A/N: This is my first original chapter for SPD.
I'm sorry for the delay, but my laptop's sound system went haywire, and I'm having to get it fixed. I'm still waiting to get it back, so I've borrowed a friend's for now, but its completely different from mine, so my updates are gonna be slower than usual until I hopefully get mine back. So please be patient everyone?
Please read and review?
Shoutouts:
Rangerfan: I've already said; purple, as I can only think of fire and lighting for orange. I've more options with purple over orange for elemental power Rangers; Earth, nature, shadow, lighting, water, wind and thunder for example.
Guest 1: There's never been one so far, but if there was, I'd make that one of my few exceptions, as not all my Rangers will be those two colors.
Intro:
A police car drives around.
S.P.D Emergency!
The car skids to a stop, as its sirens wail.
The six Rangers then run along a street together.
Jack then jumps his bike up from an explosion. Syd hits a Krybot while jumping up with Deltamax Striker blade. Sky lifts his bike's front wheel up. Val skids her bike to a stop in front of a Blue Head. Bridge lifts up from his bike and kicks two Krybots away, while holding onto the handles. Z spins around as a Orange Head tries to hit her. They all then charge at an alien as an explosion goes off behind them, before their numbers are counted down. The Delta Squad Megazord does the Delta Strike. The sirens on the helmets beep, before Jack fires the Canine Cannon, as Sky and Bridge point their hands forward, Z and Syd touch Jack's shoulders, and Val holds the top.

In the Delta Base, the Rangers all entered the Command Room, then formed a line in front of Cruger, who sat behind his desk.
"You sent for us, sir?" Jack asked.
"Yes." Cruger said. "We've been getting reports of stolen items all over the city."
"But there's more, isn't there, sir?" Val inquired.
"Yes. The people all seem to be dressed up normally, and have no recollection of committing the crime." Cruger explained.
"That's weird?" Sky questioned. "Surely they must know what they're doing, sir?"
"I know, which is why I suspect there's more here than we know." Cruger explained.
"Is there anything we do know, sir?" Syd asked.
"Yes. All the stolen goods are taken away to the same place, but we don't know where." Cruger explained. "We only know because witnesses have kept hearing them say 'To the hideout' afterwards."
"So you want us to find out what's up?" Jack asked.
"Of course. I want you all to investigate the scenes and find that hideout." Cruger explained. "As we don't know where, I recommend you all split up."
"Yes, sir." the Rangers said.
They all saluted, before they turned around and ran out of the room.
On Grumm's ship, Grumm was on his ship with Broodwing and a brown cockroach alien called Hardshell, who had antennas on his forehead, with red armor that covered his body, his wings sticking out of the back.
"Well, Hardshell, how goes the business?" Broodwing asked.
"Yes?" Grumm inquired. "It is fun seeing people steal for me, when they have no idea."
"It goes well, Emperor." Hardshell assured. "With my control, those people have no idea what they're doing until I free them to let the police take them in."
"Good." Grumm said. "I'd love to see the look on their confused faces when they're carted off to jail."
"As would I." Broodwing admitted. "You really know how to handle your work."
"Why thank you." Hardshell said. "But, I could do with some help, in case the Rangers get onto me. It won't be long before they find out as my forcefield might be down and allow them to detect me."
"I'm sure Broodwing can supply you with that." Grumm promised.
"Oh, I can, for the right price that is." Broodwing smirked.
Hardshell chuckled and held up a bunch of money notes.
"Is this enough?" he asked.
"Ah, yes." Broodwing said, taking the money from him. "You'll have your robot and soldiers, Hardshell."
He began to count the money as Hardshell laughed.
In the city, the Rangers were all searching around for any sign of anyone stealing something.
Jack ran down a street, looking around, but only saw Humans and two fish aliens around, doing nothing.
(Elsewhere)
Syd and Z both looked around the plaza, both with their morphers open up 'phone' mode, but found nothing but people either walking or sitting down. They both turned and approached each other
"You got anything?" Syd asked.
"No." Z answered. "I take it you haven't either?"
"No." Syd sighed. "Everyone's just acting normal."
(Elsewhere)
Bridge walked down a street, seeing people walking by, but no one stealing. He looked curious, as he took off his right gloved and waved it, reading people's auras, but they came up bright colors.
"They're clean." he muttered, putting his glove back on.
(Elsewhere)
Sky pulled his bike over in a street, then raised his helmet's visor up and looked around, but saw no one stealing. He got off his bike to check the people behind him, but saw they were like the rest, just walking around or talking.
"Better check the next area." he said, getting back onto his bike.
He revved it up and lowered his visor, before he raced it off.
(Elsewhere)
Val raced her bike near a warehouse at the docks, before she pulled it over. She lifted her visor up as she got up, but saw no sign of anyone at all.
"Everyone must be on break." she deduced. "Guess I better check elsewhere."
She got onto her bike, revved it up, then turned it 180 degrees, before she raced it off.
As she did however, two workmen carrying a box between them approached the warehouse, before they stopped in front of it. An invisible forcefield around it powered down, showing Hardshell waiting, before they both approached him with the box.
"Excellent." he said. "Excellent. You have done well, my slaves. Now, get out there and steal me more stuff!"
"Yes, master." the workmen said.
