In a building parking lot, three aliens were by a car, one with a blue face, while the second was yellow and had sharp nails on his fingers, while the third was green and looked like a lizard. Blue-Face opened up a handheld tablet, laughing as it beeped.
"This car's as good as ours." he said, as the others nodded.
Unknown to any of them, B-Squad was around the room, Jack and Sky behind a pillar each, Syd on the other side of the car, Val hiding near another, while Bridge and Z were both behind a wall together. Jack peeked out from behind his pillar, as a square showed up, showing Sky holding his morpher to his mouth.
"Squad leader, do we move in?" Sky asked into his morpher.
"Come on, squad leader, answer?" Jack muttered.
"Squad leader, come in?" Sky asked. "Do we move in?"
A square showing Bridge and Z showed up at the bottom, while another of Val showed up in the top.
"¿Qué está esperando?" Val muttered.
They all began to move away from the screen, as Syd kept still behind the car.
"Squad leader?" Sky said, before he and Val vanished.
Bridge and Z turned to each other as they left the screen.
Syd got up and turned around, aiming her blaster at Blue-Face.
"Freeze! SPD!" she shouted, making him gasp.
The aliens all turned and ran off, as the Rangers all came out of their hiding spots and chased after them, Blue-Face skidding along another car's roof as he did. Bridge chased Blue-Face, while Val chased Lizard-boy, as Z and Syd chased Yellow-Head, but Jack and Sky banged into each other.
"Ah!" they yelped, Sky dropping his blaster.
They wobbled slightly before turning to each other.
"What's going on?" Sky asked.
"Stop!" Bridge demanded.
Blue-Face ran towards a wall, before Bridge grabbed him from behind, but then he kicked his feet on the wall, making him bang Bridge's back against a crate. Bridge ducked as he turned around to whack him, then he turned and whacked Bridge with his arm, who grabbed it, before he lifted his arm up and twirled him around.
"Oh!" Blue-Face moaned.
He turned to whack Bridge with his left arm, who grabbed it and spun around while lifting it up, then did so again, before flipping him onto his back.
"Oh!" Blue-Face moaned.
Bridge took out his cuffs and cuffed him.
(Parking lot)
Sky and Jack paced around slightly.
"Nice job." Sky said sarcastically.
"You know what, forgot it." Jack said.
(Outside)
Yellow-head fell against a car, then spun around and fell onto the ground beside it, as Z and Syd came towards him. They both grabbed him and pinned him on the side of the car, but then they backwards handspringed away as he waved his arms to hit them. He blocked a kick from Z with his hands, then ducked as Syd jumped and spun around to kick him, before Z ran past and kicked him slightly, then Syd spun around and tackled him, tripping him onto his chest.
"Ah! Uh!" he moaned.
Both girls grabbed him and picked him up, turning him around, then pinned him against the car, before Syd cuffed him, then they led him away.
(Parking lot)
Sky and Jack kept pacing around, waiting for the others.
"Just great?" Sky mumbled.
(Outside)
Lizard-boy ran towards a door, then tried to open it, when Val came up behind him and grabbed his shoulder.
"I don't think so." she said.
She ducked as he turned and tried to whack her, before she kneed his belly, knocking him against the door.
"Oh!" he moaned.
He tried to punch Val, but missed as she dodged, then she ducked as he tried to kick her, before she tackled him, tripping him onto his chest.
"OH!" he moaned.
Val sat down on his back, pinning him to the ground, before she grabbed his hands and then cuffed him.
(Parking lot)
Sky and Jack kept pacing, before they spotting the others coming back with the aliens.
"I can't believe this." Sky said.
"Oh, this is just great." Jack said, as they saw the others coming back with the aliens. "I could've been in on the arrest, if squad leader would've done their job."
"For once, I agree with you." Sky said.
"Thank you." Jack said, turning to him, before back to the others. "Now who is squad leader?"
The others stared at him blankly, shocked that he didn't know, as they kept hold of the aliens.
"That be you." Sky said, patting his shoulder.
Jack turned to him, then to the others, smiling with embarrassment.
On Grumm's ship, Grumm was sitting by his control panel, watching a hologram image of outer space, which showed several of his fighters flying towards a planet.
"Fly, my warriors!" he commanded. "Victory is near. If I know Cruger, he will send his best and brightest to stop the attack, leaving Earth...completely defenceless."
He clutched his fist proudly.
The next morning, in the Delta Base, B-Squad - minus - Jack all walked down a hallway towards the Command Room, as the alarms went off.
"What's going on?" Z asked, as Cadets passed them.
"It's Code 5." Sky explained.
All six members of the A-Squad all came running out of the Command Room and ran past them all, Purple in the back.
"Is that bad?" Z asked.
"Put it this way, Code 3 is bad." Bridge explained.
"He's right." Val agreed. "Very bad code."
"Where's the A-Squad...?" Syd questioned, as they entered the Command Room.
