Phase 14: Home Siege
The four are rushing over to see a large bridge nearby with Leon contacting Hunnigan to check the status of the chopper. "Hunnigan, this is Leon. Is the chopper still coming on the way, the rain has stopped somewhat?" Leon asked.
"Well, it's coming there soon. Keep going and we will see you all safe and sound," Hunnigan said.
"Alright," Leon said. "This is the home stretch. Just a bit more and we can get out of this hellhole," Leon said.
"I want to go home soon," Ashley said as Ark grabs onto Ashley's hand to calm her down.
"Don't worry Ashley, we will make sure to keep you safe until we make it back home," Ark said as Ashley nodded her head.
"Yes, we are close. Just a bit further now," Ashley said as they crossed the bridge to see a large two-story tall lodge. Then suddenly they were being chased by a huge mob of Ganados from behind. "Oh crap, what are we going to do?" Ashley asked feeling worried.
"Gee, they are not going to give up so easily," Makoto said.
"We are going to be sandwiched at this rate. Let's get into the lodge," Leon said as the four ran towards the big building. They go inside with Leon closing the door. "That was close," Leon said.
"Leon," a familiar voice said as he tosses a bar for Leon to catch in mid-air. "Small world huh?" Luis looks on to see three more people with him. "So, you got more people huh with two lovely ladies. Speaking of lovely seems like the President's daughter came equipped with proper ballistics for the job," Luis joked as Ashley looks bothered by this.
"The lady with the ballistics has a name. It Ashley and you are?" she asked.
"Luis Sera. How about you guys?" Luis asked pointing to the others.
"I am Makoto and this is Ark. We are Leon's Partners, also I am taken by the pretty boy over there," Makoto said as Luis nods his head.
"Always had bad luck with the ladies," Luis said.
"We know you used to be a part of Umbrella. We would like to ask some questions," Ark said as Leon noticed there is a bunch of Ganados gathering outside.
"No time for questions, we got company," Leon said. "Ashley, hide upstairs," Leon said.
"Okay," Ashley said as Makoto heads upstairs as well.
"I will be covering you from above. You boys stay alive," Makoto said as Ark, Leon, and Luis draw their weapons.
"Already it's game time," Luis said as all three of them prepared to block off the entrances and doors to make the lodge more defensible. "We got weapons here, time to go nuts with this," Luis said as he loaded out his trusty Red 9 pistol along with an R870 shotgun.
Ark finds an MP5 submachine gun on the table to drop the MAC-10 to see if it has an ACOG scope and a foregrip. "This is more like it," Ark equips the weapon to be happy with it.
"I will take that auto pistol," Luis grabs the machine pistol to check it and grab the ammo for it.
Leon found a new semi-automatic shotgun called the Pentagun which is a break-action revolver shotgun. "Interesting," Leon said as he drops his old shotgun for this new one to break it up to see the revolving chamber which holds 5 rounds and comes with speed reloaders for the shells.
Makoto looks around to stock up on ammo to see an Ameli Light Machine Gun on the table which has three ammo boxes filled with 200 rounds each. "Damn, this is firepower," she said as she sets up the bipod to see a horde of Ganados. "Ashley stay tight in there. Don't come out until we have dealt with these guys," Makoto said.
"Okay, good luck," Ashley said in the closet to remain still as Makoto begins to open fire to let out a blaze of bullets to rain down onto the horde of Ganados.
"Wow, she is bringing down the fire on these guys," Leon said as he finished boarding up the points of entrance.
"I have gotten an Ameli from one of the Militia stockpiles. You can't imagine how much Saddler is gearing up for something. Something big," Luis said.
"Why would a cult need such heavy firepower?" Ark asked.
"Just in case people like you show up here in the middle of nowhere," Luis said.
"Also, he wants to use the parasite to use Ashley to take control of our president," Leon said.
"Yeah sounds like him. Using it to bring peace and order through the parasite all over the world, what a joke," Luis said.
"That is batshit insane," Makoto said on the radio.
