Jane

"You and Tonks looked comfy earlier." Sirius teased, as Remus came back inside headquarters. He should of known Sirius would say something.

Remus just looked at him. He sighed.

"I suspect that you put Tonks' room right across from mine on purpose." Remus questioned.

Sirius smirked. "I mean, it's convenient." He said, laughing.

Remus just stared at him.

"Oh, come off it, Moony. Have a sense of humor." Sirius scolded him.

Remus nodded.

"She's spending the night tomorrow." Sirius said.

Remus looked at his friend, this was clearly meant to imply something.

"I know." Remus said. Wondering if he should tell Sirius about their date.

Sirius looked at Remus. "I could make myself scarce."

Remus smiled at his friend, forever the wingman of the group.

"Well, tonks and I won't be here much of the evening, so technically you don't really need to do that." Remus explained.

"Well then when you guys come back." Sirius said, "but, wait. Where are you guys going? You don't have an assignment right?" Sirius questioned.

"No, we don't have an assignment. We're just going out." Remus said, trying to sound casual.

Sirius stared at him. "Are you guys going on a date, Moony?" He asked, slightly surprised.

"It's just coffee." Remus said.

"Ha, it is a fucking date" Sirius barked.

"Yes. It's a date. Are you satisfied?" Remus snapped at him.

"Oh, I'm extremely satisfied." Sirius explained. "Who exactly asked who on this date?" He continued.

"I asked." Remus admitted.

Sirius was surprised by his old friend.

"Well, I'm impressed. I didn't know if you had it in you."

"You know, I have done this before, padfoot." Remus said, amused by his friend.

"The only person I have ever seen you with was Jane though. And she asked you out first if I remember correctly." Sirius explained. "I'm assuming you've dated since then?"

Jane had been Remus' first girlfriend when he was in his 7th year.

"Yes, I dated other women after Jane." Remus explained, slightly annoyed. "I mean nothing serious has really happened but I've been with other people."

"Jane was your only actual girlfriend?" Sirius clarified.

"Pretty much. But I've been on dates still." Remus shrugged.

Sirius nodded. "I mean that's better than nothing I suppose."

Remus rolled his eyes. Sirius always interjected himself into his friends relationships.

"When was the last time?" Sirius asked.

"A few years ago." Remus said quietly. looking down at his half empty glass.

"Even more reason to have your room near Tonks'. Sirius said, gleefully. "Take advantage if it tomorrow."

"I'm not having sex with her tomorrow." remus said.

"Why on earth not,Moony?" Sirius huffed in frustration.

Remus gritted his teeth a little.

"The full moon is Sunday."

Sirius stared at his friend, looking completely and utterly dumbfounded.

"Oh for merlins sake!" Sirius growled. "That's still one of your rules?" He continued.

"Yes." Remus replied sharply.

Sirius pressed his lips together. His friend was so difficult.

"So, your telling me. You still have all those rules you had in school?" Sirius asked in disbelief.

"Pretty much." Remus said.

"Remus, tonks knows your a werewolf, why do the rules even matter in this case?" Sirius questioned.

"Because." Remus groaned. "The rules make me feel more comfortable. Okay?"

Sirius sighed extremely heavily.

"Okay,okay." Sirius said, conceding.

"And, it's a first date. I'd rather not have to worry about our non existent sex life this exact moment."

Sirius nodded. He'd take another crack at him another time.

"Better get some sleep for you big date then, huh?" Sirius teased.

Remus chuckled a little as he got up from the table.

"Goodnight, Padfoot."

"Night, Moony."
