Chapter One

Harry was once more at Privet Drive.

And like last year he had dosed the Dursley's with the Draught Of Positivity.

Thus it made his time somewhat bearable.

Why is he here and not at the cottage you ask?

Easy, he is waiting for Sirius to make his appearance.

After all only a few days into his summer and Harry saw the Weasleys on the front cover of the daily Prophet.

They had once again won the Grand Prize of 700 Galleons.

And with that money they went to Egypt to visit Bill.

And due to that the entire family were pictured standing before the pyramids.

Of course Ron was stood front and centre looking rather smug about the whole thing.

And on his shoulder was Scabber's.

Or as Harry knew him to be Peter Pettigrew.

It was only a few days later when Sirius' crazed looking Mugshot was plastered all over the Prophet.

They reported how he was the first (that they know of) to ever escape Azkaban.

It had killed Harry not to be able to do anything for Sirius and to a lesser extent about the rat for the last two years.

But he simply lacked the political and financial capital required to fight such a battle at the Ministry.

And Harry wasn't stupid enough or naïve enough to think simply the word of the Boy-Who-Lived would be enough to win Sirius his freedom.

After all he had an entire life's worth of memories that taught him the exact opposite.

As such he knew he needed to play this smart.

And that meant letting his inner Slytherin come out to play.

It was partially due to this Harry had worked so hard to make so much money over the last two years.

His bets at Knockturn Alley.

His selling of the Basilisk, and Acromantula silk.

And his investment in the Firebolt were all part of this plan.

As such Harry now has more than enough money to really piss some people off.

And as such the first thing he did was Infiltrate the Ministry.

No he didn't use any of the secret passageways he knew from his time as an Auror.

He did something completely more ballsy.

He simply entered through the front via the Floo.

Of course he didn't do this as Harry Potter.

No he did so under a disguise which combined Transfiguring himself and shifting his features with his Metamorph abilities.

He then took on the form of one Lucius Malfoy.

With a sneer plastered on his face he strode passed security and into the Minister's office like he owned the place.

It didn't take long to convince Fudge to dismiss the Kiss on Sight Order against Sirius.

All it required was a sack of gold and a sob story about how he was one of his dear wife's last remaining relatives.

He then hinted at Sirius' lack of a trial and hinted it would be a huge coup for Fudge if he could be seen as rectifying a miscarriage of justice perpetrated by Crouch Snr, Bagnold, and Dumbledore.

As two of the three were still a thorn in Fudges side the man had a look like Christmas had come early.

Harry then left but not before compelling Fudge not to speak about this to anyone until he was ready to make a move.

Harry left the Ministry with a spring in his step.

"And that ladies and gentlemen is how you do it" He thought to himself.

It has been a few days since then and sadly that means Sirius is still a wanted fugitive.

But hopefully he won't be for long.

But that didn't stop Harry from worrying.

And that was why he was spending most of his time with the Dursley's, or at least close by that is.

He spent most of his time at the nearby park mostly watching a waiting.

He would sit under a nearby tree with a book in hand.

Obviously he couldn't get away with a magical book so had taken to reading some Muggle fiction.

In this case he was reading Stephen Kings IT.

Suddenly he heard a branch snap from nearby from just beyond visible range.

Harry slowly turned around so as not to spook whoever it was.

And much to his joy it was Sirius in his Padfoot form.

"Hey there" Harry said reaching out his hand.

Sirius as Padfoot walked carefully towards Harry and bumped his head against Harry's hand.

Harry stroked Padfoot.

"I've missed you Padfoot" Harry said earning a look of shock from the dog man.

Harry almost burst out laughing seeing that expression.

"Yes I know who you are. And no I won't turn you in" Harry said.

"Follow me and we can talk somewhere less public" Harry said.

He lead Padfoot through to a gully.

One of the ones older Dudley often frequented to buy weed.

Once they were free of observers Harry told Sirius to turn back to human.

The moment he did Harry grabbed his hand and Side Along Apparated them to behind the back of the cottage at Godric's Hollow.

To say Sirius was shocked would be an understatement.

"Who are you?" He demanded.

After all there should be no reason Harry should be able to Apparate, not less being able to side along someone.

Harry smiled.

"Here read this" Harry said handing a small slip of parchment to Sirius.

The man warily retrieved it.

His eyes reluctantly leaving Harry to see what was on the parchment.

The moment he did so he sucked in a gasp of breath.

"Good you now know the secret" Harry said as he lead Sirius through into the cottage.

There Dobby was waiting with several plates of food, and some drink.

Harry sat down at the table and encouraged Sirius to sit opposite him.

What followed was something of an awkward Q&A between the two.

Harry told Sirius absolutely everything.

Even down to him being from the future.

