Chapter 18: Painful Truths

In the next morning, Naruto was awoken by the rays of the rising sun albeit started grumbling since he wanted to sleep a bit more. He rose from his bed which woke up Nikan with the wolf pup licking him affectionately in greeting.

Chara then appeared before him "Good morning, whiskers,"

Naruto nodded in response "Morning to you too Chara, mind waiting while I go and take a bath before putting on some clothes?"

"Sure, take all the time you need," the blonde boy went to take his bath and changed into his new clothes for the day when Chara floated up to him "Hey Naruto, just to let you know; today's the day you're gonna tell your mother and your friends about why you were gone as well as providing good evidence to avoid getting grounded,"

Naruto stopped what he was doing and turned to Chara, rolling his eyes in mild annoyance upon seeing her smirk at him before giving a retort "Thanks for the reminder, I'm fully aware of that. But I should be fine as I have proof for it so things should go smoothly…I hope,"

Chara quirked an eyebrow at the last part of the sentence "You hope? That doesn't sound very reassuring,"

Naruto shrugged in response "It really depends on how I explain it but nonetheless, everything should be fine as long I don't screw it up," Chara was silent for awhile but gave him a nod as they made their way downstairs to the kitchen where they see Kushina making breakfast

"Morning son, I made pancakes for you," said Kushina as she served breakfast on the table with Naruto taking his seat and thanking her for the food then they began to eat, then she decided to speak up "So…I hope you've come up with a good excuse for your sudden disappearance yesterday because if it doesn't surprise me and not being truthful, you're gonna be facing grounding for a year. Understand?"

"Mom, I assure you, it's not an excuse of anything and I'll be telling you and our friends everything about my disappearance and I mean EVERYTHING. You know I never lie about anything," said Naruto in a serious tone.

Kushina looked at her son for a moment then said "Alright, I'll trust your word for now. For your sake, this explanation of yours better be good. I already called up the others so they're be here in 2 hours so be ready," Naruto just nodded

Chara simply said "Awkward~,"

"Shut it Chara," Naruto grumbled mentally, making the ghost girl giggle in amusement.

After finishing eating breakfast, they waited on the others as they chilled for a bit by watching TV but didn't exactly start up a conversation given the tension between them amongst other things. Two hours later, they heard the door bell rang which prompted Kushina to open the door to reveal the Dreemurr family having arrived. Asgore and Toriel walked in followed closely by Frisk and Asriel. The moment they saw Naruto sitting on the sofa in the living room, Toriel, Frisk and Asriel rushed over to with the former embracing him

"My child! You're back! It's a relief to see you returned!" said Toriel joyfully.

Asriel spoke in turn "We were worried about you. You suddenly vanished and you weren't answering our calls. What happened?"

Frisk added in support "Yeah, I was afraid that something bad had happened to you,"

Naruto rubbed the back of his head, feeling a bit guilty, seeing how worried they are "Ah jeez, I'm sorry you guys. I didn't mean to make you all worried about me this much. But don't worry, I'll explain why when everyone gets here as it requires a lot of explanation. For now just relax for the time being,"

Both Asriel and Frisk look a bit calm while the latter said "Alright but promise us you'll never go up and vanish on us again, ok?" Asriel nodded in agreement.

Naruto placed his hands on top of their heads, rubbing them as he said "I don't know about that but I'll promise for you two if it calms you both down,"

Apparently, it did the trick as Frisk seem to blush by Naruto's hand brushing against her hair while Asriel just giggled while halfheartedly trying to stop Naruto from petting him. Kushina along with Toriel and Asgore smiled at the interaction between the children, seeing Asriel and Frisk looking up to Naruto to be adorable

While this was happening, Chara was just staring at everyone as they interacted with each other but the only thing that had a majority of her attention was Asriel. She couldn't believe what she's seeing as if she's looking at a ghost in front of her. Her brother of this timeline is alive. But how, how is that possible? His soul was lost, how is it that Naruto managed to bring him back to life?

Naruto then noticed Chara staring at Asriel for a long time and started to realize why. In her timeline, her brother is still dead while remained as a flower, but here he isn't anymore. So, he tried asking her "Chara, you alright?"

Chara then looked at Naruto and spoke in a demanding tone "How? How is Asriel of your timeline still alive. He's dead and yet he's here. Tell me whiskers, how did you bring him back to life!?"

Naruto tried to placate the irritated ghost girl "Chara calm down, I can understand why you're asking me this. The reason our Asriel is alive now is because Frisk and I alongwith the 6 fallen human SOULs gave portions of our soul power to Asriel which resulted in giving him a new soul. His soul is that of a rainbow as we call his soul trait: Miracle,"

Chara was in shock and became intrigued about the new SOUL he now has. She nodded silently in acceptance of his answer while just watching the others but mainly Asriel "…Azzy." Naruto felt bad for her, understanding how she feels at the moment. He wishes he could help her but there's nothing he can do about it for now.

Anyways not long after, they heard the door bell ring which happens to be the Skeleton brothers: Sans and Papyrus. Papyrus greeted Kushina with respect, while Sans did the same while Kushina was letting them in.

"Ah! Human Naruto, you have returned to us safe and sound," said Papyrus happily.

Sans smiled lazily "Yeah kid, Where you run off to? Your mom was so worried she was planning on having a search party to the authorities,"

Naruto groaned upon hearing this "That bad huh? I didn't think it got that bad but I guess I understand her worries. Anyways I'll explain about it later, just have a seat while we wait for the others to show up,"

Papyrus nodded in acceptance "Very well, human Naruto. Come on Sans! Be a normal guest and try not to sleep on the couch,"

Sans shrugged his shoulders "Can't promise you that bro," making Papyrus groan at this

"Why am I not surprised to hear that,"

They took a seat on the couch which Sans looked to have immediately fallen asleep, judging by how he was slouching on the couch and Papyrus is not even going to bother with him anymore.

Naruto heard the tone of disdain in Chara's voice when she saw Sans "Great, the comedian is here. Of course he along with his brother would show up here,"

Naruto frowned at this and asked "Chara, I get you don't like Sans all that much due to your experience with him in your timeline but to be fair, you did killed his brother without remorse and he just retaliated. That and many others as well, despite you were corrupted by your HATE. But what I don't understand is why you don't like Papyrus? He's a lovable guy. What do you have against him?"

"…," Chara was silent for a moment then said "Look whiskers, I don't exactly hate him. On the contrary, I actually like that goofball. Heck, I even envy his simpleminded personality. It's just that his line of thinking that everyone can change for the better being what I despise. He believes that even the worst person can change if they tried, I don't believe those words as no one can redeem themselves from their actions. He has no idea how the world works from the surface as he along with monsterkind have been trapped down in the Underground for a very long time. His carefree personality is too good for this world with reality is a cruel place where humanity constantly fights against each other from little to big things which is why we have so many wars, crimes, discrimination and other horrific atrocities that mankind has ever done in history and is still happening to this day. That's why I'll always hate humanity because it's irredeemable. He needs to face reality that there are others that can't be changed,"

Naruto didn't know what to say, but he couldn't really fault her since what she said is true towards humanity and even he couldn't help but felt disgusted by it at how humanity has become over the years of history.

"While it's true that there are bad humans who still continue to do bad things which resulted greed, ambition and hatred that we are known for. But not all of them are bad though, there are others out there who are good. Take me and Frisk for example, we wanted to save the monsters from the underground & succeeded and even soon to became their ambassadors. You may have lost faith towards humanity but you can't give up on those who aren't bad. You just gotta give them a chance to prove to you there's still hope for them to change,"

Chara wasn't all that convinced "We'll see if that ever happens," Naruto just mentally sighed, seeing that she still holds resentment towards humanity which may take time for her to change her view, he'll just have to deal with it later.

For the third time, the door bell rang and it was Undyne and Alphys having arrived. After greeting Kushina, Undyne rushed in upon seeing Naruto and gave him a bone crushing hug as she demanded

"Ngahhh! Where have you been!? I had to ask both Dogamy & Dogaressa to track you down but you suddenly up and vanished as soon we discovered your hidden training ground which by the way, I approve but feel that it needs a proper training setup which Papyrus and I will help you with that,"

Naruto wasn't sure how to feel about them discovering his training ground other than feeling his bones being crushed, speaking of which… "Sorry to worry you but can you please put me down? you're crushing me," Said Naruto in pain

"U-Undyne, please put him down," Alphys spoke up, making Undyne comply with a sheepish grin with Naruto was feeling slight pain in his spine but was able to fix that by stretching his back a bit.

"Anyways, sorry about all this but like I said to the others, I'll explain once everyone is here," said Naruto.

"A-Alright then," The shy scientist nodded in understanding while Undyne grumbled a bit before they went to take their seats. As they get settled, the door rang which this time Naruto beats Kushina to the door and he opened it which showed that it was Red.

Upon seeing Red, Naruto became a little nervous as he can see Red gasp the moment she saw his sudden return and greeted meekly "H-Hey Red,"

She stood there for a moment before lunging at him with a hug which the blonde returned. But the next thing he knew was that she suddenly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and started yelling.

"Naruto! Where were you!? Do you have any idea how worried everyone was? Especially me!? I thought something bad had happened to you and my parents couldn't track you. So you'd better start talking; where did you run off to without telling any of us?!" Said Red whilst showing her baby red expression and comically shaking Naruto to get answers out of him while the others who are watching just sweatdropped.

Kushina was just smirking at Red as she has her respect and was also feeling proud since it reminded her of how she would act around…Minato. Thinking about that made her smile a bit at the memories but didn't let the past get to her cause she needs to move on like he would wanted that way. Anyways, she snapped back to reality when she heard Naruto talk to Red.

"Red! Please calm down! I know you're upset but I'll explain everything. I'm sorry I made everyone worry about me but I have a good explanation about my disappearance. So please stop shaking me and let me go,"

Red stared at Naruto for a bit before finally let him go "Fine, but this explanation of yours better be worth it,"

"It will be, trust me." said Naruto with an assuring smile, making Red turn away to hide her blush with a small mumble

"You dork," she walked in and took a seat with her friends as the others had different thoughts about that.

Now that everyone is here, Naruto was beginning to get everyone's attention when he heard Chara ask a question "Hey whiskers, who's the girl with the red hood?"

Naruto raised an eyebrow before answering "Oh her? That's Red. I'm surprised you don't know her. I figured you have encountered her in your timeline,"

Hearing this made Chara hum in thought before snapping her fingers in realization "Oh! Red! Now I remember her. That Red who's part of the Royal Guard. I didn't recognize her in that different outfit she's now wearing. Especially without her hood up and the fact she's actually a dog which seems accurate due to her barking, but now I seem to recall encountering her in my timeline. Frisk and I met her at the CORE by chance. At first, she was hostile towards us when Frisk was making friends with her. But with me…well she put up a good fight than I thought she would, especially with those weird guardians of hers that she summoned against me,"

Naruto was neutral about this but asked "You didn't…kill her in your timeline, did you?"