They both turned around and walked off, as Hardshell laughed.
Later, back in the base, the Rangers were all in the Command Room with Cruger, as Kat worked on one of the right panels.
"Sir, we've searched all over, and we saw nothing out of the ordinary." Jack reported.
"I can see that. I've had Kat start working on the base's scanner, to see if you've missed something." Cruger explained. "There is a chance something weird happened after you left the areas you searched."
"Commander, I've got something." Kat said.
Everyone turned and approached her, as the panel screen showed the warehouse Val was at, as a man walked into it, seeing several boxes of stolen goods.
"That man has taken some stolen money to warehouse a the docks." Kat explained.
"Wait, I already checked that area." Val recalled. "I didn't see anything."
Everyone turned to her.
"You sure you didn't find anything, Cadet Lopez?" Cruger asked.
"No, sir." Val assured. "I don't get it."
"Maybe the hideout is protected by a forcefield, which is why I've only just picked it up." Kat deduced. "It must've been up when you were there."
"Or...perhaps Val didn't report it." Jack said.
Everyone turned to him.
"I'm just saying." he said. "She might've seen it and decided not to tell.
"I didn't see it!" Val argued. "I swear it."
"Enough! There is no time to argue amongst yourselves." Cruger said sternly, getting everyone's attention. "Get over there and investigate."
"Yes, sir." the Rangers said, saluting.
They all turned and ran out of the room, as Cruger and Kat turned to each other.
"What do you think?" Cruger asked.
"I think Val must've been there when a shield was up." Kat said. "They must've only lowered it after she left."
"Meaning whoever's in charge of this is a smart one." Cruger deduced.
At the warehouse, Hardshell was going through the stolen goods he had his slaves steal, which consisted of jewelry, money and other valuables.
"This is the bomb." he joked. "Emperor Grumm will be pleased with all that he can make out of this."
He laughed when an alarm went off, making him press a button on the desk.
"Now what?" he exclaimed. "More shouldn't be arriving for a while?"
A hologram of outside came up, showing the Rangers racing towards the area in the vehicles, all morphed.
"What? But how?" he questioned, getting up. "My cloaking device didn't work when the Purple Ranger was here last time?"
He began to walk off while thinking.
"Oh, their base's scanners must've picked us up when I lowered it to let my last slave return." he deduced, as he stopped. "Well, I better give the Rangers a warm welcome for when they arrive."
He held up a Krybot sphere and a Blue-Head device.
"And with these, I have the prefect reception waiting for them." he laughed.
Outside, the Rangers all arrived on the scene on their vehicles, before they pulled over and got out/off of them.
"Well, there it is." Z said, pointing forward.
They all stared at the warehouse entrance, seeing some of the stolen goods.
"But I... I don't get it?" Val questioned. "I didn't see anything or anyone around here?"
"You must've missed them like the Commander said." Sky deduced.
"Or you lied to us." Jack argued.
"Jack, now's not the time!" Z said. "You can argue about this later!"
"Fine." Jack said. "Let's go!"
They all ran towards the warehouse, when an explosion went off in front of them.
"AHHH!" they moaned.
They all hit the ground on their backs - expect Val and Bridge, who landed on their chests.
"OH!" they moaned.
"What in the...?"
"¿Qué en el...? Val groaned, looking up.
The others did the same, before they all saw Hardshell coming towards them all, holding a laser blaster.
"Rangers, I was wondering how long it'd take for you to find me." he said.
The Rangers all pulled themselves up and stared at him.
"So, you're the one behind all this?" Jack assumed.
"Correct, Red Ranger, and the name's Hardshell." Hardshell said. "Remember it, 'cause it's the last thing you'll hear."
"We'll see about that." Syd said, pointing at him. "Your outnumbered."
"Oh, am I?" Hardshell smirked, holding up the Krybot sphere and Blue-Head device.
He tossed the sphere up, which shattered, then dozens of Krybots landed on the ground, while the Blue-Head device hit the ground, and turned into a Blue-Head.
"So, it's Grumm you're working for?" Val inquired. "What does he want with all that stuff you've stolen?"
"You're not finding out, Ranger!" Hardshell snarled. "Destroy them!"
The Krybots and Blue-Head all charged at the Rangers, who took out their weapons - Jack both his blasters, Sky and the girls their blades, Bridge his knuckle.
"Let's do it, guys!" Jack said.
They all began to charge at the Krybots and Blue-Head.
Val jumped up slightly and kicked her feet on the Blue-Head's shoulder, boosting her up, before she dived towards Hardshell, before she dived and kicked him away.
"AH!" he yelled, hitting the ground.
He rolled over along it, as Val landed near him, then she charged at him.
Sky jumped and dived towards a Krybot, kicking it with both feet, before he back flipped away and landed on his feet. He blocked another's bladed arm with his blade, before he elbowed its chest, then he spun around and slashed it and a third's chest, knocking them both down.
Bridge spun around and tackled one as it came at him, tripping it up onto its chest, before he got up and hit another's chest with his knuckle, knocking it back. He then jumped and twirled around sideways in the air, before he split kicked another two, knocking them both down, as he landed on his feet.