They all approached the center panel, where Curger and Boom stood.
"What's happening, Commander?" Sky asked.
Boom turned and moved to another panel, as the Rangers gathered around the center one. (Val was on Brigdge's left)
"A full scale attack has been launched against our federation in the Helix Nebula." Cruger explained, before a hologram of Grumm showed up in the middle of the panel. "Emperor Grumm, the leader of the Troobian Empire."
"Eww. A serious contender for one of those makeover shows." Syd commented, disgusted.
"He's merciless and will stop at nothing to conquer what he sets out too." Cruger explained.
"The Helix Nebula?" Sky inquired.
"That is just the beginning." Cruger explained. "He's after this galaxy."
"¿Increíble?" Val gasped, covering her mouth in shock.
"You...You sound like you know him?" Z noted.
"Our paths have crossed before." Cruger explained truthfully, as the hologram vanished. "I've sent the A-Squad to the frontline of the Helix Nebula."
"The A-Squad's gone?" Sky questioned, shocked.
The others had similar expressions on their faces.
"But who's gonna protect Earth?" Z asked.
"You, with Cadet Landors as your leader." Cruger explained. "Now where is he ?"
The door opened up and Jack came in, yawning and still in his PJs. He rubbed his head as everyone turned to him, before he stopped between Z and Sky, who didn't look impressed.
"What's with all the alarms?" Jack asked.
"Oh, nothing much, just an alien invasion of galactic proportions." Syd answered sarcastically.
"Oh." Jack yawned.
"Now that A-Squad is on mission, you're going to have to take the responsibility of leading the B-Squad very seriously." Cruger told him. "Do you understand?"
"Yeah. Okay, I get it." Jack said.
"Carry on." Cruger said, as he turned and walked off.
All but Jack turned and followed, as Boom approached them, leaving them alone.
"Uh, later guys." Boom said, as they stared at them.
He turned around to Jack, who sighed.
"This is so not what I signed up for." Jack sighed.
"Why are you bummed out?" Boom asked. "I would be psyched to be Red Ranger."
"You'd be psyched if you were the Pink Ranger." Jack scoffed.
"True." Boom admitted.
"Yeah." Jack muttered.
"But Red is the big cheese, head-honcho, large and in charge. Why..." Boom began, as he approached the doorway, holding his hands out. "...you get to tell the others what to do, and then they do it."
"Really?" Jack asked curiously, folding his arms.
Later, Syd approached a door, which opened up, then she walked in, but then stopped.
"Oh, my bad. Wrong room." she said, turning around.
She left the room as the door closed, which showed the words 'Syd's room' in letter magnets on the other side. The door opened again as she walked back in.
"This is my room." she said.
She looked around, seeing her bed and stuff on the right sight, which included posters of herself.
"My bed? You've moved my bed?" she questioned.
She turned left and saw Z lying on another bed, which was mostly yellow. She was out of uniform, was lying on a pillow and a teddy elephant, while reading a magazine and listening to music though headphones, resting one foot on a wall.
"What have you done with my stuff?" Syd questioned. "Oh, no, Peanuts."
She moved towards Z and pulled it out from under her head.
"Excuse me? Excuse me? Excuse me, I want an explanation?" Syd said.
"Can't hear you." Z said. "Chill till the song's over, okay?"
Syd ignored her and unplugged the CD player, stopping the song.
"Okay." Syd began.
Z closed her magazine and got up, as Syd picked up a boots from the floor.
"Take these whole lace-less tasteless, trash-dumpster boots, out of my room?" Syd said, throwing it away as Z got up from her bed.
She put her headphones on the bed as they stared at each other.
"Okay, here's a news flash for your, missy. The big-blue dog said, this not just your room anymore." Z explained.
"What?" Syd questioned.
"What's going on here?" Val asked, coming in.
Syd and Z turned to her as she entered the room.
"Just talking to my new roomie, Val." Z said.
"I'm not your roomie." Syd said. "Why can't you room with Val?"
"It's Cruger's orders." Z answered.
"And, Syd, I've already got a roommate." Val explained. "She works in the crime lab."
"Well, can't she and Z swap?" Syd asked. "Or even you and Z?"
Z looked between them, as Val sighed.
"Sorry, but I can't." Val said. "I doubt Jane would get along with either of you."
"Uh, what's going on here?" Jack asked, coming in.
Val turned around and moved away as Z and Syd turned to him.
"Just a little discussion between roomies." Z explained.
"I said, I'm not your roomie." Syd said.
Val sighed and rolled her eyes.
"You three can work out your little spat while your clean up this mess." Jack said, looking around. "On the double!"
"Very funny, Jack." Z smirked.
"And I don't even bunk here." Val explained. "I sleep in another room."
"He's not smiling." Syd told them.
"According to the Ranger academy handbook, article 5, section 3.4: 'When the Red Ranger gives an order, that command will be unquestioned, and obeyed by all other Rangers'." Jack quoted.
