Chapter 24

Perversely:

"I won't let that happen. To protect my brother, my friends, home, and save Yuto and all the people who have been carded, I'll defeat you first!" She said with her Duel Disk raised in front of her. Ruri glared at Sora who was also glaring at her. She knew she couldn't be soft, if she was then she would be carded and her brother would be on a warpath, but she also thought of Yuya smiling while using fusion, Yuzu and her beautiful fusion monster.

'This is for them too. This is for Yuya and Yuzu to keep their smiles!' She thought, feeling her determination rise.

"Duel!" They both said at the same time stating the duel.

"I'm going first! I summon Edge Imp Tomahawk from my hand! Once per turn, Edge Imp Tomahawk can deal you 800 points of damage by sending one Edge Imp monster in my hand to the graveyard." Sora said and sent one card to the graveyard and with a wicked smile he watched as Ruri was thrown back and her life points went down to 3200.

"This is my way of saying hello. I end my turn." He said, watching as Ruri struggled to get up.

"800 points of damage already." Nakajima said while watching the security footage of the duel. Clenching his fist Shun tried to leave but Reiji stopped him causing Shun to glare at him.

"If you leave you would be playing right into his hands." Reiji said.

"But Ruri-"

"Is a warrior fighting for what she believes in and if you go over there now not only would Shiun'in Sora get what he wants but you would also put her in more danger." Reiji interrupted Shun. Clenching his fist since he knew Reiji was right he turned back to the footage that was playing. Reiji looked at Reira who was shaking and put his hand on her shoulder and told her to watch closely which helped to calm her down and look back at the footage.

"Are you okay? I'll let you call your big brother so you can switch places with him." Sora taunted as he watched Ruri struggle to stand.

"My turn!" Ruri said as she drew a card from her deck and looked at it.

"Since I control no monsters I can Special summon Lyrilusc- Turquoise Warbler" She said as she placed her card on her duel disk. When Sora saw the attack points he started to laugh at her monster and then taunt her for summoning a weak monster.

"I activate Warbler's effect and Special summon Lyrilusc- Celestine Wagtail from my hand. Next since I control a winged beast I can Summon Sapphire Swallow and Cobalt Sparrow. I activate Wagtails ability to take one spell or trap card from my deck to my hand and also Cobalt sparrow allows me to add one level one winged beast from my deck to my hand." Ruri said, summoning her next monsters and drawing two cards from her deck and adding them to her hand.

"I see. Since you have four level one monsters…" Sora said knowing what Ruri was going to do.

"I activate Wagtails ability to take one spell or trap card from my deck to my hand and also Cobalt sparrow allows me to add one level one winged beast from my deck to my hand.

"I overlay Level 1 Lyrilusc- Turquoise Warbler and Lyrilusc- Celestine Wagtail!" Both monsters turned into purple lights and then disappeared into the golden vortex.

"Take flight and sing out loud! XYZ Summon! Sing to the stars! Rank 1! Lyrilusc- Promenade Thrush!" Ruri said as her monster came onto the field.

"Bwahahaha! What a pathetic monster! No attack points at all. It's nothing but bird food for my monsters." Sora laughed, clutching his stomach while Ruri and her monster glared at him.

"Lyrilusc- Promenade Thrush's gains 500 attack points for each XYZ material attached to her." Ruri said as her monster's attack points went from zero to 2000 causing Sora to stop laughing very quickly and glare at the now strong monster while Shun who was watching felt pride for his little sister.

"Battle! I attack Edge Imp Tomahawk with Promenade Thrush!" Ruri said as her monster flew into the air then descended on Sora's monster completely destroying it with a powerful strike that pushed Sora back dropping his life points down to 3800.

"I end my turn." Ruri said, ending her turn.

"I guess if you couldn't duel this well, you wouldn't be worth dueling." Sora said as he smirked looking at Ruri who was glaring at him.

"It's no good. I've called him many times, but he's not answering!" Yuzu said getting closer to the park on her duel disk phone option.

"Gongenzaka said the same thing. Sora, where the hell did you go?" Yuya said.

"Let's keep looking for him! I'll call you later!" Yuzu said back trying to calm Yuya down who she knew was panicking on the inside.

Back with the Duel Sora told Ruri since she XYZ summoned it was time for him to get serious too as he drew a card from his deck. With a quick look at the card he drew he smirked and added it to his hand then went to grab another card in his hand.