"Well, that is pretty much on brand for him," Luis said as they hear the door getting beaten by the mob. One of the windows breaks open with Ark using his new MP5 to put several shots into the heads and chests.
Leon uses his TMP to fire into the crowds of the Ganados as Luis is blasting away enemies with his Red 9 sidearm. "Gee, what a pain," Leon said as the three men are holding their own making sure the Ganados don't get inside the lodge.
Ark tosses a frag grenade through the widow to blast apart a group of enemies. A blaze of bullets with Makoto wielding the light machine gun to cut through the hordes of enemies like cattle. "Gee, so many of them," Makoto hears the gun click to see it was empty with him reloading the gun and replacing the barrel with another one.
"Why are you stopping?" Ark asked on the radio as he switches out a fresh magazine to begin pumping rounds into incoming hordes.
"Yeah, I needed to reload. I will be pumping out rounds," Makoto said as she is gathering up bodies all over the house. "Gee, this is insane," she tosses a frag grenade to blast apart more Ganados. "Switching positions, how are you doing downstairs?" she asked on the radio.
"Trying to not be ripped to pieces here," Leon said as he is using his Pentagun breaks open the gun to slide in five shells at once. More Ganados start breaking into the first floor with the three men fending them off while dodging hits.
Ark gets hit in the back by a hammer giving him a bruise as he kicks a Ganado into a wall. "Well Yankees this is one tight squeeze we are in," Luis said as he takes a yellow pipe to knock away a few enemies away. He follows up with him using his shotgun to blast through a group of enemies.
"You alright Ark?" Leon asked as he ducks under the slash of an ax swing and kicks the Ganado across the floor crashing into a table.
"A bit roughed up but I am okay," Ark said as he dodges a slash from a Ganado. He returns the favor by kicking the Ganado to break her neck. He latches a grenade onto an enemy and kicks him out the door. The explosive went off and a bunch of bodies dropped onto the ground.
More Ganados begin to either get back up with broken necks or fleshy pieces pop out of their neck slots. "Tip for the wise. When they are like that, I hate bright lights," Luis tosses a Flashbang with the bright light killing them instantly.
"Good to know," Ark said as he kicks a nearby Ganado to knock him onto the floor. He then stomps onto his head to turn it into red paste.
Makoto hears her machine gun clicking empty to see she ran out of ammo for the gun. "Well great," Makoto said switching to her burst pistol to put the fire down onto the crowds to see them crossing inside the lower floor. "Gee, we got company. Three big guys coming our way," Makoto said as she spots three brutes with one wielding a huge hammer to smash through any barrier standing in his way.
She grabs her rifle to rapidly put rounds into one of the Brutes' heads stopping it and stunning him for a bit. Leon tosses a grenade to knock the Brute onto his back with Makoto using her R700 rifle. A few rounds to the head later, the first Brute is now dead.
"One less big guy to worry about," Makoto said as the three men head over to the stairs to see they are getting cornered.
"We need to push a bit further," Leon said as one of the Brutes with no hammer rushed it to tackle Luis to knock him towards the stair. "Luis," Leon said as he is firing his TMP pumping so many rounds to stun the monster for Ark getting Luis back onto his feet.
"Gee, I am okay. Let's get upstairs," Luis said as the three go upstairs to see Makoto fighting off a bunch of Ganados who are using ladders to get onto the second floor.
"Gee, this is crazy," Makoto said as she kicks down a ladder to put three rounds into the chest of a Ganado and shoves his Tanto dagger into his neck to crave it out.
"I will cover the stairs," Ark tosses a grenade to take out several enemies downstairs. He wields his MP5 to unleash a wave of bullets to cut through the monstrous villagers. He sees the second weaponless Brute as he tosses a flashbang to blind the beast to shoot rounds into its bullhead cutting through the head and flesh mask.
"That thing is so annoying," Leon said as he tosses a grenade down the stairs to aid Ark. The explosive takes out more enemies with Luis and Makoto knocking down ladders while taking down villagers on the second floor.
"This is coming very hectic," Luis said as he fires his shotgun to knock a villager out of a window to crash onto the ground below breaking her neck on impact.