"That is what the handbook says." Syd reasoned.
"Oh, come on? You're not buying into this whole 'Red Ranger's the boss of all of us' thing are you?" Z asked.
"I want it done before training." Jack instructed. "Val, you help them even if this isn't your room. Have a nice day."
He turned around and walked out of the room.
"What a jerk." the girls said together.
Z turned to the others, who turned to her, before they all laughed.
"Well, I see we all agree on something." Val joked.
On Grumm's ship, Grumm was now sitting in his throne, holding his staff.
"The Power Rangers have fallen into my trap." he said. "Cruger is now alone, and Earth is ours for the taking."
He laughed as his eyes glowed.
A little later, he heard a noise, making him get up as his eyes and staff glowed.
"Who disturbs me?" he demanded.
A young girl called Mora came in, holding a weird doll called Cindy Sunshine, which only had a few hairs, and an 'X' for one eye.
"Mora, I thought I told you never to enter my private chamber?" Grumm said, claming down.
"Sorry. I forgot." Mora said, mockingly. "Grumm, I don't understand; why are we attacking Earth? It's puny, and the people are ugly."
Grumm laughed as he got up from his throne.
"Grumm, answer my question?" Mora asked, as they both walked off.
"I told you, I have my reasons." Grumm said, as they entered the control room.
"But why?" Mora whined.
"Because." Grumm said.
"Because why?" Mora asked.
"Because I said so!" Grumm snapped, turning to her near the panel. "Now, leave me alone?"
He turned and walked off, leaving Mora alone as she shrugged.
"Somebody's laid their shorts on too tight." she said, looking at her doll.
In the Delta Base, Curger walked past the Common Room's doorway, when he stopped and turned to it, seeing Jack reading a comic on the back couch, not wearing his jacket.
"Hmm?" he muttered, before he entered the room. "Cadet?"
Jack closed up his comic and sat up as he approached him.
"I may be wrong, but isn't there a training exercise of B-Squad right now?" Cruger inquired.
"Yes, sir. I sent them on a five mile run through the Mud Swamp." Jack explained. "Thought it would get them in shape."
"Hmm? The Mud Swamp's a tough course. And you're getting in shape by...reading a comic book?" Cruger inquired.
Jack blushed and took it out from under a pillow.
"Well...as, uh, Red Ranger, I made the executive decision that I needed some me time." he said.
A male Cadet came towards him with his jacket and other clothes.
"Thank you, Cadet." he said, taking it.
The Cadet turned around to leave, but then saw Cruger and saluted.
"Uh, Cadet?" Jack said, holding his jacket, making him turn. "Next time, could you wash them in cold water please? It makes the reds nice and bright."
"Yes, sir." the Cadet said.
He turned around and walked off, as Jack put his clothes down.
"I see you've discovered that being a leader, has it's privileges." Cruger noted.
A female Cadet came over with a tray of food.
"Yeah, who knew?" Jack said sarcastically. "Ah, thank you, Cadet. Right here will do."
She put the tray down in front of him.
"Uh, don't forget, sir. You promised to go over those close contact defensive drills with me later." she said.
"A promise is a promise." Jack stuttered.
The Cadet smiled as she turned around and walked off.
"Tough being boss, eh, DC." Jack said.
Cruger growled slightly, as he wasn't happy with him.
Back on Grumm's ship, Mora was in her room, which had a screen around it, expect for the door, combing Cindy's hair as she sat at her table.
"Don't worry, Cindy Sunshine." she said, unaware that Broodwing was watching from the ceiling. "When we take over Earth, I'm gonna buy you a new dress and shoes, and maybe even another hair."
Broodwing jumped down and landed on the floor.
"Ah!" Mora screamed.
"Hello, Mora." Broodwing said.
"Broodwing, you're not nice!" Mora snapped.
"Silence, child! I'm here to see Grumm." Broodwing said.
The door opened up behind him, then Grumm came in, who just heard him.
"Emperor Grumm!" he snapped.
"My apologises, sire." Broodwing said, turning around. "And how is the Emperor of the entire galaxy?"
"Not the entire galaxy quite yet." Grumm corrected. "I may need your help."
"Like you need another horn on your head." Mora joked.
"Go to your room, Mora." Grumm spat.
"But this is my room!" Mora argued.
"Then go to my room!" Grumm snapped, pointing at the door.
"But you told me never to go into-" Mora began.
"GO!" Grumm roared, his eyes glowing.
Mora got up and stuck out her tongue, before she walked out of the room, stomping on Broodwing's foot as she did.
"OH!" he moaned. "Oh!"
He turned to the door as Grumm touched his head.
"She's so...so cute." Broodwing said, turning to Grumm. "I could have her relocated on an abandoned meteor if you'd like?"
"Hmm? As temping as that sounds, I need her services, as I need yours." Grumm said, turning to him.
"Of course, sire. I can provide everything you need; foot soldiers, robots weapons, for a price of course." Broodwing said.
