Thank you for the reviews Princess Rosalind of Underland, hoopznyoyo, and SunAndStars93
and so many questions... :)
I know! And sadly it will be some time before they are answered, but I'll try to be quicker with the updates!
And the chicken line in chapter 3 got me, I wasn't expecting that!
Thank you! I'm really proud of that line so so glad you mentioned it! :)
Also your descriptions of the levels of hell! I like how thought out & detailed they were, and who Jaime would think would be in each one. Great world building!
Thank you so much! :D Thinking up what sort of people would go to what hells has actually been the most difficult part of writing this fic so far for me.
Back to Cersei's POV for now and for the next several chapters!
Cersei ran but the being was quickly catching up to her. As it got close, it flew lower to the ground. Nearby people screamed and ran to avoid the demon, but the beast was not concerned with them. It was Cersei he had his eye on and her that he followed.
Soon he was near to her, so much so that she could smell it. The smell in hell was already terrible but the stench from this floating monstrosity was something else entirely. Cersei retched, which both hurt her dry throat tremendously and slowed her enough for the beast to make his move.
It hovered over her and she stood frozen in fear while its tongue slowly darted out, heading straight for her.
She darted to the side but the tongue moved with her, stopping in front of her. She darted again, desperately wanting to avoid being touched by the slimy green thing. She dared to glance up and was greeted with the sight of long razor-sharp teeth.
The tongue kept moving in front of her. No matter where she would step, it would follow. She unwillingly danced with the tongue for several moments. The being above her laughed, or at least she assumed that strange noise was laughter.
On her next move, it seemed the being was done playing games.
The tongue grabbed her and wrapped itself around her body before pulling her up and into its mouth.