The ghost noticed the tone in his voice and answered truthfully "Yes whiskers, I killed her when I was in my genocidal phase… sorry,"

Naruto sighed at this, so Red had also died in that genocide run of hers. At least he didn't come across her dusty remains when he was there. But then Chara mentioned something about Red's guardians which made him ask "Wait… you mentioned in your timeline, Red was able to summon her guardians during your fight. Is that true?"

Chakra raised an eyebrow but replied "Yeah? Why do you ask? Doesn't your Red do the same?"

"No, at least not yet. She's working on how to summon them in battle but just haven't been able to pull it off at the moment,"

"Interesting. I suppose it might have something to do with her emotions. When I was trying to kill her, she wanted no part of getting my way and was willing to let me go while I still had intentions of murdering her, she was quite angry and that anger must've allowed her to summon her guardians at will. So if I had to guess… it's most likely it's her emotions of impending danger allowed her to summon them,"

Naruto was interested at this information. So basically it's like in the anime where your life is endangered, then you're forced to do something which would lead to you unlocking something or your anger let's you gain access to an inner power. He'll keep this information to himself since he'll have to talk to Undyne about this to help Red later.

"I see…that would make sense. Well thanks for the info. Maybe that'll help her summon her guardians. Won't hurt to give it a try later,"

"Sure, no problem," Chara shrugged her shoulders.

Now with that out of the way, Naruto began to gain everyone's attention while they were chatting with each other before giving him their upmost attention as he held out a disk with his right hand.

"I just wanted to say thank you all for coming over today. Now I'm sure all of you have questions regarding where I've been due to my sudden disappearance as well as me being unable to receive nor respond back to any of your texts and calls. Well I want you all to hold off on your questions because this disk that I have here contains the information on where I've been and what has happened. But before I play it, I want ask you guys a few questions regarding my disappearance," said Naruto then he looked at Undyne "Undyne, you mentioned something about asking Dogamy & Dogaressa in searching for me which led to no leads?"

Undyne nodded with a small frown "Yeah, I was with them when they tried to track down your scent after your mom asked for my help. She told us where you went as we were led to an open forest clearing which so happens to be your training ground. But the strangest thing is that your scent stopped somewhere at the trees, almost as if you vanished without a trace and there's nothing else that is left behind. We tried to retrace our steps but always end up with a dead end,"

Naruto hummed thoughtfully "I see…I suppose that makes sense for my situation,"

"What do you mean by that?" Alphys asked curiously

"Well…I know exactly what caused my disappearance but…what I'm about to tell you all would consider to be unbelievable at first and I wouldn't blame you for thinking that since I didn't believe it myself when I experienced it first-hand,"

Everyone looked confused at that until Kushina spoke up "Naruto, just tell us what it is that caused your sudden disappearance. It can't by that difficulty to explain what is unbelievable,"

Naruto just looked at her "Alright, just know that once I tell you all what it is, don't say I didn't warn you because y'all would be doubting me in a few minutes," Naruto then took a deep breath and exhaled as he began his explanation regarding his disappearance. "The reason that led to my disappearance was that I was kidnapped, but it wasn't by a person as Dogamy & Dogaressa would've picked up someone else's scent. What took me was…a portal,"

Everyone looked surprised by this but became doubtful especially Kushina. Naruto had already been expecting those doubtful looks which they're giving him as he said "Told y'all you wouldn't believe it. I warned you. But let me finish before any of you question me about that claim. It happened when Nikan and I were heading towards my training ground while I was dealing with some…personal stuff. Just when I was preparing to head back home, the portal that kidnapped me appeared from out of nowhere and it tried to suck me in. Unfortunately it was too strong for me to get away in time and before you know it, I got sucked in,"

Everyone didn't know what to say to this which Kushina decided to say something as she looked annoyed at this "Seriously Naruto? That's the best excuse you can come up with? If this is a joke or a prank, we're not laughing,"

Naruto said "It's neither of those things, It's the truth,"

Kushina looked even more annoyed at this "This is ridiculous. Do you honestly expect us to believe that a 'portal' caused your sudden disappearance? That is the most stupidest made up lie I ever heard,"

Naruto just sigh at this as he knows how stubborn his mom can be and he expected this anyways "Look mom, I know it's hard to believe at first and I get it. After all, I did state that it would be unbelievable at first but I'm telling you all it's the truth of what happened to me. Besides, can you really find it ridiculous?"

"Of course I do, what makes you think that what you're telling us isn't ridiculous?"

"Well it can't be more ridiculous than learning about the existence of monsters that have been trapped underground for years which Nikan, Frisk and I befriended and freed, knowing about a history that involved a war between humans and monsters that was never mentioned about in history books or the fact that magic that is supposed to be a fairy tale fantasy exist. All those things are considered to be ridiculous and yet it all happened. So how is me getting sucked into a random portal against my will that ridiculous to you?"

Kushina open her mouth to refute that but decided to shut her mouth because she knows that Naruto is right despite her stubbornness in believing it. All what he said would be considered ridiculous by all accounts but the fact that her son met and made friends with monsters and learned about a history about a war between humans and monsters and learning about magic is considerably unbelievable…but yet it happened and it's all true.

Sans who was quiet for a while decided to speak up "The kid has a point you know. I mean if you think about it; a portal appearing out of nowhere isn't out of the realm of possibility and strange things could happen that is out of our comprehension, but that's just my opinion from what we're hearing,"

Kushina looked shocked at hearing that Sans sounding like he's believing this. Even Alphy's agreed to this "I-I can agree to that, I mean it's a possibility that portals can exist and I've been doing research in the past to find out if that stuff is true,"

Kushina didn't know what to say that but remained silent until she spoke "I suppose you all have a point but…it's just a mere thought of a portal that Naruto claimed to kidnap him is just…impossible,"

Asgore spoke up "Unbelievable yes, but not impossible. Believe it or not, there was a time humans were capable of creating portals back then in the past,"

The redheaded mother looked surprised at this new information "Wait really?"

"Indeed. You see, during me and Toriel's time when the war broke out, there were some human magicians that were capable of creating portals but was used for transportation to other places, mainly in the battlefield for key positions. So to hear about a portal that Naruto saw and was dragged into, I believe it. Surprised at first but I'll take his word for it. After all, he's not the type to lie about his own disappearance like that. Right?"

Everyone, even Toriel who was reluctant, agreed to Asgore as Papyrus spoke "Of course! Human Naruto isn't the type who lies to us unless it's for good reasons so I believe this isn't a lie,"

Frisk even adds on saying "Naruto would never lie to us like that so I'll trust him every step of the way,"

Asriel said "Yeah!"

Agreeing to Frisk while Red spoke up "He's our friend and he hasn't steered us wrong yet so I'll believe what he has to say,"

Kushina couldn't believe that all of them are siding with Naruto which was a huge shocker but it did make her smile to see he's made great friends since his journey to the underground. Minato would've be proud of his son. Shaking her thoughts, she decided to speak "Alright! Alright, you all made your point so…I'll let you continue on your explanation son, despite how crazy it sounded so far but I'll hear you out again once you're done,"

Naruto smiled gratefully "Thanks mom. As for everyone, I'm glad you all believe in me which I'm happy about. Thank you guys." Everyone smiled at him which he returned back until he got back on track "Anyways, I'll continue where I left off. After that portal pulled me, it took me somewhere that I never thought I would find myself in,"

Toriel who spoke up said "What do you mean my child? Where did that portal took you to?"

Naruto said "It maybe a surprise to hear this but…I ended up in the underground,"

After hearing that surprised them. Undyne then said "Wait, you're telling us that you were in the underground the entire time!? If that was the case we could've searched for you there. In fact, if you was transported there, you could've just gotten out of the underground and gotten our texts and calls!"

Alphys spoke in agreement "That is true, you would've known about out texts and calls so how come you didn't responded back or told us about your encounter beforehand?"

Naruto ruffled his hair as he explained "You see…that's the thing and this might be a bit confusing and unbelievable yet again. That portal did take me to the underground but not the underground that I know of,"

"W-What do you mean by that?"

Naruto elaborated on his statement "The underground that I ended up wasn't from here but…from another timeline,"

Now hearing that made everyone shocked at this, especially Alphys who's looking like she's about ready to geek out at the prospect of timelines exist but she restrains herself as she wanted to see proof of this before bombarding him with questions.

But with Kushina however, she looked ready to call out her son that what he's saying is just utter nonsense and ridiculously impossible at the prospect of that claim as she looked frustrated at hearing this. But Kushina calmed herself down as she said to him "Naruto, normally I would've just stopped listening to this nonsense story of yours, ending this farce and just flat out grounding you right then and there…but the only reason I haven't yet is because something tells me you have 'proof' that you were in another 'timeline' that you claimed to have been in and I want to hear the rest of your story. You do have evidence to support this story of yours right? Perhaps that disk that you mentioned in the beginning?"

Everyone sweatdropped and felt awkward from this, especially Naruto since he knows he's treading on dangerous grounds but he answered her "As a matter of fact I do have proof that I was in another timeline which I'll play the disk in a moment but…I want you to all know that what you're about to see…is gonna leave you all horrified for what you're about to witness from what I've experienced,"

Sans quirked a nonexistent eyebrow "What do you mean by that kid? What happened over there that made you say that?"

Naruto sighed sadly "Watch and you'll all see what I mean,"

After finish his sentence, he immediately got started inserting the disk as the TV started show static for a bit before revealing it to be Alphys who looked desperate and afraid.

Undyne watched the screen with concern "Hey, that's you Alphys but why do you look so scared?"

Alphys who was surprised at seeing herself acting that way replied "I-I don't know, I don't remember this,"

Naruto then explained "It's because it isn't you from our timeline, it's from theirs. Watch and listen," As he said that, everyone paid attention as they watched Alphys from the video starting to talk

[H-Hello? Can anyone hear me? This is Alphys, Royal Scientist of Hotland. If there's anyone who's listening in Hotland, I'm issuing an emergency evacuation. There is a dangerous human child armed with a knife who's going around killing monsters throughout the Underground]

Everyone except Naruto was surprised at hearing this. They couldn't believe what Alphys had just said. A human child going around killing monsters? They cannot wrap their minds around the idea of someone who's a child no less killing monsters. Who could possibly commit such an atrocity like this? For some reason, Frisk felt a strange feeling from the pit of her stomach that she might know who that human child could be and was hoping it isn't what she's thinking. However, her hopes were dashed as Alphys from the video showed a footage of human child who turned out to be Frisk, shocking everyone especially Frisk herself, horrified at the sight of her holding a knife as she went around killing monsters from Snowdin to Waterfall. It didn't help matters that she was covered in monster dust on her clothes.

[A-As you can see, this human is highly dangerous and whenever she comes across a monster, she will kill them without a second thought. Nobody could stop her. Not even the Royal Guards and now Undyne; the Captain of the Royal Guard couldn't stop her from her murderous rampage had been slain by her]

Undyne became enraged when she heard this "WHAT!? I lost to the brat!?" she was in disbelief and just couldn't accept the fact that she who's the captain of the Royal Guard lost and died to Frisk of all people.

