Hello everyone, here is the next chapter
This is a bit of everything, and is a bit short
I just realised, after a comment, that I have mixed Ace and Ann, this is not on purpose, it is supposed to be Ace, but I get a bit confused as I write she and then need to write Ace, but I hope this is better in this
Hope you enjoy
Read and relax
Ace sighed, looking in the mirror, tying her binds. She knew Deuce hated it when she tightened them, but she needed to do it. She, as she hated, had been one of those who got large breasts. She wished she was one of those who got small ones, so she wouldn't need to bind them. But no, she was unlucky. She knew many who would want to look like her, which she didn't understand. She hated how she looked, the reason she bound her chest and wore a fake bob, it made her look… better. Stronger. She liked to look like a male, which she liked.
He then headed out on deck, trying to do her day normally. She still didn't have any duties, probably since she was new, she would probably get them later on. As she was out, Marco headed over to her. "Why do you let Shanks do what he does, yoi?" Ace snorted. "I have no choice. I once tried to not go, and oh my God, it was awful. He kidnapped me and forced me around. Almost surprised he didn't put me in cuffs." Marco nodded slowly. "We can help keep him away, yoi. If you don't want to go." Ace blinked, they would do that for her? Ace shook her head. "No, it's okay. He isn't too overbearing now. He's learned. I'll survive. Marco nodded. "Okay. But know, the offer still stands. We want your best, and if you don't want to go, you don't want to, yoi." Ace nodded, she was glad that was an offer, in case she really didn't want to go. But, Shanks was Shanks, so she just needed to survive. He meant well, he really did. Even though he could be too much with those clothes and hair things.
The day went by fine, and when Deuce came out, he gave a stern look to her, knowing and seeing she had tightened her binds too much. But she just shrugged. It was fine. As long as she didn't fall over the railing, it would be fine. The time she had done that was a fluke, and it was how the pirates had found out she was a she, not a he. They would have found out when Shanks showed up anyway, so it was probably the easiest. Or else, they would have been shocked when they saw her suddenly looking like a female with her hair down. Shanks was a stupid man. But, he was nice. He was looking out for her. It would most likely be half a year until he showed up again, the annual day becoming a thing they did twice a year. It was fine.
As day moved by, she was asked to help with a few things, and she did. She wanted to help out, she enjoyed it here, she felt she wanted to stay here. She knew many wondered why she hid her gender, but they thankfully hadn't asked much about it, but she could see the looks people sent her. She thankfully had Deuce. She had the others as well, from her old crew, but she liked Deuce the best. It was probably wrong to have a favorite, but she did. Deuce was amazing and helped her a lot. He wanted her to open more with the pirates. Which was understandable, she had joined them, and they acted like a family, so she needed to try and do that.
As day was moving to evening, Thatch had asked if she would show the mark again, and Ace didn't have a definitive answer, she was unsure. She didn't like to go with those clothes, but she should try. Before she could voice that, Thatch continued. "And, we need to take a picture of it, so the marines and news can see you've joined us." Ace blinked. That was true, she needed to do that. Oh no, that meant the news would also find out she was a she, did she want that? She shook her head, she had too, and sighed. "Yeah… I can try tomorrow. Thatch nodded. "Nice." Ace nodded, it probably was nice. The evening went by fine, and when the next day came and she stood up, she headed to her closet and tried to find some clothes she could use. She decided to use the clothes Shanks had gotten her, and took those on, before she headed out.
As she was out, everyone seemed glad to see her showing off her mark, and she got some compliments. Thatch was helpful and helped her take a picture of her back as her face showed, to show it was her and that she had joined the Whitebeards. After the picture had been taken, she kept the clothes on for about 2 more hours, and Deuce approved that, glad she showed it off and looked like herself. She still had her hair in a bob, but she was showing her back, which was something. As she was about to head back to her room and change her clothes, Izou looked at her. "Want me to do a braid? I can try the one you had the other week." Ace blinked. Izou could remake that nice braid? "Y-yeah." Izou nodded and they moved to a chair she sat down in and Izou moved to braid her hair. It took some time, longer than it had taken when the worker did it, but when she was finished and got a mirror, it looked really close to the braid. It wasn't exactly the same, but it was close enough for her. "I hope it looks good." Said Izou and Ace nodded. "It looks nice. I think I might try and keep it for a day." Izou smiled. "Makes me glad to hear." Ace nodded, and when she saw Deuce later, he was glad to see her having a braid, meaning she didn't use the fake bob.