"I activate the spell card Polymerization from my hand! I fuse-"

"I Detach one overlay unit and target one spell or trap card and shuffle it back into the deck. I target Polymerization!" Ruri said as she interrupted Sora and watched as one of the overlay units disappeared and stopped Sora from summoning but her monster's attack went down to 1500. And all Sora could do was stand in shock as his plan was destroyed by an XYZ monster.

Shun smirked after watching Ruri stop Sora from summoning and Reiji fixed his glasses while Reira watched in awe.

"You bitch! How dare you!" Sora yelled glaring at Ruri who was glaring right back at him.

"NO how dare YOU! You monsters came to my home and destroyed everything and smiled with glee while we were forced to flee! I won't let you destroy this world! I WON'T ALLOW IT!" Ruri yelled but at the last part her bracelet began to glow almost as if it was agreeing with her. And with a bright light the cameras that were watching the duel became static.

"RURI!" Shun yelled when he lost sight of his sister and Reiji ordered them to get the cameras back up and running, as Reira began shaking. Shun tried to leave but as he got to the door he realized he was locked in.

"OPEN THIS DOOR!" Shun yelled but was met with the shocked face of Reiji who looked at the door and went over and tried to open it himself but realized they were locked in.

"Call for security to come and open the door immediately" Reiji said and watched as the other people in the room tried to call for help on the outside. On the platform Reira held her bear closer as the woman next to her kept her hand up blocking anyone from leaving and caressing Reira's head and both girls nodded at each other.

"Sora, where are you?!" Yuzu called out as ran around. Running up to the center of the park Yuzu saw Sora and let out a sigh of relief and was about to approach when her vision was flooded with a bright yellow light forcing her to let out a startled scream as she covered her eyes. Slowly Yuzu opened her eyes and looked around but nothing was different. Sora was rubbing his eyes and when Yuzu looked up she saw a duel monster on the field and slowly she realized what was going on but to confirm she looked at the person behind the monster and saw Ruri.

"What the hell did you do?" Sora yelled when his vision became clear again, but when he looked at Ruri he was shocked to see the girl that was glaring daggers at him before was crying now.

"I set one monster face down and one card face down and end my turn." Sora said, placing two cards down. After calming down Ruri wiped her tears and glared down at Sora which caused him to take a step back.

"My turn!" Ruri said as she drew a card from her deck and for a brief moment Yuzu felt a pain in her chest as she grabbed at her heart.

"I summon Lyrilusc - Opal Eagle." She said placing the card on the duel disk. A young child that looked like a younger Lyrilusc - Promenade Thrush but it was dressed in white and black like an eagle and the little girl glared at Sora the moment she entered the field.

"I activate Lyrilusc - Opal Eagle's special ability! If this card is special or normal summoned I can search my deck for 3 winged beast monsters and special summon 1 and send the other 2 to the graveyard. And I special summon Lyrilusc - Beryl Canary!" Ruri said and sent two cards to the graveyard and summoned her next monster that also glared right at Sora as well. Yuzu was panting as she could hear a loud ringing in her ear. Sora was about to say something but felt his voice get trapped in his throat as he saw a dark shadow of a monster right behind Ruri glaring as well but something was off.

"I activate the effect of Lyrilusc - Alexandrite Owl in my graveyard and special summon it to the field. And next I activate her other effect to look in my deck for two more Lyrilusc - Alexandrite Owl's and summon them right to my field!" She said and three more monsters appeared on the field: a white haired girl with wings in her head and a long white dress.

"I overlay Lyrilusc - Opal Eagle, Lyrilusc - Beryl Canary, and all three of my Lyrilusc - Alexandrite Owl!" she yelled and all four monsters turned into a purple light and then disappeared into a golden vortex. And all Sora could do was brace himself as a powerful gust of wind blew him back while Yuzu grabbed her head as the ringing sound got louder and a strange voice was talking but was muffled.

"Birds with beautiful wings! Gather on the battlefield and take brilliant flight! Xyz Summon! Dance in the sky! Rank 1! Lyrical - Assembly Nightingale!" Ruri watched as her monster took the field in all her elegance and all three girls glared at Sora who was struggling to get up.

" Lyrical - Assembly Nightingale gains 200 attack for each material attached to her ( Atk hits 800) also since Lyrilusc - Beryl Canary was used as material she gives a 200 attack boost as well ( Atk hits 1000)" Sora glared at her as he held his injured arm that was bleeding from the summon.

