Hello bots and cons. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Young Justice: Frontiers. In the last chapter, we see Dick Grayson who is Nightwing now following up a potential Machination lead with his girlfriend Zatanna with Artemis and Arcee as backup. Instead, they found Bludgeon who wounded Cheshire. We spend quite a bit of time focusing on some Machination branches, including the Icebox, KSI, and Atlantis.

In Atlantis, we met an Atlantean named Ala'nna who willingly joined the Machination's side who informed Ocean Master that Black Manta has been captured.

Honestly, I didn't think I'd start Their War, Our World's sequel this soon, but I'm kinda glad I was able to.

*Gotham City. 23:12 pm*

A 15-year old girl with a bob cut of black hair that partially covered her brown eyes wearing a slightly pale yellow t-shirt under a red jacket, black shorts with a white stripe, and black and white sneakers with gray socks was running from her Machination thugs were firing lasers and bullets at her. A laser blast whizzed past her, hitting part of a building. She barely evaded falling debris as she continued running. Suddenly, a bullet hit her left shoulder. "Ah!" She screamed in pain.

"You don't know what you've brought upon yourself running from us." A voice said. The girl widened her eyes as she saw a pale-skinned 30-year old man with red eyes, vampire fangs wearing a black and pink business suit with yellow lining. "You are a valuable Machination resource, more so than others."

"Get away from me!" The girl screamed.

"I'm afraid we cannot do that." The man said with a grin, his fangs bared.

"Then we'll make you leave her alone!" A new voice shouted. The man turned to see Shade, Shadowwing, and Batman standing there, determination clear on their faces. The voice belonged to Shade. "Stand down and leave her alone, Ratbat." She growled.

"Now, why do you think I'll leave alone a profitable resource?" Ratbat rhetorically asked. "She's coming back with us."

"Like hell she will." Shadowwing opened fire at Ratbat who simply stood there with a yawn as Shadowwing's laser bounced off a red shield.

"You really thought I'd come out into the open without any kind of defense?" Ratbat mocked.

"Of course we did, Ratbat. For a simple fuel auditor, we know you're really smart." Shade acknowledged. "However, you're also arrogant."

Blaster fire started raining down from above. "What?!" Ratbat shouted. Looking up, he saw a cybertronic Tiger and Panther on a roof. "Stripes! Nightstalker!"

"Long time no see, Ratbat!" Stripes grinned.

"Still sucking cars dry?" Nightstalker taunted. Ratbat growled as he proceeded to fire a blaster at the two Autobots on the roof. Stripes and Nightstalker took cover from the blaster fire while the girl was trying to find somewhere to run to, but found nothing for the moment. "Wow, did your aim get worse since coming to Earth?"

"Oh, please. You should remember that I am about profit and business, not combat." Ratbat commented. He then glared at the girl, his red eyes seemingly boring a hole into her soul. "Do not think you are safe from us." He seemingly disappeared into thin air.

When Ratbat had gone, Stripes and Nightstalker jumped down from the roof. "Everyone okay?" Stripes asked.

"We're fine, Stripes." Batman answered simply. Everyone turned their attention to the girl who was getting ready to run again. "Easy, we're not going to hurt you."

"H-How can I trust you?" The girl asked, scared.

Batman was about to answer when Shade cut him off. "Guys, she's not human. The wound she got from that bullet is gone. In fact, this may surprise you."

"What is it, Shade?" Shadowwing asked.

"This girl is a piece of Clayface." Shade answered, the girl's eyes going wide with fear from the Autobot saying that.

"How is that possible?" Batman asked in slight shock.

"My guess is Black Mask and Ratbat captured Clayface. They took a piece of him and the Machination experimented on it to grow on its own, resulting in this girl popping up. That's probably why Ratbat wants her back so bad." Shade explained. "Unfortunately, she's molecularly unstable."

"P-Please don't hurt me…" The girl started tearing up.

Shade walked over to her. "Don't worry. We won't hurt you. Do you have a name?"

The girl sniffled. "I took the name Annie."

"Well, Annie, we're gonna help you. First things first, we have to get out of this part of the city." Shade said.

Just then, a low rumbling was heard. Stripes and Shadowwing looked down the street, seeing a gray and blue Western Star 4900SF Tow Truck was on the road, seemingly staring down the group. "Pummel…" Stripes breathed.

"We gotta go, now!" Shade shouted, transforming to her Batmobile mode. Batman hopped into his own Batmobile while Annie entered Shade. Nightstalker and Stripes joined her while Shadowwing took to the air. They then made their way to their destination.

