This story Idea came to me after reading a Fanfic Called "Masters of Genjutsu" by Tsukune08, and I'm Also a Huge Fan of Norse Mythology, so I wanted to make my own Story Combining the few Ideas, The First Being that Instead of Naruto being put on Team 7 he is instead Chosen to be the Apprentice of Yuhi Kurenai 'The Genjutsu Mistress of Konoha', The Second Combining Norse Mythology with the Uzumaki Clan, the Third is to do with the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu Secret and they are some more but i'll Keep them a Secret for now.
The Original Story at the time of Rewiring had 248 Follows, 201 Favourites and 25 reviews. After rereading it recently there were some things I liked but a lot I hated. So I decided to rewrite the Story, and Hopefully i'm going to Fix the Pacing of the Story, Along with something I didn't Like and and Taking a Idea that a Guest Left that I WISH I HAD THOUGHT OF I'm going to use.

Chapter 1 - Newer Beginnings
Yuhi Kurenai is a Stunning fair-skinned slender woman, With long black untamed hair and Beautiful Red Eyes that can Piece the Soul of any one. She is normally a strict, but Caring and Intelligent woman who finds it hard to trust most Males do to they Lust for her. Recently promoted from Special Jonin to Full Jonin after completing a Mission to Aid that of Hyuga Hinata. A girl that is a daughter to her in all but blood.
She Recently asked the Hokage if she could be a Jonin Sensei, and over the few weeks after getting approved she has been watching the students of the current Class. Out of the current 27 students she is currently interested in Hyuga Hinata a Girl that she has supported for a few years now, who is currently sitting by herself, she is Shy but intelligent a genius if she only had the confidence to break out of her shell, she would be a force to be Reckoned with. Inuzuka Kiba, a rather ill-tempered boy who thinks he is the Alpha of his class, Kurenai often wonders how he became like that with two Powerful Kunoichis for a Mother and Sister. Finally Aburame Shino, a quiet boy who from what she can tell is Extremely Intelligent but hides it well, She has Worked with members of the Aburame clan in the past and knows that they are all logical and intelligent. Their unique Jutsu and Fighting style Often puts people off but that has never bothered her.
This is the team she will probably get a Tracking team, with her Specialising in Genjutsu and being a Minor Chakra Sensor, they could make the quiet Fearsome team. As she is watching the academy early in the morning, she sees all the students but one, the Young Blonde jinchuriki Uzumaki Naruto. That can only mean one of two things.
The first is that he overslept, something that isn't uncommon from what she has seen, but the Second that is more common is that he is about to pull a prank, and that when she hears it the sound of Paint cans hitting each other, as she looks to where the sound is coming from she sees that he has painted the Hokage Monument.
She chuckles at this, surprised that she didn't see him do it for Kami sake. He is wearing a 'Kill me Orange Tracksuit', but as her duty she is going to catch the boy. She sees him running and evading Anbu, Jonin and Chunin, and with her duty as a Shinobi of the Hidden leaf she gives chase as well, She follows him to the shopping District that has a Maze of Alleyways, using the Roofs she follows him, she goes to cut him off at the end of one alley but he turns, going down another one, after a few minutes of this repeating. Until he is caught by a man with Brown hair tied up in a ponytail and a scar going over his nose.
Kurenai Lands in front of the two and looks down at the Blond Boy?, as she looks at him he has a lot more of a Feminine face and from the way he is standing it looks a little Feminine but Naruto adjusts and she just waves it off.
The Woman speaks up to the two of them, "I have a question for our local Prank King" she says shutting daggers at the boy, the boy Flinches. "What is your question, Miss kunoichi?" Naruto asks her. "Why did you keep changing direction in the alleyways?" She asks the boy in a curious Tone. His Voice breaks as he answers "I felt like someone was following, so I turned to try and escape."
She nods at the boy, "that's all I wanted to know." before leaving. As she gets back to her spot to watch the students, she is thinking "could he be a sensor? Or was it just instinct from being chased all the time? I need to know more about him before I come to a conclusion".
Kurenai's Apartment - a few Night's After
Yuhi Kurenai is sat in her apartment with a Cup of her favourite tea, reading a book on the Uzumaki Clan, after looking into Naruto and finding that he is part of the Uzumaki Clan, She remembers learning about them during her time at the academy but not much, only that they helped found Konoha. But o'boy after reading about them she knew they were feared for their Skills in Fuinjutsu but that's not the half of it, before they founded the Village of Uzushiogakure the former Home of the Uzumaki Clan, they used to Pillage, Raid and Destroy anyone that got in is way. One of the Most noteworthy Recorded Achievements was them Carrying a LongBoat on to land Through the Forests of the land of Fire, Raiding the Palace of the at the time Daimyo filling it with Look then carrying it back to the Ocean to sail off again, they didn't even need to do that as they could have just Sealed everything away, no they did it just because they could. It wasn't until the Senju and Uchiha, Combined Efforts to stop them, and then they finally calmed down. They used to be called 'The Vikings of the Shinobi World'.
They had a unique Fitting style, the Maelstrom Style, that focused on moving around their opponent like a whirlpool, and cutting their opponents to bits with either quick attacks From Daggers and Handaxes or Strong attacks with Swords or Great Axes. They were said to have a very unique Bloodline consisting of 1 to 3 elements, The Body, The Mind and/or The Soul. The Body provided a Healing factor that would Heal even the most Grievous of Injuries, the Mind allowed them to sense Chakra and Finally the Soul That would give them a huge amount of chakra. They were a few mutations of The Body, The Mind and The Soul, but they are the main ones, the rest only really belonged to that of the So Called Royal Bloods, but they aren't Mentioned in her book as they would classed as Clan Secrets.
