Chapter 11-The Mysterious Rain Shelter! Espurr is Watching!
It was fine day until a rainstorm came down and heroes got soaked.
"It's freezing," Ash exclaimed.
"We're getting soaked," Serena added.
"My hair," Rarity complains.
"Let's duck in there," Zane said looking at the house.
"Uh, Dedenne stay still," Bonnie requested for her Pokémon to stay in her bag.
"Talk about it unexpected," Sunset exclaimed while she and the girls ringed out their hair.
"Man, what a storm," Rainbow said seeing the storm.
"It came so suddenly," Clemont said.
"I hate thunder," Bonnie admitted.
"So do I," Fluttershy agreed.
As on cue a strike of thunder came down causing both of them startled them and Bonnie back into a door and saw that's it was open.
"Let's ask if we can stay in here until it stops raining," Ash suggested.
"Guys the door's open," Bonnie said as she went in.
"Bonnie you can't just go in there," Applejack exclaimed.
"Anybody home?" Bonnie asked. "Hello, can we stay until raining?"
"Excuse us," Rainbow knocked on the door.
"Is anybody here?" Serena asked.
Little did they know a Pokémon was watching from above.
As our heroes continue their journey to Cyallage City and Ash' second Kalos Gym battle. They find themselves caught in a heavy thunderstorm.
"Is anybody in here?" Ash asked.
"Pika?" His partner did the same.
"Hello?" Jaden asked.
"Sorry to bother you," Applejack said.
"Seems totally deserted," Rainbow said.
"The exterior is pretty bad shape, so maybe nobody lives here anymore," Jaden said.
"Hey, why don't we stay here for a while?" Pinkie suggested.
"I guess."
"Maybe but this place gives me the creeps," Serena said.
"Me, too," Ash added.
"It's better than getting wet," Rainbow reminded them of the thunderstorm.
"I think it feels creepy because there's no light," Jaden explained as he dusted one of the lamps off. "Looks like it still works."
Then the lights came on.
"Thanks for the lights, Jaden," Twilight thanks him.
"Uh, I didn't turn them on."
"So then…"
"Who did?" Fluttershy asked.
"Very strange," Pinkie said.
"Maybe the house sensors came on the moment we came in," Clemont said.
"Sensors?" Rainbow asked.
"Yeah, that's why the lights came on so suddenly, this may be an old house but have the latest technology."
"Well that makes sense," "Twilight and Espeon smiled.
"Or maybe we're inside a haunted house," Serena said making Twilight and her Espeon shiver. "Did I say that?"
"You did, maybe we should wait outside unit the passes," Applejack said.
"Good idea," Zane agreed the doors closed shut.
"What happened?" Rarity said as went to the door and tried open it. "Drat, it's not opening."
"But it was just open a minute ago," Bonnie said.
"It must have been the motion detectors, locking the door after being open for a while."
"Why is it still locked?" Serena asked.
"Let me think…"
"Maybe this is a haunted mansion that grabs people and then eats them."
Both Fluttershy holds Lunatone tightly after hearing that.
"What did I say that!?"
"Wait, you should never trust anything that can't be explained with science," Clemont said. "This a huge mansion so that means there is another way to get out here."
"Yep your right, let's find it," Ash exclaimed as everyone looked for a way out.
Meanwhile outside the mansion.
"It's a downpour."
"And it happens to rain on us."
"I hate when that happens." Jessie, James, and Aria exclaimed as Team Rocket was running from the storm and ducked underneath the trees.
"Hey, guys look," Duke said as he pointed to the house. "There a good chance it's not raining in there."
"But what if someone is in there?" Clyde asked.
"Then I'll keep them company," Adagio said the run ahead.
"We're company too."
Team Rocket reached the house.
"Open the door," Aria knocked on the door.
"This house creep factor is on ten," James said.
"And that a bad thing," Jessie said. "It can keep away the rift raft and make this our Kalos frontline hideaway."
"Wait a sec, I thought we were getting out of the rain," Sonata wondered then the window open up.
"Ahh, it's an automated window," Jessie exclaimed as she and the girls climb in.
"It old house like this?" Meowth asked.
"Meowth's right," Duke added. "Wait for us."
Then all of them got inside and looked around.
"Judging by the looks of it this place has been abandoned forever," Adagio said.
"Longer," Clyde added then the window shut.
"There must be a light switch around here," Aria said then the lights came on.
"Oh thanks for the lights, Sonata," James thanked her.
"I didn't do that," Sonata shook her head. "Maybe the whole place is automated?"
"The whole place?!" James exclaimed.
"I don't know about you dudes, but I got a bad feeling about this place," Duke said.
"You're not the only one," Sonata and the guys agreed with him.
"Let's make sure we have a way out," Clyde suggested.
"Word up," Meowth agreed with him.
Clyde tried to open the window but it was locked.
"This thing it locked shut!" Clyde yelled.
With Ash and the others
Ash, Rarity, Serena, Fluttershy, and Clemont screamed as the lightning bolts came down.
"Uh, guys it's just a painting," Sunset reminded them.
"Oh, right," Clemont was relieved. "It's a portrait."
"Maybe she owns the place?" Ash asked.
"Maybe she's not alive, but she's here anyway if you know what I mean," Serena said then Sunset had a nervous look at her. "Whoops. Did I say that?"

