(An: figured a little something extra was in order for this chapter. Next chapter is back to Tonks and Remus.)
Sirius Black woke up face down, gasping. One moment he had been at the ministry, the next second he had found himself here...but where was he?
Sirius sat up, looking around quickly…it looked like he was in the Hogshead, but it looked different. There was less color somehow, less dirt, less people.
But, as he scanned the room. He did see one man. Sitting at the bar, was a dark haired, familiar looking man. After all, he had seen that man sit in exactly that spot so many times, He could have picked him out of a line up. There was no mistake, it was James Potter.
"Hey, pads." James said. Offering him a hand to help him up.
"James!" Sirius yelled, getting up to hug his best friend.
"H-how are you here?" He exclaimed, looking around confused. "How am I here?" he asked, growing confused and concerned.
"Pads. You died, mate." James said gravely.
Sirius felt like a rug had been pulled out from under him.,
"But, Harry." Was all Sirius could manage to say.
James put a hand on his friends shoulder.
"He's with Dumbledore now, he'll be okay." James tried to reassure him.
"C'mon, let me fix you a drink, you look like you definitely need it." James said, beckoning his friend over to the bar.
James strode behind the bar and busied himself by fixing Sirius a tall beverage.
Sirius couldn't help but feel slightly amused with James, he looked quite out of place as a bar keep.
"Drink that." James told him, fiercely. "You're gonna need it." He said more gravely.
"I'm sorry, but I figured some moping was allowed. Since, you know. I died and all." Sirius retorted.
"And, you act like something worse than me dying happened." He continued.
James leaned back against the bar, and sighed.
"Well, I think we should be concerned." James admitted, grabbing himself a beer.
"For Harry?" Sirius asked.
"Well yes. But, no. Harry has a lot of people to support him right now. I'm worried about Remus honestly. He's doing some of his own drinking right now." James said sadly.
"B-but how do you know that?" Sirius asked confused.
"Ha, think we can't check up on people on this side?" James asked his friend, before turning around and touching a large mirror that had been sitting above the bar.
On the mirror, an image appeared on its surface.
It was Remus.
He was sitting in the kitchen of Grimmauld Place. He looked dreadfully sad and he was also drinking, just like James had suggested.
It killed Sirius to see him all alone.
"But, why's he alone?" Sirius asked.
"Tonks is still at the hospital, she'll be alright though." James explained.
"They love each other, you know." Sirius told him.
"Yeah, I've caught on to that, so hopefully Moony doesn't totally screw it up without you there." James explained.
"I hope not." Sirius said, concerned. Knowing that it was a definite possibility.
"C'mon." James motioned to the door.
"Where are we going?" Sirius asked.
"Ha. On."
Sirius just stared at him oddly. Clearly not understanding.
"Trust me, we can keep watch over everyone where we're going." James explained. "Lily is waiting." He added.
And, with that. Sirius got up and followed James out of the pub they had spent their youth in so many times.