Kurenai Smiles to herself as she thinks "tomorrow when teams are going to be assigned i'm going to ask for Uzumaki Naruto can be my apprentice, because from what i've seen, he might have poor chakra control, but with the right Training, and tutelage he could become the best Genjustu master in Konoha. With his mind, and unorthodox Pranks he might be able to create some of the most complex Illusions that Konoha or the World has ever seen." she thinks to herself Hoping that the Boy passes the Exam and even if he does she might be able to sponsor him for him to pass
Hokage's Office - Following Morning
The following morning she walks to the Hokages tower to speak with the Hokage. Arriving asks the secretary if the Hokage is available and she tells her that is he. She enters the room after being told that he is ready to see her and sees the Old Kage, Sarutobi Hiruzen The Oldest Living Hokage a Man that has survived 3 Great Shinobi Wars, he has Grey hair and a goatee, and dressed in his white and red Hokage outfit.
"Kurenai-Chan, what can I do for you today?" he says with a warm Smile on his face. "Hokage-sama, I was just wondering if team placements have been set yet?" she asks with a Straight face.
"They have not yet," he says, as Sort of Struggling on who to give to whom, "Is there a reason why you ask?" he Curiously asked. She clears her throat "Hai, Hokage-sama," she announces, "I was wondering if one Uzumaki Naruto Passed?" The Hokage Narrows his eye, Wondering why she would ask about the Boy, but confirms with a Slight nod. "Well I was wondering If I could offer him an Apprenticeship."
Hiruzen's eyes widen not thinking anyone would want him as an apprentice, Not even Kakashi, a man who studied under Naruto's Father wants him as one, said man wants the Last Loyal Uchiha, Uchiha Sasuke, as an Apprentice but the Kage refuses to grand him that one as Sasuke needs to Gain bonds, "Im curious to why you want to have Naruto-kun as your Apprentice?" he Asks in an Amused and curious tone.
"After Everything i've seen of him the past few years, and especially a few days ago after he painted the Hokage Monument in broad daylight, he has such an extremely creative mind and a talent you don't often see." he pauses to take a breath, "I feel because of his Status it is going unnurtured at the academy, and I think giving the time and care, he could become a Master in the Art of Genjutsu."
Hiruzen Leans back into his chair, and thinks for a moment. Closing his eyes weighing the Pro's and Con's. Before opening them again, "I was Originally Planning on giving you a tracking team, because of your abilities in Genjutsu and with you being a Minor Sensor, but with your Reasoning, I think you might be right." he says with a warm smile. "But now the question is who would I give the tracking team too?"
Hiruzen ponders out loud, his first option would be Kakashi, but those on that accursed council, "why Lord Second wanted to give civilians power on how to dictate how a Shinobi village is beyond him," he thought for a moment, wants Kakashi to train the Last Uchiha, but Kurenai speaks up, breaking the man out of his pondering, "I have a suggestion, Hokage-sama," He looks at her again, "I would Either say that of Hatake Kakashi or Mitarashi Anko, they are two of the Best Trackers in the Village not counting that of the Inuzuka Clan."
Pondering her suggestion, the Kage smiles, liking the Idea, "well I'll have to think more about your suggestion, but you might be right." Correcting his Posture, He studies Kurenai, "Normally I would give you your team next week but since an apprentice are different, I will allow you to Approach Naruto-kun today." He Informs her, "He Should be coming here soon to collect some money for helping stop a traitor last night, I will introduce you to him then."
Curious, she has to ask "what happened last Night?" not knowing what happened and the Hokage informs her. She is Surprised that he was able to Learn a B-rank Jutsu in just two hours, and to be able to use it in combat is even more amazing, but Like clockwork, the Hokage's office shoots open and Naruto Enters with a Smile, "Ji-chan," Naruto Shouts at the Hokage.
Chucking at the Boys Antics, "Naruto-kun, I have someone who wants to meet you officially," he says Gesturing over to Kurenai. Naruto looks and Studys the Woman, a fair-skinned woman with a slender build. She has long black untamed hair that reaches her upper back, and a very unique set of Crimson eyes, with an additional ring in them. She has make-up consisting of red lipstick and purple eyeshadow. Dressed in a red mesh armour blouse with only the right sleeve visible. On top of that is very broad material which resembles bandages with a pattern on it similar to those of rose thorns. Her hands and upper thighs are also wrapped in bandages and she wears the Konoha forehead protector and Standard shinobi sandals.
Naruto, after studying her, then recognizes her, "you're that Konuichi from the other day," he says to her. She Smiles at him, "I Happy you Remember me, Uzumaki-san. I'm Yuhi Kurenai, and I would Talk to you in Private." she says with a Warm and inviting Smile. Naruto Side Eyes the Hokage who gives him a Slight nod, that she is one of the Good ones, "Sure, Yuhi-san." he says with a Nervous Smile.
The Jade Bonsai - Shortly After
Kurenai is sat over from Naruto in his 'Kill Me NOW Orange' Tracksuit, in a Cafe that she frequents often 'The Jade Bonsai', Named after the Large Bonsai in the centre of the Cafe, the owner a former Ninja, she doesn't kick Naruto out but welcomes him, like any other customer as a lot of other places should.