Syd dodged as one tried to whack her, before she raised her blade up and slashed another's chest, then she stabbed a third's chest with it like a fencer. She then turned around and kicked a fourth away as it came at her, before she slashed a fifth's chest as it came at her, knocking it down.
Z blocked ones bladed arm with her blade, before she punched its chest, knocking it back against a crate, then she turned and slashed another's belly as it came at her. She jumped slightly and spun around, kicking a third away from her, before she slashed a fourth down the chest, then kicked it away, knocking it down.
Jack twirled his right blaster around, before he aimed and fired it at two, hitting them both in the chest, then he turned and fired his left at another, hitting it and knocking it down. He then spun around and crouched down, before firing them both, hitting another three, knocking them down. He then turned and fired both his blasters at the Blue-Head, hitting it in the chest as it charged forward, knocking it down.
Val tried to slash Hardshell with her blade, but he blocked it with his left arm, then he aimed his blaster at her.
"¡¿Qué?!" she gasped.
She pulled away and then back flipped as he fired, barely missing the blast, before she landed on her feet.
"You jerk!" Val scowled. "That's not fair!"
"Oh, it is to me!" Hardshell smirked.
"Then let's try it again, bug-face!" Val scowled.
She jumped up and dived towards him, slashing him down the chest with her blade, knocking him back slightly. She then tried to punch him with her right fist, but missed as he dodged, then he got behind him and grabbed her from behind.
"Ah!" she groaned.
"You really are stupid if you think you can beat me." he smirked.
"Oh, shut up!" Val scowled.
She elbowed his chest, knocking him back slightly, before she grabbed his arm and threw him over herself, who hit the ground on his back.
"Oh! Now that's more like it." he smirked.
He got up and turned around, as Val charged at him, before he got up and kicked her belly, knocking her back slightly.
"Oh!" she moaned.
She clutched her belly while looking up, before Hardshell extended a blade from his right arm, which he then used to slash her across the chest.
"AHH!" Val yelled, as she turned around and flew away slightly.
She hit the ground and rolled over, as the others ran towards her.
"Val, you okay?" Z asked, helping her up.
"Sí." Val said.
"Not for long, she's not!" Hardshell snarled.
The Rangers all turned to him, as he fired his blaster at them all, which created an explosion behind them all, knocking them all up.
"AHHH!" they moaned.
They all flipped forward and hit the ground hard, Val and Sky on their backs, the others their chests.
"OH!" they moaned.
"You Rangers will never find out what I plan to do." Hardshell sneered. "So if I were you, I'd give up this investigation."
"Never!" Jack swore, trying to get up, along with the others.
"Oh, well, we'll see." Hardshell sneered. "Ta, ta."
He threw a small ball device onto the ground, creating a smokescreen between him and the Rangers.
"Ah!" they yelped, shielding their visors with their arms.
Once the smoke cleared, they all lowered their arms, all but Val got up and looked around, but saw no sign of Hardshell.
"Where'd he go?" Syd questioned, as they ran forward slightly. "He was right here."
"He just...vanished?" Z questioned, confused.
"Great! We lost him!" Sky groaned.
Bridge turned and ran over to Val.
"Val, you alright?" he asked.
"I... I think so." Val said.
She tried to get up, but nearly collapsed, making Bridge grab her, as she got hit hard.
The others turned to the pair, as they put their weapons away.
"Let's get outta here." Jack said. "We'll come back and search the warehouse later."
"Right." the others agreed.
"Val, can you ride your bike?" Sky asked.
"I'll manage." Val assured.
They all ran off towards their vehicles, then they got onto or in them, then raced them off away from the scene. As they did, Hardshell peeked out from behind a wall and stared at them.
"Next time, you Rangers won't be so lucky." he swore.
Later, after the Rangers had returned to the Delta Base, they all stood in the Command Room facing Cruger, as Kat stood nearby.
"We took a pounding out there, sir." Jack said. "We had to retreat."
"You did the right thing, Landors." Cruger said. "At least we know where all the stolen stuff is, so we can get it later."
"We'd have found it sooner though sir, if Val had reported it in the first place!" Jack scowled, turning to her.
"I already told you all, I didn't see anything!" Val argued, moving away slightly.
Jack turned and approached her, as the others turned to her.
"But they were there when we arrived." Syd argued. "How could you have missed it?"
"I... I don't know." Val swore. "I didn't see anything during the fight."
"Sounds like a lie to me!" Jack said.
"Enough!" Cruger barked.
Everyone turned to him.
"We cannot fight amongst ourselves." he said. "I'm sure there was a reason Val didn't see anything when she checked out the area. As soon as we know more and you've rested a little, I'll send you back out there. And Landors, until you can back your remarks with proof, I'll take Cadet Lopez's word. Dismissed."
The Rangers all saluted, before they all turned and walked out of the room, Val trailing behind the others.
"Why wasn't I able to see Hardshell's hideout when I was there?" she wondered.
"Val." came a voice.
Val turned around and saw Kat approaching her.
"You okay?" Kat asked. "I saw from the footage that you got hit hard."
"I'm fine, Kat." Val assured. "I've just got a lot on my mind."
"Like how you didn't see the hideout when you searched alone?" Kat inquired.
"Yes." Val nodded.
"Well, I think you lie down and rest while thinking." Kat suggested. "It's not good for you."
