She always saw the brighter side of things, the better side of things. No matter what bad things happened, she always kept smiling.
It's what her mother told her. 'No matter what happens, Beth, show the world your beautiful smile and it will make it all better.'
She took those words to heart and wore them to school.
She loved every animal on the farm, from chickens to horses. She loved riding the horses and stroking their manes, from Nellie to the others.
Nellie was always nervous, but never for her. Nellie was silent but gentle towards her.
Beth never imagined the worst would come to her.
Even when she had to live in a prison, Beth still had hope. Even when her father died, she still had hope.
Even when they were separated from everyone and it was her and Daryl, she still had hope.
Even when she was stuck in a hospital, she still had hope.
'I know.' She thought as she stuck scissors into Dawn, only to see black as the bullet struck her.
Everyone screamed.
Maggie most of all.
"BETH!"
She cradled her dead sister and shouted her name. But she would not wake.
