God I am passing out too much. I woke from my panic attack. It was night and that big glowing tree was still there.

I sat there for what seemed like several hours staring at the vast forest, marveling at its beauty. I felt, as its glow washed over me, a familiar energy. One that had pulled me out of that Place. The words said to me right before I woke up flashing in my mind, "You are safe now. Come find me." A shiver runs down my back as I turn my attention back to the glowing tree.

"Unless there is some other mystical that shows themselves now…" no one shows up, "...alright then, big ass glowing tree it is."

I turned and began climbing down from my perch. That's when I saw a bright green glow coming from further towards the living glowstick. Just before that giant canyon that was between it and me.

Once I reach the bottom I start heading towards that green light. More cautiously than before. What was I thinking running around without recon. I'm getting rusty. "Shit!" I yelped as I tripped over a stone.

Frowning, I got back up and kicked the stone hard. It went flying, way further than I thought it should. My eyes tracked it with inhuman precision as it flew through the air. I watched it until it soared beyond the treetops. Sighing, I resumed my trek.

As the sun got lower, I found another small stream. While drinking the ice-cold water, my stomach let me know that I haven't found anything to eat. I looked around for something edible to eat, but there was nothing but moss, trees and some sort of flower that hasn't bloomed. I read somewhere that flowers are edible, so I went over to the flower. It turned out to be about the size of my entire body. I tried to peel it open, but it wouldn't budge. Perhaps if peeling doesn't work then brute force is always a go to. I took a running leap and brought the full force of my body down on the stupid plant.

*Pop*

It popped open and I was launched back into the air. Landing back on my hooves, I wobbled slightly before regaining my balance. I looked behind me, towards the plant, and saw a glowing fruit hovering in mid-air. "What the...? Whoa!" It suddenly dropped from where it was hovering. It landed in the opened petals of the flower. Hesitantly, I walked up to it and gave it a poke with my hand. When it didn't react, I reached down and picked it up and inspected it.

It was green. The same green as the plant it came from. It was almost perfectly round, and it glistened with a sticky liquid that reminded me of syrup. It looked like the perfect fruit. I slowly held it up to my mouth and took a bite. "!? Oh my god!" It was the best fruit that I have ever tasted in my life. EVER. The perfect combination of sweet and bitter. Crunchy like an apple, and the consistency of a grape.

After a while of savoring the flavor, I swallow the bite and go for another when I feel something weird wash through my body. A green wave of energy flowed over my skin. From the tips of my ears to the bottom of my hooves I felt revitalized. It was like a cup of coffee.

"What a rush. Ok maybe that is enough for now.", I say while looking around, "Time to find shelter for the night." I spot a log wedged between a rock and… another rock.

That'll be good. I thought, as I curled up to sleep on a bed of moss.

I woke up to the sun beaming, and birds chirping. Blinking the sleep out of my eyes, I spot the fruit that I had yesterday still sitting there looking fresh from the bulb.

The fruit still smelled good, so I ate the rest of it, feeling the amazing flavor and the familiar rush of energy filling up my body. Getting up and stretching I walk over to the stream that I found to take a drink. Shivering at its temperature, I make to climb up a tree to gain my bearings.

Once I reach the top, I find that I should reach that green glowing thing in about a day and then another two to reach that glowing tree.

I hop down the branches to the bottom and start running.

In the spirit grove the spirit tree has gathered some of his most agile children. After feeling the massive discharge of spirit light, he wanted to find what that disturbance was. "Maybe you have heard from one or another. There has been a release of spirit energy deep in the misty woods. A release just below the power of one of the elements. I have gathered you all because you are the fastest of all my children. I require your help to investigate this disturbance. Are you up to the task?"

The spirits gathered gave their assent and went to gather supplies for the journey.

"What do you think made that blast that dad was talking about?" "Almost more energy than one of the elements?!" "Is it a new spirit?" "Maybe it's from beyond the decay to the west."

After they gathered all that they needed, they sprinted off towards the misty woods.

A thick fog encompasses my vision as I get nearer to the glow. It obscures anything a couple of meters away from me. The only things that allow me any sight are the slight glow of my body and the ever-increasing green light in front of me.

Continuing to walk to the unknown light source I take in the swamp like atmosphere. This forest has been downright creeping me out for a while now. The only reassurance that I have was the light and its comforting glow. Now that I'm closer to it, I could feel something radiating from the light. It felt like a comforting blanket while watching a movie.

As I reached the clearing that seemed to house this light, that feeling of comfort increased and whatever was watching me stopped. The mist seemed to shy away from the light. There were huge stone pillars set around a raised platform. That platform housed the light.

Curiously I walked closer to the stone monument. It's rays of light shining deep into me. It was calling something inside. Something that I didn't know was there.

I reached out and touched the ball of light. It's energy reaching out in a questioning manner. It was asking for something. I felt over the ball, rubbing its surface it was slightly wet. It was impossibly smooth, and it shone with a shade of green that I hadn't known was possible. It felt artificial, like it was made in a factory and yet it felt natural all the same. It was the perfect balance of natural and unnatural.

