Hello there, friends. Welcome to the next chapter of Avatar: Immortal Dragon.

Hope you'll enjoy it. Forgot to mention it last chapter but the Jason and Soshi where from a pre-book 3 time.

And now story time.

In the morning, Genji's eyes opened when sunlight shined down through the window. A bra belonging to Asami was draped over a lamp on the nightstand. He was laying in his bed, Asami next to him with her head resting on his chest, her legs over his own as she snuggled into him.

"Asami." Genji said gently, "We need to get up."

"Silence." Asami muttered in her sleep, "Pillows shouldn't talk."

"I guess we can stay like this for a while." Genji said, holding her in his arms, "But don't forget you got that thing with Korra."

"Oh yeah." Asami said opening her eyes, "Girls afternoon."

"Yeah, my girlfriend is going to spend the afternoon with my granddaughter-in-law..." Genji said with a raised eyebrow, "Never thought I would say that."

"You think that's weird? Asami said with a laugh, "I have a stepdaughter who is as old as my dad."

"And yet not the weirdest thing that ever happened to me, not even this week." Genji said with a laugh of his own, "...Did I mention I went to space?"

"Yes, you did. Several times." Asami said with a giggle, laying on her side to face him, "Okay, what's wrong? Don't try to lie, I know your tells."

"Asami you know, I love you and I'm going to tell what's wrong with me, but I have to correct you on that. I don't have tells." Genji said, "It's just something Tyranno said, and it wasn't even directed at me."

"What was it?" she said.

"Your fighting so you can watch everything around you die. You'll outlast every fragile, insignificant being in the Worlds. You'll live to see your planet crumble to dust and blow away." Genji repeated, "It kind of does apply to me... Though I doubt I'll witness this planet crumble to dust, there is going to come a day, when your old and grey and I won't even have a single grey hair on my head."

"Genji..." Asami muttered.

"But that's okay, I won't die before you, so I'll always be there for you." Genji said with a small smile, "It's not the first time but I just never gave it much thought..."

Later that day, Genji entered the living area on Air Temple Island, carrying a box with him and the entire family is there.

"No, check this out." Bumi said as he preformed a bunch of punches, "I can do it." he continues his attempts, but to no avail, while Ikki and Meelo turn away when their excitement has died down.

"Stop waving your arms around at the table." an irritated Tenzin said, "It's not funny anymore."

"Hey, Jinora." Genji said as he squatted down next to her, "What's up with Bumi?"

"Uncle Bumi says he airbended earlier, but he can't now." Jinora explained, "Oh, and I guess he's not very good at knitting either."

"That is weird. Not the knitting part." Genji said with a shrug, "So anyway, how's everything with you?"

"I'm fine Grunkle Genji." she said, "How about you?"

"Honestly? Everything is going great! You can blame Asami for that." Genji said with a smile, "What about you? Do you have a boyfriend yet?"

"W-what!?" Jinora said as she instantly became red, "No, I don't have a boyfriend!"

"...Girlfriend?" Genji said, "Don't worry, I don't judge."

"No! I'm eleven!" she protested.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Genji said with a raised eyebrow, "But you have that age your starting to like boys."

"Yes, well..." Jinora muttered, "That guy who helped you, the one with the mask... I thought he was cute."

"Soshi?" Genji said with an approving nod, "Yeah, your not the only one."

"Wait! I got it!" Bumi suddenly shouted, "Maybe I can only do it when my life is in danger! Where is Bolin? I need him to bend a giant boulder at me!"

"...I don't think that's a good idea." Jinora muttered.

"If you're going to be bending giant boulders, you can do it outside." Pema said irritated.

"No one is bending giant boulders!" Tenzin said.

Genji reached inside the box, taking out a firecracker before using his lighter to lit it. "Fire in the hole!" he shouted before throwing it at Bumi.

As the firecracker comes closer, Bumi looks on in fear and stretches out his hands, stopping the firecracker in a ball of air.

"Well damn." Genji said, looking at Jinora, "I guess he was right."

"I told you!" Bumi said triumphantly as the rest of the table looks on in total surprise.

"Unbelievable." Tenzin said with wide eyes, "You're actually an airbender."

"Wait 'till I tell Mom!" Bumi said excited, "She's gonna love this!" he loses control of his bending, causing the firecracker to drop onto the table.

"Do you think being in the Spirit World during Harmonic Convergence could have given him bending?" Tenzin said turning to Genji.

"It's possible." Genji said unsure, "He was still carrying the airbending gene. So even if he couldn't airbend himself, a child of his could potentially be an airbender. Same with Kya. So it could be the gene was activated during Harmonic Convergence."