It was only the Pensieve and the memories stored with in that convinced Sirius this wasn't someone Polyjuiced as Harry.

After all he was a Hit Wizard and was easily able to spot fake memories.

Harry then filled Sirius in on how he had gone about securing his freedom.

And apologised that he couldn't have done it sooner.

It was all too much for Sirius, especially in his weakened state.

Sure most of that food and drink was potioned up to aid in his recovery but it wouldn't happen over night.

Sirius was soon taken by Dobby up to the guest bedroom.

There Sirius had a clean change of clothes and an ensuite for him to get cleaned up in.

It wasn't long after he was clean and dressed that he almost mechanically made his way to bed.

And as soon as his head hit the pillow that he fell into a deep and peaceful sleep for probably the first time in Twelve years.

The following morning Harry took care of Sirius for a few days but it was clear he was beyond Harry's abilities to handle.

Due to that Harry decided to take a slight risk.

And he contacted Andromeda Tonks.

You can probably imagine her surprise when Harry Potter of all people turned up at her door.

And if that wasn't enough the following conversation was surely a doozy.

First he described everything he had lived through in both timelines as briefly as possible in order to explain how he knew Sirius was innocent.

He then spent the better part of an additional three hours convincing her he wasn't crazy.

It was only his memories, his Pensieve and a vow that the memories were truthful that got her aid.

Obviously she didn't like what she saw in those memories.

Her husband and daughter, and Son in Law all dead, and her raising her Grandson alone.

The Andromeda that appeared in Harry's memories was a shell of her former self.

It was clear only Teddy was keeping her going.

"We will talk more about this later" Andromeda stated firmly before turning from him.

She made her way to the Fireplace where she Floo called her husband Ted telling him to come home from St Mungo's due to a "Family Emergency".

A phrase Harry knew from the future meant something to do with the house of Black.

They had to use it once when Narcissa suddenly showed up at Andromeda's place.

Harry appeared then almost exactly as Ted was appearing now.

Ted Tonks looked rather swept and panicked.

His wand was out and eyes were darting around the home he shares with his beloved wife.

"Ted calm down" Andromeda said authoritatively

"Guess I know who wears the trousers in this relationship" Harry thought.

Almost as though she could read his mind she glared at Harry.

He instantly felt a shiver down his spine and had the good graces to appear apologetic.

Andromeda then began explaining the situation to Ted using Harry's Pensieve and memories to back up her words.

During the whole process he went through the whole gamut of emotions.

"Where is he?" Ted asked when the explanation was finished.

Harry instantly shared with them the secret and took them to the cottage.

Sirius was still passed out on the bed and it was clear he wasn't doing too well.

Ted instantly clicked his tongue with frustration before he got to work examining his patient.

Ted listed off all the potions he was going to need.

Thankfully for him, his wife held a Mastery in Potion brewing.

And she immediately hijacked Harry's brewing station.

Harry was amazed at her work.

This was something he never got to see of her in the other timeline.

She put her work on the back burner to raise Teddy after all.

Seeing his interest Andromeda called Harry over to assist.

And she was pleasantly surprised at his skill.

The two worked together in almost perfect synchronicity.

Harry took care of the less problematic brews (which were still O.W.L and N.E.W.T level) while Andromeda took care of the more advanced ones.

It took them almost three whole weeks of round the clock care and efforts but Sirius was starting to get better.

The perpetual man-child had been on bed rest the entire time and you can probably imagine how that went.

It got so bad that Harry even thought of permanently sticking him to the bloody bed.

Thankfully Andromeda was there to cower her cousin into behaving.

All it took was one glare, which as it could even effect Harry Sirius stood no chance.

It was towards the end of the winter break.

Harry was in his raven form flying around Little Hangleton.

From above he had a much easier time of finding the old Gaunt Shack than he would have done from the ground.

Once it was spotted he landed just outside of the wards he could sense.

He shifted back into human form and began examining the wards present.

There was a mix of Parseltongue and standard warding techniques.

Something Harry knew thanks to all his training in the future (along with some lesson's from Bill Weasley) he was one of the best in the Auror division at deciphering wards and dismantling them.

Sure he lacked the Arithmatic knowledge to be as precise as a curse Breaker.

But Harry usually went with the brute force approach.

Bill and Fleur often lamented his approach calling it the equivalent of bringing a sledgehammer when a Ball peen one would suffice.

Harry however didn't have to worry about that approach.

Especially as it seems Voldemort had left a pretty large security breach in his wards.

That being they allowed animals in and out.

No doubt he made these wards while he was still at school or just after graduating.

Harry suspected Dumbledore used Fawkes to get through them.

Either that he blasted through them.

Not that it mattered either way.

Harry instead shifted back into his Raven form and flew through the wards.