After Ordering some Tea and Waiting for it to arrive, she Truly Studies the boy, Naruto has yellow-blond, spiky hair and blue eyes, his face is More Feminine that She remembers from the Previous meeting. She is a bit jealous of his Flawless Skin, she wonders if it is because of Kyuubi. He is Dressed in an orange and blue jacket with a white collar, a white swirl with a tassel on the left side, and a red Uzumaki crest on the back. He is wearing a pair of orange pants with a shuriken holster on his right knee, blue sandals, and a blue forehead protector.
After the Tea arrives she breaks the silence that has formed as Naruto is uncomfortable and not used to being welcome anywhere except his Favourite Ramen House. "Naruto-san Tell me about yourself, Hobbies, Dreams, and dislikes. If it makes it easier for you I'll start first." getting a Swift but firm nod from the 16 year boy. "Well my name is Yuhi Kurenai, my Hobbies reading, hanging with my friends and growing my own tea leaves, my Dream is to bring Genjutsu out of the stigma that it is in being a useless art, and my Dislike are People that are ignorant towards Genjutsu, Perverts and traitors. How about you?"
Naruto talks a deep breathe to calm his nerves "my name is Uzumaki Naruto, my Hobbies are Gardening, eating new types of ramen, Trying to make new friends and training, my Goal was to become Hokage but I feel like that is impossible now, so now it's to be a Ninja that people can respect and to find out about my family" he says with some sadness his voice, he looks down, for a moment, before continuing, "and my Dislike are Fan Girls, the three minutes it take ramen to cook and people who can't tell the difference the glass and the water in it." he says that last part with some venom in his voice.
She nods along as she gets a better understanding of the boy, "Well Naruto-san, I've got to tell you, you are lucky." This getting a confused look from him, "Normally a genin would have to wait a Week before meeting a Jonin sensei, but I would like to offer you an Apprenticeship." she tells him with Warm smile, that confuses Naruto.
"Why Offer me a Apprenticeship?" he asks not really believing her, "I mean im the Dead Last in my Class," he finishes not really believing her. Mentally sighing she thought it might be an uphill battle with him but she can tell that he does believe that Nice things just happen to people like him. "Naruto, if i'm going to be honest with you. Out of all the 27 People in your Class you have the Most Potential, With Your Stealth Skills and your Creativity when it comes to your Pranks, I would be a Fool not to offer you an Apprenticeship." she says Straight faced.
Naruto doesn't Really know what to say, the fake that someone other than Iruka believes in him, is shocking. He thinks for a moment, "What does an Apprenticeship involve?" he asks, needing to get all the facts. She understands why he is a bit hesitant given the way he is normally treated, "First of all, you will be my only Student, so you will have my full attention so the train can be tailored to your individual needs instead of a Groups needs. Second, When it comes to missions the pay is split 50/50 instead of 25/25/25/25. And Finally Naruto, you get to start all your Ninja career before the rest of your class." she finishes hoping that is enough to entice him.
He thinks about it for a long While, "as your Apprentice, Will you be training me to become a Genjutsu Master like yourself or will it be an all rounded Apprenticeship?" he asks, and she understands what he is getting at. "I'm always going to be honest with you Naruto, I believe you can become a Master of Genjutsu, and it's because of your Pranks." She tells him and he is confused at that, "Your Mind doesn't Work like other peoples." she says before pausing for a moment trying to find the way to word it. "I think I can Explain it but I need you to answer a question for me." she asks and he nods, "When you are going to prank someone, how do you choose and come up with the prank?"
His face Lights up because no one has ever asked him before, "that simple," he says with a Smile, "First I choose someone that has annoyed me, threatened me, Attacked me, or I have an Idea that just won't go away. If I choose a Target, I learn everything about that I can, Where they live, Work, hang out, who they are friends with, and do they have any Enemy." he tells her and she wasn't expecting that, "then depending on what they did, depends on how Hard I prank them. It's normally anywhere from minor stuff like dropping paint on them to full blown psychological warfare." and her Eyes widen, "you know the normal stuff from Moving stuff in the house to completely rearranging the entire house whilst they are gone. I once used my own creation of a Super strong Glue and stuck a Uppity member of the Council furniture to his ceiling for attempting to get me evicted." he tells her.
And she is kind of shocked and since the tactics he just explained were all tactics that Shinobi's can normally use when they are planning for a assassination mission. "And that is why I think you have a Perfect Mind for Genjutsu, it's all about Creativity and you have the mind to do it." and she can see that he is coming around, "and just Imagine, being the First Hokage that is a true Master of Genjutsu." she says believing in his dream.
That has him, "Ok let's do this, Kurenai-Sensei. I'll be the Best Genjutsu Master there ever was." he says with his Smile that can convince anyone that he can do anything. Smile at him she is glad he accepted. "Ok Naruto-kun," she says to him, "before we start your Training, we are going to have to improve your Basics, since I read your academy reports and you lack… well… Everything." she says with Sorry look on her face, he looks defeated, "but with your Shadow Clone Jutsu it'll take less time" she Tells him and he looks confused wondering how the Shadow Clone Jutsu can do that, Noticing she explains the secret behind the Jutsu, that puts him at awe not knowing the Jutsu can do that.