"Maybe Uncle Bumi is just a late bloomer." Ikki said.

"Is also a possibility." Genji said with a shrug as he watched Bumi continues to airbend.

"On an unrelated note." Tenzin said, "Why are you carrying a box of fireworks?"

"I was bored, and wanted to blow up some stuff. Thought I could do it with my favorite nephews and nieces." Genji said, he turned his head just as Lin and Mako entered the room, "Hey Lin! How's my favorite daughter?"

He could have sworn he saw a small smile on her face before she turned serious again. If you asked Genji, their relationship had made great progress ever since Genji had saved the president.

"Lin, you won't believe this!" Tenzin said, "Bumi just started airbending."

Lin and Mako widen their eyes in surprise before the police chief began to speak, "I'm afraid he's not the only one."

"Say what?" Genji said, "What you talking about, Lin?"

"I got a call last night." Mako explained, "About a guy who just started airbending out of nowhere."

"You mean there's another one?" Tenzin said, "Where is he now?"

"He..." Mako said, "He blew a door down on me and got away."

"Honestly Mako, can't blame the guy for that." Genji said casually, "Anyways, can I be of service? I can help track him, I'm very good at that."

"Well, y'know, you should leave it with the police." Mako said, "It's... police business. Y'know. It's... official."

"Oh, Mako..." Genji said with a deep sigh placing a hand on his shoulder, "I don't know why you make me so furious."

"For me, it's his face." Lin said with a nod, "I guess we could use your help. Though I have a few conditions."

"Anything for you." Genji said quickly, "Though I have a few of my own. I don't do anything with children or animals."

"No killing and we're doing this by the book, are we clear?" Lin said sternly, "I want your word."

"You got it." Genji said with a two finger salute, "Now let's go chief!"

It was during the night at Kyoshi Bridge. Genji had tracked down Daw, the new airbender to it and the man was now on top of the bridge. A police barricade was set up as people had gathered behind the officers. Stepping out of the car Lin was handed a megaphone before she ordered Mako to call the Avatar.

"Come down immediately." Lin said through a megaphone, "Or we will be forced to take action."

Daw, who chatters, trembles and holding onto the bridge, while looking around wondrously as metalbenders approach him and take fighting stances. The metalbender cop attacks him. He defends himself using an air dome, knocking off all the metalbenders. They manage to fire their cables toward the bridge before swinging back to the ground.

"Alright, do you have any..." Lin said turning to her dad but to her surprise he was nowhere to be found.

"Oh spirits! There's another one!"

Lin follows the citizen's arm as it pointed to the ledge, who she sees standing on the ledge nearly made her stomach do flips.

"Hey Lin!" Genji yelled as he waved at her, "You need your roots done!" he moved towards Daw standing on the ledge, and stood beside him.

"Stand back!" Daw said, "I'm dangerous!"

"Oh no, I'm not here to stop you. If you wanna jump go for it." Genji said unconcerned taking a flask from his pocket, "So rough day?" taking a swing from his drink.

His offered the flask to Daw, who only looked confused at him.

"Not a whisky kind of guy? Lame." Genji said taking another drink, "Look, you've been through some changes. I've been through some myself, long ago and recently. But like me back then, your not alone, there are other airbenders and they want to help you. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it in the end."

"Yeah..." Daw said as he leans away from the ledge, "Yeah, you know what maybe the worst is behind me... I think I'd like to go down now."

"I wasn't offering." Genji said gesturing behind him, "But sure go right on ahead."

Daw walks past Genji while he peers over the ledge, and gives the crowd two thumbs up. They cheer for him.

When he was back down with Daw. They walked up to Korra, Ichiro, Lin and Tenzin approach them as they came down. Lin just shook her head.

"Cheer up. You act as if I killed a puppy." Genji said with a wink, "Oh, right. Tenzin this is Daw. Daw, this is my nephew Tenzin, airbending master."

"It is absolutely my pleasure to meet you, Daw." Tenzin said with a bow, "I have never met a new airbender before. Well, at least not one whose diaper I didn't have to change."

"Yeah, you never changed Ichiro's diaper." Lin said with her arms crossed.

"Please don't start mother." Ichiro said embarrassed.

But their attention was drawn behind them as the metalbender cop opens the fence for president Raiko, who comes walking up to them.

"So, is this the deal?" he said, "We have crisis every other day now thanks to you."

"Listen, I know you're having a tough time getting used to these changes and I'm sorry for that, but you and everyone else are going to have to learn live with it." Korra said, "The spirits are here to stay."

"There are spirits in the city?" Genji said surprised, "Since when?"

"You didn't realize?" Daw said, "Where have you been?"

"...Space." Genji said.