[Right now the human is making her way to Hotland soon. I don't know what her motive is beyond all these murders but from what I can understand is that she seeks to exterminate all monster kind. So to anyone who's listening in Hotland, please head down to the evacuation points that I'm setting up which is the True Laboratory or the Capitol. We don't have much time before the human reaches Hotland. I need to get out of the Lab while I contact Asgore of the situation and get as many monsters from the CORE as soon as possible before she makes her way here. So I repeat: get the evacuation points before the human gets to you]

After Alphys finishes her warning to everyone, the video cuts off and turned back to static. Everyone except Naruto were left stunned speechless at what they had just watched. No one uttered a single word until Undyne broke the silence with a voice full of anger

"What the hell did we just watch!?" Undyne yelled angrily

"Language!" Toriel spoke in a stern voice towards Undyne due to her cussing while there are children in their presence with the captain of the Royal Guard apologizing

"Sorry but seriously, what did we just watch?"

"It's exactly what you're all are thinking. What you guys just witnessed from that video feed had taken place from another timeline that I ended up…a timeline where a genocide was taking place,"

Everyone couldn't believe what they are hearing. Naruto ended up in a genocide timeline!? Kushina was horrified at hearing that her son ended up there of all places…does this mean? Kushina decided to ask as she said

"Son…did you…?" Kushina couldn't finish her question as she was too afraid to know what the answer is. Although Naruto already knew what she was gonna ask and decided to just say it

"No mom, I didn't exactly experience the murders first-hand. The only thing that I came across were the remains of monsters' dust that…Frisk killed around the Underground,"

That was half a lie but also the truth. He may have not witnessed Frisk killing the monsters before his eyes but the memories that PLAYER forced onto him showed him that and even felt as if he was the victim so technically he did and at the same time didn't but they don't need to know about that. Kushina felt relief that he didn't experience the murders but still.

However Naruto continued "But it didn't exactly help with the fact that my experience there was…terrifying and overwhelming. You guys have no idea how bad it was over there. Seeing my friends getting murdered and learning that Frisk of all people was the one that was committing genocide is a…horrific sight that I might not ever forget from this dreadful experience,"

Naruto is well aware that he will forever remember that experience as he cannot make himself forget what he been through. Kushina went to go hug his son which he accepted it with earnest. Everybody was silent as they are taking in this information. If they didn't believe him before, well they definitely believe him now, especially Kushina as she's very much convinced after watching that video feed that it was from another timeline. Frisk was horrified at seeing herself from another timeline committing genocide. It was terrible and to hear that Naruto was at that place just makes it even more terrifying. Asriel was also terrified at what Naruto had gone through as he couldn't imagine what he would do if he had experienced what he did. Red didn't say a word or rather couldn't with her head down and was gripping her skirt tightly. Naruto having to experience genocide and Frisk was the murderer of that timeline. Honestly it made her angry to learn that her friend was forced upon this. It was unfair.

Alphys decided to asked Naruto after both him and Kushina separated from the brief hug, wanting to break the ice "Naruto, there's something that I don't understand about this,"

"What is it?" asked Naruto curiously.

"I-it's just…Why was Frisk doing all of this? Why was she committing genocide? I just don't understand what led her down into such a path,"

Undyne added to the question "Yeah, I too wanna know why she betrayed everyone she knew and decided to go on a killing spree!"

Naruto remained silent for awhile, knowing the truth about why she did it and why she committed genocide from the start but the problem with their question is that it requires explanations about the power of RESET, the three routes and…Asriel being formerly Flowey.

Naruto took awhile to think about this before saying "I know the reason behind the whole genocide mess but before I tell you why, there's something else you all need to know that requires something that is connected to that timeline and ours,"

Papyrus asked with curiosity "What is it, human Naruto?"

Naruto was a bit hesitant but told them "Well…I'm gonna need Frisk & Asriel for this as what I'm about to tell you all involves the three of us," this statement confused everyone, especially Frisk and Asriel for why Naruto needs them for what he's about to tell them.

Sans shared his brother's curiosity as he asked "Why do you need them kid? What's got them connected to that timeline and ours?"

"You all will find out soon, but now I need to speak with both Frisk and Asriel real quick before I continue on," Naruto insisted

After a moment of silence, Asgore spoke up "Very well, I suppose it's alright. Take your time when you're ready to tell us,"

After thanking the kindhearted king, Naruto ushered both Frisk and Asriel out of the living room into a separate one and made sure that they weren't listening in before explaining himself to them "Sorry about pulling you both out of the blue like that,"

Asriel waved him off in understanding "It's ok, It must be something important that you're needed to talk to us first, right?"

Naruto took a deep breath and then said "Yes, it's very important. I've been doing some thinking up until now after my experience in the other timeline and I know this is sudden but…I'm afraid we can't keep our secret from them any longer. We may have to tell them…everything,"

Both Frisk and Asriel look shocked at this but mostly Asriel whose face started to turn a bit pale and he wanted to clarify just to be sure "Y-You don't mean..?"

Naruto sighed at this "Yes Asriel, I'm afraid so. We'll have to tell them everything and I do mean EVERYTHING. The power of RESET, the routes that I know and…you being formally Flowey,"

After hearing this, Asriel's fears were confirmed as he looked even more pale and scared, knowing everyone will learn who was Flowey and was afraid of what their reactions would be. He felt terrified, knowing they'll hate him for the cruel actions he had done as Flowey. Frisk on the other hand looked unsure if they should tell them of their secret but she was more concerned for Asriel than anything else.

"What!? But Naruto, we can't tell them that. We just can't. I'm not ready for them to know the truth!" said Asriel, looking very afraid about this which Naruto was well aware about.

They were hoping that the others would never to know about Asriel being Flowey this whole time and for the better. But it seems that time has caught up to them and given Naruto's unfortunate experience in the genocide timeline and learning the truth behind it, he has to tell them everything. Even it means telling them about Flowey being Asriel.

Naruto grabbed Asriel's shoulders while speaking in a calm voice "Asriel, calm down. I know you don't want them to know about it and neither do we, but what choice do I have? How am I supposed to explain to them in the timeline I was in, Frisk has done more then just one Genocide run?"

Frisk looked at Naruto in horror "Wait, the other me has done what!?"

Naruto sighed and explained further "Yes Frisk. This isn't the first time the other Frisk did a Genocide run. In fact, she's done it twice now and I arrived in that timeline when she started a third run. She's been resetting more then once to the point it lead to committing Genocide. As for the how and why? Well that's the thing, I need to explain to the others about what a RESET is and the 3 routes that I have the knowledge about. If I don't tell them, then how am I supposed to explain that the other Frisk has been resetting the timeline numerous times before, having committed two genocide runs and restarted the timeline again to start a third run before my arrival? They wouldn't understand the concept at all unless we explain it to them. Otherwise, they wouldn't believe me,"

Both Frisk and Asriel began to understand his logic since it makes sense and he's not wrong.

But still Asriel asked "But do they really need to know about me being Flowey though? Can't we just not include that? Perhaps just tell them that both you and Frisk had the power of RESET and leave me out of it? That way, they don't necessarily need to know about the fact I used to have that power before you two showed up,"

Naruto thought about it which actually isn't a bad idea to be honest. However, he felt that it isn't right nonetheless despite this could potentially leave setbacks.

"You're not actually wrong about your suggestion as it could work…however I'm afraid we can't do that," the two were shocked at his rejection of the idea as Asriel asked

"Huh?! But why?"

"Asriel, I'm gonna be honest with you here. How long do you think we can keep this secrecy of ours about you being Flowey? Even if we don't tell them now, at some point in the future, they'll eventually figure it out on their own and soon problems will arise from the fact we hid this information from them. Don't get me wrong, we have every right to not tell them this but…don't you want to lift the weight off of your chest that you hid this from them so you can finally be free and be happy?"

Asriel looked unsure, debating himself then he heard Naruto continue "If we tell them of your past actions as Flowey, you can finally move on and put the past behind you fully. I'm sure they'll understand and won't get mad. It wasn't your fault given you were soulless at the time. But if we don't tell them, there's a 50/50 chance of them figuring it out themselves if given the opportunity. Besides, you're not alone as you have friends and family now. Frisk and I will back you up. If things do get out of hand, I'll handle it. Ok?"

Asriel looked at Naruto then turned to Frisk which she was sporting a smile giving him a thumbs up as her way of saying she's right with him. Asriel smiled as tears dripped his eyes and he hugged Naruto as he said "Ok, we'll tell them. Also thank you Naruto,"

Naruto returned the hug with a smile "Of course Azzy. It's my job as your big bro to look after you when you're feeling down. I'm not letting anything happen to you anymore. We'll get through this together. Can you put your trust in me?"

Asriel looked him in the eyes while giving him a big smile as he replied in confidence "Yes! I trust you completely,"

Naruto smiled at this "Thanks Azzy, I know Frisk's got my back as well right?" Frisk nodded in agreement "Alright, then let's head back with the others. Can't keep them waiting and get this over with. The sooner the better," both Frisk andAsriel nodded as they followed Naruto back to the others in the living room.

As they were heading back, Chara who been watching them heard their whole conversation. It amazed her that Naruto truly cares about Asriel a great deal to the point of calling himself his big brother. Asriel seems to really look up to Naruto and it's not just Asriel but also Frisk. In fact, both of them look up to Naruto as their leader of sorts. It makes her genuinely curious to know just what makes Naruto so special. As the 3 returned to the others who were waiting for them.

"We're back, thanks for the wait,"

Toriel said "It's no problem my child, are you ready to tell us now?"

Naruto nodded in affirmation "Yes but before I get to that, there's something that you all need to know first,"

"What is it human Naruto?" asked Papyrus.

Naruto looked at both Frisk and Asriel for a bit before asking them "Well…Frisk, Asriel and I have talked for a bit and we've decided to tell you our secret that we've kept from you all this time but with good reason,"

Kushina raised an eyebrow in question "And exactly what secret is that, son?"

"Tell me…Do any of you know what this is?"

As he asked that, Naruto stretched his hand out and immediately, a button appeared above his hand that says RESET on it. Everyone looked surprised and amazed at this.

Alphys looked curious at that button and asked "W-What is that?"

"This is a RESET button that I mentioned about. This button has the power to restart this timeline back to the starting moments of our arrival to the Underground, a start over to be exact. It also erases the memories of others who knows and are friends with us and what this timeline has been through. Think of it like something from a video game of sorts. But only ones possesses a SOUL with the highest level of Determination can wield this kind of power with me being the current user,"

Everyone was amazed to learn about this although Sans just stared at the button before asking "Wait. So when were you gonna tell us about that?"

Naruto looked at Sans "To be honest, I don't know. We weren't planning to tell you guys at all or maybe at some point in the future but telling you guys that I have the power to reshape our timeline has some drawbacks and you all probably wouldn't believe me if I were to tell you. There's a reason why we withheld this information from you because this kind of concept is beyond our understanding and no one should have this kind of power and yet…I have it," Sans thought about his reasons which seemed honest so he accepted it as

Alphys was fascinated at this information "This is amazing. I never knew this kind of power exist,"

Undyne agreed albeit warily "Yeah, but it's also kinda scary when you think about it. Anyone would kill just to have that kind of power,"

"You don't know the half of it, Undyne. In fact, none of you do," thought Naruto bitterly, knowing all too well from his experience in the genocide timeline and the memories he was forcefully given by the PLAYER. Chara who was silently watching them looked away in shame and sadness as she heard what Undyne said as she's the person that she would kill just to have that power and abuse it for genocidal purposes.

