Chapter 4: I'm the Snake, You're the Rabbit
It was the next day of school after orientation, and the kids were back at school. There were core classes like English, Math, Literature, Science, etc. they all met in the mornings. After that at around noon, lunchtime was given where the kids could get tasty food on the cheap that was prepared by the Cooking Hero: Lunch Rush. And then finally… There was Hero Basic Training. That class was taught by…
"I AM HERE! Walking through the door like a hero!" All Might exclaimed, grabbing everyone's attention.
The kids all gave various gleeful reactions at the Hero's arrival as he walked into the classroom in his Silver Age costume.
"Whoa, I can't believe it's really All Might!" Eijiro Kirishima, a spiky redhead with red eyes said in surprise.
"And he's in his Silver Age costume!" One of the other students, Tsuyu Asui, exclaimed.
"Whoa it's so retro!" Mashirao Ojiro, a boy with a tail added.
"Bloody hell. He's even bigger in person!" Erin added in surprise.
"Welcome everyone to Hero Basic Training! Here you will learn what it takes to fight in the name of good! Think of it as Heroing 101." The Symbol of Peace said before pulling out a card that said Battle. "And this lesson will pull no punches!" He added.
"Now this is what I'm talking about!" Kirishima exclaimed with a grin.
"Battle training!" Bakugo said with an eager grin.
"Thisss doesss not look good." Izuku hissed nervously.
"Now, one of the most important parts of being a hero is—looking good!" All Might said as suitcases came out of the wall. "These costumes were made for you with your quirk registration forms. Change into them and meet me at training ground Beta!"
(Later)
After getting changed everyone quickly made their way to training ground Beta, where All Might was already there waiting for them all to arrive.
"They say clothes make the heroes, and you, children, are the proof!" He said with a grin as the kids stepped into the light. "From this moment forward you are now—Heroes in training!" He added as he looked at them. "This is getting me all revved up! You look so cool! Now, you ready to get started, ya bunch of newbies?!"
It was at this point that Izuku came running out in his costume. It was a rather simple costume honestly. It consisted of a skin tight compression fabric tracksuit, boots, clothes and a face cowl. As well as a respirator that went over his mouth that was made of metal and had a snake-like fanged smile going across it.
The pants of the tracksuit were a light green on the outside with black going from the ankles up, an emerald green snake underbelly pattern on the inner thighs and calves. The long sleeve compression shirt had the same basic look with the underbelly pattern going up his stomach and ending at his chest. With black going down his sides and the lighter green being the primary color. Lastly he had a yellow diamond in the center of his chest.
His gloves went up His forearms over the sleeves of his shirt, and were dark green with light green underbelly patterns on the palms and claws on the fingers as well as diamonds in the center of the top of the hands. His boots were the same way, dark green, going up to his calves and had light green soles.
Lastly his cowl had scale pattern around the eyes that was colored turquoise around the eyes with the rest being a dark blue. There was also a faux gold gem on the forehead of it. What was really noteworthy were the extensions on the top. These extensions looked almost identical to All Might's which made the hero start to try and hold back his laughter.
'Must he be so obvious?' He thought before schooling his features. 'He certainly makes the snake aesthetic work, though.' He added.
"Whoa, Deku, nice costume!" Uraraka said as she and Erin walked up to him. As the boy turned around, the extensions on his head nearly jumped off as he saw the two girl's costumes. They were both skin tight bodysuits.
Erin's was actually rather similar to his: It looked like a skin tight long sleeved dress colored a dark green with a light green stripe at her collarbone with a belt around her midsection. It stopped below her thighs, where a pair of satchels were strapped to her legs. She also had a pair of dark green boots with knee pads and ankle braces over them. Lastly, there was a light green visor over her eyes with the ear sections being fitted for her pointy ears.
"I gotta admit, the people who made our costumes did a good job. These look bloody brilliant." Erin noted, looking herself over.
"Now everyone, gather around!" All Might told them.
"Sir!" Iida said underneath his helmet. "This is the same ground for our entrance exams. Does that mean we'll be doing urban battles again?" He asked, his hand raised.
"Nope! This time I'm moving you two steps ahead." The man replied. "Now, most of the fights you see on the news typically take place outside. But, statistically speaking, the most dastardly evildoers are found indoors. Backroom deals, shady business, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals know to stick to the shadows. So, you will be broken up into two person teams and engage in mock two on two indoor battles!"
