Arizona and Callie spent their last two lunches together since their talk in the gym. Today would be the last day of the week, they had really been enjoying one another's company.

"How did you like you first week?" Callie asked when sat for what would be their third get-together of the week for lunch.

Before Arizona answered there was a knock on the door, "Ms.Robbins, here's that essay you asked for." Jesse came in and handed it to her.

"Thank you very much Jesse." she said cheerfully with a smile before he headed back out.

"Right, my first week has been good, the teachers here seem nice." she smiled cheekily.

"They are." Callie said trying to hide her blush by drinking water. "So your classes are going well? No one is giving you any trouble?"

"They really know how to talk their way out of things, I'll say that. They also are good negotiators, i got that from the second day. Clever kids."

"Keeping you on your toes." Callie smiled at her. "So tell me something about Arizona Robbins."

"What do you wanna know?"

"Hmm," she thought. "Ok something easy, why did you start teaching here?"

"Not easy." Arizona thought with a sigh.

She took a deep breath and started, "I took some time off last year to focus on myself. I was in this funk for a while before that, and coped by ignoring it. At a certain point I couldn't ignore it. I started getting to class late most mornings because I couldn't bring myself to get out of bed. And when I finally got there I was unprepared and sleep deprived, I was snappy a lot of the time because of it. My bestfriend who worked with me, Teddy. She let me be for the first month, to try and figure it out on my own, but I had gotten so comfortable that for a while I wasn't sure I had a will to get myself together." Arizona glanced up expecting to see a look on Callie's face that told her she was planning her exit route so she wouldn't have to listen anymore, but what she saw was the face of someone who cared, who was catching every word as it fell out of her mouth, she swallowed and continued.

"She sat me down one day and talked, I was silent. i hadn't been listening to much of what she was saying, but she mentioned something about my kids in class and i realized that i wasn't the teacher they needed. So i handed in my letter of resignation, did what I had to do, and took the time off. Even then, when I wasn't working anymore, i just made promises to myself everyday, "today I'll start working on it". Today would turn into tomorrow then the next day. And up until then, I never got what people with depression went through. i always told myself I'd be safe from it because i grew up with both parents in the same household, i was the girl everybody liked in school, i basically pooped rainbows. i told myself people had to have this big life altering, traumatic experience happen to become depressed, but sometimes it didn't take much of any of that, depression isn't picky on person."

Arizona sat up a little straighter here and kept going. "Teddy and my brother Tim were there for me. Them just being there helped, there wasn't any pressure. Just support. Eventually I came around more and more, Old Arizona started peeping out again. Sometimes i still have those days, but I handle them better. It's a work in progress."

"So here i am." Arizona ended with a deep breath.

Callie was silent for a while.

Arizona watched the gears turning in her head.

"So you have a sibling?... Sorry... I'm not skipping over what you just told me... I'm trying to come up with something that covers everythying going through my mind without rambling."

Arizona gave a small laugh and said, "It's ok, I didn't expect anything now."

"I like that you came out with perspective." Callie blurted out suddenly. "Sorry... I'm saying that i like that about you, every opportunity is an opportunity to learn, you are always trying to gain something where you can."

Arizona blushed, "Thank you, i try."

"So i have a question for you Ms.Torres."

"Shoot."

"Is Callie short for anything?"

"What makes you think Callie isn't my full name?" she asked suspiciously.

Arizona shrugged, "I don't know, but is it short for anything?"

"It's short for Calliope."

Arizona shined a wide grin. "That name is beautiful. How come you go by Callie."

"I just prefer it." Callie shrugged this time.

"Well to share the name of a muse is quite the gift." Arizona said teasingly.

"I'm well aware, my aunt reminds me of that every chance she gets."

Arizona laughed.

It got quiet for a moment.

Callie spoke, "Arizona, would you go on a date with me?"