Alphys asked "So have you used RESET and is it only you who has this power?"

"In our timeline, no I haven't used it and hopefully I never will. But in that other timeline, yes I have and for good reason but I'll get back to that in a moment. As for your other question, No. it's not just me, both me and Frisk have the same power but my Determination overrides hers which ultimately makes me the owner of our timeline. However, we aren't the only one who has this power for there is another who used to have it before our arrival to the Underground,"

This surprised Everyone as well as made them curious as to who else possessed that power?

Alphys asked "R-Really? Who?"

As everyone was awaiting for his answer, Naruto was a bit silent, looking at Asriel who's looking a bit nervous but Naruto took a deep breath and walked towards Asriel, placing a hand on his shoulder to calm him down "The third person who originally had the power of RESET before us was…Asriel,"

Everyone were immediately shocked at this revelation, especially Asgore and Toriel. The latter being more vocal about it "My child. You had this power before?"

Asriel nervously nodded, Asgore then asked "But I don't understand, since when did you have that kind of power?" he was wondering since monsters aren't capable of generating Determination and so how did his son come into possession of the RESET button.

Asriel was beginning to look more nervous which Naruto took notice and asked "Azzy, do you want me to tell them or you'll do it yourself? If you don't want to, I can tell them about it," Asriel looked at him as he steeled his nerves seeing Naruto who was to calm him down.

"No, it's ok Naruto. I'll tell them. I need to come clean if I wanna move on from my past sins," said Asriel with newfound confidence.

Naruto looked him with a proud smile "Ok. Whatever happens, just know me and Frisk got your back," Frisk nodded in agreement, making Asriel smile with confidence.

"Thanks you guys," Asriel looked at the others but mostly Toriel and Asgore as he took in a deep breath before finally answering Asgore's question "The reason I had the power of RESET before Naruto & Frisk was because…I…used to be…Flowey," Everyone was silent after hearing this till Toriel broke the silence

"W-What?" Toriel looked like she was in denial and thought Asriel is joking "My child, please tell me you're joking. Because this isn't funny, you couldn't possibly be that rotten flower. You just couldn't," she felt that Asriel was making a cruel joke and hoped that he wasn't being serious about him being Flowey.

However for Toriel, her fears were confirmed as she and Asgore heard Asriel reaffirm the truth "I'm not joking mom, unfortunately I'm being serious about this,"

Toriel felt devastated at hearing that he was being serious "So then…that means back at the ruins when i attacked that Flower… it was actually you?" Asriel nodded sadly which only made things worse for her as Toriel had her hands on her mouth and was forming tears at learning that she attacked her own son without knowing. She went to go hug Asriel whilst sobbing which only made Asriel to start crying too and he hugged her back while hearing her saying "I'm sorry" a few times.

Everyone looked at this with somber expressions while Asgore wanted to ask "I don't understand. How did our son become a flower in the first place? When did that happen?"

Alphys spoke up while feeling nervous "I-I know the reason behind that whole mess. I-It's all because of…me," Everyone was looking confused minus Naruto and Asriel as they looked at Alphys.

Undyne asked "What do you mean by that? How does this involve you?"

Alphys stated "I-It has everything to do with me. That day when both the First Fallen Human and Asriel died, things were looking downhill for all monster kind. Everyone has lost hope from the devastating loss which resulted in Asgore declaring war towards humanity and to kill any humans who have fallen down in the underground. That only made Toriel not want anything to do with Asgore which only made the whole situation worse. S-So I thought up a plan, a plan to bring back Asriel back to life. I started doing experiments with the extracted Determination or DT for short on a flower that had Asriel's dust onto it after his passing. I injected DT into it to see if the experiment was a success or failure. At first, nothing was working until later I learned that the particular flower that I was experimenting had…escaped from the Lab,"

Everyone was silent, Asgore wanted to say something but he stopped due to the room becoming a bit tense because of Toriel looked conflicted with mixed emotions but mainly anger. Anger at herself for not realizing earlier and anger at Alphys for turning her son into a Flower.

"Toriel, you must understand that it wasn't Alphys' fault if that's what you're currently thinking. Don't be mad at her," said Naruto as he gained Toriel's attention "She only wanted to help both you and Asgore by bringing back your son for what the humans did back then. Besides that's all in the past now. You got your son back, isn't that good enough?"

Toriel thought about it, that it was better than not seeing him anymore. Asgore then spoke up "Naruto speaks the truth. It happened in the past so perhaps it doesn't matter anymore. Right Tori?"

However, this only made Toriel look at him with a stern expression and responded coldly "Don't ever call me 'Tori'. It's Toriel to you, Asgore," After saying that, Asgore looked down, lowering his head in shame and hurt which made everyone feel bad for him.

Undyne however had had enough of Toriel's hostile behavior towards Asgore and decided to put this problem to rest once and for all "Alright, that's it! This grudge of yours Toriel has gone on long enough. It's about time for you get over it!" Toriel looked surprised at this then turned to anger

"Excuse me!? I will not get over it, not after what he has done!" said Toriel which only made Undyne angry as they both argued with each other

"Well at least he tried to help the monster kind to be free and what did you do? That's right: you left him! You left us all! He had to handle the responsibility of giving us hope, while you went to hiding. Where were you when he needed the support from the burden of shouldering our hopes and dreams? Huh?! Why can't you just give him another chance? He's trying to make it up to you and you never gave him a chance!"

Toriel angrily responded "You wanna know why?! Because I don't want anything to do with that heartless monster. There were other options to be free from the barrier but instead, he declared that any human who has fallen down will put to death and the six fallen humans were children for god sake! Children who had families and he took them away just to get the SOULs!"

Undyne winced at this, unable to refute that fact but refused to back down "There weren't any other options! We tried what we can but to no success. Plus what about your son huh?! The humans took him away from you and Asgore too! We only wanted peace but they didn't allow that, instead they killed your son because of what he is. Aren't you angry about what they did?! I understand what we did was not right but the humans weren't innocent either. They started first, we just retaliated!"

Toriel then said "That doesn't mean we should respond with violence! We'll be no different than them and of course I was angry for what they did! But that doesn't mean we should kill off anyone who's fallen down!"

"Why not? You're saying we should let ourselves submit to them, kick over and take that it's not theirs?! You're a hypocrite from your point of view!"

That made Toriel pissed off as she began to activate her fire magic, scaring Asriel and Frisk including the others with Undyne about to summon her spear "How dare you…,"

But before this continued on, Naruto had lost most of his patience with this nonsense as he stood up with his eyes radiating with a white fiery aura and yelled out "ENOUGH!" he released his power which made the both Toriel & Undyne stop from their argument and possibly a fight, making everyone looking at Naruto in shock at the display of his power.

Sans spoke out in awe "Whoa kid, your eyes...,"

Naruto took in a deep breath and exhaled to calm down himself down before speaking "It's fine. Also sorry about my outburst but this argument needs to stop. Toriel, I understand where you're going with this but I think you should give Asgore a second chance. Give the big guy a break. Surely you're not planning on holding a grudge against him for eternity right? If you can't do that for him, then do it for you son. Do it for Asriel. He missed you guys when you both were together and wanted to be a happy family again,"

Toriel was silent about this for she doesn't know if should she continue to hold a grudge against Asgore which the minority of her heart said yes she should because Asgore is a heartless monster, but there is still a part of her that misses him when they were happy. As she was thinking, Kushina decided to speak

"While it's not my place to say in this subject but in my opinion, I believe my son is right. I think you should at least give Asgore a chance. I mean don't you think he's had enough? He's trying to atone for his past decisions and making up for it. He's doing this for you in hopes of earning your forgiveness. Plus, it's only natural he would feel rage for the loss of both your son as well as the first fallen human which would only make him take irrational decisions. If anything, you could have stopped him had you remained behind and he would have listened to you. I can understand that you were upset but you also failed to realize the sorrow that would take the place of anger soon after. The bottom line is what happened back then is in the past and that monster kind is no longer trapped Underground anymore. You're living up on the surface with us humans now. Don't you think it's about time for you move on?"

Kushina's words really made Toriel ponder over her options, even Naruto added to it "Also just make things even clearer, if you're still thinking that Asgore killed those children for their SOULs by himself, then that wasn't the case,"

Toriel look a bit surprised by this and asked "What do you mean?"

"What I mean is Asgore never killed the six fallen humans. In fact, throughout our travel in the Underground; Frisk, Nikan and I had been discovering items that belonged to each of the six fallen humans in different locations. Asgore never had the chance of killing the children and most likely they were killed by one of the monster residents and brought their SOULs to Asgore himself. He'd never done the deed so in a way, he's innocent. He may have ordered it but never committed it himself,"

Toriel was shocked about this information and wanted to confirm it herself "Asgore, is this true? You didn't kill them yourself?"

Asgore shook his head sadly "No Toriel, I never killed them. I was only given their SOULs by one of the royal guards or the residents. Personally, I'm very glad that I didn't do so. I wasn't sure what I would do if one of them actually had managed to reach me and I couldn't stomach the thought of going through my intentions. After you left and having to shoulder the burden of our hopes and dreams, I began regretting my decision but if I didn't do anything, I would be letting everyone down for nothing. Every death of the six fallen children and acquiring their SOULs was a step closer to gaining our freedom, I began regretting everything what I did and wished that things had happened differently but what's done is done and there's nothing I could do to change that. Toriel…I'm deeply sorry for my rash decisions. I wasn't thinking clearly of the consequences and your feelings after our children died and I regretted it every day, wishing it never came to it. Please just…give me a second chance? I missed how we used to be. I just wanted us to be together again, but if you still don't have it in your heart to forgive me, then I understand,"

Toriel didn't know what to say or what to think. All this time she had believed that Asgore was nothing but an evil tyrant who only cared about getting revenge by getting all seven human SOULs to break free of the barrier and wage war against humanity, but after hearing that he'd never done the deed which was a relief to hear and he actually regretted what he did, she just couldn't find it in her heart to hold a grudge against him. And truth be told, there are a few number of times where she missed the old days when they were a family again before their children's death. So many things had happened and changed and none for the better. So if what they're saying is true then perhaps she can let go of her hatred towards him.

Toriel gave it some thought and finally made her decision "Alright Asgore, if what you're telling me is true and you truly regret your mistake…then I suppose I'll grant you a second chance,"

Asgore was surprised to hear and but looked hopeful to hear it "Really? You mean that?"

Toriel nodded in response "Yes I do. I'll forgive you. However, that doesn't mean we're back together. You're going to have to earn it. If you want my trust, love and affection for you again, you're going to have to prove yourself and work for it. Can you do that?"