She walked off past Val, who turned to her.
"Like that's gonna happen." Val muttered. "I'm going back out there to investigate."
She turned and walked off in the other direction.
Meanwhile, the other Rangers all walked into the Common Room, which was empty, before they turned to each other.
"You guys don't think Val might've lied to us or something about the hideout?" Jack suggested.
"I doubt it." Sky insisted. "While she and I don't get along much, I know for a fact she'd never betray us. She's worked so hard to get here."
"Well, why didn't she see Hardshell's hideout?" Z wondered.
"There must've been a reason." Sky said. "Next time we go to the warehouse, we'll investigate."
"Let's hope Val gets some rest until then." Syd said. "I mean, she was hit pretty hard back there."
"Yeah. She looked like she'd been hit by a truck. Or did it look like a train?" Bridge said, putting his hand to his chin. "No, it looked like-"
"Bridge, we don't wanna know." Jack said. "But she was hit hard. I hope for her sake though she wasn't lying to us."
Later, Val had returned to warehouse, pulling her bike over near a truck, before she got off it. She ran towards a wall nearby, then turned to face the warehouse, with her back against it, seeing it was like when she first arrived. She turned on his camouflage, becoming invisible, as she kept her eyes on it.
"Now, let's find out how Hardshell's keeping his hideout hidden." she muttered.
Two men carrying a box together moved towards the warehouse entrance, before they stopped in front of it. The invisible forcefield around it lowered, then both men walked inside, as another walked out of it, before the forcefield came back on.
"A cloaking device?" Val muttered. "So that's why I didn't seem them. It must've been turned off when Kat spotted it on the scanner, and when we came back last time."
Once the man was out of sight, Val turned off her camouflage and ran towards her bike, when several Krybots showed up all around her.
"Oh, genial." she muttered.
One moved and tried to kick her, but she blocked it with her hands, before she spun around and kicked another away from her, knocking it into two more, which caught it. She ducked and ran past a fifth as it tried to punch her, then she jumped past a sixth as it nearly tackled her, before she rolled along the ground and got up.
"I better get outta here." she muttered.
She got up and ran off, bringing her morpher out as she did.
"SPD Emergency!"
She somersaulted forward and morphed up, before she landed on her bike, then began to race it off. She turned it right down the road past a crate, when a Blue-Head got in front of her, aiming its bladed laser at her.
"I don't think so." he said.
Val gasped and skidded her bike to a halt in front of it, before the Krybots came up behind her, making her turn, surrounding her.
"Another one?" she exclaimed.
She turned slightly and saw several Krybots aiming their bladed lasers at her, before her rev her bike up before she raced it off to her left. The Krybots all fired their lasers at her, which hit the ground near her, some hitting the back of her bike.
"AHH!" she yelled.
She fell off her bike as it fell over and skidded away on its side, before it crashed into a crate, damaging it.
"Oh!" she moaned, rolling over.
She stopped on her chest near a few barrels, as the Blue-Head and some of the Krybots came towards her. Hardshell then came over as she pulled herself up, resting on the barrels, before she turned to them all.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Hardshell smirked. "Didn't you get enough last time, Ranger?"
He grabbed Val and pulled her towards him by the arm, holding her close to him.
"Or did you come back alone just to spy on me, since you found nothing last time you searched here alone?" he smirked.
"How'd you guess?" Val scoffed.
"Just got lucky." Hardshell smirked. "I knew you were coming though as I have detectors around the place."
"You won't get away with this, Hardshell!" Val scowled.
"Oh, but I already have." Hardshell smirked.
He pushed her away, then kicked her chest, sending her flying away.
"AHH!" she yelled.
She hit the ground hard and rolled over, causing her to de-morph while falling unconscious.
"Excellent. Take her inside!" Hardshell commanded. "I might have use for her."
A little later, inside the warehouse, Val woke up being held by two Krybots, with the Blue-Head behind her, as Hardshell stared at her.
"Well, look who's decided to wake up." he said.
"What do you want?" Val demanded.
"Oh, simple, I want your help." Hardshell smirked.
"Fat chance, bug-face!" Val spat.
"Oh, my, what manners." Hardshell smirked. "You were just like some of my other slaves before I put them under my control."
He touched his antennas proudly as Val looked at him.
"Mind control? So that's why all these people are stealing for you?" Val inquired.
"Bingo." Hardshell smirked. "And as long as my antennas are around, they will always be my slaves."
Val gritted her teeth as she tried to get free, before the Blue-Head kicked the back of her right leg.
"AH!" she moaned, falling onto her left knee.
Hardshell approached her slowly as she looked up at him.
"And now you're gonna help me destroy your friends, Purple Ranger." he smirked.
"I'd never do that!" Val snapped.
"Oh, you'll help us, one way or the other." Hardshell smirked.
The Krybots both turned Val around, then he and fired a beam from his right hand, which hit the back of Val's neck.
"AH!" she yelped, leaning forward.
She closed her eyes, but then opened them again, showing she was in a trance.
"I will do as you command, master." she promised.
"Good girl." Hardshell smirked.
He sniggered as he turned around, then he held up a small device, before a hologram of Grumm popped up from it.
"What have you to report?" Grumm asked.