"Did anyone else hear that?" Jessie asked.
"Yeah, loud and clear," Adagio replied.
"I'm so through with this place," Aria exclaimed then called out Croagunk. "Smash the window with Brick Break!"
Croagunk responded and used its tough fists and tried to smash it but didn't break.
"Don't let up, keep going."
The Toxic Mouth Pokémon continue but to no avail, with our heroes her Aria's Croagunk banging on the wall.
"Anybody hears that?" Ash asked.
"It must be a grandfather clock ticking away nothing more," Clemont explained.
"Or maybe someone's pounds a stake, "Pinkie said.
"How come?" Bonnie asked.
"To stop a vampire."
Then Rarity and Serena hold each other.
…
"Aah!" Team Rocket screamed as they saw the painting.
"Wait a sec, it's only a portrait painting," Aria exclaimed.
"Next time tell me before I scream," Jessie shouted.
"Did its eyes move just now," James said.
Our heroes, all of them heard Team Rocket's scream.
"What was that?!" Rarity asked.
"Like I just said, this is an old mansion, so it's really drafty, the draft sounds like a whistle and the whistle sounds like a person's scream which is quite common."
"You're wrong, there is no doubt in my mind that somebody was screaming."
"Rarity's right," Serena said with her. "We're not the only ones in this place."
…
"We need to get the heck out of this place, right now," Jessie exclaimed as Team Rocket moved slowly.
"I thought you wanted to make this our hideout?" Adagio asked.
"I lied."
Team Rocket then saw something.
"Any idea what's that," Duke said as the figure threw something at them making Team Rocket run away.
"Whatever that it had shiny eyes," Jessie shrieked.
"Well, I'm sticking around to find what it just threw as us!" Duke exclaimed.
"That was no Pokéball and I'm no Pokémon!" Sonata said scared.
"But I am!" Meowth reminded her.
"Another scream," Serena exclaimed.
"Let's find a way out of here," Zane exclaimed then figure from right in front of them then floated away.
"Hey," Bonnie rammed toward it's.
"Wait for us," Clemont said as they followed her.
"Stop," Both Bonnie and Pinkie chased after it and turn the corner when Ash others arrived they were gone.
"Where did they go?" Fluttershy asked.
"I don't see them," Twilight said.
"Bonnie! Pinkie! Where are you?" Sunset called for them.

"Is someone calling us?" Jessie asked as Team Rocket was hiding in a bedroom.
"It probably what's ever haunting the place," Meowth explained.
"Now that you mention it, it does look haunted?" Clyde asked.
"Keep your crazy ideas to yourself," Aria yelled at him.
…
"Both of them have to around somewhere?" Ash wondered as Jaden screamed out loud that Team Rocket held in each other in fear.
"What was that for?" Applejack asked.
"Did you see something?" Serena asked.
"I figured it out, there must be a psychic or ghost-type Pokémon in the mansion, Jaden explained. "That's why the lights came on and the doors closed by themselves."
"You think a Pokémon did this?" Rarity asked.
"That would explain all the weird stuff and that thing we saw was actually a Pokémon," Sunset explained.
"A Pokémon?" Ash asked.
"Pika?"
"I guess the doors and windows wouldn't open up because that Pokémon probably doesn't want us to leave just yet."
"But why?"
"I don't know."
Bonnie and Pinkie saw the Pokémon.