He felt then trickle over his feathers but mostly they just ignored him.

He then landed and shifted back into human form.

Almost immediately he was beset by a large Burmese python.

"STOP" Harry hissed in Parseltongue.

The snake stood rigid.

"SPEAKER" it said.

Harry nodded.

"STATE YOUR BUSINESS" it demanded.

"I WANT WHAT IS MINE" Harry replied.

"YOU DON'T SMELL LIK THE PREVIOUS SPEAKER. THE ONE WHO TASKED ME WITH PROTECTING HIS TREASURE" the snake hissed.

Harry dropped to his knees.

"SMELL HERE" Harry said directing to to his scar.

The large python slithered over.

It rose up so that it was face to face with Harry.

Its tongue flicked in and out a few times.

"MY APPOLOGISE" the snake hissed.

"YOUR SCENT IS MASKED QUITE WELL" the snake complimented.

"THANK YOU. IT KEEPS ME SAFE FROM MY ENEMIES UNTIL I GROW TO FULL SIZE AGAIN" Harry hissed.

Who would have thought pretending to be the reincarnated Voldemort would have worked.

"YOUR TASK IS COMPLETE, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE MY FIREND" Harry said.

The python nodded and slithered away.

Harry waited for a few minutes before he sighed with relief.

From there it was a simple task of entering the Gaunt Shack and finding the ring buried beneath the floor boards.

And thanks to the soul shard in his skull he was directed almost directly to it.

Obviously he didn't do a Dumbledore and put it on.

Despite the rings best efforts to effect him with the compulsion Harry remained un-phased.

"Guess having him in my head offered a strange kind of protection" Harry thought.

After all he never fell for the compulsion to wear the Diadem.

And just like the Diadem Harry levitated the ring and dropped it into a small flash of his blood he prepared in advance.

The Ring's horcrux then died a pitiful death leaving it's container free from it's taint.

All Harry had to do then was unravelled the curse that stubbornly clung to the ring.

With that it was safe.

Using his wand Harry transfigured the shape of the ring to something much more to his liking.

He then transferred the enchantments from his ring that blocked the Trace onto it.

before switching rings.

"Three down" Harry said to himself with a grin and he quickly Apparated away.

Harry was soon on board the Express again along with Hermione and Luna.

His two friends were busy mooning over Crookshanks.

The part Kneazle seemed to enjoy the attention.

"At least he isn't going spare trying to capture Pettigrew" Harry thought to himself.

Unlike with his friends talk amongst the other student's was rife with gossip about Sirius Black sightings.

It was all quite amusing to Harry as he knew exactly where Black was.

He was at the cottage, under the dutiful care of his cousin Andromeda.

He was almost fully healed at least physically.

Sadly there wasn't much they could do about his mind without a Mind Healer and Ted sadly is not one.

Due to that they have to keep watch of Sirius to prevent him going off on one of his wild flights of fancy.

Thankfully Dobby was also there helping.

Harry had hired the little guy almost as soon as he was freed.

And after some tough negotiating from Dobby he talked Harry down to 1 Galleon a week and a day off a month.

It was almost exactly the same deal he remembered Dobby agreeing to, in order to work at the castle.

"Harry are you listening" came a voice to Harry's side.

"Huh" Harry replied with confusion.

"I asked if you were listening. Obviously you weren't" Hermione said.

"Sorry, I have a lot on my mind" Harry answered honestly.

Hermione's expression softened.

"Is it that Sirius Black Business?" Hermione asked.

Harry sighed "partly yeah" he replied.

"Oh Harry" Hermione said as she crashed into him.

She grasped him into one of her patented hugs.

But this time Harry noticed two lumps pressed against him.

Something he never really thought of before.

It was all Harry could do not to blush.

"Oh get over your self" Harry mentally berated himself.

He also berated him for having such thoughts about a girl of Hermione's age.

"That and she definitely wouldn't appreciate you sexualising her" was his next mental berating.

Thankfully Luna chose that moment to cut through the tension.

She made a comment about the conspiracy around Sirius being to stop the public from learning he was Stubby Boardman.

That as you could imagine set off Hermione and thus the two friends bickered back and forth while Harry was burying all uncomfortable thoughts about Hermione behind the thickest Occlumency shields possible.

Chapter Two

With no Dementors to worry about, due to the Kiss On Sight order being rescinded.

The journey to Hogwarts was thankfully a peaceful one.

Harry, Hermione, and Luna took up their usual places at the Ravenclaw table.

And what followed was the usual.

The sorting hats song.

The sorting of the first years.

Dumbledore starting off the feast with some nonsense sounding gibberish.

And so on.

It was all rather odd to Harry how something like attending a magic school could somehow become mundane if you experience it enough.