"You can't escape, Autobots!" Pummel shouted as he drove towards the group at high speed. An A-4 Pulsar Cannon popped out of the top of Pummel's vehicle mode and fired an explosive projectile, forcing Shade to swerve out of the way hard as it exploded right in front of her.

"Scrap! That was too close!" Shade cursed.

"You think that's all I got?!" Pummel taunted as the A-4 Pulsar Cannon retracted and in its place was a Thermo Rocket Cannon that immediately fired, making another explosion, but this one in front of the dark knight. Batman maneuvered expertly and unleashed an oil slick to try and slow Pummel down, but the Decepticon merely transformed to robot mode, the tow cable attaching to the back, and jumped over the oil slick. Just as he reached over the oil, Pummel quickly transformed back into vehicle mode, continuing his pursuit.

"Oh, no…" Shadowwing groaned, watching Pummel from her position "Is it me or did Pummel get smarter? On Cybertron, he would've gone head-on into that!"

"Don't care about that right now, we have to lose him!" Shade shouted. "Batman, you still got a flashbang?"

"Yes. I think I know what you're thinking, Shade." Batman replied. He and Shade drove close together and unloaded one flashbang grenade each from the back compartments right into Pummel's path. Both flashbangs went off, causing Pummel to stop abruptly. When the light died down, the group were nowhere in sight.

Pummel sighed in great frustration. "Another time, Autobots. It may have been five years since my comrades lost the Andromedome, but that was only the beginning."

*Nevada Wilderness. Venomsting's Laboratory. 00:45 am*

Venomsting was currently working quietly as Dr. Desmond was on another recruitment mission, so it was just her and her four comrades. Suddenly, a ground bridge opened up and revealed the Reach Scientist walked through alone. Venomsting exited her quarters to greet her guest. "Ah, you must be the top Reach Scientist."

"I am. You must be Venomsting, the top Decepticon scientist I've heard about." The Reach Scientist smiled.

"I wouldn't consider myself the top, but one of them." Venomsting allowed herself to smirk in pride. "Did your ships make the journey okay?"

"Yes, and they were mostly undetected. We are currently stationed deep in the Atlantic Ocean." The Reach Scientist grinned.

"Excellent. I must say, I am very impressed with your additive." Venomsting complimented. "However, if you want to tap into the meta-gene, I've already been working on that for five years."

"Ah. Then, perhaps if you would allow me to join you in your endeavors…" The Reach Scientist grinned.

"Of course, but first, I have something to show you. Now, I already showed this to my comrades, but we couldn't get it to activate. Maybe you can." Venomsting pressed a couple buttons and a separate compartment opened up to the right. Venomsting showed the Reach Scientist something that she immediately recognized. "Do you know what…"

The Reach Scientist cut Venomsting off as she grabbed it out of her hands. "A red scarab… Where did you get this?!"

"I found it before coming to Earth." Venomsting answered. "I tried time and time again to activate it, but nothing happened. Maybe you can do something with it."

"Venomsting, this is Reach design." The Reach Scientist said with wide eyes. "The fact that you found this could be a sign of further partnership and a boon to Reach forces. I assume you've heard of the hero Blue Beetle."

"Indeeed I have. Are you telling me that he also has one of these scarabs?" Venomsting asked.

"Yes, but Blue Beetle's scarab malfunctioned somehow and doesn't follow it's programming." The Reach Scientist lamented. "It must be rebooted."

"That may be easier said than done." Venomsting added. "He is friends with the Autobots."

"I admit it will be a little tricky, but now that the Reach have joined this Machination, we should have an easier time doing so." The Reach Scientist said. "However, if we could work together involving the Meta-gene..."

"It would be an honor." Venomsting smiled. "You will also be working with Dr. Desmond, a brilliant human mind and one of the Machination's founding members. I think you'd find his work fascinating. You will meet him when he returns from his mission."

"Very well." The Reach Scientist sighed and the two went to another part of the laboratory.

*Gotham City. Firefly & Blaze. 01:21 am*

Firefly and Blaze were just driving away from their latest heist inside a hijacked S.W.A.T Van when Blaze's red, black, and orange-yellow flamethrower pack detatched from her, transforming into robot mode, revealing itself to be a Mini-Con with a masculine figure. "How'd I do, Blowtorch?"

"Brilliantly, Blaze." Blowtorch complimented. "Firefly was right about you."

"You bet your chassis I was. Beauty, brains, and cool under fire. Ah, Radioactive phosphorous, just what we need to hopefully power our new place in this city." Firefly grinned, taking off his mask while driving. "Though, I wonder where the Bat is."

"How bout we just accept our good fortune." Blowtorch suggested. However, just as he said that, Robin and Batgirl appeared behind them on their respective cycles. "I really need to keep my mouth shut."

