Chapter 9: Fate vs Perseverance and Sand vs Lighting

"C'mon! Work dammit!" Miu screamed in frustration as the rasengan in her hand was forming before disappearing.

Jiraya hummed. In their time training, Miu summoned Gamabunta, made a whole lot of clones and made one good rasengan.

And the finals are in a couple of days.

But at least Miu is prepared enough to give a good fight.

"Hey Pervy Sage." Miu asked "You think I can beat Neji like this?"

Jiraya scratched his chin "Neji as a Hyuga, will go for the taijutsu approach, so don't fight him there, keep your distance and when you see an opening, then you attack."

Miu grinned and nodded. She will totally kick Neji's ass!

*With Naruto and Sasuke*

Lighting formed in Sasuke's hand as he rushed to Naruto, who blocked the attack with his sword and pushed Sasuke back.

As he landed, he took out a sword himself and clashed with Naruto's until he was kicked by a heel kick.

Naruto smirked "You improved a whole lot, Sasuke."

Sasuke grunted as he got up "I still can't beat you."

"Because I am jonin. Besides, I think you can win the tournament as a whole."

Sasuke smirked "Hn. Any advice for Gaara?"

Naruto hummed as he crossed his arms "Gaara's defense is great. He hasn't been hurt in any mission, even in a B-Rank. But as you saw with Lee, if you overwhelm him, the sand will not react fast enough."

"I am not that fast."

Naruto smirked "Not with that attitude. You'll figure it out how to do it. But once you have him against the ropes, then you use the chidori if you're close and the Getsuga Tensho, only, ONLY in emergencies."

Sasuke nodded. He is ready to win.

*Day of the Finals*

All 8 participants were in the arena as the Third Hokage started the finals. As they walked to the back, Sasuke turned to Miu "Did that weirdo actually train you?"

Miu grinned as she nodded "Hm! Pervy Sage was actually pretty cool."

"Hn. If you say so." Sasuke said as they waited to be called.

"The first match, will be between Miu Uzumaki and Neji Hyuga! Would they please come to the arena!?"

As they both made their way to the arena, Naruto looked nervous, something Kurenai noticed "Relax. It is going to be fine."

Naruto nodded "I know. But still... Neji is tough."

In the arena, as Miu and Neji got ready, Neji huffed "Surrender, fate already dictated you as the loser."

Miu frowned "From where is this coming?"

Neji huffed "Do you really believe you can beat me? You aren't your brother. You are not even close to his level." Neji glared at her "You are not destined to be Hokage."

Miu growled "Watch me."

She made a cross hand sign "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!"

In a second, hundreds of Miu's popped into existence and the match began. Asuma whistled "I knew she can made shadow clones, but not this many."

Naruto smirked "She really is amazing."

As the clones charged towards Neji, the Hyuga prodigy didn't have any problem repelling them. As more clones became smoke, more were made.

Neji huffed and rushed to where Miu was hiding behind her army, and quickly hit two junken strikes as she fell to one knee.

Just to pop into smoke.

Neji eyes widen as he suddenly was surrounded by four clones and the real Miu aimed a kick to his chin. "Got you!"

Neji jumped back to avoid the kick, while simultaneously kicking two clones, landing behind the other two, and hit them on the back with his palms.

Neji scoffed "Are you done with your tricks?"

Miu smirked "I am just starting."

She threw three shurikens at him and did the following hand-signs.

Ox → Dog → Dragon → Rat → Dog → Boar → Snake → Tiger.

Hiruzen hummed from the Kages box "Now this is a pleasant surprise."

"Shuriken Kage no Bushin Jutsu!"

Naruto eyes widen "Yes! That's my sister!"

The three shurikens multiplied into many more, and Neji knew he couldn't dodge or block them with a weapon.

What a waste.

"Hakksho Kaiten! (Palm Rotation)"

Neji started to rotate quickly as he emitted chakra, deflecting the weapons, making them fly in all directions.

