like weapon. "You know Nicol, I can honestly say that the guy in the Windam don't know anything more about Zaft, than the rest of us on the Archangel does. It's just really, really important that we have a small chat with this guy" Dearka said.

Still not wanting to tell his old green haired friend who Kira and him believed was inside the purple mobile suit.

That however did not in anyway mean, that he didn't give Nicol a few hints about the identity of the pilot.

"Especially miss Murrue would definitely like to see this guy again. And that's not something I will allow you or anybody else to interfere in, Nicol Amalfi" The former Buster pilot said in a low tone.

While thinking briefly about everything the kind brown haired woman had done for him and Miriallia.

At first when he had decided to remain down here on earth together with the woman he loved. He had been having a few problems finding a place to live. But he had only been apartment hunting a few days, once miss Murrue had discovered what was troubling him.

She had immediately invited him to live with them out in that big house, which was of course an offer he just couldn't say no to. And once he and Miriallia had started talking about living together, the brown haired woman had been more than delighted about having Miriallia move in with them too.

So by bringing Mu safely back to her. The young Coordinator sincerely believed that he could finally repay the Captain for all of the kindness she had shown him. And if Nicol Amalfi, really was so determined to prevent him from carrying out this highly important task.

Then Dearka Elsman, was more then ready to give his former team mate the biggest ass kicking in history. And with that in mind the small frown on his forehead grew slightly in size.

Just as he hurried got the Murasame back over into it's mobile suit mode.

Where he immediately fired a single shot in the direction of the yellow Zaft machine, which not all that surprisingly was quick to start shooting back with the beam gun placed on it's right arm, while charging straight towards him with the beam sword ready to strike.

Seeing that Dearka quickly fired one more shot at the yellow GOUF hoping to disarm his friend before he could get too close. But just before the beam could make contact with the Zaft machine Nicol swiftly maneuvred the close-quarters combat mobile suit down beneath the green beam.

And realizing that he simply didn't have enough time to increase the distance between himself and Nicol.

The blond mobile suit pilot immediately released his grip on the rifle then pull out the beam saber and got ready to face Nicol head on. Even though he of course already knew that the former pilot of the Blitz had much more experience, in the whole close combat thing, then he would ever have. And the GOUF mobile suit was much better equipped, for that kind of situation than a Murasame.

But that most definitely didn't mean that he was going to give Nicol an easy time getting past him.

And he had only just finished that thought when the two mass-produced mobile suits slammed their melee weapons together.

000000

Yet while the two old friends was busy beating the crap out of each other.

Kira was presently flying not all that far above some of the few more tall buildings, that was still standing from the Destroy's rampage through the city. "If he keeps on focusing on the Impulse just a bit longer, I should be able to catch him by surprise" the brown haired man mumbled to himself.

While giving his lower lips a light yet highly nervous bite, as he tighten his grip on the controls in front of him. Then started hastily making his way towards the Destroy gundam from behind.

Sincerely hoping with all of his being that he could finally put an end to this battle, and make absolutely certain that this crazy murderous bastard would not hurt or kill anybody else here in Berlin.

And once he was in range of the huge mobile suit. He instantly made the two plasma cannons jump up over the Freedom's shoulders. "This ends right now! I'm going to make sure that you will never hurt anybody ever again!" The eighteen-year-old man yelled.

Feeling somewhat nauseous and highly displeased with the thought about having to add yet another human being to the long list of people which he had kill.

Yet a single look around at all the bloodshed and destruction surrounding him. Made Kira Yamato, feel more than just a little determined to make sure that this insane lunatic would never get the opportunity to do something like this ever again.

So while feeling the deep determination run to just about every fibre of his being.

And with that in mind he had no hesitation about pressing down on the button that was of course meant to fire the two plasma cannons, which meant that it took even less than a second before each of the weapons fired an extremely powerful red beam straight towards the right leg on the Destroy gundam.

And once Kira saw what kind of damage the attack, inflicted on the ugly monstrosity. A small satisfied smile appeared briefly on his lips, before his expression turned completely serious again, as he reached down and increased the Freedom's speed even further.

Yet as he did that, he wasn't overly surprised when an extremely ticked off voice started talking to him over the radio. "Why you rotten bastard! You are going to pay for that! I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU PAY!" The psychopath yelled. Then slowly turned and fired four powerful red beams straight towards him.

But having already predicted that the insane pilot was going to do something like that. Kira swiftly gave the controls a hard twist so he got the Freedom into a side position and in between the two closer once of the two highly deadly red beams.