"Also your Outfit will should change it. A Shinobi should not be wearing a "Kill Me Orange" Tracksuit." she tells him, Naruto mumbles something under his breath, With her Icy Looks, "what was that?" She Asks. Gulping she says louder, "This outfit is the best, Orange is such an amazing colour, and on top of that, Clothes are expensive, the money I got today will barely cover me for the month." he tells her, but that confused her, he got almost 35000 ryo for what he did, and with that much of money would last her a few months at most, her food bill was only 500 to 1000 ryo a month and her rent is only 1000 ryo since she was in a shinobi only building, Clothes aren't that expensive maybe a few 1000 to 10,000 ryo depending if they are Shinobi Clothes or Civilian Clothes.
"What do you mean Naruto-kun?" she asks in a concerned voice. "Well from the 10,000 stipend I get a week, my Rent is 2000 ryo a week, food is normally 6000 plus ryo a week and that if I ever have ryo left I put 500 ryo away in my saving and the 1500 ryo normally, that is left over which I normally spend at Ichirakus since it the only place I can eat out."
This Piss off Kurenai, she knows Shops are over Charging the boy and not only that, but they must be selling him out of date food or food that is close to out of date, his landlord is ripping him off in rent, and if he is paying that for the basics what is he playing for clothes.
"i'm going to have to talk to the Hokage about this" she thinks to herself, "Well Naruto since you are a full fledged Shinobi now, you can move into a building that is a lot cheaper as apart of the Shinobi Program, and as your sensei, I can help you out and show you some good shops that won't overcharge you, Ok" she says with a sickly Sweet Smile not that Naruto Notices, as he just nods at her.
"Kurenai-Sensei?" he says, getting her out of her own head, "Yes, Naruto-kun?" she replies, "Since im your Apprentice, We will need to talk to the Hokage about something that I can't talk about openly." he tells her and she looks confused but understands as it probably has something to do with his Status as a jinchuriki.
Hokage's Office
After Finishing their tea, the two head back to that of the Office of the Hokage to inform him about the Apprenticeship and so that she can learn some things she needs to know. Upon Arriving the Kage Greets them with a Smile, "Kurenai-chan, Naruto-kun, Welcome back."
"Thank you, Hokage-sama." says to the man, "we came to inform you that Genin Uzumaki Naruto, has Accepted my Offer to become my Apprentice." she says with a Smile glad he accepted. "Naruto also informed me that there are things I would need to know but need your Permission to talk about it." she says, still slightly confused.
She then watches the Hokage nod understandingly, before Dismissing the Anbu Sealing the room with Security Seal, getting up from his Chair she watches the Hokage move over to a wall that has the symbol of Konoha on are activate a Seal and watches as a Folder Appear. He hands it to her.
"This Folder contains Naruto-kuns Private information, Please Read it thoroughly." he tells her. She is curious as to what secrets it holds, Opening it she reads what is inside.

Kekkei Genkai: Unnamed - Allows the User to Switch Genders at Will (suspected) currently it is Random but Female 80% of the time.
She stops reading after the Kekkei Genkai part, then Looks between the Hokage and Naruto for a moment, "are you joking or is this real?" she asks, confused. "It's quite real, Kurenai-chan." the Elderly Kage tells her. "It started Happening after Naru-Chan unlocked their Chakra at the Age of 4." he then explains how Naruto was running from a bunch of Villages and they just Switched, the Anbu swooped in and Saved Naruto and after taking them to the hospital they confirmed that they had a Kekkei Genkai. "Naru-chan, Also used to have 3 whisker-like scars on their chicks but after they Kekkei Genkai Awakened they lost them."
Whilst it's a lot to process she feels like it maybe a bonus for something. "I know what you are thinking Kurenai-sensei," Naruto Says and she looks at him, "Im lock as Female Every Month for a Week Since 'That' Started and it started This morning so i'm currently stuck as a Female for a Week, the only upside of this is that I got used changing my Voice with Chakra so I can fool people when I suck as a female, along with already having Naturally Feminine Features." they tell her.
Accepting Everything she does wonder what Naruto's thoughts on other aspects of being a Female and Male at the same time, and goes back to reading the File.
Naruto's Apartment - Week Later
It has been a Week since Naruto and Kurenai talked to the Hokage about Naruto's Unique Kekkei Genkai, Kurenai also Informed the Hokage about how her new Apprentice was being treated and he wasn't doing anything about it. Reminding him of his most Passionate Student he chooses to help and expedite the process on something, First is getting Naru-chan into a Shinobi Only building, funny enough it's the same building that his Sensei is in and over the corridor from her. As the previous tenant recently got married into the Inuzuka Clan and moved into their grounds.
Naru-chan loves they new apartment is bigger than his last, it has a bigger Living Room/Dining room/kitchen with enough room for the boy/Girl, a larger bathroom, with a walk in shower and a bath, instead of a Bath shower combo, it even has a guest room something they have always wanted, a Master Bedroom with a Walk in Closet and Balcony that he can grow Plants on Naru-chan is extremely excited for that and no one will mess Her Plants as its a shinobi only building watched by Anbu, and almost all the Anbu like Naru-chan, Since they Pranks would always get them a good workout and it often helped on the boring days.
Kurenai also introduces him to a few Former shinobi owned shops that wont charge him an arm and a leg for Food, Along with a few Clothes that tailor to more Open minded people. She introduced them to the best Ninja Armoury shop in Konoha Called 'Rising Banners', Owned by a Blacksmith 'Senka Riku' an Older man Completely Hairless from working the forge his whole life, he looks about 60 years old, but still muscular, with scars across his arms, Dressed in Standard Blacksmithing attire.
