Hey I'm back! Three years!

Sorry I know I was going to do a tag duel but it's been 3 years and I've been trying to think of Shingo's deck but I've been stumped. Sorry! Just put both Duels of Yuya and Yuzu together. Sorry Again! So the story continues after Sora loses to Shun.

And to Rosestar48 yes I'm the one writing on the Archive of our own. Three years for an answer, sorry about that.

Chapter 23

As the sun was setting over Maiami, Sora was lying in a bed unconscious from his duel with Shun. Outside his door Yuya, Yuzu, Gon, Yoko, Futoshi, Tatsuya, Ayu, and Shuzo were all standing together worried.

"Sora…" Yuzu said dejectedly with her hands over her heart.

"He'll be fine. LDS has an excellent medical team." Shuzo tried to reassure everyone but couldn't keep the worry out of his voice.

"But what if the debris from the building hit him before the Field Spell ended?" Ayu said. Yuzu clenched her hands as she stared at the door.

'Kurosaki...Shun!' Yuzu thought in anger.

"Shiunin Sora is receiving medical attention at the center court's medical room. He has wounds on his head, arms and feet, but they're nothing life-threatening." Nakajima informed Reiji.

"I see. After he's done receiving medical attention, transfer him to Leo Corporation headquarters. There are things I want to ask him about. Also bring his Duel Disk to me." Reiji said, looking outside then turned to Nakajima who nodded and left the room.

"Yoko and I will take the kids home, so take care of Sora." Shuzo said to Yuzu, Yuya, and Gon as they watched Shuzo, Yoko, Ayu, Futoshi, and Tatsuya home since the sun had already set.

"What do you think?" Yuya asked which confused Yuzu.

"Kurosaki is the culprit who attacked LDS." Yuya said, causing Yuzu's eyes to go wide.

" No, the person that was attacking LDS had red hair." She said quickly, causing Yuya to look at her shocked. Then Yuya remembered the redhead called him 'Yuto' only to be knocked out by Ruri. but if it was the redhead why did Shun seem so angry during his duel with Sora. They debated for a few minutes but they still couldn't find any answers, just questions.

"I don't know what's going on but Ruri said that they are attacking LDS trying to save their friends." Yuzu said.

"Ruri?" Yuya asked, confused. Yuzu's eyes widened at Yuya's question.

"She's the girl that looks like me." Yuzu said. They talked a bit trying to understand while inside the building walking down a dark hallway footsteps could be heard. The person walked for a bit then stopped in front of Sora's room before opening the door and walking up to Sora who was still sleeping in the bed. A few minutes later Sora woke up. When he opened his eyes, his vision was blurry from sleeping so long. He looked to the side and saw he wasn't alone.

"Yu...zu?" He asked, looking at Ruri confused causing her eyes to narrow.

"I want to ask you something." She said, shocking Sora to full alertness realizing he wasn't talking to Yuzu.

"Where is Yuto?" she asked.

"Yuto? I don't know anyone named Yuto. Why would I know him?" Sora said with a lot of sass.

"Then do you know the ones that kidnapped him? Please tell me!" She begged him.

"I don't know. I only know that there's no such thing as a prisoner of war." He said, causing the little hope inside of Ruri to break.

"Ar-Are you sure?" She asked softly.

"Yeah, after all the hunted are turned into cards. That means he's probably..." Sora said with a smirk causing Ruri to flinch.

"Anyway, where is he?" Sora asked, turning serious.

"He?" She asked, confused after recovering from her shock.

"Kurosaki Shun! I have to settle things with him!" Sora said, ripping off the blanket and getting out of bed, grabbing his Duel Disk.

"It's already been settled. You lost." Ruri Said coldly to the boy.

"I didn't lose! There's no way I would lose against an XYZ! Take me to him! I'll crush him this time! If I duel him seriously, I'll beat him easily!" Sora said as Ruri just watched him only for the two night guards to interrupt their conversation. With amazing speed Ruri ran out the room shocking the guards and Sora who ran after her after knocking the guards unconscious.

Outside Yuya, Yuzu, and Gon could hear the commotion going on inside, confusing them.

"What's with the commotion?" Gon asked, looking at the guards running back and forth.

"He may have already gone outside. Contact headquarters immediately and tell them that Shiunin Sora has escaped." The guard said with the other two guards both running in different directions. One inside to make the call, the other to look outside leaving the three teens shocked from what they just heard.

"I'll dispatch teams all around Maiami City and find out where Shiunin went." Nakajima said in an audio call to Reiji.

