Jacques vs. Cody
Summary: In this chapter, Jacques Grenier takes on Cody Anderson in a number one contender's match for the TDW Intercontinental Championship.

The crowd was fired up following the last segment but they were ready for the action to resume.
"We are back live from 'Beantown'... Boston, Massachusetts as we have our next match." Mauro said before "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors began to play as Cody Anderson came out to cheers as the bell rang.
"This next match is to determine the number one contender for the TDW Intercontinental Championship scheduled for one-fall! Introducing first from Red Hat, Alberta, Canada... weighing in at 212 Pounds... Cody Anderson!" Justin Roberts announced.
"Cody Anderson had a tough but physical match against the TDW Intercontinental Champion Jay Morris at Christmas Miracle." JR said to Mauro while Cody entered the ring.
"But JR, if Cody wants another chance to challenge Jay he'll have to get through Jacques Grenier." Mauro said before "Triumphant Trumpets" started to play as Jacques came out to loud boos from the crowd in Boston.
"Introducing the opponent... representing The Empire, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada... weighing in at 240 Pounds... Jacques Grenier!" Justin Roberts announced.
"Jacques came up short against Owen Chambers in the first ever Clash of the Santas... he hopes to have another chance at victory tonight." JR said before Jacques entered the ring, as the bell rang before the match started with the two grappling in the collar-and-elbow tie up.
"This match to determine who will challenge Jay Morris for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Road to Redemption is underway as the champion Jay Morris is paying close attention to this match." Mauro said before Jacques nailed a snapmare takedown and a brutal dropkick to Cody's head.
"What a dropkick by Jacques to start off the match." JR said before Jacques pushed Cody into the corner and nailed a few hard and brutal Ric Flair like chops.
"Jacques Grenier chopping Cody like Red Sox Mookie Betts! But unlike Mookie, this crowd in Beantown isn't liking it a bit!" Mauro said before Jacques nailed a big boot to Cody's head before he nailed a double legged takedown in the center of the ring.
"Jacques with a double legged takedown nailing Cody's spine onto the canvas." JR said before Jacques set Cody up for "The French Special" as he nailed it.
"The French Special, the Gory Special neckbreaker and this could be academic." JR said before Cody then played possum as he nailed an inside cradle pin.
"Whoa! Wait a minute!" Mauro shouted before the ref began the count.
"1...! 2...!" The ref counted before Jacques kicked out, and attempted a hard lariat but Cody avoided it before nailing the Codybuster and going to the top turnbuckle before nailing jacques with the Frog Splash causing the crowd to cheer.
"Cody with the Codybuster and the Frog Splash! Could he get his rematch?" JR shouted and asked before Cody pinned Jacques.
"1...! 2...!" The ref counted before Jacques kicked out once again before Cody went back up to the top turnbuckle nailing another Frog Splash as he pinned Jacques before Josee ran to the ring.
"Here's the count!" JR said.
"1...! 2...!" The ref counted before Josee ran up to the apron and spat out black mist.
"What the hell?! Josee spat out black mist into the eyes of Cody Anderson!" Mauro asked and shouted before Jacques was revived by Josee.
"Jacques has been revived thanks to Josee who blinded Cody with that black mist!" JR said before Jacques then nailed another French Special before he pinned Cody.
"1...! 2...! 3...!" The referee counted as Jacques won the match thanks to Josee while the crowd booed.
"Here is your winner, and the number one contender for the TDW Intercontinental Championship at Road to Redemption... Jacques Grenier!" Justin Roberts announced.
"That was a rotten thing to do by Josee but she doesn't care." Mauro said.
"When we come back LeShawna Jackson will take on the new TDW Women's Champion "Rowdy" Ali Moonbeam so don't go away." JR said before the camera faded to black.