Upon Meeting Naruto he recognizes him as Kushina child, as she has his mother Face. He Greeted her with a warm greeting as he was a person, anyone else still something Naru has to get used to. The man seemed to already know about Naruto Kekkei Genkai, but when Asked he said the Hokage informed him as they knew he they would come here for Ninja Supplies. He also Informs them that his GodDaughter was also informed as she helps around the Ship, and would take measurements for him if Naruto was more comfortable with that and he was. After the measurements are taken and Clothes are Ordered They end up leaving and are told to come back in a week to retrieve Naruto new Outfit.
Before heading to Wait for Naruto's new outfit, Kurenai and Naruto head to a few other places so she can grab Studying materials for the Blond. Books on the basics she should have learned in the academy, Along with some things for some Personal studying for Naruto, like everything they can Find on the Uzumaki Clan, Which Naruto took to like a duck to water, Reading and Rereading over and over again, Excited to learn about her Clan she even redesigns her outfit to respect her clan and Senka Riku goes with it.
Upon receiving Naruto's new outfit he was quite excited, she believes that it would be something that his ancestors would be proud of. A Burnt Orange Coloured Hooded shirt that stops just above the elbows and travels just below his stomach about half way between his waist and knees, on top of that is a Leather Chest piece with the red Uzumaki Clan Symbol on the back, a shoulder pad on his right side that has is strap on to the Leather Chest Piece, and under the top is that of a Mesh Armoured top, and to over the Waist is that of a Leather cumberbon. His Arms are protected with Leather Bracers that go from his Forearm and Slightly over the top of his hand, which he has Gloves that only cover his first three fingers. A pair of Black Anbu Trousers, and Black Ninja Boots that cover the full foot, That Hide Training Weights for his legs.
Naruto also orders a Set of Weapons for himself the First was a Set of Two Daggers called Seax, both 15 Inches long by 3 Inches wide and she gets 3 sets of them. She Also Orders that of a Nodachi that is 140cm Long it's almost as tall as him but she just feels that she needs to have this Weapon. For the Seax she gets a Back Holster that wraps around her Waist and for the Nodachi she gets a back Holster. What Surprises her is that intotal all this cost him 50,000 ryo, and he gets 5 sets of the clothes and 2 sets of Seax and 2 Nodachi. He informed Kurenai that the 3 jumpsuits he has cost him 40,000 ryo, which pissed her off.
Another thing she learns about Naruto is that her rainy day fund had close to 1,750,000 Ryo, saying it was in case anything bad happened and he stopped getting his stipend, saying that would at least last him a year if he was careful. Kurenai thought to herself, "he has more money saved up than I do and this is his rainy day fund, i'm going to have to Report a few stores." and she did.
By end of the Week, Naruto is sat in his apartment with Kurenai, her having his clones Read, Whilst he Sorting out a Bookshelf in his Living Room, as she is sat at a table Drinking Tea, she Decides that now is the best time to talk about his training.
"Naru-chan," something she started calling him after learning about everything and it was just easier since he was a Girl most of the time, the Current Girl Stops what she is doing and turns to her, "starting tomorrow, we will be beginning your Shinobi Training, and Along With Missions to get you into a retina," she informs her, Whilst she is excited for Training, her new Friend Tenten informed her about the Joys of D-Rank Missions and lets just say she wasn't impressed. "Since you have completed 7 years worth of Work in a Week we will start with teaching you the Basics of Chakra control tomorrow using your Clone, Followed by a few Missions in the afternoon." With a Nod from Naruto, she is excited to start to train the Girl.
"Now I know you want to start to learn your Clans Fighting Style the Maelstrom Style, and I Know i'm not a Expert when it comes to Taijutsu, I have asked a Jonin Friend of mine to give you some pointers we will be meeting him After you have Fully Completed your First Chakra Control Exercise." She is informed and again Naruto Nods.
"Now dispels your Clone, we have a long day tomorrow," she tells him and following Orders he does so, "Ok, Kurenai-sensei." She replies following Orders like a good student.
Training Ground 18 - Following Morning
The sound of Feet running up trees can be heard throughout the forest, as a Horde of 200 Naruto's attempt to run up and down Trees, start learning the true Basics of Chakra Control. "Remember Naru-chan, Chakra control is the Key to Genjutsu!" she shouts like a Slave Driver, "I'm going to have you running up and down those Trees till it's second Nature to you, got it!" she Shouts, "Yes, Kurenai-Sensei!" Naruto shouts back. That gets her to Smile, as he is doing good progress with the 200 Clones. Occasionally a Clone with Fall and Dispels his control gets slightly better depending on how well the clone was doing, but he just makes another Clone and they continue.
As Kurenai is watching like the slave Driver she is being, a Purple Hair Woman Drops down Next to her, but keeping hidden so as not to disturb the Blonds "Training", "so sis, how is your Geki training?" The new Figure asks.
Kurenai turns her head and Smiles at her friend, "Well Anko-Chan, currently Slow then again it's only his first day training, since all of last week was getting him settled in and teaching the basics of what the Academy should have taught him." she says with a Grumble, "I did hear you were getting a team this year?" Kurenai Says with a Big Smile on her face, knowing that she was responsible for it.
Anko Scowls, "I don't know how you did it but when I do, I will get you back." Anko says to her best Friend. "I don't know what you are talking about, but Hokage-sama, must have thought you worthy of leading one." she tells her, slightly messing with her, "do you know who is on your team yet?" Say asks curiously.