And it was only when he was safely out of harm's way that he turned the gundam upwards again, and continued heading onward towards his target. "After destroying two cities and killing so many innocent people! I'm definitely not the one who is going to pay here!" The young pilot said in a loud voice.

Then without giving the crackpot a chance to come up with a response. He slammed the right handed beam saber forward into the already heavy damaged area of the leg. Only to follow up with another attack from the left saber not even a half second later.

Which was to say it mildly the final straw, the completely beaten up leg simply wasn't able to bear, the tons of heavy weight of the upper body of the monstrosity of a mobile suit any longer.

Something which was clearly shown by the many cracks that was now starting to appear just about everywhere on the leg, and by the way enormous mobile suit was slowly starting to tilt more and more to the right.

But even with the knowledge that it wouldn't be long now before the Earth Forces war machine, was down for the count. The Freedom pilot was nowhere done with his extremely rough disassembling of the right leg.

Kira Yamato simply continued using the two beam sabers like drumstick bashing first the left one forward and then the right one. Slowly but steadily working his way through the thick metal, until the leg finally snapped in two.

And while feeling deeply relieved to know, that there was no way this ugly monster would ever get up again without some really serious repairs. Kira decided to leave the task of bringing the Destroy gundam to the ground, to none other than the earth's gravity.

And realizing that staying so close to the overly large piece of trash could be quite risky. Incase the huge Earth Forces war machine actually collapsed down over him and the Freedom.

So without sparing all the damage he had made on the Destroy a second look.

Kira instantly throw himself backwards away from the monstrosity.

Where he watched as the psychopath piloting the Destroy evidently tried everything he could think of in the heat of the moment, to keep the mobile suit standing even with just one leg.

Yet it was pretty obvious for all who was watching this, that there was simply no way the left leg could handle the kind of pressure that was currently put on it.

So it took only a couple of seconds before a few cracks started to appear on the grey colored body part. And the mobile suit fell sideways to the ground where it send a light shiver through just about every part of Berlin.

It was at the same time when Kira heard the next words from the psychopath.

"NO! This is impossible! This is not what was suppose to happen! I was suppose to be invincible, I CAN NOT LOSE!" The mass murder shouted out in a panicking tone, that made it sound very much like he did not believe what was actually happening here and now, to him and the Destroy.

And it was only once the machine roll over and landed hardly on it's back, that he finally realize probably best to hurry up and get out of there. This piece of junk was completely useless now, maybe once he was safely away from there he could ask Neo to let him pilot the next one, if Logos made even more of these highly powerful mobile suits.

Yet he had just barely finished that thought, when the still function alarms started sounding loudly out through the cockpit. "What the hell is going on now?!" He asked loudly, while trying fanatically to figure out what was going on.

And it did not take long before he got the answer to his question, as the exact same mobile suit responsible for putting the Destroy in this condition appeared about ten meters above him, where it immediately point all of it's weapons directly down at him.

"Oh crap! I need to get out of here! I haven't done anything so bad that I deserve to die!" The green haired man yelled, while trying hard to get the Destroy gundam's cockpit open as quickly as possible.

Yet while he kept on loudly telling himself just how kind and innocent he truly was. Kira was chewing hardly on his lower lips, as he took one more look around at all of the destruction and mayhem the black Earth Forces mobile suit had made.

But even though he was honestly deeply happy to know, that he had finally manage to stop the monster. Yet being easily able to hear everything the nut case was saying about not having done anything wrong, honestly worried Kira quite a bit.

If he did not feel any kind of guilt after all of this, there was a large chance that he might just do it again someday in the future. And just the thought of how London, Paris or some other capital city could end up like this, was more than enough to make a deep determined look appear in both of Kira's eyes as he aimed all of the Freedom's weapons, down at the very machine that had done all of these terrible things.

And once he heard the pilot say something about, having to live so he could get his rightful vengeance.

The young man pressed softly down on the button to the many weapons, which immediately fired all the Freedom's weapons, directly downwards at the very place where the cockpit was located, on the fallen giant of mass destruction.

Seeing that Sting's eyes widen as much as they possibly could. As he fought desperately to get the cockpit open, so he could get out of the mobile suit.

He still wasn't done, he still needed to teach and show the entire world that nobody got away with messing with him.

"Ahhh to hell with it! I can't get it open! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT FREEDOM AHHHHhhh!" The psychopath yelled, while sending the white and blue gundam one last deeply hateful glare.