As the crowd cheered Kurenai raised an eyebrow "Isn't that a main branch technique?"

Naruto who nodded frowned "Yeah... how did he learn it?"

Gai smiled "By observation."

The second Neji stopped, he rushed towards Miu and hit her with two precise junken strikes and seeing that it was the real, he proceeded to continue.

Naruto's eyes widen in fear "No way he knows that too..."

64 palms and eight trigrams. Neji hit Miu with that and the Uzumaki fell to her knees. Neji nodded "Give up. I blocked all your chakra coils."

Miu can feel that. But... learning the Rasengan wasn't the only thing that Pervy Sage taught her.

'Alright furball, time to pay the rent!"

Red chakra started to surround Miu and all the Konoha shinobis above jonin knew what was going on.

Neji in the other hand was confused. It was like she had another reserve of chakra, more powerful than the one he blocked!

Miu didn't gave him time to react as she kicked him on the abdomen as she opened her palm "C'mon! Don't fail me this time!"

A small ball of chakra started to form on Miu's palm and this time, Naruto lost the color of his face "That fucking pervert..."

Kurenai and Asuma turned to him "What is that move?" Asuma asked and Gai eyes widen.

"Is she making a Rasengan?"

Miu rushed to Neji as he started to rotate again "Rasengan!" the ball of chakra collided with the rotating wall of chakra.

The rasengan exploded, destroying the rotation and sending Neji flying towards the wall. Neji crashed and fell unconscious.

The crowd didn't know how to react as the announcer spoke "The winner is Miu Uzumaki!"

Naruto grinned "Hell yeah! Good job Sis!"

Miu walked towards Neji that was struggling to stand up, and helped him. Neji gave her a confused look and Miu grinned at him "It was a great fight, Neji! We have to do it again sometime soon."

Neji blinked before smiling "Sure."

Naruto slumped into his sit and sighed "I'm killing that pervert..."

Kurenai raised an eyebrow "Who is that pervert again? I believe I didn't get his name."

Naruto rubbed his face "Doesn't matter." He smiled "I am so proud that it doesn't matter."

(A/N: Temari vs Shikamaru was the same as cannon, let's skip to Sasuke vs Gaara.)

Sasuke was getting ready, and adjusted the simple sword that his sensei gave him. In the time he trained with Naruto, they focused a lot in kenjutsu and speed.

He turned to Gaara who was looking at him, but... he was off from last time.

Naruto didn't notice, but Zangetsu did "Hey Naru-Chan, guess whose seal is weaker."

Naruto narrowed his eyes and he can tell that Gaara is... different since he last saw him one month ago... that means...

"Yep! We got a jinchuriki time bomb in our village! What now?"

Naruto gritted his teeth. Some days ago, all jonin and anbus were informed of a possible invasion, but he didn't expect this! How did Orochimaru convince the Kazekage!?

Back in the arena, Sasuke rushed towards Gaara and in a blink, he was behind Gaara and attempted a slash but the sand blocked it and Gaara gritted his teeth "Shut up..."

Sasuke raised an eyebrow "What?"

Gaara glared at him and waved his arm "Get out!"

A claw of sand was shot towards Sasuke who shunpo out of the way and Gaara was kicked on the back of his head. Sasuke shunpo again and again, opening Gaara's defense, that seemed... unstable.

"Leave me alone!" Gaara screamed as he decided to create a cocoon of sand and locked himself in. Sasuke narrowed his eyes. He shunpo in front of the cocoon and sand spikes came from it making Sasuke dodge.

Sasuke smirked as he sheathed his sword "Time to finish this."

He held his wrist as lighting started to form on his hand. He rushed with the lighting chirping and went to penetrate the defense "Chidori!"

Sasuke smirked as he felt he got flesh and removed his hand. He looked inside and saw how a yellow eye with a purple slitted iris open.

Just in time for feathers to fall in the arena.