It sent the feeling of asking again. "I don't know what you want." I said, keeping my hands on the ball. It sent a feeling of pushing something into itself. A feeling deep inside me resonated with the ball. I focused on that feeling and pushed on it with my mind. A squeezing feeling deep in my chest and my glow seemed to get a little brighter. I tried to move the feeling around my body. Anywhere I moved it, that part of my body started to glow like I shined a flashlight on it. I pushed it to my hands, which started to glow. The orb shot a giddy feeling into my mind, so I assumed that is what it wanted me to do. I placed my hands near the orb and pushed that feeling towards it. A white glowing ball of light materialized near my hands and started floating towards the green light. My ball inched closer and closer to it. Once my light touched the green light, it got absorbed almost hungrily by the green light. An almost instantaneous reaction happened after that. The green light grew so bright that it hurt to look at and the mist that was around me got forced back in an explosion of force that threw me back. As I flew back, I looked at the green light. It sent me emotions of happiness and apology.

I bounced a couple of times on the ground before sliding to a stop. A wave of exhaustion washed over my body turning my body to lead. I tried to lift my head or anything to move to a safer spot, but I couldn't move. As blackness shrouded my eyes, I could faintly recognize the concern emanating from the green light. That was the last thing I felt.

The group of spirits moved towards the canyon that separated the misty woods from the rest of Nibel. Their hooves pounding against the moss and stone. Jumping in between trees and swimming through the crystal-clear ponds and rivers.

The Spirit Tree tracked their movement throughout their journey. They were just about a day away from the newest disturbance. Atsu's Torch, one of the more brilliant inventions of his children, had gotten a power boost. He hadn't felt this one himself. It was of less power than the previous one. He only got word when Atsu himself had come to him. He used minor control over the wildlife to communicate to the group he sent after the disturbance to stop by Atsu's Torch, just to make sure.

"It was sentient for sure, but I don't think that they meant any harm." Said Atsu.

"Are you sure?" The Spirit Tree asked.

"Yeah… They were just curious, but after they gave my torch a much needed boost I felt them get hurt by the wave of energy. I worry for their safety."

"Very well" said The Spirit Tree, "I shall detour your brothers and sisters from their mission to take a look."

"Thank you, father." Atsu sighed out.

After informing The Spirit Tree, Atsu wandered off with a concerned look on his face. I hope whoever gave my torch that much energy will survive. I would love to meet someone with that power.

Ouch my head hurts. Where is that Light? I look around scanning my surroundings, spotting the Light from earlier. It was sending me various different emotions. Happiness. Relief. Excitement. "Yeah, Yeah, I'm up." Amusement.

I scoffed at the Light. Walking up to it, I looked deeply into it until my eyes hurt. "Jeez! You are much brighter than before." Gratitude. "What? You are saying I did this?!" Agreement. "Wow. Its like I can feel the energy moving through my body."

A branch snapped in the distance.

I tensed up and started scanning the tree line looking for whatever had made that noise. After a while of looking around I started noticing a light heading for where we were. Shit! "Hey light ball you should hide." I whispered. Confusion. "I'm starting to like you, so just make sure you aren't seen by whatever is coming." Reluctant agreement. The green light dimmed, and I picked it up and raced for a nearby log.

That is when I noticed a problem. MY light, it was too bright. Damn it. How do I turn this off?! "Light! How do I dim myself?" I whisper yelled. The feeling I got from it was not an emotion. It was more like building a dam in my veins. Hold it for too long and I could die, although should I not do it I could get a fate much worse.

I built up that wall, and like a light switch my light shut off leaving plain white fur. I felt energy building up behind the wall that I built. It started to push against the dam and a pressure in my chest started forming. Reassurance. "Thanks light. I appreciate it." I whispered as the foot falls emerged into the clearing.

Several glowing beings ran in to the clearing looking around for something.

"Where did the torch go?!" one of them said.

One of them dropped from the trees above scanning the area with a serious expression on their face. "It can't have gone far. Look around for it."

Shit! I sat there petrified, holding onto the dim torch with a death grip. My ears pointed straight back. Afraid to even breathe in fear that they would find me.

Hearing the footsteps running all around me, I started to feel the pressure to build up until it started to hurt. Worry. Yes I get it Torch. They all converged around the log that I had hid inside of. One of them took a few steps towards the opening of the log and looked down into it. I saw their face staring straight at mine. We held eye contact for what seemed like an eternity. The pressure in my chest changed into a searing pain. I scrunched my face in pain, and I saw the other's frown in worry. Worry! Break!

I broke down the dam that was holding back the energy in my body and light exploded outward. For a split second I saw the other's expression change from worry to surprise just as the wave of energy washed over them with little to no effect. My vision started to darken around the edges as I heard someone talking to me. I couldn't make out the words but I could feel the Torch sending me reassurances that they were nice. I tried to speak to them but I could feel myself slipping into unconsciousness.

The last thing I felt was someone petting between my ears and I am ashamed to admit it but it feels Soo good.