In Harry's opinion that was obviously why so many magical raised individual lack even the slightest hint of critical thinking.

It was also in his opinion why he was able to succeed as a Master Auror, far sooner than many of his contemporaries in the Auror force were capable of.

His mind simply worked differently to the other Auror's and thus he was able to make connections to things while on a case that his colleagues were simply unable to match.

There was probably only Hermione, and Luna who could match his way of thinking.

Hermione because she was raised Muggle like him.

And Luna because, well she was slightly mad (and wasn't that a scary thought).

It was partially due to this Harry felt so close to the pair in this life.

Sure there were others he was close to in the other life.

People like Neville for example.

But it was painful for Harry seeing the Neville of this timeline.

He was frankly nothing like the Neville Harry had come to know, respect, and occasionally rely on.

He could grew to relate to Neville far more than most.

Not only could he have been the subject of that stupid Prophecy, but he was as much of an outsider as Harry was.

Most people originally thought of him as little more than a Squib.

And when he proved otherwise he never forgot those who previously looked down on him.

It was with those thoughts in mind Harry decided to reach out to the boy.

It also wouldn't do Harry any harm in expanding his social...well not circle as there are only three of them currently.

Would the phrase social triangle suffice? If Neville joined them in their study sessions would that make it a social square, or Oblong?

Harry shook his head.

"Bloody hell Potter you've been hanging out with Luna for too long" Harry thought to himself with a grin.

As though she knew he was thinking about her Luna looked up from the mash potato sculpture she was working on.

"Is that a Nargle?" Harry asked.

Hermione shook her head with a sigh.

"No" Luna replied dreamily.

"It's a a Bornean Bone Belcher" Luna said before explaining that it was the latest creature she and her Father discovered over the summer on their latest hunt for the Crumple Horned Snorkack.

She explained how they live in cemetery's and subsist off the bones of the deceased.

She also explained how to ward off predators they burp with the most fowl smelling odour you wouldn't believe.

During her explanation there were a few tittering from a few Ravenclaw's.

It only took one glare from Harry however to shut them up.

Fortunately for the Ravenclaw's it was then that Dumbledore rose from his seat.

He then gave the usual announcements.

As expected Remus Lupin was once more made the DADA Professor.

He looked exhausted no doubt from the recent Full Moon's effects still lingering and wore his thread bare robes.

He almost demurely nodded to the students when they politely clapped for his appointment as DADA Professor.

As there was no Kiss On Sight Order, there was no need for Lupin to be on board the train.

After all there would be no risk of Dementors to worry about.

"Thank Merlin" Harry thought.

The last thing he needed was one of those beasts forcing him to relive his worst memories.

Something he has vastly more of than most living individuals.

Then came the announcement of Hagrid being the COMC Professor to which he beamed proudly.

He was oblivious to the muttering going on around the student body.

Some in favour of him and others decidedly not so.

"What do you think Harry?" Luna asked.

Harry sighed.

"He certainly knows his animals. Weather he can portray that knowledge effectively to others due to his lack of education and qualifications is a whole other matter" Harry said.

"What do you mean?" Hermione asked.

"He was expelled from Hogwarts in 1943" Harry said earning a gasp from Hermione.

"He was supposedly the one who was responsible for the death of Myrtle Warren" Harry said seeing the blank look on Hermione's face.

"Moaning Myrtle" Harry explained.

"Something about bringing into the castle a deadly beast. I happen to know it was an Acromantula and thus wouldn't have been able to kill Myrtle in the manner she did.

After all he described big yellow eyes and that certainly doesn't match with an Acromantula does it" Harry said.

"But why would they expel him if the evidence didn't match?" Hermione asked appalled.

Harry shrugged.

"Can't say" Harry said.

"But I do know the head boy Tom Marvollo Riddle got a special award for services for the school" Harry added.

Luna immediately had that dreamy expression as she seemed to look past Harry into the distance.

She scrunched up her brow as though seeing something she didn't like.

Despite that it was a rather adorable expression on her usually impassive face.

While the three were talking Dumbledore finished his announcements and then the choir sang, which in Harry's opinion was an improvement on having the students as a whole do so.

After all it prevented the Weasley Twins from dragging it on.

They were then dismissed for the evening.

And Harry, Hermione, and Luna made their way to Ravenclaw tower.

Once more the three settled into their routine.

Unlike before however Harry invited some more people into their study sessions.

At first Hermione was a little dismayed by this.

It wasn't until Harry pointed out that they were all properly vetted and could bring something to the group she relented.

There was obviously Neville from Gryffindor, who was a Herbology prodigy.

Susan Bones from Hufflepuff who was the best student of History Of Magic.

Padma Patil of Ravenclaw like them, whose expertise was in Charms.

And finally Daphne Greengrass, and Tracey Davies from Slytherin.