Giving up on the Scowl as she was trying to figure out how Kurenai did it, she decides to tell her, "Hyuga Hinata, Inuzuka Kiba and Aburame Shino. A tracking team. At Least it is one of my Specialties. Shame I have been told I'm not allowed to team them on how to 'interrogate' people the way I do." Kurenai nods Glad that she isn't teaching Hinata how to do that as the Kind Hearted girl would probably Faint, "from what i've seen and heard, Aburame Shino is smart but Hides it, Inuzuka Kiba thinks he is an Alpha and Hyuga Hinata is smart but needs to be broken out of her shell." Anko takes the information from her Friend.
Sighing as she doesn't really want a team but has to go and meet the Hokage, "I have to go and see the old man, for a pre team Meeting," Anko says with Fake Excitement, as she starts to walk off, Kurenai turns back to her student and Smile before Says to Anko "Good Luck". The Woman Laughs, "I don't need it, sis," Anko Says with a Sadistic smile on her face. "I know, it was for the kids". with Anko Shunshin away in a swirl of leaves, Kurenai smiled and giggled to herself feeling sorry for the new genin.
The Original Naruto Stops Training, as he feels someone leave. "Kurenai-Sensei, who was that, that just appeared and then left?" he asks, turning his head curiously. "You Sensed the person that was here?" she asks for a nod from him, Surprised he sensed her as she didn't notice Anko till she Spoke. "How long have you been able to do that Naruto?" Naruto shrugs "since before the Academy." she says before taking a thinking pose, "maybe since I was 5."
Nodding at him, "it was a Friend of mine, Mitarashi Anko. she just stopped by to get some advice. Now get back to training and we can talk about your ability to sense people later, ok." she says to the boy, getting a nod from him as he goes back to work. "If he is actually a sensor, this could be even better, I will have to talk to the Hokage about how to train him, as he is a stronger Sensor than me," she thinks, getting a Huge Smile on her face. "The others won't know what hit them, From Deadlast to Top Shinobi".
Hokage's Office - Moments Later
The Hokage's Office is Filled with Hopeful Jonin-sensei, hoping to get the next Sannins to train. Each Looking into the Crystal ball on the Hokage's desk. As the Teacher of the class one Umino Iruka giving his Speech about teamwork and the will of Fire. A man with Black Spiky hair and Chin Strap beard Dressed in the Standed Leaf Jonin outfit is currently looking around the room for someone till he notices that of the Purple Haired special Jonin that is Mitarashi Anko, The slender woman, that has light brown, pupil-less eyes With violet hair styled in a short, spiky, fanned-out ponytail. She has on a custom-made outfit that is crafted of thin metal mesh to fit the lines of her body, that covers her from neck to thigh. Over this, she wears a tan overcoat with a purple in-seam and a pocket on each side, a dark orange mini-skirt, a dark blue belt, and pale grey shin guards. Along with the typical forehead protector, she wears a small pendant that looks like a snake fang. "I guess the Rumours are true, Anko is getting a team. But where is Kurenai? I know she was getting a team this year." he thinks to himself.
He continues looking and spots a Man with Gravity Defying White Hair, his Headband pulled over one of his eyes, and a mask covering his lower face, also wearing the Standard Jonin outfit, who is also paying attention to the ball, "Kakashi, i'm surprised you are here and not lost on the path of Life" he says to the man, getting the attention of the whole Room, along with a few snickers.
Kakashi gives the man an Eye Smile "of course I'm here, I wanted to see what team I get, as I am still in the dark, the only one I know is the Last Uchiha." he tells the man, "Speaking of people, I thought you would be standing with Kurenai." this getting a few giggles from a few other jonin. Kakashi looks around "where is Kurenai?" he says slightly confused.
The Hokage Clears his Throat, "Kurenai, has chosen to take an apprentice, instead of a Team." this getting whispers from the others. Kakashi Scowls a bit, "Hokage-sama, I was curious as to why Kurenai was able to take an Apprentice but I was Denied?" the Man asks Slightly Annoyed. "That is simple Kakashi-Kun, Whilst you wanted to take the Last Loyal Uchiha, alone, I believe that is the wrong path for him, he needs to Build bonds with other people, and not close himself off more than he already has, he needs more than 1 or 2 people as a Support system to help move on." he tells him and Kakashi accepts that.
"As for Kurenai, she has taken Uzumaki Naruto on as her apprentice. After seeing Talent in him that others Ignored, she was able to convince me that it would be for the best, and I agreed." the old kage tells everyone as he lets out a puff of smoke out of his pipe. A few ask if that's a good Idea because of what he is.
"I don't See a problem with it." Kakashi says, understanding the Decision of the Hokage, "Plus She is a Master of her art, Should Naruto lose control, not that he has to this date, to my knowledge at least. she would be able to calm him down or even trap him in a Genjutsu." Hiruzen agreeing with Kakashi's assessment, even if he can tell that the man is bitter.
"Changing Subject, curious since I think I'm one of the only ones in the dark, who else is going to be on my team?" Kakashi asks with his Eye Smile. The Hokage looks at Kakashi and Mentally Sighs wishing the man would have paid more attention at time, "the team you will be getting is Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura and …"
Iruka's Classroom - at the sametime
As Iruka's class Waits for their teacher to arrive to be told what team they will be on to start their Shinobi career. Sasuke is sat by the window Brooding, Yamanaka Ino and Haruno Sakura are fighting over who sits next to him, Nara Shikamaru is "sleeping", as his best friend Akimichi Chōji is eating next to him, HyUga Hinata is sat by herself waiting to see if Naruto will show up, Inuzuka Kiba is talking to his Ninja Hound Akamaru and Aburame Shino is waiting patiently.