"Your reputation as a self-serving, greedy mercenary..." Grumm began, before he laughed. "...is well deserved."
He laughed evilly.
At the Delta Base, Jack was now outside, sitting on a long-chair, holding a drink of juice, now with sunglasses on, while the others were finishing the Mud Swamp, crawling under laser alarms, all covered in mud. All around them, other Cadets were doing other training, Humans and aliens alike, with an Aquitian nearby.
"This...is...not...fun!" Z groaned, as she and Bridge finished it.
They both got up, as Sky and Syd finished it.
"Ew." Syd said, disgusted.
Jack lowered his sunglasses, as Sky and Syd got up, as just Val finished it, who was the muddiest of them all.
"Hey, welcome back." Jack said, as Val pulled herself up.
He put his juice down on a table.
"I didn't think you guys would be done so soon." he said, taking his sunglasses off, putting them on the table. "How'd it go?"
"How does it look like it went?" Syd asked sarcastically.
"A little mud never hurt anyone." Jack said.
"¿Sí claro? ¿No hiciste ese curso?" Val grumbled.
Everyone turned to her, but only Jack looked annoyed.
"What'd she say?" he asked.
"I don't even wanna know." Sky said.
"And I'm not telling you." Val said. "Look it up?"
"And actually, that's not true, Jack." Bridge said. "My Uncle Brine got a serious infection for sticking mud clumps up his nose."
Everyone turned to him.
"He stuck mud up his...? Never mind." Z said, before turning to Jack. "I thought you said you were gonna meet us out there?"
"Hello, Red Ranger here? Think I was laying around, reading comic books all day?" Jack said.
"That wouldn't surprise me." Sky scoffed, shaking mud off his hand. "You already missed weapons' class and a surveillance seminar."
Jack got up and looked at him, as some Cadets sparred together nearby.
"Move it, come on!" a Cadet trainer barked.
"I didn't realize it was Blue Ranger's job to keep tabs on my whereabouts." Jack said.
"Come on, you're nearly there." the trainer said.
Jack looked at his team, seeing they all weren't happy.
"Okay. Okay, I get that the mud run wasn't very fun, and as expected, you guys are a little edgy." he said. "Tell you what, take five minutes and get cleaned up before martial arts class."
The team stared at him incredulously, with Sky scoffing.
"Okay, Cadet, move it!" the trainer said.
"What?" Jack said blankly.
"Nearly there. Let's go!" the trainer said.
"Go." Jack said. "Hey, I'm trying to cut you guys some slack. Fine, we'll do it the other way. I'm Red Ranger and that's an order!"
The team all turned and walked off in annoyance.
"He's got no business being the Red Ranger." Sky grumbled.
"I heard that." Jack said.
Sky stopped as the trainer blew a whistle, then he turned and walked towards Jack.
"Think you could do a better job?" Jack asked.
"Yeah, but Cruger picked you." Sky said, pointing at him. "You may be wearing red, but you're not a leader."
He turned and walked off, leaving Jack alone as the other Cadets had left as well.
Back on Grumm's ship, Grumm and Mora both sat by the main control panel, as Broodwing paced around.
"I'm waiting." Grumm said.
"Will you chill?" Mora asked, who was drawing something in a big book. "Art cannot be rushed."
"Unbelievable." Broodwing grumbled.
"I don't want art. I want a-" Grumm began.
"Finished." Mora said, showing him the artwork.
The paper lit up, which showed a robotic blue diamond-themed bee-like alien called Praxis, who had a star-shaped head, which matching shoulder armor.
"Your orders, Emperor?" he asked.
"Excellent, Mora." Grumm remarked.
Mora laughed as Grumm turned to Praxis.
"Total destruction of Newtech City." he instructed.
"I have the prefect machine for the job, sire." Broodwing said.
Everyone turned to him, as he took out a control stick that looked like an arrow with attachments.
"A little pricy, but worth every dime." Broodwing assured.
In the Delta Base, the Rangers were in the Command Room with Cruger and Kat, all around the center panel. (Val was between Bridge and Kat)
"Rangers, you must use the Delta Runners." Cruger instructed. "It's time you moved to active Zord status."
"Whoa! Zords? Like actual Zords?" Bridge asked, amazed.
"Okay, I'm a little freaked." Z said.
"Freaked? I'm nervous." Val said, shuddering.
"You've been trained." Kat assured. "You can do it, Rangers."
"No sweat, guys. Just follow me." Jack said.
"Wait? Before you go, do you have full confidence in Jack Landors as your leader?" Cruger asked. "If you have reservations, speak now?"
"Sir-" Sky began, clearing his throat, holding his hand out.
"Figures. He's just jealous 'cause he's not the Red Ranger." Jack scoffed.
"Nothing personal, Jack." Syd said.
Jack turned to her, then to the others.
