CHAPTER 4
(The Beginning of The End)
Approximately 10 years later…
The life of Harry and Elijah had been great even since the day that they visited Gringotts and that Elijah had adopted Harry. They had been closer through the years they had spent together living in a mansion Elijah had bought ten (10) years ago. The Mansion is anything but mediocre, with its immaculate walls that has grayish marbling effect, and brown flooring that shined to perfection. In addition, the mansion has a wide garden, a fountain, and the most striking feature is the wraparound porch at the second floor. The size of the mansion is at its finest in Elijah's eyes, and the price? Well, he's a Mikaelson. He did not need to worry about that.
Through the years, Harry had also grown into a wonderful, cunning, young boy. He had been interested in books, just like his adoptive father. He also has a depth in music, much to Elijah's delight, the most outstanding instrument he can play is a violin that Elijah had. However, Harry's talents did not just confine around those things, as he had exhibited accidental magic in his early childhood. He had blasted a glass from the living room and the couch set to fire from his little magic outburst. He also had thrown Elijah a few meters away when he had his biggest tantrum.
The frequency of his outburst had been uncontrollable so Elijah had resulted in consulting a witch to help Harry. The witch however, had sworn to secrecy that she will not reveal an ounce of information to anyone. If there is one thing that Elijah had learned through his millennia of existence, is that witches have their prices. He could have just compelled the witch, but much to his dismay, he can't. Luckily, swaying the witch wasn't that hard, as the witch had known Harry's mother while they were in Hogwarts, and the best thing is that, the witch (Elara) is very well versed in magic, enough to help Harry until he attends Hogwarts.
The lessons of Harry had intensified over the years. Ranging reading basic theories regarding spell casting and history. The practical, however, did not start until they discovered that Harry had an affinity in wandless magic. The matter had shocked Elara a little but half expected it to be that way. She did now a thing or two about the secrets of the Potter Family. And one thing is for sure, powerful mages is one of them. Elara vaguely remembered overhearing two (2) Noble Houses talking about it at Diagon Alley when she was visiting.
All those aside, the began Harry's practical lesson with basic spell casting and transfiguration. Harry's skill in spell casting is by far greater that what anyone had expected, which added to his impeccable talent in transfiguration, a skill obviously inherited from the Potter line. Potions on the other hand had surprisingly turned out for the best. And that, Elara assumed, Harry had got from Lily.
Books after books, Harry soaked up like a sponge, ranging from the most basic to the most complicated things Elara saw fit and appropriate for Harry to learn. Harry's training benefited him greatly in controlling his magic. Adding up to that, Elara had also taught Harry basic occlumency, and how to fend off his mind from any mental intrusion. Harrys did however, struggled quite a bit, but eventually managed to successfully learn it. Luckily, Harry is a fast learner, as Elara had left them shortly after Harry's 10th Birthday.
Now, Elijah is currently sitting on the living room of their mansion, waiting for Harry to came down for breakfast and start the day by opening his present as it is his birthday. It wasn't long before Harry came walking down the stairs, a little bit dead on his feet. The lad then proceeded to walk towards where his father is residing, and plopped down next to him, on his merry way to go back sleeping. Deciding to humor the son he had come to love throughout the years, Elijah picked Harry up and sat him on his lap, then started tickling the unsuspicious young boy. The latter then shrieked as his father hit the right ticklish spot. Harry tried to pry his father's grip on him, but terribly failed to no vein. Surely, he should have known that it was no use, even if he tried to physically pry his father's hand so hard, he would barely make any changes. A few moments passed, and Harry felt tears on his eyes, trying to survive the tickle his father is making. He was almost ready to surrender, when an idea popped up in his mind. And a little sly at that, but rather funny. Harry mustered up the right amount of energy, manipulating it to turn his father's hair pink, which did work, resulting in Elijah stopping for a minute as he felt something cool on his head. Realizing that his son had turned his hair pink again, he continued tickling him. Who cares anyway? It's just the two of them. rather, it was one of the ways he can think of to cherish what he has with his son, especially now that he's starting school.
"S-stop, Dad, plea-skk-se" Harry choked out, trying as hard as he can to speak. Sensing the slight discomfort, Elijah stopped tickling his son, laughing as he did so. Elijah then looked at Harry, who in turn glared at him. Elijah's response however did melt the glare Harry gave into a soft smile as he ruffled his son's hair. "Happy Birthday, Harry. My son."
"Thanks, Dad…" Harry said, beaming at his father. His father then planted a kiss on his forehead before blurring away, only to return seconds later, carrying a package that was wrapped in a small red ribbon. Harry watched as his father open the package, revealing a beautiful silver necklace, shining at its finest. The thing that really caught Harry's attention though is the pendant. The pendant is silver, much like the necklace is, but what stood out the most is the engravement of what looks to be a crest. The crest was that an embroidered letter 'M' with intricate designs around it, with the distinct feeling of magic humming (In Harry's senses). His father then proceeded to open the lock of the necklace, beckoning Harry to turn around so that he can put it on him. The necklace settled with Harry's neck perfectly, shing every so often.
"Thanks again, Dad. But you didn't have to…" was all Harry could tell, as by judging the appearance of the gift, it costs a fortune.
Elijah in return just looked at his son dismissively, setting to box at the nearby table, and bringing Harry in a hug. "You are my son, by magic, and by blood. You are my Everything, you have every right to receive such gift. I have more than enough money to last us both a lifetime, what more than to spend it on my only son?" was Elijah's words, kissing Harry's forehead.