"Isn't this a little advanced?" Tsuyu asked.
"The best experience is what you get on the battlefield!" The man replied.
"Will we have to worry about the losers being sent home?" Ochako asked worriedly.
"How much are we allowed to hurt the other team?" Bakugo questioned.
"How will you be grading us?" Momo asked.
"Are you going to split us up by chance or comparative skill?" Iida continued.
"Don't suppose you could tell us what we're supposed to be doing, specifically?" Erin asked.
"Isn't this cape tre shiche?" Aoyama grinned, showing his sparkling accessory.
"I wasn't done talking!" The hero growled, causing them to clam up. He then pulled out a small script. "The situation is this. Two villains have stowed a nuclear payload somewhere in the building. The hero's job is to stop it by capturing the evildoers or the weapon to win. Likewise the villains will win if they can protect the weapon or capture the heroes." He explained. "And to choose teams we will be drawing lots." He added.
"So teams are going to be chosen at random? Isn't that rather haphazard?" Iida questioned.
"It's not as haphazard as it seems. Heroes have to team up with others from different agencies on the spot all the time, so this is likely one such occasion that we'll be experiencing." Izuku pointed out.
"Ah, I see." The boy nodded.
"Well he's a smart on' ain't he?" Erin whispered to Bakugo.
"Psh. He's a damn nerd, of course he is. Doesn't mean he's the best." The blonde scoffed.
A few minutes later, everyone had their names written on small strips of paper and teams were picked.
Izuku and Ochako made up a team, then Shoto and Shoji, Sato and Koda, Hagakure and Ojiro, Tokoyami and Tsu, Iida and Momo, Sero and Kirishima, Jiro and Kaminari, Mina and Aoyama, and then finally Erin and Bakugo.
"Alright, the first teams to go in are… these guys!" The symbol of peace exclaimed as he held up two balls with an A and D on them, indicating that it was Izuku and Ochako vs Bakugo and Erin.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me…" Bakugo groaned.
"Oh crap… I am so dead." The snake boy gulped.
(Later)
"So what's your deal with Izuku? You both seem tense around each other all the time." Erin asked as she sat on an empty oil drum, her legs crossed over each other.
"He's been trying to be a hero despite being quirkless, no matter what. He just can't accept reality." The boy replied.
"Quirkless? Him? I find that hard to believe after that quirk assessment test." The pixie girl shrugged.
"Yeah… I'm actually starting to think that way, too." The Pomeranian blonde sighed as his mind drifted back to Izuku's claim of being bitten by the mythical Shiro Orochi. 'I need to get to the bottom of this. I need straight answers.' He thought. "By the way, what's your quirk?" He asked.
"It's nothing special, really." The girl shrugged as she pointed her hand at the fake bomb and caused it to float as both it and her hand glowed green. "Just telekinesis. But only on what I can see, and using it too much gives me serious headaches." She told him. "I'm also able to influence a person's mood. Kind of."
"That sounds like it would come in handy." Bakugo noted.
"I haven't trained with it. And my telekinesis is basically useless in the dark, so I'm not sure how useful I'd be down stairs." She shrugged.
"There's plenty of lighting here, so you should be fine guarding the bomb." The exploder stated, getting a nod in return.
"Fair enough." Erin said, hopping down from the drum and walked over to him before leaning forward and smirking, her breasts bouncing as she did. "So, what're you gonna do while I'm up here, pumpkin?" She teased.
"Get up close and personal with that damn nerd." Bakugo growled, backing up. "I need to see if his snake powers are up to snuff." He added with a considerable blush.
"Alright then. Seems we have a plan." The girl smiled.
(Elsewhere)
Meanwhile, Izuku and Ochako had managed to get into the building and started trying to search for team D and the weapon, being sure to avoid any blind spots.
As they did, Apophis slithered out of Izuku's pocket and onto his shoulders. "If we happen to run into Bakugo, there's something I'd like you to try doing." The snake told him.
"What is it?" The boy responded. Ochako was about to ask who he was talking to when she spotted his teacher on his shoulders.
"Why do you have a snake with you?" She asked, not recognizing what snake Apophis was for now.
"I'm able to communicate with him, so he's like a second set of eyes." The boy told her as they rounded a corner… Just in time for the two to get jumped by Bakugo.
"DEKU!" He roared as he closed in on them.
"WHOA!" The two teens yelped as they got out of the way, but Izuku's mask was damaged.