"No offence, Jack, but you haven't been treating us fairly since you found out about your status." Val explained. "Sorry."
"I like you as a friend and all, but as a leader..." Bridge began, but was unable to finish. "Hey, did I ever tell you that I really like your dreads?"
"This is unreal. I can be a good leader." Jack assured. "Tell 'em, Z?"
"It's the truth, Jack." Z apologized, for she had to agree with the others. "Sorry."
Jack looked at them all, not saying a thing.
"The team has spoken." Cruger said, before holding his hand out. "You're relived of command and Ranger status."
"But, Jack-" Z began.
"Commander...?" Kat said.
"¿Qué?" Val exclaimed.
"Wait a minute, I-" Bridge began.
"...don't you think-" Kat said.
"I've made my decision." Cruger said, ignoring them all.
Everyone looked at Jack, who reluctantly took out his morpher and handed it to Cruger.
In the city, Praxis stood holding the control stick Broodwing had given him, pressing the three buttons it on had, which glowed, then he laughed.
"Initiating robot assembly." he said.
Three large robotic parts flew up towards the sky, one resembling a large fan with two long blades on top, one resembling a large vacuum tank, with mufflers at the back, while the last resembled part of a dozer tank, without the turret. Lighting came out of the three of them, which all combined together, then it landed in a street, before Praxis jumped up and landed in the cockpit, which was part of the fan.
"Activating Mega Drill!" he said, putting the control stick into the panel.
The blades and fan began to spin around, before he drove the Mega Drill down the street.
"Robot advance." he said, hitting the pedal.
In the Delta Base, the alarms blared, as one of the panel screens showed the Mega Drill destroying the city.
"Go, Rangers!" Cruger ordered.
The Rangers all ran off towards a different panel screen, as Kat worked on the center one, while Jack folded his arms.
The screen split into five, Val in the top left, Z in the top right, Syd in the bottom left, Bridge in the bottom right, Sky in the middle.
"SPD Emergency!"
(Morph sequence)
The screen split into five, the Rangers in the same spots. They all pressed their morpher's buttons, shooting out the holograms on their suits, before they all back flipped away and morphed up. They all landed crouched down, before their helmets appeared on them, then they did their fight poses.
"Space Patrol Delta!"
(End morph sequence)
"Opening Zord bay tubes." Kat said, as the wall areas between the panels lifted themselves up, showing a tube slide.
Bridge and Sky both grabbed one and slide down it, followed by Syd, Z, and then Val.
"Whoo!" Z said.
"Aha!" Val laughed.
"Yeah!" Syd whooped, sliding down hers.
"Whoo!" Bridge whooped, sliding down his.
Tubes moved down towards the Delta Runners, which were all parked together in a hanger, before one attached to each one expect Delta Runner 1. Each Delta Runner had their helmet symbols above their visors above the cockpits.
Sky entered his cockpit, followed by Bridge, Z, Syd, and Val, before they put their morphers down in a place for them. Sky's cockpit had a knob with a button on, while the rest had steering wheels, due to the vehicles they were.
"Morphers in ignition mode." Sky said, pressing the button on his.
Seatbelts came up around them all.
"Nice." Z said, grabbing her wheel.
"Let's roll them out." Syd said, pulling a knob back, that was on her left.
"You read my mind, Syd." Val said, grabbing her wheel.
They all powered up their Delta Runners.
"Hit it!" Sky said.
Delta Runner 2 began to race off down a tunnel, followed by Delta Runners 3, 4, 5 and 6, as their sirens wailed.
The left side of the Delta Base opened up, showing a hanger door, then Delta Runner 2 came out of it, spread its gyro wings and flew off, as the others came out and raced off.
(Delta Base)
Cruger and Jack both stood by a panel screen, which showed digital maps of the city.
"He's heading for the Northern district." Cruger explained. "You've got to stop him."
"Yes, sir." the Rangers said.
(The city)
The Delta Runners all kept racing towards the Mega Drill's scene, before they separated and pulled over.
"We're there now." Syd said, hitting her break.
She pressed a button - which was among three with lights, green, yellow and red - making the yellow light flash. The top of her Delta Runner rose up and turned around, showing it was an electronic sign, which showed the 'Police' badge.
"SPD, I order you to halt!" Syd yelled into a loudspeaker inside her cockpit.
The sign showed a red circle with a red horizontal line, before it gagged like teeth, with eyes over it.
The Mega Drill didn't stop moving, making Syd move her Zord back, and then turned it right and away from it.
"Okay, we'll do this the hard way." she said, banging her wheel.
Delta Runner 3 turned around slightly, before it raced forward.
"I'll get him!" Bridge said, holding his right hand like a pistol.
He pressed a button, then part of the back of his Zord extended out, showing the Delta Blaster, then it fired crime scene tape from its yellow cannon. It went towards the Mega Drill, but its blades knocked the tape away.
"Don't make me laugh?" Praxis scoffed.