The two stayed like that for what seemed forever, both wishing that things won't change and they could stay like that forever. A noise beneath them caught the attention of the two. Harry and Elijah looked down to see two snakes hissing. Both snakes had been Elijah's gift for Harry's sixth (6th) birthday, having discovered that Harry could talk to snakes when he saw a black house snake from the corner of the kitchen. So, when Elijah had the fortune to came across it in a magical pet named "Magical Menagerie" at Diagon Alley, he had purchased it immediately. The seller had told him Elijah that the two snakes were twins, magical of course, and that they have the ability to stay small or turn large when they wish to as they grow older. When Harry saw the snakes, he had been so delighted, finally having someone to talk to except for his ancient father. The twin vipers were named Selena and Lilith. Selena has a rare blue scale, the hues or her color ranges from light blue to dark blue that seems to glow when exposed to sun. Selena also has a beautiful green eye in resemblance of her owner. Lilith on the other hand is color green, with shades ranging from different shades of green with an eye similar to the coloring of her twin sister.
"ss-Good morning, Harry, Daddy Elijah" both the snakes hissed, slithering up on the cough Harry and Elijah is in to. Both snakes ignored the grimace Harry made at the endearment of his father. Selena went for Harry while Lilith went to Elijah, both coiling to the clothing of the two. Harry started petting Selena while Elijah stroked the other snake. The snakes had been a part of Harry and Elijah's life since the day they arrived.
"Do you by any chance have a plan for the day, Harry?" Elijah asked his son, still stroking the purring Lilith. He'd assumed that both reptiles had taken an insane obsession of him, he just wish that Lilith would keep her inappropriate reactions to herself rather than share it with his innocent son.
"Nothing, Dad. A trip to Diagon Alley would be great however. If you are not busy?" Harry said. Elijah just smiled at his son's politeness; he had truly raised a wonderful child.
The clueless little boy he had picked up from the doorstep, abandoned by the so called Albus Dumbledore, condemned to have been in a life full of misery. Elijah had done so much just to ensure the well-being of the child. The scar that he tried to heal, hard as he might, but still failed, he was a vampire for crying out loud. But it did not stop him from seeking healers-after-healers. And after all these years, he still could not remove the scar—a living proof of the hollow's eve. In terms of condition with Harry's vision, Elijah did find a solution, but that would not be happening until Harry's of age. Luckily, according to Bloodrean, the blood adoption did a little wonder in Harry's eyes. Harry can see without his glasses, but not those a little far from him.
But most importantly, Elijah never hid his past from his son. He had explained all that he is and what he came to be, including the family he had left behind. At first, Elijah was rather anxious that Harry's affection with him would change in the slightest, but it never did. He stayed the sweet little boy that always wants to be with him. And now, that boy just turned 11, ready to start his Hogwarts life. He just wished he had more time.
Now finds the two at the dining table, waiting for their breakfast to be served by their cook, Tiberias. Harry would always ask the man to eat with them, but the latter would always politely decline. But alas, today was a special day. Tiberias walked in, carrying plates of foods; sausages, eggs, toast. "Mr. Tibe, eat with us please?" Harry asked, plastering a puppy dog eyes—irresistible if you ask Elijah—the man would have declined if not for Harry following up his pleading. "I'd be leaving for Hogwarts soon… and you won't be cooking for me anymore…" he said, again with those eyes. It would have been a bit easier if not for those striking emerald orbs. When Tiberias saw moist well up in Harry's eyes, he just had to give in. Tiberias sighed in defeat, making Elijah smile. Harry can be quite persuasive.
The three dug in to the food, Tiberias casually talking to Elijah, Harry cutting in very often. Tiberias remembered that day, just as the other two does. About a week ago, an owl had swooped in while Tiberias was serving them their food.
Flashback
Tiberias was serving their meal, when an owl swooped in, dropping a white envelope in front of Harry. Harry picked it up, inspecting it, and noticing the marron seal and the Hogwarts' seal on it.

Harry then looked at his father, smiling happily. Opening it up, he read;

Flashback ends
Harry and Elijah had not kept their identity a secret to Tiberias. They had told him what they are, while also being vague about it. Tiberias had been shocked at first, as he certainly did not expect what they are after years of being with them. He had come to senses after a few day however.
The three continued eating in silence, when Elijah broke it. "That reminds me, Harry. Have you sent your owl of confirmation to the Deputy Headmistress?" Elijah asked. "Not yet Dad. I'll send it later in the afternoon." Harry replied, earning a smile from his father.
After they had finished up, Harry had gone back to his room to prepare. He and his father had agreed to go to Diagon Alley. They were going to visit Gringotts, before going shopping for Harry's school supplies, and if Elijah can find a fitting additional gift for Harry.
An hour had passed and Harry is finishing up wearing his clothes. He wore a dark blue trouser, paired with a greenish polo shirt. He was tying his shoes when his father knocked before going inside, striding until he reaches Harry. While Harry wore a casual clothing, Elijah wears his infamous suit. Navy trousers, white inner, and a navy tuxedo, finished with leader shoes and necktie. Elijah then inspects Harry's outfit, fixing the collar before nodding in satisfaction. When Elijah was sure that Harry is finally ready, he took out a galleon, offering it for Harry to hold on before uttering the proper words to activate the portkey. With a muttered 'Vikings' they disappeared.
A/N: I am very sorry for the late update. I had been busy with school works the past few weeks and we just finished our practical research a week ago. And now I found some time to write.
I also had a couple of ideas on what this will lead to, but it's still subjective.
Ps. I had planned to make this chapter far longer, but just resulted in cutting it here. I promise I'd make the next update compensates for the lateness of my update. TY!
