Kalos Quest Chapter 2-Ninja Arts Showdown!
While still in the forest, the gang decides to take a small break giving Ash to chance for some Pokémon training.
"Froake, Water Pulse, let's go!" Ash said.
Froakie aims its Water Pulse at the tree which made contact.
"Yeah, that was great. Next? Pikachu, Thunderbolt, let's go!"
Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at the same tree.
"Man, those two are fired up," Rainbow said.
"Everyone's in sync," Clemont added.
"Keep it up, you guys look great!" Pinkie cheered as Sandile was snoring in her hair.
"Sabe!" Sabeleye grabbed Fluttershy's attention.
"Something wrong?" Fluttershy asked then notice someone floating in the river.
"Look! Something's floating this way!" Fluttershy warned the others.
"Wait a minute! That's Sanpei!" Rainbow said then she and Applejack dive into the to get him out. She grabbed the ninja while Applejack brought his newly evolved Greninja then Jaden used an Antidote to cure the Pokémon of its poison and gave a Sitrus Berry.
"Guys, I think he's coming around," Zane said as Sanpei started to move.
"Where's Geninja?" He asked.
"He's right behind you," Rainbow told him.
Sanpei turned and saw Greninja who starting to get his strength back.
"You two had us worried for a bit," Hilda said to him.
"Who are you?"
"Name's Hilda."
"Thanks for the help," Sanpei replied.
"So Sanpei is that..."
"Yep. My Frogadier evolved into Greninja."
"Congrats, dude," Rainbow commented. "How did Greninja got poisoned in the first place?"
"There you are," a voice suddenly called out.
Looking out at the river the same voice said.
"Ninja Water Spout,"
As the water spout appeared and a ninja wearing a Shirty masked and Barbrable appeared.
"There they are. Those two are the ones who attacked us."
"Those two."
"Indeed, and soon the Sercet Scroll will be mine. Babarable Razor Shell!"
"Lucario, Bone Rush!" Sunset called him out and two attacks clashed.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
"Marshtomp. Water Gun!"
Both attacks hit their mark, but Barbarble shrugged it off like it was nothing.
"But how?! It looks like it's fine!" Rarity said.
"It must be trained to resist electric-type attack," Zane said.
"I have no idea what's going on, but we need to get out of here! Clemont said.
"Alright. Ninja Lead Shroud!"
A tornado appeared where they were standing and before long the gang was in the nearby forest.
"Good thing we got out of there," Pinkie said.
"Who was that guy?" Ash asked.
"And what did he mean by Sercet Scroll?" Twilight added.
"He means this," The ninja pulled out a scroll. "This scroll has to be delivered, and it has to be done by sundown. That is my mission. given by Saizo sent me, he's a master ninja and my trainer too. He gave this assignment and while I was on route, that man with the Babarcle intercepted us. We tried to fight him but Greninja got poisoned by his Poison Jab."
"How horrible," Fluttershy said.
"I don't know why he's after the Secret Scroll, but I have to get it to my destination, I'd better be on my way."
"I wanna go with you."
"I appreciate the thought, but we were given the mission. We can do it ourselves."
"What do you mean? I can't leave my friends in danger," Ash told him.
"He's has a point, there's strength in numbers," Rainbow added while the others nodded.
"Kay, you can come. But promise me when things go wrong, you'll take care of yourselves first."
"You got it. Let's go."
"Wait. First things first, we need to deal with that masked ninja," Clemont spoke up.
"How do we do that?" Applejack asked.
"First, we need to distract the pursers. That's really important. This means the future is now thanks to science, Clemontic Gear, on! Presenting my latest invention, The Robo Step-by-Step! They want to use ninja techniques, so we'll use science to counterattack!"
The machine then headed off in a direction that would look like they were heading for the destination.
"We'd better get moving, there's no telling how long he realized it's not us," Hilda stated then the group headed in another direction.
After a while, Sanpei checked the map he was given.
"This is where we are. And this is the manor," He showed them the two locations.
"That means we'll have to wind around this way," Clemont pointed to a road.
"But if do that, it will already be sundown," Twilight pointed.
"We could fly," Bonnie suggested.
"I think that would not work well given the fact there's a lot of us, and if this ninja has any brains, he'll have a way of knocking our flyers out of the shy," Hilda said.
"Any shortcuts?" Rainbow asked.
"There's one, but I can't take you there. I'd worry about all of you."
"Don't worry. We can handle it."
"Then we better get moving."
"Agreed."
Taking the shortcut, the gang was walking in a cave with Sandpei leading the group.
"This cave leads to the other side."
"Great, will be there in no time!"
As they were walking they heard some chatter going on, then the gang look to see a swarm of Golbat.
"Oh no! What are they going to do?" Bonnie asked fearfully.
"We've walked into their territory, so no surprise they'll attack," Jaden said.
Then right on cue, the Golbat fired multiple Air Slashes at the group.
"Greninja, Smokescreen!"
Greninja shot out the Smokescreen that blinded the Golbat but they continued to fire off Air Slash. Once Rainbow Dash and Sunset got out of the cave, they found Sanpei, Ash, Jaden, Twilight, as well the Pokémon but Serena, Clemont, Pinkie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Hilda, and Bonnie were missing.
Something then crashed behind the group to see Barbarcle.
"Hand over the Secret Scroll at once."
"We're not handling anything!" Ash shouted.
