Hello, heroes and villains. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Young Justice: Frontiers. It's been a while since I've worked on this story, but I've posted the newest chapter and started this one. The last chapter was the first flashback chapter for this story. We had a couple with Robin and Zatanna along with Kaldur and Aquaman.

*Atlantis. War Room. Ocean Master. 21:43 pm*

Ocean Master, the Machination's proxy for Atlantis was currently in a meeting with other Machination members in the new war room constructed. He wasn't the only one there as the Seacons and Ala'nna were also present. "To what do I owe the pleasure of this communique?" Ocean Master asked with a grin.

"How are the defenses faring?" T.O Morrow asked, getting to the point, but not without his signature smirk.

"They are still at 100%." Ocean Master answered. "We are ready as I can imagine the League and Autobots want to usurp me from the throne."

Ala'nna wrapped her arms around Ocean Master's body. "They never will, my king." She said lovingly. "You are the rightful ruler of our people."

"Thank you, Ala'nna. If only all our people were as loyal as you." Ocean Master turned around to smile at her before turning back to the meeting. "Anyway, Black Manta is resisting interrogation, but he should break any day now as we've been intensive with our methods."

"Good to hear." Ivo nodded. "I imagine Aquaman is still filled with rage at Atlantis being under your rightful rule."

"You'd be right. I've been king for five good years and will be forever after!" Ocean Master declared.

"So, how is Project: Oceanus faring?" Queen Bee asked, curiosity in her voice and Psimon at her side.

"Dr. Desmond is very close to combining Atlantean DNA with his Genomorphs to make a new creation. Meanwhile, Venomsting is able to merge our DNA with a Decepticon Protoform to create a techno-organic organism." Ocean Master explained. "However, on our end, what my scientists have done with the strange starfish creature we have are experimenting with it to make another new type of soldier."

"A new type of soldier… Very interesting." Joshua put a hand to his chin, clearly interested. "As much as I would like to see Atlantis for myself, I'm more needed at my company."

"I'm not insulted, Mr. Joyce." Ocean Master waved off before regaining his serious composure. "We do have to be vigilant. My brother is determined to take my throne from me."

"Don't worry. We learned from our mistake with Vertigo five years ago." Admiral Hook grimaced at that memory. He'd gotten a bit of a makeover in the past five years. His mechanical arm had been modified with Cybertronian technology and could now transform into more than a cannon or hook. He also now carried an Energy Pistol underneath his coat. Not only that, but he also had grown a little bit of a beard.

"Indeed. He deserved to be frozen and flayed." Killer Frost growled, showing off a sadistic smirk and ice forming in her hand.

"Easy, Frost. Vertigo's fate has yet to be decided. The Machination doesn't like having any loose ends." Dr. Desmond commented.

"Perhaps I should finish off that useless meatbag." Red Volcano cut in as he was in the meeting as well.

"Easy, Red Volcano. Rest assured, you'll get your chance for battle." T.O Morrow reassured. "In the meantime, we should use the distraction that we have planned in Detroit City to our advantage."

"Oh, it won't help the Justice League in any sense." Megan chuckled darkly.

*Ivy Island. 500 Miles from Indonesia. Machination Base. 23:39 pm*

It was near midnight on Ivy Island. About a month had passed since Bludgeon had encountered Nightwing and the Decepticons had quite a few new members arrive on Earth. The first two were Ramjet and Dirge, two Seekers who both took the form of modified VTOL Jets. Next was a female Insecticon named Glowstrike who adopted the form of a Firefly. Then, there was also the scientist Simacore and his two Mini-Cons: Axiom and Theorem. Finally, there was Hailstorm who was another heavy hitter on the ground.

They were all stationed in this base for now until the right time came. "I'm gettin bored being cooped up here." Dirge complained.

"We'll see action soon enough, Dirge." Ramjet reassured his fellow Conehead. "Though, I do agree with you completely."

"Do you two ever shut up?!" Hailstorm shouted at the two Coneheads. "For spark's sake, I just want to blow some stuff up!"

"I feel you'll get your chance very soon, Hailstorm." Glowstrike just rolled her optics.