"Well, you know who's not here to stay?" Raiko said angrily, "You! I order you to leave this city. You've caused nothing but trouble since you arrived."

"You can't do that." Ichiro said at once, "There is no law that gives the president the authority to banish people from Republic City grounds."

"Laws can be changed boy." Raiko told him.

"Oi!" Genji shouted, "You don't talk to my grandson like that!"

It looked like Genji was about to punch Raiko in the face, and he would have done it if it wasn't for Korra holding out her hand.

"Don't worry, I was already leaving." Korra said as Raiko turned away from them, "I can see my path now. There are new airbenders out there and I'm going to find them and rebuild the Air Nation."

"Don't think I'm not going with you." Tenzin said, "It's so exciting. Who knows who's out there now, discovering the gift of airbending for the first time?"

In a mountainous region far from republic city, miles under the earth. A group of people under their leader, who had recently escaped from a White Lotus prison with his new ability to airbend.

"This is it." the leader said as they stood in front of a door made of black stone.

It had been the door their original leader, Xai Bau, had been searching for. And he would have succeeded if it hadn't been for a Shashou who had come to claim his life, though he had been trapped under tons of earth during a cave in.

Three of the group take a fighting stances before each bend earth, water and fire in a large stream. A gong like sound echoed through the cave, dust and dirt falling from the ceiling as the door melts away, revealing a large cavern made out of the same black stone.

Inside above an elevated platform was a crystal dome, suspended above ground by pillars made of the same black stone. The leader walks closer, mesmerized by the very thing they had been searching, for the weapon that would see to their success.

An explosion of fire rocked one of his men as the room as filled with White Lotus members, the other members where subdued as another group took a fighting stance and aimed for the man.

"It's over Zaheer." the White Lotus squad leader said, "Your going back to prison."

"No, I don't think I will." Zaheer said as he bend a stream of air through the hidden grooves inside the platform.

The air travels around the room, until it reaches the stone pillars. It melted away to drop the crystal orb and making it fall to the platform. Upon impact, the crystal destroys itself in an eruption of wind, throwing everyone in the room back into the walls.

The White Lotus recovered first, managing to subdue Zaheer on the ground but with him facing the platform.

Among the shattered crystal sat a kneeled man, his hair long and black the bangs hiding his eyes, a long beard decorated his face. He was also completely naked.

"Who the hell is that?" the White Lotus leader said.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Zaheer said with a grin.

The remaining White Lotus stood ready as one of them walker up closer to subdue the long haired man as well.

"Hands where I can see them." he ordered.

But in the blink of an eye, the White Lotus member was grabbed by the throat. The naked man stood up lifting him off the ground before snapping his throat. The White Lotus bend streams of fire, boulders of earth and bullets of water at the man, who used the body of the fallen White Lotus member as a improvised shield to block the incoming elements.

"Your bending..." the man said, among his hair they could see purple eyes with slid, serpentine pupils, his eye white turning black, "Is weak."

He threw the body aside, moving so fast it appeared as if he was teleporting and before the White Lotus could react, one had his chest punched through and another his head caved in. An earthbender gets a hole punched through his stomach with his intestines flying out of his back, and is decapitated with a swift chop to the neck.

They continued to attack, but their opponent was too fast. One by one, they where crushed against the wall, neck snapped or their bodies torn limb from limb. One of the White Lotus waterbenders get her neck snapped by being twisted around and her dying head vomits up blood before her body finally falls over.

The man grabbed one of the White Lotus by the arm before throwing him into another, still holding a ripped off arm.

Zaheer watched as the White Lotus leader's fire kick was stopped as the man caught it. Before he was ragdolled into the ground so hard his head explodes leaving only a unrecognizable, limp corpse.

And when the dust settled only Zaheer, the three from his group and the naked man where left.

"Easy." Zaheer said, holding up his hands in surrender, "We are not with them. We are not your enemy."

"Your names." the man said, as his eye white turn back to normal, "Now!"

"My name is Zaheer." Zaheer introduced himself, "These are my brother in the Red Lotus..."

"Never heard of them, but you seem no friend of the White Lotus, which bought you a moment to explain." the man said slightly tilting his head, "What reason does an airbender have to free me?"

"It's the dawning of a new age but we need your help." Zaheer said, "The end of the White Lotus, and soon, the end of the Avatar."

"Look I'm all for going to war with the White Lotus... But the fuck did Kyoshi do?" the man said with a raised eyebrow, "Sure she's a bit of a bitch, but that's no reason to kill her."

"Kyoshi is not the Avatar anymore, you have a lot to catch up on. But this is not the place." Zaheer said, "Come with us, Sojiro Aizen."