As the door opens up, they teach Umino Iruka, With a Smile on his face. The class goes quiet "Beginning today all of you are real Ninja, but you are still merely rookie 'genin'. Now… you will soon be assigned duties by the village, So today we will be creating three man teams and each team will have a 'jonin Sensei, but since they is a odd number of you so…" but before he can continue Kiba interrupts him, "Is that because that Idiot Naruto didn't Pass?'' getting a few laughs out of the class. Hinata thinks to herself "so it's true Naruto-Kun Didn't pass." She is worried for him, Shikamaru thinks to himself "Wait, Naruto didn't Pass didn't he or she, I saw him or her the other day he had his headband on and everything. Troublesome".
Iruka continues, "well Naruto did Pass" getting a few disbelieving looks out of the class. "Naruto, Was chosen by a Jonin to become their apprentice. So he got to start his career Early."
Sasuke Frowns wondering why the Dope was chosen and not him, Shikamaru Thinks "Troublesome", Choji stops eating for a moment, Hinata is Excited for him but hides it well, Kiba thinks he is so Lucky, Shino is Neutral, Sakura and Ino are cursing the Blond thinking that is should have been Sasuke to get chosen for an apprenticeship.
Back with Naruto
As he runs up and down Trees, she suddenly feels like a bunch of Fangirls want to beat him up and him and his clone lose concentration Falling off the Trees, forcing the Clones dispelling. Naruto sits up after hitting the Floor Hard, she starts rubbing his head "ow, I can't tell what hurt more the Fall or from getting the memories back from the clones."
Moving over to him, "Naru-chan what happened?" she asks Concerned, "Why did you and all your clones lose concentration?" getting a hand up, "I don't know Sensei, I just felt a bunch of people wanted to hurt me, because of Sasuke-teme." Kurenai looked at him like he said something strange, but figures that it may have been announced that Naruto has an apprenticeship. "That makes sense, how about you give a break after you do one more Lap up and down the tree," she says.
Nodding to his sensei, Naru runs all the way to the top like it was nothing then runs all the way back down. "Good Work, let's go and get some Lunch." she says with a Smile as the two head off.
Back at the Classroom
"Now Like I was saying," Iruka says to the calls "since there are an odd number of students that passed, and a member of the graduated Early they will be joining you to make sure the teams have three genin on them." Iruka finishes as he gestures for the person to enter.
Entering the Room is a Girl about 4 ft 8 with Spiky Black Hair tied in a ponytail, a black vest with a Mesh Under shirt, a Plated Belt around her wrist, Heavy duty Ninja Shorts with Ninja Boots that come up to her knee, her forehead protector tied into her ponytail, she has two red fang marks under her eyes and they is a Black Wolfdog next to her, that comes up to her knees.
Giving a toothy Grin, she introduces herself, "it's a pleasure to meet you all, I'm Inuzuka Nana, and this is Mishka, and Unlike my Cousin Kiba, my Family does produce Talented Ninja." She Finishes with a Innocent smile, getting a laugh from the class.
"Nana Why don't you take a seat?" Iruka tells her, and following instructions she heads up and sits next to her cousin. "Now as for the team". He goes through them one by one, "Team 7 Will be Inuzuka Nana and Mishka, Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura. Your Jonin will be Hatake Kakashi" getting a cheer from Sakura and a few growls from the other girls. "Team 8 Will be Hyuga Hinata, Inuzuka Kiba and Akamaru and Aburame Shino. Your Jonin will be Mitarashi Anko. Team 9 is still in rotation, Team 10 will be Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji and Yamanaka Ino and your Jonin will be Sarutobi Asuma. You will be meeting your Jonin Senseis this afternoon so be back for one, you can all go for a break."
As he finishes Speaking, one of the Windows Shatters as a Banner goes through before unrolling and being pinned to the Wall by two Kunai. The banner Reading 'single and Sexy Jonin Sensei of Team 8, Mitarashi Anko' as the Woman stands in the middle with a Huge Grin, That getting Shocked looks from everyone shocked, "Right Team 8 Meet me at Best Dongo shop in Konoha in 30 Minutes!", she Shouts before throwing a Smoke bomb by the time the Smoke Clears Anko and the banner are gone. Team 8 look at each other before realising what she said and Bolt out the Door.
Iruka is looking at the Window and Screams, "ANKO!".
Konoha Dango - Hour and a Half Later
After Anko's team Arrive Late to her Favourite Dango Shop, she is slightly Disappointed as it took them 45 minutes to arrive, so much for a Tracking Team but then again she is the "Single and Sexy" Mitarashi Anko, One of the Best Stealth Opts in Konoha that isn't in the Anbu. After ripping her team a new one for being late by 15 minutes so she takes 30 in telling them what they did wrong.
Anko then gets to know her team, "Kurenai was right, Hinata needs to be Broken out of her shell, Kiba needs to be shown he isn't Alpha, and Shino needs to just speak more." but she is broken out of her thoughts when she sees a Cart hurling down the street with a Beautiful Raven Haired Woman standing on top of the cart as she as a Younger Shinobi is pulling the cart, Team 8 watches in Horror as the Woman Shouts at the Boy.