"We can lose em, guys." Firefly reassured. "I made a certain call to some new buddies of ours."

Robin and Batgirl along with a driverless Bat Cycle was speeding towards the two Machination members. "Alright, Batgirl. Let's do this." Robin said.

"We should be able to take down Firefly and Blaze. From what Batman told me, they don't do many operations in the field like this." Batgirl remembered. "Ready, Shadowsprint?"

"Yep. Don't forget that you got me in your little Bat-Family now." Shadowsprint reminded as the trio got closer to the van. "Alright, In a few seconds, I'll activate a pulse to shut down their vehicle." However, two black 2011 Chevy Suburban Police Vans came up behind them.

"Police reinforcements?" Robin asked, obviously a little confused.

Shadowsprint however, scanned the Decepticon symbol on the two vehicles. "Oh, no..." Chainguns popped out from the front of both vehicles and immediately opened fire on the trio. "Crankcase and Crowbar, Decepticon hunters. I was really hoping they weren't on Earth."

"Who are Crankcase and Crowbar?" Robin asked while evading enemy fire.

"They're like Blackout. They're hunters that kill Megatron's enemies without question." Shadowsprint answered. "This makes me wonder how many other Cons have arrived on this planet."

"You'll find out soon enough." Crowbar growled as he sped up ahread of the three and two compartments on both sides opened up, letting loose small mines which exploded seconds after landing on the ground. This made the trio swerve out of the way multiple times.

"Damn it!" Batgirl gritted. "They're cleaning house with us! Robin, we have to shake these guys!"

"I can't find an opening!" Robin informed. "These two are all over the place!" The trio had no choice to stave off the pursuit in order to not be pelted by enemy fire. Crankcase and Crowbar were just laughing as they caught up to Firefly anf Blaze as they drove away. Robin slammed his fist in frustration.

"Don't worry, Robin. We'll find them. We just hit a bump in the road." Batgirl reassured. "Don't forget that this Machination has been around for five years. Who knows how deeply entrenched they are."

*GBS Station, New York City. 02:12 am*

Barbara didn't know how right she really was as Gordon Godfrey and Megan Guigilone were talking live on GBS about what just happened in Gotham City. "You see, everyone? This once again showcases the League's newfound ineffectiveness: No longer able to stop a simple robbery."

"Ms. Guigilone is once again right on the money." Gordon agreed. "It seems that the Justice League have been slipping even further lately."

"How can we as normal people even walk the streets safely if we have to continue cowering in fear and the Justice League aren't able to accomplish what they should be doing, Gordon?" Megan rhetorically.

"Now, that is the question, Megan." Gordon nodded. "I just hope that one day, we can get some real heroes in our lives." Megan grinned at Gordon's words as that gave her an idea to pitch to her Machination comrades.

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Young Justice: Frontiers. We started with Gotham City where a girl named Annie was running from another of my all-time favorite Decepticons: Ratbat in his human holoform who was prevented from capturing her by Batman, Shade, Shadowwing, and two other Autobots: Stripes and Nightstalker. After fending Ratbat off, the five check on Annie, they realize that she isn't really human, but rather a piece of Clayface that broke off, courtesy of the Machination, and actually gained sentience thanks to their experimentation on it, turning into Annie. Regardless, they agree to help her. However, they have to escape another Decepticon named Pummel who gives chase. They only managed to lose Pummel with Shade and Batman deploying flashbangs.

Later on, we jumped back to Venomsting's Laboratory when the lead Reach Scientist appears via ground bridge. Something that actually bothered me was that the Reach never got names in Young Justice except for Black Beetle. If any of you have any ideas of names for the Reach scientist, ambassador, or others, please let me know. Anyway, Venomsting shows a red scarab that she found before coming to Earth, something that shocks the Reach Scientist. This leads to talking about the scarab attatched to Blue Beetle and that its malfunctioning.

We then jump back to Gotham where Firefly, Blaze, and a new Mini-Con named Blowtorch escaping with radioactive phosphorous when Robin and Batgirl give pursuit along with a brand new Autobot called Shadowsprint who assumed the form of the Bat-Cycle. However, Crankcase and Crowbar from Dark of the Moon appear behind the three heroes. They manage to distract them and help Firefly and Blaze reach their checkpoint.

Fourth of all, we see Megan Guigilone and Gordon Godfrey fostering more anti Justice-League sentiment at GBS at New York City. Both are seen working off each other rather well.

PS: Annie in this story will be the same Annie from the episode Growing Pains from the Batman:The Animated Series from the 90s, but a little older. Also, Crankcase and Crowbar will be a little different from the Dark of the Moon film. For a major change, Dark of the Moon Hatchet is not with them.