She was out the entire day, even kept the clothes on, which had many glad, and she liked her braid. She liked how it looked and felt. When evening came, she moved to her room and changed into her night clothes, before she took the braid out. It tugged a bit on her hair, and she didn't like that. A day was enough for her. It was two days later the news of her joining the Whitebeard pirates came, and it had an input about it. It did mention she had joined them and that she was a she, which was a shock and they tried to think of a reason why to hide it and they said it was to look stronger, which it was. The way the media spoke about her… which was in a condescending way she felt. She felt down with that. But Deuce had tried to cheer her up, which worked a bit. She was then given some chores, which helped get her mind on something else. A few did ask if she would wear the clothes she had those days again, and she said she didn't know. Because she didn't. It didn't feel right to use those clothes. It made her feel vulnerable. She felt naked and open, something she didn't like.
When the next day came and she was out on deck, she was close to the captain's chair, and he had waved her over, as very few were out as it was early. She had her usual clothes and binds on. When she was close to the captain, he looked at her. "Why do you hide the fact you're a female?" Ace sighed, crossing her hands. "Do I need a reason? What if I don't hide it?" The captain sighed. "I can see you're hiding it. And it's not good. You should be yourself." Ace scoffed. "This is me." The captain shook his head. "No, it is not. You're a female, and should be proud of that. A female can be equally as strong, if not stronger, than other people." Ace shook her head, she didn't believe that. Before she could voice that, the captain continued. "Look at Haruta. She's just as strong as all my commanders. Stronger than many." Ace just shrugged. She didn't believe that. Haruta might be strong, but she was still a female. The captain sighed. "Who made you believe these lies?" Ace huffed. "I believe no lie. I believe the truth." The captain shook his head. "No, like with your father, you've heard lies. A female is a strong person. I know many think poorly of them, but it is not true." But it was. A female was weak. She was much stronger as a man.
The captain sighed. "I am sure this won't get through to you, but try not to believe lies. See in action, and you will find yourself surprised." Ace gave a huff. That was what she had done, see in action. A woman was weak compared to men, and as they all said, women were weak. That was why she needed to be a man, to be strong. Before the captain could say anything else, Ace headed away, heading back to her room, banigng the door closed behind her. Who did the captain think he was? Believing that women were strong, they were weaker than the rest, than the males.
She moved a hand to her glass on the table and threw it at the wall, feeling upset, before she moved to the bed and laid down on her stomach, head in her pillow. She moved her head towards the door when she heard a knock. "Go away!" She yelled, not in the mood to see anyone. She moved her head down in her pillow again, and felt more annoyed as the door opened, she didn't look to see who it was, not caring. She felt she had tears in her eyes. She heard footsteps, before a hand moved to her back. "Ace, don't be upset, things are going to go fine, yoi." She heard Marco say, and Ace shook her head. "Go away!" She yelled again, and she heard Marco sigh, before his hand gave a stroke to her back. "Come out when you feel better, yoi." Then she heard footsteps moving away, before her door closed again.
Ace shook her head. She didn't get it. She didn't get why Marco was so nice. He had no reason to treat her nice. No one had, aside from her old crew. It was silent for a while, before the door opened again, before a hand moved to swat her hips. "Scotch." Said Deuce, and Ace did, making space for Deuce on her bed. When he sat down, he gave a sigh, hand moving to be between her shoulder blades. "Marco said you needed some comfort." Ace nodded, she did, and she was glad Marco sent Deuce instead of trying himself. "I don't get it." She said into her pillow, and the hand moved on her back. "Don't get what?" Ace shook her head a bit again. "Why are they so kind? It makes no sense." Deuce hummed. "You do realize this is a family, and you joined that. Family cares about each other." That was sort of true. She cared about Sabo and Luffy, and the others probably cared about each other. Did she regret joining them? Ace wasn't sure right now. She needed to think.
She moved her hands around her pillow, pressing her face more into it, feeling tears threatening to fall. She heard a sigh, before the bed dipped as Deuce laid down, an arm over her shape, head moving to her neck and she could feel his breath on her neck. "It's going to be fine, Ace. Just relax. Today was probably a bad day." She hoped so, that today was just a bad day. That tomorrow would be better. She hated today. She wanted the day to be over with. The fact Deuce was here helped, she liked him. She liked him the best.
And that's the chapter, hope you enjoyed