"She is still weak! My monsters will eat her for breakfast!" Sora yelled trying to come up with a strategy for his next move.

"Yes she is, but not for long! I activate the other effect of Lyrilusc - Alexandrite Owl! Now Lyrical - Assembly Nightingale gains an extra 500 attack points for every Lyrilusc - Alexandrite Owl attached!" Ruri yelled and Sora watched in horror as the monster's 1000 atk jumps to 2500.

"Battle! I attack your face down with Lyrilusc- Promenade Thrush!" Ruri's monster flew into the air and descended on the face-down, destroying Sora's monster which was Fluffal Bear.

"Next I activate the quick spell Lyrilusc Bond! If a monster is destroyed by a "Lyrilusc '' monster I can target one card on the field on my opponent's field I can return it to their hand! Also I can target one XYZ monster on the field and increase its atk by 300 for every material attached!" Sora was now sweating as Lyrical - Assembly Nightingale's atk went from 2500 to 3700.

"Now Lyrical - Assembly Nightingale Attack this human trash and make sure he remembers the might and anger of our fallen comrades!" Ruri yelled out but for some reason Yuzu also said those same words too.

"Go ahead I'll still survive and beat you on my next tu-"

"There won't be a next turn! I activate Lyrical - Aquamarine Dove's ability! When I declare a direct attack I can remove this card from play and increase the attacking monsters atk by 2000!" Ruri and Yuzu both said at the same time interrupting Sora. His eyes went wide as Lyrical - Assembly Nightingale's attack went from 3700 to 5700 as a girl in complete white with red eyes appeared right behind Ruri and smirked at him. Sora was blown away and hit the ground hard and his life points hit zero. For the next five minutes nobody moved. Yuzu calmed down and when she looked up she saw Ruri holding her head and then she looked over and saw Sora on the floor.

"Sora!" She yelled as she ran up to her hurt friend and tried to help steady him as he struggled to stand. He looked up and saw Ruri look at him and the look of confusion on her face pissed him off.

"I don't accept this…I demand a rematch! I refuse to accept this loss!" He yelled, pushing Yuzu away, startling her and glaring straight forward. Ruri looked at him and the look of confusion then turned to a glare.

"You lost. To my brother first and now me and all you can do is throw a tantrum." Ruri said, crossing her arms.

"Please stop you two! Let's talk this out!" Yuzu pleaded but the look on both Sora and Ruri's face showed they weren't listening to her.

"Let's duel again and I will show you my true power that I cultivated at Academia! I'll use the real Fusion Summon to show you my most powerful monster!" Sora yelled ready to activate his duel disk but his duel disk began to glitch and read error and he panicked when it began to produce a red light from it.

"Stop! I don't want to go home yet!" He yelled at his duel disk.

"Sora!" Yuzu yelled watching as Sora said that he didn't want to return till he had a rematch and defeated Ruri but watched in horror as he disappeared into a blue light. Yuzu looked left then right in shock as she called Sora's name but all she could hear was the crickets in the park.

"Where is my friend?!" Yuzu yelled as she turned to Ruri who was slowly walking to herewith her hands up hoping to appease the distressed girl.

"It looked like he was forced to go home." Ruri said but Yuzu now looked confused.

"His duel disk was most likely programmed to activate if his identity was revealed. He is originally from another world." Ruri said.

"Other world?" Yuzu said and Ruri nodded.

"Remember when we first met?" Yuzu nodded and Ruri continued talking about how her brother and herself came to this world.

"Yuto… the person you're looking for right? Wait, what about Sora? He was hurt!" Yuzu asked.

"Don't worry, Academia has doctors." Ruri told Yuzu how relaxed completely knowing that at least Sora would be okay. But just before both girls could continue their talk a bright green light appeared causing Yuzu to cover her eyes and Ruri moving two feet away from Yuzu. When the light died down Yuzu opened her eyes and saw a person with a helmet blocking her face on top of a bike.

"Ouch… Sheesh, why is this pole here? Where the hell am I this time?" Yuzu heard the girl ask as she looked up and when her helmet turned to where Ruri stood Yuzu saw the girl turn stiff.

"I finally found you bitch! Now tell me where Yugo is and I'll make your death quick and painless!" The girl said removing her helmet. Yuzu stood in shock as she stared at another face that looked like her but this girl was really pissed.
