Chapter 25:

Reviews please?

By the way I am so sorry for the bad formatting but whatever I try to do in OpenOffice nothing works. FFN just makes the formatting so bad and I even tried to edit the chapters in the document manager but even that doesn't work. I am honestly out of ideas so if you know how to properly format a chapter so that I can put some space between different sections of a chapter, it would be awesome if you told me. Toodles.

Patch Notes:

The last few minutes had silenced to listen what was going on" I wrote that in the last chapter (24) and yeah uhm I am actually as confused as you probably are. No idea what went through my head in that moment, I don't even know what I wanted to express... well anyway I changed it to „She had been silent the last few minutes to hear what was going on"

I am also thinking of changing this story's rating to mature

**Scene Break** shows what it says.. xD

Oh and make sure to follow my story so that you will see when I upload new chapters, this fanfic is nowhere near done. :D

October 4th 1976, Pyrites Courthouse:

„Ugh don't worry guys I will just have to use my other arm, thanks Dolloway for the assistance" said Leonardo Pennington after regaining his composure. Priscilla Dolloway had managed to stop the bloodflow and given him his wand back. Leonardo now lusted after some revenge, how dare the blood traitor humiliate a noble pureblood like him in such a manner? He conveniently forgot that Blossom had been born a Burke and was now a Pyrite. She was miles ahead of him when it came to status. He ran ahead not caring about his basically amputated right arm or the fact that Rockwood was urging him to be cautious. It wasn't a surprise then that Leonardo didn't get much further than the corner at the end of the corridor. Augustus and the others didn't see him anymore and only heard Leonardo gag before something slumped to the ground. They sprinted down the corridor and around the corner only to gasp in horror as they saw a gruesome sight before them. A beheaded Leonardo was in front of them, his head gazing lifelessly at the ceiling while his body was riddled with holes.

„Nott, add Pennington to the casualty list and clean up this disgusting sight, the rest follow me" Augustus said after he quickly regained his composure.

„They have walked through the trap, I only sense 5 magical signatures now" Johnathan told his wife who nodded satisfied.

„I bet they didn't expect a member of a light oriented house to use such a dark trap. Too bad they didn't do their homework correctly" she said mocking their enemies with a sigh.

**Scene Break**

If there had been any people witnessing the fight it would have been called as one of the most chaotic and badass of the war so far. 12 werewolves against 11 aurors, such a large battle between wizards and werewolves hadn't happened in a long time. The two groups stared at eachother, the aurors not believing that they actually had to fight against werewolves and the werewolves surprised that the aurors had managed to respond to the situation so quickly. And so the standoff continued.. until the nervous Auror Trainee Taramyn Orpington sent off a stunning hex towards one of the werewolves. The 21 year old witch had never fought against a werewolf before and thus was quite surprised that the werewolf she targeted shrugged of the stunning hex as if it was nothing. This action sadly had the consequence of a fierce battle starting.

**Scene Break**

Lawrence Diggle and his associates were slowly approaching the courthouse, they had made sure noone was outside the courthouse anymore and were now on their back to actually have some fun. It sucked to be the few death eaters right now that had been ordered to stay outside to prevent anyone from escaping the premises. Diggle and co were slowly walking towards a larger window at the side of the courthouse being very careful. It wouldn't do to get ambushed and die as a result of being careless.

„Alright Bole get us inside" he ordered his associate who complied and used his skills with explosion magic to barrel through the thick enforced wall.

It didn't take long for them to see the chaos in the entrance hall but they knew their associates had that covered... and even if they didn't Diggle and the others had their own orders to follow. They blasted through another wall into the staircase and went downstairs into the basement. They had valuable things to loot, Adolphus Pyrites would just have to accept that his family name had just lost a lot of value. He wouldn't realise that this was Voldemort's intention, he wanted Adolphus to be as eager to get into Voldemort's good graces as possible.

**Scene Break**

Greyback noticed the group of death eaters rushing down to the basement.

'Greedy cowards' he thought to himself with a sneer before resuming the fight against one of the aurors.

**Scene Break**

„Don't you think that we should go help Johnathan and Blossom? Also, what about Adolph? He must have been either with them or somewhere on the grounds when the death eaters came" Roxanna said nervously. She had no idea how the fight outside was going and she knew that their more capable security guards were in the emergency wardstoneroom which didn't really give her a lot of confidence. Hermes looked at her for a moment and sighed. He really hadn't wanted to tell his son and his daughter in law about their child's betrayal.

„Father and mother will be fine, don't you worry Roxanna. Worry more about the twins, they are far more important. And about Adolphus... I am afraid that he was the one that allowed the death eaters to come in.." he said making Roxanna gasp and Calvin curse.

„No!" exclaimed Roxanna „I don't believe you, Adolph would never do something like that!" she said with tears welling up in her eyes.