"Emperor, the Purple Ranger returned to the warehouse and overheard our plans for using the people." Hardshell explained.
"Did she escape and contact Cruger?" Grumm asked.
"No, my Emperor." Hardshell assured.
"Have you destroyed her then?" Grumm inquired.
"No, but I've put her under my control." Hardshell explained. "I plan to use her to lure the others into a trap, so I can destroy them all at once."
"Excellent, Hardshell." Grumm remarked. "If this works, I'll make sure you can keep up your work for my Empire with bonus pay."
"Thank you, Emperor." Hardshell smirked.
"With the Rangers out of the way, Earth will be defenseless." Grumm declared happily.
He laughed as his hologram vanished, then Hardshell turned and approached Val.
"Now, time to be a good little girl and call your friends." he said.
"Yes, master." Val understood, nodding.
In the Delta Base, Cruger and Kat were in the Command Room as the door opened up.
"And when I checked on her room, Val was gone." Kat explained. "Even Jane hasn't seen her."
The Rangers all entered the room as Cruger put his hand on his chin.
"Hmm?" he muttered. "Weird?"
He turned to the Rangers as they stopped by him.
"Rangers, Cadet Lopez is missing." he explained. "She's not in her room or anywhere on the base."
The five Rangers looked amongst themselves.
"Has she contacted us, sir?" Sky asked.
"No." Cruger sighed. "I-"
A beeping noise got their attention, before Val showed up on the screen, holding her morpher in 'phone' mode.
"Guys, I've found something at the warehouse." she explained. "You better get over here quick. I think Hardshell's planning to move all the stuff he's stolen."
She vanished from the screen, leaving everyone shocked and confused.
"She left the base without orders?" Sky questioned. "She's never done that before expect when on patrol."
"I don't like this." Jack said. "Smells like a trap."
"You think so, Jack?" Z asked. "I mean, there is a chance she's telling the truth."
"I agree." Bridge said. "I mean, Val's never lied to anyone before. She's always spoken her mind, or what other people think."
Syd rolled her eyes. "Whatever the case, she'd never go out unless she had something to prove." she said.
"Rangers, get over there and investigate." Cruger ordered. "I'll deal with Val's disobedience later. Even if she's right, she left without orders."
"Yes, sir!" the Rangers said, saluting.
They all turned and ran off out of the room as the door opened.
"I think Val left to investigate to prove herself." Kat said, as the door began to close. "You saw how she reacted when Jack thought she lied."
"I know." Cruger said. "Anyone would've done the same thing. I just hope Val knew what she was doing."
Later, the other Rangers had arrived at the scene, all morphed, but saw no sign of Val, Hardshell or anyone else.
"Okay, this is weird." Bridge said. "I can't see any sign of Val, Hardshell, any Krybots or people acting strange."
"Something's not right." Sky said.
They all looked around, before Val showed up near them, morphed up.
"Guys, over here!" she called.
They all turned to her and ran over to her.
"Val, where's Hardshell?" Syd asked.
"Inside." Val explained. "I overheard him saying he's planning to move everything to Grumm's ship, so we gotta stop him fast."
"You better be telling the truth." Jack warned, pointing at her. "Let's go, guys."
They all turned and ran towards the warehouse, when Hardshell, the Blue-Head and a dozen Krybots came out of hiding and began firing on them.
"Ambush!" Sky exclaimed, as they stopped. "Move!"
The Rangers all dived away towards cover as the blasts nearly hit them all. Jack got behind a wall, Sky and Z a pile of barrels, Bridge behind a dock crate near them, Syd behind a wall near Jack's, and Val behind a car.
"How'd they know about us?" Z questioned.
"One must've overheard Val." Sky deduced.
Jack turned around from his hiding spot, seeing Val bring out her Deltamax Striker.
"Or she told them!" he argued, bringing out his blasters. "Look!"
The others all turned as he fired both blasters at Val as she moved away, before the blasts hit her and sent her flying away.
"AHH!" she moaned, as sparks came out of her suit.
She went flying over towards Bridge, landing near him, as the Blue-Head stood over her.
"Oh!" she moaned, de-morphing.
"Get up, Ranger, and destroy the others!" the Blue-Head demanded. "Do it now!"
It kicked Val slightly, turning her over onto her chest, but she wouldn't get up.
"Oh, fine! You've served your purpose." it said.
He aimed his bladed laser at her.
"Oh, no you don't!" Bridge said.
The Blue-Head looked up as Bridge dived and kicked it away, before he landed and crouched down near Val.
"I can't believe Val would do this?" he said. "No Ranger in history every became evil under their own accord. Wait, what's this?"
He pulled off the mind control device on her neck, making her moan and lift her head up.
"Oh! What hit me?" she moaned.
Bridge looked at the device as Sky and Z both came up behind him.
"So that's why Val set us up?" Sky questioned.
"Right. She was being mind-controlled." Bridge said. "She couldn't stop herself."
"What?" Jack exclaimed, turning around.
"Mind control?" Syd exclaimed, turning around. "That explains everything, expect how she didn't spot his hideout?"
Z helped Val up, who turned to the others.
"He's using some sort of cloaking device to shield it." Val explained. "Just like Kat said. It was up when I came here the first time."
"Okay..." Jack said, feeling guilty about suspecting her.