In the Delta Base, Jack and Cruger were watching the battle on the panel screen.
"Ah. They're getting schooled." Jack said.
"With no one to lead them, they're at a statically disadvantage." Cruger said.
"But I was their leader." Jack argued.
"A true leader earns respect my example." Cruger said sternly, turning to him, as Kat turned to them. "Did you set that example?"
"No. No, I was too busy taking advantage of my position." Jack admitted, sighing, seeing what the others - expect Sky - meant.
In the city, Delta Runner 4 barged through some rubble the Mega Drill had created as it raced forward.
"You are going down." Z said.
"Try it?" Praxis sneered.
Delta Runner 4 tried to ram the Mega Drill, but got stuck on its left dozer.
"Whoa! Uh, uh, uh!" Z yelped, before it began to roll around on its side. "OHH!"
"I'm going in." Sky said.
He pressed his knob's button, firing lasers from Delta Runner 2's wings - which rotated up - like Gatling blasters, but they all didn't even scratch the Mega Drill, making small sparks come from it, making Praxis laugh.
"It's my turn!" Val said, pressing a button.
The back of the top of her Zord opened up, then a satellite dish rose up from it, which then shot a laser beam at the Mega Drill, but it bounced off it.
"No way?" Val exclaimed, touching the sides of her helmet.
In the Delta Base, Jack stared at Cruger, who was looking at the panel screen.
"No offence, sir, but I don't belong here with you." Jack said.
"Where is it that you belong, Cadet?" Cruger asked.
Kat turned to them and smiled.
"With my team, sir." Jack answered. "I'm their leader. I should be leading them."
"Well, you can't very well lead them from in here." Cruger said.
"No, sir, I can't." Jack agreed. "Thank you, sir."
He turned and ran off, before Cruger turned around.
"Cadet Landors." he said, getting Jack to stop and turn around. "You might be needing this."
He tossed Jack his morpher, who caught it.
"SPD Emergency!"
(Morph sequence)
Jack pressed his morpher's button, shooting out the hologram of his suit, before back flipped away as he morphed up. He landed crouched down, then his helmet appeared on him, then he did his fight pose.
"SPD Red Ranger!"
(End morph sequence)
He soon slide down a bay-tube.
"Wahoo!" he whooped.
The tube went down to Delta Runner 1, which he slid down, before landing in his cockpit, which was the same as the others - expect Sky's.
"Now, let's see how much juice this thing's got." he said, putting his morpher in its place, pressing the button.
He hit the pedal, starting up the engine.
"Nice." he said, looking at the gages.
He pulled a knob back, then the wheels on his Zord off began to skid.
"Time to punch it!" he said.
Delta Runner 1 raced down the tunnel.
(Command Room)
"Delta Runner 1 is online." Kat reported.
(Zord bay)
Delta Runner 1 raced down the tunnel.
"Hold on, guys." Jack said.
In the city, the other Delta Runners all moved back away from the Mega Drill.
"It's not working!" Bridge said. "We don't have a plan."
Delta Runner 1 came skidding around a building and raced towards the scene.
"I do." he said.
He pressed two buttons, then parts of the back of his Zord rose up and extended claws.
"What is he doing?" Syd questioned, pointing forward.
"Leading." Jack answered.
Delta Runners 4 - whose beams were raised up slightly - and 5 both came along either side of Delta Runner 1, before the claws grabbed them both.
"Whoa!" Syd yelped, wobbling.
Delta Runner 1 raced off while dragging the other two, which were backwards.
"Go, Jack!" Z said.
"What are they up too?" Praxis wondered.
The Mega Drill fired lasers at the three Delta Runners, hitting them all slightly.
"Let's get in there, Sky." Bridge said, before pressing a button.
His Zord's back holder extended up, then the Delta Blaster lifted up and fired its laser blaster.
"I'm all over it." Sky said, pressing his knob.
His Zord's Gatling blasters fired, hitting the Mega Drill.
"Hey, leave some for me, guys?" Val asked, pressing a button.
Her Zord's satellite dish rose up from its back and fired its laser, hitting the Mega Drill.
(Delta Base)
"They need more power." Kat realized.
"Rangers, you must work as a team." Cruger instructed, punching his fist. "Combine the Delta Runners to form the Delta Squad Megazord."
(The city)
"Ready, team?" Jack asked.
The screen split into six, from left to right, Sky, Z, Jack, Val, Syd and Bridge."
"Yes, sir." all but Jack said.
Delta Runner 1 lifted itself up slightly by lifting up its front wheels, pulling Delta Runners 4 and 5 onto their back ends. They both turned to it, as it began to pull them towards its back tires.
"Are you sure this'll work?" Syd asked, before he Zord attached to Jack's.
"Knowing Jack, he'll make it work." Z said.
Her Zord attached to Jack's.
"Now it's my turn." Val grinned.
Delta Runner 6 raced off quickly, before it jumped over a building and split in half, before the front attached itself on top of Delta Runner 4, while the back went on top of Delta Runner 5.