Adagio opened her eyes and gasped.
"Looks we been haunted by the Twerps," Adagio exclaimed. "Never do that again."
"So you guys were behind all this," Rainbow exclaimed.
"Behind what?" Aria snapped at her.
"All the weird stuff, you dress up like ghosts."
"We didn't do anything," Clyde said.
"We borrow these table cloths because we were cold and soaked to the skin," Sonata explained.
"Okay, what did you do with Bonnie and Pinkie?" Twilight asked.
"Huh, you lost me," Jessie admit.
"Save it, first let's get it out of here."
Then a loud thud came.
"Something just went bump in the night."
"Wonder what it was?" Ash asked.
"Looks likes we got visitors!" All of them scream. "We're outta here!"

Meanwhile, the Pokémon led Bonnie, Pinkie, and Dedenne to the portrait they saw before.
"That's the same painting," Pinkie exclaimed then Ash and the others caught up.
"Are you guys okay?" Serena asked them.
"Never been better," Pinkie replied. "Sorry for making you worry, we only playing with that Pokémon."
Applejack took out her Pokédex and scan it.
Espurr, The Restraint Pokémon. It has enough psychic energy to blast everything within 300 feet of itself, but no control over its power.
"I knew it," Jaden exclaimed.
Espurr used its psychic power and hold up the pedant it was wearing and explained.
"It trying to tell me something but I can understand it," Bonnie pouted.
"We were too panicked to think, but now it makes sense," Adagio said as Team Rocket entered the room.
"Team Rocket," Ash exclaimed.
"Let's put a pin on it that," Aria suggested. "None of us are getting out here unless we figure out what Espurr wants from us."
"Both of them are right," Jessie agreed. "Translate please?"
"Basically, Espurr says it wants us to return the pedant to its lady in the painting," Meowth explained.
Espurr kept talking.
"It says she really took care of Espurr…it came to return her the necklace but she nowhere to be found."
"I see," Ash understand. "So it's been waiting for her."
"All this time," Sunset added.
"She must have really liked you if she gave to that pedant," Rainbow said.
"Espurr, Espurr."
"But now, Espurr wants to find out where the old lady went."
"I'm afraid any of us doesn't know where she is," Zane explained. "But maybe we could find out."
"Your right, Zane, we could try."
"That's a great idea."
"I'm afraid we don't have time for this," Jessie said.
"We know the quickest way," Meowth added.
"And that to catch Esupurr," Duke explained as he and Clyde armed their Pokéball.
"What are doing!" Ash exclaimed.
"Now Slugma let's go!" Duke shouted.
"Slumga."
"Now Mangnemite!" Clyde called his Pokémon as Jessie called for Pumpkboo.
"Now Pumpkboo, use Leech Seed!"
Espurr was trapped by the Leech Seed and Couldn't move and began to drain its energy.
"Flamethrower!"
"Discharge!"
Both Slugma and Magnemtie launched their attacks at them but instead, a shield came out of nowhere.
"Impressive, it's using Protect," Zane exclaimed.
"Thank you," Bonnie thanked it.
Espurr used Psychic and broke out of the Leech Seed making Team Rocket surprised. It focuses the move on them lifting them up.
"What's going on?" Jessie asked as Espurr send them flying out of the mansion.
"Yes we're finally out there," Adagio cheered.
"True but where but where going next?" James asked.
"Anywhere but here!" Aria exclaimed.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket said as they disappear out of sight in a bright flash.
"Espurr that was great," Fluttershy exclaimed.
"You really got us out of a jam," Jaden added.
"I can't believe how powerful you are," Serena said.
Moments later a car pulled up at the front of the mansion.
"Espurr."
"Just leave finding the lady of lives her to us," Rainbow said.
"I wonder did that woman live here all by herself," Sunset wondered.
"Are you talking about my grandmother," a woman asked walking to them. "The one on the painting?"
"Why yes, she's your grandmother I had no idea," Fluttershy realized. "Does that mean you own this house?"
"I sure do, my name is Elise, a pleasure to meet you."
"Ash."
"Twilight Sparkle."
"Jaden."
"Clemont."
"Bonnie."

"Thank you, this was her favorite jewelry, this old house was scheduled to tore down some. It's pretty bad shape, so I came back to see what of kind of condition is it in. But you know what, after this, after meeting all of you. I think I changed my mind. I going to renovate this place."
"Espurr!"
"Don't worry, the painting were stay right were is. And when all finish I'm going to move in. I'll be thrill if you come and play."
Moments later…
"I'm sure you'll take good care of Espurr."
"Of course, I think Espurr and I went get along just fine."
With that Elise and Espurr drove away saying their goodbyes.