The latter were the only two Slytherins that seemed to have no issue with people's blood status'.

That Daphne was a budding Transfiguration Mistress, and Tracey would go onto become the next Hogwarts Astronomy Teacher after the war should tell you what they brought to the table.

The group began meeting regularly in the Library for study sessions.

Harry organised it so the best student in a specific subject took the lead and tutored the rest in that subject.

As such each member took what was previously stated as being their best subject with Harry and Hermione splitting Potions and DADA between them.

Thanks to the group the members easily befriended each other too.

Which was something of a plus to all of them as they remained partially withdrawn from most of their houses due to their various circumstance.

And in the study group they kind of found somewhere they felt they belonged which made it more than worth it in Harry's opinion.

Time as it was want to do began to pass by before you know it.

And with it's passing, it wasn't an uncommon sight to see a few of them hanging out on the grounds between lessons.

And in that time Harry had kept himself quite busy.

First and foremost he prevented Malfoy from causing too much trouble in the COMC class.

And due to Harry not being signed up for it he had to stay hidden under his cloak.

But he was glad he did.

After all Malfoy once again was about to insult Buckbeak.

If it wasn't for the compulsion Harry silently cast on his to treat the creature with respect the whole situation from Harry's first timeline would have repeated its self.

Then came the lesson with the Boggart.

The highlight was once again seeing it in Snape like form dressed in Augusta Longbottom's' clothing.

And as you can guess Harry had to use his Occlumency to force the creature to change it's shape into a Dementor.

And not what Harry fear became in the future which was of being a mindless puppet with no agency of his own.

Obviously that would be a pretty hard thing to explain wouldn't it.

It might also tip of Dumbledore.

And for that Harry had to play it safe, hence forcing the Boggart to become a Dementor.

One benefit did come out of it though.

Once again Remus offered to teach Harry the Patronus.

He had to organise those extra lessons around the ones he was still taking with Flitwick for duelling.

And boy was the Charms Professor a taskmaster in regards to his favourite sport.

He quickly pushed Harry to his absolute limits in every session.

Always amazed at just how skilled Harry was as a duellist.

That's not to say he didn't have some faults that couldn't be fixed with a professionals help.

A few weeks later and Snape was once more covering for DADA.

Again he practically informed the entire class that their Professor was a Werewolf.

A real dick move if you asked Harry.

Due to that Harry channelled his inner Marauder and pranked Snape in the next potion's lesson.

It was hilarious seeing Snape's usual clothing and hair transform into a perfect replica of Elvis Presley.

But it was the voice that really sold it.

"Instructions are on the board...Thank you very much" Snape said with a scowl.

His eyes bored into Harry's obviously trying to use Leglimency to determine Harry's guilt or Innocence.

Unfortunately for Snape Harry was by now regained the skill in the mind arts that his future body had after being taught Occlumency properly.

And thus Snape was unable to read anything but pure white static from Harry's mind

Then also came the time for the first Hogsmeade trip of the year.

Harry and all of the study group members (minus Luna who was sadly too young) descended on the town.

"Thank Merlin the Dursley's signed my permission form" Harry thought to himself.

Thanks to the potion Harry dosed them with they were quite willing to sign the form for him.

And as he avoided the house when Aunt Marge was there he avoided any nastiness that could have sprung up from the situation.

Thus also averting the blowing her up incident.

"That's two incidents of magic outside of school I averted in this timeline. I wonder if that would have any effects later" Harry pondered.

"Come on Harry" Hermione said dragging him by the arm.

He smiled at her excitement and then focussed back onto the here and now.

It was several hours later the group returned to the castle happily chatting about what they experienced in the small town.

It was later that night while hidden behind his bed covers and with silencing charms placed around Harry contacted Sirius through a new set of enchanted Mirror's he made.

They spoke for hours about anything and everything.

Most of which was of little importance.

It was just nice to have someone to talk to.

Sirius explained that his health is almost to the point that he was back to normal.

As for his mental health that was being taken care of by a Mind Healer Sirius was seeing.

One where Sirius travelled too and from under heavy Polyjuice disguise.

The latter was Harry's idea as it would give Sirius a degree of freedom he lacked in his last life.

After all the last thing Sirius needed was to feel like he exchanged one prison for another.

Especially not when said prison was the place his best friend and his wife died.

Hell even Grimmauld Place might have been the better option in that regard.

But thankfully due to all the help and support Sirius was getting he could honestly say he was on the mend and looking forward to what the future held.

Even if he was slightly impatient at times and Harry had to keep reminding him to stick to the plan.

To which the perpetual man child would sulk and agree, which would often make Harry laugh.

It was ironic really as it was clear Harry acted more like the caregiver/guardian out of the two.