Delta Runner 3 turned left along the street, as Delta Runner 2 turned right above it.
"Let's show 'em how it's done." Sky said.
Delta Runner 2 - now on the ground with its front wheel and right wing retracted in - lifted its body up so its cockpit was on the ground, while Delta Runner 3 lifted its back up, leaving the front of it alone.
"Ready, Jack?" Bridge asked.
"Oh, yeah." Jack said.
He pressed a button, making his Zord's wheels rotate out, as hands extended out of Delta Runners 4 and 5.
"Here goes." Jack said.
His Zord lifted itself up, then down onto Delta Runner's 2 and 3, before its back rotated down, showing the head. The Delta Blaster shot out of Delta Runner 3, which it caught in its right hand, then every loose bit retracted inside, forming the Delta Squad Megazord, which aimed the Delta Blaster as the sirens around its body wailed.
The screen split into six, the Rangers in the same spots.
"Delta Squad Megazord!" they shouted.
(Delta Base)
"Well done, Rangers." Cruger said.
The Delta Squad Megazord fired a blast into the air.
Kat smiled.
(The city)
The Mega Drill moved towards the Delta Squad Megazord.
"Come on?" Jack dared.
Praxis growled a pressed a button on his control, causing the Mega Drill to fire lasers.
"Hang on?" Sky said, moving his knob to his right.
The Delta Squad Megazord jumped and dived to its right, making it dodge a blast, then it fired the Delta Blaster three times, hitting the Mega Drill, before it twirled slightly and landed on its feet. The Mega Drill fired more lasers at it as it got up.
"Whoa!" Syd yelped, turning to wheel to her left.
The Delta Squad Megazord rolled along the ground and fired the Delta Blaster a few times, hitting the Mega Drill as it ducked behind a building.
"AH!" Praxis moaned. "Hey, where'd they go?"
The Mega Drill moved past a building, as the Delta Squad Megazord peeked out from behind it. It moved to the other side, then got up behind the Mega Drill, holding a pair of cuffs that was made up from the edges of Delta Runner 2's gyro wings.
"Huh? You won't get me!" Praxis snarled, pressing a button.
Junk and rubble shot out of the Mega Drill's mufflers, hitting the Delta Squad Megazord and knocking it down, making it lose the Delta Blaster, which got stuck on the Mega Drill.
"Okay, let's try the sword." Bridge said, pressing a button.
The holder on his Zord opened up, showing a blade, which then combined with the beams on Delta Runner 4, making the Delta Sword, which the Delta Squad Megazord picked up.
"Go for it." Z said.
The Delta Squad Megazord got up, then it jumped up and twirled around, slicing off the Mega Drill's blades as it dived over it. It grabbed the Delta Blaster as he turned around, before landing on the ground.
"Nice move." Val remarked.
"AHH!" Praxis moaned, as sparks came out all over his cockpit.
"I'm outta here." he said.
He pressed three buttons on his panel, one twice, then bailed out and dived towards the ground.
The screen split into six, the Rangers in the same spots.
"Let's get him." Jack said.
"Right." the others said, saluting.
The sirens wailed all over the Delta Squad Megazord, which aimed its Delta Blaster.
The screen split into six, the Rangers numbers in their spots, before they began appearing in their places, one by one.
"6!"
"5!"
"4!"
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
"Fire!" they all shouted, holding their right hands like pistols.
The Delta Squad Megazord fired its Delta Blaster several times, hitting the Mega Drill until it was destroyed, blowing up as it turned around.
The screen split into six, the Rangers in the same spots.
"Shut down." they all said, holding their right thumbs down.
The Delta Squad Megazord spun its Delta Blaster around, before putting it in its holder, which closed up, then it held its left thumb up.
On the ground, Praxis pulled himself up near an industrial site.
"I got away." he grunted. "Huh?"
Jack somersaulted forward as the Rangers dived towards him.
"Hyah!" he yelled.
"Yah!" Sky yelled.
"Yah!" Bridge yelled, somersaulting as well.
"Hi-yah!" Z said.
"Yeah!" Syd said.
"Yah!" Val said.
They all landed crouched down together, before they got up and turned around to Praxis. (Val was between Jack and Syd)
"Think again?" Jack said.
"Who's gonna stop me?" Praxis snarled.
"1, SPD Red Ranger!" Jack shouted, holding up a finger, before pointing his right hand like a pistol.
"2, SPD Blue Ranger!" Sky shouted, holding up two fingers, before pointing his right hand like a pistol to his right.
"3, SPD Green Ranger!" Bridge shouted, holding up three fingers, before pointing his left hand like a pistol to his left.
"4, SPD Yellow Ranger!" Z shouted, holding up all four fingers on her right hand, before pointing her right hand like a pistol to her right slightly.
"5, SPD Pink Ranger!" Syd shouted, holding up all four fingers and her thumb on her right hand, before pointing her left hand like a pistol to her left slightly.