Asgore smiled and nodded eagerly "O-Of course, no matter what it takes, I'll do it for us. I promise!"

Toriel looked at him for a bit before smiling a little "I'll hold you up to that promise. Just don't make me regret giving you that second chance,"

"I won't," Everyone was happy for this moment as Toriel seemed to finally forgive him.

Papyrus said "Wowie! I'm so happy for them to make up,"

Sans said "Yup bro. Ain't that swell sight. Would have brought tears to my eyes if I had any tear glands," making the young skeleton groan at his brother ruing the moment with one of his lame skeleton jokes.

Even Undyne said "It's about time, I hate having to see the former king looking down in the dumps at those times!"

Alphys agreed, feeling that her favorite shipping is back "At least it's a start, hopefully they'll eventually get together again,"

Naruto was also smiling at this display along with Frisk, Asriel and Red. Anyways Naruto gained their attention by speaking up "Well I'm glad that you gave Asgore another chance Toriel and I'm proud of you for it. And I'm happy for you as well Asgore. But I think we are getting off track here. Let's get back to what I was going discuss about, which is Asriel being the first and original owner of the RESET button," everyone nodded and listened attentively

"Anyways, back to the subject at hand, Asriel was indeed Flowey back then and he once had the power of RESET at his disposal before Frisk and I showed up. If Alphys gave him DT during his sudden return, then it's likely of how he got it from Alphys story. Asriel was the first to have that before the both of us. Now I don't know what he did with that power as Flowey before our arrival but it's Asriel's choice in telling you all that. Though personally in my opinion, it's better that you don't need to know since it's irrelevant to us now. Don't you agree Asriel?" said Naruto, looking at Asriel pointedly.

The young Dreemurr seemed to caught on what Naruto is implying and he fully agreed given his numerous past resets as Flowey were not good ones and probably doesn't want them to know and as Naruto stated before, it's irrelevant. Everyone was confused and skeptical about that but for the life of them, they chose to not voice it and just move on.

Naruto then said "Alright, now you all know about the power of RESET that we held but mostly me and even showed it to you all. Now I can move onto the next part that involves RESET's…routes,"

"Um, routes?" asked Alphys confusedly

Naruto nodded in affirmation "Yes routes. You see, there are 3 different routes that I know of that you start off the moment you fall into the Underground. The 3 route paths are Neutral, Pacifist or Genocide. Neutral run means kill some monsters which me, Frisk and Nikan never did. Pacifist run means sparing everyone which we are right now. As for Genocide…well I think you all get the general idea from that video footage alone,"

Sans decided to ask Naruto "That's sounds very informative but let me ask you something, how did you learn this information?"

"How do I know this? Well it's because I have experience it and it's not just me but Frisk and Nikan as well. For me, Frisk and Nikan in our timeline, we started off from Neutral run as we had no idea what to expect after we both fell into the underground until later. As I mentioned before, we never killed anyone until we were forced to fight Asgore which we convinced him to stop the fight. Things were looking great until…Flowey got behind Asgore and killed him while taking the 6 SOULs which we were forced to fight him as he absorbed the souls which made him an overgrown weed," Everyone was shocked at this information, especially Asgore about Flowey who was formerly Asriel…killed him and took the souls himself. He doesn't know what to think about the fact his son killed him. But it happened in a different timeline so he calmed himself while listening.

"Afterwards, we got freed but didn't save the monsters until Flowey told us a way to go back which we load our SAVE file which we came back mere moments before confronting Asgore in the throne room. Which led to the Pacifist run which you all know what happened with Flowey and the SOULs incident right?" asked Naruto to which everyone nodded as they still recall what happened back then "Now that you guys know about the two routes and the power of RESET, this brings us the worst path of anyone would do being the Genocide run which you all watched that video from a different timeline. In fact, this brings back to the question both Alphys and Undyne asked. You two as well as everyone else wanna know why Frisk was committing genocide and what led her down the path she chose?" everyone nodded because they really want to know why "Well it's a bit complicated but I'll try to give the answer as understanding as possible. The reason Frisk started genocide was out of…curiosity,"

"…,"

Everyone was silent till Undyne angrily yelled "WHAT!? You telling us she murdered us and exterminated monster kind just to satisfy her curiosity!? Why?!"

Naruto calmly answered "Well curiosity can be a dangerous thing anymore could have depending on the specific person, especially Determined types,"

"You don't say…" as she looked at Frisk as if she's judging her. Frisk noticed this and felt intimidated at Undyne's intense gaze and went to hide behind Naruto timidly.

Naruto didn't like what Undyne is doing so he decided to get this out of the way by saying "Undyne, if you're assuming Frisk would do the same here then drop it. She would never consider the idea of genocide nor will she ever do it,"

Undyne didn't look convinced "What makes you think she won't? From what we witnessed in the video footage from that timeline, there's a good chance that little punk could try and pull a stunt by lowering our guard down,"

Toriel didn't like how Undyne is already suspecting her child to commit the act of murder "Undyne!"

"No! If that Frisk is capable of slaughtering us and committing genocide on a whim, then what's not to say our Frisk would do the same here!"

Naruto then raised his voice angrily and his eyes flickered a bit "Because she wouldn't do such a thing and never will! I'm the only owner of our timeline given I'm the most Determined so there's nothing to worry about at all. Now, drop this nonsense. RIGHT. NOW!"

Undyne growled at this as she noticed everyone was looking at her with disappointment while Frisk looked a bit afraid at Undyne's accusations. Undyne calmed down as she looked away in shame "Sorry…I didn't mean to call Frisk out. I'm just angry that Frisk would go and do such a horrible thing to us. How exactly is she able to kill us? Especially the royal guards and me who's a captain? Just how?"

Naruto let out sigh "Remember how I mentioned about a SAVE file and LOAD button that we used to save all monster kind? Well it also grants us the ability to cheat…death,"

Everyone then shouted "WHAT!?"

"B-But how is that possible?" asked Alphys

"It's because of the power of Determination that a Human SOUL has. A Determined person like me or Frisk can persist beyond death which allows us to not die immediately but simply come back. How? It's because of a SAVE point that only me and Frisk can see. Think of it like a respawn which actually is the case. Now if we die, our Soul would shatter and we would end up in a dark screen that says 'GAME OVER' on it which gives you the option to try again by either LOAD your last SAVE file or CONTINUE where you left off. Not only that, after losing the battle against who we fight, we come back after knowing the person strategy and patterns which is probably the Frisk's case in that other timeline," Naruto took a deep breath from explaining all this as he sees everyone's shocked expression though he noticed Sans' eyes are dark as if he's pondering over this information.

Naruto made a statement "Now I know some of you think it's like a game of sorts but the sad truth is…it's exactly like a game. And just to point it out, no, me and Frisk don't see it as a game," Everyone didn't seem to like this info, especially Sans. However they let Naruto continue

"For that genocide timeline, this is where things get a bit complicated. You see, in that timeline, Frisk has done countless resets just find something new. Given she's done a lot of pacifist runs, she's gotten bored from doing the same thing and nothing different has changed. Which leads to the next problem. Frisk was greeted by someone, an outside force, who gave Frisk the idea which was for her to commit genocide. At first, Frisk didn't give in until her curiosity got the better of her and went with it. Of course she regretted almost immediately the moment she reached the judgment hall," said Naruto as he doesn't want them to know that said outside force is Chara who's the first fallen human who was consumed by her own HATE that made her become a genocidal maniac.

Red for the first time decided to ask him "Naruto, if you don't mind me asking, who is this 'outside force' you're mentioning?"

And Undyne asked "And why did Frisk regret after arriving the Judgement hall?"

Naruto then said "Well for your question Red…let's just say this person is close to the Dreemurr Family and leave it at that. As for your question Undyne…well all I can say is she was given a "Bad Time" until she caved in and gave up,"

After saying that particular line, Sans looked a bit surprised as he silently looked at Naruto since that line sounds like something he would say.

Anyways Naruto continued on "However that outside force wouldn't allow that and made her finish the job herself which resulted in…erasing that timeline to start anew," Everyone was shocked as Naruto continued "She did the same routine in the second run without issue until the third run which I come in," Naruto looked down as the memories of his experience as well of the memories PLAYER gave him flashed through his mind, making him clench his fists.

"At first, I was confused as to why that portal brought me to the Underground until I discovered the scattered dust all over the place which told me I'm not in the same Underground that I knew and learnt I was taken to another timeline where genocide was taking place and then later discovered that it was Frisk who was the cause of that mess…it left me shaken and devastated that one of my closest friends would ever do such a terrible act,"

Everyone was stunned and saddened that Naruto was forced to witness and experience all that, especially Frisk, Red, Asriel and Nikan. Heck, unaware to everyone, Chara who has been watching and listening was feeling bad, she looked away while feeling responsible for it due to her own HATE that led her down that genocidal path and forced the other Frisk to commit the murders. They all heard Naruto continue

"So I had to figure something on how to leave that timeline but mostly I want to stop that madness from continuing the cycle so I had to…confront Frisk,"

Kushina shouted in horror "Naruto! That's very dangerous. Why would you confront her, who's a murderer of that timeline!?"

Naruto countered with his own reasons "Because I had no choice! What was I supposed to do, go run and hide? If I didn't do anything, then I would be stuck there without any help and their deaths would be on my conscience that I could have done something to help rather then do nothing!" That got Kushina to remain silent at this as she didn't know what to say which made Naruto allow to continue further "Despite it wasn't my timeline and it wasn't any of my business, I still wanted to help. Figuring out why Frisk would ever go down the path of genocide in the first place. I needed answers so…my best bet was reaching Frisk myself. Given that I arrived mere moments after Frisk left the Ruins to Snowdin, I had to catch up to her. It wasn't pleasant having to see monster dust scattered everywhere but I knew that have to get to her in order to find out the truth,"

Alphys asked, breaking the sudden silence in the room "W-Were there any survivors that you encountered?"

"Well aside from you, I did encounter Sans in that timeline which was after Frisk…killed Papyrus," After saying that, Sans eyes went dark as his expression looked emotionless while Papyrus looked horrified, sad and betrayed. Everyone else was horrified about this news but was surprised that Sans survived and his brother was not.

But Naruto didn't stop there as he said "And later on, I eventually encountered Flowey as well while I was in New Home. Apparently, he didn't like how things were looking but he was among the few who survived the encounter of Frisk's murderous rampage,"

Undyne then asked "What about Asgore? Did he survive?"

Naruto thought for a moment before replying "Well, I don't know but I assume he did survive given Frisk didn't make it far to the end, so yes,"

"If he survived then how come he didn't do anything to prevent any of this?" Toriel asked confusedly.

Naruto who looked unsure as he said "I…honestly don't know. My best guess is he doesn't know how to react at the fact a single human who's capable of wiping out every monster she sees is shocked and doesn't know how to act to this. Given his monster kind is on the verge of extinction, he just…remained at his throne hoping someone could stop her instead of doing this himself," Everyone didn't seem to like this news. Even Asgore felt nothing but disappointment to his other self for his lack of doing something to stop this madness even if it looked inevitable.

