A.N. Sorry about the long hiatus. Been through a lot lately. I do not own Doctor Who or Inuyasha.
Suspended in space just outside the TARDIS, Kagome smiled, the sensation and sight something utterly amazing to her, though the sensation of floating made her remember a little too much. "It's beautiful, Doctor."
As if sensing her impending melancholy, the Doctor pulled her back in and smiled warmly. "It is! But enough of that. Where to, when to? I could take you to galaxies you've never dreamed of or take a jaunt with you through history."
Pursing her lips, the priestess looked thoughtful a beat. "I want to see where you're from, Doctor. If it's possible."
Face falling a moment, the Doctor simply looked away. "Not possible. Oh, but I can show you all about a curious race that might be part of the origin to your 'youkai'. Or maybe the other way around, still guessing. Care to come with me? I'll have to get you properly attired first though," he added in afterthought, eying her jeans and sweater.
"A suit?" Kagome guessed, her eyes dancing.
"Not a bad idea, but not this time. In fact, I think it might be better to take a page from your history." That smile was almost unnerving in brightness.

"May I present to you, the planet Draconia, a planet that is advanced, yet reflects a certain…. Old world aesthetic." The Doctor was beaming as he showed his new companion the view, admiring the curved buildings devoid of straight edges and the reptilian people walking about in a garb that would have seemed closer to being in fashion in the feudal era.
Kagome did not step out fully though, the way her senses tingled letting her know she was among something familiar. Too familiar in fact. She felt her hands beginning to shake and she shook her head. "Doctor, I'm sorry, I…"
Grin slipping, the man frowned at her and then at the planet. "Another time, perhaps." He stepped back in and silently began to move the controls to take them away.
Guilt settled in Kagome's stomach as she glanced at his back, tense and slightly hunched. "I'm sorry," she repeated.
"No, you're fantastic. Let's just find somewhere new…" The Doctor looked thoughtful.
Smiling at his concern, Kagome walked forward and rested her hand atop his. "It doesn't have to be anywhere extravagant."
"Oh, I know, let's take a little trip to the planet Asgard!"
