Biography:

The only son of Lord John Greystoke, a prestigious English nobleman, and his wife Alice, Lancer had the birthright of a British prince, yet his life was changed forever when he and his parents were marooned in the tropical African shore by a revolt of sailors hijacking the ship the Greystokes were in at the time. The stranded family unit was able to survive in the wild for a time, until Alice perished from illness and her distraught husband was shortly after killed by one of the jungle's many deadly denizens.

Baby John was adopted by Kala, a dominant female in a clan of wandering Mangani, large anthropoids similar to gorillas, a missing link in the evolutive chain leading to the Homo Sapiens. Having just lost her own young, Kala lovingly raised the hairless little pink animal she named 'Tarzan', despite of her male's objections. Compared to the Mangani young, Tarzan grew slowly, being the runt of the group for long, but the hardships of his upbringing eventually shaped his body into a perfect fighting machine, excelling at life in the rough rainforest environment.

As a young man, Tarzan made contact with other humans, first the members of a local tribe, and later an English expedition led by absentminded Professor Archimedes Q. Porter. Porter's daughter Jane and the enigmatic ape-man fell in love, and to protect her, Tarzan fought many enemies, from enraged Mangani to lustful suitors and greedy explorers looking to ravage the hidden riches of Africa. Many were Tarzan's adventures, taking him all across the globe as he claimed his birth heritage as a Greystoke aristocrat. However, while balancing a life between two worlds, Tarzan never was content in the modern day civilization and would return to the jungle as often as possible.

Class Skills:

Magic Resistance: D

Lancer's only known experience battling the supernatural came from his encounters with Queen Laa, sovereign of the hidden city of Opar, under the jungles of Africa. As he emerged victorious from each confrontation, the rank is not E, but still, most spells from competent Casters should work on him, and even some from living, highly skilled magi.

Presence Concealment: E-A

While not an Assassin, Tarzan could also qualify for the Class, in which case this skill would be raised to B-A. The more primal and pristine, in communion with nature, the environment is, the Skill's rank increases, while it is practically null in the context of a highly industrialized area.

Lancer may be extremely ruthless against his enemies, and is well disposed to dispatch them in a wide array of treacherous manners as long as they secure a fast and convenient way to victory. However, against enemies he recognizes as Lawful Good, Lancer will face them openly unless a Command Seal is applied to make him carry himself otherwise.

Personal Skills:

Tactics of the Hunter: A

The ability to ambush enemies and guide others in combat through the use of hunting strategy. In jungle environments, Lancer's Luck increases to A. Lancer is an expert tracker, a relentless pursuer, able to operate just as well during night as in the middle of a bright day. While not an expert cook, he can provide the Master with any sort of physical maintenance as long as they are traveling a forest. He is also skilled at setting apparently primitive but highly effective traps and ambushes.

Lancer's favored weapon of choice through his exploits were knives and arrows shot from a primitive bow, their sharp tips coated in deadly poison, which he still can use as a Heroic Spirit. This also makes him qualified for the Archer class. However, the weapon that granted him entry into the Lancer Class is a long wooden spear with a tip carved from rock, which he will always carry on himself. He is particularly skilled with it, and despite its apparent frailty, it is quite resiliant.

Expert of Many Specializations: D

While not a multiple field true prodigy, Lancer is quite apt at learning new things. He taught himself English before meeting any other human being, just by studying the books his late father had left in his cabin. Later in life, Lancer also learned archery by merely watching African natives from afar. Lancer is highly intelligent and observant, and hardly naive when it comes to the facts of both worlds; natural and 'civilized' alike.

Against common belief spread from his legend, Lancer is quite eloquent in a wide variety of human languages, but when enraged he will regress temporarily into a speech pattern that is brusque and curt, forgetting pronouns and other figures of proper grammar.

Animal Dialogue: A+

Lancer was known as the nearly undisputed leader of all animal life in the African mountain range that saw him grow into a man. He can understand and make himself understood by all manners of beasts, ranking from small arborean monkeys to rhinoceros and lions. Since he was not summoned as Rider, he lacks the Riding Skill, only being able to ride on Tantor the elephant for his Noble Phantasm. Otherwise, animals will, more often than not, obey Lancer's instructions to the letter, even at their own sacrifice.

However, communication with Phantasmal Beasts and Dragons is impossible, due partially to the conflicts Lancer had with dinosaurs while in Pellucidar.

Gorilla Warfare: A

The capacity to turn any jungle environment, no matter the era it came from or the species that built it, into favorable grounds for the development of one's campaign. Lancer was one with the African rainforest, and also fought through the jungles of South America, Indonesia, and even Pellucidar, a secret world set under the surface of the Earth.

It differs from Tactics of the Hunter in that this Skill is applied to strategy when dealing with groups of enemies, rather than capture or killing of an individual. Lancer learned military strategies from his friend, French Captain D'Arnot, and while not gifted with the Charisma Skill as such, he remains a commanding presence in a battlefield regardless. Due to the circumstances of his era, Lancer is better qualified to lead men around than he is at addressing women.

Noble Phantasm:

King of the Jungle: C

Anti-Army, up to a limit of Forty opponents.

The manifestation of Lancer's connection to the jungle. The embodiment of his status as the most popular icon for the legends and tales of the 'ape man', the noble savage.

A relatively low level Reality Marble of sorts, shifting the ground around Lancer and his enemies into a flawless duplicate of the Equatorial Africa rainforest. Lancer mounts Tantor, the mighty elephant, and rides against the enemy, leading a charge of every animal species inhabiting the Dark Africa, including gorillas and leopards, plus a battalion of brave Waziri tribesmen.

However, it must be noted that, in direct conflict against similar Reality Marbles as those belonging to Rider Iskandar, Rider Princess Celestia or even Archer EMIYA, this Noble Phantasm will lose everytime unless the opponent is very low in mana.

Servants with the Man attribute suffer a penalty of having one rank lowered in three random Parameters for the duration of the Noble Phantasm.

Summon: "My greetings. I am Tarzan of the Apes. Servant from the Lancer class. Are you my Master?"

Battle Start: (Bares teeth). "Kreegah bundolo!"

Victory: "AAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOAAAAAA!" (Pulling his head back and beating on his chest with his fists).

Defeat: "Kagoda…"

"Jane... My beloved..."

Defeat by Noble Phantasm: "Grrrrrarrrrrr!"

Noble Phantasm Activation:

(Beats his chest with his fists). "OOOOOOOHHHH-OOOOOAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

Extra Dialogue:

"Me Tarzan, you Jane. Is that what you wanted to hear? Ah, that devious laughter of yours. You only live to mock others, don't you...?" (When you have Assassin Joker).

"I... I believe I remember... Somehow, even though it shouldn't be possible. Huh, so these are the ties of the heart..." (When you have Saber Sora, Caster Donald Duck or Shielder Goofy).

(Snifs the air carefully). "Master, beware! This creature... I have felt her before, she is Death herself..." (When you have Caster Nzambi).

(Lancer just smiles, then reaches over to pat the other Servant's head). (When you have Berserker Kijyo Koyo, Avenger Lobo, Rider Fenrir, or Rider Red Hare).

Birthday: "Happy Birthday. My tribe never was one to remember or celebrate the anniversaries of births, but if this makes you happy, we'll celebrate it together."

Event: "... huh. This isn't like the Death Dance of the Mangani..."

Holy Grail: "Jane... and Korak... I'd do anything to see them again..."