"Come on, You can do better than that." she says in a Commanding tone, Anko Breaks out into laughter. "Sis is really putting the Geki through his paces." She says Clearly amused. It is Hinata that is the first to speak, as she stutters out, "who was that with Kurenai-san?", "that would be her apprentice Uzumaki Naruto." she tells the Shy girl. "That was Naruto?" Kiba says in shock, "I didn't recognize him and I feel sorry for him having such a Crazy and Crazy Beautiful Sensei.", Kiba thinks to himself.
Hokage's Office - 6pm
Yuhi Kurenai and Uzumaki Naruto stand in front of Sarutobi Hiruzen, The Oldest Living Hokage and Umino Iruka, a Chunin Teacher that volunteers in the mission Room after the academy is finished for the day. The two men look at Naruto, who is clearly Tired from a full day of Training and Missions, "congratulations to both of you," The Hokage tells them, "you have broken the Record of Most Missions done by a new Genin on they First day, With 12 Missions in 6 hours, previously held by Team 9 now know as Team Gai, with 8 in 6 hours." The Hokage Tells them, giving both to Smile, With Narutos being clearly a tired one.
"Come on Jiji, I could do more." Naruto Says, clearly Tired, and the Hokage Laughs "I'm sure you can Naru-Chan, but there are currently no more Missions today." he tells him and sees the boy regain Fire in his Eyes happy that they are no more.
The Hokage turns his attention to Kurenai, "Kurenai-chan, How is young Naru-chan Doing?" he Asks as he goes to pick up his pipe then decides not to after the look she is giving him. "He is adjusting well,Hokage-sama." She says with a Smile as she looks over at the Girl, "Naru-chan, as completed the full curriculum that the Academy should have taught him, I was more surprised on how much was already they," she informs the men, that kind of confuses Iruka, "Naru-chan could already answer 70% of the questions, in classes that he scored low in." Iruka thinks he might have to check over some of his other Work, "Yuhi-san, Could I possibly get his work?" he asks the woman who nods, "I'll deliver it tomorrow," she tells him, knowing what he wants to do.
"As for his Shinobi Training he is doing quite well, Naruto is definitely more of a physical learner than a book learner, that unless it comes to the Uzumaki Clan," she says with a Smile, "today he got the basics of Tree Walking down today, he just needs to master it now." She says with a proud look, "He just needs to be able to fight on the surface for an hour."
Hearing this shocked Both of them, "HOW!?" Iruka Shouts questioningly, Naruto Smiles with a Cheeky Grin, "Shadow Clones," he informs them Iruka looks Confused but the Hokage laughed. "I see with the amount of Chakra you have combined with your Healing Factor you could get a Weeks worth of Chakra control Training done in a day." Hiruzen says proudly, never even thinking of that.
Curious Kurenai has to ask, "Just Wondering, do you know how many teams Passed the True Genin Test?" Kurenai Asks concerned for Hinata. "I'll Find out Tomorrow afternoon in a Meeting with the Jonin Sensei, I expect you to be there." She nods but Naruto is confused, "what is the True Genin Test?" he asks.
"That right Naruto-Kun you don't know since you got an apprenticeship," Iruka says with a Smile, "the True Genin test, is Given to Genin after they meet they Jonin Sensei, to see if they Jonin think they are ready to become Genin or be sent back to the academy or in some case removed from the Ninja program all together." that does shock him slightly, "Since you have an apprenticeship you didn't have to do one since you were hand chosen."
That Makes Naruto Beam, getting everyone else in the room to do as well, as it's infectious. "Well Naru-chan, let's pick up our pay for today, because today has been a Long day, and you could use the rest," Kurenai tells him and Naruto can help but agree.
After saying they Goodbyes to Iruka and Hiruzen they leave, "He finally looks Happy doesn't he, Hokage-Sama?" Iruka Says with a Tear in his Eye. "that he does Iruka, that he does." getting a Smile from the old man.
Ichiraku's Ramen
After leaving Hokage's Tower, Naruto and Kurenai head to Naruto's favourite Restaurant, Ichiraku's Ramen, where he is currently eating a Large Pork Ramen and Kurenai is having a medium Seafood ramen, she would Rather of had Takowasa but Naruto said he was Paying to celebrate his first day as a Shinobi of the Hidden leaf Village and she couldn't say no, after he give her the Puppy Dog Eyes no Jutsu, something she thinks should be considered a Kenjutsu.
Teuchi and his Daughter Ayame are listening to the week the boy has had, from becoming a Shinobi to having the Best Jonin Sensei in the village that believes in his dream and wants to help him achieve it, to the Cursed D-rank Missions. Both Laugh at Naruto Joy and Misery. But are ultimately happy for the boy finally having someone that believes in him.
After they finish eating, they head back home. Kurenai smiles at the boy "tomorrow will be a straight Straight Training day, since I have a Meeting in the afternoon. You will spend the day Training your Chakra Control, got it." She Tells him in her commanding Voice and Naruto replies with a Simple but confirming "Hai, Sensei".

The Original Chapter one of The Genjutsu Viking, had 5519 Words, this chapter has 8874 words. After correcting things I didn't like and adding new things I think this chapter is a lot better than the original. Holding myself to my current standards which still aren't high, made me hate the original chapter. I was on a call with a Friend talking about the chapter as I was Rewriting it, and I got him to read the original, and then the Rewrite and the exact words to me were, "I know you failed English in school but even I know you are better than that." did it hurt yes but I need to hear it.