**Scene Break**

Andres Shellford grimaced. The battle between his Aurors and the werewolves had started just 2 minutes ago and was so far a stalemate but he could see the casting speed of his younger colleagues slowing down as they fought and knew something in their battle strategy had to change.

„Well guess I get to use my new baby earlier than expected" he muttered while casually sidestepping a werewolf that had lunged at him. The young werewolf, feeling humiliated, turned around and ran towards Andres again. In her anger she didn't notice Andres drawing a long silverly shining dagger out of his robes and was surprised to get stabbed by the puny wizard when she lunged at him again. In horror she felt the silver poisoning her throughout her body, she collapsed within the next 5 seconds. Andres in the meanwhile had turned to the other werewolves who realised that the game's rules had just changed massively. First blood in this battle had been drawn.

**Scene Break**

Johnathan and Blossom had barricaded themselves in the conference room of the courthouse and knew that this would be their last stand. If they couldn't handle these five death eaters then they were basically dead. They might have been old and slowly approaching death's door but they really didn't want to leave this world just yet which is why Blossom used her creativity to create quite a few traps at the entrance door that would surely surprise their opponents.

**Scene Break**

„Son, someone has just went past the corner of the corridor and is slowly approaching the door. Get your wife and children out of her immediately. Come on Calvin, Archibald and I will hold them off as long as we can" Hermes said. The death eaters clearly tried to be stealthy but had missed his monitoring charm he had left at a painting. His boy nodded in resigned acceptance and opened the window before levitating Roxanna and their children to the ground. Archibald and Hermes looked at eachother with knowing gazes. The chances of them surviving the following encounter was slim at best. They would do their best to give Hermes, Roxanna, Anna and Anton as much time to escape as possible however.

**Scene Break**

Diggle, Bole and the other 4 death eaters were gazing longingly at the riches that were displayed in front of them. They were eager to get their hands on the jewelry, books, artifacts and coins inside a chamber they had just found behind a fake wall, even if only temporarily. There were still a few nasty wards they had to go through however and that would probably take some time, time they might not have. But their orders were clear and so the more skilled curse breakers of the group got to work while the rest stood guard.

**Scene Break**

A scream occured and Andres fought down a grimace as he watched Qarinna Pickford drop dead to the ground after having her face clawed to pieces by one of the werewolves. Both the werewolves and the aurors had lost a few teammates at this point, the aurors were down to 8 and the werewolves down to 9. Andres equalised the numbers by slowing down a werewolf with 2 stunning hexes and then killing him with his dagger.

**Scene Break**

The door exploded into pieces and some of the splinters got to Johnathan who winced and wasn't able to defend his wife from an incoming spell in time. Blossom flew through the room and was temporarily unable to do anything as she stayed groaning on the ground after impacting it. Johnathan had difficulty defending himself from incoming curses but managed to do it just in time. The death eaters saw their chance in winning the fight and stormed in but this was the exact moment Blossom's creativity payed off as Priscilla stumbled suddenly forward. Her associates gaped as they saw her head being cleanly cut off from her body by a downfalling battle axe. Blood spurted from her body staining the robes of the remaining death eaters.

**Scene Break**

Not long after Hermes and Archibald had closed the window disguising the escape attempt of the Calvin, Roxanna, Anton and Anna, the door exploded into pieces which were then summoned and forcibly expelled towards Hermes by one of the death eaters. Hermes turned the pieces to sand corns and threw a cutting curse towards one of his opponent who blocked it with a shield. Archibald in the meanwhile dodged a killing curse from one of the death eaters and threw an incendio at her. She caught fire but managed to shield herself from a petrification charm and doused herself in water to take out the fire. It didn't take long for the fight to become a stalemate. Hermes was too superior for just one of his three opponents so he took on two women while Archibald took on the man.

Camilla snarled furiously, this was taking far too long. If Josephine and her weren't able to break through their enemies' defense then they wouldn't be able to assist in the attack on Burke Manor that was scheduled to happen later that day. Josephine seemed to think so aswell and changed their way of doing things confusing Camilla in the process. What Josephine did was abandon Camilla who now had to fight alone against the Pyrite elder while Josephine joined the fight against the security guard in the room.

Archibald was comfortable taking his time against the death eater but his wounds made it difficult for him to fight against two. He evaded a killing curse and threw himself down to dodge an incoming swarm of bees that had been conjured by one of the death eaters. Shielding against a disarming hex he noticed the bees attacking his back and this distraction allowed the death eater he had been fighting against this whole time to finally land a hit on Archibald. The blood boiling curse killed him within a painful 10 seconds.

Josephine only heard a snarl of anger before she saw that Camilla was now lying on the floor having been bound with ropes by her opponent. Josephine had no time to react as the man threw a spell at her. She realised with surprise that the man had used a dark piercing curse on her before dying moments later from blood loss.