He and Syd ran towards the others, all hiding behind the crate to avoid the laser fire, which then stopped.
"Guys, listen, it's his antennas. That's how he's been controlling all these people." Val explained. "He's using them all to steal for himself."
"Then let's put an end to this operation." Jack said. "Can you fight?"
"Oh, you betcha." Val said.
She took out her morpher and held it up.
"SPD Emergency!"
(Morph sequence)
Val pressed her morpher's button, shooting out the hologram of her suit, before back flipped away as she morphed up. She landed crouched down, then her helmet appeared on her, then she did her fight pose.
"SPD Purple!"
(End morph sequence)
Hardshell, the Blue-Head and the Krybots all looked around for the Rangers, but didn't see them.
"Where'd they go?" Hardshell questioned.
"Hey, over here!" Val yelled.
Everyone turned and saw the Rangers standing on top of the crate.
"There you are!." Hardshell smirked. "So, what are you waiting for, Purple Ranger? Destroy them!"
"I'm not under your control anymore, Hardshell!" Val scowled.
"What?" Hardshell gasped.
"Now give it up?" Val advised, pointing at him.
"Fat chance!" Hardshell spat. "Who's taking me in?"
"1, SPD Red!"
"2, SPD Blue!"
"3, SPD Green!"
"4, SPD Yellow!"
"5, SPD Pink!"
"6, SPD Purple!"
"Rangers, ready!" they all said, stomping their left feet, holding their left fists up, with their right hands behind them.
The screen split into six, Sky in the top left, Jack in the top middle, Syd in the top right, Z in the bottom left, Val in the bottom middle, Bridge in the bottom right. The sirens on their helmets wailed, before they stood up and held up their morphers.
"Space Patrol Delta!" they shouted, as the 'Police' badge popped up behind them. "Defenders of Earth!"
"And you're under arrest, Hardshell!" Val declared.
"We'll see about that!" Hardshell spat. "Get them!"
The Blue-Head and the Krybots all charged at the Rangers.
"Let's do it, guys!" Val said, holding her fists up.
"Right!" the others said.
They all jumped up and somersaulted forward off the crate, first Val, then Jack, Sky, Bridge, Z and Syd.
Sky dived and kicked the Blue-Head away, which hit the ground hard on its back, before he landed near it with his knuckle. A few Krybots came around him from all sides, before he turned around and whacked ones chest with his knuckle, knocking it back. He then spun around and kicked another away, before he jumped and somersaulted forward as a third tried to tackle him, before he grabbed a fourth as he dived down, then threw it away as he rolled over. He got up and turned around, as the Blue-Head fired its laser arm, but missed as he jumped up and dived towards it.
"Yah!" he yelled.
He spun around sideways and whacked the Blue-Head with his knuckle, sending it flying away, before it hit the ground.
Z spun around and kicked a Krybot away from her, then she turned and slashed another's chest with her blade, before she blocked a third's blade arm with it. She then raised her blade up and knocked it back slightly, before she spun around and slashed it and another across the chest, knocking them down. She turned around to two more, which fired their bladed lasers at her, before she jumped up and dived towards them, split kicking them both, knocking them down.
Bridge jumped up and dived down, slashing ones chest with his blade as he landed, knocking it down, then he turned and kicked another's chest, knocking it back. He spun around and tackled a third as it came up behind him, tripping it onto its chest, then he got up and kicked a fourth's chest, knocking it back. He turned and ran up a wall, before he back flipped away from it, then he landed between four more.
"Hyah!" he yelled, leaning back as one tried to punch him.
He then spun around and slashed all four of them with his blade, knocking them all down.
Syd dived past one as it tried to whack her with its bladed arm, before she rolled forward and fired her blaster, hitting another two as they came at her. She got up and turned around and fired again, hitting a fourth's chest, then she turned to several more.
"Come and get me?" she dared, holding her left hand up, motioning with her fingers.
Six Krybots all charged at her, before she aimed and fired her blaster, hitting three in the chest, knocking them down, but the other three kept charging. They fired their bladed lasers at her, but missed as she jumped up as they created an explosion near her, before she dived down and fired her blaster, hitting them all, knocking them down, as she landed crouched down.
"Bye-bye." she smirked.
Jack spun around while holding his blasters, before he turned and held one out on either side of him.
"Delta Blasters!" he shouted, firing them.
The blasts hit two of them as they came towards him, knocking them down, then he spun around and crossed his forearms over, firing again, hitting another two. He turned as a fifth came towards him, before he kicked its chest hard, sending it flying into another two, knocking them all down.
Val ducked and ran past one as it tried to whack her with its bladed arm, before she kicked another away, then stabbed a third's chest with her blade. She then spun around and slashed a fourth's chest, before she spotted Hardshell making a run for it.
"Oh, no you don't!" she said.
She jumped and dived towards Hardshell, twirling around as she did, before she landed in front of him.
"You!" he gasped.
"You're not gonna get away with this!" Val swore, pointing at him.
"Oh, we'll see about that!" Hardshell spat.
He brought out his blade from his arm and charged at Val, who blocked it with her own blade, locking them together, before Val lifted hers up and knocked him back slightly. She ducked and rolled past him as he tried to slash her, before she turned while crouched down and kicked his back, knocking him forward, before he turned around. He brought out his blaster and fired it at her, but missed as she jumped up, then she dived down towards him.
