AN: For the first one, "a solomonic solution/judgment is one rendered to a crushing dilemma that is wise and fair, but heartless; it's named after the judgment of Solomon in Kings 3:16–28" (definition taken from the prompt!)

Solomonic Solution (Millium, Claire, Lechter)

"Oh, I know this!" Millium cheered, thrusting a fist into the air before Claire could start explaining the diagram. "This is totally the trolley problem!"

Would wonders never cease.

"Y-Yes," Claire said with a nod, more than a little taken aback by this turn of events. "That's right, Millium. You've seen it before?"

"Uh huh! Me and Lechter talked it over one time," and Goddess, she really didn't like the smirk on his face.

"I… see. And what preliminary solution – "

"Air strike! If y'make the trolley and the tracks all go boom, problem solved!"

"Mmmmmm. Lechter?"

"Yeah?"

"Get out."

Slipping Away (Juna, Louise)

From 5-2 to 5-6, break point down. It had all happened so quickly.

Her heart racing as she steps to the line, Juna grabs a ball and wills her nerves to quiet, commanding her shaking arm to go still. Had she been a little careless? Yes. Did Louise take full advantage? Yes. Was this match over?

No. No. Absolutely not.

Louise's gaze meets Juna's from across the net, her normally soft eyes narrowed and laser focused when she lowers herself into a receiving stance.

She's giving it all she has. Juna refuses to do any less.

The ball flies.

Deuce.

Awake (Machias, Alisa)

"Here, Alisa. I don't normally make a habit of sharing this, but you look like you need it."

A bleary eyed Alisa looked up as Machias set down a steaming mug in front of her, the alluring aroma managing to rouse her just the slightest bit.

"Thanks, but I already had a cup. I dunno if two's better than one in this case…" she told him, taking a resigned sip.

A second later, her eyes went wide.

"W-W-W-What - "

"My secret weapon; the custom blend that I reserve specifically for after all-nighters," Machias said, not quite smirking. "You're welcome."
