EDIT: AAR stands for After Action Report.
Dating is such an odd practice. Or, Princess Cordelia saw it as such after her 'first time'.
Sure, she didn't have that much experience to call it for what it was meant to be with a honest opinion, but she felt like it was far 'simpler' than it should have been. They literally went for ice cream, ate it together, then it was over. Actually, that was a bit of a big lie born from her expectation for so much more!
Cordelia was aware of how gluttonous she was of what happened, but the real summary still felt extremely tiny: they went for the ice cream, but their conversation went on for a few hours. Then Kurt took her to the local park where children sang and praised her for a while. She even had the chance to teach a few girls how to style their hair nice and pretty.
Giggles, smiles, and a lot of doing 'nothing' together. It filled her chest with warmth but... it was so brief and so difficult to keep despite her desire to preserve that feeling forever. Kurt looking so at ease while keeping her company felt like a gift of sort- one he didn't seem to be aware about.
There was something tragic about the young man, in the specific... how he was not that happy with many things he had to do. Sure, he pushed to help in the occupation, but he was aware of what it was- an occupation. Necessary for the sake of self-preservation and the protection of others, but not a matter devoid of moral troubles.
Seeing him smile made Cordelia aware that her love interest did have a good heart and soul- the very things that had made her smitten to him. His beauty? That was a curious detail. She liked it, but, at the same time, she could tell that Kurt was not exactly that driven by it. The many times he would let a bit of a mustache or a full-on beard to appear on his face were common sights, with his unblemished visage devoid of facial hair felt like a stunning but fleeting dawn to a bright day.
Still, the date was weak. She knew that something was missing and, if there is something she learned from Kurt the most when it comes to 'confusing situations in the field', it was all about studying what went wrong with her own war council.
"Which is you two. I plan to expand it, but for now I trust only you two for this ordeal."
The first member was someone that Cordelia considered to be some sort of soul-friend... or someone that was like her, a shy little thing, that ended up being pulled by Kurt's attractive self. Isara Gunther was a Darcsen, an excellent engineer, and someone that Kurt tended to spend time talking when it came to planes.
It got to the point that the ongoing project of developing a sturdy and reliable civilian transport plane bore her name. Did Isara know this? She had a feeling the fellow girl didn't. Beyond the cute science talking, Isara had been someone that Cordelia had approached first as a potential rival in love... and then as one of the funniest individual to have around.
Not just for teasing material, but also for her adorable habit of overtalking when embarrassed- the first experience the princess had of this was a confession that she too liked Kurt but didn't want to hurt him and her. This had... the unexpected development of making Cordelia feel bad, learn more of her, and ultimately decide she would do a fine mistress.
Likewise, Crymaria was not far from this. The Valkyria was quite the social inept. She may know how to talk with others in an authoritarian way, but the older girl was terribly unprepared for proper social interactions. Their first meeting was one of the most perplexing possible. Kurt introduced her as his newest staff's member and... she was stiff.
Awkward, embarrassed, and unable to look up to her face for months. It took Cordelia a direct order to not look away from her face when she asked for it for the Major General to give up on that topic. Slowly but surely, they were on cordial terms and-
"It's time to address this matter at once. You two shall have 'hangouts' with Ku- Major General Hertling!"
"...Why?" Crymaria inquired quietly, sounding confused.
"I-Isn't it a bit pretentious for us?" Isara reasoned nervously. "After all, isn't your highness doing this already with him?"
"The reason why I am asking is because I know you two are incredibly in love with him too. Deny this, I dare you both!"
...
Crymaria raised a hand-
"Do you like the way he smiles?"
"Yes-"
"Do you like the way he treats you like a woman?"
"Y-Yes," She admitted with a bit less confidence and a hint of a blush on her cheeks.
"Do you love him?!"
...
"Yes..."
Isara shuddered. "Prin- Cordelia, I know that you are really in love with him but, still, this is bad! Polygamy is-"
"Acceptable if presented within the right notions. After all, we are all agreeing to this and he isn't forcing us to be his harem or something like that."
"You- You want us to-" Isara blurted out in a panic.
"Be his official mistresses if needed. It would be akin to marriage, but I would be the one wife due to role relevance."
"I-"
"Would there be discrimination between the role of wife and mistress?" Crymaria questioned and Cordelia hummed.
"Publicly so, there would be an expectative of me being the one on top and thus the one being favored. It would be an act, however, as I would consider you both my equals in the marriage."
Both girls were equally perplexed by this but also reassured.
"So you wouldn't mind-"
"Call me Cordelia, Isara. Likewise, I would want to call you Crymaria without imposing."
"I will accept this request, Prin- Cordelia."
Cordelia beamed, knowing she was doing right up to this point.
"With that being said, I think it's time to address the main goal for now- dating! I have already gone for a date, and I want you two to 'hang out' with him too. Starting with... Isa!"
The Darcsen jumped in surprise. "M-Me? But I... I mean, I don't want to take this from-"
"I am fine with this order," Crymaria interjected, stunning the shorter girl with that calm acceptance. "While I do feel like it would be a good experience to handle early on, I have a feeling that your own attempt will provide us a chance to further study the enemy."
"The 'enemy' being Kurt," Isara reminded and then... looking stunned by the implications. "So you want me to be your scout?"
"Yes."
"In a mission that could be quite suicidal."
"Suicidal?" Crymaria appeared perplexed by this rebuttal. "Do dates entertain hanging out by the frontline, Cordelia?"
"Not that I am familiar with, Crymaria, but I think Isara is just a bit shy."
"O-Of course I am, why should I not be nervous!? Kurt is so caring and he tends to be so perceptive of things... he would think I am just a babbling moron."
"Incorrect," Cordelia flatly remarked, a cheeky grin on her face. "You would be a 'cute' babbling moron, which is appealing."
"...Is it? Actually, Cordelia, how do you know what to do or say in dates?"
"That's simple, Isara! I read romance books!"
...
"C-Cordelia?"
"Yes, Isa~?" Cordelia replied 'sweetly', perhaps aware of what her fellow Darcsen girl was trying to conjure with that remark.
But before she could have, Crymaria grasped and squeezed at Isara's shoulder, having her tense up as she realized this was a warning.
"Nevermind..."
"I am glad! Now, let's get to business and plot a strategy to secure Kurt Hertling's heart!"
And while Kurt plotted the end of the war, the Triumvirate plotted the way he was going to be bedded.
AN
Cordelia being the cheeky, slightly lewd mastermind, Crymaria being the clueless but supportive minion, and Isara being the unheard quiet straight(wo)man.
