Author's Note: Excuse the three day silence of not updating. I wanted to have a clear idea where to go with this chapter. I am splitting it into two parts, this is Bright's explanation of his story to the Berkians. The next part will be Flashwing's story to the dragons of Berk. I hope you enjoy, readers. Also, this story has almost 2,000 total views! Can't believe it has become that popular in a short amount of time. (Honestly, thank you, dragon readers!)
Tq3942: Here's the new chapter. Enjoy!

Chapter 18: Bright Tales
Lightwing looked at her adoptive son. "So, shouldn't we join them?" she asked in her sweet, motherly voice while Bright nodded.
"Yeah, let us do it," he agreed with her before they began walking away from the docks and into the village. Most of the place was quiet, due to the chief having gotten all the villagers in the Great Hall.
"This seems like a nice place," Flashwing commented. "Especially since their attitude has changed on the dragons."
"It was really good that Chief Stoick decided to let us live with them," Luna added. "Ever since the Monster had been defeated by Hiccup and Toothless, we've been welcomed with open arms."
"Monster?" Their parents asked in unison.
Scales hummed. "This…Monster, does it relate to the Red Death?"
"Yeah," Bright nodded. "How'd you know about it, Alpha?"
Scales looked up to the sky, thinking. "She had been a fiend and a mind controller of dragons that lived near Dragon Island. Since the Dragon Nest was far away from her own nest, we had no problem living peacefully. However, her greed had bad omens that caused her immense hatred for humans, thus leading her dragons to raid Berk and any nearby villages."
Bright looked down to the ground, sighing. "We've been there, to Dragon Island."
The three Light Furies looked at him, surprised. Luna was about to scold him, but he held a hand up to her, silencing her.
"We heard her order," Bright continued. "That we should come to her, make ourselves her servants, but Toothless, Hiccup and Astrid arrived shortly after, and we managed to break free of her command. When she spotted us, we just barely escaped with our lives."
Flashwing and Lightwing blinked, comprehending his words carefully.
"It was a good thing you broke her influence," Scales commented. "If you haven't, I was afraid you would be forced to raid villages like the other dragons. Or worse…you would have been made to serve her dark will and end up living with her, forever."
Bright nodded. Soon they arrived at the Great Hall, and Bright pushed the door open for his family and Alpha, letting them inside first. Once they were within the building, the Vikings' chatter and laughter quieted upon seeing them.
Stoick stood from his chair, stepping up to them. "Well, I thought I'd at least be the first to welcome your family here, Bright. Welcome, Light Furies, to Berk. I hope Bright here has kept yourselves comfortable here in our village."
Scales nodded. "Indeed we have."
"I'm pleased," Stoick smiled, after seeing the pleasant look on Scales' face. "Bright, you should come and tell us a little more about you. While you do that, your family can get around with our dragons nearby over there," he pointed to the other side of the Great Hall, where the dragons were sitting and waiting.
"Sure, chief," Bright said, walking with him back to the Viking table, while Luna, their parents and Scales went over to the dragons.
"You know, I probably would never have guessed your family was dragons," Tuffnut said to Bright, leaning into his ear.
"You'll be more surprised when you hear what I have to say," was all Bright replied.
Tuffnut grinned, before being pulled back by Ruffnut for his 'intrusion' of Bright's side.
Astrid looked at Bright. "What are you going to tell us?" She had a hunch it was about his past.
"Something I should at least get out of my head," Bright answered. "I'll be telling you all about who I am, as well as to what happened to Luna and I during our time together."
"Sure," Stoick nodded, sitting down on his chair again. "Go ahead."
Bright took a deep breath, feeling all eyes looking at him in exciting silence. "My name, as you all would have known by now, is Bright Lightwalker. I've been raised by Lightwing and Flashwing as part of their nest in the Dragon Nest, under Alpha Scales's rule where everyone has been an equal. When I was about four, I met my master, Arne, a wise man who has taught me Norse as well as some other things regarding human behavior and how to craft some items.
When Luna and I were out flying one day, we came across a ship that belonged to humans known as Dragon Trappers. Luckily, we managed to escape before we even knew what they would do with us."
"You've been caught by Dragon Trappers?" Hiccup asked suddenly, shocked.
"Hiccup, quiet," Stoick scolded.
"Sorry…" Hiccup went silent.
"Thank you, Stoick. Anyway," Bright cleared his throat, "after our fortunate escape from the Trappers, we returned to the Dragon Nest. When Arne learned of my return from the Trappers, he decided to teach me some combat techniques with a sword. However, since it was all for practice, I didn't acquire a sword from him until I was ready.
When I turned five, Luna and I began to rescue other dragons from the Dragon Trappers, and sometimes I clashed with someone named Eret, who was the one that captured me and Luna."
"Who is Eret?" Ruffnut interrupted, interested in the name.
"Quiet," Stoick scolded her, holding a hand to silence her. "Let him continue."
Bright thanked him again. "As soon as we rescued a family of Tide Gliders from the Trappers, I was training swordsmanship with my master one day, when there was another summoning from the Alpha that demanded my presence. Alpha Scales told us about how there was a man who wanted to make a dragon army by capturing every dragon in existence, and so I clashed with this man.
After rescuing some of the captured dragons, Luna and I returned back to the Nest. Once I was ten, I was beginning to learn how to craft items from a smith while my master watched on when we were in a nearby human village.
Once I learned how to craft items, and when I was fourteen, Luna and I decided to fly here, to Berk, because we wanted to have something to do. But of course, at that time, you guys were having a war and we arrived at a bad time. Thankfully it all ended in a good way."
Stoick nodded in agreement. "That it did."
"And so, here we are," Bright finished.
"Aw, there isn't anymore?" Fishlegs complained.
"Well, not now, anyway," Bright shrugged to his friend.
Stoick rubbed his chin in deep thoughts. Gobber raised a hand to Bright.
"Yes, Gobber?"
"Something that bothered me was how you were able to craft items in that smith when you were ten," Gobber started. "Who was the one that taught you? And didn't he try to…you know?"
Bright crossed his arms in thought. "Good question, Gobber. The smith master had been skeptical of me at first, but when Master Arne told him I wanted to learn, he decided to teach me. As to what his name was, it was Blackbeard the Large."
"Weird name," Gobber shrugged.
"Anything else?" Bright asked, looking at the Vikings, who were murmuring between themselves in their own conversations. Then, they shook their heads. Bright smiled, pleased.