"Huh?" he gasped.
"Your control ends here!" Val declared.
She held her blade to her left, then sliced it to her right, slicing off Hardshell's antennas, before she kicked him with both feet, knocking him down onto his back as she back flipped away.
"My antennas! NOOO!" Hardshell cried, touching his head.
Val landed on the ground crouched down, then she got up and turned around, as the others gathered around her.
"Get over it, Hardshell." she said, putting her blade away. "You've lost control of your slaves now."
Sky and Z both turned and saw all the freed slaves inside running off.
"Well, that takes care of that." Z said.
"And with that proof, they'll be clear." Sky said.
Hardshell pulled himself up and stared at all six Rangers.
"You Rangers will pay for all this!" Hardshell roared. "I swear it!"
He took out a remote and pressed it, then a blue Conenose robot rose up from the ground. This one had a cannon for its left arm, while it had a large claw on its right, looking almost exactly like the last one the Rangers had fought.
"Time to take this up a notch." he said.
He turned around and jumped up into the robot, landing in the cockpit.
"You Rangers are going down!" he roared.
His robot lowered its claw arm down to hit the Rangers, who all dived to their left to avoid it.
"Whoa!" they yelled.
They all hit the ground and rolled over, before Val got up and held up her morpher, opening it up in 'phone' mode.
"Kat, we need the runners!" she said.
(Delta Base)
Kat sat in her lab, sitting behind her desk.
"On the way." she said.
(Zord bay)
Delta Runner 1 began to race off down a tunnel, followed by Delta Runners 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, as their sirens wailed.
The left side of the Delta Base opened up, then Delta Runner 1 came out of it, followed by Delta Runner 2, whcih spread its gyro wings and flew off, then the others came out and raced off.
Once at the scene, they raced towards the Conenose robot, as the Rangers ran towards them.
"Let's go, guys!" Jack said.
He jumped up into his Zord, followed by Sky, Bridge, Z, Syd, and then Val.
The screen split into six, from left to right, Sky, Z, Jack, Val, Syd and Bridge.
"Delta Squad Megazord!" they shouted.
Delta Runner 1 extended its claws out, as Delta Runners 4 and 5 turned around and raced towards it, before it grabbed them both with its claws. It lifted itself up slightly by lifting up its front wheels, pulling the other two onto their back ends. They both turned to it, then attached to its big wheels. Delta Runner 6 jumped over a building and split in half, then the front attached itself on top of Delta Runner 4, while the back attached itself on top of Delta Runner 5.
Delta Runner 2 - on the ground with its front wheel and right wing retracted in - lifted its body up so its cockpit was on the ground, while Delta Runner 3 lifted its back up, leaving the front of it alone. Delta Runner 1's front wheels rotate out, as hands extended out of Delta Runners 4 and 5, then it lifted itself up, then down onto Delta Runner's 2 and 3, before its back rotated down, showing the head.
The Delta Blaster shot out of Delta Runner 3, which it caught in its right hand, then every loose bit retracted inside, forming the Delta Squad Megazord, which aimed the Delta Blaster as the sirens around its body wailed.
The Conerose robot stared at it, as they both began to circle each other.
"You Rangers won't be safe in that tin can!" Hardshell snarled.
The Conerose robot began to charge at the Delta Squad Megazord.
"We'll see about that!" Val said.
The Delta Squad Megazord charged at the Conerose robot, then punched its chest slightly, knocking it back slightly. The Conerose robot then tried to stab it with its claw, but missed as it dodged, before it whacked the Conerose robot's chest with the Delta Blaster, knocking it back.
"Ah!" Hardshell groaned, wobbling slightly. "Let's see how you like this!"
He pressed a button on his controls, then the Conerose robot aimed and fired its cannon.
"¡Guau!" Val yelped, turning her wheel right.
The Delta Squad Megazord jumped and dived to its right, making it dodge a blast, then it fired the Delta Blaster three times, hitting the Conerose robot, making sparks come out of it all over.
"AHH!" Hardshell moaned, as sparks came into the cockpit.
The Delta Squad Megazord twirled slightly and landed on its feet.
"Have you had enough?" Jack asked.
"Give me your best shot!" Hardshell dared.
"As you wish." Val smirked.
The Delta Squad Megazord aimed and fired the Delta Blaster rapidly, hitting it all over, making sparks and lighting come out of it and all over the cockpit.
"AHH!" Hardshell moaned, shaking wildly.
He fell against his control panel, then sat up to move it, but it wouldn't.
"My systems are down!" he gasped. "I better bail out and make a run for it!"
He jumped out of the Conerose robot and dived away from it.
The sirens wailed all over the Delta Squad Megazord, which aimed its Delta Blaster.
The screen split into six, the Rangers numbers in their spots, before they began appearing in their places, one by one.
"6!"
"5!"
"4!"
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
"Fire!" they all shouted, holding their right hands like pistols.
The Delta Squad Megazord fired its Delta Blaster several times, hitting the Conerose robot, making sparks come out of it, before it fell onto its chest and blew up, as the Delta Squad Megazord turned around.
The screen split into six, the Rangers in the same spots.