The second Brute comes in to try grabbing Ark while he pours bullets into his head until the second Brute finally drops dead. The third Brute is roaring as he rushes up the stairs to use his hammer to swing around with everyone ducking and rolling away from the attack.
"Gee, another one. This is getting tiresome," Leon said as he looked over at Ark to nod his head. The two men go in to kick and slash at the Brute several times getting closer to the window. "Sorry, no more room service," Leon said as they both deliver a dual kick to send the huge Ganado out of the window and fall onto the ground outside.
"Cool move," Makoto said as she and Luis sweep up the rest of the enemies inside to go back downstairs to see the third Brute climb through the window.
"Gee, this guy will not quit," Leon said as they sump all their ammo into the Brute to drop him onto the floor.
Mendez contacts his forces via radio. "My flock, stop the attack. We need to focus on strengthening our position ahead. We will get them there," Chief Mendez gave his orders to make them stop. The others were surprised to see the remaining forces pulling back and going into the darkness.
"Seems like they are pulling out," Leon said as he holds onto his Silver Ghost to see if any more enemies are around. They all checked and no sign of the enemies anyway but only a pile of dead bodies scattered everywhere.
"Hey Ashley, the danger is over," Ark said as Ashley got out of the closet it give him a big hug.
"I heard all the stuff happening. Are you guys okay?" Ashley asked and Ark nodded his head.
"We are okay, we managed to push the horde back," Ark said as Ashley gives him a big warm smile.
"You knew you guys can do it," Ashley said as everyone gathered on the first floor to begin asking Luis some questions.
"So, you were part of the Umbrella's European branch. One of the members of the Europe Laboratory Six Dream Team who oversaw the development of the Nemesis Project," Leon said as Luis looks on with looks of guilt and shame.
"Yeah, that seems like a lifetime ago. Yes, I was a part of that accursed research project among other things. When I got wind of all the things Umbrella did, I got out of there as soon as possible," Luis said.
"Well, I used to work for Umbrella as a soldier but I got wind of their wrongdoings and broke free from it," Ark said as he has sympathy for Luis.
"How you managed to dodge the Raccoon Trails?" Makoto asked.
"Well after what happened in Raccoon City, I knew the gig was up and I went back to my home village within this valley. It's very close off from the rest of the world. It's pretty easy to hide here," Luis said.
"So, were you working with the Cult?" Leon asked.
"Yes, I did when I came back. Saddler and the Cult moved into the place. They wanted researchers to strengthen the Plagas and I was curious about the parasite so I joined his cause. My curiosity got the better of me and before I knew it, I was dragged into this mess. So, I got out," Luis said opening up his shirt to show off a scar where the parasite was.
"So, you got infected too?" Ashley asked.
"I was but I used my machine to remove it. We are all in a deep situation, you are all infected and I need a way out of here. I got a plan for all this but I want you to trust," Luis said as everyone nodded their heads to see after that tough fight they can trust Luis.
"Alright, what do you need?" Leon asked to see Luis has a smile feeling relieved to get a clean break for once.
"Great we are partners now. I need a line to your handler," Luis said as Leon contacts Hunnigan to let him talk with her.
"You must be Luis, what do you want?" Hunnigan asked.
"Oh my, quite the lovely voice you have there Hunnigan. I am willing to make a deal with the US government. I have something you need, a sample of the Dominant Las Plagas," Luis said for this makes Hunnigan very interested.
"Oh, this could be big. This is the offer you have for protection?" Hunnigan asked.
"Yes, I was trying to track this down and get out of here. It will be my bargaining chip toward freedom from this hellhole," Luis said.
"Okay we have a deal," Luis said as he walked away from the others.
"Glad to have a friendly face around here," Leon asked.
"Well, I will be seeing you soon. I need to find that sample, I will radio you when I need you," Luis said as he walked out of the house.
"Well, we need to keep moving. The outskirts of the village are almost there," Leon said.
"Yes, the weather has died down and you will see the helicopter within an hour or so," Hunnigan said.
"Alright, Leon out," Leon said as the four gets out of the house to continue pushing forward.