It was just as well that Harry was thankfully not looking for Sirius to play that role for him this time around.

After all he had lived too many years without anyone acting in that role.

Harry was by now far too self reliant and didn't know if he could ever actually accept anyone stepping in to take up the slack he carries himself.

Harry then shook his head to clear it of such thoughts.

Such ideas were of none importance.

And much like he reminded Sirius he reminded himself to stick to the plan.

Maybe when this was all over and done with, it would actually all work out this time around.

Chapter Three

It took a few more months for Sirius' trial to be made a thing.

In that time Harry had to make several more appearances disguised as Lucius.

And in said disguise he greased a few palms with the money he had made over the years.

Obviously Andromeda, Ted, and Sirius himself were kept up to date with Harry's activities.

It honestly felt nice having some people Harry could be completely open with.

And thanks to Harry's Time Turner and the vanishing Cabinet he was able to return to the cottage and see them quite often.

Something which worked much better at keeping Sirius on the straight and narrow.

What also helped was giving Sirius something to do.

That kept his mind focussed and away from thoughts of capturing the rat.

Not that Sirius would have much luck as Harry had already taken care of that.

All it required was sneaking into the Gryffindor dorms under his cloak.

A quick stunner to the rat and then channelling the Hermione of the other timeline and placing him in an unbreakable jar and the task was done.

He then made another appearance at the Ministry.

And through one of the the many Auror's on Lucius' pay roll the Rat was handed over.

Obviously Harry made sure there was no avenue for escape for the rat.

And thus left feeling rather proud of himself.

Then a few weeks later when the trial was finally called it was an open and shut case.

With Sirius agreeing to testify under Veritaserum, and with the capture of Peter Pettigrew there wasn't much anyone could do to counteract the narrative Sirius' expensive legal council portrayed.

Sirius was given his freedom, and compensated for years of illegal confinement in Azkaban.

Dumbledore, Crouch Snr, and Bagnold were made to look incompetent.

Which had Fudge positively preening under the positive press as being the Minister who rectified such a dangerous oversight.

Harry felt sick to his stomach at having to participate in such a political swamp.

But he knew from experience he couldn't leave such things up to chance any more.

Sirius obviously chose to remain with Andromeda and Ted for the time being.

He didn't feel quite up to living alone just yet.

But he did thank Harry profusely for being a man of his word.

He stated how proud of him his parents would have been.

Which honestly left Harry a Little choked up.

It was later that evening Harry used the Resurrection Stone for the first time.

He summoned the shade of his parents.

And much like Sirius had said they were indeed incredibly proud of him.

Obviously he didn't keep them in this realm for too long.

That would have been cruel and cause them untold agony.

Then came Pettigrew trial and he sang like a canary.

Unfortunately the ones he named were already free on the "Imperius Defence".

Thus any hope of saving his furry little backside went out the window.

He was sentenced to Azkaban in the same cell Sirius had.

Only with added Animagus Wards suggested as a security measure.

He was also obviously stripped of the Order Of Merlin he received supposedly posthumously.

All in all things were looking up for Harry.

Soon the winter break arrived.

And for the first time in this timeline Harry wasn't staying in the castle.

Instead he was staying at the Tonks'.

Hermione and Luna were obviously over the moon with happiness for Harry.

Especially after he explained that Sirius was his Godfather.

Both knew what Harry's life at the Dursley's was like.

And both knew if not for the potions he dosed them with it would have remained as such.

As such they were relieved that Harry actually had some kind of family he could rely on.

"If only they knew" Harry thought to himself.

It was kind of odd boarding the train for the Winter break.

Him, Hermione, and Luna was in "their" compartment.

There were however the occasional visitor this time around.

Mostly just people from their study group.

Harry was met at the platform by Sirius and Andromeda.

People were still giving Sirius a wide birth, obviously still uncomfortable with the supposed "Right Hand of Voldemort" in their midst.

Harry snorted "Bloody sheeple" He thought to himself.

Sirius however didn't seem to care one bit.

Instead a bright smile bloomed across his face.

It was a far cry from the deranged one Harry remembered from his first meeting in the other timeline.

Or the cocky one that saw him struck with a stunner and knocked through the veil.

There was something more natural and dare Harry say wholesome about it.

And boy was that a word he never thought he would use to describe Sirius.

Harry introduced Sirius to Hermione and Luna.

And it was clear Sirius wanted to make some kind of joke about them being Harry's girlfriends.

But one glare from Andromeda put a stop to that before the words could even leave his lips.

Harry then said goodbye to Luna and Hermione and travelled by Side along (as they had to hide that Harry could Apparate) to the Tonks' home.

Over the course of the winter holidays it was decided by Sirius and Andromeda that they would keep Harry busy.