Frisk who decided to ask Naruto about something "So…were you able to stop the other me?"

Naruto nodded in response "Yeah, I did but I wasn't alone though,"

Curious about the answer, Asriel asked "You weren't? Then who helped you?"

Even Red asked "Yeah, I'm curious to know who aided you in stopping the other Frisk?"

Naruto remained silent at this as he thought "I'm not sure what to expect from them cause I don't think they know that Sans is the Royal Judge. But first I need to ask just to be sure and hopefully nothing bad comes out of this," After giving some thought, he asked them a question "Before I tell you who helped me, does anyone know "who" is the royal judge?" As expected, everyone minus Frisk and Asriel, looked confused as they all shook their heads as they have know idea who, except Asgore who looked a bit surprised and a bit concerned at that question.

Not only that, Sans looked a bit pale as he already realized what Naruto is doing. His thoughts were "What are you doing, kid?"

And Asgore's thoughts were "Is Naruto planning on revealing San's secret?"

Naruto notices the looks that both Asgore and Sans were giving him which made him decide to talk to them first before telling the others who. He said "Alright well since no one knows who's the royal judge is, I'm gonna need to speak with Asgore and Sans a bit before I tell you. We'll take a small break once we come back,"

Naruto motioned for both Sans and Asgore to follow him which they did as he led them out of the living room into the room from before, then he turned to clarify a few things

"Alright so I'm just gonna get straight to the point, I take it nobody in the Royal Guard knows that Sans is the Royal Judge which I assume you kept this a secret, Asgore. Am I correct?" asked Naruto seriously.

Asgore looked a bit surprised at his bluntness but nonetheless responded "Yes it's true, I did kept that information a secret from the royal guard but how do you know about that?"

"Well since I asked about that question, I was observing everyone's reactions to see if anyone knew about who's the royal judge which nobody but me and Frisk know about which I was half expecting that. Plus I noticed you looked a bit surprised after my question and as for Sans…well given his expression it looks to me he doesn't want anyone to know about it though I do wonder why. Is there a reason for keeping that a secret?"

Neither Sans nor Asgore said anything for a few moments until Asgore spoke up "Well…it's more of me giving him that position because he's good at judging people depending on the person's character in general if any fallen humans would ever get far in reaching the Judgment Hall and him taking care of his brother,"

Naruto hummed thoughtfully "I see, it's understandable but don't you guys think it's time for them to know now? The Royal Guard is disbanded and you guys are living up here with us now. At this time, there's no point in keeping it a secret from anyone now, don't you think?"

Asgore thought about it and saw that Naruto does have a point "I suppose you're right about that but…I feel this is Sans' decision if he wants it to be known to them,"

"Fair enough. Well, what do you think Sans? You haven't said anything at this point. Are you alright with them knowing you're the Royal Judge? Well…formerly at this case,"

After asking Sans this question, he was in deep thought while still sporting that smile of his and decided to answer him "Heh, I guess it's alright to tell them. I mean, I became a Royal Judge just to take care of my brother. But gotta be honest with you kid, even if you tell them about me being a Royal Judge, some may not believe that. Especially Undyne,"

Naruto quirked an eyebrow at that and asked "Why? What makes you say that?"

Sans went on to explain "Well for one, given my reputation of me being a lazy skeleton, they'll never believe someone like me can be a Royal Judge. Plus, they'll also take into account that I don't have magic and I only have 1 HP which makes me the weakest monster. So do you really think that if you tell them about my status, they'll take your word for it?"

"You make a good point about that. But it's up to them if they wanna believe it. I'm not gonna force them for evidence, I'm just merely stating the facts,"

"Yeah, you're definitely right about that. Either way, I'm ok with you telling them. Plus it would be funny to see what their reactions would be like,"

Naruto shook his head in amusement "Only you would find that funny…but it does make me curious though. Anyways, let's get back to the others,"

With that said, Naruto, Asgore and Sans returned back to the others in the living room with the blonde calling out to them "Thanks for the wait again,"

Undyne was looking rather impatient "Yeah no problem, so tell us who's the Royal Judge that helped you stop the brat?"

Naruto was silent for a bit before answering her "Believe it or not, the royal judge who helped me is…Sans,"

"WHAT! Sans the royal guard?!" Undyne screamed out in disbelief

Naruto sighed at her expected reaction"That's what I just said,"

"But that's not possible! How can someone like him who's so lazy be the royal judge? You have to be joking punk. Did Sans put you up to this? Because if so, he got me, hahaha. But seriously, who's REALLY the Royal Judge?"

"Who said it was a joke, that was the truth. Sans is a Royal Judge,"

Undyne didn't look convinced at all "But that can't be right. Him being the Royal Judge? I can't see him being one. I mean, I bet he doesn't even have magic,"

Sans finally chose to speak up "Undyne, it's up to you whether you believe it or not, Naruto's not one to lie. He's been telling the truth this entire time. So I'm just saying that you should believe what he tells you. You never know what you might wanna hear,"

Undyne looked at Sans then back to Naruto before letting out a groan "Fine, I trust his word for it but I don't understand. If what you're saying is true then…how come nobody in the royal guard knew about this?"

Asgore decided to answer her question "That's because I gave him that position… in secret,"

Undyne looked shocked at hearing this and asked "You kept this from us? Why? What reason do you feel the need to keep his status from the royal guard? Even me, their captain?"

"It's mostly because of me taking care of my bro. I mean we needed the money so king fluffy buns here offered me to become a Royal Judge. That and aside from being a watcher of course," Sans explained to prevent any misconceptions

Papyrus looked at Sans in shock "Sans…you did all that for me?"

Sans shrugged in response "Sure bro," this made Papyrus go over to Sans and hug his lazy brother.

Undyne smiled at this, though still skeptical about him being the Royal Judge but at this point, it doesn't matter now since the royal guard has been disbanded after living with humans in the surface so she just had to accept this info.

"Alright, I'll take your word Sans. If Asgore kept this a secret and Naruto knows about this and vouches you, then you must be strong. I'm still skeptical about this though. Do you even have magic?" asked Undyne due to her curiosity.

Naruto decided to answer her question "Oh he definitely does, you have no idea. And yes, he does have magic. He's just too lazy to even attempt it unless provoked or being threatened,"

Undyne shrugged, understanding that signature aspect of the skeleton but still asked "Ok so if he's that strong, how was he in the other timeline?"

Naruto was a bit hesitant but answered her "Quite brutal to say the least. As we teamed up against Frisk, he didn't show any mercy at all and was quite…intimidating. He didn't even flinch from…killing Frisk…numerous times as we fought her,"

Everyone was shocked at hearing this while Sans eyes turned dark upon learning about this information and Toriel had her hands covered her mouth, gasping at hearing Sans having killed Frisk more then once?!

However, Undyne looked surprised and curious "Wait really?! Wow! I'm actually impressed for someone so lazy to do anything was able to beat that punk! That makes me wanna see what he can do…but you didn't do-,'

Naruto cuts her off immediately "No, I didn't kill her. Despite what she's done which would've warranted me of doing so, I just gave Sans some support as he's mostly the one that's been killing her. Even though she could just simply come back through a Save Point, I still wouldn't have it in me to commit the deed,"

This gave everyone relief to hear, especially Kushina for she didn't want to imagine her son committing the act of killing at such a young age, despite he had a reason for it.

Toriel looked torn from all this as she spoke out "I-I don't understand, why couldn't Sans keep our promise?"

Naruto looked at her in question as she mentioned that then he remembered what it was from his talk with Sans at MTT resort "You're referring your promise to Sans about looking after Frisk and myself or in this case, the other Frisk, right?" Toriel was a bit surprise about him knowing but nodded since she suspected that Sans would have told him and Frisk.

Naruto sighed while he ruffled his hair until finally speaking up "Toriel, I know this is hard for you to hear this but you need to understand that Frisk is going around killing monsters without remorse out of curiosity and Sans had to witness the horrors of genocide and the loss of his brother a couple of times from Frisk cutting him down. Can you really expect Sans to keep a promise for you to keep an eye of Frisk to keep her safe when that said person is going around committing genocide? Because if you ask me, nobody can keep a promise from all that. Sans did attempt to try to talk her way out of this but proved to be pointless. I'm sorry Toriel,"

Toriel was silent about all this as she just sat there while coping with this information she was given. Wanting to comfort her, Asgore hesitantly at first but took the courage to place his hand on her shoulder. At first, she didn't respond to his gesture but eventually she leaned into his while still in thought of what she had learnt from the information given by Naruto.

Naruto was a bit concerned for Toriel "Do you need a break to clear your mind or…,"

Toriel shook her head with a sad smile "No, there's no need my child. From what…the other Frisk has done, I understand what you're telling me. In fact, I don't blame the other Sans for his decision because of the situation he was in. So I shouldn't expect him to keep his promise from all that he had to witness and endure. At least he tried to keep his promise by steering Frisk to the right path but…clearly she didn't. So I understand what he had to do. I just wish the other Frisk didn't go through with all this in the first place,"

Everyone was silent from this with Asgore continuing to comfort her which she accepted his concern. Even Frisk and Asriel got off from their spot of the couch and went to hug Toriel, making her smile at their tenderness as she placed her hands on top of their heads to thank them. Everyone smiled at their moment with Papyrus and Alphys squealing out at their cute moment. Even Kushina was happy for them and prayed things get better for both Toriel and Asgore to rekindle their affection for each other again. As for Naruto, he too was smiling and happy at their wholesome moment as they were hugged Toriel for comfort. To Naruto, it was like a big happy family…well almost a big happy family.

Naruto glanced over to his right shoulder to see Chara watching them with envy then looked away while wishing that she was with them but she's not among the living anymore, let alone a part of this timeline's Dreemurr family which she felt nothing but sadness, hatred for how things turned out for her in the end which led to where she is now and jealousy for Naruto along with Frisk for having everything they have while she has nothing. Them saving all monster kind, living with them on the surface, having friends & family and…saving Asriel.

She was felt so much emotions all at once and was struggling to keep them in check, believing that she doesn't deserve to have a second chance and should just disappear, to never exist. It was unbearable for her to witness their moment when she couldn't. Just thinking about her past up to her becoming a murderous megalomaniac made her almost shed tears as she couldn't hold back her emotions that she kept them down for so long until this point.

Seeing Chara's mental state which looks like she's about have a breakdown, Naruto already had a feeling of what she was currently thinking about and so called out to her mentally "Chara, I know what you were thinking and if you're blaming yourself to where this led you to now, it's not your fault. I understand, you're not entirely to blame as your own HATE consumed you and made you a maniac. Plus, I'll always be here for you if you ever wanna talk about it. I hope you know that,"

Chara looked at Naruto for a bit before smiling a bit as she wiped her stray tears "Heh, thanks whiskers. I appreciate your concern. Though I don't know if your friends will say the same if they learned who was responsible for the events that occurred in my old timeline,"

Naruto knows what she's talking about then gave her his thoughts about it "Well, you'll never know. But I think they'll understand if they know the truth behind all this,"

"Can you really say that once they learn that I was responsible for the whole mess and my own HATE was the cause of everything which led up to genocide in the first place?"