"Deku, are you okay?!" Ochako asked as they got up.
"Yeah, it was just my mask." He replied as he toor the remaining half of her mask off his face as Bakugo swept away the smoke in front of them.
"What's the matter Deku? Afraid to stand up and fight me?" The blonde asked.
(Elsewhere)
-Observation Room-
"They dodged him!" Iida said surprise.
"Yeah, but attacking with a sneak attack Bakugo? What kind of a man pulls cheap crap like that?!" Kirishima said.
"Sneak attacks are commonly employed by villains. Young Bakugo is playing the part of a villain. Take note, everyone." The No. 1 hero told his students.
(Elsewhere)
Back with Izuku and Ochako, Bakugo had just thrown a large right hook at the snake boy and he dodged it by doing a backflip.
"Now use the hand seals I taught you. Tatsu, Tori, Hetsuchi and Tora." Apophis told him. The boy did so before he opened his mouth and his tongue elongated and wrapped itself around the Pomeranian blonde's neck.
"W-what the h-h-hell?!" The boy choked out as he tried to keep his airway clear.
"Uraraka, go find the weapon!" Izuku told his partner as he tried to keep his footing.
"Are you sure you can handle this?" She asked in concern.
"I am sure! Now go!" The snake boy urged. The gravity girl looked at him for a moment before she ran off to look for their objective. Turning back to his old friend, the boy let out a gasp as Bakugo grabbed him by the tongue and swung him into the wall, causing him to let go and retract his tongue.
"Ballsy move, think you can win on your own?" Bakugo asked.
(Elsewhere)
"Whoa, so he can even stretch his tongue." Hagakure said before looking at Tsu. "His quirk is kinda like yours, Tsu." She noted.
"Yeah, but he's more snake than frog." Said girl nodded in agreement.
"He sure is quick." Sato noted.
"He's not even using his full power and he's holding his own!" Sero added.
"I wonder what else he's got." Mina mused.
(Meanwhile)
Back with the two boys, Izuku groaned as he got back up. "You let him swing you around like a rag doll." Apophis hissed.
"Don't worry. I'll get back at him." The boy muttered as he took a stance.
"How'd you know that I was gonna throw that punch?" Bakugo growled.
"I've watched you do it. You always start with a right hook." Izuku said as he swung his arms out and a serpent shot out and wrapped itself around Bakugo's leg when he blasted himself forward.
The green haired boy then pulled him in with the serpent, and then deployed his fangs before sinking them into the blonde's shoulder.
"AGH! Fuck, that hurts!" The living artillery shell yelled as he staggered backwards before he felt something go into him. Unbeknownst to him, a Tomoe wheel slowly appeared on the back of his shoulder. "What did you just do?" He questioned.
"Oh nothing, just a little parting gift that should be kicking in about 5… 4… 3… 2… 1." He said.
Bakugo let out a groan as he felt his body start to feel off, his senses becoming disoriented. "What the..?" He groaned as he stumbled around.
(Elsewhere)
Meanwhile with Ochako, she was sneaking around the floor where Erin and the weapon was, and she soon found the telekinetic sitting on an oil drum humming to herself.
"Man, this is boring. I hope I get some action soon." The girl sighed while stretching, before she stretched too far and fell off the drum, flat on her back. "Ow…" She groaned.
"Pffft!" Uraraka gasped, trying to hold in her laughter.
"Eh?" The pixie girl got out as she looked in the gravity girls direction. "Get out here! I know I heard someone trying not to laugh!" She called out.
'Wow, she had good ears.' Ochako thought with a blink as she stepped into view.
"Uraraka. Figures you'd be here." Erin said as she picked up two crates with her telekinesis. "Catch!" She yelled as she hurled them at Uraraka.
"Yikes!" The girl yelped as she dodged one crate and used her quirk in the other to hurl it back at Erin.
"Okay, you wanna tussle huh? Alright, game on!" The Irish girl said as the two girls started fighting.
(Elsewhere)
Back with Izuku and Bakugo, the Pomeranian blonde was slowly starting to fight off the effects of whatever the snake boy had done to him.
This was happening all while Izuku was using his snake techniques to keep him moving away towards a wall. The fight took them to the fifth floor the whole time.
However as Bakugo's mind started to clear, it soon became filled with one single, powerful emotion… Rage. Pure, unfiltered, unadulterated, blind rage.
"RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHH!" He roared as he charged at Izuku blindly, firing off explosions like mad.
(Elsewhere)
"Whoa! What's gotten into him?!" Kaminari asked in surprise at the unexpected display of rage.
"Yes, he's supposed to be capturing Midoriya, not killing him!" Iida added as Bakugo facepalmed Izuku into the floor and started blasting him in the face with explosions.
"It might have something to do with that bite from earlier." Momo speculated.
"Anger inducing venom, maybe?" Shoto suggested. All Might meanwhile gripped the microphone in his hand tightly.
"Young Bakugo, stop! If you keep this up, you'll kill him!" He yelled in hopes of getting through to him. Sadly, it looked like the boy was too far induced with anger to even hear him.
(Elsewhere)
Izuku groaned as he sat up and Bakugo walked towards him, his gauntlets flashing red for a second as he held his arm up.
"I'm ready for the big bang…!" He growled as he pulled a section back on his gauntlet, revealing a pin.
"Young Bakugo, stop! You'll kill him!" All Might yelled.
"Oh he'll be fine as long as he dodges!" The blonde said before pulling the pin and releasing a massive explosion. Apophis quickly disappeared into Izuku's tracksuit and the boy tried to jump out of the way.
As the smoke cleared, the boy laid there, and the students in the observation room were soon shocked when they saw that Izuku was torn in half!
"Oh shit!" Kirishima yelled in horror. The others were pretty much in the same boat as him.
Then the unexpected happened.
Before everyone's very eyes, snakes emerged from Izuku's two halves and pulled them back together. Once that was done, the boy got up and gave Bakugo a basilisk glare that made the Pomeranian flinch.
"You have no idea how angry you jusssst made me." He hissed angrily. He soon started spinning and then transformed into his White Serpent form, his tail rattling angrily as he hissed and flashed his fangs.
"Oh for the love of..." Bakugo groaned as the snake lunged at him and grabbed him in its jaws.
(Elsewhere)
Meanwhile with the girls, Erin and Uraraka we're shaken by the blast and both tumbled to the ground on top of each other. This led to their fight soon becoming a wrestling match.
"Not how I expected this to go!" Erin growled as she was overpowered by Uraraka, the two girls' ample chests becoming rather… Uncomfortably close to one another during their struggle.
"I'm not complaining!" The gravity girl grinned as she wrapped some capture tape around her opponent's neck. Though as the struggle ended, they soon started to notice the rather… Provocative position they were in.
"Eep!" The two squeaked as they scrambled to their feet and looked away from each other awkwardly with blushes on their faces.
"Young Erin has been captured!" All Might announced. And next to him, Kaminari and Sero both experienced nose bleeds from what just occurred.

Izuku slammed Bakugo into a wall and then started coiling around the boy like an anaconda and slowly started squeezing the air out of him, tightening every time the blonde struggled or even breathed.
"Do you yield, Kacchan?" The snake boy hissed.
"Go… To hell… Ya damn nerd!" Bakugo struggled to say.
"Wrong. Anssssswer." Izuku hissed again, tightening his hold. Bakugo let out a yell of pain before he was forced to stop struggling, and Izuku then sprayed him with a different form of his venom: a kind that caused temporary paralysis.
"Gurhurk!" Bakugo stammered as he lost the ability to move for the time being. He was then dropped to the ground before Izuku wrapped some capture tape around his neck.
"Young Bakugo has been captured! The Hero team wins!" All Might yelled as Izuku transformed back to normal.
"Looks like I'm the snake this time." The boy said as he knelt down to his paralyzed friend. "And I guess that makes you the rabbit." He added with a smirk.
Bakugo could only lie there, unable to move due to the venom. And on his shoulder, the mark Izuku gave him seemed to pulse with an ember-like glow, as it fed on the boy's anger towards his old friend's victory over him.
Dragon Emperor0: And Izuku just gave Bakugo a curse mark… Yeah, not sure that was the best idea there, Izzy.
ThermalsniperN7: Considering how Bakugo is, this could be the catalyst for a disaster. Let's hope not.
Dragon Emperor0: In other news, I have some good news for you guys. Since one of my other stories, Ghoul + Vampire, is two chapters away from ending you guys can expect chapters of this story to come out much quicker since I'll have one less story to write on.
ThermalsniperN7: The finale of said story is… Well, let's just say I've been looking forward to it for a good while.