"Down for the count." they all said, holding their right thumbs down.
The Delta Squad Megazord spun its Delta Blaster around, before putting it in its holder, which closed up, then it held its left thumb up.
Hardshell dived down hit the ground hard in a crouched position, before he got up.
"I better get outta here before they find and get me too." he said.
"Not so fast!" Val yelled, as he began to run off.
Hardshell stopped and turned around, seeing the Rangers diving towards him, first Jack, then Sky, Bridge, Z, Syd and Val, before they all landed on the ground, then they got up and turned around to him.
"You're not getting away from us this time!" Jack said, pointing at him.
"We're taking you in, Hardshell!" Val said.
She began to walk forward as the others stood still.
"So, are you coming in peacefully?" Val asked.
"Never!" Hardshell roared.
"Figured. Hardshell, you are charged for making innocent people steal for you, for selling stuff on the forces of evil, and also for making me lead my friends into a trap!" Val declared.
She held up her morpher in 'Judgement' mode.
"Judgement mode!" she shouted.
She pressed the button, opening it up, starting the red X blue 0 sequence, as the clock came around Hardshell.
"Huh? What the?" he exclaimed.
The X flashed on Val's morpher.
"Guilty!" the Rangers said, saluting.
"RIC, catch!" Val shouted, holding the bone.
She tossed it up as RIC arrived and jumped up, before he bit it. His back end rotated 180 degrees, then his back legs folded down, while his tail began a handle, then his front legs rose up, then cannons rose up from them, forming the Canine Cannon, as the Rangers all caught him.
"Canine Cannon!" they shouted, taking their places as Jack aimed it.
"Ah!" Hardshelll gasped.
"Target locked..." Val said.
"Fire!" the others shouted.
All but Jack pointed their hands out, who fired it, shooting two blasts out, which flew towards and hit Hardshell.
"AHH!" he moaned.
Sparks and lighting came out of him, before an explosion went off, sending him flying away.
"AHHHH!" he yelled.
He hit the ground on his chest as Val walked over towards him.
"You're coming with us." she said.
Hardshell turned to her as she held up her morpher.
"Containment mode!" she shouted.
She fired a beam from the button at Hardshell, which hit him and trapped him into a Containment Card.
"Hey, no fair!" he exclaimed. "Let me out!"
"And with that, case complete." Val joked, punching her fist up.
On Grumm's ship, Grumm and Broodwing both stood near the main control panel.
"Hardshell has been arrested, my Emperor." Broodwing reported. "Meaning, you've lost everything he had stolen, since it wasn't transported here."
"I know." Grumm said, turning away. "I'm not happy with this. Some of that stuff would've helped my Empire!"
His eyes glowed as he slammed his fist into the panel, as Broodwing stared at him.
"Those Rangers must be defeated if I'm to get to Cruger and take over Earth, like all the other planets I've raided!" Grumm declared. "And I will do it, no matter how long it takes!"
Broodwing moved back slightly as Grumm turned around to him, his eyes glowing as he laughed.
Later, in the Delta Base, at night-time, Val stood with Cruger in the Command Room.
"You disobeyed a direct order in staying in the base by going out to investigate alone." he said. "This easily allowed you to be captured, allowing Hardshell to use you to lead the others into that trap."
"Yes, sir." Val gulped. "I'm sorry, sir."
"I understood why you went back, as you wanted to prove yourself, but you've already done that before." Cruger said. "No one should have to prove their loyalty all the time. Jack just needs to learn to trust you more, so you won't end up doing that again.
"Understood, sir." Val said.
"Good. Dismissed. You'll start your punishment in the morning." Cruger said.
Val saluted, before she turned around and walked out of the room.
Later, Val sat in the Common Room, when the other Rangers entered and came towards her.
"So, how'd it go?" Jack asked.
"Well, it could've been worse actually." Val said, looking up. "I've got to mop up all the floors in the base, starting tomorrow due to how late it is."
"Ouch." Jack said.
"That is lucky." Syd said.
"Yeah." Val sighed. "How's my bike?"
"It got trashed pity good, but it is repairable." Sky assured. "It'll take a while though."
"Guess I'm in the jeep until then." Val sighed.
"Yeah." Z agreed.
Jack sighed and sat down beside her.
"Can you guys leave us alone for a minute?" he asked.
"Sure." Sky said. "Come on."
He, Z and Syd all turned around and walked off, as Bridge patted Val's shoulder.
"We'll see you guys later." he said, before he turned and followed the others.
Val nodded before she turned to Jack.
"I wanna apologize, Val." Jack said. "I was stupid to think you'd lied to us. Sky was right when he told me you were loyal."
"Well, that's a surprise, since we don't get along much." Val admitted. "But then, he's known me longer than you and Z."
"I guess I still have to a lot to learn." Jack said. "Apart from Z, I still don't know the rest of you well. So, again, I'm sorry."
"Apology accepted, Jack." Val said, as they shook hands. "And look, I understand. If it had been you or Z, I might've done the same, since you're both still new around her."
"Fair enough." Jack said.
He got up and began to walk off, before Val got up as well.
"Well, see you tomorrow." she said, walking past him.
"See ya." Jack said.
They both walked towards the door, then turned right down the hallway, as it closed behind them both.