Just as the five powerful beams tore there way through the thick metal, he was presently cowardly behind. Killing him instantaneously before he had the chance to get out even one of the the many other curses he had wanted to yell at the Freedom and it's pilot.

Meanwhile Kira didn't show much reaction to what he had just done. Now he was just hanging there, looking at the remains of the Destroy gundam with a somewhat unreadable expression on his face.

This crazy moron might have done a lot of terrible things. But that did not mean that Kira was overly pleased with the fact that he had just taken the life of yet another human being.

But a small part of him realized that if he had let this maniac get away after all of this. There was a very high possibility that he would most likely have done something like this again, at some point in the near future.

And if another disaster of this magnitude occur again, simply because he shown mercy to this completely ruthless and cold blooded man. The male Yamato realized that there was simply no way, he would ever have been able to forgive himself for letting him escape in the first place.

So after slowly letting both of his eyes glide over all the damage, he had made on the enormous mobile suit. Kira felt pretty certain that it would be almost completely impossible for anybody to fix this damn monster again.

Which was honestly something he was really relieved to know.

He seriously didn't feel like going up against something like this again anytime soon. But even while thinking about what a nightmare this battle had been he finally turn his gazes away from the Destroy, trying to find Dearka so they could hurry the hell up and get out of there.

And it did not take long, before he spotted his friend's blue mobile suit. Where he of course instantly noticed, that Dearka was having quite the violent discussion with Nicol at the moment.

"I better get up there and stop those two before they accidentally kill one another" the deeply exhaust teenager mumbled to himself.

Honestly believe with all of his being, that there had already been more than enough people, who had lost their lives today.

And while still thinking so hard about that he immediately rushed off in the direction of his two friends. Sincerely hoping that he could reach them in time, before either one of them ended up doing something that they would most likely regret, for the rest of their lives.

Yet not knowing that Kira was heading straight for him right now. Nicol Amalfi didn't even bother to aim probably, as he fired the beam gun at Dearka then throw the heat rod out after the Murasame, trying to entangle one of the legs on the blue machine.

But just when it seemed like the green haired boy was actually going to succeed in doing that.

The Dearka moved slightly backwards, while firing both of the machine guns, mounted in the Orb mobile suit's head.

And even though Nicol of course knew that weapon wasn't the most powerful one install on his friend's machine. He realized that it could still do a great deal of damage should he get hit by the weapons.

So he made sure to get his shield up to defend himself before any of the many shots could make contact with the GOUF's armour. "Nice nice try old buddy, but you have to do better than that" the green haired man said loudly.

Just before he once more throw the whip out after the Murasame. Now attempting to wrap it around the right arm, so he could make sure that Dearka wouldn't have the chance, to use that damn saber against him again.

Unfortunately before he could actually accomplish that minor objective, a single well aimed beam suddenly flew in from out of nowhere, and destroyed the heat rod before it could even get close to the Murasame. And as the green haired Zaft pilot turned to try and figure out who had been responsible for the attack.

He saw the Freedom heading straight towards him. And knowing just how much more power the Freedom gundam had compared to his own mobile suit, he instantly realized that it would be a very bad idea for him to let Kira get to close to him.

So he hurried lifted the beam gun and was just about to open fire on the white and blue gundam. Yet with him being distracted like that. He of course did not notice that his other old friend in the Murasame, was now charging right at him with the beam saber held high.

Which meant, that he did not even get one shot off, before Dearka quite violently disconnect the right arm from his mobile suit. And before he could even think about complaining about that a well place shot from the Freedom blew away the left arm too.

So now he could only watch with a slightly nervous expression on his face. While the blue Murasame was floating around on his right side still holding on to the beam saber in a somewhat threatening manner.

And if that wasn't bad enough the Freedom gundam was hanging only a few short metres to the left of him, obviously prepared to blow the head straight off his yellow colored mobile suit, should that become necessary.

Yet as he was hanging there, nervously looking between the two mobile suits. Wondering what in the world they where going to do now. He knew both of his former comrades in arms well enough to know that they where not going to kill him.

But since they had been so keen on capturing, that Earth Forces soldier in the purple Windam. There might just be the possibility that the Archangel and her crew would like to get their hands, on a Zaft prisoner too.

It did however not take many seconds before he heard a well-known voice say a few calm words to him.

Which honestly did served to ease his worries quite a bit. "If I was in your place, Nicol, I would head on back to the Minerva. To tell you the truth I'm seriously not in the mood, to fight with anybody else today. Least of all with you my old friend" Kira said quietly, sounding both friendly yet very, very tired after this truly nightmarish ordeal.