"6, SPD Purple Ranger!" Val shouted, holding up all four fingers and her thumb on her right hand, as well as one from her left near her thumb, before pointing her right hand like a pistol in front of her.
"Rangers!" Jack said, crossing his forearms over, his hands like pistols, before pointing them out. "Ready?"
He held his right arm up, then did his fight pose, followed by Sky, Bridge, Z, Syd and Val.
"Space Patrol Delta!" they all shouted, as they all crossed their forearms over, holding both hands like pistols.
The screen split into six, Sky in the top left, Jack in the top middle, Syd in the top right, Z in the bottom left, Val in the bottom middle, Bridge in the bottom right. The sirens on their helmets wailed, before they stood up and held up their morphers.
"Defenders of Earth." Jack said.
They opened their morphers, showing their badges, as an explosion went off behind them all.
"You don't scare me." Praxis snarled, as they put their morphers back.
"Let me do this, guys?" Jack asked, pointing at Praxis as he walked forward. "I owe you. Yah!"
He charged at Praxis as the others stared at him, before he took out his blasters.
"Delta Blasters!" he shouted.
"Let's give him a hand." Syd said, taking her blade out.
She began charging after Jack.
"Yeah." Bridge said, who held his blade, before following her.
"You read my mind." Val said, holding her blade, before she followed.
"I think he's learned his lesson." Z said, holding her blade, pointing at Jack before she followed.
"I hope so." Sky said, pointing at him.
He held his knuckle as he followed.
Praxis brought out a high-tech diamond like blaster and fired it, creating small explosions behind them all.
"Ah!" he growled.
Jack jumped up and dived to his right.
"Yah!" he yelled, firing his blasters, which hit Praxis.
"Ah!" he moaned.
Sky jumped up and twirled around, hitting Praxis' chest with his knuckle, knocking him back slightly.
"My turn." Bridge said.
He jumped up and dived down, twirling around and slashing Praxis' chest with his blade.
"AH!" he moaned.
"Hyah!" the girls yelled, jumping up.
They all somersaulted forward, then Syd slashed him down the chest, then along it while running past him, then Z slashed him across the chest, then Val slashed him upwards across the chest, knocking him back.
"Huh?" he muttered.
Jack jumped up and twirled around, holding his leg out.
"Hyah!" he yelled, kicking Praxis' chest.
"AHH!" Praxis moaned, flying away, before he hit the ground on his side.
Jack landed on the ground as the others gathered around him.
"Alright, listen up?" Jack said, putting his blasters away, before he stepped forward. "If Grumm wants this planet, he's gonna have to go through us."
He took out his morpher, as Praxis got up moaning.
"SPD Morpher, Judgement mode!" he shouted, holding it up in 'Judgement' mode.
He pressed the button, opening it up, starting the red X blue 0 seqeunce.
"Huh?" Praxis muttered.
A clock came around him, which ticked as the X and 0 flashed on either side of it, before the X flashed on Jack's morpher.
"Guilty!" Jack said.
"Ready!" the others shouted, saluting.
Jack took out his blasters and combined them.
"Ready!" he said, before he aimed it.
"Ah!" Praxis gasped.
"Fire!" Jack shouted.
He fired a blast from it, which hit Praxis, making sparks come out all over himself.
"AHH!" he moaned.
Lighting came out of his body as he fell onto the ground, before an explosion went off around him, which sent him flying away.
"AHHH!" he yelled.
He hit the ground on his back, but quickly got up as the Rangers all approached him.
"We're taking you in." Jack said, holding up his morpher. "Containment mode!"
He fired a beam from the button at Praxis, which hit him and trapped him into a Containment Card.
"You'll be sorry for this!" he roared, banging on it.
Later, the Rangers - expect Jack - were in the Command Room of the Delta Base, staring at Cruger, who stood behind his desk, as they were discussing Jack's performance. (Val was between Z and Syd)
"So, you're all sure you trust Cadet Landors to lead your team?" Cruger asked.
Sky lowered his head, as he still wasn't sure or happy with this, as Z walked forward.
"I admit, his ego got a little outta control, but deep down, Jack's a good guy." Z said.
"Plus, we couldn't have made the Megazord without him." Syd added, joining her.
"That's true, or we'd be walking around without a head." Bridge reasoned, joining them.
"He came through in the end, and everyone deserves a second chance." Val said, joining them. "I'm willing to give it to him."
Sky looked down, seeing he was outvoted.
"And what about you?" Cruger asked, making Sky look up.
The next morning, at sunrise, Jack climbed up a wooden ladder, which was part of the Mud Swamp course. He was covered in mud, as he was trying to make up for his earlier behavior. He panted and put his hands on his legs once at the top, then lifted his head up and shook some mud off his arms.
Nearby, Sky was watching as he folded his arms, before he mouthed something, as he kept watching his leader's performance.