Both knew the Prophecy and thus decided it would be in his best interest if he could prepare.

Due to this Sirius put Harry through Hit Wizard training.

Which combined with his own skills as an Auror, and the duelling training he did with Flitwick he was able to handle much better than Sirius expected him to.

As for Andromeda she crammed as much knowledge about potions in his head.

She said it would be a shame to let such talent in potions go to waste especially given how crappy the potions course had become under Snape.

It was clear she hated the guy profusely for what he had done to her subject.

Not that Harry minded as he was able to learn some things he never learned of before.

He also shared with her some of Slytherin's recipes.

Something she as a former Slytherin was amazed by.

That resulted in Harry side-alonging her into the Chamber Of Secrets, along with Sirius.

It was there they did most of their training over the break.

Then came Christmas day, and Harry had to admit it was the best one he could remember.

Once again he received his Firebolt from Sirius.

From Andromeda he received a series of Master grade Potion brewing equipment.

It was her obvious desire to take him on as her apprentice.

Something he didn't mind encouraging.

From Hermione he received a broom maintenance kit (telling Harry Hermione knew what Sirius was purchasing for him) along with some books that once again Harry's library lacked.

From Luna he received another painted picture. This time being of Harry's parents which he absolute adored.

That and another years subscription to the Quibbler.

The first of which he read and almost spat his Pumpkin juice all over the others sitting at the table.

The reason being that detailed that Lord Voldemort was actually named Tom Marvollo Riddle.

It showed how the name would rearrange to spell "I am Lord Voldemort".

There was a lot of truth in the article such as Tom being the child born between a squib of the Gaunt Line and a Muggle named Thomas Riddle Snr.

Of course there was also some absolute nonsense in there too as should be expected from the Quibbler.

Harry's favourite of which was that Voldemort's true aim wasn't about blood purity.

After all with his Half Blood nature that would be simply ridiculous.

No his real aim was for making Star Wars Day (A celebration of his Muggle roots) a National holiday in Magical Britain.

The latter of which had Harry howling with laughter.

He could barely even talk to explain to the Tonk's and Sirius why he was laughing so hard.

He instead handed over the paper and soon they too were joining him in his hysterics.

Nymphadora (call me Tonks) Tonks lost control to such a degree her features began to shift wildly.

The rest of Christmas was no less joyous.

Remus was invited for Dinner.

And it wasn't lost on any of the people there who knew the future what those doe eyes and fluttering lashes Tonks was sending his way meant.

Something Sirius was prone to teasing the pair about at every opportunity.

It seemed everyone present wanted for Teddy to be a thing again.

Of course Harry also shared with Tonks and Remus about the future he came from.

He did so at Andromeda and Sirius' urging.

Their reasoning was that we needed more allies.

An argument Harry was loathe to agree with.

But he was trying to be better than Dumbledore, and Voldemort.

He didn't want to be so isolationist in his approach.

He also didn't want a bunch of mindless followers either.

And due to the vehemence of their desires Harry agreed.

You can probably imagine how Remus and Tonks reacted to seeing Harry's memories.

It was safe to say there were plenty a tear shed between the pair.

Especially knowing that their other selves left behind an almost new-born.

Once they got control of their emotions however they were replaced with looks of determination.

they then began planning with Andromeda, Sirius, and Ted on how best to take care of things.

Something Harry smiled encouragingly at.

It was nice seeing people take their own initiative and think for themselves.

Maybe if more people did so the future wouldn't end up being quite as messed up.

It was decided that Harry would continue his Extra lesson's with Remus.

However as he now knew Harry could produce a corporeal Patronus, which was still a stag and brought a tear to Remus, and Sirius' eyes.

It was decided Remus would put Harry through the same training Remus did to gain his defence Mastery from abroad.

Also Andromeda demanded Harry go through the Potions Mastery with her too.

Due to that they pushed him to complete his Hogwarts Assignment in a far faster timeframe than he was doing.

It would have honestly been impossible if not for his pilfered Time Turner.

It was with this kind of schedule set out for him that he returned to Hogwarts.

And Harry kept to the schedule almost religiously.

He returned to the kind of work ethic that allowed him to survive his crazy Auror training.

Of course this meant he began getting the same kind of bags under his eyes that Hermione was getting trying to keep up with studying every subject Hogwarts had available.

This continued until one morning when Luna had had enough.

"Alright that's enough!" She yelled at the two.

Harry and Hermione were shocked as Luna rarely every shouted at anyone.

As such they were shocked silent.

"I know you pair are living more each day than the rest of us but you have to take care of yourselves. If you keep up like this you will only harm yourselves in the long run" Luna argued.

Hermione was just about to say something but Luna cut her off.

"Don't lie to me Hermione. I see more than you realise, and as such know the kind of magic you have around your neck" her eyes drifted towards Harry.