"…," Naruto didn't say a word since he couldn't really predict what could happen because it depends on what his friends' views might be towards her. He knows some might not trust her but beyond that…he's honestly unsure.

Seeing Naruto being silent which showed that he doesn't have a clear answer, Chara spoke "Yeah, didn't think so. But who knows, I could be wrong so…I'll just take your word for it,"

"Thanks for your understanding,"

The ghost girl simply rolled her eyes before replying "Yeah sure, whatever whiskers,"

After his brief talk with Chara, he heard Red ask a question "As much I enjoy seeing the Dreemurr family having a touching moment, did you and the other Sans…defeat Frisk?"

That question got everyone's attention as Frisk and Asriel went back to their spot on the couch beside Red while Asgore went back to his own spot after making sure Toriel felt a bit better now before they all gave their undivided attention to Naruto.

Naruto answered Red's question "Yeah, we did. It wasn't easy but we were able to stop her but then…one thing led one thing to another after beating Frisk,"

"What do you mean by that?" Alphys asked confusedly

"Well…after stopping Frisk, things got from bad to worse in the end for me. That certain someone I mentioned before was a part of it and appeared after beating Frisk,"

Undyne who listening started thinking while feeling a bit irritated of not knowing the name he mentioned earlier before "That 'certain someone' again he mentioned before. Why couldn't he just say the name of this person? Is it someone that one of us knows?"

As she was contemplating on her thoughts, Alphys was in the same boat as well "There it is with this 'certain someone' again. Who could it be that he's talking about?"

While they're curious on who this certain someone is, Naruto was still talking "After beating that said someone, I ended up facing a threat greater than her which quickly proved to be the toughest fight of my life. I had some close calls from my experience in that timeline but in the end, I managed to save that timeline and I made it back to my own timeline safe and sound,"

Kushina curiously asked Naruto about something "So, how exactly did you get back to our timeline?"

"Let's just say, I made a particular friend that brought me back here who was the cause of sending me to that genocide timeline through her portal she created in the first place,"

"Wait, did you say 'her' and 'she'? So this person is a female?"

"Sorry but that's all I'll be mentioning about. It's…complicated for me as I'm still coming to terms from what I learned and experienced,"

Kushina wanted to press for answers but due to what her son had experienced, she decided to drop the subject. Besides the only thing that matters to her is his son's safe return.

"Anyways," Naruto then concludes "That was it...that's my entire story from my sudden disappearance, where I ended up and my sudden return and the abilities Frisk, Asriel and I possess and the timelines. Everything. I told you guys the truth, from what you do with this information is entirely up to you but from your opinions, what do you all think about all this?"

Everyone was silent as nobody could imagine the experience he went through. Kushina then spoke up "You wanna know what we think? Well let me be the first to tell you as I speak for everyone is that…I believe you,"

Naruto looked at her as he said "Huh?"

"I said I believe you. Despite this whole story of yours to be considered far-fetched and unbelievable to hear, but the evidence you shared with that video and your abilities to control this timeline and…well everything, I say all of it is believable. Plus, I'm just happy that you returned to us unharmed and back home where you belong," Everyone nodded in agreement as Kushina went to go hug Naruto.

After finishing their little moment, Naruto spoke "Well everyone, thanks for listening to my story. I hope the information I gave you all was insightful. I'm just glad I'm back home in my own timeline. With that being said, you can all go back home and thank you for your time,"

However Undyne interjected "Hold on there Naruto, there's something I've been wanting to ask that's been bugging me for a while,"

"Alright, what's your question?" asked Naruto confusedly

Undyne then demanded "You keep mentioning about this 'certain someone' for a while but you never mention this person's name. Not only that, you even said 'her' and 'she' which means this person is female. So I wanna know is…who is that person? Does she have a name? Tell us,"

Even Alphys chipped in "I-I agree with Undyne, this person you're not telling sounds suspicious so we just wanna know who's the mysterious person you're avoiding to tell us,"

Naruto was silent, he was hoping they wouldn't ask him that question. He wasn't sure what their reactions would be like, especially Asriel and the Dreemurr family if he were to tell them about Chara. It will affect them greatly if they were to learn about her involvement in the genocide timeline.

Before he can utter a word, he heard Chara's voice "Hey Whiskers, if you want let me speak to them,"

Naruto looked surprised at this while unsure of the idea "Chara, are you sure this is a good idea to talk to them? You realize if I were to let you take control to speak to them, not only would you reopen bad wounds to the Dreemurr Family, especially Asriel into believing that you're alive and returned to them despite you're a different Chara of another timeline, but you would have to tell them that you're responsible for the horrible genocide runs you committed due to your HATE. I can't guarantee how they're gonna react once they learn that you're the true culprit. Worst case scenario, they might hate you for it and won't ever forgive you,"

"Yes, I'm aware of that and still intend on doing this, unless you have a better idea of telling them yourself whiskers?"

"…," Naruto was silent as he doesn't have any ideas which only proves her point.

"I didn't think so. Besides, I want to do this to help you. Don't get me wrong, I shouldn't even consider doing this. Part of me thinks this is dumb and just keep myself silent and never know about my existence here, but I want to make up for the damage I caused you and my old timeline. I need to redeem myself if I truly deserve a second chance. You may have given me an opportunity of a second chance but I don't expect them to do the same. Especially Undyne and Sans. They may hate or don't trust but to me, that's fine. I'm not asking for their forgiveness. That's their choice and I'll accept whatever their views of me will be. The only thing I'm asking of them is to allow me to live in your timeline to start anew. That's all I'm asking for. If they can't accept me…then maybe I don't deserve to be given a second chance or live here in your timeline if I'll forever will be unwelcome and alone. But at least I'll have you since I'm literally bound to your soul so not all is bad for me. Anyways, just let me try and speak to them, whiskers. Can you allow me to take control until then?"

Naruto was very unsure about this, weighing the pros & cons of this request while the others were looking at him waiting for his response and Undyne looking more impatient

"Well? Are you gonna tells us or what!?" Undyne asked in annoyance

Naruto doesn't seem to have an alternative answer for this and he seems he has no choice right now but to…allow Chara to take control in order to speak to them "Alright Chara, I'll let you take control of my body to speak to them. But if things go south and gets out of hand, I'm taking back control,"

Chara understood and nodded to him which Naruto thought "This is probably gonna be the worst decision I've ever made but…I don't have any other options right now. I'm hoping nothing goes wrong after this,"'

After making up his mind, Naruto to the others "Alright, I'll tell you who's the mysterious person I've mentioned but I have a better idea. Instead of me telling you who, how about I show you all instead. I''' bringing in someone who I'm sure the Dreemurr Family will know, essentially you Asriel. Just…keep in mind that I'll be out for a while but I'll be listening in. Try to stay calm once you find out who I'm revealing to you all,"

After giving them a fair warning, he told Chara "Alright,go ahead," Chara nodded and flew right into Naruto's body which made him gasp and slumped down with his head down preventing everyone to see his face. At first, they looked confused while Kushina found this a joke and thinking he's playing.

"Naruto, now's not the time to be playing around," said Kushina, she gets a reply but for some reason, it was a female's voice as 'he' replied

"Naruto isn't here right now Ms Kushina," the sudden change in the voice threw everyone everyone off.

But hearing that particular voice made The Dreemurr Family especially Asriel widen their eye as Toriel muttered "Wait, that voice. I know this particular voice…it sounded like…" as she was talking, even Asriel recognized that voice. It was the voice of someone he missed so much since…

Before he could think any further, Undyne demanded "What is this? Who are you!? How is Naruto speaking like a girl?"

'Naruto' retorted rudely "That's because this isn't Naruto you're all speaking to, fish sticks,"

"What?"

"Allow me to introduce myself to you all," whilst saying that, 'Naruto' face was lifted up and revealed something different about his eyes. Instead of blue eyes he always has, it's now crimson red like blood that gave him an intimidating look "Greetings, My name is Chara. I will be taking over in his stead for the time being. For now, I will answer your questions that regards to me until you're satisfied,"

After introducing herself, everyone was beyond shocked at this new development, especially the Dreemurr Family as they couldn't believe what they just heard, in fact they didn't wanna believe it for it sounded too good to be true.

Toriel muttered silently "C-Chara? Is that really you?"

Chara looked at the Dreemurr Family and she could tell that they were begging to know if this is really her and not some sick joke. Especially Asriel who looked desperate upon seeing his first best friend while holding back his tears.

Chara then confirmed their thoughts vocally "Yes, it's really me,"

On queue, the Dreemurr Family went to hug Chara as they cried in pure joy at seeing her again. Despite they're technically hugging Naruto, but Chara is currently in control so this is fine.

After separated, Asriel stepped forward as he couldn't hold back as he hugged her while crying which made Chara tease him "You're still the cry-baby that I remember,"

Hearing that made Asriel fully convinced that it's definitely Chara. "I'm so glad you're back Chara, I missed you so much,"

Chara while shedding tears of her own "I missed you too…Azzy,"

As they hugged it out, everyone finds this a beautiful sight, especially to Papyrus as he was once again squealing at this sight. Although both Undyne and Sans did find it a nice reunion, they still couldn't help but wonder where she come from.

Alphys then spoke up "A-As much is I don't wanna ruin this touching moment but, what is the First Fallen Human soul doing in Naruto's body?"

Undyne added to the question "Yeah I wanna know about that too, so what's going on?"

Asriel looked them confusedly "What do you mean? Chara is from here, don't be rude,"

However Chara said "I'm not your Chara, Asriel,"

"W-What do you mean?"

"What I mean is, I'm not the Chara of your timeline but rather…the Genocide timeline,"

Hearing this news left everyone in shock and disbelief, especially the Dreemurr Family and Asriel while Undyne and Sans narrowed their eyes at Chara.

Asgore then spoke "Y-You're from that horrible timeline? But how are you even alive? Better yet, how are you even here?"

Chara sighed at this as what she's about to say will change their views of what she truly is "Well, remember when Naruto kept mentioning about a certain someone after he and Sans defeated Frisk during the Genocide run? That someone…is me,"

Now everyone was beyond shocked, the Dreemurr Family didn't want to believe what they heard and Asriel was in denial.

Toriel then asked "My child…please tell me you weren't responsible for taking part of commenting genocide…right?"

Chara was silent until she spoke "Yes, I was part of it but the thing is…I'm responsible for starting the Genocide run in the first place,"

"WHAT!?"

Everyone screamed out while Undyne and Sans looking a bit hostile towards her as the former spoke"So you're the punk who's started that whole mess!?" Which she nodded. Undyne immediately summoned her spear as she was about to lunge at her to kill until Chara calmly said

"I wouldn't attack me if I were you,"

"Give me a reason why shouldn't I kill for what you did you little punk!?" Undyne was barely holding back from attacking

"Because if you kill me, you kill Naruto as well. I doubt he would appreciate becoming a corpse. I'm only here to tell you guys who's behind the events that started the Genocide run which happens to be me. All of this happened because of me and I feel responsible in telling you all about everything instead of Naruto. He agreed in letting me speak to you all regarding my involvement in that timeline and I intend to do so. Once I'm done, I'm letting him take back control of his body. Is that enough reason for you, fish sticks?"