*Detroit City. 01:23 am*

It was a quiet night in Detroit City, Michigan. Most people were asleep while some were actually still awake in the city either working or having fun. What they didn't notice were Firefly, Blaze, Flamewerx, Swelter, and Blowtorch underground planting a bomb near a highly flammable area as they were certain it would cause a chain reaction. "I still can't believe that this is just a distraction." Blaze commented.

"Believe it, babe. We've been steps ahead of Bats and his friends for five years and we're not about to stop now." Firefly grinned.

"Firefly's right. We have to keep this going." Swelter added in. "Good thing we had a guide for down here." Just then, a 23-year old man with yellow eyes, short green hair, a solid gold earring on the left ear wearing torn blue jeans, a torn black t-shirt, and a special flame sigil on the center of his chest. He also had twin gauntlets on both arms and jet boosters on his legs. "Thanks for showing us the way, Nitro."

"No problem, Swelter." Nitro grinned. "Anything to get off the streets of this pitiful city."

"Well, here we go. The device is primed and the time is set. Let's get out of here before it blows." Flamewerx advised. With that, the group made their way out of the area.

Needless to say, it didn't take long for the device to go off and an explosion underground rocked Detroit. The ground shook as people took cover, not knowing where the explosion came from until suddenly, one of the many buildings in Detroit caught on fire and was lit up like a fireworks display. People quickly became frightened and began running away from the flames, but some parts of the ground opened up and some people fell in, screaming as they did. A couple of low lying buildings fell to the cracked ground like dominoes.

That wasn't the worst of it, though. A Genomorph creature with red eyes, gray and burnt orange skin with long sharp claws, jagged teeth, and a temper that seemed to be eating flames and manifesting them from its body appeared through a ground bridge and it wasn't alone. They screeched at people who were fleeing from the destruction. It didn't take long for people to start getting grabbed and dragged through a ground bridge to who knows where. Sounds of fire and crackling rocks could be heard all over the now burning city. Screams of terrified people were also heard throughout the night.

*Happy Harbor. Mount Justice. 02:00 am*

Alarms were going off like crazy in the mountain. The Team and Autobots currently present rushed to the main lobby to check in with the League and other heroes around the globe. "What the hell's going on?!" Conner asked.

Dick booted up the computers and checked the news. The headline they saw shocked them greatly. "DETROIT CITY BOMBED! ASSAILANTS UNKNOWN AND AT LARGE!" "Oh my God…" He breathed.

"The Machination…" Blurr clenched his fists. "It's gotta be them."

"Who else could it be now that the Light's out of the picture?" Artemis sarcastically asked.

Just then, the League members popped up via holograms. "I'm assuming you all are looking at the same thing we all are right now." Flash correctly guessed.

"How could we not?" Wally growled.

"One thing I can be certain of is that Megan Guigilone is going to have a frickin field day with this one." Green Arrow commented.

"It doesn't matter. We have to help people. That's what we do." Superman said with a determined expression.

"Exactly! People are hurt and probably dying right now! We can't sit and do nothing just because of bad publicity!" Wonder Woman declared passionately.

"Wonder Woman's right." M'gann smiled. "We have to help the people in that city. We're gonna need Autobot assistance."

"Then what the hell are we waiting for?! Let's get going!" Lois yelled, her Blue Lantern ring glowing. After Lois said that, ground bridges opened up and everyone went through to help the people of Detroit and stop the Machination's plans.

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked the first part of the newest chapter of Young Justice: Frontiers. This is the very first two/multi-parter of the story and won't be the last. We started off with Ocean Master and Ala'nna in the new war room in a meeting with other Machination members. We also get introduced to a new Machination project named Oceanus.

Meanwhile, in Detroit, Firefly, Blaze, Swelter, Flamewerx, and Blowtorch are present with a new member: Nitro who has helped them plant their explosive device underground. Soon enough, Detroit is bombed and many people are wounded and/or die.

I am incorporating Glowstrike, Simacore, and his two Mini-Cons Axiom and Theorem from RID 2015 for this story. I'm also using Hailstorm from the 2010 toyline. I also brought in Ramjet and Dirge from the G1 cartoon.

Back in Happy Harbor, the team and all Autobots present there see the news and are shocked as well as appalled at the Machination's actions. Not only that, but the Justice League also knows about it. Despite knowing their image will probably be smeared, they're still gonna help people. With that, the heroes head out to Detroit City, Michigan.