"Hold on. Leave this to me and go find everyone else," Sanpei told Ash.
"Sorry, dude, we're not leaving you alone," Rainbow told him,
"We can win but we have to do it as a team," Jaden stated.
"Use Dobule Team!"
Froakie and Greninja clone themselves and surround Barbarcle.
"Water Shurkien!"
"Water Pulse!"
Barbleacle jumped in the air, causing the two attacks to attack each other.
"Power-Up Punch!"
"Flash Cannon!"
Lucario ran up to Barbarcle and delivered Power-Up Punch, then got out of the way of Golurk's Flash Canon which made contact.
"Keep up the pressure, with Mud Bomb!"
"Block with Razor Shell!"
Barblacle slice through the Mud Bomb with little effort then two nets appeared out of nowhere and tried to grab Pikachu and Espeon but they jumped out of the way.
"What was that?"
"More enemies?"
Looking up the cliff, everyone saw Team Rocket holding two net launchers.
"Team Rocket! What do you want this time?!"
"What other reason is there, grabbing Pikachu and Espeon," Duke said then Meowth and Sonata fired the nets again only for the masked ninja and his Bararable to slice through them.
"Out of the way, ninja brat!" Jessie shouted.
"We want them, not you. Stay out of this."
"We want Pikachu and Espeon. We don't your dumb scroll," Adagio said.
"Mienshao, teach those two a lesson," Aria called her out.
"Same as you, Excardrill," Clyde did the same.
"Block Them, with Razor Shell."
"Aura Sphere!"
The Razor Shell sends Mienshao and Excradrill back into Team Rocket then the Aura Sphere sent Team Rocket into a blastoff.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket disappeared out of sight!
"Now where were we?"
"Wait, why did you help us?" Rainbow asked him.
"I have my own reasons. Barbarble, Poison Jab!"
"Psybeam!"
Before Barbacle could use Posion Jab, Espeon used Psybeam to knock it off balance.
"Froakie, Double Team!'
A bunch of Froakeies appeared and confused it.
"Froakie, Cut! Pikachu, Iron Tail!"
"Combusken, Brick Break!"
"Use Mud-Slap!"
Barbarcle slammed his lower arms into the ground causing muddy brown water to spurt and blind Pikachu and Greninja while sending Froakie and Combusken into a nearby boulder.
"Lucario! Bone Rush!"
"Marshstomp, Water Gun!"
"Espeon, Psybeam!"
"Use Razor Shell!"
Barbaracble knocked all of them with Razor Shell.
"It's over, Barbaracble, Poison Jab!"
Just as Barbarcle was about to land the final strike, two Pokémon undergoing evolution jumped in front of the attack.
"Froakie?!" "Combusken!?" Both Ash and Rainbow asked in surprise once the light cleared, they both evolved with Froakie being Frogadier and Combusken being Blazkien.
"Awesome, both of you evolved!"
"Even if they did evolve, they're still no match for us! Babarabcle, Razor Shell!"
"Wanna bet?" Rainbow dared him as Frogaider use Cut to counter the Razor Shell, the Blazkien came from underground by the use of Dig and strike Barbarcle.
"Use Poison Jab!"
"Blaze Kick!"
Blaziken quickly uses Blaze Kick before Barbarcle had a chance to use Posion Jab, then uses Heat Crash as followed up.
"Had enough?"
Barbaracle slowly stood up as the masked ninja smiled.
"Alright then, time for Ninja Leaf Shroud."
A dust tornado appeared and when it was clear they were gone.
"Alright, now go to the manor, There you will discover the whereabouts of your friends."
"Alright, let's go to the manor," Sanpei said.
"But if it's a trap?" Twilight asked.
"We'll just have to risk it," Sunset said. "Something tells me he's done playing games with us."
Sometime later...
"Excuse me, I Sanpei, have arrived." He announced.
"Is anyone here?" Sunset asked.
"Pika Pika!"
"I don't see anyone," Rainbow said.
"Hello! Look over here!" Bonnie's voice called. The others turned around and saw her, Serena, and others on one of the building porches.
"Hey, guys!" Pinkie greeted. "What took you so long?"
"How in the world did you guys get here before us?" Rainbow asked.
Then the masked ninja and his Barbaracle appeared right in front of them.
"I'm most impressed you made it all the way here. Well done, Sanpei," He congratulated as he pulled off his mask.
"Huh? Saizo?" Sanpei asked in surprise.
"Sanpei, open the scroll."
Sanpei did that, and the scroll was blank.
"There's nothing written on there?" Sunset asked.
"No way. Master, what is this all about?"
"I was testing you."
"Testing me?"
"You are a ninja who went on a training journey, so I thought I should give you a test to see how much you have grown."
"Saizo didn't want to put us in any trouble that would put us in harm's way so he brought us over here to the manor," Fluttershy added.
"Being blank or not, I still delivered the Serect Scroll on time, Which means our mission is now complete."
"You overcame many obstacles with your friends. And I saw it all with my very own eyes. I'll make a full report, directly to the village elder."
"That's great! Thank you so very much!"
At that time, Serena saw Frogadier and Blazkien. "Is that who I think it is?"
"Of course! Ash's Froakie and Raibow's Combusken evolved," Zane said excitedly.
"Ah, I wanted to see that!" Bonnie pouted.
"Say, Ash, since Sanpei's mission is done, about you and I have a battle?" Rainbow getting into a battle stance.
"You're on!"
