"You know, if you don't leave me alone right now. I will kill you!" Nebula snapped in annoyance.

The sound of her voice filled the quietness of the room, which caused Apophis to chuckle quietly at her irritated voice. Nebula was directly close to his side, the feel of her breath brushing against the side of his neck. As the two of them leaned against an counter.

After Ronan had told everyone that the Kyln was a day away. Apophis was supposed to finish fixing the last remaining adjustments on the Nercocaft, after that, he went to bed for the night but was woken up again by Nebula. However, he still couldn't get her to talk, so now they were in the kitchen, roaming around for a late-evening snack.

"Oh, don't be so dramatic, Nebs," Apophis mumbled softly as he stood crouched to the ground, hand in the fridge.

He pressed his body against the counter and listened closely to the voices outside the Consumer deck or Kitchen area. The voices seem to be discussing how long until the ship we reach and stop at the Kyln.

"That is not my name--"

However, before Nebula could say anymore, Apophis slammed his lips onto Nebula's lips, which caused her to gasp in surprise, but Nebula shushed her. Krobb walked past them, pretending not to notice them, as he grabbed a bag of nitro crackers. It was silent between the two as they watched him exit the kitchen.

Apophis looked back at Nebula, and when he realized how close he was to her face and saw what seemed like almost a blush on her cybernetic features, he grinned at her. Nebula glared at him and shoved Apophis away from her face.

"I just saved your life, you know?" Apophis said into her ear, his warm breath hitting her ear and neck.

"You saved me from what? Krobb telling us to go back to bed; he wasn't going to do anything," Nebula commented in annoyance.

"Look, I might have been messing around kissing you like that, but I can tell something was bothering you, but you won't tell me what, so I decided to take your mind off it. Sorry," He said, backing up from her personal space.

"Your forgiven just this once, but don't ever do something like that again, even if it was a brief peck on the lips," Nebula commanded.

Apophis nodded."I won't do it again, Nebs," He said as he handed her a Yaro root. They left the kitchen to return to their bedrooms for the rest of the night.

"Kid, I can't believe that you snuck into the kitchen to kiss Nebula like that," Krobb said as he watched Apophis walk back towards his room after stopping at the bathroom.

Apophis opened the door slightly before he turned to face Krobb, his father figure, and sighed. He quickly wiped the juice of the Yaro root off of his mouth before he spoke up.

"That was not exactly the plan," Apophis said as he moved his hand away from the mouth."She seemed upset, and it just sorta happened," He explained.

Krobb chuckled in response to Apophis explanation."I'm sure you are starting to understand now what I meant by more than one type of care for someone," He stated.

Apophis narrowed his eyes in thought as he recalled that conversation and thought about how he had been acting around Nebula lately, including calling her Nebs. Not even sure where the nickname came from."I know that my behavior around her has been strange compared to my usual friendship with her, but I still don't fully understand what is happening with us," He said in confusion.

Krobb shook his head."Why, kid, for a young adult, you are clueless. Really think about how you are acting around and compare it to other relationships and see how different it is from your normal friendship and my relationship with Ronan as my older brother."

"Sure, make me think even harder," Apophis muttered, facing the door as he fully opened it."Instead of just giving me the answer I'm looking for. Why do you got be so difficult?" He asked.

"I'm not being difficult, kid," Krobb stated."I am simply trying to get you to figure out things independently. After you call yourself a grown adult, so act like one and figure it out on your own," He said.

"Oh, now you consider me adult when I actually want your advice," Apophis said, rolling his eyes in annoyance."When I don't want it, you go and advise me like I'm Some little kid," He complained.

Krobb chuckled and pat Apophis on the back."Hey kid, that's just how I'm able; besides, watching you deal with the situation is entertaining. Especially that kiss you I pretended not to see, "He said.

"Again, it wasn't much of an actual kiss; I did it simply to relive her mind. Something was bothering her to come into my room, but she then walked out and decided to follow to get her to talk," He said."However, it didn't work, so I distracted her by roaming the kitchen, for it still didn't work, and so I kissed her."

"Oh, you, of all people, should realize she doesn't express emotions, but clearly she wanted to tell you, then she probably got uncomfortable and left," Krobb said."Im sure whatever is bothering her, she will come around eventually and tell you, kisser boy," He said, heading off toward the far end of the slumber deck where his bedroom is.

'He has been like a father to me since my parents died, but he can be a pain. I'm not a kisser boy. I wasn't aiming for that. My mind just acted on its own, trying to distract her mind.' Apophis thought, shaking his head as he entered his room and let out a yawn as he lay down in his bed, drifting off to sleep for the rest of the night

Here we go; another chapter for A Suvior's Strength has been published. I hope you enjoyed it. Apophis and Nebula had a very awkward moment between each. As well as a late talk between Aophis and Krobb. The next chapter will be action-packed. The dialogue won't follow the movie entirely. I'm trying to make the dialogue fit my story and not seem like my character was randomly placed in the movie. Still, some dialogue will be similar because I am watching the movie along with my writing to keep my mind fresh with the first movie's plot.

Very soon, we will be getting into more action once they reach the Kyln to get Gamora.

Thank you, everyone, for reading my story. The support is appreciated!