Studying the Freedom for a few long moments Nicol finally made the GOUF nod a single time in understanding. "Very well Kira, until next time then" Nicol said also using a somewhat friendly tone.

So without saying anything else to either Kira or Dearka. He slowly turned his armless mobile suit around and started making his way back to the grey spaceship not that far away, from their current position.

Seeing him go like that, Dearka just couldn't help but let out a deep relieved breath. "Thank you for the help, Kira. I was honestly starting to fear that either him or me would have gotten seriously hurt if we had continued fighting like that" the blond man said.

Then slowly placed the beam saber back where it rightfully belonged on the Murasame.

Hearing him say those words, Kira slowly turned his attention away from the retreating GOUF, and over at his friend's machine. "You are welcome Dearka, now lets hurry and get back to the Archangel before even more Zaft forces arrives here. Besides I can't deny how much, I'm looking forward to see Mu again after these past two years" Kira said in a slightly anxious tone.

That did nothing to hide how much he had actually missed the blond man, who had been like an older brother to him through most of the last war.

Not saying anything to that at first Dearka just looked at the Freedom for a couple of seconds, while seriously wondering if he should say anything to Kira about how the Hawk of Endymion had not been able to recognize his own name.

Yet after thinking briefly about that for a tiny moment or two. The former Buster pilot made the decision. That it was most likely best to wait with that seemingly highly complicated discussion, until they got back to the Archangel.

So without saying anything to his fellow pilot and friend, Dearka slowly reached over and pull the level that got the Murasame over into it's mobile armor mode.

Then took off in the direction of the Archangel with Kira following not that far behind him.

Meanwhile down on the ground.

Murrue Ramius was standing in the cold snow with a small amount of tears slowly making their way down her face as she looked at the very man they had all thought had died, when protecting all of them from the Dominion's Lohengrin.

The man which she knew deep inside, she was still very much in-love with and had missed so undescribable much since he had been shoot down at the second battle of Jachin Due.

And as she kneel down next to the unconscious man, that could still make her heart pound so inbelievable hard even after all of this time. The highly shocked woman slowly brought her shaking hand over and gently brushed away some of his now long blond hair from his face.

And while yet another couple of tears left her eyes the brunette sobbed out one single word that the deeply baffled soldiers standing not far behind her had no trouble at all hearing.

"M...Mu!" She said in a small whisper.

Which made it completely obvious to both of her bodyguards, that she was fighting hard not to break down any moment now. So after taking a small glance over at each other one of them stepped forward and placed a hand on the Captain's shoulder.

"Ma'am, I honestly don't think it's wise, that we hang around out here too much. So let's hurry up and get La Flaga back to the Archangel" the well armed soldier said in a reasonable voice, while at the same time wondering just how exactly their blond friend had survived the destruction of the Strike gundam.

Hearing those words Murrue slowly turned her head and looked up at the man standing behind her, where his expression immediately told her that he too was more than just a little confused about finding the blond man like this.

But even though just about every single part of her being would have preferred not moving an inch from her position next to Mu.

There was a tiny part of her that realized that there was some truth to what the soldier had said. It truly would be a bad idea for them to stay here in Berlin any longer than they had too.

The possibility that Zaft reinforcements was on it's way here was after all extremely high.

So while forcing back a loud sob that was threatening to leave her body, Murrue struggled briefly to get up on to her slightly unsteady feet. "Yo...you are right, let's get going. Before the crew on the Minerva actually realize we are down here, but please do be careful with him, we don't want him to get even more hurt now than he already is" the brunette said, with two more lonely tears running down her face.

Knowing that the Captain was right about them needing to be careful with their fellow crew mate, the lead soldier looked down at the Commander where it was pretty obvious that he had taken quite the beating when he had crashed landed with the Windam.

Especially the right shoulder which had at some point been dislocated need some attention from the Archangel's doctor.

So while still wondering just how exactly the Hawk of Endymion could still be among living. The extremely bewildered soldier turned his head and looked back at his comrade, where he immediately gave him a small sign that told him to come over there and give him a hand.

Yet while those two where getting ready to carefully transport Mu back to the Archangel.

Murrue simply couldn't keep herself from trilling around, with the lovely engagement ring, which did very rarely leave it's location around her neck since Kira had first passed it on to her, shortly after the truly gruesome battle at Jachin Due.

To be continued.