Thankfully she didn't' say anything and he simply nodded in response.

"Sorry Luna" Harry said apologetically.

"We will do better" he added.

"Hell I think I know the perfect place where we can get some rest" Harry said and directed them to the Room Of Requirement.

He explained how the Elves had taught him about it. Which caused the conversation to be side tracked to explaining to Hermione about the Elves.

It was Luna who explained however that without the bond they wither and die, as they magic needs to be purified by their master.

Hermione immediately felt bad for her initial idea of freeing them all before she had all the information.

It was amusingly something of a wake up call for her to keep her opinions to herself until she had all the pertinent information.

However such dower thoughts were soon replaced by the wonders of the Room Of Requirement.

That it could turn into a perfect replica of Hermione's home made it all the better.

And soon she would portion off a period of time each day to rest and relax here.

It made it much easier for Hermione to cope with the work load.

Harry however spent most of his time at the cottage when he needed to relax and unwind.

This routine continued until the end of the year.

Unfortunately this year didn't end quite as well as he would have hoped.

Once more Trelawney issued the same Prophecy about the servant returning to the Master. Only this time she spoke it to Neville wo arrived at the study group looking all kinds of shocked.

And while Harry felt bad for using Leglimency on his friend he had to make sure the Prophecy was as he remembered.

Then days later the Prophet Detailed Pettigrew escape.

Harry quickly rushed to Azkaban to examine the scene of the crime.

He quickly found that somebody had shut down the Animagus Wards allowing the rat the chance to escape.

He soon found it was the Head of Azkaban's human guards.

Unfortunately the man was most definitely under the effects of the Imperius.

The question however is who cast the Imperius on the guard.

The most obvious suspect would be Lucius Malfoy.

Unfortunately Harry soon struck that off as a possibility.

Whoever it was though. They were good.

They most definitely covered their tracks rather well.

Thus it told Harry that whoever it is most probably had an awareness of Auror procedure.

And given just how many Auror's secretly have the mark in this timeline.

And those willing to do illegal acts for gold the list of suspects was vast to say the least.

And sadly Harry didn't have time to work through the list one by one.

The best he could do was leave an anonymous note for Amelia Bones to clean up her department.

He hoped that did the trick.

And as Amelia always struck him as a by the book kind of woman he had no doubt she would get things sorted.

Harry instead focussed on what he could do.

That was prepare for the inevitable confrontation with Voldemort.

Something that looked almost inevitable now.

Thankfully he wasn't doing this alone.

He had a large support system around him.

Something he had never had in the other timeline.

As such he felt he could handle almost anything.

Thus he pushed ever onwards trying to find his limits.

All the while moving ever closer to his goal of being Voldemort's equal this time around.

And so even with the Time Turner being used to it's full potential time moved ever onwards.

The end of the year came.

Harry once more aced his exams. Albeit with a bit more difficulty as he had Ancient Runes and Arithmancy to learn this time.

Thankfully his Diadem, Occlumency, and Agilis Legere charm kept him ahead of his classmates (with the exception of Hermione) by a large margin.

He also added doing his assignments with a Dicta Quill as another time saving tip.

Unfortunately he couldn't take credit as that was all Sirius' idea.

Due to that he purchased three top of the line Dicta Quills for himself, Luna, and Hermione.

Who were still using the Witt sharpening potion, Occlumency, and Agilis, Legere combination to stay ahead of their peers also.

Ravenclaw once again won the Quidditch Cup. It seems the rival seekers (with the exception of Cedric) couldn't keep their eyes off of Cho thus leading to the Eagles repeated wins.

That however didn't stop Slytherin once again managed to win the House Cup.

Once again thanks to Snape's repeated manipulation of the house point system.

That Dumbledore gave tacit agreement to such behaviour leaves no wonder as to why so many Slytherins grow up thinking they can lie, cheat, and steal with no consequences.

It was after all ingrained in them from an early age.

It was to such an extent that it was only ever really first years who were bothered by the end of year results.

That's not to say however that all Slytherin's are bad.

There were after all some Slytherin's like Daphne, and Tracey who were embarrassed the method their house repeatedly won.

"It takes the meaning out of it" Daphne would often complain.

That didn't stop people like Malfoy crowing about their victory though.

Harry however put such thoughts out of his mind.

He didn't have time to worry about childish Hogwarts rubbish.

No he had a war on the horizon.

And he vowed to make sure far less pointless deaths happened because of it.

He kept this mentality constantly and before he knew it he was back at the Durley's for the summer.

Of course he would only be there just enough to maintain and recharge the blood wards.

The rest of his time would be spent with Sirius and the Others.

Next year was going to be a big one and they all wanted to be as prepared for it as possible.