Undyne growled at her calling her that but she does have a point that she can't physically attack her because that would mean hurting Naruto as well. Plus, if she's willing to tell them why she started all of this, then she'll hold off on attacking her…for now "Fine. I'll back off for now but you're lucky you're in Naruto's body to communicate us because if it wasn't for that, I would kill you right here and now,"

Chara rolled her eyes in response "Whatever you say,"

Then Sans decided to speak "So buddy, can you tell us how are you're alive, how you're here and most importantly, how are you involved in all of this in your own timeline?"

Chara looked at Sans as the two stared at each other in a very ominous way. To Chara, she's reminded of her fight back in the Judgment Hall as she looked at him and for Sans, he felt like he should kill her where she stands if she tries anything here but he can't do that because that would mean killing Naruto as well so he might as well learn her reasons before judging her…it was his main job after all.

Chara then spoke "Naruto already explained everything about my timeline and the Genocide runs but he left out some details about my involvement. You see, I was awoken from death by Frisk when she fell down. At first I was confused but curious as Frisk who wanted to save monster kind. After going through countless Pacifists run, she was getting bored from seeing nothing new. So I attempted to manipulate Frisk by giving her the idea of commiting Genocide. At first she refused at the thought but eventually her curiosity got the better of her and decided to go through with it which began the first Genocide run. She almost made it to the end but after reaching to the Judgment Hall and fighting Sans, she couldn't get past him and eventually, she regretted her actions and planned to Reset. However, I stopped her and forced her to continue but she kept refusing from finishing what she started, so I took control of her body and finished what she couldn't do. From there, I ERASED the timeline and started the second Genocide run where I was the one in control. Like the first I ERASED the second timeline without a second thought and began my third run which was when Naruto entered into my timeline as I started,"

Nobody couldn't believe what they're hearing as everyone was on edge. Asriel wanted to ask her why was she doing all this which she said "I wasn't myself. I'm sure you're aware about my hatred towards humanity but never told you why? Well my hate was the cause of me being a murderer. After Naruto beat me, he ended up facing my HATE,"

"Your HATE?" Alphys inquired timidly.

"Yes. HATE is a very dangerous black substance that corrupts the individual who's filled with hate. I sometimes have HATE oozing out of my eyes and mouth whenever I'm angry or making a scary face. I'm sure you know about that, right Asriel?"

The young Dreemurr looked away, remembering that time when he wanted to take a picture of her with a camera but failed to capture it due to not removing the lens, that was when he saw Chara making a very scary face which frightened him.

"Anyways, due to my hatred towards humanity and the genocide runs, my HATE became sentient and started to corrupt me to the point I was no longer myself anymore. It turned me into a menace that wanted to kill and destroy. Naruto put a stop to HATE for good and once he got rid of my HATE, both he and the other Frisk made a True RESET to fix the damage my HATE had done. As for me, well after they reset, I was no longer part of Frisk but instead latched onto Naruto. Their RESET made me take refuge in his SOUL after purging my HATE including me in the process. After that, I spoke to Naruto and he gave me second chance to redeem myself and then, here we are now that I stand before you all,"

Everyone was quite in disbelief at hearing all of this, Alphys being more vocal said "O-Ok. At least we now know how the Genocide run all started. But what I don't understand is shouldn't you return back to your own timeline?"

Undyne chipped in by saying "Yeah, the last thing we need is you causing us trouble just like what you did in your timeline,"

Chara glared at Undyne "Shut up, fish face. I already told you that it's not my fault entirely. It was my own HATE that corrupted me to act that way,"

But Undyne had a rebuttal ready for her "And that HATE came from you because of your hatred towards humanity. It originated from you to begin with. You could still be a ticking time bomb waiting to go off while affecting Naruto in the process which puts all of us in danger,"

"Did you not hear a single word I said or you got some salt water stuck in your ears? Naruto already purged my HATE out of me!"

"That doesn't mean it couldn't happen again if you start generating more of it!"

At this point, things are looking pretty intense as if a fight is about to break out until Kushina yelled out.

"ENOUGH!" once she got their attention, she spoke "Undyne, I understand where you're coming from as there could be a possibility of it happening but if she truly believes it's been purged out then we shouldn't concern ourselves too much about it,"

Undyne could not believe this "Are you serious?! She could be lying for all we know. Your son could be in danger if that brat gets the chance to cause harm!"

Kushina then said "I'll admit this is a huge risk we are taking, given what she was capable off in her timeline from what Naruto described but if Naruto believes she deserves a second chance to redeem herself for her mistakes, then I'll accept his decision. Don't get me wrong, I don't trust her unless she proves me wrong to earn it. So far, we'll see if she truly deserves redemption,"

This was something the Dreemurr family and others agreed since they want to believe that there's still some good in her. Sans wasn't though but didn't say anything for now, wanting to be in the neutral for the meantime until something changes his opinion. Papyrus was silent in all this, not knowing exactly what to say but deciding to see how things go before creating his own opinion. Red on the other hand decided to keep an eye on Naruto and make sure that nothing bad happens to him again.

Undyne was silent for awhile until she backed down "Fine. I don't like this but if Naruto says otherwise until then…I'll just have to deal with it,"

Kushina nodded at this while saying 'Thank you' to her. Chara just rolled her eyes at the drama Undyne has against her being here which she had every right to be, but it doesn't mean she liked it.

Anyways, Kushina then asked "Now with that settled, I believe Alphys asked a question about you returning to your respective timeline. Is it possible?"

"I'm not sure it's possible for you guys to send me back even if I wanted to but honestly, I don't wanna go back," Chara admitted truthfully.

"Huh? But why?" Alphys asked confusedly

"It's because of what I did in my timeline. The killings…taking control of Frisk…making her do Genocide runs…ruining her life…," Chara sighed to herself "I think it would be better if I don't come back and let them live their normal lives without me as I'd just ruin their hopes and dreams. Besides, there's no hope for me anyways, not like it has been from the beginning,"

There are times she would question the purpose of her existence as to why she's still here when she should remain dead but she guessed that it's just life's way of screwing with her even in death.

Everyone felt bad by this, especially the Dreemurr family. Heck, even Undyne felt bad after hearing her reasons which made her feel sick for how she treated her despite she did it to protect everyone and herself. Sans was neutral about it but even he felt bad for her.

Asriel went to Chara and hugged her as he said "I don't care if you're not the Chara that I know, you're still the same Chara that I'll always be best friends with. I'll accept you despite what you did. If Naruto can accept me and gave me a second chance, then you can be accepted too,"

Chara was shocked by this, to hear that she can be forgiven…then she suddenly returned the hug whilst holding back her tears.

Asriel noticed this and joked a bit "Heh, who's the cry-baby now,"

Chara smiled "Oh hush Azzy, this doesn't count,"

Inside the mindscape, Naruto was watching everything that was happening and smiled at how things are working out well…minus Undyne and Sans' distrust towards Chara but at the very least, they're neutral about it. Anyways, they accepted her living here in their timeline and once she had her chance to speak to them, she gave Naruto back control over his body and he returned to normal, he told them thanks for listening his tale and wanted to ask what's their opinions about all of this and if they believe him. Needless to say, they were beyond convinced as they definitely believe him and gave their opinions about this, mostly about making sure to be cautious towards Chara if she shows any aggression towards them. Anyways, after everything has been resolved, everyone decided it's time to go home after learning what happened to Naruto as left to do their own thing while some left do some thinking from all this information.

Later that night, Naruto was lying on his bed with Nikan curled up next him, basking in his presence and Chara hovered above him when they heard knocking on the door for a moment before it opened as Kushina came inside and sat next to Naruto who sat up with Nikan on his lap.

"So, was I able to convince you today?" asked Naruto.

"Like I said before, I believe you now. Considering the video you showed to us and the powers you displayed, I see no reason not to believe you. You can consider yourself not grounded for the year," said Kushina playfully, making Naruto chuckle before adopting a serious look.

"Mom, there's something I didn't mention to the others that I want to tell you,"

"What is it?" asked Kushina.

"During my fight against Chara in the other timeline, I was in a pretty bad position when something happened. I don't know whether it was a delusion or was actually for real…but I saw dad and spoke to him,"

Kushina was taken aback upon hearing this and whispered softly "You saw Minato?"

"I can't be too sure but he was telling me not to give up no matter what, helping me forgive myself for what I did that day and telling me that he'll never stop loving us even from beyond the afterlife," said Naruto, smiling at the memory.

Kushina smiled tearfully "That sounds just like him, always giving you advice when you need it the most. I can see that since you no longer wrap your hands anymore,"

Upon hearing her words, Naruto looked down to see that his hands were indeed uncovered and he wasn't bothered by it anymore unlike in the past, meaning that he had truly moved on…even if he feels like his hands are naked.

"In spite of the terrible things that happened to you, I'm glad to see that there were some silver linings on your dark cloud. Let me not keep you up any longer so you can go to sleep since the next day is school," Kushina rose from the bedside and prepared to leave.

"Thanks mom, goodnight,"

"You too son, same goes for you Chara," then she left the room with Chara looking rather surprised.

"Why would she say goodnight to me, I thought she doesn't trust me like fish sticks and the boneheaded comedian?" asked Chara confusedly.

"Pretty sure she's being neutral here, neither liking nor hating you. It depends on how you tip the scales from this point onwards," Naruto pointed out.

"Whatever you say, whiskers," Chara floated around Naruto with a shrug of her shoulders "So, what happens next from now?"

"Hard to say since this recent escapade has pretty much taught me that absolutely anything can happen, so I'd better be prepared for whatever comes my way," Naruto held out a hand and watched it emit a fiery white aura with his eyes glowing with the same aura.

"Well, I'm sure it won't be boring at least,"

"True that,"

This is Hussbek online with the latest chapter; with his safe return to his own timeline with Chara in tow, Naruto now has to overcome a high hurdle which is to explain to everyone what happened to him. He was worried as revealing the truth meant to reveal the secrets connected to them which could place a strain on everyone's relationship with each other. The day finally came and Naruto steeled himself to unveil certain truths and sure enough; doubts, distrusts and hostility reared their ugly heads with the blonde struggling to keep things calm before they spiral out of control with one example being Undyne's rapid hostility towards which he had put a stop to before it got worse.

But with this also came revelations such as when Toriel was forced to see that her actions just as flawed as Asgore's by the others, they also learnt of the power of SAVE and RESET which Naruto and the others had been concealing the knowledge of its existence up to this point. When Naruto and Chara introduced the latter to everyone, things went downhill real fast and nothing would have been resolved to a least peaceful state had it not been for the timely intervention of Kushina, convincing some of them to at least be on the neutral ground towards Chara instead of straight up treating her like an enemy. Now that Chara has been given the benefit of the doubt, she has to prove to everyone that she truly desires redemption for her past sins, even Naruto has resolved himself to train harder in preparation for whatever that might happen in the future be sure to read and review like always.
