Chapter 29
Perversely:
"Huh? What happened? Eh… Yuzu?" the person said as they floated and then Yuzu saw the tomb appear below them and then the strings burst out.
"WHAT?!" they screamed as they began to get pulled down. Yuzu tried to run after them but her legs were not fast enough and she felt tears fall down her face. The person looked down and seeing her face tried to smile at her, making it worse for her.
"Yuzu, I love you." they said and then they went into the tomb and Yuzu fell on the ground as she stared at the spot the tomb was. She couldn't hear anything around her. Not Resha's laughing, not her heaving breaths, and not the rattles of the dolls that were laughing at her despair. She crawled to the area hoping it was a dream but the pain from her legs and lungs reminded her of the harsh reality. She screamed at the top of her lungs but no one heard her.
"DAAAAAADDDDDDDDDD!"
Yuzu sat on the floor as she tried to process what just happened. She looked at the ground but the memory of her father going into the tomb kept playing in her mind. Yuzu saw movement in the corner of her eye. She saw Resha walking over to her but Yuzu saw a monster from the way she looked at her in glee.
"You…killed…" Yuzu choked out but her words died in her throat when Resha just started to laugh at her. She held her stomach almost kneeling over but Yuzu felt anger begin to build inside her.
"STOP LAUGHING! THIS IS NOT FUNNY YOU PSYCHO!" Yuzu yelled as she struggled to stand and glared at the laughing girl. Resha stopped laughing on cue and slowly began to stand up straight causing Yuzu to feel the anger that had built up inside her be replaced with fear from the way Resha looked at her.
"Psycho…me a psycho…me…" Resha said slowly as if processing what she just heard from Yuzu's mouth. She kept repeating those words and the look in her eyes had Yuzu stepping back from how deranged it was.
"Y-"
"I AM NOT A PSYCHO! I AM COMPLETELY SANE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Resha said, cutting Yuzu off as she began to laugh again. Yuzu looked around hoping to find a way to escape but she realized that the puppets that were originally in the verandas now blocked the exits. She turned around and felt herself just wanting to run off the field the way Resha kept laughing and her monster towered over them. Resha stopped and then looked at Yuzu with a smile that had Yuzu feel like an animal being hunted by a predator, a predator that she knew she didn't want to be caught by.
"I wonder, Satsujin-sha what did you do on your turn a while ago?(Yuzu flinches from the memory) why is it that you can discard someone and I say nothing but when I do it I'm a psycho? Tell me Satsujin-sha why are you any better?" Resha asked tilting her head to the side acting innocent but the look in her eyes showed she was anything but innocent.
"What?" Yuzu tried to comprehend what she heard but she couldn't.
"Oh! I understand, it's the fact that it was someone you know that you are mad at me, I see." Resha said putting her index and thumb under her chin as if thinking and then nodding her head.
"You-" Yuzu tried to talk but her mind just couldn't come up with the right words.
"What? You know I'm right. (Yuzu opens her mouth but Resha's monster stomps on the ground causing her to stay silent) Oh what if it was a person that was a nobody to you, someone that was evil to you…to Yuya" Resha's grin turned more sinister when Yuzu' eyes went wide. She tried to deny it in her mind but deep in her heart she could feel that smallest nudge of agreement with Resha.
"Nonononono" Yuzu said but the way Resha kept smiling she knew that Resha latched on to something in the deepest part of her heart.
"You know it's true. You would hunt those people down until they felt the pain they inflicted on poor, poor Yuya." she said, causing Yuzu to cover her ears but she could still hear her.
"No you're wrong." Yuzu tried to deny it.
"You know I'm right. If they hurt your friends you would make them pay. If they hurt Yuya you would-"
"NO!" Yuzu yelled but she couldn't deny anything she heard. Resha looked at her monster that stomped on the ground and before Yuzu could respond she was hit from the debris forcing her on her back. She tried to focus but her world was spinning.
"You can just fall. You can be with your father and don't worry I'll send your friends to you as well." Resha said and Yuzu blacked out.

Waking with a gasp, Yuzu woke up to see a black void. She tried to move but she just floated on the spot.
'Where am I?' Yuzu thought as she looked around. She put her hand in front of herself only for another hand to also reach out. She could see what looked like a riding suit on the other person but when she tried to see their face she got a huge shot of pain in her head causing her to close her eyes.
"Rest Yuzu, I will finish this" the other person said and just like the person said Yuzu let her eyes close shut when a feeling of comfort washed over her.
Back to the duel
After looking over the passed out girl Resha sighed and began to walk away when she heard a shuffle behind her. She turned around and saw 'Yuzu' slowly get up but she narrowed her eyes looking at the injured girl. She watched 'Yuzu' look at her duel disk and then up at her.
"Oh my another lost soul but not truly. Care to tell a kind guide who you are?" Resha asked, watching 'Yuzu' who didn't answer but looked right at Resha's monster then the two pendulum monsters who seemed really happy to see her.
"Are you done? I would like to start my turn." 'Yuzu' said but Resha swore that there was another voice behind her voice.
"I end my turn." Resha said with a sneer.

"My Turn…Draw!" 'Yuzu' said drawing her card and when she looked at a smile appeared on her face causing Resha to narrow her eyes.
"I activate Da Capo The Melodious Maestra Pendulum effect which allows me to return all cards on the field back to the hand and because they are not being destroyed…"
"Then I can't activate Shaddoll Theater. And since El Shaddoll Shekhinaga is a fusion monster…" Resha said through gritted teeth.