"No, we're currently in the middle of a tournament. Don't create a bigger commotion." Reiji said.

"But…" Nakajima said.

"Use the security cameras throughout the city to find his location. I'm going to the control room." Reiji said then walked out of the room he was in.

"My dad said that he's coming soon." Yuzu said with Gon telling them to split up and try to search for Sora. Gon went to the ocean, Yuzu was going to the central park, and Yuya went to Maiami City bridge.

At the central park Ruri held a single card in her hand trying her best to hold back her tears. After all this time searching she feared that it was for nothing. She opened her eyes staring at the card and pictured Yuto alone, scared, cornered in a back alley, then her mind saw him in a card, his face frozen in fear. She choked back a sob and clenched the card to her chest trying to calm down. She knew Sora would be coming soon so she needed to be a soldier to deliver justice.

'A soldier...A soldier… A Killer…' She thought about trying to convince herself. She heard Sora's loud footsteps in the quiet park. She calmed her breathing for the upcoming match. She may have lost Yuto, but she'll be damned if she lost her big brother to fusion. For a brief moment she saw Yuya smiling while learning fusion. And the beauty of fusion that Yuzu showed her. She bit her lip trying to forget.

'They're innocent. They don't know. I'm doing this for them too. For this dimension. For those that are gone (Yuto came into her mind smiling softly) for those not gone (Sayaka, Allen, Her brother, Kaito too. All the people of XYZ's)' She thought and with determination she put the card in her extra deck. Sora got closer and a security camera followed him. In a security room of LDS, Reiji, Shun, Nakajima, and even Reira was there.

"Where is he?" Nakajima asked and was told by one of the many workers that he was in Central Park. He told them to send some security there to capture him only for Reiji to tell him to wait. Nakajima turned to look at him but Reiji was watching the feed very intently. They watched Sora stop a bit breathing hard looking at Ruri who was off camera.

"Point the camera in the direction the Shiunin Sora is facing." Reiji ordered the staff in front of him and they complied, showing Ruri standing there in front of Sora.

"Ruri!" Shun yelled when he saw his sister scaring Reira causing the young child to clench her bear closer to her chest. Reiji put his arm around her, helping to calm her down enough that she wasn't giving her bear a death grip anymore.

"Hurry up and call Kurosaki Shun!" Sora yelled glaring at Ruri. Hearing her brother's name Ruri looked up then slowly turned around to glare at Sora. Again Sora told her to call Shun here.

"Do you want to battle my brother again even with those injuries?" She asked, raising an eyebrow looking down on Sora which pissed him off more.

"Brother? Whatever, just call him here, this time I won't lose! Not just him, the people of XYZ are destined to be hunted by us! You, your brother, even that fucking Yuto you asked about earlier. I won't lose to an XYZ user! You're just toys for me to play with! No, not toys, animals, yes you're just animals for me to hunt!" Sora yelled at her.

"WE ARE NOT ANIMALS! WE ARE NOT TOYS! WE ARE HUMANS! WE"RE NOT CATTLE OR TOYS TO BE HUNTED YOU FUCKING FUSION BASTARD!" Ruri yelled so loud, shocking Sora, Nakajima, Reira, and the staff in the room. Shun narrowed his eyes and clenched his hands agreeing with his sister but hurt that his sweet sister said all this and not him. He began to walk out only for Reiji to stop him from leaving, telling Shun that he would only cause a greater commotion if he went, and if the Maiami Championship was to be cancelled then his plan will fall and they may never be able to save Yuto. that caused Shun to Freeze and glare at the ground hating that Reiji was right and that Ruri would never forgive him if he destroyed there chance to save Yuto and their dimension. Shun looked at the screen to see Ruri put on her Duel Disk ready to duel.

"So you feel like dueling now? That's the spirit! If I beat you then Kurosaki Shun will definitely come to save his sister! I'll let him watch as I turn you into a card then him and then everyone in XYZ to cards myself!" Sora said, putting on his Duel Disk also ready to duel against Ruri.

"I won't let that happen. To protect my brother, my friends, home, and save Yuto and all the people who have been carded, I'll defeat you first!" She said with her Duel Disk raised in front of her. Ruri glared at Sora who was also glaring at her. She knew she couldn't be soft, if she was then she would be carded and her brother would be on a warpath, but she also thought of Yuya smiling while using fusion, Yuzu and her beautiful fusion monster.

'This is for them too. This is for Yuya and Yuzu to keep their smiles!' She thought, feeling her determination rise.

"Duel!" They both said at the same time stating the duel.