"She goes straight to the extra deck." 'Yuzu' finished for her. Da Capo let out a song and the chains that were wrapped around her and Piano broke. They both flew towards El Shaddoll Shekhinaga and both grabbed the spider monster that tried to fight them but her legs hit the four cards on the field and took the monster out the theater that began to dissolve putting them both back into the Bamboo forest. 'Yuzu' looked out the Bamboo and saw the crowd that was now cheering.
"Will you put on a good show for the crowd?" Resha asked with a smirk, causing 'Yuzu' to look at her, but when 'Yuzu' kept the blank look she clenched her fist and dropped her smirk.
"A show… if only they were not under hypnosis then I'm sure they would love my movies more than yours." 'Yuzu' said, looking down at her hand. She nodded and then smiled causing Resha to narrow her eyes.
"I activate the spell card Reload. Now I send my hand back to the deck and shuffle it and draw the same number of cards that I had in my hand allowing me to draw six cards." She said drawing her six cards after putting her hand back into the deck and it auto-shuffled for her. She looked at her hand and a soft smile appeared on her face causing Resha to glare and the hand she had clenched was now dripping blood.
"I activate Ritual of Knights Melody(a card with canon and elegy with a monster that had armor on it right behind them and the shadow of another monster in armor was behind all three) and tribute Queen knight: Pendulum Warrior and Opera the Melodious Diva!" Resha watched as a young girl in a blueish dress with pink and yellow hair sang as she took the field with a smile and another girl had long and messy, light-brownish silver hair with a black helmet with a cross in silver covering the top of her face only showing her mouth. She wore a black shirt with a white collar and puffy shoulders underneath a silver tunic-like body armor with scales in the mid-section and blue cloth wrapped on the right side of her body by a brooch and a white scabbard with light-brown patched dangling on the left side of her hip. She had a black thigh-high frilled leg warmers underneath a thigh-high silver-colored leg armor with silver boots. Both monsters bowed and with a snap of 'Yuzu's finger they both turned into white sparkles and disappeared into the sky and the vortex of the pendulum appeared right above both girls.
"Descend unto this world and protect the weak! Ritual Summon! Queen Night: The Valkyrie of the North!" 'Yuzu' said and then in a bright light an angel with golden wings, clad in gold armor with huge claws. She wore a mask that showed her green eyes looking down on Resha which made her glare in hate at the monster as she grabbed her chest.
"Well now you ritual summon but what can a monster with only 2900 attack points do to my 4200 life points." Resha said with a smirk but 'Yuzu' just looked at the monster that turned her head and nodded at her.
" I activate the spell card Polymerization and fuse Queen Night: The Valkyrie of the North and Mozarta the Melodious Maestra from my hand!" 'Yuzu' said and another monster took the field with her hands raised with her baton ready to conduct and Valkyrie raised her claws and wings into the air before both monsters turned into a red and golden light and turned into a swirl.
"Spread your wings and embrace the weak with your light! Fusion Summon! Appear in this world once again! Queen Knight: The Melodious Maestra!" 'Yuzu' said with her arms spread wide then clapping them together. Resha grabbed her chest in pain as she watched an angel with ten golden wings, clad in green armor and wielding a spear and shield appear on the field. She had a gold star on her helmet with a long orange plum reaching her back appeared on the field. The monster looked at Resha causing her to struggle back in pain with a deranged look but the monster stood in front of 'Yuzu' ready to protect.
"Bwahahahahahaha! All that for a monster with 3000 attack" Resha, taunted as 'Yuzu' took the ritual spell and sent it to the graveyard.
"Queen Knight: The Melodious Maestra attack Resha directly and finish this!" Yuzu said but then Resha began to laugh again.
"I see you really don't listen! Your monster only has 3000 attack points and my life points are 4200!" Resha said with her right eye looking up while her left eye looked down constantly switching and a smile while her hand was still on her chest clenching so tight that if she removed her hand without relaxing she would rip her dress. The monster lifted her spear into the air getting ready.
"I activate the other effect of Ritual of Knight Melody!(Resha flinched but glared with one eye up and one eye down in a lot of pain.) Since I declare a direct attack with a light monster, I can banish this card and double the attack of the attacking monster!(Resha stepped back as the attack went from 3000 to 6000) Go! Eden's Javelin!" 'Yuzu' said and the spear she held began to gather light causing Resha to look around for an action card but she found nothing so she could only watch as the Spear pointed at her and a bright light erupted from the spear and charged her. She was hit by the light causing her to scream at the top of her lungs as her life points hit zero. 'Yuzu' watched as black smoke escaped from Resha as she lay sprawled on the ground. Looking around 'Yuzu' smiled softly as the other people in the audience began to blink a lot as if waking from a dream. She looked at the monster that smiled at her and then disappeared. She closed her eyes and felt a jolt as she gave control back and collapsed. With a few blinks Yuzu raised her head from the ground and slowly got up. She jumped when Resha began to laugh.
"I…see…hah…hah…I truly was…not ready…for this…outcome…hehehe…till we…meet again…Hiiragi…Yuzu…" then Resha vanished into black smoke. Nico looked around in confusion but looking at the hologram that announced Yuzu winner he tried to encourage the confused crowd to cheer their winner but when Yuzu looked at the audience she could only remember that man and her father. She heard the cheers but when she looked at her hands tears fell down causing the audience to become silent and even more confused and before her friends could reach an area that was close, she ran as fast as she could out the stadium not listening to the confusion of the crowd or the panic yells of her friends. All she could think was run and don't stop as the tears fell from her eyes.
